Happy Feast of Weeks (Shavuot) to Israel, and Happy Birthday to the Church! One of my favorite aspects of these annual feasts in Israel is the reminder that they’re only the shadow of what was and what is to come. Yes, the celebrations are something to look forward to. Yes, I enjoy the fact that they distinguish the Jews as a people with a unique relationship with the Lord. But most of all, I love that they point to the substance – Messiah Jesus. Colossians 2:16-17 KJV – “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.” Sadly, this year’s Shavuot celebration was met with hundreds of rockets being fired over our northern border via Hezbollah. Anymore, we basically anticipate our terrorist neighbors will ramp up their attacks during Jewish holidays. God is good. My family is safe. And while I know our military is prepared to deal with this issue, I’m not looking horizontally for my hope. Psalm 20:7 KJV – “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” Hamas & Gaza You likely know by now that God delivered in a massive way just days ago when four Israeli hostages were rescued alive at the conclusion of an amazing operation carried out by the IDF. Andrey Kozolov, Noa Argamani, Almog Meir, Shlomi Ziv were all rescued as a result of a joint operation by the IDF, Shin Bet, and Yamam (the anti-terror unit of the police). This operation had been in the making for weeks! They were able to rescue four hostages and kill terrorists at the same time. This operation consisted of many moving parts, as well as a host of explosions. The Gazans, including the terrorists, were shocked. The US was even involved in providing intel to make this mission a success. You can learn more about this incredible event in my Breaking News segment. However, this did not come without the tragic news of the loss of Captain Arnon Zamora – the team commander of the anti-terror unit – who sacrificed his life to bring them home. He will never be forgotten. He was the first person through the door where the hostages were being held. This operation has since been renamed, “Operation Arnon”. Am Yisrael Chai! This means, “The people of Israel live!” In what’s not a surprise, Hamas has increased its phycological warfare ever since, threatening to make the living conditions of the other hostages even worse. We’re not finished. As Netanyahu said, our troops are going to bring everyone home. Given that Hamas rejected our most recent offer, we’re here to stay. By the way, the leader of Hamas even voiced that he believes civilian deaths are “necessary sacrifices”. He believes Gazans need to die. Israel is trying to spare as many as possible. As the IDF continues to purge this lump of evil called Hamas from our midst, the depravity of these animals seems to be bottomless. Aside from the other grotesque things I’ve shared, the IDF is finding terror tunnel shafts in bedrooms belonging to girls. This is how these cowards operate. On a positive note, the IDF has seized full control of Philadelphi Axis and reached the Mediterranean Sea near Rafah. Hamas is now cut off from all sides. Now we have to purge them from the main city that’s dozens of feet underground. That said, nearly 40% of Rafah is now in our hands, but not at the cost of nothing. Tragically, an explosive-rigged building collapsed on Monday, resulting in the deaths and injuries of IDF soldiers. Our military remains active in Judea & Samaria on a daily basis as well. These terrorists are everywhere. Hezbollah & Lebanon Throughout Northern Israel, including the Golan region, rocket attacks coming from Hezbollah in Lebanon are basically a daily occurrence. We’re dealing with them at an increasing rate. Israel is continuing to strike throughout Southern Lebanon. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – War is imminent. Rockets and drones are constantly being intercepted in our airspace. That said, in the last couple of days, we’ve eliminated some key Hezbollah leaders. As of today, it’s war in Northern Israel. Rockets are nonstop and civilian areas are being targeted by the minute. I’m torn between wanting us to strike back at Hezbollah right NOW and knowing the reason why we shouldn’t do it a minute before it’s the exact right time. In times of war, one must think from the head and not from the stomach. In times of war, one must exercise composure and not impulsivity. In times like these, I pray even harder for our prime minister and his war cabinet members who don’t have the luxury other politicians have to make empty promises and hollow threats. I also know the importance of the verse: כִּי בְתַחְבֻּלוֹת תַּעֲשֶׂה לְּךָ מִלְחָמָה וּתְשׁוּעָה בְּרֹב יוֹעֵץ. Proverbs 24:6 KJV – “For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.” The United States Sadly, the White House continues to undermine our government. Biden’s puppet inside Israel’s war cabinet – Benny Gantz – is leaving the government at the order of the White House and the State Department in an attempt to topple Netanyahu. In response, Netanyahu said, “Israel is in an existential war on several fronts. Benny, this is not the time to abandon the campaign. This is the time to unite the forces. My door will remain open to any Zionist party that is ready to help bring victory over our enemies.” Foolishly, the US is providing another $400 million in aid to the Palestinians. From the Heart of an Israeli My social media feeds are exploding with what appears to be God-fearing and Jesus-loving individuals who are attending some major conservative events. In my attempt to understand who some of them are, I often go to their social media profiles and see what they write and who they spend their time with. To my shock and astonishment in so many cases, I see that many antisemitic people are found on those profiles. Why am I embarrassed and sad? Here I am trying to explain to broken-hearted and devastated Israelis that their best friends are neither politicians nor the progressive media, but rather, the people of God. The Church! The real Church! Remember, not all conservatives are Spirit-filled, born-again believers. In fact, most of them are not. Their “religious convictions” might make them say the right things about family, gender, and national identity. But when it comes to Israel, they will spew horrific words and follow conspiracy theories that revive old blood libels against Jews. Their biblical discernment is literally nonexistent. Why? Because they don’t have the Holy Spirit. They aren’t saved. They’re simply just religious people. Remember, religion was never the answer. If anything, Jesus pointed at it as the problem. I remember sitting on a rooftop of a building adjacent to the Vatican in Rome and giving the message: “It’s Not About Religion, Brother!”. Neither Judaism nor Islam nor Catholicism nor Hinduism nor Buddhism can ever save anyone. You can’t be born into faith. You must be born again. Your first birth will never be enough! Please try to understand: We are in a situation the Jews haven’t found themselves in since the 1930s and the 1940s of the 20th century. The silence of the world is incredibly loud! The amount of deception, ignorance, and hatred is very unfamiliar to young Israelis who were on their journey to becoming part of the global community. Suddenly, they were reminded what God, through Balaam, tried to tell us during the Exodus from Egypt: כִּֽי־מֵרֹ֤אשׁ צֻרִים֙ אֶרְאֶ֔נּוּ וּמִגְּבָע֖וֹת אֲשׁוּרֶ֑נּוּ הֶן־עָם֙ לְבָדָ֣ד יִשְׁכֹּ֔ן וּבַגּוֹיִ֖ם לֹ֥א יִתְחַשָּֽׁב׃ Numbers 23:9 KJV – “For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.” Choose wisely who you associate yourself with. And, yes, check their stance on Israel. It will say an enormous amount about their spiritual state! Daniel on the Timely Understanding of Prophecy - By Dr. Nathan E. Jones - https://christinprophecy.org/articles/daniel-on-the-timely-understanding-of-prophecy/ “But as for me, I heard but could not understand; so I said, ‘My lord, what will be the outcome of these events?'” (Daniel 12:8). The prophet Daniel had been listening intently to the angel Gabriel pronouncing a series of mind-blowing messages. God was revealing the rise and fall of great empires, leading eventually to a global empire led by a despot whom the Apostle John would later call the Antichrist, with its inevitable demise at the divine hand of God. Of course, all these great empires were still so far off in the future, from Daniel’s perspective, that he was obviously quite perplexed by what he was hearing. Rubbing his wrinkled forehead in confusion, Daniel requested God’s mighty messenger to provide some elaboration. To his dismay, the angel replied with a firm, “No way!” He explained that Daniel could never truly understand these prophecies because too many events needed to happen first before they could be fulfilled and, therefore, properly understood. Fortunately, Gabriel added there would be three major signs that would mark the “time of the end” in which the finale in this series of events would culminate. We find the source text for these signs in Daniel 12:4. “But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the time of the end; many will go to and fro, and knowledge will increase.” He added that only those living in the end times and who were “wise” (meaning spiritually discerning) would at last understand these prophecies. They would recognize that the exponential increase in knowledge, travel, and prophetic understanding would herald the end of these human-controlled kingdoms with the second advent of the Messiah establishing His earthly millennial reign (Daniel 12:3-10). 1) Increase in Knowledge Let’s explore the first sign—a great increase in knowledge. Unless you’re a toddler playing with your mother’s Android, you have lived long enough to realize that the way we obtain information has changed a lot—a whole lot—over the last few decades. Let’s not even talk decades but in years. The child attaining adulthood today can, with a shudder, look back to the early 2000s when there was no Wikipedia, no Gmail, no social media like Facebook and Twitter (now called X), no cloud computing, no tablets, no smartphones, and certainly no high-speed Internet connectivity. Remember the sound a modem made when connecting a surfer to the World Wide Web? Ask a ten-year-old that question today and they couldn’t even tell you. Even Bob Dylan couldn’t have imagined how much things would be changing when way back in the stone ages of 1963 he sang, “The Times They Are A-changin'”. Times a-changin’ wasn’t always the way things were, though. For thousands of years of human history, life remained pretty much the same. Sure, every 300 years or so the world eked out an innovation that revolutionized the world, moving humanity from say the Bronze Age to the Iron Age. But, for the most part, limitations in travel left most inventions cordoned off to a tiny corner of the world. But then, AD 1454 finally arrived, and the German goldsmith Johannes Gutenberg released the very first mobile, reusable type press (like an antique photocopier). At last, words of knowledge could be mass-copied onto paper and distributed far and wide. The age of the printed book revolutionized the world, and Gutenberg started with the fount of all knowledge—the Bible. Were you surprised to learn from your history classes that the most world-changing advances were made just in the last 150 years or so? And, as we got closer to our day and age, how each discovery came about faster and faster, as one breakthrough was achieved on top of another? This increasingly rapid acceleration in learning is called the Exponential Curve. Our knowledge has been experiencing exponential growth as one breakthrough builds upon another at an increasingly faster and faster pace. What would you say was the most important discovery that has helped us facilitate the advent of this massive explosion in the growth of knowledge? If you answered “the computer,” then you’d be correct. When it comes to the exponential curve for computers, the old joke is, “How do you know when your computer is obsolete?” The answer is, “When you take it out of the box.” That’s not too far from the truth, though, for computer companies double computer processing speeds about every 18 months. Known as Moore’s Law (after Intel co-founder Gordon Moore), this is just one manifestation of the greater trend in how all change happens to be occurring at an exponential rate. In 2023, quantum computers began processing at speeds equivalent to the human brain. By 2045, in a mere quarter of a century, Moore’s Law predicts we will possess computers with the computational ability equivalent to the entire human race! Not only has the exponential curve in all areas of computer technology increased our knowledge to stupendous levels, but computers have aided in all the major scientific discoveries of our day. We don’t need to cram so many facts into our brains anymore either, for the ability to easily store and access data means we can continue to learn like we’ve never learned before in human history. The exponential curve is not just limited to computers. Other advances in biomedicine, space science, chemical engineering, human engineering, and all the other sciences have been climbing faster and steeper up their exponential curves with every passing day. It’s expected that in the next five years, the world’s technology will be 32 times more advanced than it is today. It’s also been estimated that 65% of today’s kindergarteners, once they finally graduate from college, will ultimately end up working in completely new jobs that, at this time, don’t yet even exist. Consider that just a hundred years ago the information most people learned throughout their entire lifetime equated to the content of one Sunday edition of The New York Times. Our ability today to practically consume that same amount of information daily shows just how far mankind’s knowledge has increased in a very short amount of time. Today’s exponential increase in knowledge points to the fact that we are living in the prophesied end times and that Jesus Christ is coming soon. 2) Increase in Transportation Notice in that same prophecy the angel told Daniel that, besides a great increase in knowledge, “many will go to and fro” (Daniel 12:4). This tremendous increase in travel would also occur in the same context, that being the end times. God was revealing that once people began to go to and fro, both farther and faster, those final years before Christ returned to set up His Millennial Kingdom were finally upon us. Stop and think how people traveled just a single century ago. Most roads weren’t even paved yet and were traveled along by horse-drawn wagons. Watch on YouTube the video of San Francisco recorded back in 1906 and you will see far more horses than horseless carriages. People rarely, if ever, left their hometowns. Animal domestication and the early beginnings of decent roads, then bicycles, balloons, boats, and simple automobiles were developing, but not widely received. Since the early part of the twentieth century, mankind went on to invent airplanes and jets, and we’ve even left Earth’s atmosphere in rockets and space shuttles. It used to take months for people to travel overseas by boat, but now we travel that same distance abroad in mere hours. In today’s world, people are always on the move, just as the angel prophesied to Daniel. Today’s exponential increase in travel points to the fact that Jesus Christ is returning soon. 3) Increase in Understanding Prophecy Did you know that Bible prophecy constitutes a whopping 31% of the Bible? God’s overall plan for the ages appears to be rather like a 100-piece puzzle, and so far, He has only provided 75 pieces. One can make out the outline of a picture, but until certain events unfold, which then add another new piece to the puzzle, the picture remains incomplete. Still, the 75 pieces we have now are far more numerous than what Daniel ever had. As Jesus explained to His disciples, “For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it” (Matthew 13:17). Even then, the Apostles didn’t understand many of Christ’s teachings until after His resurrection when He openly explained them and then later sent the Holy Spirit at Pentecost to provide further illumination. Even then, the Apostles were expecting the imminent return of Christ and not a 2,000-year long wait. Today, the various end times signs related to nature, society, world politics, technology, Israel, and the spiritual signs are coming at us at such a fantastic rate that Bible prophecy teachers such as Dr. Ron Rhodes have begun to call the phenomenon “The Convergence”. So many end times signs converging all at once has greatly enhanced our understanding of end times Bible prophecy, just as Gabriel foretold. Today’s exponential increase in the understanding of God’s prophetic Word points to the fact that Jesus Christ is returning soon. Recognize the Times These three major signs, along with the hundreds more provided in the Bible, being fulfilled in our day, reveal the fact that the Lord could indeed return at any moment. By looking through the filter of the Bible at all the wondrous yet fearful events playing out before us, we should clearly understand the times in which we are living. As a result, we are comforted knowing that God’s got it all under control, that He has a great big plan in place, and that His children play a vital role in that plan. Christians are called to serve God in these dark times with all our unique giftedness, resources, and experience. For those of you who haven’t yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, but now recognize that we are living in the end times, the realization should act like an alarm clock buzzing you awake to the fact that the world doesn’t have much time left to it. We are all living on borrowed time. Therefore, embrace the fact that God loves the world so much that He gave His one and only Son and that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16). What caught my attention is that just five years ago, Fuller was sued for expelling a student who was in a same-sex marriage, so it made me wonder why they were now looking at accepting same-sex relationships. Expelled From Seminary The lawsuit came from an online student from Fort Worth, Texas, who began taking online classes through a Texas satellite campus in 2015. She says she was single when she started taking those classes but later married her female partner. A school administrator found out about her change in marital status through her 2016 tax return, which was included in her financial aid documentation. When the administration questioned her, she said that in 2018 she wrote a letter to the School of Theology dean. The response she received was the citing of the school’s policy on marriage, which Fuller stated biblical marriage is a “covenant union between one man and one woman.” Then, the school expelled her from the seminary. Church Acceptance That was November of 2019, and now in May of 2024, we see the headline that states Fuller Seminary is pondering changes that would make it more welcoming to LGBTQ students. One has to wonder what happened between 2019 and 2024? Maybe the answer comes from an April 2nd Harbinger’s Daily article that said 41% of churchgoers find no biblical problem with homosexual marriages. The article confirms that almost all of those who claim to hold to a biblical standard for marriage have now changed to holding a position of acceptance. Another Harbinger’s Daily article, this one from March 25, 2024, said more Americans (and Christians) now support same-sex marriage. The article sourced a recent Gallup polls that reported 71% of Americans think same-sex “marriage” should be legal, and 64% believe gay or lesbian relationships are morally acceptable. These numbers are double that of a generation ago! This means the general acceptance of supporting same-sex marriage is on the increase. United States Supreme Court It was Friday, June 26, 2015, when the United States Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage by a 5-4 decision. That decision was not expected to come down until Monday, June 29, but it happened on the Friday before. So, that Sunday, I remember speaking about it during church service. I knew that the church would never be the same again. I knew that the Supreme Court decision just divided the church. I knew that some on one side of the church aisle would be against the decision and others on the other side of the aisle would be okay with the ruling. With nine years of hindsight behind us, we see that as true. Surveys are showing each year the Christian population gravitates towards accepting same-sex marriage. World Magazine World Magazine published an article in 2024 about the history of the same-sex movement. The magazine highlighted a 1989 book by Marshall Kirk and advertising executive Hunter Madsen. In their book, they presented a game plan for the culture to accept same-sex relationships. They felt they could target certain churches to be a resource for helping society accept a lifestyle that had long been rejected. They wrote, “Find easy-to-manipulate churches, especially mainline Presbyterians, to get on board and help promote the idea that gays are victims.” That was the plan: “Find easy-to-manipulate churches… and promote the idea of gays being victims.” World Magazine traced the last twenty years of cultural acceptance of same-sex relationships. A Gallup Poll published in 2023 looked back at the previous twenty-six years and presented a graph explaining in 1996, just 27% of society supported legalizing same-sex marriages. In 2022, that number increased by 44% to an acceptance percentage of 71%. This means now 7 out of 10 Americans feel same-sex marriage should be accepted and valid. This research proves that we live in a culture where society relies on their opinion, not the Bible, to define what is biblically acceptable. Faithwire In response to the Gallup results, Faithwire looked into how this change in acceptance and accommodating same-sex marriage has affected the church. Remember, nine years ago, when the Supreme Court made same-sex marriage legal, I said the church would never be the same again. Faithwire’s efforts, conducted from February 13-25, 2024, revealed a notable rise in Americans who think religious beliefs are at odds with mainstream culture. Those results were not even close. 80% of Americans say the church’s influence is declining. Studies like the one done by Faithwire confirm that we are living in a time when hearts are turning hard against God. It seems we can remind people that we all have sinned. We all fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We can tell people that the wages of sin is death. Still, the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). We can repeat the encouraging words from James 5, “My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins” (James 5:19-20). God’s Warning God has been very clear in how He sees our actions. “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20). The Apostle Paul said very bluntly, “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness but instead expose them, for it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret” (Ephesians 5:11-12). The issue is that things are no longer done in secret; they are done out in the open. We can lean on Isaiah to bring some hope, “‘Come now, let us reason together,” says the Lord: ‘though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool’” (Isaiah 1:18). Pride Month I am not willing to accept sin and accommodate behavior that is disrespectful to God. However, I am not at the point where hope is lost. As we enter the month of June, our culture has decided to dedicate an entire month to gay pride. In April, we have Lesbian Visibility Day (April 26), and in July our culture celebrates International Drag Day (July 16). In October, our world recognizes National Coming Out Day (October 11), and recently, we have given November over to Trans Awareness Month. God will NOT be mocked! The final authority is God’s Word, not the desires and lifestyle of the culture. 71% of Americans may think same-sex “marriage” should be legal, and 64% may believe gay relationships are morally acceptable. Sadly, 41% of regular churchgoers do not have any biblical problems with homosexual marriages, and now Fuller Theological Seminary is looking at being more accommodating to that culture. And we wonder why 8 out of 10 Americans feel the church’s influence is declining. God will judge this world, but we’re still here, and we still have work to do. The Church is still called to be salt and light to a dark and dying world. We are not to openly accept sin—any sin. We are to offer hope and the truth of who Jesus is and what He has done. Nearing Midnight: How Much Longer Can It Be? – Jonathan Brentner - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ I have seen this picture several times on social media. I’m not sure if it’s real, photoshopped, or an image created by AI. The meme depicts a monkey walking toward a sleeping lion with a large stick in his hands. The clear implication is that once the primate hits the sleeping beast, it will not end well for him. This meme keeps coming to mind as I reflect on current events. Just like the monkey, the globalists are provoking dangerous beasts knowing that their actions will not end well for a great many people. What’s different is that they will initially prosper from the anarchy they cause. The question on my mind is this: How much longer can it be before the Lion of Judah responds in His wrath, wipes out the realm of the antichrist, and inaugurates His righteous rule upon the earth? I agree with Dr. David Reagan, who recently wrote that we are “living on borrowed time.” We do not know how much longer we must wait until the Lord appears and God’s wrath in the form of “sudden destruction” descends upon the world (1 Thessalonians 5:1-3), but what we see tells us it must be soon. World War III The picture of a monkey about to attack a sleeping lion came back to my mind when I recently came across a news item from Newsmax. Below is the first paragraph of the story: After gaining approval from the Biden administration, Ukraine reportedly used U.S. High-Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) to hit targets in the Russian city of Belgorod, 20 miles north of the Russia-Ukraine border in southern Russia. I dare not predict when, but I know this is not going to end well for America. Joe Biden, a true globalist, is doing all he can to provoke Russia into a full-scale war. Perhaps soon, the bear will respond to his constant provocation. The war in Ukraine is already a proxy conflict between NATO and Russia. Before I read the news of Biden’s approval for an attack on Russia with U.S. missiles, I was amazed that Russian President Vladimir Putin had not yet attacked NATO interests outside of the current battlefield. Now I realize it must be the Lord’s restraining hand that’s preventing the start of WWIII. The world is even now on the brink of the opening of the second seal and the release of the “pale horse,” which will bring war and conflict to the earth (Revelation 6:3-4). Perhaps soon, the constant threats from Russia to use nuclear weapons against NATO members will become a reality and lead to the massive death toll indicated in Revelation 6:8. Economic Devastation The third rider of the Apocalypse reveals a coming time of economic devastation upon the earth (Revelation 6:5-6). How much longer can it be before we see the dire conditions predicted in these verses? Painful inflation, layoffs, and business closings are already wreaking havoc throughout the U.S., but we have yet to experience the conditions described in Revelation 6. In America, we see a deliberate attempt to destroy the economy and bring financial ruin to all but the elite. The government is printing massive amounts of money as by some estimates, we are adding one trillion dollars to our debt burden every one hundred days. The open borders have allowed millions to enter our country in just the last few years, which is adding to the nation’s debt level, economic woes, and housing crisis that’s leaving multitudes homeless on our streets. Despite the financial turmoil that increases by the day, we remain earthbound, and the black horse remains in its stall. We hear it kicking, but we will be with Jesus in Heaven before this rider and horse bring widespread suffering to the world. Planned Food Shortages When goods such as food experience record soaring prices, such as will occur during the Tribulation, it signifies a shortage (the scarcity of a product combined with demand always drives up its price). Do we see the globalists provoking this outcome? Absolutely, we do. The draconian restrictions that they seek to impose on farming in the name of saving the planet will most assuredly result in the deaths of a great many people due to starvation and lead to dire food shortages in the future. The cost of meeting one’s daily need for nourishment will soar to unimaginable heights. If Not for the Lord These are just a few examples of where it seems that the Tribulation period should already have begun, but for the Lord’s hand holding back the appearance of the antichrist and the full implementation of his deadly agenda. How much longer can it be before He takes us up to glory and takes away the restraining work of the Holy Spirit? I seriously doubt that Putin’s patience accounts for delaying the start of WWIII. It could begin at any moment, but for the Lord’s power holding back the forces of evil and allowing more time for people to come to saving faith in Him. For several years, I’ve been amazed that the U.S. economy has not completely collapsed into oblivion. I can’t predict when this will occur, but I know it must be soon. For the past eighteen months, we have read warnings about imminent food shortages. However, for most people in the U.S., this has not yet materialized. Were the experts wrong? Or is it again the Lord somehow foiling the plans of the elite until the time is right? We would be terribly amiss not to see these things as evidence that the Rapture might happen in the near future. How much longer can the world leaders actively provoke events that strongly resemble the conditions described in Revelation 6:1-8? What they don’t know is that at the same time, they will unleash the fury of the Lion of Judah. Since we see much evidence of the Lord restraining judgments that cannot happen until after the Rapture, how much longer can it be until He brings us home to glory? Daily Jot: The American Chronicles: Museums in our lives - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com It has been suggested from time to time that our house is like a museum. We have a considerable amount of antiques. Most of them came to us as hand-me-downs from our family. There is an old spinning wheel that is from the colonial times. An organ that reportedly came over from Wales. Tables, chairs, trunks, dressers handed down from our ancestors over the some 400 years they have been in this country. I have a collection of old saddles from my dad and his dad. We have glassware. It sparks our interest in those odds and ends from a time gone by. And that’s why we like to visit antique shops in the towns along our travels. Brings back memories and identification with those who are no longer with us. Those places are often off the beaten trail, or hidden among the cities. One such place is the Depot at Gibson Mill in Concord, NC. It’s full of interesting relics from the past. Hidden treasures that people didn’t want anymore. Walking up to the Depot is a large Sinclair Oil Dino sign that was popular in the 1950s and beyond. This one had survived target practice of a not-so-accurate shooter. It looked as though the shooter got frustrated at not being able to hit the broad side of a brontosaurus, so he finally took a close range shot at what he thought was Dino’s heart. It reminded me of our trip out West through Wyoming in 1963, where we saw not only Dino in signs, but also in a real life likeness as a tourist attraction. Inside, there were rows and rows of various antiques and memorabilia. It was a trip down memory lane. Clocks and real metal toy tractors and trucks. A Quaker State Oil barrel and competing gas pumps from a Shell station—very similar to the ones we had at my dad’s oil delivery business by the farm. And I remember well pumping gas as a kid for the local farmers at, yes, 26 cents a gallon! And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the old Texaco Fire Chief brand—You may remember the slogan, “You can trust your car to the man who wears the star—the big, bright Texaco star!” That could have been a take away from the many gas stations out West who would offer to check your oil and use the opportunity to find (cause) a problem with your car that they needed to fix. Dad taught me to check my own oil. As we walked, Chris was in knick-knack heaven. Me, being a tightwad Welshman, didn’t want a shopping cart because I didn’t want to encourage bringing more stuff home in our RV. Eventually, I was defeated by the Belle of the Ball, a rabbit sugar container, a pair of English Staffordshire Spaniels, and various other treasures stuffed in her pockets and mine. At the checkout counter, the lady held back a knowing smile as we emptied out the endless menagerie being rang up at the feet of an antique cash register. And so it goes for the museums of our lives—both at home and on the road. The Proverb says, “There is desirable treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish man squanders it.” We must be pretty wise and ever growing in wisdom. And how can you tell whether someone really loves God? First, if we really love God, we will long for personal communion with Him. When you really love someone, you like to spend time with them. You enjoy their company and their companionship. In the same way, if you really love the Lord, then you’ll want to be in fellowship with Him. Second, a person who loves God will love the things that He loves. And we know what God loves by what He has said in His Word. The psalmist declared, “Oh, how I love your instructions!” (Psalm 119:97 NLT). Do you love the Word of God? Third, do you love hanging out with the people of God? God loves the church. Do you love lost people? God does. If you love the Lord, then you will long for fellowship with Him, and you will love what He loves. The flip side of that is if you love the Lord, then you will hate the things that He hates. That’s because His nature is becoming your nature. Psalm 97:10 says, “You who love the Lord, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked” (NLT). God hates sin, and we should, too. Fourth, if you love God, then you will love other Christians. The apostle John pointed out, “For if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?” (1 John 4:20 NLT). Our love for God isn’t real if we hate other Christians. And 1 John 3:14 says, “If we love our brothers and sisters who are believers, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead” (NLT). Fifth, if you really love God, then you will long for the return of Jesus Christ. Writing to Timothy, the apostle Paul said, “And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing” (2 Timothy 4:8 NLT). Do you love His appearing? Are you longing for the return of Jesus? A Christian who loves God will look forward to His return. Sixth, if you love God, then you will keep His commandments. Jesus said, “Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them” (John 14:21 NLT). The problem is that our actions don’t match our words. If we love God, then let’s keep His commandments. And if we are not willing to keep His commandments, then let’s stop talking about our love for God. The proof is in our actions, in what we do. (Galilee, Israel) — Shalom from Northern Israel! Happy Feast of Weeks (Shavuot) to Israel, and Happy Birthday to the Church! One of my favorite aspects of these annual feasts in Israel is the reminder that they’re only the shadow of what was and what is to come. Yes, the celebrations are something to look forward to. Yes, I enjoy the fact that they distinguish the Jews as a people with a unique relationship with the Lord. But most of all, I love that they point to the substance – Messiah Jesus. Colossians 2:16-17 KJV – “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.” Sadly, this year’s Shavuot celebration was met with hundreds of rockets being fired over our northern border via Hezbollah. Anymore, we basically anticipate our terrorist neighbors will ramp up their attacks during Jewish holidays. God is good. My family is safe. And while I know our military is prepared to deal with this issue, I’m not looking horizontally for my hope. Psalm 20:7 KJV – “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” Hamas & Gaza You likely know by now that God delivered in a massive way just days ago when four Israeli hostages were rescued alive at the conclusion of an amazing operation carried out by the IDF. Andrey Kozolov, Noa Argamani, Almog Meir, Shlomi Ziv were all rescued as a result of a joint operation by the IDF, Shin Bet, and Yamam (the anti-terror unit of the police). This operation had been in the making for weeks! They were able to rescue four hostages and kill terrorists at the same time. This operation consisted of many moving parts, as well as a host of explosions. The Gazans, including the terrorists, were shocked. The US was even involved in providing intel to make this mission a success. You can learn more about this incredible event in my Breaking News segment. However, this did not come without the tragic news of the loss of Captain Arnon Zamora – the team commander of the anti-terror unit – who sacrificed his life to bring them home. He will never be forgotten. He was the first person through the door where the hostages were being held. This operation has since been renamed, “Operation Arnon”. Am Yisrael Chai! This means, “The people of Israel live!” In what’s not a surprise, Hamas has increased its phycological warfare ever since, threatening to make the living conditions of the other hostages even worse. We’re not finished. As Netanyahu said, our troops are going to bring everyone home. Given that Hamas rejected our most recent offer, we’re here to stay. By the way, the leader of Hamas even voiced that he believes civilian deaths are “necessary sacrifices”. He believes Gazans need to die. Israel is trying to spare as many as possible. As the IDF continues to purge this lump of evil called Hamas from our midst, the depravity of these animals seems to be bottomless. Aside from the other grotesque things I’ve shared, the IDF is finding terror tunnel shafts in bedrooms belonging to girls. This is how these cowards operate. On a positive note, the IDF has seized full control of Philadelphi Axis and reached the Mediterranean Sea near Rafah. Hamas is now cut off from all sides. Now we have to purge them from the main city that’s dozens of feet underground. That said, nearly 40% of Rafah is now in our hands, but not at the cost of nothing. Tragically, an explosive-rigged building collapsed on Monday, resulting in the deaths and injuries of IDF soldiers. Our military remains active in Judea & Samaria on a daily basis as well. These terrorists are everywhere. Hezbollah & Lebanon Throughout Northern Israel, including the Golan region, rocket attacks coming from Hezbollah in Lebanon are basically a daily occurrence. We’re dealing with them at an increasing rate. Israel is continuing to strike throughout Southern Lebanon. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – War is imminent. Rockets and drones are constantly being intercepted in our airspace. That said, in the last couple of days, we’ve eliminated some key Hezbollah leaders. As of today, it’s war in Northern Israel. Rockets are nonstop and civilian areas are being targeted by the minute. I’m torn between wanting us to strike back at Hezbollah right NOW and knowing the reason why we shouldn’t do it a minute before it’s the exact right time. In times of war, one must think from the head and not from the stomach. In times of war, one must exercise composure and not impulsivity. In times like these, I pray even harder for our prime minister and his war cabinet members who don’t have the luxury other politicians have to make empty promises and hollow threats. I also know the importance of the verse: כִּי בְתַחְבֻּלוֹת תַּעֲשֶׂה לְּךָ מִלְחָמָה וּתְשׁוּעָה בְּרֹב יוֹעֵץ. Proverbs 24:6 KJV – “For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.” The United States Sadly, the White House continues to undermine our government. Biden’s puppet inside Israel’s war cabinet – Benny Gantz – is leaving the government at the order of the White House and the State Department in an attempt to topple Netanyahu. In response, Netanyahu said, “Israel is in an existential war on several fronts. Benny, this is not the time to abandon the campaign. This is the time to unite the forces. My door will remain open to any Zionist party that is ready to help bring victory over our enemies.” Foolishly, the US is providing another $400 million in aid to the Palestinians. From the Heart of an Israeli My social media feeds are exploding with what appears to be God-fearing and Jesus-loving individuals who are attending some major conservative events. In my attempt to understand who some of them are, I often go to their social media profiles and see what they write and who they spend their time with. To my shock and astonishment in so many cases, I see that many antisemitic people are found on those profiles. Why am I embarrassed and sad? Here I am trying to explain to broken-hearted and devastated Israelis that their best friends are neither politicians nor the progressive media, but rather, the people of God. The Church! The real Church! Remember, not all conservatives are Spirit-filled, born-again believers. In fact, most of them are not. Their “religious convictions” might make them say the right things about family, gender, and national identity. But when it comes to Israel, they will spew horrific words and follow conspiracy theories that revive old blood libels against Jews. Their biblical discernment is literally nonexistent. Why? Because they don’t have the Holy Spirit. They aren’t saved. They’re simply just religious people. Remember, religion was never the answer. If anything, Jesus pointed at it as the problem. I remember sitting on a rooftop of a building adjacent to the Vatican in Rome and giving the message: “It’s Not About Religion, Brother!”. Neither Judaism nor Islam nor Catholicism nor Hinduism nor Buddhism can ever save anyone. You can’t be born into faith. You must be born again. Your first birth will never be enough! Please try to understand: We are in a situation the Jews haven’t found themselves in since the 1930s and the 1940s of the 20th century. The silence of the world is incredibly loud! The amount of deception, ignorance, and hatred is very unfamiliar to young Israelis who were on their journey to becoming part of the global community. Suddenly, they were reminded what God, through Balaam, tried to tell us during the Exodus from Egypt: כִּֽי־מֵרֹ֤אשׁ צֻרִים֙ אֶרְאֶ֔נּוּ וּמִגְּבָע֖וֹת אֲשׁוּרֶ֑נּוּ הֶן־עָם֙ לְבָדָ֣ד יִשְׁכֹּ֔ן וּבַגּוֹיִ֖ם לֹ֥א יִתְחַשָּֽׁב׃ Numbers 23:9 KJV – “For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.” Choose wisely who you associate yourself with. And, yes, check their stance on Israel. It will say an enormous amount about their spiritual state! Daniel on the Timely Understanding of Prophecy - By Dr. Nathan E. The prophet Daniel had been listening intently to the angel Gabriel pronouncing a series of mind-blowing messages. God was revealing the rise and fall of great empires, leading eventually to a global empire led by a despot whom the Apostle John would later call the Antichrist, with its inevitable demise at the divine hand of God. Of course, all these great empires were still so far off in the future, from Daniel’s perspective, that he was obviously quite perplexed by what he was hearing. Rubbing his wrinkled forehead in confusion, Daniel requested God’s mighty messenger to provide some elaboration. To his dismay, the angel replied with a firm, “No way!” He explained that Daniel could never truly understand these prophecies because too many events needed to happen first before they could be fulfilled and, therefore, properly understood. Fortunately, Gabriel added there would be three major signs that would mark the “time of the end” in which the finale in this series of events would culminate. We find the source text for these signs in Daniel 12:4. “But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the time of the end; many will go to and fro, and knowledge will increase.” He added that only those living in the end times and who were “wise” (meaning spiritually discerning) would at last understand these prophecies. They would recognize that the exponential increase in knowledge, travel, and prophetic understanding would herald the end of these human-controlled kingdoms with the second advent of the Messiah establishing His earthly millennial reign (Daniel 12:3-10). 1) Increase in Knowledge Let’s explore the first sign—a great increase in knowledge. Unless you’re a toddler playing with your mother’s Android, you have lived long enough to realize that the way we obtain information has changed a lot—a whole lot—over the last few decades. Let’s not even talk decades but in years. The child attaining adulthood today can, with a shudder, look back to the early 2000s when there was no Wikipedia, no Gmail, no social media like Facebook and Twitter (now called X), no cloud computing, no tablets, no smartphones, and certainly no high-speed Internet connectivity. Remember the sound a modem made when connecting a surfer to the World Wide Web? Ask a ten-year-old that question today and they couldn’t even tell you. Even Bob Dylan couldn’t have imagined how much things would be changing when way back in the stone ages of 1963 he sang, “The Times They Are A-changin'”. Times a-changin’ wasn’t always the way things were, though. For thousands of years of human history, life remained pretty much the same. Sure, every 300 years or so the world eked out an innovation that revolutionized the world, moving humanity from say the Bronze Age to the Iron Age. But, for the most part, limitations in travel left most inventions cordoned off to a tiny corner of the world. But then, AD 1454 finally arrived, and the German goldsmith Johannes Gutenberg released the very first mobile, reusable type press (like an antique photocopier). At last, words of knowledge could be mass-copied onto paper and distributed far and wide. The age of the printed book revolutionized the world, and Gutenberg started with the fount of all knowledge—the Bible. Were you surprised to learn from your history classes that the most world-changing advances were made just in the last 150 years or so? And, as we got closer to our day and age, how each discovery came about faster and faster, as one breakthrough was achieved on top of another? This increasingly rapid acceleration in learning is called the Exponential Curve. Our knowledge has been experiencing exponential growth as one breakthrough builds upon another at an increasingly faster and faster pace. What would you say was the most important discovery that has helped us facilitate the advent of this massive explosion in the growth of knowledge? If you answered “the computer,” then you’d be correct. When it comes to the exponential curve for computers, the old joke is, “How do you know when your computer is obsolete?” The answer is, “When you take it out of the box.” That’s not too far from the truth, though, for computer companies double computer processing speeds about every 18 months. Known as Moore’s Law (after Intel co-founder Gordon Moore), this is just one manifestation of the greater trend in how all change happens to be occurring at an exponential rate. In 2023, quantum computers began processing at speeds equivalent to the human brain. By 2045, in a mere quarter of a century, Moore’s Law predicts we will possess computers with the computational ability equivalent to the entire human race! Not only has the exponential curve in all areas of computer technology increased our knowledge to stupendous levels, but computers have aided in all the major scientific discoveries of our day. We don’t need to cram so many facts into our brains anymore either, for the ability to easily store and access data means we can continue to learn like we’ve never learned before in human history. The exponential curve is not just limited to computers. Other advances in biomedicine, space science, chemical engineering, human engineering, and all the other sciences have been climbing faster and steeper up their exponential curves with every passing day. It’s expected that in the next five years, the world’s technology will be 32 times more advanced than it is today. It’s also been estimated that 65% of today’s kindergarteners, once they finally graduate from college, will ultimately end up working in completely new jobs that, at this time, don’t yet even exist. Consider that just a hundred years ago the information most people learned throughout their entire lifetime equated to the content of one Sunday edition of The New York Times. Our ability today to practically consume that same amount of information daily shows just how far mankind’s knowledge has increased in a very short amount of time. Today’s exponential increase in knowledge points to the fact that we are living in the prophesied end times and that Jesus Christ is coming soon. 2) Increase in Transportation Notice in that same prophecy the angel told Daniel that, besides a great increase in knowledge, “many will go to and fro” (Daniel 12:4). This tremendous increase in travel would also occur in the same context, that being the end times. God was revealing that once people began to go to and fro, both farther and faster, those final years before Christ returned to set up His Millennial Kingdom were finally upon us. Stop and think how people traveled just a single century ago. Most roads weren’t even paved yet and were traveled along by horse-drawn wagons. Watch on YouTube the video of San Francisco recorded back in 1906 and you will see far more horses than horseless carriages. People rarely, if ever, left their hometowns. Animal domestication and the early beginnings of decent roads, then bicycles, balloons, boats, and simple automobiles were developing, but not widely received. Since the early part of the twentieth century, mankind went on to invent airplanes and jets, and we’ve even left Earth’s atmosphere in rockets and space shuttles. It used to take months for people to travel overseas by boat, but now we travel that same distance abroad in mere hours. In today’s world, people are always on the move, just as the angel prophesied to Daniel. Today’s exponential increase in travel points to the fact that Jesus Christ is returning soon. 3) Increase in Understanding Prophecy Did you know that Bible prophecy constitutes a whopping 31% of the Bible? God’s overall plan for the ages appears to be rather like a 100-piece puzzle, and so far, He has only provided 75 pieces. One can make out the outline of a picture, but until certain events unfold, which then add another new piece to the puzzle, the picture remains incomplete. Still, the 75 pieces we have now are far more numerous than what Daniel ever had. As Jesus explained to His disciples, “For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it” (Matthew 13:17). Even then, the Apostles didn’t understand many of Christ’s teachings until after His resurrection when He openly explained them and then later sent the Holy Spirit at Pentecost to provide further illumination. Even then, the Apostles were expecting the imminent return of Christ and not a 2,000-year long wait. Today, the various end times signs related to nature, society, world politics, technology, Israel, and the spiritual signs are coming at us at such a fantastic rate that Bible prophecy teachers such as Dr. Ron Rhodes have begun to call the phenomenon “The Convergence”. So many end times signs converging all at once has greatly enhanced our understanding of end times Bible prophecy, just as Gabriel foretold. Today’s exponential increase in the understanding of God’s prophetic Word points to the fact that Jesus Christ is returning soon. Recognize the Times These three major signs, along with the hundreds more provided in the Bible, being fulfilled in our day, reveal the fact that the Lord could indeed return at any moment. By looking through the filter of the Bible at all the wondrous yet fearful events playing out before us, we should clearly understand the times in which we are living. As a result, we are comforted knowing that God’s got it all under control, that He has a great big plan in place, and that His children play a vital role in that plan. Christians are called to serve God in these dark times with all our unique giftedness, resources, and experience. For those of you who haven’t yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, but now recognize that we are living in the end times, the realization should act like an alarm clock buzzing you awake to the fact that the world doesn’t have much time left to it. We are all living on borrowed time. Therefore, embrace the fact that God loves the world so much that He gave His one and only Son and that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16). What caught my attention is that just five years ago, Fuller was sued for expelling a student who was in a same-sex marriage, so it made me wonder why they were now looking at accepting same-sex relationships. Expelled From Seminary The lawsuit came from an online student from Fort Worth, Texas, who began taking online classes through a Texas satellite campus in 2015. She says she was single when she started taking those classes but later married her female partner. A school administrator found out about her change in marital status through her 2016 tax return, which was included in her financial aid documentation. When the administration questioned her, she said that in 2018 she wrote a letter to the School of Theology dean. The response she received was the citing of the school’s policy on marriage, which Fuller stated biblical marriage is a “covenant union between one man and one woman.” Then, the school expelled her from the seminary. Church Acceptance That was November of 2019, and now in May of 2024, we see the headline that states Fuller Seminary is pondering changes that would make it more welcoming to LGBTQ students. One has to wonder what happened between 2019 and 2024? Maybe the answer comes from an April 2nd Harbinger’s Daily article that said 41% of churchgoers find no biblical problem with homosexual marriages. The article confirms that almost all of those who claim to hold to a biblical standard for marriage have now changed to holding a position of acceptance. Another Harbinger’s Daily article, this one from March 25, 2024, said more Americans (and Christians) now support same-sex marriage. The article sourced a recent Gallup polls that reported 71% of Americans think same-sex “marriage” should be legal, and 64% believe gay or lesbian relationships are morally acceptable. These numbers are double that of a generation ago! This means the general acceptance of supporting same-sex marriage is on the increase. United States Supreme Court It was Friday, June 26, 2015, when the United States Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage by a 5-4 decision. That decision was not expected to come down until Monday, June 29, but it happened on the Friday before. So, that Sunday, I remember speaking about it during church service. I knew that the church would never be the same again. I knew that the Supreme Court decision just divided the church. I knew that some on one side of the church aisle would be against the decision and others on the other side of the aisle would be okay with the ruling. With nine years of hindsight behind us, we see that as true. Surveys are showing each year the Christian population gravitates towards accepting same-sex marriage. World Magazine World Magazine published an article in 2024 about the history of the same-sex movement. The magazine highlighted a 1989 book by Marshall Kirk and advertising executive Hunter Madsen. In their book, they presented a game plan for the culture to accept same-sex relationships. They felt they could target certain churches to be a resource for helping society accept a lifestyle that had long been rejected. They wrote, “Find easy-to-manipulate churches, especially mainline Presbyterians, to get on board and help promote the idea that gays are victims.” That was the plan: “Find easy-to-manipulate churches… and promote the idea of gays being victims.” World Magazine traced the last twenty years of cultural acceptance of same-sex relationships. A Gallup Poll published in 2023 looked back at the previous twenty-six years and presented a graph explaining in 1996, just 27% of society supported legalizing same-sex marriages. In 2022, that number increased by 44% to an acceptance percentage of 71%. This means now 7 out of 10 Americans feel same-sex marriage should be accepted and valid. This research proves that we live in a culture where society relies on their opinion, not the Bible, to define what is biblically acceptable. Faithwire In response to the Gallup results, Faithwire looked into how this change in acceptance and accommodating same-sex marriage has affected the church. Remember, nine years ago, when the Supreme Court made same-sex marriage legal, I said the church would never be the same again. Faithwire’s efforts, conducted from February 13-25, 2024, revealed a notable rise in Americans who think religious beliefs are at odds with mainstream culture. Those results were not even close. 80% of Americans say the church’s influence is declining. Studies like the one done by Faithwire confirm that we are living in a time when hearts are turning hard against God. It seems we can remind people that we all have sinned. We all fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We can tell people that the wages of sin is death. Still, the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). We can repeat the encouraging words from James 5, “My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins” (James 5:19-20). God’s Warning God has been very clear in how He sees our actions. “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20). The Apostle Paul said very bluntly, “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness but instead expose them, for it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret” (Ephesians 5:11-12). The issue is that things are no longer done in secret; they are done out in the open. We can lean on Isaiah to bring some hope, “‘Come now, let us reason together,” says the Lord: ‘though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool’” (Isaiah 1:18). Pride Month I am not willing to accept sin and accommodate behavior that is disrespectful to God. However, I am not at the point where hope is lost. As we enter the month of June, our culture has decided to dedicate an entire month to gay pride. In April, we have Lesbian Visibility Day (April 26), and in July our culture celebrates International Drag Day (July 16). In October, our world recognizes National Coming Out Day (October 11), and recently, we have given November over to Trans Awareness Month. God will NOT be mocked! The final authority is God’s Word, not the desires and lifestyle of the culture. 71% of Americans may think same-sex “marriage” should be legal, and 64% may believe gay relationships are morally acceptable. Sadly, 41% of regular churchgoers do not have any biblical problems with homosexual marriages, and now Fuller Theological Seminary is looking at being more accommodating to that culture. And we wonder why 8 out of 10 Americans feel the church’s influence is declining. God will judge this world, but we’re still here, and we still have work to do. The Church is still called to be salt and light to a dark and dying world. We are not to openly accept sin—any sin. We are to offer hope and the truth of who Jesus is and what He has done. Nearing Midnight: How Much Longer Can It Be? – Jonathan Brentner - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ I have seen this picture several times on social media. I’m not sure if it’s real, photoshopped, or an image created by AI. The meme depicts a monkey walking toward a sleeping lion with a large stick in his hands. The clear implication is that once the primate hits the sleeping beast, it will not end well for him. This meme keeps coming to mind as I reflect on current events. Just like the monkey, the globalists are provoking dangerous beasts knowing that their actions will not end well for a great many people. What’s different is that they will initially prosper from the anarchy they cause. The question on my mind is this: How much longer can it be before the Lion of Judah responds in His wrath, wipes out the realm of the antichrist, and inaugurates His righteous rule upon the earth? I agree with Dr. David Reagan, who recently wrote that we are “living on borrowed time.” We do not know how much longer we must wait until the Lord appears and God’s wrath in the form of “sudden destruction” descends upon the world (1 Thessalonians 5:1-3), but what we see tells us it must be soon. World War III The picture of a monkey about to attack a sleeping lion came back to my mind when I recently came across a news item from Newsmax. Below is the first paragraph of the story: After gaining approval from the Biden administration, Ukraine reportedly used U.S. High-Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) to hit targets in the Russian city of Belgorod, 20 miles north of the Russia-Ukraine border in southern Russia. I dare not predict when, but I know this is not going to end well for America. Joe Biden, a true globalist, is doing all he can to provoke Russia into a full-scale war. Perhaps soon, the bear will respond to his constant provocation. The war in Ukraine is already a proxy conflict between NATO and Russia. Before I read the news of Biden’s approval for an attack on Russia with U.S. missiles, I was amazed that Russian President Vladimir Putin had not yet attacked NATO interests outside of the current battlefield. Now I realize it must be the Lord’s restraining hand that’s preventing the start of WWIII. The world is even now on the brink of the opening of the second seal and the release of the “pale horse,” which will bring war and conflict to the earth (Revelation 6:3-4). Perhaps soon, the constant threats from Russia to use nuclear weapons against NATO members will become a reality and lead to the massive death toll indicated in Revelation 6:8. Economic Devastation The third rider of the Apocalypse reveals a coming time of economic devastation upon the earth (Revelation 6:5-6). How much longer can it be before we see the dire conditions predicted in these verses? Painful inflation, layoffs, and business closings are already wreaking havoc throughout the U.S., but we have yet to experience the conditions described in Revelation 6. In America, we see a deliberate attempt to destroy the economy and bring financial ruin to all but the elite. The government is printing massive amounts of money as by some estimates, we are adding one trillion dollars to our debt burden every one hundred days. The open borders have allowed millions to enter our country in just the last few years, which is adding to the nation’s debt level, economic woes, and housing crisis that’s leaving multitudes homeless on our streets. Despite the financial turmoil that increases by the day, we remain earthbound, and the black horse remains in its stall. We hear it kicking, but we will be with Jesus in Heaven before this rider and horse bring widespread suffering to the world. Planned Food Shortages When goods such as food experience record soaring prices, such as will occur during the Tribulation, it signifies a shortage (the scarcity of a product combined with demand always drives up its price). Do we see the globalists provoking this outcome? Absolutely, we do. The draconian restrictions that they seek to impose on farming in the name of saving the planet will most assuredly result in the deaths of a great many people due to starvation and lead to dire food shortages in the future. The cost of meeting one’s daily need for nourishment will soar to unimaginable heights. If Not for the Lord These are just a few examples of where it seems that the Tribulation period should already have begun, but for the Lord’s hand holding back the appearance of the antichrist and the full implementation of his deadly agenda. How much longer can it be before He takes us up to glory and takes away the restraining work of the Holy Spirit? I seriously doubt that Putin’s patience accounts for delaying the start of WWIII. It could begin at any moment, but for the Lord’s power holding back the forces of evil and allowing more time for people to come to saving faith in Him. For several years, I’ve been amazed that the U.S. economy has not completely collapsed into oblivion. I can’t predict when this will occur, but I know it must be soon. For the past eighteen months, we have read warnings about imminent food shortages. However, for most people in the U.S., this has not yet materialized. Were the experts wrong? Or is it again the Lord somehow foiling the plans of the elite until the time is right? We would be terribly amiss not to see these things as evidence that the Rapture might happen in the near future. How much longer can the world leaders actively provoke events that strongly resemble the conditions described in Revelation 6:1-8? What they don’t know is that at the same time, they will unleash the fury of the Lion of Judah. Since we see much evidence of the Lord restraining judgments that cannot happen until after the Rapture, how much longer can it be until He brings us home to glory? Daily Jot: The American Chronicles: Museums in our lives - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com It has been suggested from time to time that our house is like a museum. We have a considerable amount of antiques. Most of them came to us as hand-me-downs from our family. There is an old spinning wheel that is from the colonial times. An organ that reportedly came over from Wales. Tables, chairs, trunks, dressers handed down from our ancestors over the some 400 years they have been in this country. I have a collection of old saddles from my dad and his dad. We have glassware. It sparks our interest in those odds and ends from a time gone by. And that’s why we like to visit antique shops in the towns along our travels. Brings back memories and identification with those who are no longer with us. Those places are often off the beaten trail, or hidden among the cities. One such place is the Depot at Gibson Mill in Concord, NC. It’s full of interesting relics from the past. Hidden treasures that people didn’t want anymore. Walking up to the Depot is a large Sinclair Oil Dino sign that was popular in the 1950s and beyond. This one had survived target practice of a not-so-accurate shooter. It looked as though the shooter got frustrated at not being able to hit the broad side of a brontosaurus, so he finally took a close range shot at what he thought was Dino’s heart. It reminded me of our trip out West through Wyoming in 1963, where we saw not only Dino in signs, but also in a real life likeness as a tourist attraction. Inside, there were rows and rows of various antiques and memorabilia. It was a trip down memory lane. Clocks and real metal toy tractors and trucks. A Quaker State Oil barrel and competing gas pumps from a Shell station—very similar to the ones we had at my dad’s oil delivery business by the farm. And I remember well pumping gas as a kid for the local farmers at, yes, 26 cents a gallon! And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the old Texaco Fire Chief brand—You may remember the slogan, “You can trust your car to the man who wears the star—the big, bright Texaco star!” That could have been a take away from the many gas stations out West who would offer to check your oil and use the opportunity to find (cause) a problem with your car that they needed to fix. Dad taught me to check my own oil. As we walked, Chris was in knick-knack heaven. Me, being a tightwad Welshman, didn’t want a shopping cart because I didn’t want to encourage bringing more stuff home in our RV. Eventually, I was defeated by the Belle of the Ball, a rabbit sugar container, a pair of English Staffordshire Spaniels, and various other treasures stuffed in her pockets and mine. At the checkout counter, the lady held back a knowing smile as we emptied out the endless menagerie being rang up at the feet of an antique cash register. And so it goes for the museums of our lives—both at home and on the road. The Proverb says, “There is desirable treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish man squanders it.” We must be pretty wise and ever growing in wisdom. Take the time to remember the good things that bring wisdom in your travels. And how can you tell whether someone really loves God? First, if we really love God, we will long for personal communion with Him. When you really love someone, you like to spend time with them. You enjoy their company and their companionship. In the same way, if you really love the Lord, then you’ll want to be in fellowship with Him. Second, a person who loves God will love the things that He loves. And we know what God loves by what He has said in His Word. The psalmist declared, “Oh, how I love your instructions!” (Psalm 119:97 NLT). Do you love the Word of God? Third, do you love hanging out with the people of God? God loves the church. Do you love lost people? God does. If you love the Lord, then you will long for fellowship with Him, and you will love what He loves. The flip side of that is if you love the Lord, then you will hate the things that He hates. That’s because His nature is becoming your nature. Psalm 97:10 says, “You who love the Lord, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked” (NLT). God hates sin, and we should, too. Fourth, if you love God, then you will love other Christians. The apostle John pointed out, “For if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?” (1 John 4:20 NLT). Our love for God isn’t real if we hate other Christians. And 1 John 3:14 says, “If we love our brothers and sisters who are believers, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead” (NLT). Fifth, if you really love God, then you will long for the return of Jesus Christ. Writing to Timothy, the apostle Paul said, “And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing” (2 Timothy 4:8 NLT). Do you love His appearing? Are you longing for the return of Jesus? A Christian who loves God will look forward to His return. Sixth, if you love God, then you will keep His commandments. Jesus said, “Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them” (John 14:21 NLT). The problem is that our actions don’t match our words. If we love God, then let’s keep His commandments. And if we are not willing to keep His commandments, then let’s stop talking about our love for God. The proof is in our actions, in what we do. (Galilee, Israel) — Shalom from Northern Israel! Happy Feast of Weeks (Shavuot) to Israel, and Happy Birthday to the Church! One of my favorite aspects of these annual feasts in Israel is the reminder that they’re only the shadow of what was and what is to come. Yes, the celebrations are something to look forward to. Yes, I enjoy the fact that they distinguish the Jews as a people with a unique relationship with the Lord. But most of all, I love that they point to the substance – Messiah Jesus. Colossians 2:16-17 KJV – “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.” Sadly, this year’s Shavuot celebration was met with hundreds of rockets being fired over our northern border via Hezbollah. Anymore, we basically anticipate our terrorist neighbors will ramp up their attacks during Jewish holidays. God is good. My family is safe. And while I know our military is prepared to deal with this issue, I’m not looking horizontally for my hope. Psalm 20:7 KJV – “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” Hamas & Gaza You likely know by now that God delivered in a massive way just days ago when four Israeli hostages were rescued alive at the conclusion of an amazing operation carried out by the IDF. Andrey Kozolov, Noa Argamani, Almog Meir, Shlomi Ziv were all rescued as a result of a joint operation by the IDF, Shin Bet, and Yamam (the anti-terror unit of the police). This operation had been in the making for weeks! They were able to rescue four hostages and kill terrorists at the same time. This operation consisted of many moving parts, as well as a host of explosions. The Gazans, including the terrorists, were shocked. The US was even involved in providing intel to make this mission a success. You can learn more about this incredible event in my Breaking News segment. However, this did not come without the tragic news of the loss of Captain Arnon Zamora – the team commander of the anti-terror unit – who sacrificed his life to bring them home. He will never be forgotten. He was the first person through the door where the hostages were being held. This operation has since been renamed, “Operation Arnon”. Am Yisrael Chai! This means, “The people of Israel live!” In what’s not a surprise, Hamas has increased its phycological warfare ever since, threatening to make the living conditions of the other hostages even worse. We’re not finished. As Netanyahu said, our troops are going to bring everyone home. Given that Hamas rejected our most recent offer, we’re here to stay. By the way, the leader of Hamas even voiced that he believes civilian deaths are “necessary sacrifices”. He believes Gazans need to die. Israel is trying to spare as many as possible. As the IDF continues to purge this lump of evil called Hamas from our midst, the depravity of these animals seems to be bottomless. Aside from the other grotesque things I’ve shared, the IDF is finding terror tunnel shafts in bedrooms belonging to girls. This is how these cowards operate. On a positive note, the IDF has seized full control of Philadelphi Axis and reached the Mediterranean Sea near Rafah. Hamas is now cut off from all sides. Now we have to purge them from the main city that’s dozens of feet underground. That said, nearly 40% of Rafah is now in our hands, but not at the cost of nothing. Tragically, an explosive-rigged building collapsed on Monday, resulting in the deaths and injuries of IDF soldiers. Our military remains active in Judea & Samaria on a daily basis as well. These terrorists are everywhere. Hezbollah & Lebanon Throughout Northern Israel, including the Golan region, rocket attacks coming from Hezbollah in Lebanon are basically a daily occurrence. We’re dealing with them at an increasing rate. Israel is continuing to strike throughout Southern Lebanon. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – War is imminent. Rockets and drones are constantly being intercepted in our airspace. That said, in the last couple of days, we’ve eliminated some key Hezbollah leaders. As of today, it’s war in Northern Israel. Rockets are nonstop and civilian areas are being targeted by the minute. I’m torn between wanting us to strike back at Hezbollah right NOW and knowing the reason why we shouldn’t do it a minute before it’s the exact right time. In times of war, one must think from the head and not from the stomach. In times of war, one must exercise composure and not impulsivity. In times like these, I pray even harder for our prime minister and his war cabinet members who don’t have the luxury other politicians have to make empty promises and hollow threats. I also know the importance of the verse: כִּי בְתַחְבֻּלוֹת תַּעֲשֶׂה לְּךָ מִלְחָמָה וּתְשׁוּעָה בְּרֹב יוֹעֵץ. Proverbs 24:6 KJV – “For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.” The United States Sadly, the White House continues to undermine our government. Biden’s puppet inside Israel’s war cabinet – Benny Gantz – is leaving the government at the order of the White House and the State Department in an attempt to topple Netanyahu. In response, Netanyahu said, “Israel is in an existential war on several fronts. Benny, this is not the time to abandon the campaign. This is the time to unite the forces. My door will remain open to any Zionist party that is ready to help bring victory over our enemies.” Foolishly, the US is providing another $400 million in aid to the Palestinians. From the Heart of an Israeli My social media feeds are exploding with what appears to be God-fearing and Jesus-loving individuals who are attending some major conservative events. In my attempt to understand who some of them are, I often go to their social media profiles and see what they write and who they spend their time with. To my shock and astonishment in so many cases, I see that many antisemitic people are found on those profiles. Why am I embarrassed and sad? Here I am trying to explain to broken-hearted and devastated Israelis that their best friends are neither politicians nor the progressive media, but rather, the people of God. The Church! The real Church! Remember, not all conservatives are Spirit-filled, born-again believers. In fact, most of them are not. Their “religious convictions” might make them say the right things about family, gender, and national identity. But when it comes to Israel, they will spew horrific words and follow conspiracy theories that revive old blood libels against Jews. Their biblical discernment is literally nonexistent. Why? Because they don’t have the Holy Spirit. They aren’t saved. They’re simply just religious people. Remember, religion was never the answer. If anything, Jesus pointed at it as the problem. I remember sitting on a rooftop of a building adjacent to the Vatican in Rome and giving the message: “It’s Not About Religion, Brother!”. Neither Judaism nor Islam nor Catholicism nor Hinduism nor Buddhism can ever save anyone. You can’t be born into faith. You must be born again. Your first birth will never be enough! Please try to understand: We are in a situation the Jews haven’t found themselves in since the 1930s and the 1940s of the 20th century. The silence of the world is incredibly loud! The amount of deception, ignorance, and hatred is very unfamiliar to young Israelis who were on their journey to becoming part of the global community. Suddenly, they were reminded what God, through Balaam, tried to tell us during the Exodus from Egypt: כִּֽי־מֵרֹ֤אשׁ צֻרִים֙ אֶרְאֶ֔נּוּ וּמִגְּבָע֖וֹת אֲשׁוּרֶ֑נּוּ הֶן־עָם֙ לְבָדָ֣ד יִשְׁכֹּ֔ן וּבַגּוֹיִ֖ם לֹ֥א יִתְחַשָּֽׁב׃ Numbers 23:9 KJV – “For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.” Choose wisely who you associate yourself with. And, yes, check their stance on Israel. It will say an enormous amount about their spiritual state! Daniel on the Timely Understanding of Prophecy - By Dr. Nathan E. Jones - https://christinprophecy.org/articles/daniel-on-the-timely-understanding-of-prophecy/ “But as for me, I heard but could not understand; so I said, ‘My lord, what will be the outcome of these events?'” (Daniel 12:8). The prophet Daniel had been listening intently to the angel Gabriel pronouncing a series of mind-blowing messages. God was revealing the rise and fall of great empires, leading eventually to a global empire led by a despot whom the Apostle John would later call the Antichrist, with its inevitable demise at the divine hand of God. Of course, all these great empires were still so far off in the future, from Daniel’s perspective, that he was obviously quite perplexed by what he was hearing. Rubbing his wrinkled forehead in confusion, Daniel requested God’s mighty messenger to provide some elaboration. To his dismay, the angel replied with a firm, “No way!” He explained that Daniel could never truly understand these prophecies because too many events needed to happen first before they could be fulfilled and, therefore, properly understood. Fortunately, Gabriel added there would be three major signs that would mark the “time of the end” in which the finale in this series of events would culminate. We find the source text for these signs in Daniel 12:4. “But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the time of the end; many will go to and fro, and knowledge will increase.” He added that only those living in the end times and who were “wise” (meaning spiritually discerning) would at last understand these prophecies. They would recognize that the exponential increase in knowledge, travel, and prophetic understanding would herald the end of these human-controlled kingdoms with the second advent of the Messiah establishing His earthly millennial reign (Daniel 12:3-10). 1) Increase in Knowledge Let’s explore the first sign—a great increase in knowledge. Unless you’re a toddler playing with your mother’s Android, you have lived long enough to realize that the way we obtain information has changed a lot—a whole lot—over the last few decades. Let’s not even talk decades but in years. The child attaining adulthood today can, with a shudder, look back to the early 2000s when there was no Wikipedia, no Gmail, no social media like Facebook and Twitter (now called X), no cloud computing, no tablets, no smartphones, and certainly no high-speed Internet connectivity. Remember the sound a modem made when connecting a surfer to the World Wide Web? Ask a ten-year-old that question today and they couldn’t even tell you. Even Bob Dylan couldn’t have imagined how much things would be changing when way back in the stone ages of 1963 he sang, “The Times They Are A-changin'”. Times a-changin’ wasn’t always the way things were, though. For thousands of years of human history, life remained pretty much the same. Sure, every 300 years or so the world eked out an innovation that revolutionized the world, moving humanity from say the Bronze Age to the Iron Age. But, for the most part, limitations in travel left most inventions cordoned off to a tiny corner of the world. But then, AD 1454 finally arrived, and the German goldsmith Johannes Gutenberg released the very first mobile, reusable type press (like an antique photocopier). At last, words of knowledge could be mass-copied onto paper and distributed far and wide. The age of the printed book revolutionized the world, and Gutenberg started with the fount of all knowledge—the Bible. Were you surprised to learn from your history classes that the most world-changing advances were made just in the last 150 years or so? And, as we got closer to our day and age, how each discovery came about faster and faster, as one breakthrough was achieved on top of another? This increasingly rapid acceleration in learning is called the Exponential Curve. Our knowledge has been experiencing exponential growth as one breakthrough builds upon another at an increasingly faster and faster pace. What would you say was the most important discovery that has helped us facilitate the advent of this massive explosion in the growth of knowledge? If you answered “the computer,” then you’d be correct. When it comes to the exponential curve for computers, the old joke is, “How do you know when your computer is obsolete?” The answer is, “When you take it out of the box.” That’s not too far from the truth, though, for computer companies double computer processing speeds about every 18 months. Known as Moore’s Law (after Intel co-founder Gordon Moore), this is just one manifestation of the greater trend in how all change happens to be occurring at an exponential rate. In 2023, quantum computers began processing at speeds equivalent to the human brain. By 2045, in a mere quarter of a century, Moore’s Law predicts we will possess computers with the computational ability equivalent to the entire human race! Not only has the exponential curve in all areas of computer technology increased our knowledge to stupendous levels, but computers have aided in all the major scientific discoveries of our day. We don’t need to cram so many facts into our brains anymore either, for the ability to easily store and access data means we can continue to learn like we’ve never learned before in human history. The exponential curve is not just limited to computers. Other advances in biomedicine, space science, chemical engineering, human engineering, and all the other sciences have been climbing faster and steeper up their exponential curves with every passing day. It’s expected that in the next five years, the world’s technology will be 32 times more advanced than it is today. It’s also been estimated that 65% of today’s kindergarteners, once they finally graduate from college, will ultimately end up working in completely new jobs that, at this time, don’t yet even exist. Consider that just a hundred years ago the information most people learned throughout their entire lifetime equated to the content of one Sunday edition of The New York Times. Our ability today to practically consume that same amount of information daily shows just how far mankind’s knowledge has increased in a very short amount of time. Today’s exponential increase in knowledge points to the fact that we are living in the prophesied end times and that Jesus Christ is coming soon. 2) Increase in Transportation Notice in that same prophecy the angel told Daniel that, besides a great increase in knowledge, “many will go to and fro” (Daniel 12:4). This tremendous increase in travel would also occur in the same context, that being the end times. God was revealing that once people began to go to and fro, both farther and faster, those final years before Christ returned to set up His Millennial Kingdom were finally upon us. Stop and think how people traveled just a single century ago. Most roads weren’t even paved yet and were traveled along by horse-drawn wagons. Watch on YouTube the video of San Francisco recorded back in 1906 and you will see far more horses than horseless carriages. People rarely, if ever, left their hometowns. Animal domestication and the early beginnings of decent roads, then bicycles, balloons, boats, and simple automobiles were developing, but not widely received. Since the early part of the twentieth century, mankind went on to invent airplanes and jets, and we’ve even left Earth’s atmosphere in rockets and space shuttles. It used to take months for people to travel overseas by boat, but now we travel that same distance abroad in mere hours. In today’s world, people are always on the move, just as the angel prophesied to Daniel. Today’s exponential increase in travel points to the fact that Jesus Christ is returning soon. 3) Increase in Understanding Prophecy Did you know that Bible prophecy constitutes a whopping 31% of the Bible? God’s overall plan for the ages appears to be rather like a 100-piece puzzle, and so far, He has only provided 75 pieces. One can make out the outline of a picture, but until certain events unfold, which then add another new piece to the puzzle, the picture remains incomplete. Still, the 75 pieces we have now are far more numerous than what Daniel ever had. As Jesus explained to His disciples, “For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it” (Matthew 13:17). Even then, the Apostles didn’t understand many of Christ’s teachings until after His resurrection when He openly explained them and then later sent the Holy Spirit at Pentecost to provide further illumination. Even then, the Apostles were expecting the imminent return of Christ and not a 2,000-year long wait. Today, the various end times signs related to nature, society, world politics, technology, Israel, and the spiritual signs are coming at us at such a fantastic rate that Bible prophecy teachers such as Dr. Ron Rhodes have begun to call the phenomenon “The Convergence”. So many end times signs converging all at once has greatly enhanced our understanding of end times Bible prophecy, just as Gabriel foretold. Today’s exponential increase in the understanding of God’s prophetic Word points to the fact that Jesus Christ is returning soon. Recognize the Times These three major signs, along with the hundreds more provided in the Bible, being fulfilled in our day, reveal the fact that the Lord could indeed return at any moment. By looking through the filter of the Bible at all the wondrous yet fearful events playing out before us, we should clearly understand the times in which we are living. As a result, we are comforted knowing that God’s got it all under control, that He has a great big plan in place, and that His children play a vital role in that plan. Christians are called to serve God in these dark times with all our unique giftedness, resources, and experience. For those of you who haven’t yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, but now recognize that we are living in the end times, the realization should act like an alarm clock buzzing you awake to the fact that the world doesn’t have much time left to it. We are all living on borrowed time. Therefore, embrace the fact that God loves the world so much that He gave His one and only Son and that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16). What caught my attention is that just five years ago, Fuller was sued for expelling a student who was in a same-sex marriage, so it made me wonder why they were now looking at accepting same-sex relationships. Expelled From Seminary The lawsuit came from an online student from Fort Worth, Texas, who began taking online classes through a Texas satellite campus in 2015. She says she was single when she started taking those classes but later married her female partner. A school administrator found out about her change in marital status through her 2016 tax return, which was included in her financial aid documentation. When the administration questioned her, she said that in 2018 she wrote a letter to the School of Theology dean. The response she received was the citing of the school’s policy on marriage, which Fuller stated biblical marriage is a “covenant union between one man and one woman.” Then, the school expelled her from the seminary. Church Acceptance That was November of 2019, and now in May of 2024, we see the headline that states Fuller Seminary is pondering changes that would make it more welcoming to LGBTQ students. One has to wonder what happened between 2019 and 2024? Maybe the answer comes from an April 2nd Harbinger’s Daily article that said 41% of churchgoers find no biblical problem with homosexual marriages. The article confirms that almost all of those who claim to hold to a biblical standard for marriage have now changed to holding a position of acceptance. Another Harbinger’s Daily article, this one from March 25, 2024, said more Americans (and Christians) now support same-sex marriage. The article sourced a recent Gallup polls that reported 71% of Americans think same-sex “marriage” should be legal, and 64% believe gay or lesbian relationships are morally acceptable. These numbers are double that of a generation ago! This means the general acceptance of supporting same-sex marriage is on the increase. United States Supreme Court It was Friday, June 26, 2015, when the United States Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage by a 5-4 decision. That decision was not expected to come down until Monday, June 29, but it happened on the Friday before. So, that Sunday, I remember speaking about it during church service. I knew that the church would never be the same again. I knew that the Supreme Court decision just divided the church. I knew that some on one side of the church aisle would be against the decision and others on the other side of the aisle would be okay with the ruling. With nine years of hindsight behind us, we see that as true. Surveys are showing each year the Christian population gravitates towards accepting same-sex marriage. World Magazine World Magazine published an article in 2024 about the history of the same-sex movement. The magazine highlighted a 1989 book by Marshall Kirk and advertising executive Hunter Madsen. In their book, they presented a game plan for the culture to accept same-sex relationships. They felt they could target certain churches to be a resource for helping society accept a lifestyle that had long been rejected. They wrote, “Find easy-to-manipulate churches, especially mainline Presbyterians, to get on board and help promote the idea that gays are victims.” That was the plan: “Find easy-to-manipulate churches… and promote the idea of gays being victims.” World Magazine traced the last twenty years of cultural acceptance of same-sex relationships. A Gallup Poll published in 2023 looked back at the previous twenty-six years and presented a graph explaining in 1996, just 27% of society supported legalizing same-sex marriages. In 2022, that number increased by 44% to an acceptance percentage of 71%. This means now 7 out of 10 Americans feel same-sex marriage should be accepted and valid. This research proves that we live in a culture where society relies on their opinion, not the Bible, to define what is biblically acceptable. Faithwire In response to the Gallup results, Faithwire looked into how this change in acceptance and accommodating same-sex marriage has affected the church. Remember, nine years ago, when the Supreme Court made same-sex marriage legal, I said the church would never be the same again. Faithwire’s efforts, conducted from February 13-25, 2024, revealed a notable rise in Americans who think religious beliefs are at odds with mainstream culture. Those results were not even close. 80% of Americans say the church’s influence is declining. Studies like the one done by Faithwire confirm that we are living in a time when hearts are turning hard against God. It seems we can remind people that we all have sinned. We all fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We can tell people that the wages of sin is death. Still, the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). We can repeat the encouraging words from James 5, “My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins” (James 5:19-20). God’s Warning God has been very clear in how He sees our actions. “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20). The Apostle Paul said very bluntly, “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness but instead expose them, for it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret” (Ephesians 5:11-12). The issue is that things are no longer done in secret; they are done out in the open. We can lean on Isaiah to bring some hope, “‘Come now, let us reason together,” says the Lord: ‘though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool’” (Isaiah 1:18). Pride Month I am not willing to accept sin and accommodate behavior that is disrespectful to God. However, I am not at the point where hope is lost. As we enter the month of June, our culture has decided to dedicate an entire month to gay pride. In April, we have Lesbian Visibility Day (April 26), and in July our culture celebrates International Drag Day (July 16). In October, our world recognizes National Coming Out Day (October 11), and recently, we have given November over to Trans Awareness Month. God will NOT be mocked! The final authority is God’s Word, not the desires and lifestyle of the culture. 71% of Americans may think same-sex “marriage” should be legal, and 64% may believe gay relationships are morally acceptable. Sadly, 41% of regular churchgoers do not have any biblical problems with homosexual marriages, and now Fuller Theological Seminary is looking at being more accommodating to that culture. And we wonder why 8 out of 10 Americans feel the church’s influence is declining. God will judge this world, but we’re still here, and we still have work to do. The Church is still called to be salt and light to a dark and dying world. We are not to openly accept sin—any sin. We are to offer hope and the truth of who Jesus is and what He has done. Nearing Midnight: How Much Longer Can It Be? – Jonathan Brentner - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ I have seen this picture several times on social media. I’m not sure if it’s real, photoshopped, or an image created by AI. The meme depicts a monkey walking toward a sleeping lion with a large stick in his hands. The clear implication is that once the primate hits the sleeping beast, it will not end well for him. This meme keeps coming to mind as I reflect on current events. Just like the monkey, the globalists are provoking dangerous beasts knowing that their actions will not end well for a great many people. What’s different is that they will initially prosper from the anarchy they cause. The question on my mind is this: How much longer can it be before the Lion of Judah responds in His wrath, wipes out the realm of the antichrist, and inaugurates His righteous rule upon the earth? I agree with Dr. David Reagan, who recently wrote that we are “living on borrowed time.” We do not know how much longer we must wait until the Lord appears and God’s wrath in the form of “sudden destruction” descends upon the world (1 Thessalonians 5:1-3), but what we see tells us it must be soon. World War III The picture of a monkey about to attack a sleeping lion came back to my mind when I recently came across a news item from Newsmax. Below is the first paragraph of the story: After gaining approval from the Biden administration, Ukraine reportedly used U.S. High-Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) to hit targets in the Russian city of Belgorod, 20 miles north of the Russia-Ukraine border in southern Russia. I dare not predict when, but I know this is not going to end well for America. Joe Biden, a true globalist, is doing all he can to provoke Russia into a full-scale war. Perhaps soon, the bear will respond to his constant provocation. The war in Ukraine is already a proxy conflict between NATO and Russia. Before I read the news of Biden’s approval for an attack on Russia with U.S. missiles, I was amazed that Russian President Vladimir Putin had not yet attacked NATO interests outside of the current battlefield. Now I realize it must be the Lord’s restraining hand that’s preventing the start of WWIII. The world is even now on the brink of the opening of the second seal and the release of the “pale horse,” which will bring war and conflict to the earth (Revelation 6:3-4). Perhaps soon, the constant threats from Russia to use nuclear weapons against NATO members will become a reality and lead to the massive death toll indicated in Revelation 6:8. Economic Devastation The third rider of the Apocalypse reveals a coming time of economic devastation upon the earth (Revelation 6:5-6). How much longer can it be before we see the dire conditions predicted in these verses? Painful inflation, layoffs, and business closings are already wreaking havoc throughout the U.S., but we have yet to experience the conditions described in Revelation 6. In America, we see a deliberate attempt to destroy the economy and bring financial ruin to all but the elite. The government is printing massive amounts of money as by some estimates, we are adding one trillion dollars to our debt burden every one hundred days. The open borders have allowed millions to enter our country in just the last few years, which is adding to the nation’s debt level, economic woes, and housing crisis that’s leaving multitudes homeless on our streets. Despite the financial turmoil that increases by the day, we remain earthbound, and the black horse remains in its stall. We hear it kicking, but we will be with Jesus in Heaven before this rider and horse bring widespread suffering to the world. Planned Food Shortages When goods such as food experience record soaring prices, such as will occur during the Tribulation, it signifies a shortage (the scarcity of a product combined with demand always drives up its price). Do we see the globalists provoking this outcome? Absolutely, we do. The draconian restrictions that they seek to impose on farming in the name of saving the planet will most assuredly result in the deaths of a great many people due to starvation and lead to dire food shortages in the future. The cost of meeting one’s daily need for nourishment will soar to unimaginable heights. If Not for the Lord These are just a few examples of where it seems that the Tribulation period should already have begun, but for the Lord’s hand holding back the appearance of the antichrist and the full implementation of his deadly agenda. How much longer can it be before He takes us up to glory and takes away the restraining work of the Holy Spirit? I seriously doubt that Putin’s patience accounts for delaying the start of WWIII. It could begin at any moment, but for the Lord’s power holding back the forces of evil and allowing more time for people to come to saving faith in Him. For several years, I’ve been amazed that the U.S. economy has not completely collapsed into oblivion. I can’t predict when this will occur, but I know it must be soon. For the past eighteen months, we have read warnings about imminent food shortages. However, for most people in the U.S., this has not yet materialized. Were the experts wrong? Or is it again the Lord somehow foiling the plans of the elite until the time is right? We would be terribly amiss not to see these things as evidence that the Rapture might happen in the near future. How much longer can the world leaders actively provoke events that strongly resemble the conditions described in Revelation 6:1-8? What they don’t know is that at the same time, they will unleash the fury of the Lion of Judah. Since we see much evidence of the Lord restraining judgments that cannot happen until after the Rapture, how much longer can it be until He brings us home to glory? Daily Jot: The American Chronicles: Museums in our lives - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com It has been suggested from time to time that our house is like a museum. We have a considerable amount of antiques. Most of them came to us as hand-me-downs from our family. There is an old spinning wheel that is from the colonial times. An organ that reportedly came over from Wales. Tables, chairs, trunks, dressers handed down from our ancestors over the some 400 years they have been in this country. I have a collection of old saddles from my dad and his dad. We have glassware. It sparks our interest in those odds and ends from a time gone by. And that’s why we like to visit antique shops in the towns along our travels. Brings back memories and identification with those who are no longer with us. Those places are often off the beaten trail, or hidden among the cities. One such place is the Depot at Gibson Mill in Concord, NC. It’s full of interesting relics from the past. Hidden treasures that people didn’t want anymore. Walking up to the Depot is a large Sinclair Oil Dino sign that was popular in the 1950s and beyond. This one had survived target practice of a not-so-accurate shooter. It looked as though the shooter got frustrated at not being able to hit the broad side of a brontosaurus, so he finally took a close range shot at what he thought was Dino’s heart. It reminded me of our trip out West through Wyoming in 1963, where we saw not only Dino in signs, but also in a real life likeness as a tourist attraction. Inside, there were rows and rows of various antiques and memorabilia. It was a trip down memory lane. Clocks and real metal toy tractors and trucks. A Quaker State Oil barrel and competing gas pumps from a Shell station—very similar to the ones we had at my dad’s oil delivery business by the farm. And I remember well pumping gas as a kid for the local farmers at, yes, 26 cents a gallon! And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the old Texaco Fire Chief brand—You may remember the slogan, “You can trust your car to the man who wears the star—the big, bright Texaco star!” That could have been a take away from the many gas stations out West who would offer to check your oil and use the opportunity to find (cause) a problem with your car that they needed to fix. Dad taught me to check my own oil. As we walked, Chris was in knick-knack heaven. Me, being a tightwad Welshman, didn’t want a shopping cart because I didn’t want to encourage bringing more stuff home in our RV. Eventually, I was defeated by the Belle of the Ball, a rabbit sugar container, a pair of English Staffordshire Spaniels, and various other treasures stuffed in her pockets and mine. At the checkout counter, the lady held back a knowing smile as we emptied out the endless menagerie being rang up at the feet of an antique cash register. And so it goes for the museums of our lives—both at home and on the road. The Proverb says, “There is desirable treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish man squanders it.” We must be pretty wise and ever growing in wisdom. Take the time to remember the good things that bring wisdom in your travels. And how can you tell whether someone really loves God? First, if we really love God, we will long for personal communion with Him. When you really love someone, you like to spend time with them. You enjoy their company and their companionship. In the same way, if you really love the Lord, then you’ll want to be in fellowship with Him. Second, a person who loves God will love the things that He loves. And we know what God loves by what He has said in His Word. The psalmist declared, “Oh, how I love your instructions!” (Psalm 119:97 NLT). Do you love the Word of God? Third, do you love hanging out with the people of God? God loves the church. Do you love lost people? God does. If you love the Lord, then you will long for fellowship with Him, and you will love what He loves. The flip side of that is if you love the Lord, then you will hate the things that He hates. That’s because His nature is becoming your nature. Psalm 97:10 says, “You who love the Lord, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked” (NLT). God hates sin, and we should, too. Fourth, if you love God, then you will love other Christians. The apostle John pointed out, “For if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?” (1 John 4:20 NLT). Our love for God isn’t real if we hate other Christians. And 1 John 3:14 says, “If we love our brothers and sisters who are believers, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead” (NLT). Fifth, if you really love God, then you will long for the return of Jesus Christ. Writing to Timothy, the apostle Paul said, “And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing” (2 Timothy 4:8 NLT). Do you love His appearing? Are you longing for the return of Jesus? A Christian who loves God will look forward to His return. Sixth, if you love God, then you will keep His commandments. Jesus said, “Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them” (John 14:21 NLT). The problem is that our actions don’t match our words. If we love God, then let’s keep His commandments. And if we are not willing to keep His commandments, then let’s stop talking about our love for God. The proof is in our actions, in what we do.
