According to the Book of Genesis, there was an antediluvian (pre-Flood) race of beings that existed on the earth that the KJV calls 'giants' that the Hebrew sages dubbed "the Nephilim". The Nephilim were the children born to the daughters of men and the "sons of God." As to the identity of the 'sons of God' -- if you ask four Christian theologians that question you'll get five different answers. (And about the only thing they'll agree on is that the other three guys are wrong). Instead of filling in the blanks on stuff we don't know with stuff we guess about, let's tick off the things we DO know about the players involved. The sons of God are clearly distinguished from the daughters of men, raising two possible conclusions. The first is that the 'sons of God' were simply good and righteous men so labeled to distinguish them from the earthy, less righteous among them. That doesn't seem to make much sense, given that God singled out Noah -- specifically because of his righteousness -- yet Genesis didn't label him a 'son of God.' Only six verses after singling out the 'sons of God' for special mention, Genesis says simply that Noah "found grace in the eyes of the Lord" because he was "a just man and perfect in his generations." If being righteous justified the label, 'sons of God' then Noah certainly would seem to qualify. Focus instead on the phrase, 'perfect in his generations'. Noah was a 'just' man, not a perfect one. But in his 'generations' -- his genealogy -- he was 'perfect' ie., untainted. Untainted by what? The phrase "sons of God" used in Genesis 6 is "bene elohim", which used apparently only three other times in Scripture and in each of the other cases it is found in the book of Job which is accepted as one of the most ancient books written. Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7. "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them." "Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD." "When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?" In each of these examples, the "sons of God" were the angels.. The only logical conclusion is that the 'sons of God' were not righteous men, or even men at all. And their offspring, the 'giants' or Nephilim were a hybrid race formed out of two distinct but sexually compatible beings. Assessment: "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." (Matthew 24:37) "They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. " (Luke 17:27) To get a look at that distant, future, generation who would witness the return of Christ, Jesus tells us to look to that distant, past generation that experienced the judgment of the Great Flood. "Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all." (Luke 17:29) Let's connect some more dots. Genesis Chapter 6 describes the most direct and unfettered contact between human beings in general and the spirit world recorded in the entire Bible -- other than the Book of the Revelation's description of the Tribulation Period. Additionally, Genesis tells us that "God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." It can be argued that television is imagination in a box. There, we vicariously live out all our dreams and fantasies. Somewhere on the cable dial, there is something for the imagination of everybody's heart. . So take a look at what is the imagination of the thoughts of THIS generation's heart. It won't take long. Pick up your remote and scroll through the cable listings. (I'll wait.) Popular culture today is full of the use of spirit guides, alien encounters, and open satanic worship. A similar, but seldom-noted parallel between the unholy offspring of Genesis 6 and this generation is DNA and cloning research. In Genesis chapter 2, God promises a Redeemer who would be of the 'seed of a woman'. Satan therefore set out to pollute the human bloodline to prevent this prophecy from being fulfilled. The corruption of the human race was the main reason for the Flood. And we are in the process of corrupting it again -- as it was in the days of Noah. The term 'strange flesh' means to go after an unnatural sexual union. In any case, the parallel between Sodom and this generation's moral code is self-evident. Jesus uses the story of the evacuation of Lot's family before judging Sodom and Gomorrah to illustrate the Rapture of the Church -- before the judgment of the Tribulation Period. "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts. And saying, Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. " (2 Peter 3:2-3) I love this argument for its utter stupidity. The Lord hasn't come back, which somehow proves He won't come back. Peter doesn't call it 'stupid', he calls it 'willing ignorance' but it means the same thing. "For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished." About the only thing in modern culture that raises eyebrows is Biblical Christianity. While other Christians scoff, or argue that the Church has replaced Israel in God's Plan, that they've been hearing 'for ages' that the Lord is coming back, or that prophecy was all fulfilled back in AD 70, keep this thought in mind. God has chosen a few out of this generation to be the watchmen on the wall. Most churches have their 'prophecy nuts'. Recognize what that term really describes. It describes a relative handful of Christians -- out of this vast, unique generation -- who have been specifically and directly chosen by God to give the warning of His soon return. And out of all the generations of Christians -- from the Resurrection of Christ and down through the centuries -- out of all the nations on all the continents, right down to all the people in your church, He chose . . . you. "Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. " (2nd Peter 3:17-18) Wow.

Terror group has rehabilitated network of cross-border tunnels, missile arsenal, Israeli defense sources say The military capabilities of Hamas in Gaza have reportedly been restored to their strength pre-2014, when the Islamist terror group fought a war with Israel that depleted much of its arsenal and battered much of its military infrastructure. Senior military and defense officials said Hamas's network of cross-border tunnels and its missile arsenal have been fully restored, Israel's Channel 2 news reported. The report caps two years in which Hamas, the de facto ruling power in Gaza, sought to rebuild its military capabilities, including thousands of missiles, small arms, and a network of tunnels, many of which crossed into Israel. Israel and Hamas have fought three wars since 2008. Gaza is subject to an Israeli-Egyptian blockade in an effort to prevent Hamas, which avowedly seeks Israel's destruction, from importing weaponry and restoring its military infrastructure. During the 2014 war, dubbed Operation Protective Edge, cross-border tunnels were a key weapon for Hamas, allowing its fighters to infiltrate Israeli territory and launch attacks against Israeli soldiers. Israel destroyed about a third of its tunnels in the 2014 fighting. According to the report on Tuesday, much of Hamas's arsenal was restored using makeshift materials already found in the Strip, but Israeli officials fear detente between Hamas and Egypt could lead to the opening of the Rafah border crossing and the possible import of materials that can build up its capabilities further. Hamas on Tuesday displayed its military hardware at a memorial rally held in honor of a Hamas drone expert assassinated in Tunisia last month. The spokesman of Hamas's military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, told fighters at the rally that the upcoming release of an Israeli government report on the alleged mishandling of the 2014 conflict proved that Hamas won the war. "This proves the the great loss and failure of the Zionist enemy," Abu Ubaida said, according to Channel 2. "The report proves that Hamas won protective edge," he said. "In the near future, there will be more evidence of the extent of the failure." Abu Ubaida also said that Israel would suffer consequences for the assassination of key Hamas weapons builder Mohamed Zouari, a 49-year-old Tunisian engineer and drone expert, who was killed at the wheel of his car outside his house in Tunisia in December 2016. Israel has made no official comment on Zouari's death. "The Zionist enemy will pay the price for the assassination, the score is still open." Earlier this week, a Knesset subcommittee unanimously approved releasing to the public parts of a biting comptroller's report into how the security cabinet of top-level ministers handled itself during the 2014 war. State Comptroller Yosef Shapira will make the final decision on when the document will be released, though he is expected to make it available to the public in the next two weeks. When it is eventually released, the document will give Israelis a rare look at the discussions of one of the most powerful and secretive state institutions, the powerful ten-member committee of ministers that oversees national security and foreign policy. The report of the ministers' handling of the 2014 conflict is said to show bitter infighting among members of the security cabinet, especially between then-defense minister Moshe Ya'alon and then-economy minister Naftali Bennett. Coalition officials, particularly those close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, fought against releasing the report. The report finds that despite Netanyahu's claims to the contrary, he and Ya'alon did not properly inform the security cabinet of the extent of the threat emanating from Hamas's cross-border tunnels, Channel 2 reported in November. 
Russia freezes Syrian, Iranian military movements -

Alexander Zhuravlev to the high commands of the Syrian army and of the Iranian and Shiite forces positioned in Aleppo, as well as Hezbollah units in all parts of Syria. Gen. Zhuravlev, acting on instructions from Moscow, prohibited any movement by those forces out of their current positions as of noon local time. debkafile's military and intelligence sources report that the order banned the opening of new battlefronts anywhere in Syria and the movement of Syrian air force units between bases. This order has been obeyed to date. The ban came from Moscow to prevent military reprisals against the Putin-Trump deal for Syria. There was no mention of penalties for disobedience, but the tone was peremptory. The three army commanders did not need reminding that the Russians are capable of using their electronic warfare systems to disrupt unauthorized military movements, jam their communications, and withhold fuel, ammo and spare parts to create havoc in their armies. Moscow has never resorted to extreme action of this kind in previous Russian military interventions in Middle East lands. The decision was taken shortly after the Kremlin was notified that US President Donald Trump had agreed to join forces with President Vladimir Putin in Syria. Since then, the Trump administration has kept all dealings with Moscow over Syria under a cloak of secrecy, including the outcome of President Trump's first phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. All other concerned parties, such as Israel, have been left groping in the dark about what happens next. The Russian standstill order in Syria came shortly before the US presidential decree that barred Iranians from entering the United States (along with the nationals of six other terror-prone Muslim countries) Iran can no longer doubt that the two powers, America and Russia, have ganged up to push the Islamic Republic out of their way. Trepidation in Tehran was articulated on Monday, Jan. 30, at a convention staged in the Iranian capital to celebrate 515 years of Iranian-Russian relations, an anniversary that would not normally be marked by a special event. In his opening remarks, Foreign Minster Mohammed Zarif Javad said: that Iran and Russia "need to have far more extensive relations," and "few countries in the world have relations as deep and historical as Iran and Russia." This sounded like an appeal to Moscow for protection against the new US president. It most likely fell on deaf ears. Putin is fully engaged in promoting his new relations with Donald Trump. 
Rare Red Heifer Eligible for Third Temple Offering Found, And You Won't Believe Where - By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz -

Numbers 19:2 (The Israel Bible™) A rabbi in a remote region of Mexico he went to a dairy farm to purchase milk, and was shocked when he saw a vital element of the Third Temple right in front of his eyes: a red heifer calmly chewing its cud under the Baja sun. "I've grown up with the stories, so I know how rare and valuable the red heifer is," Rabbi Benny "Bentsion" Hershcovich told Breaking Israel News. "I've never seen a red heifer and I never expected to see one. My heart literally jumped when I saw it." The red heifer, one of the most perplexing Torah commandments, is a necessary element for purifying Jews in order to enable them to do the service in the Temple. And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of B'nei Yisrael for a water of sprinkling; it is a purification from sin. Numbers 19:9 Over the course of the approximately one thousand years the First and Second Temple stood, only nine Red Heifers were used in preparing the waters used to purify Jews. According to Jewish tradition, the tenth one will be used by the Messiah. Rabbi Hershcovich is the emissary to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for Chabad, a branch of Hasidic Judaism which emphasizes the role of the Messiah. He works hard to serve the spiritual needs of the small Jewish community in Baja, but adhering to the extra-stringent Chabad customs regarding the preparation of food presents a challenge in the exotic locale. "Even though we are in this far-flung region, we decided not to compromise on any of the kosher standards we held in Brooklyn," Rabbi Hershcovich explained to Breaking Israel News. This adherence to ritual led him to a remarkable discovery illustrating that the Third Temple is very close indeed. Rabbi Hershcovich's kosher stringencies require that he personally oversee the milking for making his own dairy products. While visiting a Mexican farm, the rabbi looked up from the milking and was shocked to see a distinctively colored cow wandering among the herd: one which appeared completely red, without a blemish or spot. Rabbi Hershcovich asked the farmer about the calf. The perplexed Mexican farmer explained that it had been born several months earlier, and that while the color was odd, he considered it to be "just another cow". The farmer had never heard of the Biblical commandment and did not understand why the rabbi was so excited. Though familiar with the concept of the red heifer - or para adumah in Hebrew - Rabbi Hershcovich felt unqualified to determine whether this particular cow fulfilled the Torah requirements. The laws pertaining to the red heifer are complex and a tiny blemish or a hair of the wrong color can render the cow unfit. This is the statute of the law which Hashem hath commanded, saying: Speak unto B'nei Yisrael, that they bring thee a red heifer, faultless, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke. Numbers 19:2 "Regardless of its status, just seeing something that was an integral part of the Temple and Jewish history, was really magnificent," the rabbi said. "I was mesmerized by this simple cow." A very few candidates for the red heifer have been found. Most have been disqualified due to blemishes or pregnancies. In an effort to reinstate the mitzvah (Torah commandment) of purifying with the red heifer's ashes, the Temple Institute in Jerusalem last year imported embryos of red angus, a distinctly red breed of cow, and implanted them in Israeli cows at a farm in the Negev. Though several male cows were born, no reports of pure red heifers have been forthcoming. Though it is unlikely the Baja bovine will become part of the Jewish Third Temple service, the random encounter had deeply spiritual meaning for Rabbi Hershcovich. "It's part of who we are and represents an important part of our future. Seeing it shows that our hope can be realized," Rabbi Hershcovich said. "We always wonder if something we read in the news is the thing that will bring Moshiach. Seeing this red heifer in front of my eyes shows that it can indeed happen at any moment, in any location."

A Fox News person-can't remember who-reported that Paul Anka, writer of the song "My Way" had withdrawn from performing at one or another of the events scheduled during the inaugural festivities. Anka reportedly said the inauguration gig conflicted with his schedule. He thus joined a long list of celebrities and performers who said they would not be a part of the Trump victory celebration. CNN, it was reported, gave a news flash that Nancy Sinatra, daughter of the late crooner Frank Sinatra, was furious that Mr. Trump would use the song "My Way" in the presidential celebration. She was, it was reported, incensed because it was the song her father made famous by recording it. Ms. Sinatra, however, it became clear, was incensed not at Mr. Trump, but at CNN for what has become known as a fake news story. She reportedly was angry because the story was not true and she was said to have responded, "It's not true. Why should I care? Why would they (CNN) lie about this?" That's a question many voters asked themselves before the vote by the electorate was cast in this presidential election. The diatribes by mainstream news hounds, favoring one candidate over the other, included lying the likes of which has rarely if ever reached the level it did in this election cycle. The song "My Way" and the lies surrounding it serve to open the way for me to issue this warning to our new president, as suggested by the commentary's title. I'll say this at the outset. I can't help but like the song. I've always-Lord, help me-liked it, particularly the way ol' Elvis sang it. However, it is one of the most anti-God songs ever created. It is straight from the mind of the old serpent himself, I have no doubt. That's why it is so appealing to the human mind and why even believers such as myself-weak in many ways because of the fallen nature of man-can't help but like the song. "My Way" tells the story of how the person singing it lived totally on his or her own terms. These didn't listen to or bow the knee to anyone. They did it all-their way. It's not just a matter that the song is one of boasting about how great one is; it is a repudiation of God Himself. That might not have been Mr. Anka's thought in writing it, but if you study the words, it is hubris that reflects Lucifer's own words in Isaiah 14:14. Getting back to our new president and his choosing the song for inclusion in his celebratory festivities, such hubris is likely, one hopes, not Mr. Trump's own attitude. We should prayerfully hope-and believe-that he doesn't-by making this song a part of his celebration-harbor the thought that he is now president only because of his own greatness and ability. We have heard him state his thanks to so many-to the whole national voting public that cast their votes for him, in fact. I have heard him say that God is the one who made America "great" in the first place, and will do so again. Still, I'm concerned when I know he-like myself-can't help but like this song. It appeals to the pride that can so easily swell within each human being. The Lord tells us in His Word that he hates "a proud look" (Proverbs 6: 17). He further says "he that hath a high look and a proud heart will I not suffer" (Psalm 101:5). And, again, "An high look and a proud heart...is sin" (Proverbs 21:4). God tells the end of all such pride in one's self ability. "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall" (Proverbs 16:18). Being blind, I, of course, couldn't see any of the presidential ball festivities. I did hear them, and the song "My Way" seemed to be the central theme song at each of the three. Again, I couldn't see it, but was told that at one point the new president, while dancing with the new first lady, looked into a nearby camera and mouthed the words, "I did it my way." So, it is hearsay, not a firsthand account. Perhaps some of the readers of this commentary witnessed this silent comment by the president. I was a supporter of Donald Trump and continue to be so as he promises to move America forward and lead us out of the slide into the abyss into which we are headed. Mr. Trump is often audacious and outspoken, and to be frank, it is one of the traits that endeared him to many-myself included-that is, to the extent that I like his pushing back against the pay-no-attention-to-the-American-people arrogance of Washington D.C. insiders and mainstream media types. That said, I must issue this warning, Mr. President. You, I, and America must do it "God's way," not "My way," as Mr. Anka, Mr. Sinatra, or even ol' Elvis would have it. Our very national existence depends upon this truth. 
My Review of "Rapture Ready...Or Not?" Over the last 35 years, I have literally read hundreds of books on Bible Prophecy and End Time signs. I especially enjoy books on the Rapture, and I have read almost every Rapture-related book published. In all those years, devouring thousands of pages, and millions of words, I have not read a better book on the Rapture than, Rapture Ready...Or Not? Terry James might be physically blind, but he is spiritually sharp and well discerning beyond most authors. In "Rapture Ready...Or Not?" Terry has nailed the pre-trib Rapture, and removed any doubt what so ever about the Church going through the Tribulation. With great insight and Godly discernment, Terry explains with simple, yet profound words, why and how that he has come to believe the ways he does about the Rapture, the Tribulation, and the End Times scenario. In the most far-reaching move toward a cashless society to date, the European Commission proposed enforcing "restrictions on payments in cash" under an all-too-familiar premise -- because terrorism. "Payments in cash are widely used in the financing of terrorist activities," the Commission's proposal states. "In this context, the relevance of potential upper limits to cash payments could also be explored. Several Member States have in place prohibitions for cash payments above a specific threshold." On the heels of the European Central Bank's discontinuation of the ¬500 note, the Commission's plan would drastically scale back civilians' ability to conduct transactions using currency -- and, by default, will allow banks and the State further means to track individuals via bank cards. According to the Commission's Inception Impact Assessment, Cash has the important feature of offering anonymity to transactions. Such anonymity may be desired for legitimate reason (e.g. protection of privacy). But, such anonymity can also be misused for money laundering and terrorist financing purposes. The possibility to conduct large cash payments facilitates money laundering and terrorist financing activities because of the difficulty to control cash payment transactions. In other words, because criminals and terrorists use paper currency, the ability for law-abiding citizens to conduct anonymous transactions with cash must be curtailed. For any number of reasons -- not the least of which is the laughable presumption terrorists would just walk into a store and purchase big ticket tools of the trade -- this assessment fails the sniff test. In actuality, moving away from the use of physical currency constitutes a veritable jackpot for the West's Surveillance State, and presents myriad possibilities for abuse by the European Commission and member governments. How long will it be, after all, before such restrictions extend to transactions of lesser sums? "Potential restrictions to cash payments would be a means to fight criminal activities entailing large payment transactions in cash by organised criminal networks," the plan states. "Restricting large payments in cash, in addition to cash declarations and other AML obligations, would hamper the operation of terrorist networks, and other criminal activities, i.e. have a preventive effect. It would also facilitate further investigations to track financial transactions in the course of terrorist activities." Notably, though the proposal repeatedly proffers the preventive effect made possible through prohibitions on large cash transactions, evidence supporting that theory is glaringly absent. It continues: Effective investigations are hindered as cash payments transactions are anonymous. Thus restrictions on cash payments would facilitate investigations. However, as cash transactions are moved to the financial system, it is essential that financial institutions have adequate controls and procedures in place that enable them to know the person with whom they are dealing. Adequate due diligence on new and existing customers is a key part of these controls in, line with the AMLD [Anti-Money Laundering Directive]. Terrorists use cash to sustain their illegal activities, not only for illegal transactions (e.g. the acquisition of explosives) but also for payments which are in appearance legal (e.g. transactions for accommodation or transport). While a restriction on payments in cash would certainly be ignored for transactions that are in any case already illegal, the restriction could create a significant hindrance to the conduct of transactions that are ancillary to terrorist activities. The Commission's own language evinces a degree of doubt as to whether such a plan would work, saying only "the restriction could create a significant hindrance" to terrorist operations. Indeed, as pointed out by Sovereign Man's, Simon Black, restricting large-sum cash dealings might have the opposite effect on crime: If you examine countries with very low denominations of cash, the opposite holds true: crime rates, and in particular organized crime rates, are extremely high. Consider Venezuela, Nigeria, Brazil, South Africa, etc. Organized crime is prevalent. Yet each of these has a currency whose maximum denomination is less than $30. The same trend holds true when looking at corruption and tax evasion. Yet the European Commission still asserts, "Organised crime and terrorism financing rely on cash for payments for carrying out their illegal activities and benefitting from them. By restricting the possibilities to use cash, the proposal would contribute to disrupt the financing of terrorism, as the need to use non anonymous means of payment would either deter the activity or contribute to its easier detection and investigation." Perhaps the most astonishing and erroneous assumption in the plan is that terrorists and criminals will suddenly abide the law -- as if malicious groups would surmise, 'Well, large cash transactions aren't possible, so I guess we'll have to find another line of work.' Black presents several examples of countries who have taken the leap away from paper currency only to be hit with soaring crime rates. In short, banning or severely limiting paper currency is ineffective at what governments claim such programs are intended to do, as Black continues, Bottom line, the political and financial establishments want you to willingly get on board with the idea of abolishing, or at least reducing, cash... Simply put, the data doesn't support their assertion. It's just another hoax that will give them more power at the expense of your privacy and freedom. Freedom to spend, as one desires, on what one chooses comprises such a basic right, governments have had to propagate a massive campaign to conflate physical money with the criminal element -- because the reality is, everyone uses paper currency -- even if the Commission disagrees: While being allowed to pay in cash does not constitute a fundamental right, the objective of the initiative, which is to prevent the anonymity that cash payments allow, might be viewed as an infringement of the right to privacy enshrined in Article 7 of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights [...] It should also be observed that national restrictions to cash payments were never successfully challenged based on an infringement to fundamental rights. It might seem convenient to gradually abolish paper currency in favor of, for instance, a bank or other card for all transactions, but the brutal truth of a cashless society is the heaviest hand of the State in our private lives.

An unindicted co-conspirator in the Holyland terrorist money laundering scheme and a designate terrorist group by the United Arab Emirates is filing a Constitutional challenge to President Donald Trump's temporary US entry ban on people from Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, Libya, and Sudan without "extreme vetting," and banning refugees from these countries for at least 30 days. The Council on American Islamic Relations says the ban is targeting people of the Islamic faith from Muslim-majority countries. CAIR national litigation director Lena F. Masri says there is no evidence that refugees "are a threat to national security" and that the order is "based on bigotry, not reality." The ACLU is also enjoined. The group reportedly is instigating #Muslimban protests at major US airports in San Francisco, Dallas, New York, Washington DC, Chicago and other cities. Breitbart reports: "On Saturday, protests broke out at airports around the country, including New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport. Saturday morning, two Iraqis were detained at JFK. CAIR chapters were actively promoting the protests on social media and acting as spokesmen for the issue." Time Magazine concurred: "The demonstration, led by the New York Chapter of the Center for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) was hastily organized in response to Trump's executive orders restricting immigration from Muslim countries and efforts to curb undocumented immigration within the US." These organizations were also sponsors of the Women's March on Washington, DC after the inauguration. They are distinctly anti-American and seek to replace the US government with a Marxist or Marxist Islamic governance. This has been specifically stated by officers of CAIR. And the Marxist philosophy of the ACLU is well known. They are trying to twist the narrative of national security into a civil disruption based on bigotry, hatred, and racism. In reality, Trump's actions are to allow proper vetting of refugees, to prevent illegal entry and terrorism. This is not a ban on Muslims entering the US, but rather a temporary ban on people entering the US from certain countries until they are properly vetted. President Trump's and the American people's quest to restore law and order and personal and national security is being met with stiff resistance from those who seek lawlessness to their own ends. This is not about religious freedom or any kind of hate "isms", it's about doing whatever they can to destroy our nation and doing it in the name of justice. As Habakkuk 1:4 says, "Therefore the law is slacked, and justice does never go forth: for the wicked does surround the righteous; therefore perverse judgment proceeds." Trump and the American people must stand up to this as is found in Amos 5:15, "Hate the evil, and love the good and establish judgment in the gate." In doing so, anger will arise among the evil.

Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him. -Luke 15:20 Even when raised in godly homes, kids sometimes rebel. Sometimes children go astray-and parents feel like they somehow failed. My own sons had prodigal times in their lives. Both strayed from their faith for a time. But we never gave up on them. And both of them came back to Christ. Jesus told a story of a prodigal son. There was a dad who had two sons. The youngest son came to him and asked for his portion of the inheritance. It wasn't long until that boy had blown the family fortune on prostitutes, drunkenness, and all kinds of things. One day, the son-starving to death, miserable, and broke-makes his way home. Jesus says the father saw the son and began to run toward him and threw his arms around him, saying, "This my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found" (see Luke 15:11-24). Here is the point I want to bring up: this boy was raised in a loving home but he still rebelled. This can happen. If you have a child that goes prodigal, stay true to your beliefs. Hold your course. When my son Christopher was in his prodigal phase, he always knew I cared. I kept communication open even if he didn't communicate with me. He always knew I loved him. Maybe it is a hard day for you today. Maybe you haven't heard from your kids lately. Maybe you haven't talked to them for a while. They don't call. They don't want your faith and they don't want your life. But don't give up-we should never give up on our kids. Keep praying. Listen to this: your children can escape your presence but they can never escape your prayers. Keep praying for them.
