Yes, I want to survive you
say, well good, because I have some Good News for you! Someone has already bought and paid
for your way of escape. Of course this did not come cheap, it cost this someone their very
life. You mean someone cared about me, so much, that they were willing to give their life
so that I might survive what's about to happen to this planet. Oh yes, and it gets even
better, not only will you escape the coming perils but you also receive eternal life! Just
who is this person you ask?
This person is Jesus Christ. He loves us all, so much, that he was willing to die in the
most humiliating and painful way of execution ever thought of by mankind, crucifixion! Oh
I've watched movies and seen pictures of the crucifixion, it wasn't so bad, you say.
You've seen worse, you think!

Well let me tell you what really
happened. Its the greatest love story ever told. Jesus was betrayed and arrested and
brought before the high priest, where false witnesses accused him of blasphemy. Then he
was blind folded where he was spit upon and repeatedly hit and slapped in the face. It's
hard to avoid hits when your blindfolded. Next, his own disciples disowned him by denying
they knew him. Then he was brought before the governor and the governor offered to release
him, but instead the very people he had come to rescue, demanded the release of a known
thief and murderer by the name of Barabbas.
Jesus was then flogged and as was custom in those days he was flogged with a
cat-o-nine-tails, a whip with nine long strips of leather at the very end. To each one of
the strips was tied a piece of metal, glass or bone. With each swing of the whip the
pieces would dig into and rip out pieces of flesh off the back of Jesus (Sorry for such
graphic details, but that's the way it was). Victim's were only whipped 39 times, because
no one lived past that amount. Historians write that the bowels of Jesus were revealed on
his backside.
Next he was further mocked, stripped of his clothing, his beard was completely plucked
out, he had to wear a crown of thorns upon his already bloody and swollen forehead. He was
given a scarlet robe and a staff, where once again he was spit upon and hit over the head
with the staff. As the soldiers chanted 'Hail to the King of the Jews'. Then he was led
away to be crucified.

Jesus carried the heavy, splintered cross upon his bloody and torn back as
far as he could. Next, spikes were driven through his hands and feet, Jesus was barely
clothed and unrecognizable as a human being as the cross was hoisted up in the air between
the crosses of a thief and a murderer for all to see.
Being so weak and unable to lift himself away from the cross to take a
breath, Jesus died. A spear was jabbed into his side to make sure he was dead. Both water
and blood trickled out, doctors tell us that the water was a sign that his heart had
actually burst. Then, to add insult to injury, the soldiers rolled dice to see who got his
clothes. Jesus did more than just die upon that cross, every sin, past, present and future
that you and I ever committed or will commit was cast upon Jesus on that cross. PAID IN FULL!
"For Christ died for our
sins once for all, the righteous, for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to
death in the body but made alive by the spirit." 1Peter 3:18
Yes, you can't keep a good man down. Jesus was raised
from the dead. He defeated death and right now he is in heaven preparing a place for you,
and all who believe in him, a place beyond our wildest dreams or imagination. A place
where we will live for eternity, with new bodies, that never decay, no more sickness, no
more dying. Jesus paid the ultimate price, because he wants us to reap the ultimate
reward. That reward is knowing him and letting him into our lives, becoming a TRUE
BELIEVER.
For shortly, "The Lord Jesus himself will come down from
heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of
God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. (Every true believer that has already passed
away) After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them
in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
Therefore encourage each other with these words." 1Thessalonians 4:17
We call it the Rapture or the Great Escape, in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, every
true believer in Jesus Christ shall just vanish off the face of the earth to be with the
Lord. Back on earth, the 7 years of false peace and safety shall begin, giving way to the
real birth pains of destruction during the last 3 1/2 years of this period the Bible calls
the Great Tribulation. Except, it won't be so great for those who are left behind.
How can I become a true believer, I'm glad you asked, its really quite simple. First you
have to admit that you are a sinner, and unless you are perfect, you are one, we all are,
but now you can become a saved sinner. How would you like to have to stand before God and
have every lie, every bad thought, every time you broke the law, written on a giant chalk
board, I think for most of us it would take a lot of chalk. But when you accept Jesus into
your life, he wipes the slate clean and throws away the chalk.
After admitting that you are a sinner, you need to ask
forgiveness and let Jesus know that you believe that he died for you and that you want him
to be Lord of your life. A simple prayer will do, just say, "Lord Jesus I am a
sinner, I ask your forgiveness and I want to thank you for dying on the cross for me and
my sins and I want you become Lord of my life. That's all you need to do, trust him and he
will start changing your life for the better. Start reading the Bible and ask him to teach
you, he will. Ask him to direct you to a good church that teaches his word, he will guide
you. Start praying and asking him to direct your life, he will teach you how to live.
