At this moment, we are still waiting for the other shoe to drop. On October 1st, Iran launched approximately 200 missiles at Israel, and many of them hit their targets. Since that time, Israeli officials have been promising that there will be a very strong military response. Could that military response include a strike on Iran’s nuclear program? That is what former prime minister Naftali Bennett wants, and he is the most popular politician in Israel right now. There has also been speculation that Iran’s oil fields could be hit. But earlier this week it seemed like that was out of the question, because CNN was reporting that the coming Israeli strike on Iran would be “limited to military targets” only… Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have assured the US that a counterstrike on Iran will be limited to military targets rather than oil or nuclear facilities, according to a source. Other media outlets were reporting the same thing, and many of us trusted those reports. But now Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made it abundantly clear that those reports were not accurate… Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took a swipe at President Biden’s administration Tuesday, stating firmly that Israel – not the U.S. – will decide how best to retaliate against Iran’s recent aggression. Biden administration officials have urged Israel to show restraint against both Iran and Hezbollah, the terrorist proxy group operating in Lebanon. Netanyahu’s regime has mulled action against Iran since it fired roughly 200 missiles into Israeli territory on Oct. 1. “We listen to the opinions of the United States, but we will make our final decisions based on our national interest,” Netanyahu said in a statement. Israel is going to strike Iran. When it happens, we shall see what targets they have decided to hit. Of course the Iranians have pledged to hammer Israel no matter what type of attack happens. And if Iran sends more missiles into Israel, the Israelis will strike Iran even harder than they did the first time. We are rapidly approaching a point of no return, and the all-out war between Israel and Iran that I have been warning about for years is at the door. Needless to say, the Israelis and the Iranians are not talking to one another directly, but there had been hope that the U.S. might be able to get the Iranians to restrain themselves. Unfortunately, any hope of that happening appears to be gone because Iran has “halted indirect talks with Washington” at this stage… Tehran has halted indirect talks with Washington due to the escalating regional tension, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Sunday, as Israel continued to plan a retaliatory strike against his country. “Currently, we do not see any ground for these talks, until we can get past the current crisis,” Araghchi said while visiting Oman, which has played an intermediary role in the talks. His comments were reported by Iranian state-owned news outlet Press TV. “Oman has always contributed greatly to solving the regional problems; and regarding Iran and the US, it has always tried to play a positive role in conveying a message or preparing the ground for negotiations,” he said. Once Israel sends missiles into Iran, there will be no going back. Of course a point of no return between Israel and Hezbollah has already been crossed. Israeli forces have been conducting ground operations in southern Lebanon, and Netanyahu is pledging that his nation will continue “to hit Hezbollah mercilessly in all parts of Lebanon”… “We will continue to hit Hezbollah mercilessly in all parts of Lebanon – also in Beirut,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed during a visit to the Golani training base near Binyamina, where four IDF soldiers were killed in a drone strike on Sunday. “We are fighting a tough campaign against Iran’s Axis of Evil that wants to totally destroy us,” Netanyahu said. “They won’t make it. We keep fighting. We pay painful prices, but we have tremendous achievements – and we will continue to achieve them.” About five million people live in Lebanon, and approximately one-fifth of them have been instructed to evacuate from their homes by the IDF… Around a fifth of people in Lebanon have fled their homes, and around a quarter of the country is under Israeli military evacuation orders, according to the Middle East director of the United Nations Refugee Agency. Lebanon’s entire population is around 5 million people. Hezbollah has been wounded, but it is far from defeated. I am expecting the fight for southern Lebanon to be quite dramatic. Meanwhile, the Jerusalem Post is reporting that two IDF tanks actually entered Syrian territory on Monday… Two Israeli tanks crossed into Syria on Monday, according to Israeli media, citing Syrian reports. Acoording to the reports, the tanks positioned themselves near the border town of Kwdana/Kodna, south of Quneitra, which has been the site of several tank battles, most famously in the 1973 Yom Kippur War. So far, the Jerusalem Post is the only major outlet that I have seen report this. If this is true, Israel could also soon find itself directly fighting the Syrian military. Is the IDF spreading itself too thin? We shall soon find out. Meanwhile, there have been some very alarming developments on the Korean peninsula. The North Koreans have destroyed a very important road that was supposed to be used as a major highway when the two countries eventually reunited, and they are warning that “war may break out any moment”… North Korea has warned that “war may break out any moment” after South Korea allegedly flew drones into Pyongyang – and it retaliated by destroying roads linking the countries. The stark warning came after the country’s foreign ministry claimed that South Korean drones carrying propaganda leaflets critical of leader Kim Jong-un had flown over the North Korean capital Pyongyang three times. They claimed that the drones carrying leaflets filled with “inflammatory rumours and rubbish” were flown over the city on October 3, 9 and 10. The North then blew up sections of road that, while not in use, are seen as symbolic of efforts to improve ties and, eventually, reunite the peninsula. I have not written much about rising tensions on the Korean peninsula because I have been so focused on the Middle East, Russia and China. But there is no doubt that this is a very serious situation. The North Koreans are well prepared for an invasion of South Korea, and if Kim Jong Un senses an opportunity he may pull the trigger. Needless to say, the Biden administration is desperate to keep another major conflict from erupting right now, because another major conflict would make the Democrats look bad. This is especially true for the Middle East. If Iran and Israel start lobbing lots of missiles at one another, that could be the biggest “October surprise” that we have ever seen. The result was the adoption of the “Pact for the Future,” which lays the final pieces for their “New World Order.” The “Pact for the Future” is a 56-page document that our leaders just committed us to. The centerpiece of this agreement is designed to “steer humanity on a new course.” This is a global agenda that literally covers just about every aspect of daily life. The UN describes the Pact as a “landmark declaration” pledging action towards an improved world for tomorrow’s generations. The agreement adopted by 193 members includes a pledge to move faster towards achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement commitments on climate change. Seven Countries Oppose This game-changing “Pact for the Future” was overwhelmingly approved except for a small group of seven countries that tried but failed to pass a last-minute amendment. Why was there opposition, and who opposed it? Russia, Iran, North Korea, Belarus, Syria, and Nicaragua introduced a last-minute amendment to the draft, which revolved around the role of external entities having a say in their domestic affairs. In short, these countries do not want outside influences dictating what they have to do inside their borders. With their amendment failing, Russia responded by saying they would “distance themselves from this document.” You would think an agreement of this magnitude would be the lead on every news broadcast and headline across the globe. However, this news was pretty much ignored by the Mainstream Media, especially here in the West. Most people I have asked have never heard of the “Pact for the Future,” which is interesting because, with this lack of knowledge, there was very little concern about whether or not we should commit to an agenda that lays the foundation for a “New World Order.” Global Digital Compact On September 22, 2024, the United Nations posted this announcement on its website: “World leaders today adopted a Pact for the Future that includes a Global Digital Compact and a Declaration on Future Generations.“ Time out! What is the Global Digital Compact? Reading directly from the UN website, this Global Digital Compact (GDC) will:
Deliver an Inclusive Digital Economy Did you catch some of those keywords? They are going to “deliver an inclusive digital economy.” They are going to connect ALL people, kids (schools), and hospitals (which will be your personal medical records) together on the Internet. They will facilitate access to information, control misinformation and disinformation, and prevent it from getting out. Which means they will censor ANYONE who disagrees with their agenda. They are going to create an international panel to form a global AI policy, which means they will use AI to control everyone globally! This agreement will advance their Sustainable Development Goals, which means ESG scores, 15-minute cities, electric vehicles, digital IDs, and digital currency will all be fast-tracked globally. Combatting Digital Misinformation This document says they will be “combatting digital misinformation: Governments and tech companies must work together to combat misinformation, hate speech, and cybercrime through regulations, transparency mandates, and real-time monitoring systems.” Question: What will be considered hate speech? Answer: Anything that takes a Biblical stance, especially anything concerning marriage and gender. Sustainable Technology Practices Another section of this agreement is Sustainable Technology Practices. What does that mean? It means governments will now have the green light to “advocate for green technology” and to “contribute to the fight against climate change,” which means they will do whatever they wish in the name of climate change. Universal Connectivity This agreement says another “Key Principle of the GDC” is “Universal Connectivity,” meaning access to the Internet will now be seen as a fundamental human right. Having the Internet is now a human right! Why? Because they need it to control all aspects of human life. Meaning they need the world to be digital! We can’t feed everybody in third-world countries, but by golly, they will have digital access. The UN will make sure they have Internet over food. After this agreement was signed, the UN released the following statement on their website: This Pact is the culmination of an inclusive, years-long process to adapt international cooperation to the realities of today and the challenges of tomorrow. The most wide-ranging international agreement in many years, covering entirely new areas as well as issues on which agreement has not been possible in decades, the Pact aims, above all, to ensure that international institutions can deliver in the face of a world that has changed dramatically since they were created. The President of the General Assembly said the Pact would “lay the foundations for a sustainable, just, and peaceful global order—for all peoples and nations.” In layman’s terms, this agreement will transform our planet into a one-world government! The Secretary-General called this agreement “UN 2.0” and said the world is now a modern UN family—a global family. Turbo-charge the Implementation of Their Sustainable Development Goals The UN now openly says that the “Pact for the Future” was specifically designed “to turbo-charge the implementation of their Sustainable Development Goals.” Again, their website states: Halfway through the 2030 Agenda, the world is not on track to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. It is not too late to change course if we all rethink, refocus, and recharge. In layman’s terms, what this statement is saying is that they plan to regulate and control all forms of daily life. The “Pact for the Future” will play a more “central role of the United Nations for the global population.” In layman’s terms, “you will own nothing, and you will be happy!” The Declaration on Future Generations Along with the “Pact for the Future,” the UN also sealed another agreement called “The Declaration on Future Generations.” This is designed to pave the way for a sustainable future. In layman’s terms, our kids and grandkids will not be able to reverse or get out of the agreements governments are putting in place today. As they say, the goal is to influence global policy and actions for future generations. State of Palestine All of this may sound good to some, but let’s not forget this is the same body of decision makers—the UN General Assembly—who just four days earlier, on September 18th, voted to hand the Old City of Jerusalem, home to Judaism’s holiest sites, to what it calls the “State of Palestine.” They voted to remove Jews from Jerusalem! This action included a demand that Israel withdraw “all its military forces from the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including its airspace and maritime space.” In addition, all countries were asked to boycott Israel both diplomatically and economically. According to Scripture, this decision will be their downfall and will end in their own demise. God has said:

It was likely before the creation of the world although we cannot be sure of the exact time of its occurrence. But sometime long long ago, Lucifer, the anointed Cherubim, led a rebellion against God almighty in Heaven. The head Angel was so enamored with his own beauty and great gifts that he wanted to ascend to the heights of Heaven and be worshipped as God Himself: “For thou hast said in thine heart, ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north!” -Isaiah 14:13 Of course, his vain plan failed and God sentenced Him and 1/3 of the angelic realm (the devil’s demonic government who rebelled with him ) to an eternally damned state. There was one caveat, however. The sentence was read but the start date was deferred to a later time. Thus for six millennia, we have seen Lucifer (known as Satan) deceive and destroy in every way he possibly could. He is bitter and he is disillusioned. But He is cunning and has a powerful team of fallen angels at his side and they are determined to either go down swinging (taking as much of humanity as they can down with them) or hopefully in their depraved minds, figure out a way to still overcome God. After creation, in the Garden of Eden, Satan planted a seed with Eve that has morphed over the last 6000 years. Satan lied to Eve and told her that if she betrayed God and ate the fruit of the “Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil “she and her offspring, known as humanity, would be like God. Their eyes would be opened and they could then see things as they really are and not simply be blindly following God’s restrictive agenda. They could gain wisdom and power and be gods themselves if they would just follow Satan’s plan instead of obeying God, whom the Devil insinuated was hiding good things from them. Eve caved in under the tempting pressure! Eve and Adam ate the fruit and sin entered the world. From that point, the ball started rolling toward a world where Satan’s worldview would constantly be uplifted and promoted by fallen man to counter God’s worldview which would be embraced by far fewer human beings. Satan’s ultimate goal was to lead an entire world in rebellion against God and to be worshipped by humanity in place of God almighty! But …God had different plans. GOD’S PLAN In Gen 3:15 God promised Satan that a Savior would come from Eve’s offspring sometime in the far-off future: “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” That Savior would destroy Satan and his evil schemes although the Savior Himself would also endure suffering. In the end, that Savior would restore fallen humanity to God, but through the ages, the story of human struggle would be long and painful on its way to their ultimate renewal. SATAN’S RESPONSE Satan knew the summary of God’s plans but not the details so he became obsessed and fixated on stopping the promise. Over the next 1500 years, Satan and his demonic cohorts managed to corrupt nearly the entire world and he may have believed that stopping the future savior from coming was within his grasp. If no one was left to honor God, the Devil figured he would win. But as always is the case, our Heavenly Father preserved for Himself a small family that still was faithful to Him. Noah and his family were protected through the first catastrophic global judgment of the Great Flood and God started over with a believing remnant to populate the post-flood world and disarm Satan’s attempt to utterly pervert the whole planet. A few hundred years later Satan attempted to unite the world at Babel and bring about a satanic kingdom under an Antichrist-type figure named Nimrod. The timing for such a one-world order however was not right because God had not yet provided the Savior that He promised would spiritually save mankind. God scattered the peoples of Babel to the corners of the world creating the various nation states. He also changed their language so they would have great obstacles in ever again coming together under the Devil as one people moving forward. Communication would be a huge problem. And once again …Satan was foiled and he had to wait! THE SAVIOR’S FAMILY Later …God called Abraham to follow Him by faith and in turn for his faithfulness, God would establish Abraham’s family as the ones that would ultimately bring forth the Promised Savior. The Nation of Israel was born and through that family, the whole world would be blessed : “The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” -Gen 12:1-3 From the moment Satan figured out that Abraham’s Israeli children were the chosen family to bring forth the Savior, it has been his 3 part obsession to A) take the world’s worship for himself contrary to God’s plan …B) keep the Messiah from coming and reclaiming humanity for God’s glory…C) snuff out Israel so the promises of God could never be fulfilled. -He persuaded Pharaoh to try to kill all the newborn Jewish babies in an attempt to eliminate the promised Savior. -He deluded Haman to try and exterminate all the Jews in Persia. -He riled up Herod to seek baby Jesus to try and kill God’s Messiah. -The Devil also tried internal subterfuge. He stirred unrest and unfaithfulness among the Jewish people to betray God from generation to generation often bringing harsh judgment on the nation from their Heavenly Father. Centuries passed, the kingdom was split and both halves (Israel and Judah) experienced exile to foreign lands as punishment for their unfaithfulness to God yet a remnant was always preserved by the Lord to keep the plan moving forward and the Savior’s arrival time on schedule. THE SAVIOR ARRIVES When Jesus finally appeared on the scene, the Devil tried to tempt Him into taking the kingdoms of the world as a gift with the sole stipulation that Jesus had to bow down to the Chief of the fallen angels. (If God Himself would bow down to Satan then his goal would be achieved) Of course, our Lord rebuked Satan and refused the offer knowing full well that the world’s kingdoms were destined by God’s decree to one day all be His to judge and rule over but that would be at His Second coming. He had other business to take care of on His First earthly visit. He had to die on the cross for humanity (to save them spiritually) and build His church to graft in the Gentiles before the world would ever be restored physically and united under Christ’s global Lordship on David’s throne! At the cross, Satan may have temporarily thought he had gained a victory watching God’s Son rejected as Messiah and killed. In reality, it was the death blow to Satan’s aspirations because, at the Cross, Jesus paid for humanity’s sin and opened the door for sinners to be legally restored to God by His substitutionary atonement. Death and sin no longer were the powerful tools Satan could use to manipulate men through fear. “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” - 1 Corinth 15:55-58 Jesus came out of the tomb victorious, and He ascended to Heaven to sit at the right hand of God until the Father tells Him it is time to return and claim His bride ( the Church ) at the Rapture. Until that moment comes, the Church was to grow and grow and reach the corners of the globe with the Gospel. Israel was temporarily placed on the sidelines to wait until her King would return to set up the glorious thousand-year kingdom with Christ on David’s throne in Jerusalem. And the world? Well, it was to heave to and fro with the winds of change, kingdom after kingdom, tyrant after tyrant, growing worse and worse morally, but smarter and smarter technologically …. Until one day, communication barriers would be overcome and Babel would become a reality once again! THE FOUR BEASTS The prophet Daniel was given a vision of four beasts that would rule over His people Israel from His time in Babylon until the Messiah would come to set up His earthly millennial kingdom. The Beasts were Babylon (in Daniel’s Day), the Medo/Persian empire followed second, Alexander’s Greece was third, and the Roman Empire was fourth. That is where history was when Israel was destroyed and scattered throughout the world in 70 AD. The next two millennia saw a long succession of earthly kingdoms coming and going as well as the age of the Church being built and the scientific community making huge technological gains advancing us to our current world today. But the final pieces of the puzzle were not yet all in place! Then … In 1948 Israel was reborn as a nation. This was right on the heels of the post-World War Two founding of the UN. The European Coal and Steel Community established a treaty in 1952 to help bring about a Western European Union alliance helping birth a modern Roman Empire in its infancy. Out of that, the current EU (European Union) came together and in 1999 they adopted a common currency, the Euro. On a larger scale, we have seen many globalist groups established since 1948. Groups such as the WEF (World Economic Forum) and the WHO (World Health Organization) along with the IMF (International Monetary Fund) and World Bank and many others. So just as Israel is back, the revival of the fourth beast (Rome) has emerged and from that region of Europe will come the man who will lead a rising global government divided into 10 regional spheres. The 10 regional governors will pledge their allegiance to this global dictator and make him king of the world just as Satan has long hoped would happen. “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.” -Rev 17:12-13 THE FINISH The Judeo Christian world view that has freed billions of people from tyranny and truly helped establish human rights throughout the planet as it spread westward these last 2000 years, (because it recognizes we all have value that comes from being created in God’s image) and is now under intense attack from the globalist promoters because they want all rights to come from government and not from God. The nation states that God established when He destroyed Babel and scattered the people throughout the world, (particularly the leader of those nations which is the sovereign United States Of America ) are under attack because strong nationalism is a deterrent to a global takeover by the elites who want a one-world government just as nimrod wanted at Babel. This is the only time in history where the leaders of individual nations are purposely destroying their own borders, their own economies, their own ability to defend themselves, and their own histories in order to weaken the nations they represent. They foresee positions being granted to them in a higher government of global control and are willing to betray their constituency to secure positions among the global elites. So now the stage is being set and we have come full circle. If the globalist planners get their way, they get to establish a new Tower of Babel with themselves at the top of world rule! Their priorities are to destroy the Judeo-Christian worldview so they can dictate what rights and privileges the masses will be granted. Social credit scores will replace the Ten Commandments. Faulty scientists who adhere to the theory of evolution and the destructive climate change cult will be honored as the guides of humanity while faith in the Creator God will be seen as a weakness and a crutch for the mentally unstable. National heroes and those generations of people before us who bore the struggles of being nation builders, carving their niche in history through trial and error and through triumph and failure to better their countries and advance civilization through their hard work, their wars, and their ingenuity …..will all be discarded as failures for not living up to the new moral high ground these globalists claim to aspire to. So we see History being trashed and rewritten. We see borders being destroyed and national identities blurred. We see economies bankrupted and morality redefined. We see belief in the Judeo-Christian God being ridiculed and faith in science and man-made gods of Artificial Intelligence being heralded. We see God’s created order of man and woman being replaced with the theory that humans can self-identify as anything they choose. Up is down and down is up …And it’s being purposely engineered this way for a reason. This final Beast will incorporate all of Satan’s past strategies to rule the world in one last gasp: -corrupt humanity with utter sinfulness as He did before the flood making men’s minds depraved and desiring to cast off all remembrance of God and His ways (Ps 2). Perhaps we will even see the blasphemous merging of man and computer and the altering of DNA again as Satan attempted to do with fallen angels and human women before the flood. -Destroy nations and build a global empire with one Satanic ruler at the top as He did at the Tower of Babel. -Destroy Israel as He attempted with Pharaoh and Haman (and more recently Hitler) so there is no Throne of David for Messiah to return to thus making God a liar for not fulfilling His promises to Israel. -Prevent God’s Messiah from coming as Herod tried to do by wiping out His Chosen Nation Israel and having the armies of the world waiting at Megiddo to Fight Jesus at His return. -Confuse Israel’s judgment and lead them astray as He did with their Old Testament kings by luring them into a false covenant that will be their demise rather than safety. Putting faith in men and not God. They will trust their false messiah because they rejected their true one! All these efforts are destroying everything that we have known and are restructuring a whole new world that will ultimately worship Satan. The Old World will be torn to pieces and completely demolished while the new order is established and set in place. The only element of the world we have known that will not be overcome is the Church because Jesus promised the gates of Hell could never stand against the New Testament Saints. This is why the rapture “Must” happen before the Antichrist is revealed. Revelation often refers to Babel as the model for the final system both politically and spiritually. Chapter 17 shows the Great religious harlot that Babel has influenced known as “Mystery Babylon The Great: The Mother Of Harlots!” Chapter 18 shows the mammon system of commerce and worldly political system known as “Babylon the Great”! The final Beast System of Antichrist is a final version of the original Babel. The first Babel introduced all the false religious systems of the Post-flood world and also initiated the first great attempt to politically control the whole world in one united government headed by Nimrod. When the final system is called Babel it is because that system is Satan’s home base for a global government. Not so much geographically but the spiritual design for ruling a world order. So…. When God destroyed Babel, He created the nations. In order to re-establish Babel, Satan is leading the destruction of the nations. And He is leaving nothing to chance. The destruction is going to be complete…and irreversible. CONCLUSION All the mechanisms are in place for the rule of all aspects of human life by a global government. The Sustainable Development Goals are nation killers. The Environmental Social Governance policies are economic killers. The World Health Guidelines are national sovereignty negators. The migration policies are border destroyers. The LGBTQ and Pro-choice policies are population eliminators. We may possibly even be witnessing weather Manipulation that is destroying all infrastructure of the human population centers through unbearable storm-related catastrophes. And certainly, the shifting away from the Judeo-Christian worldview of the West is causing all manner of devils to enter the public consciousness and turn hearts to darkness and minds to pure depravity. What we are witnessing is certainly the rise of the final beast! How do we know for certain? Because God almighty told us that when it would rise, it would crush everything to pieces that came before it into a mere residue and there could be no turning back. “After this I saw* in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. I considered* the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.” -Daniel 7:7-8 Satan wants to be king of the world. He wants to be worshipped by all humanity. He wants a position that has only been reserved for Jesus Christ but He still wants to claim it for himself. And for a short time, he will get his way in destroying everything that came before and will be the head of a world order, unlike anything we have ever seen before or will ever see again. It is now happening! The Beast system is arriving right now and our world and all we have known is being completely destroyed all around us just as God said it would. But when we see all these things come to pass we are to look up … because the Rapture of the Church is right at the the door! Here, we look at what this vision means. Daniel is worried about the fourth beast because it’s horrifying. It has iron teeth, bronze claws, and it “crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left” (Dan 7:19). He’s curious “about the ten horns on its head and about the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell—the horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully” (Dan 7:20). Daniel looks again at this image, as if the angel had paused it on a screen, and at the same time the action on the second screen replays the scene from Daniel 7:11—perhaps in slow motion. Daniel sees the “little horn” waging war against the people of the Most High and winning—until the Ancient of Days raps His gavel and puts a stop to it all. Then, God’s people possessed the kingdom (Dan 7:21-22). What does it all mean? The angel answers in two parts: (a) the rise of the “little horn” from among the ten (Dan 7:23-25), and then (b) the little horn’s demise (Dan 7:26-27). The rise of the “little horn” (Daniel 7:23-25) The angel explains: 23He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. 24The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. 25He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time (Daniel 7:23-25). The beast represents a mighty kingdom of darkness. It’s identical to the fourth kingdom from Daniel 2, which the angel described as strong as iron—“and as iron breaks things to pieces, so it will crush and break all the others” (Dan 2:40). This does not mean there are only four kingdoms that matter in human history. Instead, it suggests there are four kingdoms that will have a particular impact on the people of Israel. God could have discussed a particular Chinese dynasty, but it would have meant nothing to Daniel. In context, this is a message of hope to the people of Israel as they’re in exile in a foreign land. China would have meant nothing to them. This indicates our interpretive options are limited to a nation which has relevance to the people of Israel. This fourth kingdom has three phases, each separated by large periods of time but having traceable connections.1 Evil Kingdom Phase 1. The historical Roman Empire. It is “different” from all the other kingdoms because of the extent and ferocity of its realm (“devour … trample … crush,” Dan 7:23). Evil Kingdom Phase 2. This is the age between (a) Jesus and the apostles, and (b) the last days. This makes sense because the ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom (Dan 7:24). They are future developments after the Evil Kingdom Phase 1 leaves the stage.2 Many bible interpreters lose their audience trying to identify the ten kingdoms. The angel doesn’t tell us what they are, so we should drop the attempt. It is idle speculation that accomplishes nothing—no matter how ingenious it may be. We can say these ten kings (or kingdoms—the kings in Daniel’s visions are always synonymous with their realms) are a second phase of the historical Roman Empire because one could trace their origins back to it. This line need not be direct. For example, (a) South Korea’s existence derives from Japan’s defeat in the second world war, (b) the present-day Federal Republic of Germany comes from Otto Von Bismark’s unification of 39 independent nation states into the German Confederation in the late 19th century, and (c) the United States derives from the British Empire. Neither example is a straight line from past to present, but each nation only exists today because of its historical ancestor—the same way a Tesla derives from a Model T Ford. The “10 horns” of Evil Kingdom Phase 2 may be like that—which means they could be any nation in the Western world. The number ten may also be symbolic, which would obviously complicate quests to identify them. Evil Kingdom Phase 3. This is the time of the antichrist and the last days. We know this because “after them [that is, after the period of the 10 kings] another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings” (Dan 7:24). This mysterious “little horn” is the antichrist, who John later reminds us is on the way (1 Jn 2:18). The angel tells Daniel the little horn will “put down” (RSV) three of the ten nations and arise from somewhere among them (“came up from among them,” Dan 7:8).3 He’s different from the others because (Dan 7:25):
God gives His people over to this evil figure’s power for a set period (“3.5 times”) that the angel doesn’t define here but is probably three-and one-half years (cp. Dan 12:5-7, 11).8 The significance here is not the length of the evil king’s reign, but its sudden crash after a rapid acceleration.9 It speeds up quickly (“a time, times …”), and then hits a wall and crashes with no warning (“half a time”). The little horn’s fall (Daniel 7:26-27) Why does antichrist’s kingdom crash and burn so suddenly? Because, the angel explains, “the court will sit, and [antichrist’s] power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever” (Dan 7:26). This is an elaboration on Daniel 7:14. We know the evil empire’s fall will be sudden and violent—remember the stone that smashes the statue from Daniel 2? The apostle John tells of an angel picking up a huge boulder and throwing it into the sea: “With such violence the great city of Babylon will be thrown down, never to be found again” (Rev 18:21). This is when God avenges the blood of His servants, and the heavenly chorus sings: “Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever” (Rev 19:2-3). Daniel’s vision is the divine courtroom where the Ancient of Days declares: “Enough is enough!” John’s apocalypse tells us that, as antichrist’s evil kingdom smolders in ruins, Jesus the King returns to this sphere with the armies of heaven to do battle with His sinister counterpart. “He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God” (Rev 19:13). This is the blood of God’s enemies, tramped and splattered like so many grapes in a vat. The prophet Isaiah explained: “I trampled the nations in my anger; in my wrath I made them drunk and poured their blood on the ground” (Isa 63:6). John warns that Christ “treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty” (Rev 19:15). Then, the angelic guide tells Daniel, “His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him” (Dan 7:27). What does all this mean? Daniel’s vision tells us six things:
To Daniel and the exiles then, God’s message was: “The kingdoms of this world will surely fall, and I’ll judge them, and I’ll make everything right.” To churches great and small today, God makes the same promises—even as we’re now several episodes further along in His story. This may well be the case. Daily Devotion: Stupidocrisy: Ignoring the warnings - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com In recent weeks, there have been a lot of conspiracy theories abounding across social media and among friends. We have heard that because there are lithium deposits, the government created the Helene hurricane damage so it can seize the land for a proposed mining operation. Also, there is a theory that the Biden-Harris Administration caused the hurricane to go through key Republican areas of middle America so as to influence the election. The fact is, people will believe what they want to believe and it is more difficult to convince someone of the truth than a lie that they want to believe is true. But hear this: God is in control of the weather and is it not feasible that these disasters are clear warnings? While it’s not proven that government can create hurricanes and direct their paths with secret weather machines and cloud seeding, it is proven that political parties will go to great lengths to keep or attain power. Put aside for a moment the theory of government weather control and look at the aftermath. The presidential election is less than a month away. Areas hit the hardest hold a lot of Republican votes. What is in control of the party in power is the response to recovery. In many cases, people have given up having the government assist in recovery. They are doing it themselves. Will they be able to vote? Not if the infrastructure is so impaired that people cannot get to the polls. The Biden-Harris Federal Emergency Management Administration—FEMA–has a lot of power in determining the pace of recovery. There have been various accounts of how the government, along with billionaire investors and World Economic Forum members like Blackrock, directed the path of Helene through North Carolina so they could take control of the lithium deposits. This theory was so widespread that even the mainstream news media picked up on it. But pump the brakes just a second. It may be true that these corporations, investors and perhaps even the government want to get their greedy hands on the lithium deposits against property owners’ will. However, if the government wanted that land it doesn’t have to create a natural disaster to seize it. There are hundreds of thousands of private property owners who can attest to the government’s power of eminent domain. So let me get to the point. Under Biden-Harris, the US has sent billions of your tax dollars to terrorist entities like Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, Palestinian Authority and more—BILLIONS. They can call it humanitarian aid or whatever—it goes to the terrorists. When these current storms hit, Biden-Harris was trying to bribe Israel to a ceasefire by offering diplomatic protection and weapons. Additionally, Biden-Harris was trying to negotiate a two-state solution with Israel’s enemies. America is inextricably tied to Israel. It is written of Israel in Genesis 12:3, “I will bless them that bless you and curse him that curses you.” How many times has God sent natural, political or financial disasters as warnings? That’s a sobering thought, isn’t it? Of course, when I say “good” people, I mean people who trusted in their own human efforts, people who trusted in their own personal reality, people who trusted in the religious things they did. Jesus warned, “On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name’” (Matthew 7:22 NLT). If we updated the passage, the people might say, “Lord! Lord! We were baptized in Your name. We received communion in Your name.” But Jesus’ reply is the same: “I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws” (verse 23 NLT). These are good people. They paid their taxes. They recycled and put the right trash in the right can and did their best not to damage the environment. They volunteered at soup kitchens and donated to food drives. They did everything right. But they’re still not good enough. No one is. No amount of good deeds can erase our guilt before God. If they could, we would have something to boast about. Our salvation would be a do-it-yourself project. We could stand back and admire our spiritual handiwork. Eternal life would be something we earned. Eternal life is possible only because of God’s mercy and grace. He sent His Son to die in our place—not because we’re good people, but because He loves us, even though we’re helpless sinners. We are saved through faith in Christ, not through good works. That’s not to say that good works play no role in a Christian’s life. True, they’re useless in our salvation. Isaiah 64:6 says, “When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags” (NLT). After we’re saved through grace, however, our good deeds are purified by Jesus. They become evidence of His work in our lives. Good works show others that our faith is alive. James wrote, “So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. Now, someone may argue, ‘Some people have faith; others have good deeds.’ But I say, ‘How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds’” (James 2:17–18 NLT).
