Things are not always as they appear. That statement is often repeated and is well said. I recall enjoying an evening at the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo at the Broadmoor Arena in Colorado Springs in the late 1960s. The guest celebrities were Doc and Festus of the Gunsmoke television series. In their segment they did several of their give and take comedy routines familiar to those who had watched the programs on television. Then it came the time for Festus to sing a western ballad. In a smooth, rich baritone voice the ballad rolled out of that squeaky-voiced Festus, the stumbling, mumbling deputy of Marshall Dillon! I was really taken by surprise! It turns out that Festus was, in real life Ken Curtis, once a member of the Sons of the Pioneers after a prior notable career in other musical venues. Things are not always as they appear to be. Middle class America, sometimes describing themselves as being "in a rat race," often have the subtle sense that it looks like "the rats are winning!" When I was a practicing CPA, preparing tax returns and keeping track of records for that purpose, basically, as it turned out, it appeared that perhaps the rats were winning because the deck was stacked against people at the start. A young couple-college graduates or not-decide to marry, have a family, fulfill careers, and enjoy the good life of American freedom. Several massive issues hit them immediately: They both get jobs; they both need a car; they want to buy a home; children appear on the scene; providing for their education looms over them; starting a retirement fund; paying college loans, car loans, home mortgage; financial needs mushroom; and they are told, in counsel, that they should have at least six months of emergency funds set aside to meet unexpected calamities! It looks like the rats are winning because they have a head start! If the couple has no real, practical faith in God, they are way behind already. In today's American culture, there is a strong trend that when the son or daughter turns eighteen years old and graduates from high school, its "Goodbye, Mom and Dad, and your God, I am done with it!" What a dismal picture I have painted, yet it is so often the way it is. Things are not always what they seem to be. The God of reality has been replaced with the god of things and stuff...and emptiness and hopelessness. If God didn't move, who did? Perhaps it is designed to bring man to face the question, "What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul" (Mark 8:36). When viewed through the lenses of spiritual reality, there is hope, for Jesus said, "In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). When Jesus asked His disciples, in John 6:67-69, "Do you also want to go away," Peter exclaimed, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." As one of his subtitles in his paraphrase of Paul's letter to the Philippians, J.B. Phillips wrote, "Man's Extremity Is God's Opportunity." When we get to the end of our rope, God is there. The godless mindset of the liberal, socialistic elements of our society swarmed to the appealing oratory of Barack Obama and allowed him eight years of almost free-wheeling manipulation of the basic foundations of our Republic, and any attempt at rebuke was met with an outcry of "racist" or "conspiracy theorist." No one was allowed to properly vet Obama and his background is, at best, a shadowy uncertainty. No doubt, like most of the media and the Clinton campaign, he expected Hillary to end up winning the presidency. Evidently, that led him to quietly mutter, "The end of the Republic has never looked better" during the early moments of his talk at the April 30, 2016, Correspondents' Dinner in Washington, D.C. Why would a president say that, after eight years, unless he was on a planned program to accomplish just that? Yet, no one has challenged him on it, so far as I have seen. Not one. Well, he did set out to "fundamentally transform America forever," didn't he? He told us that plainly, over and over during the 2008 campaign. And now he has summed up his legacy as a success and the country is in greater shape than it has ever been. Deceit and deception are two descriptive words that come to mind. Sometimes things are not as they appear to be. Why did God allow him to become president? How could it have been possible that so many fell into lockstep with him, even now claiming to hold him at a popularity level of fifty-three or more per cent of the nation? Was God allowing this nation, which has been the beacon of light and hope for the whole world, to test its real heart and commitment? He has shown the nation what the liberals had to offer, and it was like a wet paper sack, empty and holding nothing. At this writing there are sixty-nine lemmings who are piled up at the bottom of the cliff, having plunged over the edge still committed to a failed leadership with a failed philosophy. Fortunately, grassroots America, both evangelical Christian and every-day hardhats and blue collar patriots rose up and defied the so-called, self-identified "more intelligent" who were so sure they had captured the election and would have eight more years of Obama destruction of America's foundations. Obama came into office with two agendas-one, an assigned task of "leading us into a new world order," which would require the destruction of America's sovereignty. The other one, in my own opinion, was a subtle and hidden desire and intent to effect the conversion of the world to Islam. His claim to be a Christian was an empty and totally unsupported effort to deceive and mislead from his true purpose. His most memorable moment, as he said in his opening remarks to the beginning of Ramadan, the Islamic holy days in 2009, was the early morning Islamic call to prayer. What was the reason for that special tour of the Arab/Islamic countries so soon after becoming president in 2009, where he apologized for America and bowed down before the king of Saudi Arabia, a submissive, subjective gesture to the leader of another country? Why has he been instrumental in overthrowing Islamic dictators, even, in Middle East countries? When the Egyptian military coup threw out the Muslim Brotherhood leadership, why did Obama send Secretaries Hagel and Kerry there to convince the new military government to allow the Muslim Brotherhood to have a part in it? Why did he insist on calling the Fort Hood massacre "workplace violence" when it was clearly Islamic terrorism and everyone knows that to be so? Why did he mastermind such a benevolent agreement with Iran to allow them access to nuclear power and give them billions of dollars? Count the waste of American lives and tangible resources as the price we have paid. It makes one wonder about the integrity of his oath of office. Even Obama's signature legislation, the Affordable Care Act, was too expensive to be acceptable, except for those who were subsidized by government funding, and insurance companies were abandoning the plan, wholesale, or pricing themselves out of reach of the needy. Some analysts have concluded that it was never meant to be successful but to be a tool to bring complete social medicine to America-a prime feature of the liberal, socialistic dream. But America's choice was simply like deciding what will we have for supper? Shall we put together a salad or a crockpot of a variety of ingredients of our own selected choices, or do we just open up another can of soup like we have done for eight years? America has decided to try a new menu of its own choosing. But things are not always as they appear to be. Had Hillary Clinton won the election, is there any doubt whatsoever that the downward spiral of America would have continued? So if that would have brought in a New World Order as the forerunner of a one world government-the seven-headed beast prophesied in Revelation 13-why did God, apparently, put a stop to it? It spills out this way: While God has that ultimate goal in mind, He has never allowed "flesh and blood" (ungodly mankind) to decide how and when prophetic events, even personal salvation, are to occur. A notable example of that is His death. The religious leaders desperately wanted to kill Him, but He said, "No one takes it [His life] from Me, but I lay it down of Myself" (John 10:18). Remember what Jesus said in Luke 17:26-30 in regard to social and economic conditions at the coming of the Son of Man: "And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise, as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed." The context continues through verse 37 with more detail, but it is clear that America and the world will not be devastated and subservient to a new world order when Jesus returns. Social and economic activities will be in full swing when Jesus comes. God has kept His plan free of the taint of Adam's "flesh and blood" input and has given a window of opportunity for evangelical Christians to tell the good news of salvation to as many more as possible. It reminds me of the words of an old country gospel song I heard many years ago and once again just recently: "Wait a little longer, please Jesus, a few more days to get our loved ones in!" Mr. Trump, you have been elected President of the United States. Christians prayed and God answered our prayers. You have committed yourself to "Make America Great Again" and I applaud this promise. Sir, a nation or a person is only as great as the God or god they serve. If you serve God Almighty then your efforts will be blessed. We can see the results of serving gods that are demonic and I am tired of being a citizen of a country whose leaders serve demon gods. God Almighty said "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Exodus 20:3. That is a Commandment, not a suggestion. In fact it is the first of Ten Commandments. If that first one is followed then the others should all fall into place. Mr. President, America can only be great if God is first. Over the past few decades Jesus Christ has been banned from our schools and from our government. When God is removed from schools and government, sin abounds. Moral decay has gripped this nation since prayer and the Bible were banned. This has to change. Invite Jesus into all government buildings, government meetings, and into our public schools. Secular humanism is a religion with no moral guidance but it is allowed into our children's classrooms. Christianity is faith not religion, it's a way of life with moral standards to strive to live by. The word of God teaches moral integrity yet it is banned while secular humanism, which teaches amoral values, is encouraged. This is wrong. Jesus said "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20. Jesus will not force Himself into a place where He is not welcome. Mr. Trump, as President of the United States of America, open the door to Him and invite Him into public schools, government meetings, and into the White House. Mr. President, you are the Commander In Chief of a military force that is second to none. Remember those who wear uniforms and fight battles where they are sent. There will never be an end to war until Jesus Christ reigns, and there are many battles being fought today. Please, don't degrade our soldiers of today and those veterans who have served in the past. Don't forget our soldiers in their time of need. Not all battles are fought with guns, airplanes, or tanks. The most dangerous enemy that anyone faces is Satan. Spiritual warfare is a reality and the weapons required to fight that battle only come from God. Allow the chaplains who minister to our military to arm these soldiers for spiritual battle. Allow them to call on the name of Jesus and share His love with our troops. Without Jesus the battle is lost. "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." Ephesians 6:13. The war on terror is a war against satanic powers and demon gods. If you deny spiritual weapons then all the bullets in the world won't win the battle. Mr. President, you have promised to recognize Israel in a way that previous presidents have failed. You have said you will move the American Embassy to Jerusalem. God has promised to bless those who bless His chosen people of Israel, and He will curse those who curse them. I applaud your stance on Israel. There will be a loud outcry from satanic voices who want Israel eliminated. Read your Bible to understand that God gave that land to Israel forever. Study prophecy and you will understand that God has not abandoned Israel. One day the Jewish nation will recognize that Jesus Christ was their Messiah and when they finally acknowledge Him, He will fight for them. Until that day, strong and brave men like you need to stand behind Israel. There is a blessing in doing so. God told Abraham "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." Genesis 12:3. God gave the land to Israel. Dividing the land and creating a so-called Palestinian State will only bring God's anger upon those who promote this affront to God. In the recent past America has been hit by many disasters each time our government has snubbed Israel or forced them to give up land. Doing what is right in God's eyes is always the right thing to do. Mr. Trump, stand behind Israel. Mr. President, you have been elected at a time in history that is like none other. Those who have eyes to see and ears to hear know that end time Biblical prophecy is being fulfilled. I urge you to study all areas of the Bible, including prophecy. "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places. All these are the beginnings of sorrows." Matthew 24:7-8. We live in a time that all signs point to as being a final generation prior to God's wrath coming upon all nations. America will not be an exception. Your leadership will be a great influence upon the people of the United States and also people in other nations. The decisions you make will be felt throughout the world. Please, sir, take every decision you face to God in prayer, then listen for His answer. "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6. Seek God's counsel and He will direct you. Mr. President, your opponent in this election called me deplorable. If being deplorable means standing for Godly values, then I am deplorable in the eyes of the liberals. Oddly enough, things I find deplorable are murdering precious babies in the womb and selling their body parts for profit, rioting for days on end while destroying property and lives in protest of a perceived violent act, same sex marriage which is an abomination in the eyes of God, American jobs lost because corporations move to foreign countries with no penalty, generational welfare, terrorism, and just about everything the liberal left stands for. Their immature tactics and name calling are an embarrassment to this great nation. The liberal left lost the election but their temper tantrums continue. I am not ashamed to be deplorable in the eyes of the liberals and the likes of your opponent in this past election. Most of all I am not ashamed of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. "For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed." Romans 10:11. Sir, keep your heart turned to God. Bring dignity back to the office of President and to America. Mr. President, we are all sinners saved by grace. You have made many mistakes, but so have I and every other human on earth. Your enemies have pointed out your words and actions towards women, though they have selective memories when it comes to previous presidents and Hollywood stars. If you have truly accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, then you, sir, have been forgiven. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" Ephesians 2:8. Don't take His grace for granted. Temptations will be placed in your path, but God will always provide a way for you to escape the temptations around you. "Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him." James 1:12. King David was a great leader and was known as a man after God's own heart, yet even he had his moments of weakness. What separates him from lesser men is that when his sin was brought to his attention he repented, which means he didn't try to justify himself or make excuses. He saw the sin in his actions, fell on his face before God, and asked to be forgiven. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9. Confess to Jesus and He will forgive. A strong leader will humble himself before God. Mr. President, I'm sure that you will never read this commentary. My voice is small but it reflects the heart of many Americans "from the urban sprawl of Detroit to the windswept plains of Nebraska" and may I add from sea to shining sea. Surround yourself with godly men to advise you. I hope your campaign promises and the speech you gave when you placed your hand on the Holy Bible and swore the oath of office weren't just hollow words. I voted for you because I believe you are a man who is a strong leader and capable of following through on your promises. I hope that as the days go on you will lean on Jesus in all things. "Thus saith Hashem to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him, and to loose the loins of kings; to open the doors before him, and that the gates may not be shut." Isaiah 45:1 (The Israel Bible™) In an ancient and honored Jewish custom, the nascent Sanhedrin sent a letter to the new leader of the U.S., President Donald Trump, blessing him and calling on him to take the lead in restoring America and the world. The Sanhedrin also called on the new president to acknowledge and uphold the Seven Noahide laws. The letter follows the custom of the Jewish people to bless foreign kings as seen in a verse in Jeremiah, Rabbi Dov Stein, secretary of the Sanhedrin, told Breaking Israel News. And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray unto Hashem for it; for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace. Jeremiah 29:7 Sanhedrin member Rabbi Yoel Shwartz expanded on the decision, pointing out the importance of Trump's role. "We turned to President Trump because America functions as a world leader today in many things," he told Breaking Israel News. "As such, we addressed the new president, asking him to fix things that Barack Obama broke, to bring back family values and to lead the war against radical Islamic terror. "He has already made moves in the proper direction, and we bless him that he will continue to bring back the values that made America great," praised Rabbi Shwartz. "We hope he will advance the Noahide laws that are incumbent upon all men." The prayer sent by the Sanhedrin to Trump is different from that usually recited by Jews living under foreign rule, Rabbi Stein explained. "There was a version of the prayer that was said by Jews living under foreign kings, to appease the king in hopes that he will not oppress the Jews under his rule," said Rabbi Stein. The prayer is still said in synagogues around the world and begins with a verse from Psalms. Who givest salvation unto kings, who rescuest David Thy servant from the hurtful sword. Psalms 144:10 As suggested by the verse, the prayer is motivated by fear that a monarch ruling over Jews in exile would turn tyrannical and oppressive to the Jews who, as strangers in a strange land, depended on the king's good will. But the Sanhedrin blessed Trump in a different tradition of blessing foreign monarchs which existed in Biblical Israel. "We blessed him as an independent nation blessing a close ally," said Rabbi Stein. The Sanhedrin's letter begins, "We thank God that a suitable man was chosen to lead America, whose values in the past symbolized a belief in God, and educated its people in morals and family values." The Sanhedrin then calls on President Trump to follow the Seven Noahide Laws, given by God as a binding set of laws for all of humanity. The Sanhedrin described the laws as a framework that will benefit all mankind. "It is essential to return to the divine order that was given at Mount Sinai to all of Man, to the fundamental principle that is common courtesy and common sense preceding everything," the letter emphasizes. "It is important to return to the seven guidelines given to Noah and his offspring that protect all human and moral obligations." The Sanhedrin also urges the president to adhere to his campaign promise of renewed support of Israel, including moving the US embassy to Jerusalem, so that Israel can fulfill its Biblical role as a light unto the nations. "As an honorable President, you are aware of the importance of Israel as an ally, especially a cultural ally, of the United States. The whole world anticipates the instilling of Bible values - God's morality given on Mount Sinai for all the world. "We must work together so that these values will be the inalienable property of all mankind," the rabbinical body proposes. The letter concludes with a final benediction for the world, but especially the two allies. "It is our prayer to God that our way will successfully bring welfare and happiness to all mankind, and especially to Israel and the United States, and all of humanity will benefit from this." THE 7 LAWS 1 Acknowledge that there is only one G-d who is Infinite and Supreme above all things. Do not replace that Supreme Being with finite idols, be it yourself, or other beings. This command includes such acts as prayer, study and meditation. 2 Respect the Creator. As frustrated and angry as you may be, do not vent it by cursing your Maker. 3 Respect human life. Every human being is an entire world. To save a life is to save that entire world. To destroy a life is to destroy an entire world. To help others live is a corollary of this principle. 4 Respect the institution of marriage. Marriage is a most Divine act. The marriage of a man and a woman is a reflection of the oneness of G-d and His creation. Disloyalty in marriage is an assault on that oneness. 5 Respect the rights and property of others. Be honest in all your business dealings. By relying on G-d rather than on our own conniving, we express our trust in Him as the Provider of Life. 6 Respect G-d's creatures. At first, Man was forbidden to consume meat. After the Great Flood, he was permitted - but with a warning: Do not cause unnecessary suffering to any creature. 7 Maintain justice. Justice is G-d's business, but we are given the charge to lay down necessary laws and enforce them whenever we can. When we right the wrongs of society, we are acting as partners in the act of sustaining the creation.

Syria stands on the threshold of dramatic changes that will directly impact on the strategic and military situation along the Syrian borders with Israel and Jordan, debkafile reports exclusively. They derive from a deal struck this week by US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin to establish US, Russian and Turkish security zones in Syria. This scheme will transfer military control of the country to those three powers. Each of them will be responsible for a zone whose borders will be defined and agreed upon by Washington, Moscow and Ankara. As part of this arrangement, all forces from the Iranian military, the pro-Iranian Shiite militias and Hezbollah will be required to leave Syria. The US military is to have two security zones - one covering the entire area east of the Euphrates River up to the Iraqi border including Kurdish areas (see attached map). This arrangement will partly resurrect the accord reached in late 2015 by US President Barack Obama and Putin, for the division of Syria into areas of influence. All territory east of the Euphrates was allocated to the US, with Russia taking responsibility for all areas west of the river until the Mediterranean coast. . Under the new deal, the Turkish area is to stretch about 650 kilometers along the entire Syria-Turkey border and extend between 35 and 50 kilometers into Syrian territory up to Al-Bab, the town where the Turkish military is engaged in its third straight month of fighting for its capture from ISIS. debkafile's military and intelligence sources report that the overriding change on the ground will be the establishment of a second US security zone adjacent to Syria's borders with Israel and Jordan. It means that the approximately 7,500 US special operations forces troops currently in Jordan will be shifted northward into southern Syria. Russia had originally planned to deploy Syrian military, pro-Iranian Shiite militia and Hezbollah forces in battles for the capture of land around the cities of Derra and Quneitra on the Syrian side of the Golan. That plan has been dropped and will be superseded by the deployment in southern Syria of US troops accompanied by Jordanian special forces and Syrian rebels, trained by American instructors in Jordanian military camps. Israelis will breathe a sigh of relief over the removal of the threat of Iranian and Hezbollah forces being deployed along their northern border with Syria. The Trump-Putin deal for Syria and its ramifications are explored in the coming issue of DEBKA Weekly (for subscribers) out Friday, with especially attention to the way it leaves Iran and Hezbollah high and dry. 
Pentagon Pursues "LOCUST" Drone Swarm Technology - Precursor to Revelation 9? - http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=965
The Pentagon continued it's quest to unleash a 21st-century version of locusts on its adversaries this week after another successful test of drone swarm technology was completed using 103 Perdix micro-drones. This large scale drone army is made possible by advancements in artificial intelligence, which allows groups of robots to act together to demonstrate advanced swarm behaviors such as collective decision-making, adaptive formation flying and self-healing. "Perdix are not pre-programmed synchronized individuals, they are a collective organism, sharing one distributed brain for decision-making and adapting to each other like swarms in nature," said William Roper, director of the Pentagon's Strategic Capabilities Office. "Because every Perdix communicates and collaborates with every other Perdix, the swarm has no leader and can gracefully adapt to drones entering or exiting the team." Such drone swarms could change the face of modern warfare and some prophecy watchers find both the technology and name of the US Naval program behind it perhaps more than coincidence. A few months ago the US navy also demonstrated its Low-Cost UAV Swarming Technology (LOCUST) program by putting 30 drones flying together in perfect formation. These drones are launched from a special tube in less than a minute to create a vicious swarm designed to overwhelm an adversary autonomously. What makes the swarm unique is that any hostile aircraft, manned or unmanned, can be brought down by a single missile, but a swarm can take multiple hits and keep going. The drones are self-reconfiguring so that if one drone gets taken out, the others autonomously change their behavior to complete the mission. Several test simulations by the Navy have shown that drone swarms are consistently able to get past ship defenses that are geared towards shooting down single planes. This weakness means it makes sense to attack an enemy ship with a large number of cheap drones rather than one missile costing the same. Ironically, the best counter to drone swarm attacks being studied is a defensive drone swarm that can intercept the offensive ones. The aim is to have thirty or more drones flying together without having to be individually controlled, maintaining separation safely like a flock of birds. They are different from any other drone in that the operator does not control an individual aircraft, but pilots the whole swarm as a single unit. With manned aircraft and ships, the pilot's life counts for a lot; but swarming drones are expendable and high "casualties" do not matter as much. This is a very different world to the dogfights that, historically, have made up modern warfare and could drastically alter the course of air warfare forever. Experts predict that as drone swarm techniques are perfected they will expand both in number and use. The Office of Naval Research has already experimented with a swarming configuration of 13 robotic boats on Virginia's James River. The boats were able to perform a variety of tasks to protect a high-value ship from incoming craft. Some prophecy watchers find it interesting that the Bible describes "locust" type creatures that play a significant role in end-time conflict. Revelation 9 describes them this way: The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were something like crowns of gold, and their faces were like faces of men. They had hair like the hair of women, and their teeth were like the teeth of lions. They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses running to battle. They had tails like scorpions and stings in their tails. Their power was to hurt men for five months. They had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek his name is Apollyon. (Revelation 9:7-11). What on earth was the Apostle John talking about? Exactly what kind of locusts did he witness on the Isle of Patmos where he received these prophetic revelations? The traditional interpretation is that these locusts could be evil entities and/or demonic physical or spiritual beings that will rise up out of the bottomless pit (abyss) to torment people and assume the characteristics of locusts, some even feel CERN experiments could be responsible for such an occurrence. Others speculate they may be some form of grotesque variation of natural locusts as we know them today (perhaps even some form of chimeras or other DNA manipulation that scientists are now moving ahead with), or did John the Apostle perhaps see some advanced military aerial machinery that he lacked the words to describe? The revelations were given to him about 2,000 years ago when there would have been no way for him properly to describe 21st-century technological inventions that would follow many centuries later. Is it possible John was describing some type of technology in our day similar to the LOCUST program? Until recently, the most common technological correlation was that of helicopter gunships but, as insect looking drones and swarm technology become more common, this may present an interesting possible explanation and the name of the program being called "LOCUST" could not be more ironic. Either way, Revelation 9 suggests a time of immense pain and suffering that no one will want to experience, regardless of what final form it takes. In 1968 Eric von Daniken wrote a book called Chariots of the Gods suggesting that ancient astronauts visited earth to "seed" our planet and constructed monuments which exist even today. Many Bible scholars believe these ancient monuments ,including the Great Pyramid of Giza were built by the fallen angels before the Flood. The belief that our Creator comes from the stars rather than being the One who made them is one of the great deceptions of the end times. "And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie." (2 Thessalonians 2:11) Just what is this "strong delusion" mentioned in this Scripture? Many Bible prophecy commentators believe it refers to the UFO phenomenon and that extraterrestrials will play a role in the end times as fallen angels masquerading as "space brothers." The description of "signs in the heavens" during the last days is believed by some to be pointing to the UFO phenomenon and has given rise to what the Bible describes as "doctrines of demons" (I Timothy 4:1-4). "Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken." (Luke 21:26) "Things which are coming on the earth" could imply things that are not of this earth but of an extraterrestrial nature. A recent poll conducted by the Huffington Post revealed that more people living in the UK believe in extraterrestrials than those who believe in God. There is a curious Scripture in Daniel 2:43 which says "they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men." "They" seems to refer to beings that are not of the seed of men. In the sixth chapter of Genesis we are told fallen angels bred with the women of earth creating a race of giants known as the Nephilim. In the days of Noah the Nephilim practiced genetic interference mixing the DNA of humans and animals to create "chimera" or monstrosities. These creatures were an abomination to God so He destroyed them in the Flood along with the Nephilim. The Obama Administration - through the National Institute of Health - proposed a new policy to allow scientists to use federal funding to create part-human, part-animal embryos known as "chimera." Last year the Pope gave his blessing to mix human and animal DNA to create chimera for the sake of medical research. "And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man." (Luke 17:26) Combining human stem calls with animal embryos to create a new life form that is part-human, part-animal is an example of man playing God. "We're not trying to make a chimera just because we want to see some kind of monstrous creature," said Pablo Ross, a reproductive biologist at the University of California. But many are concerned and have raised questions that chimera research could end up producing animals with human brains or animals able to father human children. Experiments involving the brain as well as giving animals human sperm and eggs are being planned by the National Institutes of Health. It all began in the Garden of Eden when Satan told Adam and Eve, "Ye shall be as gods" (Genesis 3:5). There are reports that Nephilim DNA has been recovered from bodies frozen in Antarctica, Iraq and other locations around the world. Some researchers believe there are secret projects using Nephilim DNA for interspecies breeding. So when we read the Scripture, "And as it was in the days of Noah . . ." we are eerily reminded of the mischief of Genesis chapter six and the lateness of the hour. There was a time - not too long ago - when such things were considered the fantasies of science fiction, but these shocking experiments have become a reality. When Nimrod began construction on the Tower of Babel God said, "Nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do" (Genesis 11:6) which translates to "Nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them." So God gave them different languages in order to confuse them which halted the construction. And how does God plan to avenge the altering of His creations today? This time the Flood will come as the Tribulation after God removes His faithful from the earth at the Rapture.

The mainstream news media must be reformed otherwise our nation is in great peril. The media, using half-truths, "if-then" scenarios, and alarmist statements of fear mongering criticizes every move that President Trump makes. If only, we as Christian Americans would stand in solidarity on behalf of restoring the truth and stop reading, listening to, or watching the mainstream media, perhaps the drop in ratings and revenue would result in change. We also must call out the lies and interpretations of the news based on a Marxist worldview. Remember a little bit of truth makes a better lie. Many like the idea of turning off the media, but they, wishing to be informed, ask how they could do this and still be responsible citizens. This comes down to two basic concepts: 1) no longer patronize the news media, and 2) discerning the truth. People ask how I do this. First and foremost, I pray and ask guidance from the Holy Spirit. I stopped watching the news about 10 years ago. I get my news through sources and by visiting a very small handful of websites, starting with The Drudge Report. Drudge is a news aggregator. It has the stories from all the major and many minor news outlets. It writes its own news very little. On this site, one can compare what the various news outlets are writing about a certain topic. When reading the stories, I also look for clues to go to the original source-If a speech is quoted, for example, I find the text. If a source is quoted, I go to that person's or organization's website and read all of what was said in its context. There are assumptions that I make. If the story is written by a mainstream media outlet, I assume that it is lying and that there is an opposite point of view. Then I look to find what others have written or find the actual source of the story. It's easier than you think. If something is reported that is outlandish, it's probably not true. I avoid sites like Snopes because they are funded by George Soros or other leftists and only perpetrate lies. One has to be careful not to fall into "group think"-that is what you see when all the reporters are using the same words to describe something, as if they are using talking points. Judge every story as to what the angle is and try to boil it down to one fundamental statement. For example, President Trump is ending the immigration policy of the previous Administration, including federal funding to sanctuary cities that harbor illegal aliens. The news media, however, reports that he is jack-booting immigration and stirs fear that families will be deported. These people, however, are here illegally. Laws are on the books to protect citizens. Illegals chose to break the law. This is part of boiling down the news to a fundamental statement. It is just an example. Discernment and truth are important and we need to know how to detect them before media reform can occur. Jesus said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." It is your responsibility to judge properly and not be deceived. You can do a little journalistic work and be well informed each day in the same time you would normally watch the news.

How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him? -Hebrews 2:3 We may think the best thing for unbelievers is to be in church week after week, hearing the gospel again and again. For committed believers, I think that is absolutely the best place to be. But I don't think the same is necessarily true for unbelievers. If they are choosing to live in sin and have no intention of responding to the gospel, then their hearts are becoming more hardened as they listen to it yet again. That is the danger of the gospel. It is actually dangerous to be exposed to the gospel and not respond to it. The first time we hear the gospel, we enter into what could be called a spiritual danger zone because we are, from that point on, held accountable for what we know. A similar thing happened to Pharaoh in the Old Testament. He saw miracle after miracle. But remember the Bible says that Pharaoh's heart grew harder (see Exodus 8:15, 19). And then we also read that "the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh" (see Exodus 9:12). Some people have a hard time with that, but a better translation of that phrase would be "the LORD strengthened the heart of Pharaoh." Pharaoh made his choice, and God strengthened him in it. It's frightening that someone can be exposed to so much truth, yet remain in, and even be strengthened in, unbelief. If a person chooses to believe, then God will strengthen him or her in that commitment. If someone chooses to harden his or her heart, then, in a sense, God will strengthen him or her in that as well. We make our choice, and then we reap the results of it. That is what happened with Pharaoh, that is what happened with Judas, and that is what can happen with us.
