Many people are just having a good old time as if they didn’t have a care in the world, and meanwhile, global leaders on all sides are dragging us to the brink of destruction. There is a great article (https://www.raptureready.com/tribulation/ ) on Rapture Ready by Dr. Thomas Ice, Dr. Harold Wilmington, and Terry James that lists 12 titles of the Tribulation Period. Here are just 5: The Indignation; Day of God’s Vengeance; The Time of Trouble Such as Never Was; The Great Day of His Wrath; and The Hour of His Judgment. Just a few undeniable signs that this time of God’s judgment is approaching are:

The thing that triggered this article is Michael Snyder’s statement that “Many people are just having a good old time as if they didn’t have a care in the world, and meanwhile, global leaders on all sides are dragging us to the brink of destruction.” Snyder didn’t say it, but it sounded like something Jesus said: But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be (Matt. 24:37-38). Before the Great Flood, Enoch (who was Raptured; Gen. 5:24) named his son Methuselah, which some scholars say means, “When he is dead, it (the Great Flood) shall be sent.” As Enoch was nearing the end of his life (969 years), immorality and wickedness was great on Earth, Enoch’s grandson Noah was building a great Ark, and he was warning people to repent because a Great Flood was coming. The people ignored the Rapture of Enoch, Noah’s great Ark, and his prophetic warnings. They lived their lives as though God didn’t exist and nothing bad would happen. Jesus was saying when the Tribulation Period is approaching, immorality and wickedness will be great on Earth; most of society will ignore the Rapture, the signs, the prophetic warnings, and live their lives as though God doesn’t exist and nothing bad is going to happen. To most of society, the judgment of God will be unthinkable, and they will not prepare. Sadly, it is unthinkable to many in the Church and many behind the pulpit, too. When prophecy is mentioned to some pastors and Church members, they say, “I have heard that all my life. Nothing has changed.” It is unthinkable that some believe nothing has changed, but they say it. We are not living in the same world we lived in 10-20 years ago. Here are recent current events that seem to indicate the unthinkable is close: One, concerning wars and rumors of wars at the end of the age: on June 26, 2024, Israel’s President Herzog said, The international community cannot act surprised if the situation (between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon) spirals out of control, as the international community has almost done nothing to contribute to the full security of the residents of Israel despite repeated violations of treaties and international agreements from Lebanon by Hezbollah. Two, concerning wars and rumors of wars: on June 28, 2024, it was reported that Israeli citizens have been preparing for an Israeli war with Hezbollah in Lebanon for months. The CEO of a large store that sells tactical and outdoor equipment said:
Three, concerning wars and rumors of wars: on June 28, 2024, following Hezbollah rocket and drone attacks on Israel, Israeli jets conducted waves of attacks on several Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon. (More: On June 29, 2024, the U.S. and Europe warned Hezbollah to ease up on attacking Israel and to back off to avoid a war with Israel. They believe Hezbollah is powerful but overconfident and unable to prevail over the power of Israel.) (More: On July 2, 2024, Lebanon notified Israel through a third-party message that it does not want a war with Israel. Israel responded, “We need to return our residents to their homes; if it is not through a diplomatic solution, it will be through war.” (My comment: No matter how powerful Hezbollah is and who helps them, they are unable to prevail over the power of Israel’s God.) Four, concerning wars and rumors of wars at the end of the age: on June 28, 2024, following Ukraine’s use of U.S.-supplied weapons that killed 4 Russians and about 150 others in Crimea, Russia summoned America’s ambassador to Russia and informed her that Russia and the U.S. are no longer at peace with each other. It was not a declaration of war, but it clearly signals a bad turn in the relationship between Russia and the U.S. Five, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog in the latter days and latter years: on June 26, 2024, it was reported that Russia and Iran are in the final stages of a “big” treaty (comprehensive bilateral cooperation agreement) that will reflect an unprecedented upswing in their relationship. This “big” treaty will strengthen their political, trade, and military relationship. Six, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog: on June 27, 2024, it was reported that Israel has been practicing long-distance flights and operations for military activity in distant locations, including refueling aircraft and transporting planes and additional military units in case they need to strike Iran.
(More: Iran is trying to overthrow the government of Jordan – a Psa. 83 nation – to make this an eight-front war. But, even if Iran doesn’t succeed in toppling the king of Jordan, there are terrorist groups in Jordan that are operating against Israel.) Seven, concerning the fact that Israel cannot be defeated: on June 27, 2024, Bible prophecy expert Amir Tsarfati wrote: Things are escalating in the north. Yes, we have political turmoil. Yes, my region of the world is chaotic. However, none of these realities change the fact that the promises of God are sure. God initiated my blessed country through Abraham. He rescued it through Moses. He restored it through Joshua. He preserved it through David. He rebirthed it from the ashes of the Holocaust, and He’s going to do an amazing work in my people in the future, just as He promised through the prophets and New Testament authors. Eight, concerning deceit and animosity toward Israel: on June 30, 2024, the chair of the U.S. Foreign Affairs Committee (Michael McCaul) said the Biden administration has held up the transfer of 7 weapons systems to Israel. Iran has significantly increased its shipments of weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Biden is delaying the shipment of weapons to Israel. (My opinion: With God on Israel’s side, Israel will win with or without the U.S. Denying the weapons systems could mean that Israel will use bigger and more destructive weapons.) Nine, concerning world government: last week, I reported that Klaus Schwab said this at the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Dalian, China on June 25, 2024: To drive future economic growth, we must embrace innovation and force the collaboration across sectors, regions, nations, and cultures to create a more peaceful, inclusive, sustainable, and resilient future. I specifically urged readers to notice that Schwab wants to: Force all regions, nations, and cultures to collaborate with the agenda of unelected globalists. This week (on July 1, 2024), it was reported that UN Sec. Gen. Guterres wants the UN to adopt a set of Global Principles for Information Integrity that will allow nations to: Take immediate action to address the harm caused by misinformation, disinformation, and hate speech. In my words, Guterres wants to monitor the media, online platforms, individuals, and others to silence all opposition to the globalist agenda (silence all opposition to the globalist desired New World Order, one-world religion, tracking all buying and selling, the gay agenda, Covid-19 jabs, to what they want citizens to eat, etc.). (More: On July 1, 2024, Keisha Bottoms, a senior advisor for Biden’s presidential campaign, criticized The Atlantic Journal-Constitution – Georgia’s largest newspaper – for election interference, for criticizing debate performance.) (More: When it was established that the Biden administration was conspiring with liberal social media networks – YouTube, Facebook, etc. – to censor users, Texas and Florida passed laws to prevent the censorship from happening. The networks sued to have the laws struck down. On July 1, 2024, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to strike them down.) (My opinion: Removing all opposition to a godless satanic world government will result in the rise of an evil government and the most disastrous 7 years of human history.) Ten, concerning natural disasters increasing in frequency and intensity at the end of the age: on July 2, 2024, it was reported that the development of a Category 5 hurricane on or before July 4 is unprecedented, but Hurricane Beryl has appeared and broken the record for earliest Category 5 hurricanes by 15 days. Brian McNoldy, a hurricane expert at the Univ. of Miami, said, “This storm continues to break records, ravage the Caribbean region, and stun scientists like me.” Citizens in Mexico and on the western U.S. Gulf Coast need to monitor this record-breaking storm. Ruling parties from South Korea to Senegal have suffered recent defeats.” In just the last few days there have been increasing calls for the resignation of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. In Iran, where choices are greatly limited, people just elected the most reformist candidate available to them. The world over, people want change. Then there is the United States. Here, the incumbent president faces a growing rebellion among leaders of his own party. Some have openly questioned his competence to run for reelection. That raises a devastating question. If the most powerful man on earth is incompetent to run for office, then how can he be competent to currently serve in that office? Perception matters. 74% of voters think Mr. Biden is too old. That raises the question of fitness to a point of crisis. If world leaders or terror groups see him as “too old,” “unfit,” or “weak,” it puts the whole world in peril. President Biden recently told George Stephanopoulos, “I don’t think anybody’s more qualified to be President or win this race than me.” But at some point, right or wrong, perception itself can be disqualifying. Israel is not exempt from the growing global chaos. Historically, a war tends to unite a nation behind its leaders. But in Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu faces unprecedented levels of criticism across the political spectrum. Either he’s prosecuting the war with too much vigor or not enough. Every peace plan is a political minefield, but so is every plan to continue the war. In recent weeks, the military has publicly disagreed with the Prime Minister’s war aims. Israel’s Supreme Court ruled in June that ultra-Orthodox Jews are not exempt from military service. The resulting tumult threatens to wreck Netanyahu’s governing coalition. That’s only part of the internal mayhem confronting the present Israeli government. External pressures are even worse. The book of Daniel says that the seven years of tribulation will begin when Israel confirms a treaty with Antichrist. Of course, he won’t go by the name Antichrist. He will seem to be a great peacemaker. And Israel, like the rest of the world, will be in distress. I believe the present wave of global desperation will grow to a point of global anguish. And that anguish will call forth the most terrible villain of human history. But remember. If you are a follower of Jesus, you’re not looking for Antichrist. You’re looking for the real Christ. The last Prophecy Watchers meetings I attended started on October 7, 2023, with a profound prophetic stage-setting event. On that date, of course, Israel was attacked in a brutal way by Hamas, the chief terrorist organization headquartered in the Gaza. As many as 1,400 Israelis and others were literally butchered in the most horrendous way imaginable. The details are too grisly to write of here; I’m sure many of you have seen reports of that blood-drenched attack and the satanic wickedness that took place. Those of us who were at that 2023 Norman, Oklahoma, conference talked among ourselves about it being significant that the attack took place at the moment we were opening the meetings. I continue to believe it was prophetically consequential, not coincidental, that Hamas attacked on that celebratory get-together in Israel. It was at that conference that this heinous attack could be properly understood, and thus it was during the series of lectures. And make no mistake that the attack has proven monumental in terms of setting the stage for things to come–looking toward the Tribulation era, Daniel’s seventieth week. There should be no doubt the attack has opened the doors of worldwide hatred for the nation and the Jewish people. By that, I mean Zechariah 12 has suddenly and full-in-our-faces been made manifest. The entire world seems to have taken up anti-Semitic rage. Many young people in every major university in America, and those around much of the world, now chant the same hate-filled mantra: “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” Hundreds of studies have documented the genocide perpetrated by the Nazis, and thousands books and documentaries have been written and produced telling of that Holocaust. Yet in one day, when Hamas attacked, the demonic portal seemed to be opened that again unleashed the genocidal demons across the world. Hatred for God’s chosen people and nation is on the rise to levels not thought possible just a decade or two previously. The Jews are blamed for defending themselves against these vicious hordes from Hell. Israel and the Jews are to blame for their “occupation” of “Palestine”—a state that doesn’t exist. This matter at this late date of the Age of Grace is profound. It forewarns of development toward the time Jesus Himself said would be the worst of all human history (Matthew 24:21). It is readying the world of rebellious humankind and God’s chosen people for the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7). And I believe, like in the case of the Norman conference of October 7, 2023, that it is not coincidental, but extremely consequential, that a profound validation of the proof of God’s prophetic Word was manifested at the time of this Colorado Springs Prophecy Watchers conference I’m currently attending. The wickedness that foists evil against all of God’s truth was dealt a blow of heavenly resistance in the presidential debate of Thursday night, June 27, 2024. I am not being political in pronouncing my findings. All politics are corrupted by human incorrigibility—of fallen humanity’s rebellion against God. I’m not promoting one political party over another. But I am trying to say the party most responsible for foisting the wickedness and evil on America and the world was in the spotlight when the cognitively dysfunctional leader of the free world was there for all to see. To me, it was total validation of God’s Word on those who turn their back on God—who rebel against His governance. They are turned over to a reprobate mind–that is, they are given over to doing things that are upside down from rational thought and action. Can we think anything other is true of the so-called woke mindset and the sheer lunacy we’ve witnessed in recent weeks, months, and years? Again, to me, God’s Holy Word of prophecy is validated beyond any doubt by the upside-down belief system of wokeness being exposed for all to see on worldwide TV through the often not-understandable thinking processes demonstrated by the person who has been designated leader of the so-called progressives and leader of the free world. God expressed in the most holy, caustic terms His disapproval of those who come against His divine order and His Son Jesus Christ. Here is what the psalmist says in the matter: Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. (Psalm 2:1–5) To have this display of God’s derision on the reprobate “wokeness” just as our prophecy conference was beginning is, to me, nothing less than consequential to unfolding prophecy. God the Holy Spirit is still restraining evil in a mighty way. He is holding back the beginning of World War III, while the Ephesians 6:12 minions are doing all within their power to ignite the unleashing of nuclear conflict. This cannot happen until all of God’s family on earth is called to be with Jesus Christ in the clouds of Glory. Don’t miss that call. (Romans 10:9–10) The Last Election? – Pete Garcia - https://www.rev310.net/post/the-last-election I know a lot of us who are watching and waiting for the Lord to return, are also keeping an eye on the elections this year as being a big indicator as to how soon things might be speeding up towards that Blessed Hope. I think the crowd is about 60-40 on who thinks we won't even have an actual election (or selection if you prefer), and all of this is predicated on "something" happening. Well, I want to look at the possible "something" and see what is most likely given what we know at the moment. Let me also add before we get started a couple of things since this is a sensitive topic for many people. First, I'm not saying Trump is the solution to what ails America. We know what Scripture says and we know where Scripture says the world is heading. Secondly, if the Rapture is still years to decades off, (unlikely) but theoretically, let's say that it is years away. Which administration would you prefer to live under? Remember, it's not "politics," it's "policy." Whose policies would you rather live under? One that is demonstrably antichristian? AntiIsrael? AntiGod? Or one that isn't? Truth be told, I'm a monarchist waiting on Jesus to return. But if I had my druthers, I'd prefer serving the Lord under a Trump Administration than a fourth Obama term. I'm not omniscient so I'd like to predicate this entire discussion with the idea that there are limitless possibilities that could happen, and I'm only listing a handful, in part due to time constraints as well as my inability to see into the future. However, just thinking through some things, I've boiled it down to about four different scenarios, with three major branches. Before we begin, let's just talk about the reality of life in the United States in 2024. The Real Numbers If you look at the current stats, they all say that inflation is around 3-4%. Sure doesn't feel that way, does it? I mean, compare your same grocery list from last year (or pick a previous year) to today and you can gauge for yourself the increase (or decrease in purchasing power). I believe the real inflation rate is more like 15% when you take into account the increased cost in goods and services as well as the decreased purchasing power of the US $. The National Debt Currently, the national debt clock is checking in at $34,874, XXX, XXX, XXX (X means it's spinning too fast to count). But if we were to add in the real national debt, that means including all the unfunded liabilities forecast to be paid out as well, we are really looking at a national debt in the neighborhood of $100T + so in reality, the national debt is at a minimum, $134T. The Replacement? The 2024 debate was a disaster for Joe Biden. As one tweeter tweeted (or X'd?), was that the open-mouth, wide-eyed non-blinking stare of the current Commander in Chief, was more akin to him staring into the afterlife rather than staring down his opponent. The post-debate polls were not kind to ol Sleepy Joe, and while it varies from poll to poll, almost all of them have him trailing to Trump with margins between ouch to wow. Most of the polls have him in the high 30s and low 40s, but in reality, Biden's real polling numbers are between 8-10%. With that said, it seems possible that he might be replaced as the Democrat nominee, but as of today (7/3/24), he is still the incumbent. Now, the only viable options the Democrats have are Michelle Obama, Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsome, and Gretchen Whitmer. Each has detractors, but the biggest problem the democrats have, isn't name brand recognition, it's the fact that we've all been living in a Democrat-run America with a border in chaos, rampant crime, high inflation, military failures, geopolitical fails, and a dozen other detractors that make any democrat offering the same thing, highly unpopular. The Invasion Please watch this video between Steve Gardner and JJ Carrell. But let me forewarn you, this video is very disturbing and will leave you feeling hopeless (if your hope is in this nation). However, JJ, who is a 24-year veteran of the Customs and Border Patrol, believes the actual number of illegal aliens in the US to be between 10-40M from 2021- Present The January 6th Fiasco January 6th, 2021- The reason why Nancy Pelosi, the then speaker of the house, refused Trump's offer to bring in any additional law enforcement officers and military assets such as the National Guard was in the hopes that what happened, would happen. It just needed a little "nudge." The nudge came by way of undercover FBI instigators (ex. Ray Epps) who led the increasingly riled up J6 crowds into the halls of Congress, all so Nancy Pelosi could implement the emergency rules to 1) delegitimize Trump's claim that the election was stolen, and 2) delegitimize the states challenging the results of the election. After that debacle, nobody wanted to be lumped in with all that craziness. Had no riots or craziness occurred, and at least one state been successful in challenging the certification, Biden would likely not be current president. The following states were challenging the 2020 election results:
The Scenarios A.) November 5th-6th, 2024: Given the skyrocketing polarization, it seems unlikely that either side will accept the results of the upcoming election regardless of who wins or how decisive the victory is. Even the Canadian and UK Intelligence agencies are warming to the possibility that the US moves into civil war territory as a result of the deepening political and ideological division in the American political apparatus. So why is that? Let’s look at the first three decision branches. These will drive how everything plays out. First, we have to work on two assumptions, to begin with,
Secondly, if we have the election,
Lastly, we have to work on some follow-up assumptions if Trump wins,
B.) Assuming #1s on the first two accounts, if the 2024 election happens and Trump sweeps it with 300+ Electoral votes (which he is on a trajectory to do), it is very likely the Democrats will still not recognize the election results. Remember Al Gore? Stacy Abrams? Hillary Clinton? This means despite the insider threats (i.e., Democrat operatives, midnight ballot dumps, and technical glitches), last-minute candidate switches, and any other shenanigans, Trump still wins decisively which will be intolerable more so to the Deep State than the Democrats themselves. His victory will most likely look to gut the bureaucratic swamp there (remember he's already had everything thrown at him for the past nine years), this victory will spawn endless lawfare challenges in an attempt to drag out the election results for as long as possible (think back to 2000 and the Florida recount). Why would the Democrats (and the rest of the political left) want to drag things out? If recent history is any indication of the near future, it would seem that if the goal is still to weaken and destroy the United States (i.e., fundamentally transforming our nation [Barack Hussein Obama-October 2008]) then this is most effectively done from a position of power. This requires the Democrats and their Deep State cronies to hold on to power at whatever costs, even to the detriment of US sovereignty Throwing endless lawfare into the mix can only help sow the seeds of chaos into the US election system itself, as well as sow uncertainty with our allies, which helps further marginalize our standing in the world This also gives time for the next major crisis to happen C.) Now, if the Democrats somehow miraculously win as they did in 2020 (i.e., through voting machine glitches and mysterious midnight ballot dumps in four key states), I would expect lawful challenges from the right to emerge as well. Ballot recounts and investigations would clearly show more ballots than registered voters for the contested areas, and would indicate that illegal aliens were indeed registered to vote (as they are now through certain state welfare systems), thus putting tens of millions of votes (both legitimate and illegitimate) into question, and again, tying up the election results for months on end. D.) It would seem that since they couldn't stop Trump from running (i.e., four frivolous lawsuits, a Supreme Court issuance of immunity, and the collapsing of the various prosecution teams), and he wins the national election, the following scenarios are designed to tie up the results of the election for as long as possible to prevent Trump from actually taking over. Granted, it seems unlikely that they will need or require a situation similar to January 6, 2021, since the Republicans are in control of the House of Representatives and the Supreme Court has since clarified their position on obstruction and treason, has nullified the legal purposes of the unconstitutional detention 300+ J6 protestors are still being held on. So for me, the key takeaways are these: If the crisis happens before the election, its design is either to steal or prevent the election from happening altogether. This would require a serious crisis of a magnitude not seen since World War II. This means it would require something like a WW3 declaration of war, a true pandemic, multiple 9/11-style attacks, a natural disaster of epic proportions, an economic collapse on par with the 'Black Monday' of October 28, 1929, or any combination of the above (polycrisis). If the crisis happens after the election, but before Inauguration Day (Jan 20th, 2025), the intent will be to prevent Trump from actually taking over even if he wins the election. This seems to indicate a scenario that would entail the enactment of Martial Law by the outgoing administration, which could then be used to remove or arrest the incoming administration. Author's Note: Although the above seems impossible, just remember the fact that we currently have hundreds of Americans (January 6 protesters) who are still languishing in pre-trial confinement after three years, the present Department of Justice (DoJ) illegally raided President Trump’s home by force for a lesser issue than the current president (and former VP) who did the same thing as a VP with only a slap on the wrist. The FBI, according to their admission, planted evidence by staging photos at Mar-A-Lago, and removing who knows what, all while allowing four frivolous lawsuits in three states to play out simultaneously against this administration’s current political challenger in what is the most obvious example of election interference this country has ever seen. Doesn't sound so crazy anymore, does it? Nevertheless, looking at the branches above, let's discuss various courses of action (COA) as to how that might happen. The options are Most Likely (IMHO), Highly Likely, Most Dangerous, and Least Likely. Most Likely: Terrorist/Cyber Attacks: The Biden Administration has spent the last three and a half years furiously sowing the seeds of chaos for such a time as this. They are doing this specifically to create the requisite crisis to muddy the waters. Given the four years of open borders by which 10-40M illegal aliens have since flooded into the country. This flood includes at least 120K identified Chinese PLA soldiers, and untold hundreds to thousands of military-aged OTMs (Other than Mexican) from Central and South American prisons, asylums, and gangs. It also includes OTMs from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia who are predominantly military-aged males. All of these, despite the media spin, aren't fleeing for political asylum (or else they would have brought their families) but seem to be coming under nefarious pretenses. This also includes the possibility that a hostile nation/entity performs a massive cyber attack on the US shutting down major infrastructure and putting into question the validity of the election. This makes this crisis more than ripe for an October surprise. Highly Likely: Pandemic: There is zero appetite to revive the COVID-19 pandemic, as most people either believe it’s a scam or have had multiple vaccinations and think they are immune to any new outbreaks. A new pandemic would require more time and significantly increased levels of lethality to garner the necessary public panic to buy into the "mail-in" ballot scam, which means that it would require 2-3 months at a minimum. If this is the crisis, I would expect it to start mid-late August or early September at the latest. Most Dangerous: World War 3: Given the current amplification of hostilities towards Russia by the US and NATO-backed Ukraine, as well as Xi Xiping's appetite for retaking Taiwan, it would seem that this hair-lined trigger could be tripped at any time before the election causing the US to immediately ramp up to DEFCON 1 very quickly. This action requires the US or NATO to trip one of Putin's "red lines" (ie...something that poses an existential threat to Russia or her interests). This scenario can happen at any time (since we've already crossed several red lines- Gazprom Gaslines, Moscow attack, US/NATO forces in Ukraine). If nuclear weapons are used (albeit unlikely), the most likely attack would be a Poseiden hitting a US Naval Aircraft Carrier. However, any attack would likely be precipitated by a massive cyber attack that would cripple the US on numerous fronts to devastating and catastrophic effect. For those who don't know (or forgot) DEFCON, short for Defense Readiness Condition, is a system used by the United States military to indicate the level of threat to national security and readiness of the armed forces. The DEFCON levels range from 1 to 5, with DEFCON 1 being the most severe and DEFCON 5 being the least severe. Here’s a detailed description of each level: DEFCON 5 (Least Severe): Condition: Normal peacetime readiness Description: Routine operations. The armed forces are at their lowest state of readiness. Typical conditions in times of peace. DEFCON 4: Condition: Increased intelligence and strengthened security measures Description: There is a heightened risk of threat, which prompts an increase in security measures and intelligence gathering. Military forces are prepared but not on high alert. DEFCON 3: (We are here presently) Condition: Increase in force readiness above normal readiness Description: Armed forces are at a heightened state of readiness. Units are prepared to deploy and respond more quickly. Military operations are readied for rapid response. An example of DEFCON 3 being implemented was during the Yom Kippur War in 1973. DEFCON 2: Condition: The next step to nuclear war Description: Armed forces are ready to deploy and engage in less than six hours. This level indicates that a severe threat is imminent, and preparations for imminent military action are underway. DEFCON 2 was declared during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. DEFCON 1 (Most Severe): Condition: Maximum readiness, immediate response Description: This is the highest state of alert and readiness, indicating that nuclear war is imminent or already underway. Military forces are fully deployed, and all measures are taken for immediate engagement. Least Likely: Economic Collapse: Given the resilient nature of the US Economy (i.e., it's not dependent on any one thing) there are still things that bode ill for our immediate future such as the collapse of the US dollar or a multifaceted collapse in the global supply chain. Other things adding to our precarious situation are the national debt, the ongoing de-dollarization efforts by BRICS and OPEC, and the race to the digitalization of all fiat systems (CBDCs). Nevertheless, this option seems to play more to Trump's strength given his financial savvy and his successful economy in his first term as president in prospering the US. The powers that be don't want to play into Trump's strengths. If there is a collapse, it will come about as a result of a combination of the aforementioned scenarios. Now, my wife constantly chides me on adding in too much "fluff" and that I should just get to the point. On a personal note, the "last trump" on my part is a little tongue-in-cheek, but it would be divinely ironic if it were to happen that way! However, let me conclude by touching on the last point first. The Bad News The bad news is that if the Democrats take control again for another four years, the United States will cease to be a Constitutional Republic. This seems to jive with Scripture in that the United States (as it currently is) is nowhere to be found in Bible prophecy. Yes, the US Dollar is also done. Yes, there is no real way to come back from the $134T national debt we are in now, no matter how you slice it. Yes, the Bible is crystal clear that the last superpower in human history is a global government called "the Beast" (Rev 6:1-2, 13, 17-18), which appears to be a regional imperial power with ten kings who then hand their authority over to the Antichrist, and his aide-de-camp, the False Prophet. These two steer the world into the worst period in all of human history. For their crimes, they are defeated at the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ who subsequently tosses them like wadded-up pieces of trash into the Lake of Fire one thousand years before anyone else. The Good News The Good News is, that regardless of who wins the office of President, God is in control (Acts 17:26) and will determine if or how much longer our nation will continue as a nation. Furthermore, if you are a born-again believer in our Lord Jesus Christ right now, YOU will not be here to see the final and most terrifying iteration of man's kingdoms. Christ has promised to remove His bride, the Church before this time even begins. Note this promise here: Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Revelation 3:10 This "keep you from" in the original Greek is tēreō ἐκ. We will be kept FROM the very time of the testing that will come upon the WHOLE earth. This coincides perfectly with Jesus previous comments in the Upper Room Discourse when He said: “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:1-3 If you don't know Jesus right now as your Lord and Savior, then today is the day of salvation. The Gospel means "Good News" in that God became a perfect man, who lived a sinless life and died for your sins (and mine) to pay the debt we couldn't pay. When we place our faith in His finished work, God trades and covers our sinful natures with the shed blood of His Son. This means that when God looks at me, He no longer sees a sinner separated from Him, but a son, an heir, a new creation, who is covered in the blood of His Son. We are reconnected back to Him through Jesus and sealed for all eternity by His Holy Spirit. But this joy is not just giving us eternal life (which is amazing in and of itself). He has promised to remove one generation so that they never taste death. They will be translated from mortal to immortal, from perishable to imperishable. We are that generation (1 Thess 4:13-5:9, 1 Cor 15:51-56). Our Blessed Hope is not the Rapture itself, but Jesus' return for us to take us to be with Him forever. While we don't know when the Rapture will happen specifically, the Bible does indicate in several places that we should know generally when this season of our departure will occur (1 Thess 5:1-4, Hebrews 10:25, Rev 3:3). On a more personal note, you don't know when your last breath will be. Woe to those who have to enter into this terrible time of testing that will come upon the whole world. Even more, Woe to those who die in their sins without Christ and must spend the rest of eternity separated from their Creator for all eternity. If God is all that is good (He is), that means you must spend eternity in a place devoid of God, which means it is a place devoid of all that is good (ie., peace, joy, happiness, comfort, pleasure, love, hope, light, clean air, food, drink, et. al.) So don't delay in making the most important decision you could ever make one second longer. None of us are guaranteed our next heartbeat. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Daily Jot: Forgiveness - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com In 2012, Christian singer and songwriter Matthew West released the song “Forgiveness” that quickly rose to number two on the Hot Christian Songs chart. The song was inspired by a mother who forgave a drunk driver that killed her 20-year-old daughter. In it, West talks about the true liberty in forgiveness. He sings, “Help me now to do the impossible. Forgiveness. It’ll clear the bitterness away. It can even set a prisoner free. There is no end to what its power can do. So, let it go and be amazed by why you see through the eyes of grace. The prisoner that it really frees is you. Forgiveness. Forgiveness. Forgiveness. Forgiveness.” We all have had times where the hardest act is forgiveness. The Bible gives many examples. Forgiveness can be informed by the story of Joseph, whose brothers were so jealous of him that they threw him in a pit and eventually he was sold into Egyptian slavery. To save themselves from famine, the brothers went to Egypt to buy food, where Joseph had been put in charge of all of Pharaoh’s dealings. Long story short, after testing the brothers, who didn’t recognize him after 20 years, Joseph gave them supplies as Joseph was the one responsible for managing the famine. After their father Jacob’s death, Joseph’s brothers feared that there might be pay back for the suffering they had caused him. They sent a message to Joseph that their father had given them an order before he died to ask Joseph to forgive them and not take revenge for the wickedness they had done to him. However, when they came before Joseph and prostrated themselves asking for forgiveness, Joseph said to them in Genesis 50:19,20, “Don’t be afraid! Am I in the place of God? You meant to do me harm, but God meant it for good—so that it would come about as it has today, with many people’s lives being saved.” Joseph’s brothers could not change the choices they had made in the past, but because of their turning, called teshuvah or repentance, they became part of the redemption of the future of their people. As Rabbi Jonathan Sacks writes, “Atonement and forgiveness are supreme expressions of freedom—the freedom to act differently in the future than one did in the past, the freedom not to be trapped in the cycle of vengeance and retaliation. Only those who forgive can be free.” Wise words. Unforgiveness is a form of bondage for both parties. It can take root as bitterness and destroy from within. The story of Joseph has the overarching theme of forgiveness, and then the redemption of those forgiven. We have freedom to choose, and can redeem past mistakes by repentance. This theme is repeated throughout scripture. Ephesians 4:31,32 says, “Let all bitterness, and wrath and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you.” As Christ said in Mark 11:25,”…forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” Bottom line: There is freedom in the act of forgiveness. We stay too close to the place where we got in. That is what happened to Peter, and he ended up warming himself at the enemy’s fire. Peter was trying to go undercover as a disciple. Matthew 26:57–58 says, “Then the people who had arrested Jesus led him to the home of Caiaphas, the high priest, where the teachers of religious law and the elders had gathered. Meanwhile, Peter followed him at a distance and came to the high priest’s courtyard” (NLT). The Gospel of John tells us the guards in the courtyard were standing around a charcoal fire, “and Peter stood with them, warming himself” (18:18 NLT). At this point, Peter was worn down, defeated, weak, and vulnerable. Yes, he was following Jesus. But it was at a distance. As a result, he was attracted to the warmth of the enemy’s fire. Why was he even there? The rest of verse 58 gives us the answer: “He went in and sat with the guards and waited to see how it would all end.” Peter had forgotten all that Jesus had said about His resurrection from the dead. He simply waited for the end—the end of Jesus’ life, the end of his dream, and the end of everything he held dear. But it was not the end. It would be a new beginning. Here was Peter’s problem: He was in the wrong place with the wrong people, and he was about to do the wrong thing. And that is what happens when we fall into sin. We are always in the wrong place with the wrong people. And we do the wrong thing. When we hang out with the wrong people at the wrong place, then it is only a matter of time until we do the wrong thing. We need to wise up. Psalm 1 says, “Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night” (verses 1–2 NLT). Have you ever noticed the progression in these verses? First, there is following. Then there is standing around. And then there is joining in. Have you ever tried to be an undercover Christian? It’s like the man who only went to church on Christmas and Easter. The pastor greeted him at the door and said, “You know, I only see you about twice a year. You need to join the Lord’s army.” The man leaned forward and whispered, “I’m in the Secret Service.” Is that you? Are you a Secret Service Christian? For Peter, the problem wasn’t the fire itself; it was the people around the fire. He was trying to warm himself there. In the same way, when the passion in our hearts begins to die, the fire that we had for Christ will grow cold. And then we’ll look elsewhere for warmth.
