An Interesting Take on “No man knoweth the day or the hour……” - A.V. Rauf - http://bibleprophecyfortoday.com/2015/07/05/an-interesting-take-on-no-man-knoweth-the-day-or-the-hour/
Just a few days ago, we witnessed the convergence of the planets Jupiter and Venus, a celestial event that has come to be known as the bethlehem Star. Here is the link:
John 5:43—I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
Interestingly enough, just a few days after this “sign,” a prominent teacher within the ultra-orthodox Jewish community, Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, has since been giving clear and unequivocal messages that the coming of the Messiah is imminent. The Rabbi since last summer’s war in Gaza, has been spreading this message of imminent return. He is urging Jews to make Aliyah as soon as possible. Aliyah, the Hebrew verb for “going up”, refers to immigrating to Israel, which is seen as higher spiritual action that can help herald in the coming of the Messiah. In an answer to Rabbi Kanievsky’s call, multitudes of Jews from France have begun to arrive in Israel. As there has been an increase anti-Semitic and Islamic fueled violence across Europe, let alone globally perhaps, it is fair to ascertain that many more Jews will be heading home……soon!
However this time, when he was asked about the timing of the Messiah’s arrival, Rabbi Kanievsky answered, “At the end of the Sabbatical year.” Several people have asked the Rabbi to verify this and he has given the same answer each time. This year is the Sabbatical year and it will be ending on the 29th day of Elul, which, by the Gregorian calendar falls on Saturday, September 12, 2015.
Mark 13:32—But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
God is not in the business of catching his own children off guard. As a matter of fact, in every single big judgement of the past, God has always warned over and again.
Luke 21:36—Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
What the Bible does say regarding the coming of the Lord is that no one knows the “day or hour”. We know that “Day and hour” is a very specific short time period. Besides, there just may be another profound message in the “day and hour” story. Pay close attention here because this may be of utmost importance….
Leviticus 23:1-4—And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings. These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.
The chapter ends as so:
Leviticus 23:41-44—And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God. And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord.
In yet another previous post I mentioned how Jesus Christ fulfilled the Spring feasts with His first coming and how He would fulfill His second coming with the Fall feasts. Here is the link:
One of the seven Feasts of the Lord is called the Feast of Trumpets. It is also referred to as Rosh Hashanah . Of the seven feasts, this one is the only one that doesn’t have an exact starting time. This feast begins when the new moon is sighted and this has a slight variable time to it.
In other words we may be able to observe when the new moon is coming, but we may be out by a very short time. For this very reason, the Feast of Trumpets is also referred to as “the feast that no one knoweth the day or hour of”! WOW!!!!!
The seven feasts are the feasts of : Passover, Unleavened Bread, First fruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles.
Each of these feasts has a prophetic meaning and fulfillment, as mentioned in the above referenced link. Note that the next one due for fulfilment is the Feast of Trumpets.
Now, what does this feast stand for and what is its prophetic fulfillment? Many Bible scholars agree that the Feast of Trumpets may allude to the coming seven year tribulation period. There’s wide agreement that this feast will mark the start of the tribulation period. In other words, the tribulation period will begin on a Feast of Trumpets.
If Trumpets is also called the “feast of the day and hour of which no one knows” could this mean that our Lord is saying that the tribulation period may begin on a Feast of Trumpets? Earlier it was stated that when he was asked about the timing of the Messiah’s arrival, Rabbi Kanievsky answered, “At the end of the Sabbatical year.” Again, this year is the Sabbatical year and it will be ending on the 29th day of Elul, which, by the Gregorian calendar falls on Saturday, September 12, 2015.
By the way, this year, 2015, in addition to the Blood Moons and the Tetrad occurrence, 2 total solar eclipses will complement the 4 lunar eclipses on THE JEWISH NEW YEAR & THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2015!!! As they say, “Coincidence,” is not a kosher word!
Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, has been sending messages to his people the Jews urging them to make their journey to Israel in order to hearken the coming of the “messiah” and they are listening.
Hebrews 10:25--Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Matthew 25:13— Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
The “day and hour” is a very specific point in time. If it were not possible to know the time in the wider sense, as many people claim, why should we “watch?” Better still, what are we to “watch” for?
Now just exactly who is this “messiah” they are waiting for? Let us also keep in mind as mentioned in the very first Scriptures mentioned in this post, Jesus warned the unbelieving masses of this time that there would come a day when they would accept a false messiah as the Christ, while denying the true Christ, Jesus. In the midst of much that has transpired this year and with the economic, political, moral upheavals that many have witnessed, the world is eagerly awaiting a solution to its problems and are seeking a “Messianic” figure to arise and save the world.
IF this Rabbi was correct in what he is saying then the world will find out very soon.
