Among the many consequences of the fallacies of Replacement Theology and Dual Covenant Theology is they rob the beauty we can witness and the lessons we can learn from God’s relationship with His chosen people. Replacement Theology says that God replaced His chosen people with another group, the church. Dual Covenant theology says God has a different covenant through which He will save the Jews than He does for the salvation of the Gentiles. Both teachings are grievous errors in Biblical interpretation and thieves and robbers of wonderful truths. Jeremiah 31:35-37 KJV – “Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name: If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. Thus saith the Lord; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord.” Replacement Theology requires that God break an everlasting, unconditional covenant made with both Israel and the land He promised to them. Dual Covenant theology makes the Holy One of Israel a misnomer because they sat that Israel can be saved without the One whom the title represents, Jesus. The truth is that Israel has not been replaced by the church, and in order for any Jew to be saved they must come to the King of Jews for salvation just like any Gentile. Romans 11:25-27 KJV – “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.” If the church has replaced Israel, then why is Paul talking about God taking away their sins and all Israel being saved? If Dual Covenant theology is true, then Jews can be saved by keeping the law. So, why is Paul referring to a Deliverer out of Zion, which is an idiom for Jerusalem? The lessons we should be learning from Israel are that God keeps His word, and He disciplines those whom He loves. God never loses track of His people. Israel is God’s timepiece, and the last days center on Israel. God never meant for Israel to become religious, instead He desires a relationship with His people. God can protect His people through anything. On and on the list goes of lessons we can learn from God’s special relationship with His chosen people. Does “God saving all Israel” include unbelieving Jews who reject the Messiah? No. No one is saved because of their nationality, and anyone who is saved receives that salvation by the blood of the Lamb of God slain from the foundations of the world – Jesus. Zechariah 13:8-9 KJV – “And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. 9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.” Two-thirds of the Jews will die during the Tribulation and they will all die in unbelief. The Jews who come to faith in Yeshua, Jesus, will survive the Tribulation by means of divine protection, and in the end they will declare, “The Lord is my God!” Acts 2:36 KJV – “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.” The declaration that “the Lord is my God” is an acknowledgement that the surviving Jews of whom the Lord will say “This is My people” will finally see Jesus as whom they never before would accept Him to be – God with us. Zechariah 12:10 KJV – “And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.” It is at this moment, when Jesus returns to the Mount of Olives, that Israel, all Israel, will be saved and declare that Jesus is my Lord and my God. Replacement Theology and Dual Covenant theology are not just heresies, they are robbers and deniers of the faithfulness of God to those whom He has chosen. One of the biggest takeaways for us regarding God’s covenant relationship with Israel is this: Romans 8:38-39 KJV – “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Our God is faithful, and His relationship with Israel is proof of just how faithful He truly is! By sending these warships along the coast of Florida, the Russians are warning that they will use nuclear weapons if they are pushed too far, but hardly anyone seems to care. The mainstream media insists that these vessels are “no threat” and that there is no risk that a full-blown nuclear conflict will erupt any time soon. But while our experts are assuring us that everything will be just fine, the Russians are feverishly preparing for a worst case scenario. In recent days, a flotilla of four Russian war vessels has been practicing “the use of high precision weapons in the Atlantic ocean”… Russian warships are practicing the use of high precision weapons in the Atlantic ocean, Russia’s defense ministry said on Tuesday, putting the US on alert. Vladimir Putin’s most modern frigate Admiral Gorshkov, a hypersonic missile carrier, is accompanying nuclear submarine Kazan and two other naval vessels. The drills involve hitting targets from a distance of more than 370 miles, Russia’s defence ministry said in a statement, and follow an exercise in anti-aircraft fire. All four vessels are set to arrive in Havana on Wednesday and will pass 25 miles from the coast of the United States on their journey, according to reports. On their way to Havana, they were expected to get quite close to the coast of Florida, and that is precisely what happened on Tuesday… Three Russian Navy ships and a nuclear-powered submarine seem to be passing the Florida coast Tuesday, June 11, on the way to Cuba for a military exercise, according to open-source intelligence analysts on social media. A tweet on X, formerly known as Twitter, said that the US Coast Guard Cutter Stone may be shadowing the Russian flotilla off the east coast of Florida abeam of Cape Canaveral. On Wednesday, June 5, a U.S. official told the media that Russia planned to conduct naval exercises with combat vessels in the Caribbean region. The United States did not see the expected arrival of the flotilla to the Western Hemisphere to be threatening, but the official told Reuters the U.S. Navy will monitor the exercises. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity to provide details that had not been made public yet. The Kazan and the Admiral Gorshkov are both capable of carrying nuclear weapons, and they are both considered to be “key vessels in Putin’s nuclear strike force”… Despite this, both the Admiral Gorshkov and the Kazan are normally key vessels in Putin’s nuclear strike force. Russia has not stated what firepower is being carried by his flotilla. Of course the Russians do not intend to attack us at this time. And Cuban authorities are openly telling us that even though they are capable of doing so, “none of the vessels is carrying nuclear weapons”… Kazan and three other Russian naval vessels – missile frigate Admiral Gorshkov, fleet replenishment tanker Pashin and a salvage tug Nikolai Chiker – will dock in the Cuban capital from June 12 to 17, Cuba’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in two statements on Jun. 6, 2024. “None of the vessels is carrying nuclear weapons, so their stopover in our country does not represent a threat to the region,” it added. But everyone agrees that having these vessels travel so close to the coast of Florida was about sending us a message. We are being told that the Admiral Gorshkov is armed with highly advanced hypersonic missiles that have a range of over 1,000 kilometers… The Admiral Gorshkov is armed with new Zircon hypersonic missiles. The weapon has been designed to arm Russian cruisers, frigates and submarines and could be used against both enemy ships and ground targets. Russian President Vladimir Putin has touted Zircon as a potent weapon capable of penetrating any existing anti-missile defenses by flying nine times faster than the speed of sound at a range of more than 1,000 kilometers (over 620 miles). Even though the Admiral Gorshkov is not carrying nukes at the moment, Zircon hypersonic missiles are capable of delivering nuclear payloads. If Zircon hypersonic missiles are launched from a Russian warship positioned just off the east coast, they would start hitting targets inside the U.S. in just a matter of moments. And we would have no way to defend against that. CBS News is also telling us that the Russians are about to conduct a military exercise in the Caribbean that will involve “Russian long-range bombers flying along the U.S. East Coast”… The announcement came a day after U.S. officials said that Washington had been tracking Russian warships and aircraft that were expected to arrive in the Caribbean for a military exercise. They said the exercise would be part of a broader Russian response to the U.S. support for Ukraine. Those exercises will likely include Russian long-range bombers flying along the U.S. East Coast, according to CBS News national security correspondent David Martin. The Russians are clearly trying to get our attention. They are telling us that we are pushing things in Ukraine too far. Just this week, it was being reported that a Ukrainian warplane has hit targets inside Russian territory for the first time… A Ukrainian warplane has for the first time fired a weapon that struck a target inside Russia, a Ukrainian military source has told Sky News. The source said a “Russian command node” was hit on Sunday in the area of Belgorod, western Russia. Belgorod is close to the border with northeastern Ukraine. If the Ukrainians decide to get really bold and start hitting Moscow with long-range weapons provided by western powers, there is no telling what the Russians might do. I strongly recommend that we try to find a peaceful way out of this mess while we still can. Meanwhile, the head of US Indo-Pacific Command is warning that he intends to create a “hellscape” for the Chinese if they pull the trigger on an invasion of Taiwan… The US military is planning to create a “hellscape” of drones in the Taiwan Strait if China moves to attack Taiwan, the top US military commander in the region has told The Washington Post. Adm. Samuel Paparo, the head of US Indo-Pacific Command, told Post columnist Josh Rogin that the idea would be to send thousands of drones, unmanned submarines, and drone boats into the Strait to buy time for the US and Taiwan to prepare a defense of the island. “I want to turn the Taiwan Strait into an unmanned hellscape using a number of classified capabilities,” Paparo said. “So that I can make their lives utterly miserable for a month, which buys me the time for the rest of everything.” A decade ago, talk of a major war between the U.S. and China was considered to be nonsense. But now we are almost there. In the Middle East, exchanges of fire between the IDF and Hezbollah have “grown from daily to almost hourly”… The mountain villages and rolling valleys along Israel’s border with Lebanon already feel like a war zone. The booms of intercepted rockets and drones regularly shake the air. Plumes of smoke rise from hillside explosions as firefighters race to keep blazes from engulfing residential neighborhoods. The pace of Hezbollah and Israeli strikes has grown from daily to almost hourly, according to the civilians, local officials and soldiers who remain in the area. “Each week it’s becoming more frequent and more intense,” said Liron, the deputy commander of an army squad that was crowded into a shelter during an air raid alert Thursday. He spoke on the condition that he be identified by his first name because he was not authorized to talk to the media. It is just a matter of time before the Middle East erupts in flames. There are 60,000 Israelis that cannot return to their homes in northern Israel until the threat that Hezbollah poses is neutralized, and one recent survey discovered that the Israeli people are overwhelmingly in favor of a military campaign against Hezbollah… U.S. negotiators are trying to head off an escalation, but Israel is under growing domestic pressure to halt the Hezbollah launches and allow more than 60,000 displaced civilians to return to their homes after eight months of living in hotels and shelters around the country. A poll Friday by the Hebrew-language daily Maariv found that 62 percent of Israelis support the idea of a decisive attack on Hezbollah. There is just one problem. The moment that the IDF goes into southern Lebanon, it will mean all-out war with Hezbollah and thousands of highly advanced missiles will start raining down on Israeli cities. Israel could easily handle Hamas. Hezbollah is another matter entirely. The three wars that I have discussed in this article are the exact same three wars that I have been warning my readers about for years. War in the Middle East is here, war with Russia is here, and war with China is rapidly approaching. He has asserted that governments, the mainstream media and nonprofits, which are legion, are part of a “vast censorship network” that suppressed non-establishment perspectives on the flu bug hysteria and a wide range of other topics. We read about this “vast censorship network” in the Book of Romans. We were warned about that one period in history when the wrath of God would be revealed against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. The world is experiencing more severe judgments from God due to our lack of faith in conjunction with the suppression of the truth. The “vast censorship network” has seen to it that the increasing depravity of society remains hidden, or is presented in a positive light, as much as possible. When the LGBT becomes a powerful political force in a society, that is a severe judgment from God. When the Supreme Court upholds the insanity of ‘gay marriage,’ that is an even more severe judgment from God. When sexually mutilating naïve children becomes lucrative business, that is a terrible judgment from God. The purpose of Nevradakis’s article was to deal with deception that is being handed down to our public health agencies. These agencies have been corrupted by our governments, which, in turn, have been corrupted by the evil Globalists. The evil Globalists now exercise great control over our entertainment industry, our news media, our businesses, and every other aspect of our lives that allows us freedom, prosperity, and just basic survival. It is an incredible commentary on sinful humanity that so many would prefer to live on bread alone while disdaining every word that comes from the mouth of God. Journalist Lara Logan, who actually takes her journalistic profession seriously, told a panel of U.S. experts, “These are the worst of times for the media in this country…. We live in the age of information warfare, where propaganda is not simply a weapon; it is the entire field of battle…. This is a war for our minds.” And it has been exacerbated by advanced technology. The evil Globalists can now create a world where only their sick worldview is promoted and the truth is subverted. Although the advanced technology is impressive, those who are deceived by it are still willingly misled. One must choose to be misled when obvious propaganda so powerfully conflicts with reality. Our offenses are many in the sight of God, and our sins testify against us. Our culture has engaged in rebellion and treachery against the Lord. Our leaders, that we vote for, have fomented oppression and revolt while uttering lies their hearts have conceived. There is no question that justice has been driven back, that righteousness stands at a distance, that truth has stumbled in the streets, and honesty cannot enter. We are inundated with LGBT propaganda, transgender propaganda, social justice propaganda, climate crisis propaganda, and a host of other silly ideologies. These are the dominant ideologies that are loved by the world and that no one over twelve should be influenced by. And certainly, no Christian should ever be deceived by them. The truth of God is still being revealed, but it is being ignored because it comes from a source that, by worldly standards, is weak and powerless. Truth has fallen into disrepute and is no longer the mainstream. Unfortunately, sinful humanity is more awed by wealth and power than by the truth. The best example of this fact is the pope. The ‘holy father’ is so obviously a reprobate that it is beyond dispute. However, anyone who dares to point this out is meant with apathy or derision. After all, he is the ruler of all Christianity, and we are just malcontents nipping at his heels. According to Logan, “The media is collaborating with government agencies and operatives to censor and shape the information battlefield to justify certain actions.” She points out that when Biden and the (Godless) Democrats initiate policies, they do so through censorship and intimidation. They are not interested in winning the hearts and minds of the American people because they cannot do that through reason. They need intimidation. They attempt to stoke anger and hostility among their brain-dead voters in order to create a type of Stasi that will work to silence resistance to their public initiatives at the local level. Logan rightly accuses a network of nonprofit organizations of stifling free speech, which contributes to “information warfare.” Information warfare is nothing more than falsehood’s attempt to subvert the truth. She warns: “For too long, we have allowed nonprofit organizations to masquerade as watchdogs when, in fact, they are little more than highly paid political assassins whose entire reason for being is to crush anyone who stands in their way…” At this point, it should be a matter of common sense that any organization that claims to be a fact checker, claims to monitor disinformation and misinformation, or any other similar type of NGO is a paid liar for the evil Globalists. There is no excuse for being influenced by these people. The United States has a First Amendment that protects Christians and free speech. What the evil Globalists have discovered is that if they control all sources of information and degrade our culture, then they can render our First Amendment useless. Of course, this lesson has been learned by tyrants over the last six thousand years. In many of our churches, the goats joyfully give of their wages to a pastor who then preaches pure rubbish. In the same way, our own censorship is being paid for by taxpayers when our corrupt government passes omnibus spending bills. According to Logan, these spending bills contain cutouts for NGOs (nongovernmental organizations) to censor, silence, intimidate, and punish us. Logan calls these initiatives “a death sentence for journalists.” From the Christian perspective, this spending is a death sentence for the First Amendment. And, ultimately, a death sentence for people of faith. The apostle Peter once said, “Judgment begins in the house of God.” It is amazing how the silence in our churches is directly related to the increasing wickedness of our governments. The two go hand in hand. The article quotes Jason Christoff, a ‘self-sabotage’ coach who hosts “The Psychology of Freedom” podcast, as saying, “He who controls the environment in which a human resides controls the perceptions, beliefs, and behaviors of that human.” However, God has not yet provided the evil Globalists the kind of power that is necessary to snuff out all truth. There will always be those who will share God’s word so that all men are without excuse for being deceived. Even during the Tribulation, there will be 144,000 who will proclaim the word of God. Mr. Christoff interestingly points out, “Today’s censorship is weaponized to define and create an inverted and extremely dark reality inside which no human can ever be happy, healthy, or prosperous. So, the evil Globalists attacking human sexuality, our civil rights, our food supply, our medical profession, our entertainment industry, and our cultures is no accident. It is an effort to ensure that no human beings other than themselves and their minions are ever happy, healthy, or prosperous. According to Christoff, he does not know who is pulling the strings on all this, but it goes well above the government. I’m not sure why that is so hard to figure out. The culprits are telling us who they are every chance they get. According to Mattias Desmet, Ph.D., when he examined the response to the flu bug hysteria, he surmised: “We are witnessing… the emergence of a fully-fledged totalitarian system in our society.” And its effects on the population were akin to a “hypnotic state.” He further stated (my conclusions in parentheses), “You need two things for a totalitarian system. On the one hand, you need an elite (ex., The evil Globalists) that excessively and relentlessly uses propaganda to keep control over a population. And then you need a part of the population, 20-30% usually (those who we term politically as ‘liberals’), to go along with the propaganda and to buy fanatically into the narrative.” This really should not be a mystery since the evil Globalists have made it clear that they are the ones behind the misery that has been created. I will never understand why humanity will not simply take these people at their word. If a Muslim threatens to kill you if you do not accept his religion, your first thought should be, “Uh oh, that guy is going to kill me if I do not accept his religion.” If your first thought is, “Gee, I sure am a racist for being scared of that guy,” you are likely a liberal and a Godless Democrat. In other words, you are a deluded moron and deserve whatever that kook does to you. One of Satan’s most amazing tricks is to teach faithless humanity to fear the truth and cling desperately to falsehood. During the flu bug hysteria, we were taught to social distance, wear a mask, stay six feet apart, take a dangerous experimental vaccine, and remain in our homes. The majority of the entire world clung to these falsehoods. When people were told to take zinc, get fresh air and sunlight, exercise, ask your doctor about hydroxychloroquine, or rely on herd immunity, they were taught this was the dangerous approach to the virus. Those who used common sense and clung to real science were accused of “putting their communities at risk.” The Godless Democrats even went so far as to accuse them of being murderers if they did not submit to their ridiculous demands. All our ‘mainstream media’ were parroting the talking points of the pharmaceutical industry rather than telling us the truth. The American people, and the world, were sold snake oil rather than real cures for the virus. Dr. Desmit popularized the term “mass formation” to describe how easy it was to deceive the public into believing Big Pharma’s lies. C-19 was nothing more than a mass hysteria event. In Biblical terms, this was a prelude to the great delusion that God will send upon the world as punishment for its faithlessness. The secret power of lawlessness is hard at work. It is being displayed in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refuse to love the truth and so be saved. For those who want to rely on ‘science’ to save you, keep in mind that it is nearly impossible for real experts to publish data that goes against the national public health narrative. As is pointed out in the article, if doctors cannot publish the data, they cannot find solutions. The evil Globalists are the ones that will tell us what ‘science’ we are to believe, and it will not be based on rigorous research. The ‘science’ that they advocate for directly correlates with that which makes them even richer and more powerful. The information that is passing for science in this time of deception is nothing more than superstition. Any journalist who dares to tell the truth is in danger of having his life destroyed. Logan stated, “For almost a decade, I have been targeted and falsely branded and accused of many things I did not do.” The evil Globalists and their minions are experts at bearing false witness against their enemies in their malicious effort to destroy them. She stated that they have attacked her work, her character, her sanity, and her marriage. And she is not alone. The article concludes with Swiss lawyer Philipp Kruse’s warning of the World Health Organization’s (WHO’s) proposed “pandemic agreement.” This agreement, along with its various amendments, will increase censorship globally. WHO will be granted “the global supreme authority to define truth and science and to eliminate free speech and the free exchange of information under the title of ‘misinformation.'” It is amazing to me that there are still Christians who piddle around and claim that everything that we are seeing is nothing new. We are literally watching a totalitarian world government that was clearly predicted in Scripture form before our eyes, and they are failing to warn their congregations. What part of “Keep watch” do they not understand? All our shepherds know that the bridegroom is coming. Some of them brought extra oil for their lamps, but many have not. They have all become drowsy and fallen asleep. Fortunately, the midnight cry is about to ring out, and all will awaken from their slumber. Those shepherds who are wise will trim their lamps and prepare to meet the bridegroom. The foolish virgins, who spent their ministry as waterless clouds, carried about by every wind of doctrine, will be rebuked by the Lord. They will hear the most awful condemnation that the Lord can deliver. “I tell you the truth, I don’t know you.” As for those pastors who have sufficient oil, they really need to start taking their responsibility of being a watchman seriously. They should be on the front lines pointing out deception and the nearness of the hour of the Lord’s return. We pray because we know that nations succeed when they submit to God, and they doom themselves when they don’t. A nation doesn’t first-and-foremost need good social policies, nor a strong economy, nor a healthy justice system. To be sure, these things are all incredibly important – but what a nation needs first-and-foremost is a heart that submits to God – for from it all else flows (Proverbs 4:23). The Greatest Commandment (Mark 12:29-30) is to love God with everything we have. And if you think about it, these incredibly important things like good policies, strong economies, and healthy justice systems are applications of the second Greatest Commandment; to love your neighbour. But you can’t love your neighbour well if you don’t first love God well, because God is the foundation for all good that will ever flow. Any other foundation will always run up dry and broken. This is why we must pray for our nation. We pray that our nation and our nation’s leaders would love God and submit to him, because that offers us the only hope for a flourishing society. So, here are a few biblical examples that demonstrate the benefits of kingdoms accepting God’s way, and the consequences of kingdoms rejecting God’s way. Obeying God in the Old Testament In the book of Jonah, the great monarchical city of Nineveh was entrenched in wickedness and not following God’s good pattern – and because of this they were destined for God’s judgement. However, when the Ninevites responded to Jonah’s warning by turning from their wickedness and believing in God, Jonah 3:10 says: “And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.” Disobeying God in the Old Testament GotQuestions explains: “Many nations of antiquity are non-existent now, having brought God’s judgment upon themselves for their sin. Edom (Jeremiah 49:17–22), Assyria (Zephaniah 2:13–15), Sodom (Genesis 18:20), and Babylon (Jeremiah 51) were all wiped out, according to the biblical prophets, for their evil before the Lord….” A hefty number of nations and rulers in the Old Testament persecuted God’s people – and rejected God’s way for a flourishing society. But in the Bible, rejecting God’s way and persecuting his people never ends well for the foreign rulers who do so. The Old Testament example of Israel 2 Chronicles 7:14 says: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Deuteronomy 30:16 says: “In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.” In the Old Testament, when Israel and its leaders honoured the Lord and sought his help, he clearly moved powerfully and protected them. However, the Bible also shows us the devastating consequences of Israel refusing to obey God, in particular with the nation’s two exiles (the Northern Kingdom exiled into Assyria in 2 Kings 17; the Southern Kingdom to Babylon in 2 Kings 25). The Lord had warned Israel repeatedly of the devastation that would come from rejecting his good pattern, but when they refused to listen, they lost his hand of protection and were removed from the land. Sin brings negative consequences. What about the New Testament? God does not show favouritism (Romans 2:11). It is not just Israel that is called to believe in the one true God (Joel 2:32; Romans 10:13). Acts 10:34-35 says: “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.” In the New Testament, Jesus clearly says that he has authority over all the earth and that he wants disciples from all nations. Matthew 28:18-20 says: “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Jesus says that his way is the only way, and that people should be taught to obey his commands. Governments are made to rest on his shoulders (Isaiah 9:6). Not only this, but the famous [passage] in Philippians 2 ends (in Philippians 2:9-11) by saying that every knee in heaven and earth and under the earth will one day confess that Jesus is Lord. If Jesus is the good King, then that can and should be done right now, before the day of judgement. But we are witnessing the collapse of our society before our very eyes, and it is not first-and-foremost because of the laws and policies we’ve pursued. Our collapse is first-and-foremost due to our rejection of God’s good pattern and our relinquishing proclamation of Jesus as Lord. We must pray that our nation returns to God. The May 30 headline in the Picayune Times read: “Louisiana lawmakers slam education chief for partnering with right wing media group.” Democrat lawmakers took issue with PragerU’s and the Louisiana Department of Education’s partnership that counterbalances the Marxist agenda of revisionist history. The Picayune Times said “And members of the Legislative Black Caucus condemned the decision by state Superintendent of Education Cade Brumley to partner with PragerU, which says its “edu-taining, pro-American content” is guided by “Biblical values” and “rejecting woke culture.” These lawmakers say that children deserve an unbiased, fact-based education free of political agendas and accuse the LA Department of Education of betraying its responsibilities by helping right-wing extremists to rewrite history. They apparently really took issue with PragerU’s factual assertion, as narrated by Candace Owens (a conservative Black woman) that plantation owners were without exception, Democrats. Instead of embracing educational dialogue based on the merits of their positions, the Democrats want to create laws to prohibit dissent. The Democrats are proving that if the educational agenda is not aligned with the Democratic Party agenda, it must be banned. Marxism by any other name. This takes an even darker twist. The Democrats tried to block Brumley’s reappointment as Superintendent of Education and they introduced bills to ban PragerU. Both Senate and House bills stated: “THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate [House of Representatives] of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby urge and request the Louisiana Department of Education and the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education to prohibit use of “edu-tainment” children videos that are discriminatory and anti-Semitic as educational tools in classrooms.” First, the PragerU partnership provides resources to teachers that can be used voluntarily, they are not required. Secondly, anti-Semitic? Both the Founder of PragerU, Dennis Prager, and Prager CEO Marissa Streit are Jewish and PragerU supports Israel and stands against anti-Semitism. Prager advocated against Soviet oppression of Jews in 1969, was appointed by President Reagan to the US Delegation to the Vienna Review Conference on the Helsinki Accords, and by President George W Bush to the US Holocaust Memorial Council. Streit was born in Los Angeles, moved to Israel where she completed her primary education, and served in the Israeli Defense Forces. As Christ said in John 8:32 that we should know the truth, “and the truth will set you free.” Ultimately, the Democrats were unsuccessful in blocking Brumley’s reappointment and their bills failed. But all Americans should know the truth about how far these Democratic Party Marxists will go to censure those with whom they disagree—even to the point of accusing Jews of being anti-Semitic. Then there are Christians who are very active and busy for God, but their love for the Lord seems to be lacking. The love that we have for Christ can be walked away from. Sometimes, we don’t love Him as we once did. We can look back on our lives as Christians and say there was a time in our walk with the Lord when our love for Him was much stronger. This often happens in marriage. We might see a young couple holding hands, gazing into each other’s eyes, and showing affection, and we assume that they must be newly married. Why? Because people who have been married for a while typically don’t do those things anymore. The same can happen in our faith. The affection is gone. The passion is gone. And the communication has broken down. In effect, the honeymoon is over. This was the situation with the church in Ephesus that Jesus addressed in the Book of Revelation. The Ephesians were active, busy, and engaged as a church, but they were lacking in love. So Jesus said, “I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance. . . . But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first!” (Revelation 2:2, 4 NLT). It’s important for us to understand that these were the words of Jesus to a literal church in the ancient city of Ephesus. It’s possible that both the apostle Paul and the apostle John had pastored it. And when John wrote down the words of Revelation while he was on the island of Patmos, this church was in its second generation. That means by this time, many of these people in the Ephesian church had been raised in a Christian home. They had been born to believing parents and had been taught the Word of God from their youth. We also know they were a very active church that served the Lord with great effort. Notice Jesus said, “I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance” (verse 2 NLT). In the original Greek, the term hard work indicates an effort that produced work even at the cost of pain. These people were hardworking. They were discerning. They were faithful. But they were guilty of a sin the average person could not detect: they had left their first love. These believers in Ephesus were so busy maintaining their separation, they were neglecting their adoration. They were substituting perspiration for inspiration. But was it really that big of a deal? Yes, it was. Because as you read the words of Jesus to the seven churches in Revelation, you will see things getting progressively worse, culminating in the outright rejection of Christ in the church of Laodicea, where He is on the outside trying to get in. It’s a big deal to leave your first love because it ultimately can lead to worse things.
