Psalm 119:89 "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." Matt 5:18 "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Matt 24:34-36 KJV All our Hope, All of our Assurance, All of our comfort rests squarely upon His Word. His Word is exactly that, His "Dependable" Word. We study it, knowing it is His...Infallible and Inerrant. "He means what He says and says exactly what He means". Fortunately we also have His Word in the original languages and the language tools are readily available for anyone's use. With which we can resolve many, if not all, unknown or unsettling issues. While no man knoweth the day nor hour of Christs' coming it is clear that He will come. However, we are to be aware of the season of His coming...."Watch therefore...." Matt 24:42 Regarding the believers' deliverance or removal from the earth, we know we can, "depend on His Word". Who is delivered from the wrath to come, I Thess 1:10...Believers! Who is not appointed unto wrath, I Thess 5:9.... Believers! Who is kept from the hour of testing, Rev 3:10... Believers! Those made righteous by The Blood of The Lamb! (Note: the Greek word translated "taken" in Matt 24:40-44 & Luke 17:26-32 is identical to the word translated "receive" in John 14:3, "...receive you unto myself..."). What we see here is contextual emphasis reflected by translators; both words imply action of another, a living third party with the power to do so. See Revelation 1:8 & 1:18. Furthermore, we have Noah and Lot as examples which we given by Christ Himself, (Matt 24:37-39 & Luke 17: 26-32). Lot's appears below. Prior to Lot's deliverance we see Abraham interceding for Sodom, (Gen 18:22 ff)... And Abraham asked God, "Will thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?" ... Abraham, was intent on saving Lot and his family and repeatedly asked the Lord if the city could be spared destruction if there were a number of righteous people there. First if there were 50 righteous people there, then 45, then 40, then 30, then 20, and finally he got a commitment from the Lord not to destroy the city if there were only 10 righteous ones found there. But we see there were only four (4). The angels arrived to take Lot and his family to safety, and wanted Lot to reach his extended family (19:14). But, they did not take him seriously. It was a sad day for Lot. Lot yet lingered (19:16) at his house, so the angels laid hold upon their hands and set them outside the city. The angel then urged him saying (19:22), "I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither..." And so it was... Lot, his wife and two daughters were removed by force before the fire fell to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. Just as the righteous are to be removed from destruction before the fury and wrath of God falls in these latter days... believers will be, "caught up" to meet the Lord in the air", (I Thess 4:17). We can "Depend" on it! (In Latin, the word is rendered "rapturo". However, the actual Greek word is "harpazo" #726, to sieze, catch (away, up), pluck, pull, take (by force). This word occurs 13 times in the original language). Not Since the days of Noah (Gen.6:5-7) when the wickedness of man was great and God destroyed man from the face of the earth, has there been such a world wide catastrophic event as we see in Ezekiel 38 & 39! The fury and wrath of God demonstrated here is like none other in the Bible which precedes and introduces the Great Tribulation period. * In the "latter days" we find a detailed description of a specific and literal time of destruction. (See Ezekiel 38:16 below for "latter days"). 1-The stage is set, the *players are on the board, (38:1-7). (Note: *Names we see in the text of Ezekiel are the actual names of those that originally settled in particular regions, see Gen.10:1-7 The key verse is v5. "By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; everyone after his tongue, after their families, in their nations." The current names of the major participants are Russia, Turkey and Iran). These are now gathering in Syria, north of Israel. 2-The conferences between the players are on going,(38:10-13). They have met four times that we know of at this point in, (Tehran, Geneva, Ankara, Astana) and their military buildup is happening now. 3-Conditions developing to compel/pressure them to action,(38:11-13). Russia's economic condition is strained, the ruble is dropping in value and their income from exported oil and natural gas to Europe is declining as USA is now the top exporter of oil in the world. Israel has found the largest deposits of natural gas and oil known in the world just off their Mediterranean coast and is planning a pipeline to Greece and the European market. This situation seriously affects Russian sales to Europe. Israeli oil deposits discovered span across the Galilee and extend under the valley of Megiddo. Iran aside from being a mortal enemy to Israel is suffering under sanctions imposed by USA, drop in oil prices and failing natural resources. Their currency is not far from worthless. Turkey likewise is suffering from a loss of currency value, the global economic slowdown, the Eurozone migration crises, terrorism, extended war costs and political turbulence. These countries see the prosperous but tiny Israel as an easy prize to plunder, (see 38:12). With Israel's actual geographical size being only the same size as nine (9) counties in the Texas panhandle, or nine Potter counties put together. (Israel's God given actual size is from the river of Egypt to the great Euphrates in Iraq, Gen.15:18) And then the attack comes at the appointed time, (38:14-17) to which God responds immediately, in that day (38:18-39:8). Still no date or time is given for that very day. "Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken." (39:8). Ezek 38:15-23 15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: (Use of today's transportation & weapons is of no consequence). 16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes. 17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them? 18 And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face. 19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day, (#3117, a 24 hr period, same as every "day" shown in Gen.1). This word can be used as an adverb as a space of time defined by an associated term; Context, Context, Context. there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; (Google this; seismic activity increasing 2018, then look at the images see the charts and graphs). Big ones will occur that day. 20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth,(#127, earth, as in Gen 1:25) and all (#3605, whole, all, any & every) the men (#120, mankind, species, human beings) that are upon the face (#6440) of the earth (phrase similar to Gen. 1:29) shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. 21 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: "every man's sword shall be against his brother. 22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD"...(24 hour days shown in 38:14,19; 39:8,11,13,22). This world wide cataclysm continues below and concludes at v8. A seven year period begins at v9. Ezek 39:1-14 39:1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: 2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: 3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. 4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. 5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD. 6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD. A similar fire to; "And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth." Zech 14:12 (This fire and clean up procedures shown below in 39:15 are similar to standard Haz-Mat procedures for nuclear waste). 7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. *8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken. (A period of seven years of burning begins below and burial of the dead begins. First in Israel and after seven months it will continue as they search the face of the earth). 9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years: 10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD. 11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamon-gog. 12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. 13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD. 14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers #5674; (travelers that; pass, through, or over) those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of (the first) seven months shall they search. (worldwide) 15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-gog. (There is no other place in the Bible like this, which precedes and apparently introduces the Great Tribulation period.). We know we can, "Depend on His Word". Who is delivered from the wrath to come, I Thess 1:10...Believers! Who is not appointed unto wrath, I Thess 5:9.... Believers! Who is kept from the hour of testing, Rev 3:10... Believers! Those made righteous by The Blood of The Lamb! We are ambassadors for Christ, II Cor. 5:20 (And none other)! There are Messianic Jews in Israel now, the entire region is being evangelize now. Throughout the muslim world they are coming to Christ as never before. Search Google, "Jesus shows up in the Middle East". There are vast numbers of testimonies that will leave you in tears and so thankful for the grace of God. Remember Lot and his family, "They took them by the hand..." Remember Pearl Harbor, before the surprise attack the Japanese ambassadors were called home...They vacated the White House. Remember II Cor. 5:20, where believers are called... "We are Ambassadors for Christ..."! Remember Abraham's great question... Abraham asked God, "Will thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?" There are many believers in the immediate region of the Ezekiel War. And there is a great multitude of believers on the face of the earth. ...The affected area of Gods Fury and Wrath will be vacated of Ambassadors at that time, on that day! We still don't know the date or time, but we have zeroed in on a Big Day! There is a numberless multitude meeting soon, (Rev. 7:9-14). They will be delivered as Noah with his family and Lot with his. The big question now is will you be among them? Be ready! Christ is The Living Saviour, (Rev 1:8 & 1:18). Christ is The Way, The Truth, and The Life, (John 14:6). Admit to Him you need Him, the Only Saviour, because all have sinned, (Romans 3:23). Believe on The Lord Jesus Christ, He truly died for our sins, "...but not for ours only but for the sins of the whole (#3650, the Greek word is 'olos, pronounced "hal-las" meaning; all, whole, complete, every part altogether, lacking none) world." The latest reports from Syria reveal that 82 Palestinians have died as a result of brutal torture in prisons run by the Syrian government in 2018. The report states that a total of 556 Palestinians have been tortured to death while being held in various Syrian prisons the past few years. According to the Action Group for Palestinians of Syria (AGPS), a human rights watchdog organization that was established to monitor the situation of Palestinian refugees in war-torn Syria, the real number of the Palestinians tortured to death could be higher: those are just the ones they know about; the Syrian authorities do not provide any details about detainees. In addition, AGPS pointed out, the families of the victims are afraid to announce the deaths of their sons and daughters for fear of being targeted by the Syrian authorities. AGPS says that according to its research, there are at least 1,711 Palestinians being held in Syrian prisons. In September 2018, AGPS reported that Marwan Mustafa Judeh and his brother, Muhieddin, had died under torture while being held in Syrian detention. The two, who are from the Yarmouk refugee camp near Damascus, were arrested by the Syrian authorities in 2013. Another recent victim of torture was Oday Sabri al-Hilu, 22, arrested by the Syrian authorities in 2104 while trying to leave Yarmouk. Hilu's mother is Syrian, while his father is originally from the Gaza Strip. The family has been living in the Yarmouk camp for several years. Al-Hilu's death was reported in September 2018. Also in September 2018, AGPS reported that Mohammed Dib Abu al-Ruz, a Palestinian singer and political activist who had been arrested by the Syrian authorities in 2013, had also died as a result of torture. A month earlier, four members of the Palestinian Elayan clan were also said to have been tortured to death while being held in detention in Syrian prison. The four men, who were separately arrested in 2013 and 2014, were identified as Seif al-Din, 49, Mohammed, 47 and his son, Ezaddin, 25, and Ali, 32. The men's families learned about the deaths when they went to check with the Syrian Ministry of Interior about the fate of their sons. During the same month, the family of Issam Mustafa Shehadeh learned from other Palestinians that their son, who was being held in Syrian prison, had died after being tortured by his Syrian interrogators. Shehadeh was from the Dara'a refugee camp in southern Syria. The list of names of Palestinian victims of torture goes on and on. The plight of the Palestinians in Syria is not difficult to fathom. What is difficult to fathom is: Where are the international media when those Palestinians are being brutalized? Since the beginning of the civil war in Syria eight years ago, 3,911 Palestinians have been killed there, according to the latest figures provided by AGPS and other Palestinian human rights groups. All these numbers may not be of any interest to the international community because the plight of the Palestinians in Syria is not related to Israel. The Palestinians who are being killed and tortured and displaced in Syria receive zero coverage in the mainstream media in the West. The United Nations and other international agencies seem to be totally unbothered by what is happening with the Palestinians living not only in Syria, but also in other Arab countries. A Palestinian who is shot by Israeli soldiers during a demonstration in the West Bank or Gaza Strip, by contrast, will attract the instant ferocious attention of the international media. Many reporters prefer a story where they can point an accusatory finger at Israel than one that blames an Arab government or president. Stories that rip into Israel go viral on social media and earn their authors appreciation and praise. A story that is critical of the Palestinian Authority (PA), Hamas or most Arab governments, however, will be dismissed as "Jewish propaganda" and its author labeled a traitor, a collaborator or on the payroll of the Jewish or Zionist lobby. One can make up excuses for the apathy of the international community toward the atrocities the Palestinians are facing in Syria. However, the indifference of Palestinian leaders to the suffering of their own people is harder to justify. It is as if Palestinian leaders in the West Bank and Gaza Strip live on a different planet -- as though the people who are being tortured to death and displaced and wounded in Syria were not Palestinian at all. Why, though, should Palestinian leaders care when they are busy fighting each other? When was the last time a Palestinian leader in the West Bank or Gaza Strip seriously addressed the tragedy of his people in Syria? The Palestinian Authority in the West Bank does not care about the Palestinians living in Syria. Palestinian leaders do not even seem to care about their people in the Gaza Strip. PA President Mahmoud Abbas has imposed a series of punitive measures against the coastal territory that have further aggravated the economic crisis there. These measures include halting payment of salaries to thousands of Palestinian employees and needy families. The Hamas rulers of the Gaza Strip care only about keeping themselves in power. Their main objective is to maintain a tight grip on the Gaza Strip and prevent Abbas and his PA from ever returning there. The 3,911 Palestinians who died in Syria in the past eight years were no more to Hamas than a blip on the radar -- if that. For Hamas, life is about fighting Abbas and his ruling Fatah faction -- and bringing Israel to its knees. Similarly, Abbas lives to bring about the collapse of Hamas, while also isolating and delegitimizing Israel in the international arena. While Palestinians were being killed and tortured in Syria, Abbas and Hamas were busy hurling insults at each other. Perhaps Abbas's social calendar does not permit him to hear about the suffering of his people in Syria. As the reports about the Palestinian victims were emerging, Abbas was in Cairo socializing with famous Egyptian actors and actresses. He even found time to visit one of them, Nadia Lutfi, in hospital. Scores of Palestinians who are being treated in the same and nearby hospitals in Cairo would have been happy to have received his visit. Where was he? Abbas is punishing Hamas and Hamas is threatening Abbas. All the while, Palestinians in Syria are dying daily. Will Abbas and Hamas ever utter critical words about the Syrian leadership or any other Arabs who mistreat and murder Palestinians? Not likely. Abbas and Hamas remain silent about the suffering of their people, while the world also yawns. Nearing Midnight: A New Year; New Regulation -Todd Strandberg - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ Every year hundreds of new California laws take effect Jan. 1. In 2016 and 2017, California lawmakers passed 900 new laws each year - that's about 7.5 bills per legislator. California has easily become one of the most regulated states in the union. There is so much government control emanating from the state capital of Sacramento that, at some point, we have to question if Democracy still exists in the Golden State. If the person who owns a home has little control over how they manage their property, do they really own it? California tells residents what trees they are allowed to cut down, what amount of water they're able to collect or use, and what types of building materials they're allowed to use for new construction. The problem is not just the quantity of regulations. In recent years, California lawmakers have passed bills that involve the most trivial details of people's lives. I found one news article that listed 20 pages of new laws for 2019. I picked out four of the craziest regulations: AB 1884: Plastic straws Dine-in restaurants in the state will be prohibited from giving out single-use plastic straws unless they are requested by a customer. Businesses that don't comply will be fined $25 a day and up to $300 a year. AB 2274: Divorce and pets Judges will be able to decide who gets custody of a family pet during a divorce. The judge will consider factors like who takes care or feeds the pet. AB 485: Pet stores Pet stores will be prohibited from selling live animals like dogs, cats or rabbits that come from breeders. The animals must be obtained from an animal shelter and the store must post the name of the agency where it got the animal. AB 1755: Bicycling crashes Bicyclists could face felony hit-and-run charges if they leave the scene of an accident where someone was injured or died. I don't understand the fixation with plastic straws. Somehow banning this tiny amount of plastic is going to save the world's oceans from the vast tons of plastic that come from other sources. Dine-in restaurants might as well have been told not to bring silverware unless you request it from your server. It may seem progressive to have authorized a judge to decide who gets custody of a pet. If adults can't decide this among themselves, then the judge might as well decide who gets custody of the house plants and toiletry products. The requirement to have pet stores sell animals that come from an animal shelter is going to match some child up with a dog that is a biting hazard. There were already laws banning puppy mills. Telling pet stores what they can sell is Soviet-style central planning. The law about bicycling crashes is bad because it's unnecessary. If you hit and injure someone with your bike, you should stop and render assistance. This new law allows the police to create infraction that didn't previously exist. If someone else hits a person with their bike, you can be charged for leaving the scene of a crime. There is always the possibility that people will reach their breaking point with government regulation. In France, the "yellow vest" protests sprang from profound cultural tensions, especially between rural and urban France. The Paris government already had massive taxes on diesel. The government had decided it was necessary to "protect the environment" and "combat climate change" by jacking up fuel prices by almost 20 percent. Truckers suddenly decided they had enough and they went on a rampage. The intensity of the protests quickly forced the government to permanently shelve its plans for fuel-tax increases. The "yellow vests" quickly became part of the problem by demanding a series of further concessions from the government. Their requests include a redistribution of wealth as well as the increase of salaries, pensions, social security payments and the minimum wage. Some say they will not settle for anything less than the president's resignation. I wish there was a massive revolt against all these nanny-state laws, but the Bible seems to indicate government control will only get worse in the coming years. By the time the Antichrist comes to power, a global government will have the authority to behead anyone who fails to worship the head of state. "I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years" (Revelation 20:4). II Chronicles 3:1 (The Israel Bible™) View of the Temple Mount (Credit: David Brummer/Breaking Israel News) A Temple Mount expert, a rabbi who has been studying the subject for years, combined his knowledge of Jewish sources and archaeology and arrived at the conclusion that the Jewish Temples did not stand where visitors now see the prominent golden Dome of the Rock. The Temple Mount is the holiest site in Judaism. To be more precise, the site draws its sanctity from the two Temples that once stood there. Their precise location is a source of great debate and many Jews refrain from entering the site lest they enter areas that were restricted to Kohanim (priests) who were on the proper level of ritual purity. Knowing the precise location of the Temples would permit all Jews to ascend to the site as well as pave the way for a Third Temple to be built. Jews who ascend the Temple Mount frequently look to the golden dome as the focal point, believing the two Jewish Temples stood precisely there with the large stone, the centerpiece of the Muslim shrine, as the base for the Holy of Holies. Rabbi Harry Moskoff, the author of the A.R.K. Report, has come to a different conclusion; the Dome of the Rock is close but not on spot. His 20-year search has led him through many possibilities. 'At first, I thought it was in the northern end of the Temple Mount," Moskoff told Breaking Israel News. He based this on the research of Professor Asher Selig Kaufman of Hebrew University, who was considered one of the leading experts on the subject until he passed away. Moskoff corresponded with the professor regarding his theory. "He believed the Holy of Holies was located where the Dome of the Spirits now stands." The Dome of the Spirits, Bir al-Arwah in Arabic, is a partly natural, partly man-made cave. What lies beneath the surface is unknown as the Muslim authorities refuse to allow even cursory observations on the Mount. Moskoff then began to investigate the theory proposed by archaeologist Tuvia Sagiv who held that the Holy of Holies stood where the al-Qas (cup) Fountain now stands, much further south than the Dome of the Spirits. The fountain is the main ablution located between the Dome of the Rock and the silver-domed Al Aqsa Mosque. The fountain was originally supplied with water from Solomon's Pools near Bethlehem, but water is now supplied by pipes. "Each theory stood on the merits of its proofs but when combined, some of the proofs each man brought canceled out the other theory," Moskoff said. Moskoff decided to continue his search for a location that would satisfy all the proofs. But what had been made clear to was that the Dome of the Rock did not satisfy any of the proofs. "When it was built in the seventh century, the Caliph Abd al-Malik ordered it built. He asked the Jews of Jerusalem where the Temple had stood. He saw the ruins of the ruins of the Roman Temple of Jupiter that was built by Hadrian after the second Bar Kochba Revolt in the second century. The Jews intentionally misled him, telling him that those ruins were indeed the remains of the Jewish Temple." Moskoff emphasized that the Dome of the Rock is shaped like a Byzantine shrine and not like a typical mosque and does not face Mecca. He noted that the layout of the Dome of the Rock in relation to Al-Aqsa Mosque is identical to a temple of Jupiter found in Lebanon. The Mishnah (oral law) states explicitly that the Holy of Holies was not in the center of the Temple Mount. Moskoff pointed out that topography was altered at several stages in history by Herod and later during the reign of the Hasmoneans. The Bible states that Solomon built the Temple on the mountain. Then Shlomo began to build the House of Hashem in Yerushalayim on Mount Moriah, where [Hashem] had appeared to his father David, at the place which David had designated, at the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite. II Chronicles 3:1 "The verse states that it was on the mountain," Moskof said. "It does not specify that it was at the top of the mountain. The Temple was located on a threshing floor bought by King David. These are not located on mountain tops. In the days of Solomon, the peak of the mountain was located where the Dome of the Rock is." Moskoff also cited a personal account recorded by Rabbi Moses ben Maimon, known as Maimonides and by the acronym Rambam who was the foremost Torah authority of the 12th century. The Rambam visited Jerusalem and ascended the Temple Mount, entering the Dome of the Rock. "The Rambam would not have entered the building if he thought it was the location of the Holy of holies," Moskoff asserted. Combining all of the archaeological hints and based on the Jewish texts, Moskoff came to the conclusion that the Holy of Holies stood to the southwest of the Dome of the Rock. It is interesting to note that his theory indicates the First Temple was tilted at an axis of 6.1975 degrees to the north of east in order to directly face the sun as it rose on Mount Moriah. The Second Temple was built on an axis of 5.971 degrees north of east. The change in alignment was due to the 70 years separating the destruction of the first Temple from the construction of the second. Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch, one of the leading Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) rabbis, and several other leading rabbis have written decisions agreeing with Moskoff's theory. If proven accurate, Moskoff's theory would permit the construction of a structure for Jewish worship without infringing on the Muslim structures currently at the site. Moskoff is working to bring his theory to the attention of Israeli politicians. "Jewish sovereignty on the Temple Mount needs to be advanced," Moskoff said. "It is important for the Arabs to know that we are intensely interested in the site." He related an experience in which he witnessed a senior Palestinian politician addressing a group of foreign press in Hebron. "It's clear to us that the real Jews aren't interested in Hebron. The Palestinian official said to the press. "They don't consider it to be part of Israel. The only Jews who care about Hebron are the settlers in jeans and sandals with their tzitzit hanging out. The real Jews, the ones who wear black, the rabbis, they stay away." Moskoff learned a deep lesson from this. "If we turn our backs or are the least bit apathetic about any part of Israel, even the places that are the most holy and important to us, we will lose them," Moskoff said. "We need to show an intense interest in the Temple Mount. We can't just walk away or shrug our shoulders because the Arabs are there." Moskoff's theory would permit Jews to ascend to the Temple Mount without fear of wandering into forbidden areas. But as a Kohen (a descendant of Aaron and a member of the priestly caste) Moskoff warns that visiting the site is not to be treated lightly and only recommends it under specific conditions. A person who intends to ascend should prepare themselves physically and spiritually. Jews are required to immerse in a mikveh (ritual bath) and may not wear leather shoes. While on the site, a proper level of reverence must be maintained and the sanctity of the site must be recognized. "This last point shouldn't be a problem," Moskoff noted. "If you have eyes to see Hashem in this world, the place glows with holiness." Daily Jot: The 1984 prophecy by a former communist - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com Former Soviet KGB agent Yuri Bezmenov, who defected from the Soviet Union in 1970, was interviewed in 1984 about Soviet infiltration methods. Bezmenov said that by 1970 the Soviet Union already had infiltrated the US through brainwashing left-leaning people in the news media, entertainment, politics, business, education, and religion. He said the Soviet Union used a brainwashing strategy called ideological subversion designed to change the perception of reality of every American so "no one is able to come to sensible conclusions" to defend themselves, their families, or their country. Sadly, Bezmenov was prophetic as many socialists, now called progressives, hold key positions in American society. Bezmenov said there are four stages of ideological subversion. The first stage, demoralization, which takes 15-30 years according to Bezmenov, was completed before 1985. The second stage, also completed, is destabilization. This is where people destabilize the entire nation through actions that are counter to common sense and sound practices. The third stage is creating crisis. And the fourth stage is normalization. Bezmenov said that the leftists that help create these stages are the first to be executed by a communist dictatorship because once they find out they have perpetrated a lie, they become the most ardent opposition. Those who stand against communism by warning others are also executed. Bezmenov said that the Soviets used brainwashed leftists to teach Marxism-Leninism ideology to several generations of American students. He said that these teachings included feminism, sexual liberation, hedonism, anti-war sentiments, liberation theology, and globalism. He said these students are now the people who are the business, religious, political, educational, media, and entertainment leaders of American society. He said, "You are stuck with them. They are contaminated. They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli...You cannot change their mind, even if you expose them to authentic information...the process of demoralization is complete and irreversible." To reverse this process, Bezmenov said writing letters will not work. He said, "There must be a very strong national effort to educate people in the spirit of real patriotism, number one. Number two, to explain to them the real danger of socialist, communist, welfare state, big brother government...The moment at least part of the United States population is convinced that the danger is real, they have to force their government...to stop aiding communism." I will add another way to reverse the process: Mark 16:15, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." And Ephesians 6:20, "...that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak." Christian Americans must see clearly and act decisively. Then the Bible tells us that Jesus "perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king" (John 6:15 NKJV). In effect the people were saying, "You're going to be our king whether you like it or not, because you're the kind of king we want. Raising the dead? That's nice. Restoration of sight to the blind? That's good. A free meal? Now we're talking!" Essentially they were using God. So Jesus commanded His disciples to get into a boat, and then He sent them away. Why? Jesus knew this would destroy them. On more than one occasion the disciples had argued about who among them would be the greatest in the kingdom. These guys would have been propelled from rags to riches. They would have gone from being ostracized to being men of great influence. And it would have destroyed them. For their own protection, Jesus wanted to get them out of there as soon as possible. So off they went, and they hit a storm. That is exactly what the disciples needed, because it was a protecting storm. Sometimes a storm comes into our lives that is protecting us from something worse. That is difficult for us to wrap our minds around. Is it possible that a hardship could ever be better than a success? Sometimes a hardship can be better than success, because there are things we learn through hardships that we would not have learned otherwise. The One who stirs up the storm is the hiding place in it. And sometimes the things we dread most in life can be the best things for us. God will allow calamity to show us His power.
