What we just witnessed in the Middle East shocked the entire globe. Sadly, a lot more death and destruction is coming. Whether they are both willing to admit it or not, the truth is that Israel and Hezbollah are at war. It is just a limited war for now, but it is only a matter of time before it escalates into an “all-out war” that kills vast numbers of people on both sides. It doesn’t take much imagination to figure out how this ends. When there is an existential conflict that involves two parties which absolutely refuse to back down, only one party is ultimately going to survive. Unfortunately, most people have absolutely no idea what is coming. It appears that we may have already reached a point of no return. After the attack that occurred on Tuesday, Hezbollah will be more determined to wipe out Israel than ever before… At about 3:30 p.m. local time on Tuesday, pagers started heating up and then exploding in the pockets and hands of those carrying them — particularly in a southern Beirut suburb and the Beqaa region of eastern Lebanon where Hezbollah has a strong presence, and in Damascus, where several Hezbollah members were wounded, Lebanese security officials and a Hezbollah official said. The Hezbollah official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the press. When I first heard about this, it sounded like something out of a science fiction movie. Apparently the pagers that exploded had been recently purchased by Hezbollah… The pagers that exploded had been newly acquired by Hezbollah after the group’s leader ordered members to stop using cell phones, warning they could be tracked by Israeli intelligence. A Hezbollah official told The Associated Press the pagers were a new brand the group had not used before. So how in the world did Israel pull this off? As I write this article, there are two main theories that are being floated… It’s not currently clear exactly how the explosions happened. Two main theories are being bandied about by security experts. Some believe Israel, through its shadow Mossad intelligence agency, managed to send out a mass cyberattack that overheated the lithium ion batteries of the pagers. Others believe Mossad was able to slip into Hezbollah’s supply chain, sneaking explosive material into the pagers as they were manufactured, which would later be triggered by a mass message to the devices. It seems unlikely that simply overheating the lithium ion batteries of the pagers could have caused the immense devastation that we witnessed. At least one news source is claiming that the Mossad was somehow able to implant explosive material inside the devices before they were delivered to Hezbollah… Sky News Arabia quotes sources saying that today’s large-scale pager attack in Lebanon was possible because the Mossad spy agency got hold of Hezbollah’s communication devices before they were handed over to the terror group. The Israeli spy agency placed a quantity of PETN, a highly explosive material, on the batteries of the devices, and detonated them by raising the temperature of the batteries from afar, the source says. I think that all of us will be looking at our electronic devices differently from this point forward. When they woke up on Tuesday, thousands of Hezbollah militants had no idea that they were about to be maimed by the pagers that they were carrying around… Video footage from inside a Beirut supermarket appears to show the moment Israel sent out its deadly message. A Hezbollah attacker was seen confusedly lifting his shirt up at a supermarket after getting a message on his pager, which lit up. He stared at it for a second before it detonated, collapsing him in an instant as supermarket workers and fellow shoppers panicked and fled. After the explosions occurred, local hospitals were soon overwhelmed by the injured and the dying… Another video showed patients writhing on the floor in agony as medical staff try desperately to treat them. White bandages can be seen wrapped around the limbs of people inside a hospital, with doctors’ white coats covered in blood as they try to get through the throng of people inside the medical institution. Men, women and children can be heard howling in agony, while doctors and nurses try to shout over the noise to communicate with each other. As I write this article, it is being reported that 11 people are dead and approximately 4,000 more have been wounded… Lebanon’s health ministry updates the death toll in the pager explosions to 11. Another 4,000 are wounded, including 400 in critical condition, according to ministry numbers cited by Arabic-language media. After what we just witnessed, the conflict should be over. If Hezbollah was smart, they would throw in the towel and pull their forces north of the Litani River. But that isn’t going to happen. Instead, the thirst for revenge will just be even stronger than it was before. Of course Israel is not going to back down either. There are approximately 100,000 Israelis that have not been able to return to their homes in northern Israel for months, and Hezbollah continues to strike targets in Israeli territory on a regular basis. So it appears that the IDF will soon be conducting a major military operation in southern Lebanon… Israel has for months warned that it could launch a military operation to drive Hezbollah away from its border. Orna Mizrachi, a former Israeli national security official, said in a call with reporters that the pager attack could signal that Israel is about to change its Gaza war strategy, where it has been fighting Hamas for almost a year, and move its main front to the north to fight Hezbollah. There are some experts that are suggesting that Israel may initiate such an operation before the U.S. presidential election in November. If an all-out war between Israel and Hezbollah erupts, it is going to make the Biden/Harris administration look really bad, and it will likely cost Kamala Harris thousands of Muslim votes in Michigan and other swing states. Needless to say, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not want Kamala Harris to win the election. But when all-out war erupts, Israel isn’t just going to be fighting Hezbollah. For years, Iran has been arming groups throughout the region “for this very showdown”… The Houthis in Yemen, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Shiite militias in Syria and Iraq, and the terrorist organizations in Gaza, Judea and Samaria – for years Iran has been equipping its allies for this very showdown. If all of Israel’s enemies unite, IDF forces will quickly find themselves outnumbered. But of course Israel possesses technology that the other side does not. When push comes to shove, both sides will try to absolutely crush one another, and that will be truly horrifying to watch. When I write about “apocalyptic” wars, I am not exaggerating one bit. It would be in everyone’s best interest for opposing sides to step back from the brink in the Middle East, in Ukraine, and elsewhere. The wars that are in our future are going to involve weapons of unthinkable destructive power, and those wars are going to be far more horrible than most people would dare to imagine. Experts Warn: The UN’s Goal Is For America To ‘Surrender Its Sovereignty To A Global Government’ – Sarah Holiday - https://harbingersdaily.com/the-uns-goal-is-for-america-to-surrender-its-sovereignty-to-a-global-government-experts-warn/ On a breezy, rainy day in Washington D.C., lawmakers and other experts joined together to “raise the alarm,” as expressed by Reggie Littlejohn, co-founder of Sovereignty Coalition and president of Anti-Globalist International about the Pact for the Future. As Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.) stated in the press conference Tuesday afternoon, this United Nations (U.N.) project is “the most important issue that’s getting the least amount of attention relative to its importance in our country.” As The Heritage Foundation explained, “In short, the Pact for the Future is an overt effort by the secretary-general to affirm that the United Nations should be the primary venue for addressing international development, international peace and security, and emerging technologies and innovations under its global governance.” Under its accurate definition, the Pact “is an unwise effort to bestow additional responsibilities on an organization that is unable to manage its current remit.” In effect, supporting these efforts at the U.N. and the World Health Organization (WHO) is a vote to forfeit America’s sovereignty over its own affairs, experts say. “The Biden-Harris administration,” Good added, “apparently intends to fully support the surrender and compliance of the U.S. to the U.N. in these endeavors.” The current administration is “aligned with the international globalists that hate America, that hate the Constitution, that hate our Founders,” and “our founding Judeo-Christian principals,” he added. The House of Representatives passed the No WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty Without Senate Approval Act (H.R. 1425) last week by a narrow 219-199 vote. The bill, introduced by Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-Wis.), was “designed to protect the United States from globalist dictates and pandemic-style lockdowns” that the pact currently threatens America with. But just how big is this threat? And why are so few Americans aware of it? According to Good, this pact could swing open the door for the U.N. and the WHO to have authority “to require such things as their international health regulations, including the surveillance of U.S. citizens, the censoring of dissenting views, and much more.” Ultimately, he urged, “The American people didn’t vote for this, and they don’t support this,” which is why “it’s up to the people’s representatives … to expose” and “reject this.” Speaking at the press conference, Rep. Ralph Norman (R-N.C.) stated that what happens during the Summit for the Future later this month when the pact is discussed involves the risk of ceding “America’s authority, America’s sovereignty, to … China.” He emphasized, “This is a top-line issue that America must be made aware of. … The WHO needs to be defunded. … We need to do away with it.” And as the Sovereignty Coalition’s Frank Gaffney contended, “Make no mistake about it,” the “surrender of our sovereignty to global government” is “the agenda of the U.N. Summit of the Future.” It’s “unmistakably what they hope to put in train with their so-called Pact of the Future.” What “is absolutely infuriating about all of this,” Gaffney continued, “is … [that] most people in the media, most people in government, certainly the vast majority of Americans, have no idea this is even going on.” To elaborate, Good shared in an exclusive comment to The Washington Stand how Americans are “not aware” for a number of reasons. First, he said, the Biden administration “really doesn’t want [people] to be aware.” So they aren’t “talking about their intent to subordinate the United States to the governance of the U.N., the WHO, and [other] entities.” Second, “Congress is not appropriately focused,” even despite efforts “for the better part of a year to try to bring attention to this issue.” Ultimately, “It’s difficult to get attention on it if … House leadership has not engaged on it.” And “the media plays a role” as well, he pointed out. “The media is not talking about it.” These realities are what led Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) to argue that we can’t allow this administration to “turn over our health care apparatus to folks from … [an] institution that has no concern for us.” Echoing this, Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas) warned, “As a physician who has followed the WHO for many years now … I can tell you that the WHO in particular, and the U.N. in general, do not represent what’s best for this country. In fact, they do everything they can to undermine us and defeat us.” Jackson declared, “I am a firm believer … that, from this point forward, we should never give another penny to the World Health Organization.” Family Research Council President Tony Perkins also voiced his concern during the conference, describing the pact as a “global power grab.” As he noted, Brazil taking away access to the X social media platform is a recent example of what it looks like for “governments to silence and censor dissenting voices.” But “in America, we cherish the First Amendment, we cherish our freedom, and we cherish our families. Both are endangered under this pandemic accord.” Noting that Tuesday was Constitution Day, Kris Ullman, president of Eagle Forum, concluded that bringing awareness and speaking out about the dangers the U.N. and the WHO represent is “the first step to get us back to constitutional order” and protecting America’s sovereignty. Editor’s Desk: Why Is This News Biblically Relevant? Author Jonathan Brentner, in his recent article “The UN 2.0,” wrote: Within the “Pact for the Future,” the UN website states that nations will recommit themselves to the seventeen sustainable development goals, affirm their desire for “Peace and Security,” and reaffirm their desire for “Transforming Global Governance” (in other words, a one-world government). Though it’s more than a little distressing to consider the implications of a more powerful UN committed to its Marxist 2030 Agenda, the Bible tells us that we should expect such things in the last days. The books of Daniel and Revelation reveal that in the end times, a brutal one-world government will rise to power over which the “man of lawlessness” will eventually assume control (see also 2 Thessalonians 2:3-8). There was a time when something like this would have been considered an attack on all of us. But today things are completely different. Many on the left are doing their best to downplay what just happened because it might help Trump get more votes. And just like last time, there are some that truly wish that he had been killed. They have worked themselves up into such a frenzy of hatred that they are actually hoping for the death of their political opponents. Of course the same thing is true for some people on the right as well. There was so much hate for Joe Biden when he was the Democratic nominee, and now there seems to be even more hate for Kamala Harris. This is not the way to achieve anything. We will never win by hating our enemies. We win by loving our enemies and using the truth to persuade them to come over to our side. If people perceive that you hate them, they will be extremely unlikely to listen to what you have to say. But if people perceive that you love them, they will be much more likely to listen to what you have to say. To love someone does not mean that you agree with them. Personally, I fundamentally disagree with almost everything that our politicians do, and I express my opinions very strongly. But I am not against anyone. Ultimately, I want the best for everyone and for our society as a whole. If we do not learn how to love one another, we simply aren’t going to make it as a society. Today, there are millions upon millions of Americans that deeply hate entire groups of people for one reason or another. I have never seen so much hatred, and this is the most divided that our nation has been in my entire lifetime. Where do you think that all of this hatred is going to get us? Everyone can see that this election is going to end very badly. If we stay on the path that we are on, it is just a matter of time before we see uncontrolled chaos in our streets. Is that what you want? I sure don’t. One of the reasons why I write the way that I do is so that people will wake up and choose to change direction before it is too late. Because right now America is on a road that only leads to disaster. We are being fed a constant diet of hatred, and just look at what this has done to our society. According to one recent survey, 41 percent of Americans are currently experiencing “peak stress”… In a year marked by financial worries and political tension, a new survey has uncovered the staggering impact of stress on everyday Americans. The average person feels their head “spinning” from stress a whopping 156 times per year, translating to about three times a week. This alarming statistic is just one of many eye-opening findings from a recent study conducted by Talker Research for Traditional Medicinals. The survey, which polled 2,000 adults, also found that 41% of respondents are currently experiencing their peak stress levels for the year. That is almost half the country! Another recent survey discovered that the percentage of Americans that have been clinically diagnosed with depression at some point in their lives is at the highest level ever… According to survey data, three in ten people in the United States had been clinically diagnosed with depression at a point in their lives in 2023. As Statista’s Anna Fleck points out in the chart below, this is the highest rate since the question started being asked, up 10.6 percentage points from 2015. The rate of increase was particularly steep in the first year of the pandemic, jumping up from 22.9 percent in 2020 to 28.6 percent in 2021. Sadly, levels of depression are especially high among women and among young people… According to the survey, 36.7 percent of women report having been diagnosed with depression in their lifetimes versus 20.4 percent of men. For young people aged 18-29, 34.3 percent had been diagnosed with depression, while for 30-44 year olds it was 34.9 percent. If we keep going down this path, our mental health is only going to get worse. At this stage, even many of our children are really struggling… A recent study from the University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital has uncovered an often-overlooked aspect of childhood development, finding a surprising number of children struggle to make friends. In fact, the poll finds one in five parents fear their children currently have no friends at all. Imagine being a kid without a buddy to share your favorite video game with or someone to sit next to on the school bus. It’s a reality for more children than we might think. The poll of 1,031 parents with kids between six and 12 years-old reveals that 20% of kids potentially feel lonely or isolated during crucial years of social development. I could go on and on about what a giant mess our society has become. Needless to say, hating people is not the way out of this mess. There are a lot of people out there that seem to believe that if they are going to be truly radical for a cause they must have someone to hate. No. If you want to be truly radical, become a person of great love. Of course a person of great love tells the truth, and when you share the truth with others you will often be hated for it. But if you respond with hate when others hate you, you will never win. It is so easy to get pulled into all of the negativity that we see online and in the mainstream media these days. Often, those that are the most filled with hate are the ones that get the most attention. We must resist that temptation. If we keep going the same direction that we have been going, there is no future for our country. Love is the answer, but right now hatred just continues to grow all around us. Reading Israel Out of Biblical Prophecy: The Crafty Playbook Of Replacement Theology – Cameron Joyner - https://harbingersdaily.com/reading-israel-out-of-biblical-prophecy-the-crafty-playbook-of-replacement-theology/ Away with Israel! Anyone watching today’s news has likely heard these words. It’s the chief demand of the antisemitic protests around the world. Sadly, this sentiment has existed in certain Christian theological circles long before Israel’s current war with Hamas. Perhaps you’ve wondered, How does Replacement Theology (Supersessionism) allow for self-professed Christians to join the many protests against modern Israel’s existence? How do pro-Palestinian protesters find support from some claiming to be Christians, especially since the Bible is clear about God’s plan to restore Israel to the land? One primary strategy involves creatively reading Israel out of the Bible. We need to know how this is done to avoid being deceived. God’s Promise of Israel’s Restoration Ezekiel 36—37 holds an astonishing prophecy about Israel’s restoration. A plain-sense reading of Ezekiel 36:1–15 produces the following: The Lord vowed that Israel’s enemies will bear their shame, and its desolate land will soon “shoot forth … branches and yield … fruit to My people Israel” (v. 8). Speaking directly to the land and not the people, God is clear that He will multiply the Israelites on this land again with finality. The land will no longer devour men, bereave Israel of its children, bear the reproach of Gentiles, or cause stumbling (vv. 13–15). Transitioning from speaking to the land, Ezekiel 36:16–38 records God’s message to the people. A plain-sense reading of these verses renders the following: Israel’s dispersion will be reversed, not because Israel deserves it, but because God is protecting His Name. He swore to give this land to Abraham and his descendants forever (Genesis 17:8; Ezekiel 47:14); therefore, Israel’s dispersion brings charges of dishonesty against God. He promised to bring Israel back, cleanse it, give it a new, obedient heart, multiply the people, and make its land like Eden. The Gentiles will know that God is the one who restored Israel (v. 36). In chapter 37, Ezekiel received a vision of dry bones, symbolizing Israel’s restoration. The text plainly states that the bones represent Israel (v. 11). Ezekiel prophesied of a regathered Israel with no Spirit (Hebrew, ruach) [vv. 7–8]. Then, he foretold of the Spirit entering the regathered nation (vv. 9–10). Israel will be one kingdom again (vv. 21–22), unlike the days after King Solomon’s reign. This Kingdom will have a Davidic King, an everlasting covenant of peace, a sanctuary, and, again, the Gentiles will know this is God’s doing. The Replacement Theology debate will be put to rest. Twisting Prophecy About Israel How does one twist a text as clear as Ezekiel 36—37? Consider the strategy of American theologian O. Palmer Robertson, who dares to suggest that what Ezekiel saw was only a shadow, which never fully captured the reality of what God had in mind. Robertson wrote in The Israel of God: This perspective provides insight into the return to the land as described by Ezekiel and the other prophets. … These writers could only employ images with which they and their hearers were familiar. So they spoke of a return to the geographical land of Israel. Indeed there was a return [post-Babylon] to this land though hardly on the scale prophesied by Ezekiel. But in the context of the realities of the new covenant, this land must be understood in terms of the newly recreated cosmos … in Romans. The whole universe (which is “the land” from a new covenant perspective) groans in travail, waiting for the redemption that will come with the resurrection of the bodies of the redeemed (Romans 8:22–23). The return to paradise in the framework of the new covenant does not involve merely a return to the shadowy forms of the old covenant. It means the rejuvenation of the entire earth. By this renewal of the entire creation, the old covenant’s promise of land finds its new covenant realization. Crafty. Can anyone seriously claim to know better than Ezekiel, a prophet who heard directly from God? Robertson asserts that Ezekiel couldn’t mean what he said. Ezekiel mentions the house of Israel, and Robertson reinterprets it to mean all who are saved. Ezekiel mentions the land of Israel, and Robertson reinterprets it to all of creation, manipulating Romans 8. This epitome of intellectual arrogance begs theologian Erwin Lutzer’s question in Forsaking Israel: How it Happened and Why it Matters, “If God didn’t mean what He said, why didn’t He say what He meant?” Turning the New Testament Against the Old Note Robertson’s strategy. He used the New Testament to reinterpret the Old. Are we to believe God can’t simultaneously restore all of creation and Israel to its geographic Promised Land? What Robertson did is part of the same playbook that other Replacement theologians use to read Israel out of biblical prophecy, sometimes in support of the Palestinians today. In What Should We Think About Israel, Paul Wilkinson astutely observed, “Whenever the thorny issue of Bible prophecy is addressed, words such as redefine, reinterpret, and reconstitute are frequently used … arguing that Christ came to redefine and reinterpret the meaning of Israel, people of God, chosen, and Promised Land.” Meanwhile, even where the New Testament affirms the Old, Israel has been reconstituted by supersessionists. Moses established that Israel would be drawn to repentance with the Tribulation (Deuteronomy 4:30–31). Jesus foretells that “after the tribulation … all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels … and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other” (Matthew 24:29–31). Despite this prophecy’s connection to Zechariah 12, Daniel 7, and Deuteronomy 30, Supersessionism considers this a gathering of the church. In this view, the judgment of the nations that follows Israel’s repentance in Matthew 25:31–46 cannot be connected to Joel 3:1–3. They find the Jewish Messiah’s judgment of Gentiles for how Israel has been treated too inconvenient, so they reinterpret the Matthew 25 judgment to be general. If we consistently apply a plain-sense, literal, grammatical-historical interpretation to the Bible, we find assurance that God will restore Israel while saving the world. One day, the world will know it is God who keeps Israel (Psalm 121:4). Daily Jot: Stupidocrisy: Kamala’s brand of freedom - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com Kamala Harris talks a lot about freedom in her policy page “A New Way Forward.” Her policy page says, “Vice President Harris’ fight for our future is also a fight for freedom. In this election, many fundamental freedoms are at stake: the freedom to make your own decisions about your own body without government interference; the freedom to love who you love openly and with pride; and the freedom that unlocks all the others: the freedom to vote.” These so-called freedoms are the exact things that put people in bondage, which Galatians 5:1 says, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Each of Harris’ freedoms are entangled with sin. The freedom to make your own decisions about your own body without government interference is about killing the unborn. Harris wants to make a universal law that allows all abortion. She vows to overturn the Supreme Court’s decision to turn the abortion laws over to the states. She says this has resulted in women “miscarrying in parking lots” and “losing the ability to ever have children again.” Of course, there are no names connected with this claim or reasons why, but Harris to says that abortion should be legal to protect healthcare of women and allow them to grow their families. How do you grow families by killing your babies? The government has a duty to protect life. Beyond government, God’s law is to choose life. Choosing death is a place of bondage. The freedom to love who you love openly and with pride is using a simplistic saying to promote the entire sodomy agenda. These are code words for promoting the most destructive sexual agenda in history. This a policy statement that leaves the door open for grooming young children to become entangled in the morass of sexual deviancy and mental sickness. These people have stated repeatedly that they are coming after your children. They want to teach confusion. They want to promote sodomy as normal. They want to convince your children that they are a gender other than the one they are born with. And they will use the bully pulpit of academia and policy to do it. These are the very underpinnings of destroying families and the structure of society. Author confusion wherever possible to gain control of a people and put them in untenable bondage. Finally, Harris wants “the freedom that unlocks all the others: the freedom to vote.” In this constitutional republic only qualified voters are allowed to vote in a presidential election. Those requirements are one must be 18 years of age, an American citizen, meet their state’s residency requirements, and be registered to vote. There are three areas that will control whether there are guarantees of voter freedom: Whether a state requires voter identification to vote; if voter rolls are up to date; and if ballots can be authenticated. But amazingly, He had an almost impossible time reaching religious and moral people who were under the delusion that outward rituals and good living made them acceptable to God. The Pharisees were moralists to the extreme, so careful to keep what were, in their perception, even the smallest points of the law. But the result was a feeling of self-satisfaction. They believed that because of what they had done, they had obtained God’s approval. They were so spiritually blind that when God in human form walked among them, they didn’t receive His message and even had Him put to death. Jesus summarized it well when He said, “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs—beautiful on the outside but filled on the inside with dead people’s bones and all sorts of impurity. Outwardly you look like righteous people, but inwardly your hearts are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness” (Matthew 23:27–28 NLT). In other words, we are missing it when we only concentrate on the outward. We must first take care of the inward. This brings us to the primary call of the church today. Is it merely to try to stop the spread of corruption in our society? Is it merely to try to lobby for political candidates who reflect our values? Even if we’re somewhat successful in passing some laws, even if we elect candidates who reflect our values, it still isn’t getting to the heart of the matter. That’s because when people truly find Jesus Christ, He changes their lifestyle. Our clear mandate, given from the lips of Jesus Himself, is this: “Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you” (Matthew 28:19–20 NLT). If we allow other things to detract us from this one calling, then we’re missing it. Jesus said, “First wash the inside of the cup and the dish, and then the outside will become clean, too” (Matthew 23:26 NLT). That is where we must focus our efforts. By itself, morality leads to self-righteousness. It can even be a damning thing. That’s because people are better off being immoral and recognizing their need for God than being highly moral and thinking they have no need for Him. Of course, how wonderful it would be if everyone in our country were moral and no one broke the law. How wonderful it would be if we all were kind and considerate people. That would make a nice society. But sometimes, we’re a little too preoccupied with the temporary and lose sight of the big picture. Morality apart from a relationship with Jesus Christ can be dangerous because it can blind us to the truth. Morality won’t change our hearts. But if our hearts have been truly changed, then there will be a change in our actions and our lifestyle.
