The situation in the Middle East has started to spiral completely out of control, and it appears that just about everyone is bracing for a major escalation. The Chinese are telling their citizens to leave Israel, the Biden administration is sending more troops to the region, and the Israeli government has suddenly decided that now is the time to declare a "special situation on the home front" which grants the IDF extensive authority to issue orders to the general public. Obviously all three have become convinced that something really big is coming. What do they know that the rest of us do not? In recent days, many countries have instructed their citizens to leave Lebanon, but I was quite stunned to learn that the Chinese have also told their citizens to evacuate from Israel... China's embassy in Israel has asked its citizens to leave the country and return to China in a Sunday night statement. The embassy added that Chinese citizens should not travel to Israel for the time being. I think that this is actually a prudent move. When all-out war erupts, there won't be anywhere in the entire region that is truly safe. As I have discussed previously, U.S. citizens have already been instructed to leave Lebanon, and now more U.S. troops are being deployed to the region... The U.S. is sending troops to the Middle East in response to the surge in violence between Israel and Hezbollah and as the region teeters on the edge of an all-out war. The Pentagon announced on Monday that 'additional' service members would be deployed to join the 40,000 already stationed in the region along with a dozen warships and fighter jet squadrons. Most Americans don't realize this yet, but when all-out war erupts in the Middle East the U.S. will be involved. In Israel, a "special situation on the home front" has been officially declared for the entire country... On Monday evening, the government approved the declaration of a "special situation on the home front" throughout Israel, following the most intense day of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah since October. The declaration of the "special situation" significantly expands the IDF's powers to issue instructions to the Israeli public, allowing it to ban gatherings, limit studies, and issue "additional instructions required to save lives." This is a really big deal. Just imagine what it would be like if the president of the United States gave the U.S. military special authority over cities throughout the United States. This is quite a dramatic move, and so Israeli officials must believe that all-out war is imminent. Of course at this point it is difficult to see how an all-out war can be avoided. On Monday, we witnessed "the deadliest day of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah since 2006"... Missiles slammed into southern Lebanon, shattering the early-morning silence Monday and reportedly killing more than 490 people as Israel said it was targeting Hezbollah weapons hidden in residential buildings. The explosions came as Israel heralded a new wave of attacks on the Iran-backed group in Lebanon, warning civilians to flee from any buildings or areas where the organization had weapons or fighters positioned. Lebanon's health ministry said the strikes killed 492 people, including 35 children and 58 women, and wounded 1,645 people, The Associated Press reported. Monday marked the deadliest day of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah since 2006. The death toll also surpassed the deaths from the 2020 explosion at the Port of Beirut that killed nearly 200 people, injured thousands and devastated entire neighborhoods in the Lebanese capital. We are so close to the unthinkable, and Israel has some decisions to make. At this point, experts are telling us that Israel has three main options... There are three options for Israeli planners to consider: air strikes; a massive, Gaza-style invasion; and a "limited" incursion to set up a "buffer zone". The first is, of course, the safest. Mr Gallant, the defence minister - no dove, even by Israeli standards - is said to have argued for this option. It does not commit troops on the ground, avoids the risk of a quagmire, and would not require committing ground forces while the main effort in Gaza (and, increasingly, the West Bank) is still under way. I would disagree with that assessment. A "limited" incursion simply is not possible. Hezbollah has stated that it will be all-out war the moment that the IDF crosses into southern Lebanon, and I believe that they are deadly serious about that. When all-out war erupts, Israel won't just be fighting Hezbollah. In such a scenario, Israel will be fighting Hezbollah's entire alliance... Israel would also have to contend with Hezbollah's strategic depth. The group is part of an Iran-led axis of militants spanning Yemen, Syria, Gaza and Iraq. Some of these groups have increased coordination significantly since October, when Israel launched a war in Gaza after Hamas-led militants attacked the country. This axis is known in Israel as the "ring of fire." For nearly a year, Hezbollah's partners in the region have been engaged in a simmering conflict with Israel and its allies. Yemen's Houthis have sporadically fired at vessels in the Red Sea, an artery of global trade, as well as on Israel. Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of hardline Shia factions, has also launched attacks on US positions in that country. The axis has conditioned the cessation of those hostilities on a ceasefire in Gaza, rebranding themselves as a "supportive front" for Palestinians in Gaza, as described by a senior Hezbollah leader. Israel possesses far superior weaponry, but the combined forces of the Iranian-led "axis of resistance" would vastly outnumber Israeli forces. A former Major General in the IDF has told the Jerusalem Post that an all-out war with the entire alliance could have disastrous consequences for Israel... Itzhak Brik, a former Major General in the IDF, told the Jerusalem Post that a full-scale war with Iran and its proxies could ultimately result in the destruction of the state of Israel. 'Iran and its proxies have 250,000 missiles, rockets, and drones encircling Israel, which means about 4,000 munitions hitting the Israeli home front on a daily basis. 'Population centres, Haifa Bay, water and electricity facilities, gas fields [in the Mediterranean Sea], IDF bases, and strategic civilian infrastructure... A regional war can ruin the State of Israel,' he concluded. Of course the truth is that Benjamin Netanyahu would never allow things to get that far. If push comes to shove, he will not hesitate to use ultra-powerful weapons that the other side does not possess. So let us hope that one side or the other backs down before we reach a point of no return. We are also rapidly reaching a point of no return in Ukraine. The Ukrainians want to use long-range missiles provided by NATO to strike targets all over Russia, and many NATO officials are very much in support of this dangerous proposal... "Every nation that is attacked has the right to defend itself," said Admiral Rob Bauer, speaking at the close of the NATO committee's annual meeting. "And that right doesn't stop at the border of your own nation." I wonder if the shoe were on the other foot and Russia was sending long-range missiles to Mexico with instructions and training on how to use them against American cities if the esteemed admiral would say Mexico had a "right" to fire those Russian missiles northward. The consequences of these comments are absolutely stunning, and yet they are made with the flippancy of a Cub Scout leader deciding which is the best way to sharpen a pocket knife. This is a "red line" that we must not cross. The Russians have warned us over and over again that we are on a path that leads to nuclear war, and just the other day a Russian television channel broadcast a video that imagined what a nuclear strike on London would look like... A devastating nuclear strike on London causing 850,000 deaths with two million injured has been simulated by a staunchly pro-Putin propaganda TV channel. Broadcasting the four minute video with an English commentary appears to be the latest move in a concerted campaign to scare Britain from giving permission to Ukraine to allow Storm Shadow missiles to hit targets inside Russia. Vladimir Putin's propagandists and entourage have repeatedly warned that he could use nuclear weapons. Many people are convinced that western leaders have everything under control and that they know exactly what they are doing. Those people would be wrong. I have been warning about the war in Ukraine and the war in the Middle East for years, and many others have been issuing similar warnings. But our leaders don't listen to people like us. They think that they have everything figured out, but the truth is that their arrogance shall be their undoing. Of course they will not be the only ones to suffer. Unfortunately, all of us will have to deal with the consequences as thousands of missiles fly back and forth all over the planet. The UN adopted the “Pact for the Future” on September 22nd, and the mainstream media in the western world almost entirely ignored what was happening. Instead, the headlines urged us to just keep focusing on Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. Sadly, the vast majority of the population has never ever heard about the “Pact for the Future”, and so there was very little public debate about whether or not we should be adopting a document which lays the foundation for a new “global order”. The text of the “Pact for the Future” is available online, but hardly anyone will ever read it and many of the most important provisions are buried toward the end of the 56 page document. Of course everyone should take the time to actually read this document, because our leaders just committed us to an extremely insidious global agenda that literally covers just about every conceivable area of human activity. September 22nd, 2024 is a day that will go down in infamy. Once the “Pact for the Future” was formally adopted, the following was posted on the official UN website… World leaders today adopted a Pact for the Future that includes a Global Digital Compact and a Declaration on Future Generations. This Pact is the culmination of an inclusive, years-long process to adapt international cooperation to the realities of today and the challenges of tomorrow. The most wide-ranging international agreement in many years, covering entirely new areas as well as issues on which agreement has not been possible in decades, the Pact aims above all to ensure that international institutions can deliver in the face of a world that has changed dramatically since they were created. As the Secretary-General has said, “we cannot create a future fit for our grandchildren with a system built by our grandparents.” You would think that the “most wide-ranging international agreement in many years” would make headlines all over the planet. But that didn’t happen. The UN press release also boldly declares that the “Pact for the Future” will “lay the foundations” for a new “global order”… “The Pact for the Future, the Global Digital Compact, and the Declaration on Future Generations open the door to new opportunities and untapped possibilities,” said the Secretary-General during his remarks at the opening of the Summit of the Future. The President of the General Assembly noted that the Pact would “lay the foundations for a sustainable, just, and peaceful global order – for all peoples and nations.” The Pact covers a broad range of issues including peace and security, sustainable development, climate change, digital cooperation, human rights, gender, youth and future generations, and the transformation of global governance. I don’t want to live in a new “global order” that includes “all peoples and all nations”. I am sure that most of you feel the exact same way. Another page on the official UN website tells us that “UN 2.0” is all about creating a “modern UN family”… Halfway through the 2030 Agenda, the world is not on track to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. It is not too late to change course, if we all rethink, refocus, and recharge. “UN 2.0” encapsulates the Secretary-General’s vision of a modern UN family, rejuvenated by a forward-thinking culture and empowered by cutting-edge skills for the twenty-first century – to turbocharge our support to people and planet. We will strive towards this vision with a powerful fusion of innovation, data, digital, foresight and behavioral science skills and culture – a dynamic combination that we call the “Quintet of Change”. It is about evolution towards more agile, diverse, responsive, and impactful UN organizations. That sounds so cozy, doesn’t it? Who wouldn’t want to be a part of a “family”, right? But the truth is that the agenda that they intend to impose on all of us will not be pleasant at all. Over the years, much has been written about how insidious the UN’s “Sustainable Development Goals” are. Well, the UN is openly admitting that the “Pact for the Future” was specifically designed “to turbo-charge implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals”…
In one way or another, all forms of human activity contribute to “climate change”. And so they intend to strictly regulate all forms of human activity in order to meet their twisted goals. The “Pact for the Future” also recognizes a “central role” for the UN and a “coordinated and multidimensional international response” whenever future “global shocks” arise… We recognize the need for a more coherent, cooperative, coordinated and multidimensional international response to complex global shocks and the central role of the United Nations in this regard. Complex global shocks are events that have severely disruptive and adverse consequences for a significant proportion of countries and the global population, and that lead to impacts across multiple sectors, requiring a multidimensional and whole-of-government, whole-of-society response. The next time that there is a major global crisis, do you want the UN running the show and telling everyone what to do? I tried to warn everyone about this. I have written extensively about the “Pact for the Future”, but in the end only a very small sliver of the population got fired up about it. Here we are in 2024 and the world is doing that even more enthusiastically. Not believers. We’re anticipating the return of Jesus. But the secular and pagan world is cheering for the arrival of the “man of lawlessness” (2 Thess. 2). Book Ends of Blasphemy and Debauchery The Olympics featured book ends of mockery. Their opening and closing ceremonies took inclusion and DEI to new levels. There was a prayer to Zeus. A golden calf was featured. Fallen angels were celebrated. Drag queens mocked the Last Supper. Demons seemed to be center stage. Jesus was mocked and portrayed by a lesbian. Scene after scene reflected blasphemy and debauchery—with a small child observing it all. We are in an all-out war. A spiritual war. Christians are fair game. Islam, Mohammed, and the Koran are not. But even nonChristians could not help but comment on the fact that rituals and ceremonies were suspiciously dark and even Satanic. It wasn’t subtle. It was blatant— in your face. Are You Seeing the Pattern? No, it was nothing new. We saw it at just some of the following:
World Leaders: A Bridge Too Far World leaders often mock anything to do with God but as it concerns the activity in Paris this summer, many were in unity, denouncing these godless, pagan actions. You didn’t have to be a rightwing fundamentalist, or conspiracy theorist, to say they should have pulled the plug on whoever was the creative artist. Satan wants to be glorified, and he wants to always remind the world that his kingdom is waiting in the wings. And he’s got legions of clueless, blind people who are willing co-conspirators. They may be laughing now, but one day, they will be wailing and pleading for mercy. It will be too late. Channeling Ancient Babylon Darkness is loved, while light is being ardently and actively hated. It isn’t enough for people to just revel in the darkness, they want to showcase it on the world’s stage and celebrate it. Surely, ancient Babylon operated in like manner. John 3:19-20 says, “And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.” Satan’s Short-Lived Kingdom This is not all bad news. It means that Satan is trying to rush his kingdom with good press releases. Here’s the good news: His kingdom is a laughing stock compared to what God has planned for those who love and serve Him in the days and years ahead. “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him” (I Corinthians 2:9). God’s kingdom is out of this world. No words can describe it. Things are wrapping up. They’re falling into place. Be encouraged. However this time he has made it pretty clear what he believes about the exclusivity of the Gospel and now has many Catholics questioning how this man can be Pope while contradicting the core tenets of the faith. During a three-day visit to Singapore and while attending an interreligious meeting with young people at a Catholic junior college, Pope Francis departed from his prepared remarks and declared to the gathering that "every religion is a way to arrive at God." He continued, "Sort of a comparison, an example, would be they're sort of like different languages in order to arrive at God." The leader of the world's 1.4 billion Catholics continued along this universalist tack: "But God is God for all. And if God is God for all, we are all sons and daughters of God." He lamented that some argue, "But my God is more important than your God!" and asked, "Is that true?" Answering his own question to the young people, the pontiff finished, There is only one God and each of us has a language, so to speak, in order to arrive at God. Sikh, Muslim, Hindu, Christian. There are different paths. Understand? And the leaders on stage, representing various religions, happily shook their heads in agreement. Reacting to the pontiff's comments, Bishop Joseph Strickland, who oversaw the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tyler, Texas, until his dismissal by the Vatican last year, said in a post on X, "Please pray for Pope Francis to clearly state that Jesus Christ is the only Way. To deny this is to deny Him. If we deny Christ, He will deny us, He cannot deny Himself." Strickland was ousted for disagreeing with Francis on the issue of banning pro-abortion Catholic politicians from receiving communion and over the degree to which outreach to the LGBT community is acceptable in the Catholic Church. A petition created in defense of Strickland last year said he was ousted because he "publicly corrected several heterodox statements from Pope Francis." Jesus didn't say, "Go out and point people toward any random religion or philosophy," nor did he offer any prompt that affirms "all religions are paths to God." The pope's claims simply do not stand up to the Bible's historical and theological narrative -- and even an atheist understands this reality. The proclamation is a head-turning, show-stopping moment considering it slipped from the lips of the man who heads the world's largest Christian denomination. Critics were quick to appropriately react in sheer horror, frustration and with corrective rebuke. If Francis is correct, then Jesus was wrong when He stated, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6). The false doctrine which Francis proclaimed has been around for centuries. But Jesus did not die on the cross to merely provide "one more way" of getting to God. He died for our sins because it was the only way we could be reconciled to our Father in Heaven. "God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them" (2 Corinthians 5:19). It is only through Christ that anyone can be reconciled to the Father. There simply is no other way, period. You see, "If righteousness could be gained through the Law, Christ died for nothing" (Galatians 2:21). In other words, if a person could get to God without Christ, the Father would never have sent His only Son to suffer the agony of crucifixion for our salvation. The world wants Christians to embrace the false gospel that Pope Francis unashamedly presented as truth. The world is unable to comprehend the true Gospel. And without the working of the Holy Spirit, you and I could never understand and believe the Gospel. Pray for Pope Francis to repent of his false teaching and come to know the true Gospel. This is no minor doctrine but is a foundational issue for every professing believer and every professing church body. Francis previously faced criticism and accusations of heresy on social media back in May for claiming the human heart is "fundamentally good" during a "60 Minutes" interview. When asked by interviewer Norah O'Donnell what gives him hope about the world, the pope responded with "everything," citing acts of goodness by people as proof of humanity's inherent goodness. "You see tragedies, but you also see so many beautiful things," he said. "You see heroic mothers, heroic men, men who have hopes and dreams, women who look to the future. That gives me a lot of hope. People want to live. People forge ahead. And people are fundamentally good. We are all fundamentally good. Yes, there are some rogues and sinners, but the heart itself is good." At the time, many commenters on X criticized Francis for his remarks, with some accusing him of failing to grasp the basic teaching of the Gospel. Others quoted portions of Scripture that teach God alone is good and that humanity has a sinful nature. Some X users noted that Francis' comment appeared to be an example of Pelagianism, a fifth century heresy that denied original sin and taught the essential goodness of humanity. Daily Jot: The real threat - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com Former President Donald Trump has survived two assassination attempts. Each time opponents have condemned the acts and said that the political temperature must be dialed down. Yet, they heat it up with the same divisive rhetoric. Joe Biden told the nation after the first attempt, “Our politics must never be a literal battlefield, and God forbid, a killing field…We stand for an America not of extremism and fury, but of decency and grace.” Kamala Harris said after the second attempt, “As we gather the facts, I will be clear: I condemn political violence. We all must do our part to ensure that this incident does not lead to more violence. I am thankful that former President Trump is safe.” But who is dog whistling more violence? On many occasions since Biden and Harris took office, they have used political rhetoric that encourages the type of third world violence we have witnessed against Trump. A main Democratic Party campaign theme has been that Trump is a threat to Democracy, wants to be a dictator, compares with Hitler, and that he and his supporters are extremists. Just days before the first assassination attempt on Trump, Biden said it was time to put Trump in a bullseye. In fact, Democratic Party campaign tweets said “Trump Parrots Hitler” and used Trump’s and Hitler’s faces juxtaposed with quotes from each. Never mind that Trump’s quotes were taken out of context. The mainstream news media has amplified the rhetoric repeatedly. Hollywood leftists are quoted ad nauseum parroting the Hitler theme. Democratic elected officials are quoted repeatedly saying that Trump supporters are extremists and that Trump is a threat to Democracy. The theme has been constant. And when called out on it, Democratic Party propaganda shills like the Washington Post, blame it on Trump, implying that his rhetoric is what has caused all the violence. In a September 18 article, the Washington Post wrote: “Trump is blaming his Democratic opponents, declaring this week, as Sunday’s incident is still under investigation that “their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at”…there is no evidence that Vice President Kamala Harris or President Joe Biden specifically inspired the attack.” The Post then wrote how Trump has “often used incendiary language to describe his rivals.” There is one thing that is true—Trump is a threat to the Democratic Party’s form of “democracy.” It is a dangerous path to totalitarianism. Just look at how the “democrats” selected their presidential candidate—they essentially fomented a coup against a sitting president and installed a replacement who received absolutely no primary votes. That is a strong indicator. Also, the history of assassinations in communist countries against opponents of those in charge is commonplace with the incumbents always denouncing political violence while claiming their opponents want to destroy “democracy.” The pattern is undeniable. And it is here in America today. As the Lord said in Matthew 24:4, “Take heed that no man deceive you.” What these politicians accuse others of doing, they themselves are doing. Who, therefore, is the real threat? Even atheists have something they believe in. That god may be themselves. It may be a possession. Or, it may be a career. But everyone has something they live for, something that gets them up in the morning, drives them on, and gives their lives a sense of meaning. The question is, who or what do you believe in? The Lord wants to rule and reign in our hearts. And He wants everything else in our lives to be a distant second to Him. He wants our primary passion, excitement, and purpose to be a love for Him. The apostle Paul said, “To me, living means living for Christ” (Philippians 1:21 NLT). That should be the motto of every Christian. It’s something that we all should be able to say. An idol is anything or anyone that takes the place of God in our lives. It’s anything that would begin to crowd our relationship with God and become more important to us than God Himself. Writing to the church in Corinth, Paul referred to a specific instance in the lives of the Israelites when they worshipped the golden calf. He wrote, “These things happened as a warning to us, so that we would not crave evil things as they did, or worship idols as some of them did” (1 Corinthians 10:6–7 NLT). The children of Israel had seen God work in dramatic ways. They saw God deliver them from the land of Egypt with a number of miracles that He performed on their behalf. He turned the Nile River into blood, sent plagues of lice and frogs, and even killed the Egyptians’ firstborn sons. Then, when they began their journey, God opened the Red Sea for them, and they crossed on dry ground. Afterward it closed behind them, drowning the Egyptian army in the process. In addition, the Lord provided a miraculous navigation system: a huge cloud guided them during the day, and a fire in the sky directed them at night. And every morning when they walked outside their tents, a breakfast of manna was waiting for them, supplied by the Creator Himself. But despite all these miracles, the people turned their backs on God and engaged in full-blown idolatry. The problem was their faith was shallow. Thus, they were fickle. And from the moment that Moses left their midst to meet with God on Mount Sinai, it was only a matter of time until they started looking for something to take his place. So, the plan for the golden calf was devised, and the Bible tells us about the horrible results.
