The Jewish Nation Lives: The Futility of Attempts to Annihilate Israel – Ty Perry - https://harbingersdaily.com/the-jewish-nation-lives-the-futility-of-attempts-to-annihilate-israel/
From Egypt’s Pharaoh to Persia’s Haman to Germany’s Hitler, many a world leader has attempted to destroy the Jewish people, defying God’s declaration that He will “curse him who curses” Israel (Gen. 12:3). Even today, motivated by a satanic hatred, many say, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more” (Ps. 83:4). Modern Israel’s history has been a fight for survival. Though often battered and humbled by brutal assaults, the Jewish nation lives, demonstrating the futility of attempts to annihilate it. War for Independence (1948) On May 14, 1948, Britain’s 31-year mandate over Palestine, as it was then known, came to an end; and Israel gained its independence. Six months earlier, the United Nations gave part of the area to the Jews and part to the Arabs. The dream for a revived Jewish nation in its Promised Land became a reality. No sooner was the State of Israel born than its neighbors—Egypt, Syria, Transjordan, Lebanon, and Iraq—banded together to invade it. Their goal: Wipe the Jewish state off the map. But they could not. Israel’s War of Independence lasted ten months and went down in history as the country’s bloodiest conflict. Of its 650,000 Jewish citizens in 1948, 6,373 (approximately one-third of whom were Holocaust survivors) perished. But the little Jewish nation pulled through, defeating massive, well-equipped Arab armies. Six-Day War (1967) Yet the Arab nations persisted in refusing to accept the Jewish state’s existence. For them, the 1949 armistice lines merely marked where their next attacks should begin. In May 1967, Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser, advised by false intelligence from the Soviet Union, began moving 80,000 Egyptian troops, 550 tanks, and 1,000 pieces of artillery into the Sinai Peninsula. On May 23, he cut off Israel’s shipping lanes by blocking the Straits of Tiran, a direct violation of UN Security Council resolution 118. This was, by all definitions, an act of war. By early June, five Arab nations had allied against Israel and assembled their armies on Israel’s borders: 80,000 Egyptian troops; 60,000 Jordanian troops, plus Iraqi forces; 50,000 Syrian troops; and a combined Arab air force of some 600 planes. On June 5, 1967, Israel’s air force, flying low to avoid radar detection, made its way to Egypt. Before Egypt’s air force could get its jets in the air, Israel bombed Egypt’s runways and took out two-thirds of Egypt’s air force, the largest in the Arab world—all in merely four hours. What Egypt had promised would be “the extermination of Zionist existence” was anything but. Though Egypt’s forces outnumbered Israel’s by three to one, its army retreated in defeat. Israel took control of the Sinai and opened the Port of Sharm el-Sheikh, reopening the sea lanes. The defeats of the other Arab armies came in quick succession. Most significantly, on June 7, Israel pushed Jordan’s forces out of eastern Jerusalem, taking control of the Temple Mount. This was the first time in 2,000 years that a united Jerusalem lay in the hands of a sovereign Jewish nation. Jordan’s assault on Israel was over. In merely six days, Israel not only defeated its powerful Arab neighbors, but it also captured militarily strategic territory (the Golan Heights from Syria, Judea and Samaria from Jordan, the Gaza Strip and Sinai from Egypt), making it far easier for Israel to protect its people. Yom Kippur War (1973) Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is Judaism’s holiest day of the year. In Israel, everything shuts down as Jewish people fast and pray. Israel’s Arab neighbors, still incensed at their defeat six years earlier, chose this day to launch a war that nearly destroyed the Jewish state. Though Israel knew war lay ahead, a series of intelligence failures, false alarms, and a sense of national hubris caused the government to doubt its imminence. By October 5, 1973, however, it became clear the Egyptians were planning an attack. Prime Minister Golda Meir, under pressure from the United States not to launch a preemptive strike, mobilized an insufficient number of troops. On October 6, 1973, Syria and Egypt, backed by the Soviet Union and nine other nations, attacked. Some 1,400 Syrian tanks assailed Israel’s 180 tanks. Israel had a mere 500 soldiers stationed along the Suez Canal when 600,000 Egyptian soldiers struck. In the north, Syria overwhelmed Israeli forces. A staggering 40,000 Syrian troops flooded the Golan Heights, their 1,500 tanks far outnumbering Israel’s pitiful 177. At Israel’s helm were Prime Minister Golda Meir and Minister of Defense Moshe Dayan. But even these bold, competent leaders feared Israel’s demise was at hand. Riddled with anxiety at the catastrophe, Dayan even considered a nuclear option. Thanks to help from the United States, Israel was pulled back from the verge of defeat and turned the tide against the Arab invaders, pushing the Egyptians out of the Sinai and all the way back to the Egyptian capital of Cairo. In the north, Israel recaptured Mount Hermon in the Golan and advanced to 25 miles outside Damascus. The war officially ended on October 28, 1973. Though technically it was a victory for Israel, the victory came at enormous cost. Israel lost 2,656 soldiers, three times the casualties of the 1967 war. First Intifada (1987) Twenty years after the Six-Day War, peace was no more in reach than it had been in the 1960s. In December 1987, an Israeli in Gaza was murdered. The next day, an Israeli truck driver accidentally crashed into a row of cars at a Gaza checkpoint, killing four Palestinians and seriously injuring seven. A rumor spread in the Palestinian territories that the crash was an intentional response to the Israeli murdered in Gaza. Protests sprang up throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip, demonstrations unlike any Israel or even the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) had ever seen. What was supposedly a nonviolent intifada (Arabic for “shaking off”) against Israel quickly became violent. The Palestinians began rioting and attacking not only Israeli soldiers and civilians but also fellow Arabs accused of collaborating with Israel. In fact, by 1991, “the number of Arabs killed for political and other reasons by Palestinian death squads . . . exceeded the number killed in clashes with Israeli troops.” Still, Israelis were the main target. More than 700 attacks targeted Israeli soldiers and civilians in the first four years of the First Intifada. Israel suffered not only at the hands of the Palestinians, but also at the hands of the international news media, which majored in turning little Israel into the big, powerful “occupier” of “Palestinian land” and making the massive, aggressive Arab nations the victims. The narrative had changed. Second Intifada (2000) In September 2000, Ariel Sharon, then opposition leader in Israel’s Knesset (parliament), and six members of the Likud Party visited the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Israel had cleared the trip with the Palestinian Preventive Security organization, which assured the Israelis that no problems would ensue as long as the delegation did not enter any mosques. The promise proved false. Arab radio broadcasts claimed Sharon had intruded on Muslim holy sites. PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat incited Palestinians to “move immediately to stop these aggressions and Israeli practices against holy Jerusalem.” A wave of violence followed that became known as the Second Intifada. From 2000 to 2005, Arab terrorists unleashed random, bloody attacks on Israeli civilians throughout the country. Israelis feared going out in public and riding buses, which suicide bombers routinely blew up. Arabs murdered 1,137 Israelis during the Second Intifada. Hamas War (2023) October 7, 2023, will forever be engraved on the hearts of the Jewish people. That was when Hamas terrorists from the Gaza Strip invaded Israel and murdered, raped, mutilated, immolated, and beheaded more than 1,200 of the most vulnerable Israelis. In a well-coordinated attack two years in the planning, Hamas infiltrated Israel by land, sea, and air. Some terrorists paraglided into an outdoor music festival being held in the Negev Desert, where they slaughtered more than 360 young people and took at least 40 hostages. Throughout the day, Hamas launched thousands of rockets from Gaza into Israel and took some 240 hostages, 32 of them children, the youngest only 9 months old. Not since the Holocaust have so many Jewish people been killed in a single day. In response, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the nation, “Citizens of Israel, we are at war. Not an operation, not a round [of fighting], at war!” That war meant a ground invasion of Gaza. Unlike any other country, Israel warns its enemies that it’s about to strike and urges civilians to seek safety. It urged the Palestinians to flee to the southern part of the Gaza Strip, while the Jewish state tried to eliminate Hamas. Israel began its ground invasion on October 27. Yet one of the toughest fronts Israel faces is the war in the media. Hamas intentionally hides in densely populated civilian areas, and it built a 300-mile labyrinthine maze of tunnels under the Gaza Strip. The IDF discovered that Hamas’s primary base of operations was underneath the Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. Hamas deliberately uses civilian areas—such as schools, mosques, and hospitals—as shields, forcing Israel to bomb these sites, so Hamas can claim Israel is committing war crimes against Palestinian civilians. For Israel, the public-relations battle is as intense as the physical fighting. At the time of this writing, Israel continues to wage war against Hamas. And Hamas joins the millions of others who, for millennia, have tried to destroy the Jewish people. However, despite all their attempts, including those today, the Jewish people live on. A song frequently sung at Israel solidarity events is “Am Yisrael Chai,” Hebrew for “The people of Israel live.” And they will continue to live because almighty God has decreed it (Jer. 31:35–37). And what He has decreed, no one can reverse (Isa. 43:13). Power of the Air Evil – Terry James - https://terryjamesprophecyline.com/2024/09/09/power-of-the-air-evil/ While we approach the 2024 presidential election, we’re once again subjected to the evil festering within the mainstream media at every level. Whether it’s general or entertainment news, all, in one way or another, is geared to pump up the party and candidates of their preference and not only diminish, but destroy, all opposition to their view of the way America and the world should be governed. And that way has become radicalized and perverted. The power of the mainstream media to shape opinion, thus pervert society and culture, is used by the dark force the Apostle Paul called “powers and principalities in high places” (Ephesians 6:12). As I’ve mentioned before, something exciting is building toward a profound event, I believe. God Himself intervened, reached down, and in front of the entire world prevented the assassination of one of the candidates. This isn’t mere coincidence. Something is up. As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, it’s exciting to contemplate what that something might be. Jesus told us to “look up and lift our heads” when we “see all these things begin to come to pass.” Things haven’t changed for the better in the matter of the media’s harmful influence, but have gotten progressively worse since the time leading up to the 2020 presidential election. The article that follows was written in 2019, and I present it again here as a reminder of the evil the nation faces while the November date of electing the next president nears. ******* Many an elderly former television network broadcaster doubtless engages in ever-recurring conversations while sipping his favorite evening libation. “Remember how we once ruled the airwaves?” might be one such conversation starter. “Yeah. In the old days we could say it on the evening news, and by noon the next day, public opinion would begin to come around,” the commiserating drinking partner might say. I can imagine a Dan Rather type and some other no-longer-relevant propagandist lamenting as the tonic and gin or bourbon on the rocks burns a liquid trail down their once-golden throats. “Those were the good, old days,” one shakes his head, blinks, and calls to the bartender for a refill. “There’s no leadership to ever bring those days back,” I can hear the other saying. “Now they all go their separate ways.… There are far too many of them to ever come together.” “It almost makes you see the need for the power of dictatorship…for the good of the republic,” the Dan Rather-type says, taking the first sip from his newly refreshed beverage. “Yeah. We used to at least have that kind of influence over public opinion…for the good of the republic,” the other aging broadcaster puts in. They must dream happily of when they and their network colleagues had the three-network monopoly. Now, it must be a nightmare that they live through daily. Their personal influence is no more—the power of their profession significantly diminished. That this is the case is plainly presented in polls taken about how America’s people feel about that profession. Always, news media, as being trustworthy in the eyes of the public, ranks very near the bottom of those polls. If there ever was a question about why that ranking is so low, we need only to think on the past three years or so. It would almost seem that our two aging former anchors need not worry for a second about the ability of the news conglomerate to speak with the power of one. The mainstream news media has coalesced in a way that ABC, CBS, and NBC would have never done when they had, collectively, nearly sole power of the air. It is true that today’s now fractionalized mainstream news media, as individual news forums, draw infinitesimally small numbers of viewers in comparison to the numbers drawn by the big three networks during the good old days. But the power exerted by the new collective—the fractionalized mainstream media—is, I’m convinced, even more powerful than that wielded by the big three those years earlier. The proof is the absolutely fanatical cohesion that this new media collective has cemented. Before the months leading up to Donald J. Trump’s election to the presidency, the news conglomerate at least pretended to be independent from one another. Following Trump becoming the Republican candidate and up to the present hour, those news forums have melded as one to destroy this president. They have, in the process, infected about half of the adults of America with an insane rage that I’ve characterized a number of times as “a reprobate mind”—the same mindset described by the Apostle Paul in Romans 1:28. In this sense, the new mainstream news media is far more effective than the big three that pretended to be independent of each other in trying to shape public opinion. This media today is as driven in its insane rage as are the left-wing, anti-God public they possess. And “possession” is what it amounts to, in my estimation. I can say this because at the black heart of this propagandist cabal is the chief minion of the underworld. And this is provable, biblically. Broadcast—at least as originally conceived and implemented—projected out over the airwaves. They were received by the antennae of those who tuned in to the news, entertainment programs, and commercials. So, as the broadcast industry was foundational, that method—“over the air”—was the progenitor of this new mainstream media. This evil cabal, although fractionalized as being individual entities, is totally conjoined in delivering messages their master director wants delivered. That director is indeed the maestro—who, for the time being, is allowed to be infernal minister of propaganda to seduce and delude the rebellious among earth’s inhabitants. He is undertaking that goal with a massive effort. Here is scriptural proof of his temporary right to his position as master of deluding all who will watch and listen: Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. (Ephesians 2:2) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8) Satan is the prince of the power of the air. He is using that power in a literal way to seek out and devour as many as he can delude. He has, during this last three and a half years, managed to seduce and bring into his insane rage nearly half of the adult population of the United States of America, it appears. But the God of Heaven has not left us without defense against this evil prince and his media minions. God’s Word tells of this protection for the Christian—all who believe in Jesus Christ for salvation: Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4) ******* While carrying out the Great Commission Jesus gave believers, we are, as Paul exhorted, to be “looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13). Even so, come, Lord Jesus. PROPHECY UPDATE VIDEOS

Fluctuations in solar activity affect our climate more than anything else does, and we also tend to see more earthquakes when solar activity is at elevated levels. The current solar cycle is supposed to reach a peak at some point during the next 12 months, but so far there are no signs that solar activity is slowing down. In fact, the average number of sunspots that we witnessed last month was the highest that we have seen since 2001… The average number of sunspots reached 215.5 in August, according to the Solar Influences Data Analysis Center at the Royal Observatory in Belgium. It’s the highest number since Sept.-Dec. 2001, according to SpaceWeather.com. July’s total was 196.5. Last month, NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center issued a preliminary statement that solar activity is at its highest since March 2001. This wasn’t supposed to happen. Scientists were originally projecting that we would see about half as many sunspots during the month of August… Experts had predicted that August would only see half as many sunspots, indicating that the solar maximum is imminent, and it may be more active than anticipated, possibly bringing intense solar flares and coronal mass ejections. The number of sunspots has been increasing at an exponential rate for the past couple of months. Hopefully we will get a reprieve here in September. Because if we don’t, we could see more severe geomagnetic storms like we did in May… In May 2024, Earth experienced its strongest geomagnetic storm in over 20 years, with auroras visible much farther south than usual, including regions as far as Florida and Mexico. If another large sunspot appears around the time of the September equinox, it could lead to a similar or even stronger event. When a very large geomagnetic storm occurs, it can disrupt our lives in countless ways. Back in May, even farm equipment was dramatically affected… Ronald Rabon, the owner of Double R Farms, said back in May when the G-5 extreme solar magnetic levels occurred, he was out spraying his cotton field when his equipment started acting up. “I didn’t know what was wrong with it,” Rabon said. “All I knew, it was, and you could get it straightened up and go for a few minutes. And it might go 20, 30 minutes and whatever minutes from then, all of a sudden, you’d be going through the field and it might just take a left.” Rabon said one of the biggest problems with the solar flares is preventing his sprayers from being accurate. His GPS uses precise alignments for spraying, and when knocked out of its track, could overspray his crop and kill it. Of course if our planet is hit by a large enough storm, it could fry power grids, take down the Internet, and cause massive societal problems all over the world. Hopefully such a scenario will not play out any time soon. All of the solar activity that we have been witnessing is also the primary reason why there has been so much intense heat this summer… Summer broke global heat records for the second straight year, scientists have confirmed — putting 2024 firmly on track to be the hottest year in recorded history. The period between June and August — summer in the Northern Hemisphere — was the world’s hottest such period since records began in 1940, according to data published Friday by Copernicus, Europe’s climate change service. Much more importantly, there tends to be a lot of seismic activity when solar activity is very high, and that is precisely what has been occurring. In particular, a lot of experts are quite alarmed about all of the shaking that we have seen in California lately… Residents in California experienced a swarm of five earthquakes within the last 48 hours. A 4.4-magnitude was felt in the north around Lake County on Saturday and two more struck the area the following evening, ranked as a 2.7 and 2.8-magnitude. Locals in southern California also reported two more quakes on Saturday, with the largest ranking a 3.9-magnitude. Within the past 7 days, there have been more than 900 earthquakes in California and Nevada. As I discussed the other day, I am extremely concerned about the instability that we have been witnessing on the west coast. This is something that I will be watching very, very closely during the months to come. In my brand new book, I explain why I believe that we have entered a time when we will see historic earthquakes of absolutely epic proportions. Of course it isn’t just the U.S. that will be affected. There has also been a lot of shaking south of the border lately too. On September 6th, a gigantic crack in the Earth that suddenly opened up actually swallowed four cows… A large earth crack opened in Ejido J. Cruz Gálvez, located in the Hermosillo municipality of Sonora, Mexico, on September 6, 2024, swallowing four cows. The crack is reported to be approximately 3 km (1.8 miles) long and 1.5 m (5 feet) wide, with a depth of 4 m (13 feet) in some sections. According to the rancher who recorded a video of the crack, it swallowed four cows. Local authorities have not yet issued any statements regarding the matter. It is not normal for a crack in the Earth that is 3 kilometers long to appear out of nowhere. When will people finally start to wake up? Our planet is becoming increasingly unstable, and this should deeply alarm all of us. Meanwhile, the skies above our heads are becoming increasingly active as well. For example, a giant space rock that is “approximately the size of two football fields” will come flying by our planet on September 15th… An asteroid approximately the size of two football fields is set to make a close approach to Earth this month. According to the New York Post, the 720-foot-wide asteroid named 2024 ON, will pass around 620,000 miles from our planet on September 15. While this distance might seem vast, it’s remarkably close in astronomical terms – equivalent to just 2.6 times the distance between our planet and the Moon. However, it poses no threat to Earth. The good news is that this particular giant space rock is definitely going to miss us. In the future, we may not be so fortunate. So much is happening in the skies above our heads, but most of the population is not paying attention. Unfortunately, it is just a matter of time before major events start to happen that none of us will be able to ignore. How God Defines Greatness (1 Samuel 18:5-16) - By Donald Whitchard - 1 Samuel 18:5-16; Proverbs 26:12, 27:2 Greatness, according to the world’s standards, is measured by things such as achievements, status, education, wealth, and individual or corporate contributions to society. While these traits are admirable, they can also be a source of pride, selfishness, self-centeredness, and arrogance. God’s definition of greatness is different. It is not defined in terms of material indulgence or satisfaction but instead is based upon how we live our lives, leaving behind a testimony of character and a good reputation. This is especially true for anyone who defines themselves as a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our talk about Jesus should be in line with our walk. This principle was present in the life of godly men and women who graced the pages of the Old Testament. In our look at the life of David, we read that his character and reputation were built upon God’s definition of what makes a person great. 1 Samuel 18:5-16 gives us the background: “So, David went out wherever Saul sent him, and he behaved wisely. And Saul sent him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people and also in the sight of Saul’s servants. Now it happened as they were coming home, when David was returning from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women had come out of all the cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet King Saul, with tambourines, with joy, and with musical instruments. So, the women sang as they danced, and said: ‘Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousand.’ Then Saul was very angry, and the saying displeased him, and he said, ‘They have ascribed to David ten thousand, and to me they have ascribed only thousands. Now what more can he have but the kingdom?’ So, Saul eyed David from that day forward. “And it happened on the next day that the distressing spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied inside the house. So, David played music with his hand as at other times, but there was a spear in Saul’s hand. Saul cast the spear, for he said, ‘I will pin David to the wall.’ But David escaped his presence twice. Now Saul was afraid of David, because the LORD was with him, but had departed from Saul. Therefore, Saul removed him from his presence, and made him a captain over a thousand, and he went out and came in before the people. And David behaved wisely in all his ways, and the LORD was with him. Therefore, when Saul saw that he behaved wisely, he was afraid of him. But all Israel and Judah loved David, because he went out and came in before them” (NKJV). Three times in this chapter, we read the phrase, “David behaved himself wisely.” It means “to walk properly” or “a person who knows how to carry themselves.” This goes beyond just having good manners (which would benefit this nation and the world today) but also refers to anybody who watches what they say, what they do, and how they act because they know they are being watched. In other words, we see the development of maturity and responsibility in David even though he is still a youth. After David defeated Goliath (1 Samuel 17:48-52), he then continued to prove himself to be a loyal and faithful subject as the days progressed. He did not allow his ego to override his responsibilities. While David had been anointed to be the next king of Israel, he also knew that he needed to take each step one at a time and not let ambition get in the way of God’s perfect timing. Even when Saul tried to kill him, David carried himself in the right way by not allowing bitterness, anger, or sense of revenge to overcome him. He continued instead to set a good example. By the providence of God, he had become more popular than Saul, had married into Saul’s family, and had been both blessed and made prosperous greatly throughout Israel. David did not let any of this take precedence over his desire to wait upon the LORD. He continued to carry himself in spite of the opportunity for self-promotion. David set priorities in his life that overcame the difficulties he faced from Saul (vv.10-11). David knew that the king was against him, yet he kept his composure and played the harp in front of Saul. He had a job to do and did it faithfully. David showed his steadfastness by keeping calm even though Saul attempted to kill him, not once, but twice! David kept at his post. He knew that Saul’s rage would not prevent him from what God had established. We read that Saul hated David and wanted him dead. Saul looked at David with the eyes of a jealous man who was everything he was not. Saul saw how David carried himself and kept himself clean morally. In the beginning, Saul had shown promise but instead lived a life of defiance before the LORD. As a result, God took the kingdom away from him and had given it to a peasant boy who had herded sheep for his father’s house. While Saul had all the trappings of royalty and nobility, David wrapped himself in the robe of faith and devotion to God in spite of the circumstances. David’s character did not go unnoticed by Saul’s subjects, servants, and immediate family. He had the love of Michal, Saul’s daughter, and of Jonathan, who saw in David the noble and godly character that would shape his life in the years to come. The main point is that David relied upon the LORD and was devoted to doing His will no matter what was going on around him. He behaved and carried himself as a real man of God and someone whom the people trusted and loved. What a difference between the example of David and the examples of “manhood” that society has imposed upon us in these last days! Today’s latte-sipping, bun-wearing, effeminate soy-boys who still live with their parents and complain about everything while posting memes on their thousand-dollar phones and laptops are unbiblical examples of what God expects of men. Men like David are hard to find, but, thank the LORD, they are still around, taking on the responsibility expected of them, caring for their families, earning a living, and being role models for their wives and children in accordance with God’s Word. May the LORD forgive us for letting the world tell us how to act as men and women of God. Let us reclaim the standards set before us in Scripture and be able to stand before the LORD Jesus, presenting Him the fruit of our labor, done in His will. Do not end up, as many will, with the smell of smoke upon them and nothing in their hands except the charred remains of wood, hay, and stubble (1 Corinthians 3:11-15; 2 Corinthians 5:10). [email protected] www.realitycityreverend.com www.youtube.com/@realitycityreview/streams Daily Jot: Grafted in—not replace - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com There is a rising stench of antisemitism in America and around the world. It is not just propagated by those terrorist sympathizers that we see demonstrating in the streets of major cities. It is also spread among those who would call themselves “Christians” because they believe the “Church” replaced Israel and the Jews as God’s chosen people. There couldn’t be anything more misguided and against scripture. Yet this sentiment is a growing wildfire reaching to the height of the heavens. My friend, Aaron Fruh, President of Israel Team Advocates, whose mission is to change the growing anti-Israel narrative on college campuses, explained the rising antisemitism in Christianity, in The Times of Israel. He writes: “The Evangelical anti-Zionist and Antisemitic organization Christ at the Checkpoint (CATC) held its biannual conference in Bethlehem of Judea this past May at Bethlehem Bible College. In 2017, the NGO Monitor reported that “Christ at the Checkpoint seeks to advance the Palestinian nationalist agenda within Evangelical Christian churches while simultaneously reviving theological antisemitic themes such as replacement theology…Other anti-Jewish themes promoted at CATC include the de-Judaizing of Jesus and the promotion of a racial theory of Jewish origins.” This year’s CATC conference pivoted—leapt would be a better description—from its traditional theological foundation of Supersessionism (the false narrative that the church has replaced Israel and Palestinian Christians are the rightful owners of Jewish land). He continued, “Gone were the old-guard supersessionists like former Wheaton College New Testament theologian Dr. Gary Burge, who denies Jewish ownership of the land of Israel in his book Whose Land, Whose Promise, and on page 176 demands that Israeli Jews who do not convert to Christianity should be burned: “The people of Israel cannot claim to be planted as vines in the land, they cannot be rooted in the vineyard unless first they are grafted into Jesus. Branches that attempt living in the land, the vineyard, which refuse to be attached to Jesus will be cast out and burned.” Murderous language like this evokes the not-too-distant memory of Jews burned in the gas chambers by German Christians who took their Supersessionism to a whole new level by copying the ancient Inquisitors who favored burning Jews alive in Synagogues. Fruh continues, “It also evokes the recent memory on October 7th, 2023, of Palestinian terrorists—inspired by Supersessionists—who burned to death Jewish men, women, and children.” Romans 11;17-18 says of the Gentiles and Jews, “… you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.” Supersessionism is dangerous. Remember Jesus and his disciples are Jews. They wanted us all to be one. Romans 11:21 warns, “ for if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you, either.” Replacement theology, Supersessionism, is dangerous. Remember Jesus and his disciples are Jews. They wanted us all to be one. Daily Devotion: Dangerous Ground - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us. —Hebrews 10:29 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/dangerous-ground-2/ - Listen Some people go out of their way to mock God and to slander His holy name. They go out of their way to defy Him. And they are treading on dangerous ground. In the Old Testament book of Daniel, we read that King Belshazzar had all the holy vessels brought out that the Jewish people used in the worship of God. Then, he filled them with wine and toasted the gods of silver and gold. He was openly mocking God and going out of his way to ridicule Him. And that was his last night on earth. He was weighed in God’s balances, and God’s judgment fell upon him. The Bible says that one of the sins we can commit against the Holy Spirit is to insult Him. Hebrews 10:29 warns, “Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us” (NLT). One function of the Holy Spirit is to present the saving work of Jesus Christ to nonbelievers. And when nonbelievers refuse to accept the Lord into their lives, they are insulting the love of God. They’re saying they don’t need salvation, they don’t believe that Christ can save them, and they don’t believe that Jesus’ work on the cross was necessary. To resist the Holy Spirit’s appeal and, therefore, to insult God, is to cut off all hope of salvation. Undoubtedly these sins lead to the ultimate sin. First, people resist the Holy Spirit, then they insult Him, and one day, they can go so far as to blaspheme Him. The word blasphemy speaks of a conscious denouncing and rejection of God. It is a defiant irreverence, a uniquely terrible sin of intentionally and openly speaking evil against God. Yet this will be characteristic of people in the last days. The Bible says the Antichrist will go out of his way to blaspheme God. And Revelation 16 tells us that in response to God’s judgment, people “cursed the name of God, who had control over all these plagues. They did not repent of their sins and turn to God and give him glory” (verse 9 NLT). Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is the unforgivable sin (see Mark 3:29). It represents not just unbelief but a determined unbelief. The Bible speaks of Esau, who had gone beyond this point of no return. Hebrews 12:17 tells us, “It was too late for repentance, even though he begged with bitter tears” (NLT). It’s a fearful thing when people go out of their way to mock God, ridicule God, and insult God. They think they can do this for as long as they want without any penalty. But ultimately, it will catch up with them. And the worst thing of all is they can cross the line and commit the unforgivable sin.
