The world quite literally dodged a bullet when former president Donald Trump turned his head at precisely the right moment, causing the projectile that had been fired at him to take away part of his ear rather than pass through his skull. If you think mayhem has ensued since this failed attempt, imagine what would be taking place in America and around the world if it had succeeded. There is no doubt that we have God to thank that the former officeholder and current Republican candidate for president was not killed or more severely wounded. By saying that, do not read into it that I am formally endorsing Donald Trump. I am an Israeli. I don’t have a vote. After the insanity of the 2020 elections, I promised myself and my staff that I would not get too deep into U.S. politics again, except as it relates to Israel. That is why I will limit myself right now to saying that I highly doubt that there will be prayers from the stage at the DNC in Chicago for the safe return of the October 7 hostages as there have been at the RNC in Milwaukee. One more truth that I know – both Donald Trump and J. D. Vance are great friends of Israel. There is a serious investigation taking place into how the shooter was able to get such a clear shot on the former president from such an obvious perch. The leadership of the head of the secret service, Kimberly Cheatle, has come under serious scrutiny for her commitment to equality over competency. There is one thing that we have apparently learned from the higher-ups in the organization – slopey roofs are kryptonite to secret service agents. Gaza It’s been 9 months since the war in Gaza began. Let’s look at some statistics. Half of Hamas’s military leadership has been eliminated. More than 14,000 terrorists have been killed or apprehended. There have been 37,000 targets struck from the air and 137,297 buildings destroyed, leaving 40 million tons of rubble that will need to be cleared at a cost of $500-600 million. Was all that on your Bingo card, Hamas, as you planned out your attack? And speaking of planning the October 7 attack, Muhammad Deif, head of Ezzedeen al-Qassam, the military wing of Hamas, and the architect of the massacre, was eliminated on Saturday. Like a very patient game of Whac-A-Mole, Israel waited for Deif to pop up out of the tunnels in Gaza. When he finally did last week, they bopped him on the head with some very large bombs and now he’s gone. This is a huge blow for the terrorist group. U.S. Intelligence officials still believe that Yahya Sinwar, leader of Hamas in Gaza, is hiding in the tunnels beneath Khan Younis. Let’s hope that he peeks his head out, also. We have a large mallet waiting with his name on it, too. For those who may think I’m being a little harsh on these terrorists, please look back and remind yourself of what they did. Actually, you don’t have to look back, because the effects of October 7 are still being felt today. On Tuesday, a survivor of the Nova Music Festival massacre snapped mentally. Taking an axe, she killed her six-year-old, then walked to a mall where she attacked a security guard. Seeing her walking along the street with a huge smile and her son’s blood on her face and on the axe is a vision I won’t soon get out of my mind. There are so many wounded survivors. Many have committed suicide, while others have lost their minds. One last story related to the Palestinian conflict. Norway’s foreign minister, Espen Barth Eide, presented a formal request to come visit Israel. That request was immediately denied. Why? Because on May 28, Norway formally recognized a Palestinian state. Sorry, Norway, we’ll happily accept your fish exports, but you can keep your politicians. Northern Conflict At least 20 rockets were fired from Lebanon toward the Israeli town of Kiryat Shmona Monday night. Most were intercepted, but some made it through and hit the ground. There were no injuries. In response, fighter jets of the Israeli Air Force hit Hezbollah targets in Houla, Kafr Kila, and Bani Haiyyan. Preparations are still being made on both sides of the border for a potential invasion south into Israel. For now, it seems like the most likely way to avert an all-out war in the north is for the Lebanese people to find a way to take away the power Hezbollah has over their country. Houthis The Houthi rebels of Yemen continue their piratical tyranny in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. On Monday, the Greek-owned Chios Lion was struck on the port side by an unmanned water vessel. This opened up a leak in the oil tanker which has left a 220 km long slick near the coast of Egypt. The attack on the Chios Lion was the second of the day. Earlier, two manned and one unmanned craft attacked the Israeli-owned MT Bently I near Yemen. The ship was able to fight off the Houthis who eventually abandoned the attack. United States I know we discussed the United States earlier, but that was centered around the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. However, I could not let this newsletter pass without addressing a bill that was signed here in the state which I am now visiting. On Monday, Governor Gavin Newsom signed AB 1955, a bill which prohibits California school districts from informing parents if their child claims to have changed their gender identity. This outrageous infringement on parental rights denies parents the knowledge that would allow them to address any struggles of this sort that their child may be going through. Billionaire Elon Musk went so far as to say that this bill was the final straw causing him to move SpaceX from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas. My call to Americans throughout the nation is that you please don’t forget this when Newsom’s name potentially shows up on the presidential ballot in 2028. Next Monday will see Prime Minister Netanyahu meeting one-on-one with President Joe Biden at the White House. With the DNC coming in August and questions about the president’s health, it is likely that he will keep the prime minister at arm’s length. Then, two days later on July 24, Netanyahu is scheduled to address a joint session of Congress. It will be interesting to watch the reaction of some of the more antisemitic members of the United States government. France Turmoil continues to roil through the government of France. Since the divided parliamentary elections of July 7, there is no leading candidate for prime minister. Gabriel Attal, the former prime minister, and his government resigned on Tuesday leaving all the key ministerial roles leaderless. President Emmanuel Macron has the authority to appoint the new prime minister, but there is no clear majority party or bloc. With the ethnic turmoil and governmental confusion, it will be very interesting to watch what happens with the Olympics when they begin in Paris a week from tomorrow. What The Future Holds I know that there are many people who are very concerned about what the future holds. I can’t say that I blame them. In a sense, World War 3 began on October 7. This fight that we are now in is different than those of the past. This is a religious, cultural, and, above all, a spiritual war. Iran is central to much that is happening. They had big plans with Hezbollah and Hamas, but that isn’t going how they intended. Once those two terrorist organizations are defeated, Iran will be forced to look for new allies. That is when they will join a new coalition led by Russia. This will lead to the Big War. If this frightens you, let me encourage you to read Ezekiel 38. Actually, read Ezekiel 36-39 because in those chapters you will see God’s great plan from bringing Israel back to the land up until the time He brings the Jews back to Himself. Again, if you are just looking at the news, I understand your fear. However, if you are reading it through the lens of the Holy Scriptures, then you will quickly realize that you have no reason to worry. God is in control, and He will work out His plans. Luke 4:24b Before beginning His earthly ministry around the age of 30, Jesus would have worked with His dad, Joseph, learning a trade. It’s not likely he was a full-time carpenter as trees were scarce and rotted quickly in the dense humidity of Galilee. It’s more likely he developed a muscular body working as a stone mason. In that day, in addition to building stone benches and mangers, stone masons would both design and build houses. So along with His noticeable spiritual insight, by the time He began His ministry of miracles He would have built a great reputation in and around Nazareth. And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. Luke 2:52 So, in top physical shape, Jesus began His ministry. After His baptism in the Jordan River and temptation encounter with Satan in the wilderness, Jesus took a long 6-day walk from Jerusalem north up the Jordan River to Capernaum on the north shore of the Sea of Galilee. In Galilee He encountered wildly appreciative audiences. And Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about Him spread through all the surrounding district. Luke 4:14 Notice the word "district" is singular, not plural. So this being early in His ministry, Jesus’ miracles were only known in a small area of Galilee. But it bore shades of things to come. The reason people were spreading the “news” about Him was because of the undeniable miracles He was performing. Without newspapers, Internet, radio, TV or phones, Jesus’ name, and the reports of the miracles He was performing, began to spread like wildfire. First-hand accounts of visible miracles get people's attention! News in those days was passed along by word of mouth by people traveling between cities…on foot. The local well was undoubtedly “News Central” as every lady had to draw water for her household each day and hear the latest goings-on. From Capernaum, in the middle of the north shore of the Sea of Galilee, Jesus walked by Himself due west using a cut through Mt. Arbel, a natural pass next to Magdala, past what we today call the Horns of Hattin and up to Nazareth. Nazareth was 20 miles away and over 1850’ higher in elevation. It would be a grueling, full-day, uphill grind in the summer heat. The heat and humidity around the Sea of Galilee would be similar to Houston, TX or Montgomery, AL in August, but much, much worse. He would have arrived before sunset on Friday, the beginning of Shabbat. Jews were forbidden to travel more than a few hundred feet on Shabbat. Yet the news of Jesus’ miracles had already reached Nazareth. Word would have spread through town that Nazareth’s own Jesus, who had done great miracles in Capernaum, was back in town. So when He arrived at the synagogue, they could hardly wait for Him to teach. He would have already had a sky-high reputation as a scripture teacher. Imagine having Jesus, who spoke the universe into existence, to personally teach and or explain the Old Testament scriptures. Pinch me! Now they heard the news that He was doing amazing miracles in Capernaum! Each week at the local synagogues there was a predetermined specific portion of scripture read from a single scroll containing the Books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. Each week they began reading the scroll where they had stopped the week before. This part of the morning worship allowed for the entire scroll to be completely read once a year. After the main scroll reading from those five books was completed, parts of other Biblical texts could be read and discussed. It was at this time Jesus stood up and turned to the book of Isaiah. It was the custom to stand when reading scripture and then sit to discuss what had been read. Many churches today have the congregation stand as they read scripture. And the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And He opened the book and found the place where it was written, Luke 4:17 There were no pages to turn, so Jesus had to roll through the scroll to find Isaiah 61:1-2. There were also no chapters or verses to guide Him. Finding the passage He wanted, He began to read: THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR. HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED, TO PROCLAIM THE FAVORABLE YEAR OF THE LORD... Luke 14:18,19 He was reading a Messianic passage but stopped in the middle of the verse, not continuing to read about God’s wrath. Jesus' purpose for His First Coming was not about bringing wrath. And then He sat down, remarking, Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing [Lit. “ears”]. Luke 4:21b The room went dead silent. …the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on Him. Luke 4:20b The implication was clear. Jesus was claiming to be their long-awaited Messiah. But they weren’t buying that He could be the Messiah. They had seen Him grow up. Is this not Joseph’s son? Luke 4:22b Not to mention most of Israel was expecting a Moses-like, take-no-prisoners type of Messiah. A strong man who could throw off the yoke of the despised Roman Empire. So it was at that moment that the mood of the room changed from Jesus being a great scripture teacher to being a full-blown heretic. Sensing the growing hostility, Jesus expressed a reply knowing what they were thinking. Having just heard His Messianic claim they were thinking, "Ok, if you're the Messiah then show us a miracle!" But we know Jesus knew their thoughts. There are several examples of Jesus being able to read people's minds in scripture (i.e., Luke 5:21; Luke 6:8). So He answered: And He said to them,“No doubt you will quote this proverb to Me, ‘Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we heard was done at Capernaum, do here in your hometown as well.’” And He said, “Truly I say to you, no prophet is welcome in his hometown. “But I say to you in truth, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up for three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land; and yet Elijah was sent to none of them, but only to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. “And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian.” Luke 4:23-27 In both the examples Jesus used, the prophets Elijah and Elisha chose a Gentile to receive the miracle. This in-your-face fact would not have been missed by those in the synagogue, and they went ballistic. And all the people in the synagogue were filled with rage as they heard these things; Luke 4:28 For the Jews of that time, claiming to be the Jewish Messiah was the worst of the worst of sins. So they immediately dragged Jesus to the top of a steep hill, intending to throw him off. They got up and drove Him out of the city and led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city had been built, in order to throw Him down the cliff. Luke 4:29 Since He had not yet chosen His disciples, it was Jesus by Himself, outnumbered by those wishing to murder Him. So He had no choice but to do a miracle and He froze the crowd in place. But passing through their midst, He went His way. Luke 4:30 Too funny! Here are probably 20 or 30 men dragging Jesus about 300 yards up the hill on which the city was built, but when they got to the top they were frozen in place. No matter how hard they tried, no one could move. Hey, they wanted a miracle to prove He was the Messiah, so He gave them one! “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth." When I heard that the land was “moving” there, it immediately got my attention, because I have been warning about geological instability along the California coast for more than a decade. What is taking place has been described as an ongoing “landslide”, but that term simply does not do it justice. Others are calling what we are witnessing “land movement” on a massive scale, and I think that is much more accurate. According to FOX 11 in southern California, this “land movement” is breaking gas lines, cracking roads and causing homes to sink… According to experts, land movement in Rancho Palos Verdes continues to accelerate. As a result, roads and homes continue to crack and sink. On Friday, FOX 11 exclusively joined Alpha Structural to view the land movement up close in a neighborhood near Portuguese Bend. “You have to think to yourself, this isn’t real,” said Damien Hammond, from Alpha Structural. “That’s how I feel here. I feel like I’m on a movie set, but in reality, this is 25 peoples’ homes.” That last quote really nailed it. At this point, Rancho Palos Verdes really does look like it belongs on the set of a science fiction movie. This is a slow-motion natural disaster that authorities are powerless to stop, and the damage is getting worse with each passing day. If you visit Rancho Palos Verdes you will discover that there is a giant “chasm” that is now running right through the middle of a neighborhood… Drone video from the Alpha Structural team shows essentially a giant crack cutting through the neighborhood. “This whole part just pulled away from over here, opened up a chasm,” said Joe Demers, a civil engineer with Alpha Structural. “This whole area moved about 5 feet in the last year or so, but then it really accelerated. In the last couple months, it’s moved another 4 or 5 feet.” I have never heard of anything quite like this. This is something that you really need to see for yourself… Normally, authorities will get concerned if the ground in a particular area is moving a few inches a year. In this case, the ground is literally moving about a foot per week… Within the last year or so, experts believe some areas have dropped more than 12 feet. Recently, experts have said the land is moving about 12 inches per week. A total drop of more than 12 feet is quite dramatic. So what is going to happen if the land continues to drop? Already, so much land has moved that a “stunning new stretch of shoreline” has appeared… Even still, months after the movement began, earth continues to shift, creating an unexpected and stunning new stretch of shoreline near Rancho Palos Verdes. “Somebody said, ‘Oh, you know there’s a new beach.’ It’s not really a beach yet,” said city geologist Mike Phipps. “A beach typically has sand on it. This is just literally landslide debris, a lot of rocks being pushed up and out of the surf.” This didn’t happen over millions of years. This happened in just six months… A few month’s difference is astonishing when viewing side-by-side photos of the shoreline pre-2024 and six months later, with a few hundred feet of new rocky shore that formed as the land continues to move, piling up under the water’s edge. “What’s happening is, the ground is rising up and coming up, right through the ocean and lifting it up out of the ocean,” Phipps said. Is this yet another sign that we are entering a time of increased geological instability for the state of California? For years, I have warned that it is just a matter of time before “the Big One” arrives, and the clock is ticking. Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of fish have been dying and washing up on shore in northern California… Hundreds of thousands of lifeless fish have washed up on the shores of California’s Lake San Antonio in an unprecedented mass die-off affecting a wide variety of species. The deaths began last week, when smaller baitfish were found at the water’s edge on Friday, but in the days since, larger and larger species of fish have also washed up on the lake’s beaches. “It seems like every fish species in the lake is being impacted. We have never seen this type of multispecies die-off, especially on this scale,” Bryan Flores, Monterey County chief of parks, told SFGATE. Authorities don’t seem to know why this is happening, and I don’t know why this is happening either. Before I end this article, I wanted to mention a couple of other very strange natural events that have taken place recently. Firstly, on Tuesday a meteor spectacularly exploded over Midtown Manhattan at 11:15 in the morning… A meteor soared over the Statue of Liberty before disintegrating about 30 miles above Midtown Manhattan on Tuesday morning, according to NASA. The space rock passed through the atmosphere over the Big Apple around 11:15 a.m. — the same time New Yorkers reported seeing a flash of fire streak across the sky and felt the ground lightly shaking beneath their feet. Why didn’t our scientists see this meteor coming in advance? And what would have happened if the meteor had been much larger and had made it all the way to the ground? Secondly, earlier this month Hurricane Beryl slammed into the state of Texas, and it literally removed the head of a famous pro-abortion statue in Houston… As Beryl stormed across Texas leaving millions without power, one particular point of destruction has some saying it was an act of God. Taking up residence at the University of Houston following its reveal in New York City, the satanic, pro-abortion statue “Witness” was found beheaded in the aftermath of Beryl. So many really weird things have been occurring lately. Have you noticed that too? Unfortunately, I am entirely convinced that things are going to get even weirder during the very difficult months and years that are ahead of us. I have been studying Bible prophecy for almost thirty years. Because I have taken such an interest in Bible prophecy, I knew a day would come when technology would increase rapidly and the world would change in ways we only used to imagine. I knew someday we would wake up and see that the things we used to call science fiction were now everyday realities. It’s one thing to know this and another to actually live through it. The day I said would one day come is now here! Matthew 24:14 I knew from the prophecy of Matthew 24:14 that “the gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come,” would need modern-day technology to be fulfilled. It was a very different world when Jesus spoke this prophecy to His disciples on the Mount of Olives. Communication was limited. Messages were carried by foot, on horseback, or by ship. It took time to get a message out. I knew the prophecy of Revelation 11:9, where for three and a half days, people, tribes, languages, and nations from around the world would be able to see the lifeless bodies of the Tribulation’s Two Witnesses as they lay dead in the public square. I understood that for that to happen, technology would have to be much more advanced than what we had at the start of the twentieth century. How do people all over the world witness the Two Witnesses’ dead bodies in Jerusalem in real-time? This was impossible in any other age. Revelation 13:15 I knew the prophecy of Revelation 13:15 when breath would be allowed to be given to the image of the Beast so that the image of the Beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship it to be slain. I knew this event would lead to the Mark of the Beast, and I understood the technology needed for every financial transaction, which would have to be electronic, would one day be possible. Understanding these things is one thing, seeing them happening in real life is a completely different perspective. What is happening in our lives today is beyond what I think the prophets of old even imagined. God gave Isaiah, Ezekiel, and the apostle John glimpses into Heaven and into the very throne room of God. They saw things that no one else was able to see. They explained amazing details and created a longing for us to experience all Heaven has for all who believe and look forward to their time in Heaven. But I am not sure if even they comprehended how far technology would go before that glorious day arrived. Amazon’s Alexa In my previous article, I wrote and spoke about Apple’s new intelligent phones, which are adding AI to our cell phones and raising the technology bar for cellular communication to a new high. In the past, I have discussed how far advancements have come in smart homes, from our appliances to the Ring doorbells. People like their technology and what these smart appliances and devices offer them. Several years ago, someone wanted to gift my family an Amazon Alexa. I declined because I knew that the personal assistant was never off and that it listened to everything said. I did not want that invasion of privacy in my house. However, in the last ten years since it has been available, this technology has been embraced to the point that people refer to it as “her” or “she.” They tell “her” to order food or to play music. They ask ‘her” what the weather will be like. This electronic personal assistant has been embraced almost as if it is human. Hebrews 10:25 and Church Attendance Multiple surveys have shown that since the “Plandemic,” church attendance has dropped. Because of the Plandemic, churches that did not have a live stream service began one. People “went to church” from the comfort of their own homes. People now have their “favorite” pastor(s). It’s become more common now for churchgoers to no longer have a local pastor but to have several favorites. And yet, Hebrews 10:25 commands believers to not neglect meeting together but to encourage one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near. The technology of live streaming has changed how that command is lived out. The Agent Hospital Overall, all this technology has accomplished is leading to less and less human connection. People don’t talk, they text, even when they are in the same room. Food is delivered to our doorstep, often with little or no human contact. We no longer shop, now Amazon drops off our products, sometimes by drone. If we want information, we use Google, or we ask Alexa. As a student of Bible prophecy, I understood technology would advance, but I did not realize the cost that would be paid to human relationships and connections. Are we at the point where we rely more on technology and machines than on people? I ask that because this week, I saw what China is in the process of starting. They are on the verge of opening the world’s first AI Hospital. It is called The Agent Hospital, and the plan is for patients to be seen virtually by AI doctors. It is staffed with 14 AI doctors and four AI nurses. The AI doctors have scored a 93.06 percent accuracy rate on US Medical Licensing Exam questions. Unitree Robotics Taking AI and robots to another level, a Chinese tech company called Unitree Robotics has created a humanoid robot with an AI “brain.” A robot with an AI brain! This new humanoid has 40 joints, giving it elbows and knees, making it much more mobile and stable. The robot has also become the fastest humanoid robot in the world, with a speed of 3.3 meters per second. This humanoid is designed to do much more than be a robotic arm in a manufacturing factory or flipping hamburgers in a fast-food restaurant. It is designed to do human functions. The company aims for mass production of 500 to 1,000 humanoid robots next year. Remember the TV cartoon, The Jetsons? The family owned Rosie the Robot. She was their maid and took care of the house. We do not have Rosie, but now we have humanoid robots with an artificial intelligence brain. In fact, the owner of Country Oaks, Lonnie Gay, is a bit of a throwback to those days when much of America romanticized the Cowboy Way. Lonnie and his family carved out the 18 acres for the campsite in nearly 30 years ago and it remains a family-run business. Lonnie, in his spare time, runs with a wagon train outfit that takes local trips and often ends up at his nearby farm for Bar-B-Q and entertainment around the campfire. He leads an American pioneer life and shares it with the rest of us through neighborly love at Country Oaks. Campsites are nestled in among old oak and palmetto trees and guests can fish at a fully-stocked lake. Not far from the lake is the barn where Lonnie keeps his wagon train mules Ruby and Rusty. We didn’t see Ruby and Rusty or Lonnie during our recent trip because Lonnie had taken the mules to Tennessee to get them shod. He said that his farrier in Tennessee is the only one who can do the job right so the shoes will stay on during wagon train trips. Many people don’t know it, but there still are folks who do wagon trains because they enjoy the rugged camping life. There are also others, who do wagon trains in their modern campers as families take trips together across the country in a more comfortable manner. Throughout Country Oaks are reminders of the past. There are old horse-drawn wagons, plows, and other farm implements. Worn saddles and relics from the past give the wrap-around porch of the main lodge an old West feel. Rocking chairs invite a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the serene country view of the trees adorned with Spanish moss. The atmosphere is certainly recalling America’s kind hospitality, yet no nonsense era. A sign near the front entrance of the lodge reads: Warning You are entering a RED NECK AREA You may encounter American Flags, Armed Citizens, The Lord’s Prayer & Country Music Proceed at your own risk. Don’t let the sign scare you. The folks running the campground are as down-home and friendly as your best friends from high school. It seems like you have known them all your life. The inside of the lodge is like a museum for Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. There are pictures on the walls of the two heroes of the big screen. There are posters, buttons and pictures from the celebration of Roy and Dale’s glory days. There are old farm tools and a heat stove to take off the chill in the cool mornings. The American experience is fully alive at Country Oaks. Galatians 5:13 says, “For brethren, you have been called unto liberty; only do not use liberty for an opportunity to the flesh. Rather, serve one another through love.” With all the division in our nation these days, it’s refreshing to see there are places and people who cherish God’s gift of freedom and apply that liberty to the sincere service of others. She also was Jewish. Then, a very wicked official named Haman developed a plot to exterminate all the Jewish people in the kingdom. And through a series of treacherous moves, he laid a trap for the Jews, who would be systematically executed. Esther’s cousin Mordecai also was a Jew, and he knew that she could do something to help her people. All she had to do was go and appeal to the king. But Esther was safe and secure there in the palace. Everything was going okay for her, and she was reluctant to approach the king. But Mordecai sent Esther this message: “If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14 NLT). Esther recognized what she needed to do. She appealed to the king, averted the plot, and the Jews were saved. She seized the moment. Sin isn’t simply doing what is wrong; sin also can be neglecting to do what is right. We can fail God in what He wants to do and miss out on His blessings as a result. Jesus said, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields” (Luke 10:2 NLT). Notice Jesus didn’t say that we need to pray for more observers, more spectators, or more complainers. He said that we need to pray that the Lord would “send more workers.” God can do a lot with a little. He multiplied a boy’s lunch of five loaves and two fish and fed thousands. And He can take what we have and multiply it. He can give us gifts and abilities that we’ve never had before if we simply say, “Lord, it’s not much, but it’s Yours. I give it to You. Take it over. Here I am, Lord, send me.” Will you make yourself available to God? Will you say, “Lord, I will labor in Your field”? No matter how much money you make, what career you follow, or whether you’re married or single, will you commit to never stop being available to God as a laborer in His field? Who knows whether God has not put you where you are, at this moment, for such a time as this? This world is getting darker. The only hope for our country is a spiritual awakening. We have to get the gospel out. We have to redouble our efforts as never before because time is short. The devil knows this. And certainly, he is redoubling his efforts. He’s trying to drag as many people down as he possibly can. We need to go out and make a difference while we can.
