"Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it...

Zechariah 12:2-3

Perhaps you have seen Jerusalem in the news lately. If not, your one of the very few. In the past few weeks, attempt after attempt has been made to find a way to bring peace to the Middle East. Specifically between Israel and the Palestinians. Each time the peace talks have come to a standstill because of Jerusalem. Exactly as the prophets of God foretold 2,500 years ago, Jerusalem has become a 'cup of trembling' and a 'burdensome stone' just as predicted. Everyone is afraid to mess with Jerusalem, and everyone who has tried has failed.

"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you."      Psalms 122:6
 

There are many cities in the world today that are famous. Some for their location, some for their great size, some for their climate and resources, some for their industry and some for their historical significance. Jerusalem is in a bad location, extremely small, has a terrible climate, very few resources and little industry.
