(Daniel 9:27) Revelation 17:5 "And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues." I explored this possibility in the past, but my brother in Christ, Pete Garcia brought into my mind once again, when he did a message on something similar as related to the subject I wish to speak of. Many people try to interpret what John the Beloved Apostle and Daniel the prophet of the Old Testament wrote under Holy Spirit direction and who and where is the origin of "Mystery Babylon" or where the Beast power spoken of in Revelation will come from.. In past messages, I have explored where the beast power and Mystery Babylon will come from and reviewed three possibilities to include Rome and the Vatican City ruled by the pope, Mecca in Saudi Arabia which is waiting for the 12th Imam to arrive according to Islamic "mythology". And finally a third possibility that seems to be growing stronger and stronger as time moves forward. You'll find each Bible study concerning three possibilities that could be the Beast Power, or a combination of all three on my blog, as I dealt with the possibility of an Islamic Anti-Christ, the Roman Catholic Church, as has been the most pervasive since my youth and many believe the Pope will be the AC, and finally the most disturbing to any patriotic American, the USA being the Beast Power and the POTUS the Anti-Christ. Even though we may wonder and see signs that each of these three candidates have attributes that give us clues who is may actually be, I believe we won't know this side of the coming of Jesus for His church. The signs may become stronger, but the man will NOT be revealed until the church is removed. Scripture supports this analogy. WHERE IS AMERICA IN BIBLE PROPHECY? I have studied scripture and often wondered, as others have, where in the Bible is the United States of America found, or is she not found in its pages of prophecy? Where is the most powerful nation ever to be formed on this planet and controls most all of the economies of the world through the reserve currency being the dollar and has the most powerful military the world has ever seen? I believe the answer lies with 4 major prophets, both of the Old and New Testaments. Those being Daniel, Isaiah, Jeremiah in the Old Testament and John the Apostle in the New Testament. Now the clues are scattered about in the Bible, much like a big jigsaw puzzle that one must take a little here and a little there to come to any explanation of what "Mystery Babylon" is or where it is...remember she is called a mystery. Because of this mystery some would wonder, "Does God keep secrets?". To some it would seem so, but remember what is written in Proverbs 25:2 where we read the enigmatic passage, "It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter." Countless individuals throughout history have expressed frustration and bewilderment at this proclivity on the part of our Creator to conceal things or to keep secrets. But does He really? When the bible speaks of a "mystery" it refers to something not revealed in God's Word in the past, but is being shown in scripture in the New Testament. I believe God has given His Word to teach us and to reveal when the time is right what His plan is for the redemption of mankind and for the end of days when His judgment will be enacted on this evil world. Again, I have asked the question that I have had in studying scripture is "Just where is America, the most powerful country and nation in all of history, found in the pages of your Bible?". I believe it is right in front of our face as we read these four prophets of Ancient Israel. Let us take a journey down through some of the passages of these men of God to see maybe what God may be trying to tell us. WHAT DOES THE PROPHECY TEACHERS BELIEVE? First, if you are a follower of any of the prophecy teachers that deal with trying to identify "Mystery Babylon", you will quickly find that they take scripture quite literally and believe that the ancient city of Babylon will be rebuilt and will be the center of all commerce, trade, and the most powerful city on earth. I don't see us having that kind of time for the years to go by and Ancient Babylon being rebuilt and becoming a power house of economic and military might. The time table as Jesus spoke of in the "parable of the fig tree" in Matthew's Gospel tells us that the time is extremely short, as the generation that saw Israel reborn has reached the generational age of 70 years last May 2018. Others literally believe that modern Iraq, where Babylon was located, with its backward living conditions, civil war, and terrorism killing innocent men, women and children, will actually rise out of the ashes like a Phoenix and become what Jeremiah called the "Hammer of the Earth" and the center of all commerce. Jeremiah 50: 50:22 "A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction. 50:23 How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations! 50:24 I have laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O Babylon, and thou wast not aware: thou art found, and also caught, because thou hast striven against the LORD." No other nation has been the policeman of the world, as has the USA. Some will call us colonialist, or aggressors, but we have fought endless wars to promote human rights and democracy into all nations that we have fought wars in. I think of WW1 and WW2, the Vietnam War, the Gulf Wars, the invasion of Iraq, and Afghanistan to rid ourselves of communism and terrorism after 9/11 and the destruction of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Each and every time, world conditions and evil men have drawn America into fighting in foreign lands. Some will argue for no good reason and illusions of WMD's and money to be made from military hardware, but the point of the passage is that no other nation on earth can be called the hammer of the whole earth like the USA has been and still is...but notice verse 24 of the above passage? A snare has been laid and our destruction is sure. Now some will say, that this passage deals with ancient Babylon, but remember, scripture reveals what happened in the past, will happen in the future, as a duality of prophecy. I believe this is one such passage, but there is much more. Let's have scripture paint you a picture and see if you think that the land of Iraq can become the Hammer of the whole earth in the near future and fulfill even part of what scripture describes as "Mystery Babylon". Also notice in the opening verses, in Revelation 17, "The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues." What other nation do you know that has a melting pot of every nationality upon the earth and diverse languages other than English, than does one country, the USA? We have accepted many immigrants legally into this country that came from every corner of this planet, bringing their culture, language and lifestyle to find a new home in America. GREED OF A NATION and IDOLATRY Revelation 18:3 "For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies." There is no nation on earth that has had the economic might that America has had, especially after WW2, when the dollar became the standard currency of trade. Why was this so? Because we had each green- back covered in hard currency, GOLD. But no more. Since the Nixon Administration when the gold standard was abolished, we have been printing money out of thin air, and the nations have been deceived with this charade and have grown rich because of her wealth and trading with America. Thus, the Federal Reserve Board has most assuredly stolen from every nation, even as the USA has mounted up debt to the tune of 22 trillion dollars and growing through welfare, entitlements to the lazy, quantitative easing 1-4 and manipulation of the world markets through hedge funds, endless wars, and bank bailouts. We have robbed Peter to pay Paul and our economic shenanigans are bound to catch up with us...I believe sooner than later. When and if America's economy implodes, so will the rest of the world, as America leads the pack in trade and commerce. SINS OF THE FLESH, THAT IS AMERICA. Now let us touch on what America is most famous for in other countries and has corrupted their lives...and that is pornography. This is where I get the hairs of my head to stand up by telling you this. There is a symbol of our idolatry that is one of our national symbols standing in New York harbor. I have always thought that the statue that graces Staten Island stood only for freedom and liberty. But what does the "Statue of Liberty" represent and why did the French give it to us? Yes, we've all heard that it was a gift to celebrate our call to other nations to "send us your huddled masses" searching for freedom. What if I told you that it is a symbol of idolatry and the "mother of harlots" Are you shocked? I was when I studied what is behind its symbolism. Do a search for "statue of liberty, mother of harlots" and you will find something like this: "You probably didn't realize it but America is steeped in Idols! Yes and the Statue of Liberty is actually a replica of the Babylonian goddess Ishtar the Mother of Harlots and the goddess of Freedom/Liberty. This "artwork" was created by a Freemason who wanted to honor a Masonic doctrine that dates back to before Nimrod! The Statue of Liberty is another Brotherhood symbol highlighting the lighted torch. The Statue of Liberty is actually the Statue of Liberties - the liberties perpetrated on the American people by the Brotherhood. There she stands on her island in New York Harbor holding her torch of freedom and Americans believe she is the symbol of their liberty in the Land of the Free. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Statue of Liberty was given to New York by French Freemasons and her mirror image stands on an island in the River Seine in Paris. These statues of liberty are representations of Ishtar and Isis et al, with the rays of the Sun around her head. The ancients symbolized the Sun in this way. And they are not holding the torch of liberty, but the torch of the illuminated ones, the reptilian Elite. The Statue of Liberty is a Brotherhood symbol which says: We control this country and we are telling you so, but you are too blind to see it! " And eerily, to top it off, the city that is just outside of New York Harbor is called "New Babylon". Hence we have a symbol in the heart of the economic center of our culture that depicts our debauchery and how we began to slip into depravity soon after this statue was erected. But it is a even more of a symbol of our sexual sins that are displayed to the world and shapes the mind of the world through the display of lust of the flesh through the wholesale of unending pornography. Yes, America produces 65% of all the adult entertainment movies, books, and magazines that have flooded the entire world. The industry is a multi-billion dollar cash cow sold to the sexually promiscuous and deviates of the world through several generations. Our movie industry in Hollywood churns out ever more revealing and in the gutter movies depicting anything and everything evil...and the sad part of all that is most of Hollywood is owned by American Jews that came to this country and started producing movies that at first, had a patriotic theme, or a romantic theme, or maybe comedy that made a person forget their troubles for awhile, but no more. Whatever deviation of the natural scheme of men and women united in monogamous relationships, a place where you can see men cavorting with men, women with women doing what the bible calls an abomination. People having sex with animals, homosexuality being glorified, God being blasphemed at every turn, blood, sweat and gore, that is the American "entertainment" industry. No such thing as PG anymore, or if the rating is given, it's not really PG..it's just not as graphic as most, but I wouldn't let my kids see any of it. All this has done is breed violence, bloodshed, civil unrest, and sinful lifestyles that are being lifted up as normal and if you speak out against any of it, its hate speech. But Jesus warned that it would be as in the days of Noah or Sodom and Gomorrah when God destroyed one by water, and the other by fire and brimstone. SCRIPTURES TO DESCRIBE AMERICA IN THE LAST DAYS Jeremiah 51:53 "Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come unto her, saith the LORD." Here is what I believe Jeremiah is saying, that modern day Babylon would reach the heavens and her strength would be the exploration of space, or during the turn of the 20th century, the rapid growth of air travel by planes and jets. And to fortify our strength in the heavens, we have laser guided weapons floating about in space above our atmosphere. How would Jeremiah know that we would mount up into heaven as airplanes had not even been invented yet or how it would be defended? It was the only way it could be explained in his time. America has been the leader of air travel and space exploration in the past, and plans are on the drawing board for expeditions to ...wait for it....Mars and beyond. Like we can really afford such an endeavor, but hey, we're already in debt, what a little more on top of it? Jeremiah 51:13 "O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness." What other nation has been blessed with so many natural resources as this nation has? We are abundant in water and every sort of resource that a man can think of....you say "what about oil?" America is now the leading producer of shale oil and fracking for natural gas. We lead the world. But that train is about to come to a screeching halt. Read the news about the drought in California and raging wild fires where half of all our food is grown, or how about the floods that covered the Midwest for the grain belt for corn and wheat? We have polluted the land to such an extreme, that cancer cases are growing by leaps and bounds in all ages. So much so, that the earth is groaning from the sin soaked soil and is meting out natural and Divine disasters. Jeremiah 51:12 "Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon." God has warned us. Those who dwell in this land will meet some perilous times coming right over the horizon. I have written about economic collapse that is bound to happen, as the NYSE cannot ride on this 24,000+ bubble indefinitely. When this crash comes, and IT WILL COME, then your dollars will be worthless paper that are not worth what they are printed upon. I wrote of the "Year of the Shemitah, Economic Collapse" and I await its fulfillment. You can read about it on the blog, if you so choose and see what I mean. Isaiah 18:1 "Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia: 18:2 That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!" If ever a passage spoke of what the USA is, this passage does. In Isaiah's time, it was not conceived that there was a North American continent, so God had him write about land beyond the rivers of Ethiopia. To Isaiah, it was the ends of the earth. It speaks of a land shadowed with wings? What is our national symbol? Yes, the bald Eagle. On our money, on our national seals, the shadow of the wings of the great predatory bird, the bald Eagle is found with wings outstretched. We have brought messengers to the head of our government housed in one city. The United Nations is centered in New York and we have sent messengers of this end time body of nations that may be the source and power of a one world government to the ends of the earth. As you read the verse above, it describes the USA to a tee. What country is divided by natural boundaries and man-made borders of states that collectively are called the USA nation? Take a plane across this land and see how this nation was "meted out and trodden down" and whose rivers and lakes we have polluted to where the very survival of local residents are becoming in jeopardy. NATIONAL PRIDE BECOMES ARROGANCE, IT WILL BE ABASED Revelation 18:7 "How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her." In times past, the harlot of Revelation has been identified with the Roman Catholic Church, and yes, she has done some horrible things to countless individuals and saints down through the ages. I further believe that there will be a "unholy trinity" of the Beast power as a blending of the Harlot Woman of Revelation, the false prophet embodied by the Catholic Church and the spokesman being possibly this current Pope, pope Francis and finally, satan himself incarnate entering into the Anti-Christ. How arrogant we have become in our idolatry and pagan worship of the earth and everything that is an abomination to the God of Heaven. Isaiah 47:10 "For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me. 47:11 Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know." We can blame it on our past leader housed in the oval office and many do blame him and the legislature in Congress for being wolves in sheep's clothing, but if you point a finger at them, four come back to point at yourself. This nation elected all of them, either knowingly or covertly. Face it folks, in the past the black man that resided in the oval office WAS nothing but the face of our national character in the majority and its depravity. We should have kicked the bum out long ago by impeachment, but there he sat like he's an "American Pharaoh" and we just idly sit by and let him get away with it. Well, this party is about over and the piper must be paid...and the payment none of the citizens of these here United States are gonna like it....I firmly believe . You see all the evil and debauchery every night on your TV to the point, I don't even watch the news anymore, as it's worse every day. People killing one another with guns, knives, and whatever is handy. Race riots in the larger cities and some lunatic that tried to start a race war by shooting up a church full of black worshipers. How nuts was that? But Paul put it into words that "God is not mocked". Galatians chapter 6: 6:7 " Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." I don't see much sowing to the spirit, but only to the flesh. Judgment is coming and it will begin at the house of God. The only bright spot is have seen in the last few years, is our present administration that is "trying" to turn back the tide of the "Deep State" that only wishes to create a One World Government and a new world order. And our POTUS stands in their way, as I see this the reason they hate him so much. But no matter what our President tries to do, he is just a band-aid on a festering cancer that will eventually kill the victim. SPOILERS INTO THE LAND TO DESTROY In every case when you see a nation that goes the way America has gone, God either by divine intervention through natural disasters, or by using other nations to enact judgment, just as Israel was overthrown by Ancient Babylon, so America COULD be seeing the same happen to her. When I say overthrown, I mean our way of life we have known, the freedoms we have enjoyed, and the prosperity we have been blessed with . It could happen from without by an invading army, or from within by a dictatorship coming to power. If what I have written in the past, about the USA possibly being the Beast power of Revelation, and New York City being Babylon, then I can see the cancellation of our Constitution and the Bill of Rights and replaced by Marshal Law and a police state. Don't think for one minute, that if Obama had had the chance, or a "manufactured" chance to institute a dictatorship, that he wouldn't bat an eye before it would have been done for he was a puppet of the One World Government proponents. Oh, he tried his best to destroy as he said "this is the closest we have come to destroying the Republic"...America is just that, not a democracy, but a republic form of government and I believe the man is behind the scenes trying to finish what he started. Now some have written me and have postulated that the tribulation will start on such and such a date, and used numerology to support their theory and that Obama is the Anti-Christ. Some say that Jerusalem was to be overthrown July 4th, 2015 on the Jewish 9th of Av, which has always been a date of Israeli persecution in the past, but I can't and won't make predictions of when what I have laid out may happen, because the date has come and gone, and Israel stills stands. Only the God of Heaven knows, and He hasn't told me directly. Only by His Word can we interpret what I have written here. But know this one thing, we may see some terrible things come to pass in the near future, but the only thing that is holding back the Tribulation is the children of God, as the Church is still here. I am a avid proponent that the only thing that is holding back anyone, either Obama, Putin, the 12th Imam, or any other Anti-Christ,( I mean THE genuine AC in the flesh), is the Holy Spirit residing in every truly born again Christian who lives in this country we call the US of A. Remember what is holding it back? II Thessalonians chapter 2: 2:7 "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. (interpreted as the Holy Spirit) 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved." If America is to be the beast power, and I'm not sure she actually is, there are two possibilities for her when the Church is removed in the rapture...she will either be destroyed by invading armies, or possibly by the Yellowstone Volcano that scientist say is on the verge of erupting sometime in the future. Not if but when it will erupt it will destroy 90% of the population in one short year. Or the other scenario, is that when the church is removed, a lot of the leaders of this country and hundreds of thousands of men and women from all walks of life will suddenly disappear and chaos will be the order of the day. Whoever take the reins of power, may be, just may be the "man of sin" that brings order to the country and right now, the only nation that Israel trusts to support her, is the United States of America. Israel has been looking for a "political Messiah" to bring her peace and security and as the opening verse speaks of, this man will "confirm a covenant" with Israel that was in place, but never enforced. We see now that our present leader , POTUS Trump is putting together the "deal of the century" to bring peace between the Palestinians and the Israelis....is this the covenant that will be confirmed, as the rulers of Fatah and Hamas has expressly rejected any peace plan before they even see what it is about? Both terrorist groups proclaim they don't want a two state solution, but complete destruction of Israel. But after the coming Psalm 83 war, and Ezekiel 38-39 destroys much of Israel's enemies, there won't be any Arabs to be able to reject a "covenant that is confirmed" with the Anti-Christ. Could this "deal of the century" being put together to bolster peace in Israel be the same one that the AC confirms with Israel after Ezekiel's war? Obviously, there is a deal that is in place that has not been enforced, but now is confirmed with Israel to give them peace and security, although a false peace and a deal with the devil. THE ANTI-CHRIST COMES TO THE FOREFRONT You see whoever will fill that seat of the "man of sin" cannot do anything until God allows him to do so. They may take runs at it, they may try to usurp our freedoms of speech, assembly, gun ownership, or freedom of the press, but until God gives them the go ahead, they are beating a dead horse. That horse will stay dead until God says Satan has full sway over evil men that are left after the church is gone during the 7 years of the coming Tribulation. I mean gone, because if the Holy Spirit is withdrawn to Pre-Pentecostal times, God will not leave His chosen without comfort as Jesus promised us as much, and God cannot lie. The Holy Spirit will be withdrawn, but instantaneously, in the twinkling of an eye, so shall His saints be removed as well. 50 "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" (1st Corinthians 15:50-55) CONCLUSION IN closing, I don't see the end of days ruler-ship coming from Iraq, because it would take a long time for the earth dwellers to become rich over a center of trade found in Ancient Babylon rebuilt. I don't believe we have that kind of time. Also, New York is the one harbor large ships can come to dock with their goods, as Iraq doesn't have deep water ports for these large ships. Jesus is close, I know it, you know it, and the world senses something big....will the Tribulation start SOON, sooner than any of us think? I can only pray and hope, as that would mean that the church is out of here in a few short years...say, around the Feast of Trumpets as I have preached??? So come Lord Jesus. ARE YOU READY? So does any of this make any sense to you, dear reader? I could have gone much, much deeper, as I didn't even hit on Daniel..but space won't allow me. I did a study on the "Coming Beast Power" that is located on my blog that began this look into is America the coming Beast power and is New York the New Babylon. Review it and say to yourself, "is America the coming Beast Power and Mystery Babylon?" It's a choice that has to be considered, as Iraq and ancient Babylon does not fit, no matter how hard the "prophecy buffs" try to stuff that round peg into a square hole. So my question to you, my friend, are you ready? If this all comes to pass, and soon, will you be mocking and scoffing, or will your mouth fall on your chest in horror as the scream escapes your throat? Or will you be joining millions of others who have made Jesus Christ the Lord of their life, by faith believing who He said He was? If you have not made that decision for Jesus Christ, don't you think it's about time to quit fence sitting and gazing over at the other side of eternity wondering if this is all true? When it happens, then it will be too late for you not to experience all the horror that is THE TRIBULATION in earnest and God's righteous wrath and indignation. If you want to get a real taste of what the Tribulation will be like, read Revelation chapter 6 slowly and let the horror of that hour sink in. But there is a remedy for what you may feel as trepidation enters your mind and you are wondering these questions "will there be a Beast power and a Mystery Babylon spoken of in the Bible? Will God's wrath really fall on this earth" Yes, it's true, as the bible has been 100% correct to this day of our time, and as the Living God has said: Isaiah 46:9 "Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:" God has said it, it WILL be done, making the earth ready for the coming Kingdom of God, but not before He erases all trace of sin and rebellion from this earth in wrath and billions dies in the wake of His wrath. How do you not die in the Tribulation or face enduring God's Holy wrath of judgment? I spoke of a remedy, but really it's a gift of mercy and grace. Grab it with both hands while you can, by faith. Some scoff and call it our "escape hatch", but I call it "VICTORY in JESUS." The Holy Spirit will draw all who He will draw to the subject of the whole Word of the Holy Bible by using these words: John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17: God did not send His Son to condemn the world, but the world through Him, might be saved." then confess the Lord with your mouth...... 8 "But what saith it? The False Promise Of Peace With Arab Countries - By Edy Cohen - http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=2925 On Jan. 6, the Foreign Ministry released a statement in Arabic revealing that a number of delegations from Iraq had visited Israel, including influential Sunni and Shi'ite figures in the country, in 2018. The Foreign Ministry did not name names. The news made waves in Iraq after it was leaked to the press that some of the officials that took part in the delegation were sitting members of parliament. Many lawmakers, including the head of Iraq's parliament, demanded an investigative committee be established and officials who came into contact with the "Zionist entity" be punished to the full extent of the law. Everyone in the country was outspoken about their opposition to the normalization of ties with Israel--everyone that is, except for one former lawmaker. But we'll get to him later. A majority of Israelis would like to be at peace with our neighbors, but decades of experience have led us to seriously contemplate the concessions we are interested in making in return for a false peace. Peace with Egypt is very cold, and peace ties with Jordan are at a rough spot following Amman's refusal to renew part of the Hashemite kingdom's 1994 peace treaty with Israel that allows Israel to lease two small areas of land--Naharayim in the northern Jordan Valley and Ghamr in the south. It Is evident that our neighbors are only interested in making peace with us because they are in distress. They have learned how to acquire Israeli aid through empty promises of future peaceful relations. With the help of social-media networks and mass Syrian immigration to Europe, many Israelis have been able to communicate with members of Syria's opposition in recent years. These opposition members have expressed interest in making peace with Israel, after it helps bring down Syrian President Bashar Assad's regime. Well, Assad hasn't been removed from power, and there is no peace with Syria. Immediately after the fall of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, dozens of Iraqi parliamentarians arrived in Israel, a majority of them afraid to make their visit public. The most conspicuous of them was Parliament member Mithal al-Alusi, who did not fear public knowledge of his Israel visit. Israeli commentators saw his bold stance as proof the winds of peace were blowing from Baghdad. Except a short while later, he was kicked out of parliament and his two children were murdered. Al-Alusi was never again elected to parliament. He wasn't able to pass the electoral threshold. Iraq is a failed state. Despite being one of the richest countries when it comes to natural resources, it is unable to provide its residents with electricity and drinking water. Iraqis are sick of living such lives. They are sick of standing idly by as their oil and other natural treasures are stolen by Iran, which has controlled Iraq through Shi'ite militias ever since Saddam Hussein's fall from power. The Iraqis, who are interested in freeing themselves of the Iranians at any price, are now asking for Israel's military assistance in return for empty promises of peace. Unfortunately, Israel is allocating substantial resources towards this hopeless end. There are tens of thousands of Iraqi refugees in Europe who cannot return to their homeland. They hope that Israel will help remove the Iranians from Iraq, and promise us peace when they return home and take control of the government. And so, let us add Iraq to the list of Arab countries that seek Israeli aid in return for promises of a future peace and pay us the same kind of lip service we were paid by the opposition fighters in Syria. Peace with Iraq is light years away. In October 2017, the Iraqi parliament passed a law prohibiting the raising of the Israeli flag in the country and punishing violators with jail time. If we haven't learned from past experiences, let us at the very least read the present situation correctly. Anyone who is a public figure has to carefully choose every word that comes out of his or her mouth. My old congressman Steve King from Iowa learned of this danger when he openly questioned the meaning of the wrong phrases. "White nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization - how did that language become offensive?" he said. Within a few short days, King was labeled the "unapologetically racist" congressman, and he was stripped of all his House committee assignments by the Republican Party. He also received a formal rebuke from the full House in a vote that was 424-1, with only Democratic Illinois Rep. Bobby Rush voting no. Rush said he wanted to censure King instead - a stronger, but still largely symbolic, step. A couple of other examples of politicians getting into trouble came during the 2018 election. Senator Ron DeSantis said Florida voters shouldn't "monkey this up," and Republican Cindy Hyde-Smith said, "If he (a supporter) invited me to a public hanging, I'd be on the front row." The problem in both cases was that their opponents were black. I thought it was beyond stupidity for the press to suggest that DeSantis somehow called his political foe a monkey, and Hyde-Smith was wanting to introduce racial hanging into the election. Democrats have no need to walk on eggshells when it comes to using the wrong dog-whistle words. Former Vice President Joe Biden has a long history of major racial gaffes. He once praised President Obama for his cleanliness. "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," Biden said. Biden has made other questionable comments. In a June 2006 appearance in New Hampshire, the senator commented on the growth of the Indian-American population in Delaware by saying, "You cannot go into a 7-11 or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. Oh, I'm not joking." Since Biden is the current frontrunner for the 2020 Democratic Primary, I'm looking forward for Joe to add to his record. The reality of living in one of the most racially charged times in American history is that we have vast numbers of people absolutely fixated on finding even the slightest manifestation of discrimination. The news coverage of the stare-down between a Covington High School student and a Native American is a perfect example of this insanity. The incident took place after a pro-life march on the National Mall. The Catholic students were waiting for their bus, and they were being provoked by slurs from Black Hebrew Israelites, whose role in the confrontation wasn't apparent in the viral footage. The snapshot of Nicholas Sandmann with a smirk on his face and a "Make America Great Again" cap on his head was the product of selective editing. A longer view of the event shows that the Covington High School students had not acted in any harassing manner. Several twitter personalities took the bait and attacked the students over their "racism." University of Pennsylvania's Ebony Elizabeth Thomas said "the smiling face of Whiteness" is one that "always hides a knife behind its back." A writer for Saturday Night Live promised oral sex to anyone who punched Sandmann in the face. According to the Washington, D.C., statute against disorderly conduct, these Black Hebrew Israelites were breaking the law by verbally attacking the boys in a public place. Because they are members of a protected class, they have nothing to fear from the police. Some networks tried to back away from the label of Fake News by showing the full footage. Many networks decided the best defense is to simply press ahead with their false narrative. NBC's Savannah Guthrie asked Nick Sandmann for his guilt, "Do you feel from this experience that you owe anybody an apology? Do you see your own fault in any way?" Sandmann should have turned the question around and asked Guthrie if she should be the one offering an apology. The constant labeling of President Trump as a racist is a troubling indication of the madness that is overtaking our nation. House Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries referred to him as "the grand wizard of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue" because he uses "racially insensitive remarks." When you have people endlessly meditating on fantasy racial injustice, the end result will be total moral depravity. People like Jeffries will become so convinced of their own purity, they will be willing to kill to prove their earthly virtue. "To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled. They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed" (Titus 1:15-16). There are several prophetic aspects in play. With Syria being a vassal state of Iran, two named end time agents are under the influence of events that impact nearby Israel. Add in Turkey, who wishes to emerge as the Islamic leader in the Middle East, and we have yet another player in end time prophecy. Russia is also a power broker as an ally with Iran, Syria and Turkey. Agents of each-Hamas, Hezbollah, and to whatever extent it remains, ISIS-are anti-Israel terrorist groups also adding to the mix. Now, Iran is beginning to rattle the swords of war. We now have modern nations aligning with those of ancient prophecy. According to ASHARQ Al-AWSAT, an Arab world news site, Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri announced Sunday that Iran will change its military strategy to "offensive" from "defensive" to defend its national interests. This means that Iran will act offensively to defend Syria against Israel using such things as preemptive strikes and other military actions that Iran regards as a threat. This offensive strategy also could apply to Turkey, if that country moves against the Kurds in what is now a "safe zone" in Syrian territory. The stirrings here are made very interesting by the Isaiah 17:1 prophecy that "Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap." The Times of Israel adds another piece to the end time puzzle being assembled before our very eyes, reporting, "The deputy head of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said Monday that Tehran's strategy was to eventually wipe Israel off the "global political map." Asked by a reporter in Tehran about Israeli threats to strike Iranian forces deployed in Syria, Brig. Gen. Hossein Salami was quoted by Iranian news outlets as saying, "Our strategy is to erase Israel from the global political map. And it seems that, considering the evil that Israel is doing, it is bringing itself closer to that... We announce that if Israel does anything to start a new war, it will obviously be the war that will end with its elimination, and the occupied territories will be returned. The Israelis will not have even a cemetery in Palestine to bury their own corpses."" We know that Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38 (which says Gog of Magog (in Turkey) will lead a coalition of forces against Israel "in that day") are end time prophecies by the context of the preceding chapters and those after them. There are many details that must fall in place, not the least of which the Beast (Gog/Assyrian/antichrist) will be revealed before the Day of the Lord occurs. Notwithstanding, this situation in Syria is progressing the dynamics of prophecy and bears watching. We are so caught up with the politics in the United States, that we may be missing key elements of these end time prophecies falling into place. Christ enumerates the chronological order of the end times in Matthew 24. He said there will be wars and rumors of wars. We are not there yet, but the prophetic war drums are sounding in the distance. Sometimes the house was for a young couple getting their first home, and sometimes it was for a retired couple looking for somewhere new. Joanna, the designer, came up with amazing plans, and her husband, Chip, the builder, implemented them. When they were finished, it was hard to believe that it was the same house. Have you ever wished you could start over again, maybe in your marriage . . . maybe in your relationship with your children . . . maybe with friends? In a way you can, because 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new" (NKJV). As the J.B. Phillips translation puts it, "For if a man is in Christ he becomes a new person altogether-the past is finished and gone, everything has become fresh and new." God can do that for your life. You say, "It's messed up. It's broken down. It's falling apart." It can become new and fresh in Jesus Christ. It tells us in 1 John 1:7, "But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin" (NKJV). Notice it says all sin-not just some sin. You, too, can have a new beginning. It can start now. It doesn't matter what time of the year it is. It can all change because of the blood of Jesus Christ. You don't have to be crippled by your past anymore. You can put it behind you.
