The Targeted Killing Of Terrorists — ‘Their Blood Is On Their Own Head’ – By Amir Tsarfati - https://harbingersdaily.com/amir-tsarfati-the-targeted-killing-of-terrorists-their-blood-is-on-their-own-head/
Shalom from northern Israel! Last week I flew home after a wonderful and productive time in southern California. But, I’ll tell you, as much as I love visiting my California friends, did I ever come home at the right time. Only a few days after I arrived, the eastern Mediterranean started going crazy. There were errant missiles, major bombings, and a couple unbelievable targeted killings. But I’ll tell you all about those in the stories below. I’ve had people write to me with questions regarding my reaction to the deaths of many terrorists. I can understand why you ask, because I don’t have time to explain my underlying point of view with each Telegram post. So, let me just say that I am fully in line with what Paul wrote to Timothy when he said God “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4). In my mind, the best-case scenario would be for an evangelical revival to sweep through Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, and Iran. I would love to see Gazans on their knees, repenting and giving their lives to the Lord. That is the ideal, and I know that God could accomplish that should He choose to. However, I also know that without a saving knowledge of the Messiah, so many people do horrendous things. So, my prayer is that God stops them from carrying them out. If that costs them their lives, then so be it. Throughout Scripture we see judgment being brought on those who hurt innocents, be they Jews or Gentiles. Do I wish that Ismail Haniyeh had given his life to Jesus before he was violently blown into His presence? I do, although he would still have to pay a price on this earth for his evil deeds and treachery. But the fact was that his conscience had been seared decades ago, and he had no interest in the love and peace found in the Messiah. You also must understand that I am a Jewish Israeli follower of Christ. There have been horrendous acts carried out against my people, and they still continue with the hostages in the tunnels, the terrorist attacks on the streets, and the constant barrage of rockets from the militias. I am angry and I am disgusted that people can do these things to innocent civilians. I only need to go back and read some of David’s psalms to know that this trait runs rich in the blood of the people of Judah. So, when that emotion sometimes comes to the surface, I’d ask that you forgive me and understand the deep source from which it originates. My nation is still small enough so that when one person is hurt, we all hurt. Psalm 69:27-28 KJV – “Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness. Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.” The Children of Majdal Shams While other incidents happened on Thursday and Friday, the real insanity of the week began when Hezbollah fired a poorly aimed rocket which landed on a group of Druze schoolchildren in Majdal Shams, along the Golan Heights in Israel. It was as bad as you can imagine. Twelve children were killed, and many others were wounded. At first, the terrorist group celebrated the murder of the children, which was the worst death toll since October 7. But once they realized that the children were Druze and not Jewish, they immediately took it back. “Look what we did!” was rapidly changed to “Actually, it wasn’t us! It must have been the Iron Dome misfiring.” But there is no way out for Hezbollah with this one. Pieces of the Iranian truck-fired Falaq-1 rocket were scattered all around the site of the massacre. What will Israel do to retaliate? That was the question that ran through everyone’s mind. Sure, these were not Jewish children, but they were still Israelis and our hearts are broken for the families. A price had to be paid. Nations began pulling their officials out of Lebanon in anticipation of a massive strike. Panicked countries like Iran, Turkey, Syria, and, of course, Lebanon warned against strong action. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was still in the United States when the attack occurred, boarded his plane five hours ahead of its previously planned departure. Once back in Israel, he immediately met with the war council and the world held its breath. The Killing of Fuad Shukr While I would still not rule out a major attack in the north, it appears that Netanyahu and his war cabinet have held back on quantity in favor of quality. On Tuesday, Israeli fighter jets raced towards Beirut, where they fired missiles that killed Fuad Shukr, the most senior military commander of Hezbollah. Also known as Sayyid Mohsen, he was considered the Qassem Soleimani of the Hezbollah terrorist group. Not only was he responsible for the rocket that killed the 12 children in Majdal Shams, but he also directed Hezbollah’s attacks against Israel post-October 7. Shukr was an arms agent, responsible for bringing in the terrorist groups most advanced weapons. The U.S. State Department also took close notice, because four decades ago Shukr was a key operative in the planning and launching of the 1983 attack that killed 241 marines at their barracks in Beirut. The Killing of Ismail Haniyeh For many, that may have been enough. But these were 12 innocent children cut down while playing. Only six days after the Iranian outgoing minister of Intelligence said, “Dismantling the Mossad’s infiltration network in Iran is the greatest achievement during my tenure,” an Israeli-made Spike anti-tank guided missile was fired from a Tehran rooftop. On the receiving end was none other than Ismail Haniyeh, the chairman of Hamas’s Political Bureau. It seems the wealthy terrorist left his cushy hideaway in the safety of Qatar to attend the inauguration of Iran’s new president. Big mistake! That is when the Mossad took him out – allegedly. Israel has not claimed responsibility for Haniyeh’s death. There are those times when despite the facts that it looks like Mossad and acts like Mossad and quacks like Mossad, it’s just a rogue Iranian element that hates Hamas and hates the Islamic regime. Whoever it was who pulled the trigger on that anti-tank missiled, I cannot emphasize strongly enough how important was the removal of this man from the chessboard. Already there are demonstrations in the West Bank, and the threats have begun from President Erdoğan in Turkey and Ayatollah Khamenei in Iran, a country that now has egg on its face due to the incident. It will be interesting to see if anyone makes good their threat. In a speech from the IDF Kirya headquarters in Tel Aviv last night, PM Netanyahu reminded the nation of the importance of the battle we are in. It is a fight for our very existence against Iran’s axis of evil: Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. He recalled the targeted killing three weeks ago of Hamas chief of staff, Muhammad Daf. He brought up the massive bombing of the Houthis two weeks ago following their drone attack on Tel Aviv. Then, after the despicable murders of our children in Majdal Shams, he told how we took revenge on Fuad Shukr, a notorious terrorist wanted for crimes committed against Israel and the United States. Yes, it is taking time, he said, but that is something about which he warned from the beginning. But if this fight for peace in our land is to be done right and done permanently, we must be patient and tenacious. He also warned anyone with thoughts of taking revenge, saying, “We will settle our score with anyone who harms us. Everyone who takes aim at our children, everyone who murders our citizens, everyone who harms our country – their blood is on their own head.” President Erdoğan’s Threats Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan would do well to heed Netanyahu’s warning. His threat against Israel following Haniyeh’s elimination was his second of the week. The first was spewed Sunday, when he said, “We must be strong so Israel won’t be able to do these things to the Palestinians. Just as we invaded Karabakh and Libya, we will do the same to Israel.” These bombastic words don’t surprise me at all. With what I know about the Ezekiel 38 war, they are expected. In fact, along with the gruesome attacks and deeply lingering aftermath of the October 7 massacre, Erdoğan’s unhinged hatred of Israel makes up the plot of Steve Yohn’s and my next Nir Tavor novel, The Sick Man’s Rage. You can preorder it now before its December 3 release. Killing of Girls in England Three little girls who were enjoying a Taylor-Swift-themed dance workshop Monday were cut down by the blade of a 17-year-old. Five other children remain critical, as do two adults who tried to protect the victims. Media have been quiet about the identity of the perpetrator, but protests did break out Tuesday night with much of the anger being directed at a local mosque. Election in Venezuela The thing about tyrants, especially failed tyrants, is that they never want to go away. Case in point is Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela. By all accounts, except those of the Maduro-ites, challenger Edmundo Gonzalez won an overwhelming victory with nearly three-quarters of the vote. But Maduro wasn’t having it. He began to send out his thugs to steal ballot boxes and beat down protesters. But this time it may not be enough. Powerful street gangs, as well as members of the armed forces, who were always Maduro’s heavy fist, were seen switching sides. A growing coalition of Central and South American countries say that they will not recognize a Maduro government. It is very important for Americans to keep their eyes on Venezuela. Many of the same tactics that skewed the 2020 election in the U.S. are being used to the south. What was missing back then were the armed soldiers boldly roaming the streets. But if November’s election does not go the way of the Left, it is very possible that this may change. Remember, tyrants, especially failed tyrants, never want to go away. We are already seeing the tools of the Left as they reveal themselves in the blatant censoring of Google searches and social media surrounding the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. The Olympics Antisemitic athletes, transgender competitors, blasphemous opening ceremonies, pagan rituals, polluted water in the Seine, terrible food and uncomfortable accommodations for the athletes all based on a green agenda. I bet you all can’t wait until the radical, green lefties take over your country. The U.S. Is Not Prepared To Fight One Major War, But Three Major Wars Are Rapidly Approaching - by Michael Snyder - https://endoftheamericandream.com/the-u-s-is-not-prepared-to-fight-one-major-war-but-three-major-wars-are-rapidly-approaching/ What in the world has happened to our military? When I was growing up, I was proud that my father was an officer in the U.S. Navy. At that time we possessed the most powerful military in the entire world by a wide margin, and as a result nobody wanted to mess with us. But now everything has changed. Our military has been transformed into a “woke” joke, and we all saw what happened during the absolutely disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. We desperately need to get our act together, because war is coming. In fact, we could soon find ourselves fighting multiple major wars simultaneously. Unfortunately, a study that was just released by a congressional panel concluded that we are not even ready to fight one major war at this point… The U.S. military is no longer “prepared” to fight in a major war, according to a new study conducted by a congressional panel. Though the threats the U.S. is facing are “the most serious and most challenging” it has seen in almost a century, the U.S. defense base is not equipped to meet the moment, according to a report from the Commission on the National Defense Strategy published on Monday. Among the biggest problems outlined in the report are a troubled Pentagon and a failure by the federal government to properly address threats emanating from adversaries like China and Russia. “The United States last fought a global conflict during World War II, which ended nearly 80 years ago. The nation was last prepared for such a fight during the Cold War, which ended 35 years ago. It is not prepared today,” the commission’s report reads. How is this possible? We spent 820 billion dollars on national defense during the most recent fiscal year. Where is all of that money going? Two of the areas that the study really focused on were our “recruiting failures” and our “grossly inadequate” industrial base… The commission recommended in a 132-page report released Monday that the U.S. overhaul its national defense strategy and $900 billion defense budget to address recruiting failures, a “grossly inadequate” industrial base, and underfunded cyber and space domains. The commission was tasked by Congress with analyzing the 2022 defense strategy, which was written prior to Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine and the evolution of the strategic partnership between China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea. “There is potential for near-term war and a potential that we might lose such a conflict,” Eric Edelman, vice chairman of the Commission on the National Defense Strategy, told senators. In the days following 9/11, our military was swamped with more eager recruits than they could possibly handle. But now it has become very difficult to convince young people to join our “woke” military. In particular, male enlistment is way, way down… The issue is convincing men to put on the uniform. A decade of declining recruitment numbers for the Army is almost entirely attributable to a significant drop in male recruiting as female enlistments have remained relatively flat, internal service data reviewed by Military.com shows. Since 2013, male enlistments have dropped 35%, going from 58,000 men enlisting in 2013 to 37,700 in 2023, according to the service data. Meanwhile, female recruitment has hovered around 10,000 recruits each year. This is a topic that I have been hammering on for a long time. In fact, in my most recent book I have an entire chapter entitled “Chaos In The Military”. Sadly, most Americans have absolutely no idea how much our national defense has been compromised. As long as we don’t have to fight any major wars, our failures can be hidden to a certain extent. Unfortunately, three major wars are rapidly approaching. The Middle East is on the verge of erupting in flames, and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin says that the U.S. would intervene militarily if all-out war breaks out… The United States would help Israel defend itself should a full-scale war break out with Lebanon, the country’s Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin told reporters in the Philippines as Lebanon braced for an IDF counterstrike. “We remain concerned about the potential of this escalating into a full fight. And I don’t believe that a fight is inevitable,” Austin said. I still think that we have a couple of months before things in the region go totally haywire. Hopefully I am not wrong about that. Alarmingly, the State Department has just issued a warning instructing U.S. citizens not to travel to Lebanon right now… The United States on Wednesday urged its citizens to not travel to Lebanon, citing rising tensions between Israel and the Lebanon-based Hezbollah group. The U.S. State Department raised its travel advisory to Lebanon to level four, which says “Do Not Travel.” The State Department advised Americans in Lebanon to depart if possible. Meanwhile, the war in Ukraine just continues to escalate and the Russians are steadily gaining ground. One of the big reasons for this is that the Russians are simply outproducing us. According to CNN, the Russians are producing almost three times more artillery munitions than the United States and Europe combined… Russia appears on track to produce nearly three times more artillery munitions than the US and Europe, a key advantage ahead of what is expected to be another Russian offensive in Ukraine later this year. Russia is producing about 250,000 artillery munitions per month, or about 3 million a year, according to NATO intelligence estimates of Russian defense production shared with CNN, as well as sources familiar with Western efforts to arm Ukraine. Collectively, the US and Europe have the capacity to generate only about 1.2 million munitions annually to send to Kyiv, a senior European intelligence official told CNN. This is a failure of epic proportions. How did this happen? It appears to be just a matter of time before we come into direct conflict with the Russians, and we are definitely not prepared for that. Of course we could soon find ourselves fighting a major war with China too. The moment that China invades Taiwan, we will be at war with the Chinese. Sadly, we are not equipped to fight a war with China on the other side of the Pacific. At this point, China actually has a larger navy than we do… China now possesses the world’s largest maritime fighting force, operating 234 warships to the U.S. Navy’s 219. This count of China’s fighting ships encompasses all of its known, active-duty manned, missile- or torpedo-armed ships or submarines displacing more than 1,000 metric tons, including the 22 missile-armed corvettes recently transferred to the China Coast Guard but not the approximately 80 missile-armed small patrol craft operated by the PLAN. Of course not all of our military vessels are currently available. In fact, there is one aircraft carrier that has been getting “overhauled” since 2021 and won’t be available for service again until 2026 at the earliest… In 2021, USS John C. Stennis was sent to the shipyard for a routine Refueling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH) mission. It was supposed to take three years. Yet it will probably be delayed even past 2026. As my colleague Harrison Kass assessed, “Since 2001, the U.S. Navy has conducted seven carrier overhauls. The shortest overhaul was USS Nimitz, at 1129 days. Four overhauls took between 1,338 and 1,506 days – USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, USS Carl Vinson, USS Theodore Roosevelt, and USS Abraham Lincoln.” The most recent carrier to get an RCOH overhaul, USS George Washington, took an astonishing 2,120 days. It is pretty sad when you have a 4.5 billion dollar aircraft carrier that can’t even sail for five years. But this is our military now. We spend a ton of money on it, but we get very little in return. So we better hope for peace, because if we have to depend on our “woke” military to fight multiple major wars simultaneously we are going to be in a world of hurt. PROPHECY UPDATE VIDEOS

Here is your answer - By Greg Laurie - https://www.christianpost.com/voices/what-will-heaven-be-like-here-is-your-answer.html TIME magazine recently did a cover story with the title, “Heaven and the Afterlife: What awaits us? This article revealed that a 2021 poll from the Pew Research Center that nearly three-quarters of U.S. adults said they believe in Heaven. To learn more about the afterlife, we need to go to an authoritative source. And we have that in the Bible. Fact of the matter is, you would not even use the very word, “Heaven” if it were not for the Bible. It is a biblical word and Scripture has much to say about it. What is Heaven? Heaven is the dwelling place of God. And one day it will be our home, if we have put our faith in Jesus Christ. I love John 17, where we are given the amazing privilege of listening in to a conversation between the Son of God with His heavenly Father. Speaking of His disciples — and by extension you and me — He says, “Father, I want those you gave me to be with me, right where I am, so they can see my glory, the splendor you gave me, having loved me long before there was ever a world” (John 17:24, The Message) Jesus wants us to be with Him, in Heaven, forever. Hard as it might be to comprehend, He longs for each one of us. Sometimes we ask the question, “What is Heaven like?” Why do we ask that question? Maybe it’s because we have all collected a lot of strange, cartoony, caricatured versions of Heaven. We think of ourselves sitting around in bathrobes on fluffy white clouds plucking harps, with fat little baby angels hovering above us with tiny wings. That’s fine for the cartoons, but it has nothing to do with the real, biblical vision of the afterlife. Maybe instead of asking “What is Heaven like” we should be asking, “What is earth like?” What is earth like, at its best? My friend told me about his elderly Christian grandmother from Nebraska, seeing the Pacific Ocean for the first time. She stood on a cliff, gazing out to sea, trying to take it all in, and watching the seagulls ride the air currents without even flapping their wings. She said, “Someday I will fly — just like that.” My friend was seeing the majesty of that scene through her eyes, and it seemed like a glimpse of Heaven. Have you had a glimpse like that recently? Think of the most amazing sunset you have ever seen. Think of the thundering waterfall, the crashing ocean waves, the field of wildflowers, or the mist rising from a mountain lake early in the morning. Think about the most mind-blowing architecture you have ever laid eyes on. The most incredible city you have ever visited. Or go back in your life for a moment and remember golden moments — some of the best and most beautiful times you have had with family and friends. These are tiny keyhole glimpses of Heaven. Because Heaven is not an imitation of earth. Earth is an imitation of Heaven. In the book of Hebrews, the author speaks of earthly things as a shadow, and Heaven as the reality (Hebrews 10:1). The very, very best that you have ever experienced on this earth or ever will experience will be vastly better in Heaven. Heaven will answer the ache in your heart for a place you have never even seen. C. S. Lewis wrote: “The fact that our heart yearns for something Earth can’t supply is proof that Heaven must be our home.” In the classic Chronicles of Narnia series, Lewis imagines the words of someone seeing Heaven for the first time. He says, “I have come home at last! This is my real country! I belong here. This is the land I have been looking for all my life, though I never knew it.” Heaven is a real place for real people to do real things. Jesus said, “There are many homes up there where my Father lives, and I am going to prepare them for your coming” (John 14:2, TLB). And by the way, He has had over 2,000 years to do that! What will it be like? The apostle Paul had the unique experience of dying, going to Heaven and then returning. He didn’t write a book about it, or record a podcast, and he didn’t do cable news interviews. In fact, he didn’t tell us much about it. Many scholars believe this took place outside of Lystra, where Paul had been stoned by a mob and left for dead in Acts 14. He wrote about it in his letter to the Corinthians, saying that he “was seized by Christ and swept in ecstasy to the heights of Heaven. I really don’t know if this took place in the body or out of it; only God knows.” He went on to say that he was “highjacked into paradise” and “heard the unspeakable spoken,” but was forbidden from talking about it (2 Corinthians 12:2,3,4, Message). Paul doesn’t provide much information, and he didn’t post pictures on Instagram. But he did give us this hint. Having been there, briefly, he spent the rest of his life wanting to go back. He wrote: “I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me” (Philippians 1:23, TLB). He tells the believers, in effect, “Yes, I like hanging out with you guys and talking about the Lord. But I would rather be with the Lord. The sooner the better!” When I want to know about a place I’d like to visit, I try to talk to someone who has been there. If I’m planning to visit a city like New York or Chicago, I try to find someone who has recently been there or lived there. I will ask about places to stay, places to see, and (most important) the best places to eat. I want to talk to someone who actually knows the place. There is only one person who is a reliable source on the afterlife who has been there and returned. Jesus Christ. In fact, Jesus said in John 6:38 (NLT), “I have come down from Heaven to do the will of God.” He came down from Heaven. But He didn’t just come to earth to tell us about Heaven. He came to open a door to Heaven so that we can actually live there after we pass from this earth. He said, “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture” (John 10:9, NKJV). Because of the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, if you are a Christian, you will have life after death in Heaven. I want to emphasize that this is for believers only, not for those who do not believe. Heaven is not the default destination of every person. It is only the destination of the person who has put his or her faith in Christ. What happens when we die? That all depends. If you are a Christian, you go straight to Heaven. The apostle Paul said that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Our body goes into the ground, but our spirit goes right into the presence of God. You will close your eyes on earth and then open them in Heaven. We know this because 1 Corinthians 15:21 says, “Since by man came death, by man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.” Jesus overcame death at the cross — for all of us. The Bible says that “each person is destined to die once” (Hebrews 9:27, NLT). Scripture also tells us there is a generation — and we may be that generation — that will not see death at all. We may be those “who will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever” (1 Thessalonians 4:17, NLT). For those of us who have placed our trust in the Lord Jesus for salvation, and belong to Him, we may be less than an eyeblink away from our forever Home. When you know you have loved ones who have preceded you to Heaven, you can have confidence that you will see them one day. I will see my son Christopher again in Heaven. I will see my mom and dad again. I will see the Lord Jesus who loves me and opened the door for me. Nonbelievers don’t have this hope and rely on fantasies, fictional speculation, and vague hopes about life after death. I would rather rely on a document we can trust. In the Bible, God has told us how to safely reach the Other Side. Do you want to know the way? Jesus is the Way. Life After Death Is Real! Here Are 5 Examples Of People That Met Jesus During Near Experiences - by Michael Snyder - https://endoftheamericandream.com/life-after-death-is-real-here-are-5-examples-of-people-that-met-jesus-during-near-death-experiences/ We aren’t supposed to talk about what happens after we die. In fact, our society trains us not to even think about it. But the clock is ticking. Your body is wearing out and your time is limited. Of course, the truth is that your number could be up at any time. If you died tonight, where would you go? The good news is that “the other side” is not a mystery. Countless numbers of people have been to “the other side” and have come back to tell us about it. According to a study that was conducted in 2019, approximately 10 percent of the entire population has had a near death experience. In this article, I am going to share 5 examples of people that actually met Jesus during their near death experiences. #1 A 6-year-old girl named Zola Tomic was in the hospital to have her tonsils removed, but after the surgery she “began to bleed and hemorrhage for nearly ten days” due to a very rare genetic disorder. She lost a tremendous amount of blood and it was during this time that she met Jesus. After she recovered, she asked a question that absolutely floored her mother… Zola asked her mom, “When can I go see God again?” “It’s something even to this day that I still can’t even comprehend,” Brittani said. “I was getting her ready and, it wasn’t even like we were talking about anything God-related beforehand, we were just getting ready to go to gymnastics. And she just asked, ‘When can I see God again?'” Her mom was confused and taken back by her question, so she asked Zola, “When did you see God?” Zola replied with the most stunning statement, “The night I died.” During the time she was out of her body, Zola experienced many things. At one point, Jesus actually “thanked her for loving him and being his friend”… Over time, Zola began to talk more and more about being with Jesus. She told her mother that she remembers God giving her a big hug. Zola said everything looked like a rainbow and Jesus had thanked her for loving him and being his friend. I can’t even imagine how wonderful that must have been, and I am very thankful that Zola is sharing her story with the world. #2 A Georgia man named Mike McKinsey says that his appendix ruptured just before his son’s wedding. He went to the hospital for surgery, and during that surgery he died and found himself standing directly in front of Jesus… After becoming sick in the days before his son’s wedding, he learned his appendix had ruptured. Surgery began — and then, he said, there was Jesus Christ, the Son and very incarnation of God himself, right beside him. With dark skin and blueish-green eyes, Jesus did not look like the man often depicted in the U.S., McKinsey said. Still, McKinsey said he knew exactly who he was looking at. When Jesus started to speak to him, McKinsey quickly realized that he must be dead… McKinsey said this was no dream or ghostly affair: Jesus was a physical, embodied presence, he said, adding that the Son of God held out his hand and said, “I want to answer your prayer.” McKinsey said he felt confused. “And I thought, ‘Oh shoot, I was at the wedding — wait, I think I was having surgery by now, right?’ — and trying to put it all together. And then I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, I think I’m dead.’ The doctors were ultimately able to bring him back, but this is an experience that McKinsey will remember for the rest of his life. #3 When author Randy Kay died, he also had an encounter with Jesus, and he says that he was absolutely overwhelmed by the love that he felt… Kay recalled feeling compelled to call out Jesus’ name at one point during the experience. After doing so, he said he was immediately next to a figure whom he knew was Christ. “I was so overwhelmed with emotion, and my first thought was, ‘So, this is love?’ And I just caved,” he said. “And I started shouting every superlative I could think of — ‘Praise you, Lord God!’ And then He reached down, and He wrapped His arms around me.” Kay described feeling an unimaginable love in those moments — something he called the “most incredible experience,” with Jesus imploring Kay to trust Him. Ultimately, Kay said God told him he needed to return home, a reality that left him deeply saddened, considering the paradise he was experiencing. Love that is so powerful that it is beyond words is a common theme in near death experiences. Without a doubt, virtually all of us would like to personally experience that sort of love. #4 Meeting Jesus is most certainly not just a western phenomenon. For example, the son of a Muslim sheik in Rwanda had a truly remarkable encounter with Jesus when he died… Swidiq, the son of a Muslim sheik, grew up in Rwanda during the genocide. When he died and had an NDE, he found himself in a hellish place. Into this darkness came a man of light, bright like the sun. “He lifted his hands slightly, with palms up, revealing holes in each hand…He spoke, clear and firm, ‘I died for mankind. And you are among those I died for. Do not deny it again. You must tell others,’” Swidiq said. #5 All over the world, people are coming face to face with the Son of God. All her life, a 16-year-old Jewish girl named Heidi was told that there is no God and that Jesus is a hoax, but then she personally met Jesus during her near death experience… Heidi’s family was Jewish, but her atheist father chanted a mantra to her daily, “There is no God. When you die, you cease to exist. Jesus Christ was the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on mankind.” Despite this, Heidi prayed to God every night and felt God near her, comforting her through the abuses of her childhood. At 16, when Heidi’s horse reared back and landed on her, she found herself up in the air looking down on the accident. A brilliant light shone from behind her. “I turned to look, and I saw a man floating there with me…I recognized Him immediately. How could I not? This was the man, God, who had been at my bedside every single night…There was no doubt in my mind, not one. This man was, without question, Jesus, or Yeshua,” she recalled. “His was the name I’d never been allowed to utter in my home…What a joyous occasion! He grinned at me, every bit as happy as I was, happier, because He is all joy, and He is all happiness.” It is very important to note that all near death experiences are not positive. In fact, some are absolutely terrifying. When journalist Sebastian Junger died, a giant black pit opened up underneath him and he felt like he was being pulled directly into it… The doctor was busy trying to put a large-gauge needle into my jugular vein through my neck. They numb you with lidocaine, so actually I didn’t feel much except the pressure. But at any rate, they were working on that and it seemed to take a long time and suddenly this black pit opened up underneath me and it felt as though I was getting pulled into it. You can think of me as extremely drunk. I’m like, “Whoa, what’s that?” It didn’t occur to me that a black pit suddenly appearing makes no sense. I was just like, “Oh, there’s the pit. “Why am I getting pulled into it?” I didn’t know I was dying, but I sort of had this animal sense that you don’t want to go into the infinitely black pit that just opened up underneath you, that’s just a bad idea. And if you get sucked in there, you’re probably not coming back. That was the feeling I had about it. Everyone is going somewhere. Which side will you choose? Please choose wisely, and please share these testimonies with as many people as you can because the clock is ticking for all of us. Daily Jot: The American Chronicles: Camping family style - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com One of the many joys of camping is spending time with family. My sister-and-brother-in-law, Cindy and Steve, host a family camping experience on steroids. That’s right. They live on the lake in Portage Lakes, Ohio. The front yard is the lake with majestic views of the water, a pontoon boat, fishing dock, kayaks, and yard games. The back yard is converted to a miniature RV park, complete with 30-amp electric hookups and a ten-foot in diameter fire pit gathering place where marshmallows and smores are roasted while we all visiting around the campfire to the wee hours in the morning. Each year in mid-July their estate on the lake turns into a family playground and an RV camping village. My wife, Chris, has four siblings—Cindy, Randy, Cathy and Joe—and they are all gourmet cooks. Each take a day to cook for the growing family, now 35-plus ranging from 2 years old to 92 (matriarch Loretta, mom of the sibs). First up was Joe with the Friday morning breakfast on his amazing Blackstone, followed by Cathy and her Italian cuisine, Randy with his smoked ribs and brisket. Cindy did a burrito bar and waffles. Chris and our daughter Andrea rounded out Sunday morning with a French toast casserole and crustless smoked gouda and bacon quiche. There is never a lack of food and really high-quality leftovers to feed this crowd of campers, who either have RVs, tents or turn Cindy and Steve’s place into a dormitory! Steve always says the blessing and gives the order of food distribution after the “Amen.” “Ladies first,” he says. Chris, Service Dog Charlie, and I usually start our morning in the RV camping village with a cup of coffee or tea. We can review what we are doing during the day and kind of coordinate our thoughts a bit. This year was really special for us because our son Christian and future daughter-in-law Claire came up from Washington, DC to join us. They are getting married in England next spring (They have blessed me with the honor of officiating, Lord willing). Some of the family will not be able to attend so the pre-nups received an early wedding gift of high-end crystal glasses. They had a great time visiting with the family and even some alone time to watch the sunset over the lake (well, at least they thought they were alone as my ever-present camera caught the moment). Each night, we all gathered around the campfire to enjoy the mesmerizing flames and visit with one another. This is not really an official family reunion as yet, but it seems like it is headed in that direction. Food is served family-style. Conversation is family-style. It’s camping family-style. We all enjoy one another’s company, and we can take a break from time to time in our RVs. For those of us that RV, it is a welcome concept that brings family together in a unique way. For others, Cindy and Steve’s is a resort that the entire family can enjoy together. The Psalmist declares: “How good it is when God’s people live in unity!” It is good. Faith. Family. Food. Camping family style. Daily Devotion: He Knows Our Needs - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need. —Psalm 23:1 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/he-knows-our-needs/ - Listen As one of the most well-known passages in the Bible, and certainly the most well-known and beloved of the psalms, Psalm 23 has given people untold encouragement and comfort throughout the centuries. And when we consider the content of the psalm that precedes it and the psalm that follows it, Psalm 23 makes a lot of sense. Psalm 22 presents Jesus as the suffering Savior. It gives a graphic account of His crucifixion, including references to the way He would die. Then, Psalm 24 speaks of Christ’s return. When He comes again, He will be wearing not a crown of thorns but a crown of glory as He comes to establish His kingdom on Earth. Between these two psalms is Psalm 23, where David presents Jesus as the Good Shepherd. Thus, we see Jesus as the suffering Savior in Psalm 22, the Good Shepherd in Psalm 23, and the returning King in Psalm 24. Taken together, these psalms give us a picture of who God is. David was a shepherd and the son of a shepherd. In fact, the Bible refers to him as the shepherd king of Israel (see 2 Samuel 5:2; 1 Chronicles 11:2; Ezekiel 37:24). Perhaps one day, as he was looking over his flock of sheep, he started reflecting on the things about sheep that reminded him of himself. There is a lot we can say about sheep. They have many strange characteristics. For example, they don’t take care of themselves and need constant attention. Sheep completely depend on the shepherd for sustenance, protection, and guidance. Picking up on this theme in John 10, Jesus said, “He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. They won’t follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don’t know his voice” (verses 3–5 NLT). In fact, we see the theme of God as Shepherd and His people as sheep repeated throughout Scripture. Isaiah 40:11 says, “He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young” (NLT). And Isaiah 53 tells us, “All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all” (verse 6 NLT). Peter wrote, “Once you were like sheep who wandered away. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls” (1 Peter 2:25 NLT). A shepherd comes to know the unique characteristics of each sheep. As David wrote in another psalm, “You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away” (Psalm 139:2 NLT). Not only does the Good Shepherd know our natures, but He knows our needs. And when God looks at you, He knows the deepest needs of your life.
