A lot of people find the idea of a rapture, a snatching away of people to heaven without dying, very difficult to accept. It seems too strange and too bizarre to be true. “After all,” they say, “nothing like that’s ever happened before!” But that’s actually not true. It may surprise you to know that there has been a rapture before. In fact, there are several in Scripture. Six of these raptures have already occurred, historically foreshadowing and helping to shed some light on the final rapture still to come. So, what are these six previous raptures, and what do they tell us about the final rapture that’s to come? The rapture prior to the New Testament had not been clearly revealed. The Rapture in First Corinthians 15 is called “the mystery.” Now, “mystery” in the New Testament is not something spooky or hard to understand. It means a truth that’s never been revealed before. However, there are still three Old Testament rapture events that help serve as types, illustrations, foreshadows, previews, or patterns of the future rapture to come. The Rapture of Enoch The first is the rapture of Enoch. The first of these raptures involved a man named Enoch, who lived before the global flood. We find his story in Genesis chapter five. Now, I like to call Genesis chapter five “God’s obituary column.” Adam and Eve sinned, and they died spiritually and were separated from God, but they didn’t die physically until hundreds of years later. When you get to the fifth chapter of the book of Genesis, we begin to see the results of the fall. The words “and he died” appear eight times. It’s like a sad refrain. Adam died, Seth died, Enos died, Cainan died, Mahalaleel died, Jared died—but then suddenly and shockingly, in the midst of all this death and decay, there’s a striking change in Genesis 5:21-24: “And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.” Enoch walked with God for 300 years during the Dark Ages of the spiritual corruption before the flood, and then God took him directly to heaven without dying. To make certain there was no misunderstanding about what happened to Enoch, Hebrews 11:5 confirms Enoch’s rapture to heaven, saying, “By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death; and he was not found because God took him up; for he obtained the witness that before his being taken up he was pleasing to God.” There’s a little story I heard years ago. It’s kind of corny. It’s about a little child who heard the story about God and Enoch going on a walk. “Enoch loved to walk with God every day,” he reckoned. “They would go on these long walks fellowshiping together, and one day, they had walked so far that God turned to Enoch and said, ‘Enoch, we walked so far today. We’re closer to my house than we are to yours. Why don’t you just come home with me today?’“ Enoch is a powerful example of the importance of walking with God in difficult days, like those before the flood. We, too, need to walk with God in these days before the coming of Christ. Enoch also serves as a very graphic illustration of the suddenness of the rapture. He was there, and then a moment later, he was not there. The Bible tells us we will be taken up “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52). The Rapture of Elijah The second Rapture in Scripture is the Rapture of Elijah in the book of Second Kings. 2 Kings 2:1, 11 says, “And it came to pass, when the Lord would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal…. And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.” Elijah and Elisha are there together, walking along, and suddenly Elijah is caught up to heaven without dying. All Elisha could do was look on in amazement. The Rapture of Isaiah The third rapture in the Old Testament is the Rapture of Isaiah. Isaiah chapter six records God’s calling of the prophet Isaiah. He is caught up and sees God seated on His throne. Some think Isaiah saw God on the throne in the earthly Temple in Jerusalem, others that he just saw God in a vision, but many believe, myself included, that Isaiah experienced a rapture or catching up to heaven where he saw God on the throne in heaven. If this is a rapture, it is worth noting that he came back down to the earth, whereas Enoch and Elijah went up to heaven and stayed there. The Rapture of Philip There are four New Testament raptures. The first one is the Rapture of Philip. Philip was in the desert and comes across an Ethiopian eunuch who is reading Isaiah 53. He leads him to Christ, and in Acts 8:39-40, after he baptizes the eunuch, it says, “when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more. But Philip was found at Azotus…” The term “caught away” is the word “harpazo” in the Greek, and it’s used in the New Testament for the rapture. Notice, Philip is snapped and taken 20 miles away to a different place. Philip suddenly found himself at Azotus. Of all six of these raptures, Philip is the only person who, while physically Ratured, wasn’t taken to heaven. The Rapture of Paul The Rapture of Paul is one of the most incredible stories in the Bible. 2 Corinthians 12:2-4 Paul tells this story in his own words. He says, “I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up [harpazo] to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) How that he was caught up [harpazo] into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.” So twice here, Paul says he was “caught up.” He explained that he was raptured to “paradise,” which we know is heaven. The word “paradise” is only used two other times in the New Testament. First, when Jesus told the thief on the cross, “Today, you will be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:43). Second, in Revelation 2:7, when Jesus promised the overcomers at the church of Ephesus “I [will] give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.” Paul, at some point in his life, was caught up to heaven. That’s one of the reasons why I believe Paul loved the doctrine of the rapture so much. He had experienced a rapture and heard things he said were not permissible for a man to speak. Therefore, he couldn’t wait for all believers someday to be raptured to heaven as well. The Rapture of Jesus The next rapture that’s happened already is the Rapture of Jesus. Jesus was raptured to Heaven in Acts 1:9-11, ascending to Heaven when His earthly ministry was over. In Revelation 12:5, referring to that ascension, the word “harpazo” or rapture is used. Revelation 12 is speaking about the nation of Israel giving birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule the nations with a rod of iron. Israel’s child was caught up to God and to His throne—referring to Jesus. The Rapture Of The Church Those are six raptures that have already taken place, and they preview and foreshadow the one rapture that’s still to come—the rapture of the church. The only difference will be that the rapture of the church is going to be a corporate event rather than individual. What do the raptures which have taken place teach us about the one rapture still to come? First, if those first six raptures were literal events, we can expect that the future rapture will be literally fulfilled as well. It is not a symbolic event. Second, the rapture of the church will involve a physical transfer of people from one place to another, namely, from earth to heaven. The only rapture that didn’t involve a transfer from earth to heaven was the rapture of Philip, but it, too, was a relocation from one place to another. Finally, the rapture of the church will happen suddenly and instantaneously. Enoch was there, and then he was not. The same is true of all these other raptures as well. First Corinthians 15 tells us the rapture is going to happen “in a moment,” the word “atomos” in the Greek, which means something that can’t be divided any further, “in the twinkling of an eye.” An entire generation of believers will do an end run on the grave. That’s the great event, and that’s our hope in this increasingly dark world in which we live. That’s the event that we’re waiting for and looking for. Everyone knows that it is just a matter of time before global conflict turns our world upside down, and once that happens everything will change. If you think that economic conditions are bad now, just wait until war paralyzes global trade. If you think that global hunger is bad now, just wait until war absolutely devastates global food production. War will be one of the primary elements of the “perfect storm” that we are now facing, and it will have a dramatic impact on many of the other elements. The war that has erupted in the Middle East will be a year old in October, but what we have witnessed so far is just a walk in the park compared to what is coming. When an all-out war between Israel and Hezbollah begins, it will be a complete and utter nightmare. Sadly, Israeli officials are warning that we are getting very close to that point… Israeli officials warned that the country is on the “brink” of a full-scale war with Hezbollah if the terrorist group continues to increase its aggression in northern Israel. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) made the warning on Sunday, just a day before Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was set to meet with Amos Hochstein, a top aide to President Biden. Biden’s administration is pushing Israel to avoid a war in Lebanon, but IDF officials continue to highlight the outsized threat posed by Hezbollah compared to Hamas. “Hezbollah’s increasing aggression is bringing us to the brink of what could be a wider escalation,” an IDF spokesman warned Sunday. Vast numbers of Israelis were evacuated from their homes in northern Israel when Hezbollah started lobbing rockets over the border. They are very eager to return to their homes, but that won’t happen until the threat that Hezbollah poses has been neutralized. Unfortunately, in order to do that the IDF will need to go into southern Lebanon, and once that happens there will be all-out war. Hezbollah is sitting on a vast arsenal of highly sophisticated missiles that it can use to target Israeli cities, and we are being told that they possess “even more firepower than several European countries have today”… Hezbollah, however, is far more well-equipped and has more manpower. Their rockets and drone attacks have already forced over 100,000 Israelis to evacuate their homes in northern Israel. “Hezbollah is the crown jewel in the Iranian empire of terror and evil and is by far the most powerful Iranian proxy, equipped with nation state capabilities and even more firepower than several European countries have today,” former IDF spokesman Jonathan Conricus told Fox News. “In a military comparison, Hezbollah is far more powerful than Hamas,” he added. I am entirely convinced that we could be just months away from a worst case scenario in the Middle East. Meanwhile, the president of Poland is saying that the “decolonization” of Russia should be the end result of the war in Ukraine. Apparently, this would involve breaking up Russia into a number of much smaller ethnic states… Polish President Andrzej Duda has called for the “decolonization” of Russia, claiming that Russia’s many ethnic minorities should form their own states. Russia is one of the most diverse countries in the world and comprises over 190 ethnic groups that speak more than 270 languages and dialects, according to the government. Speaking at the so-called “Peace for Ukraine” conference in Switzerland on Sunday, Duda described Russia as a “prison of nations.” The country is “home to almost 200 ethnic groups,” which “became the residents of Russia as a result of methods used in Ukraine today,” the Polish leader claimed, referring to the conflict between Moscow and Kiev. This sort of talk is extremely dangerous, because it just confirms Russian fears that they are locked in an existential conflict with western powers. The Russians have warned us over and over again that they will use nuclear weapons if the very existence of their nation is threatened, but our leaders just keep brushing off such threats. In fact, just last week Vladimir Putin once again publicly discussed the possibility of nuclear war… Speaking to foreign ministry officials, the Kremlin leader said: ‘Calls to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, which possesses the largest arsenal of nuclear weapons demonstrate the extreme recklessness of Western politicians. ‘They either do not understand the scale of the threat they are creating – or are simply obsessed with their own sense of impunity and exceptionalism. ‘Both can lead to tragedy.’ The Russians have been preparing to fight a nuclear war for many years. Most Americans do not realize this, but their missile systems and anti-missile systems are both far superior to our own. This is something that I have documented extensively for my readers. Western leaders are finally starting to realize that they need to get serious, and the head of NATO has stated that there are discussions about “taking missiles out of storage and placing them on standby”… Nato is in talks to deploy more nuclear weapons in the face of a growing threat from Russia and China, the head of the alliance has said. Jens Stoltenberg added that the bloc must show its nuclear arsenal to the world to send a direct message to its foes in an interview with The Telegraph. He revealed there were live consultations between members on taking missiles out of storage and placing them on standby as he called for transparency to be used as a deterrent. I wish that leaders on both sides would get serious about peace, but it doesn’t appear that is going to happen. A major war with China could soon erupt as well. The Biden administration has been provoking China over and over again, and it is being reported that Chinese President Xi Jinping just told Ursula von der Leyen that Biden and his minions have been attempting to “goad Beijing into attacking Taiwan”… China’s President Xi Jinping told European Commission head Ursula von der Leyen that the United States was trying to “goad Beijing into attacking Taiwan,” according to officials aware of the exchange, which took place a little over a year ago but is just now being revealed. Xi has also been warning his own officials, at a moment tensions are high across the Taiwan Strait particularly given Beijing sees newly inaugurated Taiwan President Lai Ching-te as a pro-independence hawk. “Xi issued the warning in a meeting with von der Leyen in April 2023 that was described to the Financial Times by several people,” according to a weekend report in FT. “He said the US was trying to trick China into invading Taiwan, but that he would not take the bait. Another person said he had issued similar warnings to his officials.” Of course let us not forget that Chinese President Xi Jinping isn’t exactly an innocent party here. Late last year, he told Joe Biden to his face that one way or another he will “reunify” Taiwan with China… Chinese President Xi Jinping bluntly told President Joe Biden during their recent summit in San Francisco that Beijing will reunify Taiwan with mainland China but that the timing has not yet been decided, according to three current and former U.S. officials. Xi told Biden in a group meeting attended by a dozen American and Chinese officials that China’s preference is to take Taiwan peacefully, not by force, the officials said. The Chinese leader also referenced public predictions by U.S. military leaders who say that Xi plans to take Taiwan in 2025 or 2027, telling Biden that they were wrong because he has not set a time frame, according to the two current and one former official briefed on the meeting. Taiwan will never, ever “reunify” with China peacefully. So war is coming, and it will be horrible. Before I end this article, I also wanted to mention that North Korea’s nuclear arsenal got quite a bit larger during the past year… North Korea is believed to possess 50 nuclear weapons – 20 more than in the past year, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) revealed in its annual report published on Monday on global militaries. SIPRI’s “Yearbook 2024 Armaments, Disarmament and International Security” report assesses the known arsenals of nuclear states as well as global military development. It once again found that the vast majority of known nuclear weapons are in the possession of America and Russia, but that communist China is making significant efforts to expand and modernize its own arsenal. Notably, the report documented “the first time China is believed to have some warheads on high operational alert” in 2024. And we are being told that the North Koreans have supplied millions of artillery shells to the Russians… North Korea has recently sent containers to Russia that could hold as many as 4.8 million artillery shells, South Korean Defense Minister Shin Won-sik said in an interview with Bloomberg published on June 14th. Seoul spotted at least 10,000 containers being shipped from North Korea to Russia, according to Won-sik. Pyongyang has also sent dozens of ballistic missiles that Moscow troops have launched against Ukraine. To put this in perspective, the US has sent only 300,000 artillery shells to Ukraine (most of them maintained since the 1980s in a reserve stockpile meant for Israel) and is straining to meet a manufacturing quota of 100,000 shells per month by 2025. The disparity between the production of armaments between NATO and Russia (and its allies) has proven to be immense. From artillery to armor to ammunition, NATO simply cannot keep up. Those numbers are simply embarrassing. One of the reasons why we won World War II is because we simply outproduced everyone else. Now we are being outproduced by the North Koreans. As we move deeper into this new era of global war, it is just a matter of time before American boys and girls are sent to die. If you doubt this, just check out what the House of Representatives did on Friday… The House of Representatives passed a measure on Friday automatically registering men aged 18 to 26 for selective service. It was part of the annual National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which sets out the U.S. government’s military and national security priorities over the next fiscal year. If they want war, I would like to see them send their own sons and their own daughters. Of course World War III won’t just be fought on the other side of the planet. It is spiritual health I refer by the use of the article’s title, not physical health. That said, I state without reservation that there’s a growing insanity in this nation and world. It is hereditary in nature–rather, I should say, it is hereditary in the supernatural sense. The loss of normal sensibility becomes more apparent with each news cycle. The cause of the insane condition is as ancient as the time of the first humans. Adam and Eve suffered the beginning of the spiritual mentality breakdown the moment Eve fell victim to Lucifer’s lies and Adam to his own choice to disobey God’s commandment not to eat of the fruit of the forbidden tree. All of their progeny have the infection God calls sin. The gene that causes the insanity affects each and every one of us until the cure is accepted. We must receive that cure voluntarily, as surely as our human father Adam voluntarily received the deadly gene when he disobeyed his Creator’s warning. The cure is, of course, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and His sacrifice on the cross at Calvary. He died for the sin of humankind and resurrected to life so that all who believe this truth and accept Jesus’ cleansing blood are instantaneously healed of all unrighteousness–forever. However—it’s sad to have to say—the vast majority of humanity throughout the ages have not accepted God’s cure—His belief system for salvation. Thus humanity remains untreated. And now, at this late prophetic hour, the spiritual insanity is manifesting in ways that cannot be missed. One recent article makes the point. In 2016, Ash Williams became pregnant for the first time. Williams wants to be a parent eventually — but he wasn’t ready for a child then. He didn’t know much about what an abortion entailed, and he needed a ride, so he called up a friend who drove him. When they got to the clinic, Williams, who is trans, remembers the people working there didn’t care enough to get his name right — using, instead, the name on his license. Never mind asking about pronouns. “Working with the actual provider was really [expletive deleted] up, too,” he says. “I just remember he didn’t say one word to me, and I felt sad about that.” It’s all there, isn’t it? In a single paragraph, we have all of the most insane and insidious progressive views on display. There’s the fiction of the “pregnant man.” There’s the “pregnant man” getting an abortion — that is, a gender-dysphoric female having her child killed by an abortionist. There’s the fact that the abortion clinic staff is faulted not for facilitating feticide but for paying insufficient attention to pronouns… It’s a potent, eye-watering ending to a profile that manages to showcase everything wrong with our culture in 2024. “Pregnant men.” “Abortion showers.” For that matter, “abortion doulas.” Celebrating someone for an abortion (“Congratulations — it’s dead!”) People “deserve” abortion. It reminds me of a line from Proverbs 8: “All those who hate Me love death.” (“‘Pregnant man’” becomes ‘abortion doula’ to assist others who want to kill their babies,” LifeSite, Jonathon Van Maren, 6/5/24) When considering such as reported here, one’s end-times thinking might go to Paul’s 2 Timothy chapter 3 “perilous times” prophecy: “In the last days…they will be without natural affection…”. Certainly nothing is more natural than a man being a man and a woman being a woman, unless it is a woman having a baby and wanting only to love and nurture that little one. Yet, today, a broad swath of humanity prefers the murder of millions and millions of babies in the wombs of their mothers–even up to the moment of birth, and in some cases, just beyond the actual birth. For example, in listening to the Chris Plante Show one morning recently, I heard him report on those protesting at an abortion clinic who were arrested for blocking a young woman from going into the clinic. Whether they actually did so or not, I don’t know, but the story told was that the young woman was on the floor in the last stage of giving birth. She was in heavy labor. She was going to the clinic for an abortion. The pro-abortionist prosecutors were charging the pro-life protesters with interfering with the birth of the young woman’s child (thus charged even though she was trying to get into the clinic to have her child murdered). Is there any doubt, upon hearing report after report of such craziness, that the insanity gene inhabits humankind? We consider again God’s Word on that insanity gene, its cause and effect: And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient…” (Romans 1:28) There is forgiveness for the heinous sins of abortion and homosexuality, as well as all other anti-godliness. Here is the cure for the insanity gene that rules the reprobate mind. It will cleanse and change all into the mind-likeness of Christ, which saves the soul and makes any person acceptable for dwelling with God in Heaven for eternity. That if you will confess with your mouth the lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Is planet Earth genuinely on a collision course with catastrophic man-made climate change, or is this another issue that requires critical and Biblical examination? In an interview with David Fiorazo on “Worldview Matters,” Answers In Genesis Founder and CEO Ken Ham revealed that climate change science is rooted in more bias and corruption than many realize. “Back in the 70s, I started dealing with the creation-evolution issue in a big way. It’s really a battle to understand the difference between observational science, what you actually observe, and historical science, your beliefs and interpretations about the past when you weren’t there,” Ham stated. “Observational science is one thing. That’s the science that builds our technology. But when it comes to historical science—beliefs about the past—I want people to understand, dealing with climate change is exactly the same.” Ham highlighted that record-keeping for carbon dioxide levels goes back only 70 years and “accurate” temperature measurements a mere 40 years. “These computer models are all based on evolutionary assumptions,” he underscored, “and if those evolutionary assumptions are not true, their computer models are certainly not true.” The information the scientists are putting out, Ham noted, are actually contradictory to observational science. For example, “When it comes to carbon dioxide, they say [burning] oil and gas is increasing the temperature in the atmosphere. Actually, true observational science shows that when the temperature in the atmosphere increases, carbon dioxide levels decrease, and when the temperature decreases, carbon dioxide levels increase. So it’s totally different to what they’re saying.” Furthermore, while carbon dioxide is painted in a villainous light, Ham stressed that it is “not a pollutant.” “[Carbon dioxide] is a very important gas, and it only consists of 0.4% of our atmospheric gasses. Think about that. It’s only 0.4%. It’s a very, very small gas,” he stated, adding that there is “no proof at all human emissions are the driving force for environmental changes or climate changes.” Similar to creation scientists, numerous experts in the field have been shunned by the scientific community and censored for contradicting claims of man-made climate change. “They get all the media publicity. But you know, it’s been the same with the whole creation-evolution issue. Creationists don’t get good coverage in the media, but evolution is pushed and assumed, and people are brainwashed to believe it’s true,” Ham emphasized. Harbinger’s Daily previously reported on Greg Wrightstone, a geologist and climate expert, who was banned from LinkedIn for questioning the climate narrative. “I posted very interesting and very scientific charts and facts on temperature data through time, [carbon dioxide’s] relationship with temperature to show that throughout geologic time, CO2 really hasn’t been the control knob of the Earth’s climate,” Wrightstone explained. “We’re dangerous. They cannot allow our factually-based presentations to get out to the public, because what we say makes sense and it’s backed up by science.” “We’re rational, thoughtful people that are scientists—that are distinguished scientists—and we’re presenting this information,” he continued, adding that people “are being lied to on a daily basis about climate change and its ramifications.” The Religion Of Climate Alarmism If solid scientific research is not the driving force behind the claims of “climate change,” what is? According to Ken Ham, examining the evidence shows that “there’s something else going on here.” “What’s going on here is the fact that the climate change movement is a religion. It’s an anti-God religion based on evolutionary assumptions. It’s a religion where man believes he will save himself and save the planet. And it’s a religion that creates fear,” he warned “Worldview Matters” listeners. “The modern climate change movement is a religion that worships man and worships the creation, and basically sees man as a blight upon the earth,” Ham described. “They let the creation have dominion over man. Their whole worldview is wrong, their interpretation of the evidence is wrong, and it’s going to have bad consequences for us.” Power-Driven False Prophets The fear-based climate religion also has a whole host of “false prophets.” “Al Gore was featured in a documentary in 2006 called Inconvenient Truth. He’s a false prophet. None of his prophecies came true. He’s prophesying again today,” Ham asserted. “Why should people even believe him?” “Man is not going to destroy the Earth. The Doomsday Clock is just not true. And again, it’s meant to create fear,” he stressed. “It all comes back to people who want control—people who want power.” “John Kerry is another false prophet,” Ham continued. “When John Kerry came back from the World Economic Forum, and this was a year or so ago, he said [that] there is an elite group of people that are going to save mankind and going to save the planet. In other words, he is saying that man is his own savior. Man is his own god, and there’s an elite group of people who are going to control everything so that they can control you. That’s really what it’s all about.” A Symptom Of Man’s Rebellion Through the Bible, we can plainly see that the claims of climate change run in direct contradiction to God. Primarily, we know that God has given man dominion over creation (Genesis 1:26) and are assured that the future God has foretold regarding planet Earth does not include destruction by man-made climate catastrophe (2 Peter 3:7, Revelation 21:1). “The climate change movement is just another symptom of man in his rebellion against God, Ham said. “That’s really what’s happening here.” “When you read Romans 1, what happens when man worships the creation instead of the Creator?” he asked. “He turns them over to foolish things, and he turns them over to perverse ways. A lot of what’s being said in regard to the climate change agenda is foolishness.” “People need to get the truth on this. Once [individuals] realize they don’t have the data, it’s all interpreted based on evolutionary assumptions, they realize how much they’ve been brainwashed and manipulated,” he urged. “When you believe God’s word, that’s when you understand the truth.” “It’s a worldview battle at a foundational level,” Ham underscored. “It’s really a [spiritual] battle between God’s Word and man’s word.” Daily Jot: Two plus two equals more meddling - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com On June 6, The Daily Jot reported that Joe Biden may be scheming to oust Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Curious that on June 10, 2024, Benny Gantz resigned from Israel’s five-member war cabinet, saying that Netanyahu was preventing Israel from achieving a true victory. Gantz takes with him his National Unity party, which was part of Israel’s emergency wartime government. This includes Gadi Eisenkot, a member National Unity and also on the war cabinet. Gantz pulling out of the Israeli government during this crucial time not only poses additional political unrest for Netanyahu’s slim majority government, but may also cast some light on Biden Administration influence to oust Netanyahu. On May 20, Joe Biden’s National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby told reporters National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan was in Israel and “He had chance to meet with the leader of the opposition, Yair Lapid, as well as the Minister of Defense, Mr. Gallant, and a couple of members of the Israeli war cabinet to include Benny Gantz…The purpose there was to talk, obviously, about the situation in Gaza and U.S. support–continued support for Israel in the face of the various threats that they’re under. And, again, there was a broad range of discussions here to include humanitarian assistance and making sure we can increase that flow, get it more sustained, as well as doing everything that they can to reassure and make comfortable humanitarian aid workers as that aid starts to get in.” Key words: “meet with the leader of the opposition.” Kirby went on to discuss how Sullivan “was sort of building out on this strategic consultative group format” and cited it as an example of “Israeli willingness to continue to hear us out on our concerns…” The White House read out of Sullivan’s meeting with “the opposition” stated: “Minister Gallant and General Halevi briefed Mr. Sullivan on new alternative approaches to defeating Hamas in Rafah to address the concerns that have been expressed by the U.S. side through the Strategic Consultative Group process. The two sides agreed to continue discussions.” Kirby didn’t mention that Sullivan met the previous day with Netanyahu and members of his government and “reiterated the President’s longstanding position on Rafah.” The Netanyahu meeting is reiteration of a position, the meeting with opposition is alternatives to the current status. It’s no secret that Biden and Netanyahu have publicly disagreed on the war on terror against Hamas. Biden has done what he can to frustrate Israeli war plans by demanding a ceasefire, withholding munitions, negotiating with Hamas behind Israel’s back, and trying once again to force a two-state solution on Israel. In response, Netanyahu said in a May 10 interview on the Dr. Phil show, “We will do what we have to do to protect our country, protect our future…If Israel has to stand alone, we will stand alone.” It appears Biden is trying to isolate Netanyahu. 2 Timothy 3:13 says, “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” Putting two and two together and we can see the fruits of intentional meddling. He had a coworker named Dwight with whom he wanted to share the gospel, but he was very reluctant to do so. Finally, he mustered up the courage, went to Dwight, and told him about his faith in Jesus Christ. And Dwight, much to Edward’s delight, put his faith in Jesus Christ that day. Dwight’s last name was Moody, and you might say that he went from selling soles to saving souls. Dwight L. Moody went on to preach around the world, and on one occasion a pastor named Frederick D. Meyer felt deeply stirred. As a result, he went into a nationwide preaching ministry. It was through his ministry that a college student named Wilbur Chapman accepted Christ, and Chapman became an evangelist. Chapman employed a young baseball player named Billy Sunday to help him, and Sunday went on to become the premier evangelist of his day. He was asked to preach in Charlotte, North Carolina, which he did. Sunday was very well-received there and was invited to return. However, Sunday had a conflict in his schedule, so a relatively unknown evangelist named Mordecai Ham came to speak instead. And on one of the final nights of the event, a lanky farm boy made his way up the aisle in response to the invitation to receive Christ. Everyone knew him simply as Billy Frank. But we know him today as Billy Graham. Kimble reached Moody, who touched Meyer, who reached Chapman, who helped Sunday, who reached businessmen in Charlotte. They invited Mordecai Ham to speak, who ultimately reached Billy Graham. Maybe God won’t use you to bring a lot of people into His kingdom. Maybe you ultimately will reach a few people in your lifetime while others reach many more. Perhaps you feel that you’re somewhat of a failure in your evangelism efforts. But the story isn’t over yet, is it? What if one of the people you reached was the next Billy Graham? What if one of the people you reached then reaches someone else? And maybe one hundred years from now, someone whose ministry is changing the world can trace their story back to your faithful efforts in approaching just one person. Every effort matters. We all have a part to play. Maybe you’re a Kimble, or maybe you’re a Moody. Just don’t allow your life to amount to zero because you did nothing with what God gave you. The truth that God has given us was not designed to be hoarded; it was designed to be shared. God has blessed you to be a blessing to others. And if you only take in and don’t give out, you are running the risk of spiritual stagnation. You have a choice before you: evangelize or fossilize. We are to take the truths of God’s Word and share them with others. Maybe you’re thinking, “Well, I just don’t know all that much.” God can do a lot with a little.
