(Galilee, Israel) — Shalom from Galilee! You know, sometimes you look at the events happening around you and all you can do is sit back and say, “Oh, my goodness.” I mean, seriously! If you’ve read my thrillers, you know what a great fan I am of the Mossad and how highly I think of their skillset. But the events of Tuesday and Wednesday? Again, oh my goodness!
 
It was 3:30 PM, Tuesday afternoon. All the Hezbollah leadership and mid-level guys were out doing their Hezbollahy things – buying some fruit, visiting family, torturing prisoners. Suddenly, their pagers went off. Yes, you read that right. Their pagers, just like what happens to millions of people every day all around the world, or at least it did back in the 90s. The message was an error code that kept the device beeping and vibrating for ten seconds. Some lifted their pagers up so they could read the code before clearing it. Others just figured there was a problem and cleared the code while the device remained on their belts. As soon as they pressed the clear button, the devices exploded.
 
It was ugly. Many had their waists severely burned. Others had others parts of their nether regions seriously and permanently compromised. The ones who got the worst of it, though, were those who were trying to make out the numbers on the tiny LED screen. Many of them were blinded. Others lost their lives. It was the most direct, well-planned, and perfectly executed cyberstrike of the modern era. More than 4000 Hezbollah terrorists were wounded initially, and at least 11 were killed. Four hundred of those wounded are in critical condition, more than 500 lost their eyesight, and 18 high-ranking terrorist commanders were injured.
 
This all started with Hassan Nasrallah, head of Hezbollah, calling on his minions to abandon their cell phones, because they could be tracked. He encouraged them to go back to low tech communications, like pagers. So, the terrorist organization put in an order with a Taiwanese company who subbed the order out to a Hungarian company that just might have been tied in very deeply with the Mossad. Hungary, by the way, claims the devices were never in their country. But one way or another the order was fulfilled, with a free bonus to 5000 of the pagers – 20 grams of PETN explosives. Once completed, they shipped them to Lebanon where they were distributed to various levels of leadership. Soon, all the cool terrorists were sporting them on their belts. The run-of-the-mill terror-guys didn’t need them, because they just follow the orders of their bosses.
 
Then came 3:30 PM, the alerts, and the explosions. It happened all across Lebanon and even into Syria. Lebanese terrorists were taken down. Some Syrians were hit. Even Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, lost an eye and had his other severely damaged. Strange that an Iranian ambassador would be carrying a Hezbollah pager, don’t you think? The Iranian connection goes even farther with the son of Ali Maruf Hejazi, the Iran Supreme Leader’s representative in Lebanon, seriously injured in both of his eyes when his Hezbollah pager blew up. Later in the day yesterday, Al-Hadath, a Saudi newspaper, reported that 19 members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were killed by the pagers in Syria and another 150 were injured.
 
Back in Lebanon, it was chaos for Hezbollah. They had ditched their cell phones and now their pagers had blown up. Thankfully for the terrorists, many of the leaders who had survived the attack still had their hand-held radios. They were large and a little clunky, but they kept them connected.
 
Then Wednesday came, and it all started happening again.
 
But this time, the explosions were bigger because those hand-held radios the terrorists still had were bigger. Bigger devices, more explosives. Sixty buildings, 15 cars, and dozens of motorcycles were damaged or destroyed by the hundreds of blasts. First reports said that 14 people have been reported killed and more than 450 injured. Hezbollah is at a loss. Their communications have broken down. They’d try to send smoke signals, but they’re probably concerned that the Mossad somehow poisoned their wood to emit deadly fumes. They are truly at the point that Nineveh was when the prophet Nahum wrote that they are “empty, desolate, and waste! The heart melts, and the knees shake; much pain is in every side, and all their faces are drained of color.” That is a very apt description of many who are in Lebanon’s overfilled hospital rooms today.
 
The details of how the intelligence agency (allegedly) pulled off this second feat remain murky. But it’s not the first time that Israeli intelligence assassinated someone by a hand-held device. In the early 1990s, Yahya Ayyash, Hamas bombmaker and head of Hamas’s West Bank division of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigade, was a busy young man. Known as “the Engineer”, he was responsible for making bombs that killed dozens of Israelis in at least eight suicide attacks. After a little arm-twisting, the Shin Bet convinced an acquaintance of Ayyash’s to get a certain cell phone into the hands of the terrorist so that they could listen in on his conversations. This acquaintance gave the device to his nephew, whose phone Ayyash would often borrow. Sure enough, Ayyash came by to use the nephew’s phone so he could call his father. After confirming that it was Ayyash on the line, the Shin Bet triggered 15 grams of RDX explosive that they had stashed inside the device and Ayyash was killed instantly.
 
But this is the first time a cyberattack on communication devices was this widespread. The rigging of the pagers and the hand-held radios is truly an intelligence feat! As of this morning, the official numbers put the dead in the two attacks at 26 and the wounded somewhere well over 3000. The unofficial numbers, however, say that already a hundred are dead, many more are wounded than officials are reporting, and hundreds of terrorists are not expected to survive.
 
What other nation can you imagine pulling this off? Steve Yohn and I joked yesterday that some people thought we had crossed a line of believability when we put explosives into artwork in By Way of Deception. That’s despite that plot being based on an actual attack on the Natanz nuclear facility when explosives were built into the framework of a desk that was then smuggled into the plant. But we both had to admit that loading mini bombs into thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies then having Hezbollah themselves distribute the deadly devices to their own people was beyond even our wild imaginations. And that’s just from the information that we know. Even as I’m writing this, reports are coming in that the order may have been taken by a European-based Israeli shell company, which would mean that Hezbollah actually paid Israel for all the devices that exploded. Not long after, a Bulgarian newspaper reported that a company in Sofia called Norta Global Ltd sent the pagers. We may never know the full truth. What I do know is that as a writer and an Israeli, I am giving my government and my intelligence agencies an awe-filled standing ovation.
 
As an Israeli, however, I am also pleading with my government to go into the north immediately. Hezbollah has been greatly weakened. They are afraid of their communications systems. Their leaders are wounded or dead. Now is the time to finish off Hezbollah for the sakes of the Israelis and the Lebanese. I know that there is pressure coming from the United States. The last thing the Harris campaign wants is an expanded battle during Biden’s tenure. But Mr. Prime Minister, you know that it has to be done! We must push hard today, so that we don’t have to push hard tomorrow. This is despite the fact that so many are against us, including the fools at the United Nations who just voted 124-14 to deny Israel of its right to self-defense in Gaza and the West Bank. I was very encouraged Tuesday, when I heard that resituating northern Israeli residents back into their homes was added to the official war goals. Of course, that can only happen when Hezbollah is disarmed and pushed out of southern Lebanon. I was also hearted when I learned late last night that the Israeli cabinet granted Netanyahu and Defense Minister Gallant the green light to take military action against Hezbollah, even if it leads to all-out war.
 
I understand the risk. It was a difficult week for Israel. In Rafah on Tuesday, four young Israeli soldiers lost their lives. Capt. Daniel Mimon Toaff, 23, Staff Sgt. Amit Bakri, 21, Staff Sgt. Dotan Shimon, 21, and Staff Sgt. Agam Naim, 20, were killed in Rafah when there was an explosion in the building they were in. Agam Naim, a paramedic and the first female killed in combat in Gaza, was only two days away from going on leave. Our hearts break for their families. Pushing hard in the north is going to cost more lives. I know, I have children in active service and in the reserves. But it must be done if we are ever going to have peace.
 
According to Ezekiel 38, when Russia comes down with Turkey, Iran, and her other allies, Lebanon and Syria will not be part of the attack. I believe Syria will be out of the fight because they’ll be dealing with the destruction of Damascus as spoken of by the prophet Isaiah:
 
The burden against Damascus. “Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, And it will be a ruinous heap” (Isaiah 17:1).
 
What Lebanon is facing right now could possibly be the reason why they are irrelevant. Unfortunately, a fight against Hezbollah means a fight against Lebanon, because the country has allowed the terrorist organization to become so imbedded into their infrastructure. If Israel is forced to fight tooth and nail to destroy Hezbollah, the country could end up in shambles. Let’s pray that the Lord intervenes, the guilty receive justice, and the innocent are allowed to live in peace, whether they live in Israel or in Lebanon.

Even though a lot of people out there don’t seem to realize it yet, we are watching history in the making. Israel and Hezbollah have both been preparing for a final showdown for many years, and now here we are. I have a feeling that both sides have more surprises up their sleeves, and in the months ahead we are going to witness things that we have never seen before. Of course we have never seen thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies suddenly explode before either. During a speech that was delivered on Thursday, Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah publicly declared that “all red lines have been crossed by the enemy”…
 
Hezbollah’s leader has condemned Israel after thousands of pagers and walkie talkies exploded over two days, saying ‘all red lines have been crossed by the enemy’ and that the deadly attacks ‘deserve a response’.
 
Nasrallah also said that what we witnessed this week was a “declaration of war” by Israel…
 
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah declared Israel’s surprise pager and handheld radio attacks a “declaration of war” and dared the Jewish state to invade Lebanon. As he spoke, Israeli forces carpet bombed the terror group’s strongholds.
 
In a televised address Thursday, Nasrallah acknowledged that Hezbollah “received a heavy, painful blow,” saying that Israel’s decision to detonate scores of pagers and other electronic devices earlier this week amounted to “a major aggression” that will not go unanswered.
 
“These massacres amount to war crimes or a declaration of war,” Nasrallah said, promising “a crushing response from the axis of resistance.”
 
It sounds like he is saying that Israel and Hezbollah are now officially at war.
 
And of course that would be an accurate assessment of the current state of affairs.
 
As Nasrallah was delivering his speech, Israeli forces were conducting airstrikes in southern Lebanon, and fighter jets were setting off sonic booms over Beirut…
 
Israel launched a wave of airstrikes against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, moments before the militant group’s leader said two days of debilitating attacks on its members amounted to a declaration of war.
 
The strikes Thursday were more extensive than in previous days and were timed to coincide with a televised speech by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was addressing a wave of device explosions before cadres who were shocked by the scale of the attack. Israeli jets flew over Beirut, setting off sonic booms as they have done repeatedly in recent months in an effort to intimidate the group.
 
Does Nasrallah actually believe that Hezbollah can win the coming war?
 
He must realize that Israel has capabilities that his side does not.
 
Once Israeli forces enter southern Lebanon, there will be no turning back and vast numbers of people will die.
 
At this moment, additional Israeli units are on their way to the northern border…
 
In a statement Wednesday, Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said the “center of gravity” in the Israel-Hamas war was moving north to Lebanon. He said more military units and resources were being sent to the border.
 
“This is not Hamas − we’re dealing with something different, and we need to prepare accordingly,” he said.
 
I know that the Biden administration is still pushing for peace, but U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his minions are extremely incompetent.
 
And Hezbollah has already stated that there will be no peace as long as the IDF is fighting in Gaza. On Thursday, Hezbollah continued to fire at targets inside northern Israel…
 
The powerful Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah continued to strike what it called military targets in northern Israel Thursday after thousands of its members were injured and several killed in an apparent Israeli operation using exploding pagers and other communication devices. The Israel Defense Forces said it was striking Hezbollah targets in Lebanon “to degrade Hezbollah’s terrorist capabilities and infrastructure.”
 
“The Hezbollah terrorist organization has turned southern Lebanon into a combat zone. For decades, Hezbollah has weaponized civilian homes, dug tunnels beneath them, and used civilians as human shields,” the IDF said in a statement. “The IDF is operating to bring security to northern Israel in order to enable the return of residents to their homes, as well as to achieve of all of the war goals.”
 
In response, the IDF hit more than 100 Hezbollah rocket launchers. The airstrikes that we witnessed on Thursday evening are being called “some of the most intense” that we have seen so far…
 
Israel carried out dozens of strikes on Thursday across southern Lebanon, in what Lebanese security sources said were some of the most intense bombings since Hezbollah began daily cross-border attacks on northern communities after the start of the Gaza war on October 7.
 
The military said fighter jets had struck over 100 Hezbollah rocket launchers in southern Lebanon that were primed for immediate attacks on Israel. It said that in total, the launchers included around 1,000 launch barrels.
 
This is going to end very badly.
 
But most you knew that already.
 
There are a couple of other things that I wanted to mention.
 
Firstly, it is being reported that the pagers and walkie-talkies that exploded this week were actually made by shell companies that had been set up by the Israelis…
 
The Israeli secret service didn’t just tamper with the deadly Hezbollah pagers — they made them from scratch, having set up a complex web of shell companies across Europe, it was claimed today.
 
Initially it was suspected that Mossad had managed to intercept and plant tiny bombs in a shipment of the pagers headed for the Iranian-backed terror group in Lebanon after thousands of people were injured and dozens killed.
 
But now it appears that the Israelis set up front companies across Europe to manufacture the pagers themselves, embedding small amounts of PETN explosive inside, ready to be detonated by a coded message.
 
In particular, the New York Times is telling us that the pagers that exploded came from a Hungarian company that had been purposely set up to sell electronic equipment to Hezbollah…
 
A report Thursday alleged that a Hungarian firm that apparently supplied pagers used by Hezbollah was secretly set up by Israeli spies as part of a widescale operation that appeared to culminate this week when the devices exploded, killing several and maiming thousands of Hezbollah operatives and others in Lebanon and Syria.
 
The New York Times claimed that rather than merely managing to tamper with the devices at some stage of their production or distribution, Israel actually “manufactured them as part of an elaborate ruse.”
 
On the other side, the Iranians have apparently been attempting to assassinate Benjamin Netanyahu and other top Israeli officials…
 
Iran plotted to assassinate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and Shin Bet Director Ronen Bar, the Shin Bet, in cooperation with the police, announced on Thursday.
 
Its efforts were particularly intense following the assassination of Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 31, which most of the world has attributed to Mossad. However, Israel has been careful not to take any credit for it.
 
In addition, the Islamic Republic, at a somewhat more vague level, explored assassinating former prime minister Naftali Bennett and other top Israeli defense officials.
 
The most alarming plot reportedly involved an Israeli businessman that was actually smuggled into Iran on multiple occasions…
 
An Israeli businessman was smuggled into Iran to plot the assassination of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other top Israeli officials, police and intelligence officials said Thursday, amid rising tensions over Trojan Horse attacks this week that killed dozens of Hezbollah fighters and civilians in Lebanon and wounded thousands more.
 
The Israeli businessman wanted a million dollars in advance to help kill Netanyahu and other Israeli officials, but he only received 5,000 euros before he was finally arrested…
 
The suspect was twice smuggled into Iran from Turkey to meet with Iranian intelligence officials, the Israeli statement said. He demanded $1 million in advance to help kill targets including Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar − but received a paltry 5,000 Euros for his trouble before Israeli police arrested him last month.
 
We are witnessing extreme chaos in the Middle East, but what we have seen so far is just the beginning.
 
Once Israeli forces enter southern Lebanon, events are going to move very rapidly.
 
Many will cheer the death and destruction, but the truth is that we should all grieve for every precious soul that passes into eternity.
 
Sadly, there is no way out now.
 
War is here, and it will soon escalate to a level that will shock the entire planet.

Placing a foot on the old confines of the Dachau concentration camp is like stepping through a portal to a time 80 years ago when the demons of Hell unleashed their fury and hatred on the Jewish race in this monstrous manmade construct of unbridled horrors. The specters of death left their mark there, and the haunts of the extermination camp can be felt as one makes their way onto the bedeviled grounds.
 
The senses get mixed signals, and the imagination of the visitor goes wild with the sights and sounds of the camp, plus the accompanying flashbacks of the atrocities committed here as previously viewed from the old footage of films and documentaries that detailed the cruelty and barbarism that ensued within this place and others like it.
 
Suddenly, a closing gate behind as one walks onto the property sounds like a heavy metal barrier slamming shut to lock one into this hellhole, with no chance of escape. Footsteps across the gravel of the grounds call to mind the sounds of jackboot heels forcefully hitting the surface, as depicted in those movies about the Holocaust. A nearby train whistle harkens back to the ghastly images of another load of the death-sentenced Jews arriving at their final destination of Hitler’s hellish Final Solution of the Chosen People.
 
Walking deeper into Dachau, a sense of foreboding is very apparent. A death shroud still looms over the encampment. It is an assault on one’s emotions when looking around and viewing where the old wooden barracks once stood and then off in the distance to see where the gas chambers and the ovens were located. Who needs a haunted mansion when places like this are available for touring?
 
The documented images of the horrors that took place in these death camps come flooding back, and it hits you that this is where those diabolical acts were carried out. How much suffering was inflicted here? How many souls were destroyed and haunt this camp?
 
One’s mind is overwhelmed with dread and incredulity as you tour further. Two barracks were re-erected at the very beginning of the open area where the former barracks once stood. It allows one to walk through them and to get a feeling for how the doomed Jews attempted to survive before their appointed time came to head to the gas chambers and ovens, led by their maniacal Jew-hating camp administrators.
 
There was no such thing as a “green mile” present between these barracks and the ovens, just a grey, somber death march a few hundred yards long to an area where they could already see the furnaces belching out the ashes of their former barrack’s mates.
 
One of the especially cruel hoaxes that was foisted upon them was the infamous sign that hung over one of the side gates. It wasn’t bad enough that they were all rounded up initially throughout Germany and other European nations and put into ghettos; then to be separated from family and loved ones and loaded up into railroad cattle cars to be transported to the various camps.
 
No, their camp commandant held out the false hope and the devilish ruse that “Arbeit Macht Frei” – “Work makes one free” – to the imprisoned Jews as an insincere gesture of freedom if they complied with camp rules and the camp guards. Was it a mere taunt?
 
The Jews must have known better. They were herded into ghettos. They lost their homes and businesses. They were stripped of everything. They were then separated from loved ones. Then loaded like cattle into freight cars. Then locked up in death camps. But work will set them free? The signs were nothing more than the devil’s heinous, sarcastic last laugh.
 
It is amazing how there could still be Holocaust deniers. It has been the most documented subject that has ever transpired in human history. My wife and I have viewed an untold number of films and documentaries about it. There are literally hundreds of these types of programs available. To deny it ever happened defies logic. These camps are left as testaments to the veracity of their once undeniable existence and that satanic genocide.
 
“Never again” was the mantra after the war ended, the Holocaust concluded, and the camps were made visible to the outside world. But, as Bible prophecy students are aware, we know that another Holocaust is soon coming. The next time, it will be worldwide. The souls that expired in Dachau will be joined by those who perish in the coming Tribulation.
 
During the final seven years of human government before Jesus returns – a time known in the Bible as Daniels’s 70th week, the Tribulation Period, or the Time of Jacob’s Trouble – a figure will arise out of the region that made up the old Roman Empire. He will be handpicked by Satan to carry out his globalist roundup. Satan’s hatred for the Jews has no end. His planned destruction of them will be an attempt to thwart God’s plan for them.
 
The Beast, as the Bible refers to him, will once again create a cruel hoax to lure the unsuspecting nation of Israel into his diabolical web. Instead of an “Arbeit Macht Frei” sign prominently displayed, he will extend a pseudo–Olive Branch to the Jews via a false peace treaty between them and those who have sought the destruction of Israel and the Jews. The peace treaty, though, will be a “covenant with death and Hell,” as the Bible records it.
 
Initially, it will appear to be effective in offering a glimpse of peace and security. The Jews will be allowed to rebuild their third Temple under the antichrist’s protection, and then they will ultimately let their guard down under this false pretense of a lasting peace.
 
Throughout their long history of being betrayed by outside forces – instead of fully trusting in God for their protection – you would think that they would know better.
 
Midway through the seven-year peace deal, it all comes crashing down. Satan will enter into the antichrist – as he did when Judas betrayed Jesus – and the worldwide pursuit of the Jews and the Christians will get underway. The Final Solution will again be implemented, and the Holocaust will resume. Those who refuse the Beast’s mark will become targets.
 
“Never again” becomes once again. Dachau gets revisited worldwide. Satan and his demonic horde will surpass what Hitler and his SS contingent wrought on Europe.
 
Satan will enter the rebuilt Jewish Temple to declare himself God. The Jews refuse to accept that. They will realize that they have been deceived. The “peace treaty” is not peace but death. “Arbeit Macht Frei” is again a devilish lie. Working along with the Beast’s system does not set them free. They are in serious trouble. This guy is out to destroy them. He is not God but the devil. The same devil who slaughtered their ancestors in the camps. It has begun again!
 
Here is the way Jesus describes it in Matthew 24:
 
“When you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoever reads, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
 
“But pray that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened“ (Matthew 24:15-22).
 
Jesus is telling his disciples on the Mount of Olives what will transpire during the final 3 and a half years of the Tribulation period. His message is for those Jews caught up during that time of the Beast’s diabolical scheme of his version of a peace deal.
 
When you see the Satan-indwelt Beast declare himself to be God, Get Out! Flee! Don’t go back into your houses. Don’t return for any items. Get out of the city and make your way to the mountains! Your life is in grave peril. The pseudo-peace deal is over. The devil is out to destroy you. His jackbooted thugs are once again coming for you!
 
Like Pharoah chasing down the escaping Israelis to the Red Sea, Satan will pursue the fleeing Jews out of Israel to attempt to wipe them out.
 
This time of Jacob’s Trouble is soon to begin. The Tribulation hour is soon upon us. The signs of its approach are unmistakable. Prophesied 2,000 years ago to happen – as documented in both Matthew 24, Revelation, and Daniel 9 – its footsteps are growing louder. A heavy metal gate clanging shut – to lock in those unprepared for what is looming – is beginning its swing.
 
We can see Israel’s enemies attempting to tighten the noose around their survival. They are encompassed by the demonic forces who seek her destruction. Iran wants to nuke them. Russia will soon want to spoil Israel – of her riches. Turkey’s leader wants to form an Islamic caliphate to remove the Jews from the land. The devil just wants them gone.
 
When the restraining influence of the Holy Spirit is removed via the Rapture of Christ’s Body of Believers, Satan’s plan to exterminate the Jews will go into high gear. He has had eons to plan for this final seven-year time frame. He knows the Scriptures but not the timing for the removal of Christ’s saints. He has had to be ready at moment’s notice for quite a while now to begin his march for world supremacy and his campaign to slaughter the Jews.
 
The specters hovering over the Holocaust death camps will once again go on a murderous rampage. This time, they want to finish the job. The Lord won’t let them, but the casualty rate during this final seven years will be extremely high. The numbers of those perishing will be unprecedented. Never before seen mass deaths across the planet will be incalculable.
 
If only the Holocaust victims could cry out from their graves of what is coming and what the present-day Jews should do immediately to avoid the extremely difficult days that are coming.
 
In unison, they would beseech the Jews to accept Christ right now as their long-awaited Messiah and Redeemer, to preclude them from having to experience the cruelty, the barbarism, the injustices, and the gruesome deaths that they had to experience under Hitler’s rule. The coming terror will be unfathomable.
 
Those troubles are rapidly approaching. Jacob/Israel is already getting a sample of it. Much more is on the way. Will there be any deniers after the coming carnage?
 
“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened“ (Matthew 24:21-22).

Nathan Jones: The Jewish people celebrate seven feasts. The first four take place in the spring and the last three take place in the fall. Remarkably, all four of the spring feasts were fulfilled in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, as well as the birth of the Church. Knowing this then, do the remaining three fall feasts point to the prophetic events surrounding the return of Jesus Christ?
 
To help answer this important question, we turned to Messianic Jewish rabbi Dr. Richard Hill to explain what the fall feasts are exactly and to discern if they contain any prophetic significance. Richard’s interviews will be aired over the next three episodes of our ministry’s television program, Christ in Prophecy.
 
The Feast of Trumpets
 
Richard Hill: I believe the fall feasts do indeed contain prophetic significance. The three fall feasts are Rosh Hashanah, which is known in the Bible as Yom Teruah. Next, there’s the Feast of Atonement, known as Yom Kippur. And third, there’s the Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot.
 
Considering Rosh Hashanah or Yom Teruah, Gentiles know this feast better as the Feast of Trumpets or Feast of Shofar. Many Christians love this feast because they believe it prophetically points to the Rapture of the Church as revealed in the following verses:
 
“Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)
 
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up (i.e. raptured) together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)
 
These passages concerning the Rapture reveal that this prophetic event happens during the blowing of a last trumpet, or the last shofar blast. A shofar is a ram’s horn. The Jewish people have blown the shofar for millennia, and especially during the Feast of Trumpets.
 
Nathan Jones: Because 1 Corinthians 15 and 1 Thessalonians 4 tell of a trumpet being blasted to call the Church up to Heaven in the Rapture, could the last trumpet blast be tied to the final trumpet that’s blown at this feast? This year, Rosh Hashana begins at sundown on Wednesday, October 2 and ends at nightfall on Friday, October 4. If this feast is indeed tied to the Rapture, then could it happen sometime during those three days or on a future Feast of Trumpets?
 
Richard Hill: I do believe the Rapture is tied prophetically to the Feast of Trumpets, because I know of no other set of shofar blasts that are that important. First Corinthians notes this great “catching up” will happen during the last trumpet blast, meaning there’s going to be a series of blasts tied to the Rapture. The final trumpet blast of Yom Teruah is called the “tekiah gedolah.” That’s the greatest, longest, and loudest blast in the series. That could be the prophesied shofar blast of the Rapture.
 
The Day of Atonement
 
Tim Moore: We read from Scripture that as believers in Christ are raptured, we will hear a trumpet sound and the archangel shout, and then Jesus takes us all away to Heaven. I’d imagine that’s probably where a lot of Gentile believers stop in their appreciation of the Fall feasts. Often Trumpets is the only feast they are looking forward to because they are anticipating Christ to return. After all, there are two more feast that follow the Feast of Trumpets. One of them primarily involves the Jewish people, then the last is for all believers?
 
Richard Hill: I would say that all the feasts primarily involve the Jewish people, because there’s a second aspect to the fulfillment of the Feast of Trumpets. For the Jewish people, that shofar blast is meant as a call them to repentance.
 
Unfortunately, those unsaved Jews left behind due to their rejection of Jesus and His salvation are going to have to go through the seven-year Tribulation judgment period known as the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7). A remnant of the Jewish people will survive to the end, though. So that is the key to Yom Kippur—the Day of Atonement. For the Jewish people, that is the day we set aside to atone for our past sins committed over the last year.
 
Tim Moore: Prophetically, the Jewish remnant will by the end of those seven years realize that Jesus’ blood alone atones for their sins. Then they will finally look upon Him whom they have pierced, and the remnant that has survived will put their trust in Jesus Christ. The New Covenant’s blood covering makes atonement for our sins and brings us back into a right relationship with God.
 
Nathan Jones: And so the prophetic significance of the Day of Atonement—Yom Kippur—is that it will coincide with the very day of Christ’s Second Coming.
 
Richard Hill: Possibly, yes. The Jewish people are going to get saved at the advent of Christ’s Second Coming. The one-third who make it to the end of the Tribulation will finally recognize that Jesus is indeed the Jewish Messiah whom they’ve been waiting for so long. They will cry out to Jesus in Hebrew, “Baruch haba B’shem Adonia,” meaning “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord” (Matthew 23:39).
 
So, first the Jewish remnant gets saved. They recognize and accept that Jesus is the Messiah. They’ve at last come to the end of themselves. Can you imagine surviving seven years of Tribulation horrors? They come to the end of themselves only when everybody in the entire world comes against them to commit genocide, and so they’re all facing an imminent death. They need to believe that God will rescue them. And that’s what they are prophesied as doing, “for I (Jesus) say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!'”.
 
After the Jewish remnant calls out to Jesus for salvation, then and only then will He finally return to physically save them from the Antichrist and his armies besieging Jerusalem. Jerusalem will be the final theater in Satan’s long attempt to wipe out all the Jewish people, because Satan knows this prophecy, and so wishes to prevent Christ’s return.
 
Tim Moore: I have a Jewish friend in Israel who said the first question he wants to ask the Messiah when He does finally come is, “Were you here before?” I replied He has been here, and He is coming again. My friend said he kind of understood that, but he just couldn’t accept in faith that Jesus is the Messiah. My hope is if he can endure and persevere throughout the Tribulation, by the end he will finally come to realize that Yeshua was, is, and will be the Messiah. The Jewish remnant will cry out for Jesus the Messiah, and when the finally do, then they will be saved and rescued from destruction.
 
Richard Hill: Well, for those Jewish people who want to ask the Messiah some questions at His Second Coming, once He lands on the Mount of Olives, then that’s it. There won’t be time for any more questions. This Day of Christ is the day of salvation.
 
The Feast of Tabernacles
 
Nathan Jones: Yes, because as soon as Jesus returns, He is going to defeat Satan and his minions and then set up His Millennial Kingdom. This Kingdom concerns the last and seventh feast—the Feast of Tabernacles. What is a tabernacle exactly?
 
Richard Hill: A tabernacle is a temporary shelter. God required the Jewish people to build temporary shelters during the forty years of Exodus wanderings, then on this feast week the Jews build these booths outside of their homes and all over the land of Israel. Historically, the Jewish people particularly liked going up to the Temple Mount to best be able to worship and build their tabernacles there. Whoever got there first received what was considered the favored spot.
 
Tim Moore: The Feast of Tabernacles points not just to Jewish heritage, or an historical feast when Jews live in booths for seven days, but the feast also looks forward prophetically to when God Himself will dwell or tabernacle with us. So, this seventh feast is meant to look backwards to the Exodus, but it also points forward to a future time when God will dwell with us in the days when Jerusalem is to be renamed as Yahweh Shammah. God will dwell there in the second person of the Trinity—Jesus Christ. Therefore, this feast provides us with a preview—a foreshadowing—of what is to come during the Kingdom age. Then, looking even farther Into the future, we’re not talking about just a temporary dwelling with God anymore, but rather the faithful dwelling eternally with the Father during the Eternal State that comes after the Millennial Kingdom.
 
Richard Hill: The theme of the Feast of Tabernacles is “God with us.” God is going to dwell with us in the near future. After Christ’s Second Coming, we will have the privilege of God dwelling with us. When Jesus sets up His Kingdom, we will then be able to worship Him as both the King of the Jews as well as the King of the World. That’s the aspect of “God with us.” Forevermore, we are going to worship our Savior and give our King all the praise and glory and honor He so rightly deserves.
 
Time to Meet the Messiah
 
Nathan Jones: Richard, how can people today meet Yeshua as their messiah?
 
Richard Hill: You need to believe in Jesus, recognize that you’re a sinner, and repent. You’ve broken God’s commandments and so deserve the just punishment of Hell. That’s why we all need Christ to save us from our sins. We need the Lord to guide our lives. And, for the Jewish people like me, we need our Messiah to return.
 
The Scriptures foretold that the Messiah was to come and save the Jewish people and the whole world. The Messiah was going to die for our sins, taking our punishment upon Himself. But, He was also going to resurrect Himself from the dead, and then ultimately ascend back into Heaven where He came from in the first place.
 
We need to believe that Jesus is God and that He came here 2,000 years ago to die for our sins and to beat death by resurrecting Himself from the dead. We need to believe and trust in Jesus Christ, and in doing so, we will gain salvation and that personal relationship with God.
 
Tim Moore: We pray that you, whether you are a Jew or Gentile, will come to know our Jewish Messiah—Jesus Christ. If you are already saved, then go and find a Jew and share the good news that Yeshua has already come and will come again. Tell them that you love them, and point them to the Messiah who was prophesied throughout the Old Testament. They will realize, as the Holy Spirit illuminates their hearts, that the Messiah is none other than Jesus Christ. And, know in your hearts as well that Jesus is indeed coming again. The greatest way to bless a Jew, or anyone for that matter, is to share the good news about Jesus Christ and His salvation.

When we plan camping trips, we are hoping and praying that the weather will be good. But on the off-occasion that the weather doesn’t cooperate, plan B or C or D needs to kick in, depending on how severe the situation. For some 12 years, we have taken beach vacations with our friends Chris and Ed. Our tradition is to have coffee on the beach each morning. It’s something we do rain or shine and it has and it did. We called it sea mist. We found that our wonderful beach canopy was merely water resistant, not wind and rain proof. The raindrops falling on our heads became more intense as the rain collected and pooled above. We took an executive decision to abandon our private beach setting at the Cape Charles, Va., KOA.
 
After navigating the puddles back to the RV, we headed out to breakfast in Chris and Ed’s pickup. Now the rain was coming down pretty steady. We were driving around trying to figure out what else to do and Ed spotted a local museum with trains in the back. We quickly turned in. The ladies decided not to go into the museum because it smelled like diesel fuel, but that is like cologne to a train enthusiast like Ed. Our docent, Teri Miller, told us all about Cape Charles’ being founded in 1884 as a train town; the trains were ferried across the Chesapeake Bay as a shortcut to the South. She also fired up an old diesel generator (the diesel fuel delivered by train, of course) to show us how the town was powered in the late 1940s. We spent a lot of time there, smelling like diesel when we rejoined the wives—of which they reminded us.
 
Next was the Barrier Islands Center in Machipongo, Va. This historic house was built in 1725 with several additions since. From 1803 until 1952, it was the county poorhouse for residents who were homeless, mentally ill, orphans, had unpaid debts or even diseases like tuberculosis. Now it serves as an educational and heritage center/museum telling the story of the barrier islands along the Virginia coast. The 12+ rooms upstairs depict various aspects of life on the Barrier Islands before most of them had to be abandoned due to erosion and other weather-related issues. Chris and Service Dog Charlie enjoyed the music/ballroom. Nobody could hear me now on the old telephone. And we killed some more time on a rainy day during our beach camping trip.
 
No rainy day camping is complete without a really strange experience. Nothing could match what we found at an old Sunoco station turned antique store. Now this old beachcomber, maybe related to Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street, was quite a character. He wanted so much for us to buy some of his overpriced junk—he even emerged from the dark shadows of a back room and offered us to join him in a Bud Light and a plum. The ladies couldn’t leave fast enough! A gentle rain all night, then the next cloudy morning our Cape Charles beach saga ended with yet another beach coffee in a steady sea mist—while trying to grit our teeth and “enjoy” the sea mist with our coffee, the wetter we were getting. The good book says the rain falls on the just and unjust alike. Just make sure you have a Plan B just in case you have rainy day camping.

We tend to imagine idol worship as lying prostrate before a carved image. And clearly, that would be idolatry. But idolatry can take many forms. And no doubt, it’s a problem that even believers living in the twenty-first century will face.
 
The Bible tells us that during the Tribulation, idol worship will be rampant. Revelation 9:20 says, “But the people who did not die in these plagues still refused to repent of their evil deeds and turn to God. They continued to worship demons and idols made of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood—idols that can neither see nor hear nor walk!” (NLT).
 
Idols can be many things. But essentially an idol is anyone or anything that takes the place of God in our lives. A lot of things can qualify as an idol in our lives. And it is a true but terrifying fact that a person can attend church every week and still be a full-fledged idolater.
 
In the Ten Commandments, God tells us that we should have Him as our God and have no other gods before Him.
 
He said, “You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods” (Exodus 20:4–5 NLT).
 
Jesus echoed this when He said, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment” (Matthew 22:37–38 NLT).
 
Essentially, Jesus was saying that if you love God with all your heart, soul, and mind, it will dramatically impact the way that you live.
 
If we love the Lord with all our hearts, souls, and minds, then nothing else can take God’s place in our lives. We won’t be interested in another god any more than someone who just had a delicious dinner of filet mignon would be attracted to roadkill. Our hunger has been met. We’re satisfied.
 
But when we’re not cultivating a close relationship with God, then it is only a matter of time until someone or something takes His place.
 
When Moses left the Israelites to receive the commandments from God on Mount Sinai, the people went to Aaron and asked him to make them an idol, something physical to worship. The result was a calf made of gold.
 
But that wasn’t their first idol. Moses was because not long after he left their camp, they looked for something to take his place.
 
This can happen to us as well. We can allow something to crowd God out of our hearts. And when we look at the history of the Christian church, we’ll see that it was after people abandoned God as their first love that they turned to idols to take His place.
