Cauldron of Chaos - By Matt Leasher - http://www.raptureready.com/2017/02/02/cauldron-of-chaos-by-matt-leasher/
Ever since the fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden, Satan has been influencing people and nations with various forms of deception. Many times people think they are doing good, when in fact they are serving evil. We live in a world of chaos and that chaos has shifted into high gear in the last few weeks. I chose the word "cauldron" as an analogous replacement for the word "world" because of its secondary meaning: "Cauldron: a situation characterized by instability and strong emotions." That definition certainly describes the nature of the chaotic events that are transpiring in our world right now. In the past two weeks we have seen people protesting in the streets all over the world with emotions running high on both sides of the fence. One of the biggest common denominators in all of these protests is the presence of humanistic personal agendas and rebellion against God and His moral precepts. "For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God." (Luke 16:15b) All of these immoral protests began the very moment that the Trump administration took office on January 20th. The majority of the protestors were advocates of abortion, same sex marriage, women's rights and Satan worshippers. All anyone has to do is Google images of these protests and they will see the most vile abuse of freedom of speech that this country has ever seen. When our founding fathers adopted the First Amendment, abortion and same sex marriage were not even a thought. I'm sure their intentions were to uphold righteousness in the eyes of the Creator and the biblical morals our blessed country was founded on. While it's true that we live in a free country where anyone can march for whatever cause they choose, every single person is still accountable to a Holy God and will have to give an account of "every idle word that came out of their mouths" (see Matthew 12:36). Throughout the last few decades our nation has progressively waxed more and more immoral in every aspect of daily life and stirring up chaos in the most foundational areas of our society. The LGBT agenda is being pushed in our elementary schools and as of last year a after school Satanist program has even slithered into the halls of our children's schools! This chaos is escalating at such a rapid rate that even as I write this I have just found out that the Boy Scouts of America is now going to allow transgender boys to join the organization, reversing a century old stance of it being strictly "boys!" All of this because of one transgender from New Jersey that had joined without telling them that he was a she, so they threw her out. Now after consideration they are going to allow kids in with whatever gender that they identify themselves as. Now what if that person decides they want to return to a "she"? How confusing that will be to the other boys in the troop! While unbelievers shake their heads and wonder what is going on, those of us that are born-again Christians and see the world through the lens of the Holy Spirit know exactly what is happening. The Bible tells us that in the last days "evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." (2 Timothy 3:13) Satan has used the liberalism of our country to deceive and blind the minds of unbelievers and since the Bible was removed from our public schools four decades ago, we now live in a predominant society of unbelievers that were brought up being taught what the public school system considers "moral." That generation is now marching and protesting for things that God opposes and considers an abomination and they are sadly marching themselves right into eternal damnation. "But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them." (2 Corinthians 4:3-4) The Bible informs us that the "god of this age" is Satan, the father of lies (John 8:44) and the great deceiver of the whole world (Revelation 12:9). Satan has no sympathy for God's creation. He hates every one of us and yet the streets have recently been filled with hordes that choose to follow him! Why would anyone want to follow someone that hates them, and whose end is destruction? "The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever." (Revelation 20:10) While not all of the protestors were Satanist, many are following him and don't even know it. I saw one woman holding a sign that said, "God is with us, and she is mad!" "She" is mad? Not only is this woman deceived as to who the Creator really is, but she clearly has never read the Bible which distinctly confirms all three Persons of the One Triune God as being masculine. This does not mean that our Lord is a male chauvinist but rather that God created an order to His creation for God does all things "decently and in order" (1 Corinthians 14:40). He has ordained the woman to be submitted to their husbands and the husbands to be submitted to the Lord (Ephesians 5:22-25). If God did not have a chain of command in society, we would have chaos. When this biblical precept is followed with loving leadership and not prideful lordship, the result is a happy home. The women's rights movement of the 1970s resulted in a record number of broken families and divorces because the biblical order of how a family should be structured was overruled by self-centered humanistic pride. Today, the women's rights movement is now tearing apart our society as Satan continues to instill pride in his cauldron of deception. The deception of pride is never more evident in our society than with the LGBT community, (now considered to be LGBTQ which stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer). Pretty soon they are going to run out of letters in the alphabet to abbreviate all of their identities. These individuals have imposed their filthy lifestyles into the mainstream of our society at every chance they get causing chaos and confusion among our children to the point where many of them not only question their own gender but dictate which gender that they prefer to be! This is Satanic! All one has to do is look at the image of Baphomet, that Satan worshippers use, and one will see that this demonic image is transgender. Those that advocate transgenderism are demonically influenced as this clearly goes against the natural order of creation and is an abomination to God. Satan worshippers will say that the Baphomet image expresses equal duality, however, this is nothing but another deceptive trap from Satan himself. Satan offers them a lie in the name of "equal duality" and "respect for diversity" which only leads to controversy and chaos. The Lord Jesus Christ does not promote controversy or chaos but rather He offers everyone and anyone eternal life with no partiality to any ethnic, race or gender. "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:28) Another concerning aspect of the recent demonstrations that have been going on in our country is the fact that these protestors are so deceived that not only do they fail to realize that they are putting themselves in danger but also the rest of our nation. For instance, I wonder how many of the participators in the women's march on Washington D.C. realized that it was organized by a radical Muslim woman with suspected ties to the terrorist organization of Hamas. Her name is Linda Sarsour and she has been an advocate for Sharia Law in America for quite some time. The fact that she is the organizer of the women's march whose mantra was "women's rights" is the epitome of deception as Sharia Law is responsible for the most abhorrent acts of violence and abuse to women and children in the Islamic countries where it is sanctioned! In fact, she wouldn't even have the right to stand in front of a microphone and voice anything in any of the Islamic countries where Sharia Law is the law of the land. That is how deceived she is! Many of the people that lead people into deception are also deceived themselves (2 Timothy 3:13). As Jesus said, "Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into the ditch?" (Luke 6:39). These people are lost in the cauldron of chaos and they need our prayers. And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will." (2 Timothy 2:24-26) While we are praying for these people to come to repentance and be released from the devil's snare, we must at the same time be vigilant and cautious while they are stirring the cauldron of chaos. We need to take Jesus' advice and be "wise as serpents and harmless as doves." (Matthew 10:16) As I am writing this there are myriads of protest going on all over our nation because President Donald Trump has enforced strict protective measures on our borders. The liberal media and the deceived masses have twisted Trump's motives to insinuate racism and unconstitutional measures, however, this is not the actual case. Trump is doing what Obama didn't do and that was protect our country from radical Islamic terrorist. He is showing he has a backbone and not cowering to those that hate and want to harm the people of our nation. What a concept! The protestors in the streets are holding signs saying "Let Them In" without even acknowledging the real motive behind the cause. They hit the streets quicker than the ink even dried on the executive order. I'd like to know how many of these protestors would open the door and let a stranger in their own house without knowing that person's motives. Furthermore, the streets of our nation are loaded with domestic homeless people, many of them veterans, that are not being taken care of as it is and people want to allow more refugees into this country without the proper inspections and protective measures? That is a recipe for more chaos. All one has to do is take a look at many of the countries in Europe that have haphazardly allowed the influx of mass Muslim refugees and see how badly that backfired! Trump is also receiving much backlash for moving forward with his plans to erect a wall at the border of the United States and Mexico despite the fact that illegal immigrants having been pouring into our country for the last several years, many of whom could very well be ISIS members. In biblical times empires and kingdoms were always fortified with walls and their enemies and/or anyone that was a threat to that kingdom would not be able to just walk right on in. Even the kingdom of heaven itself, and the New Jerusalem has a wall, gates and an immigration inspection! "The city wall was broad and high, with twelve gates guarded by twelve angels." (Revelation 21:12) "But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life." (Revelation 21:27) We need to pray for our new President Donald Trump and his administration. For the first time in about thirty years we seem to have a president that respects the Constitution and the protection of our nation and has filled the White House with a cabinet of moral decency. Vice President Pence has openly declared his faith in Jesus Christ and the new director of the CIA, Mike Pompeo, recently stated openly that "Jesus Christ our Savior is truly the only solution for our world." I almost fell out of my chair when I heard that! But it isn't only the faith of these men that is important in their positions, but also the respect for the foundations that our nation was built upon. Our nation was build upon biblical morals and foundations and the Godless generation that has developed since the Bible was removed from public schools forty years ago are hissing at them like vampires with a crucifix pressed on their foreheads. Many of them are seething because they are afraid some of their evil practices will be revoked. One of them being abortion! It is no coincidence that both Satanist and abortion advocates were practically gathered together hand and hand at these recent protests since Satanist use baby fetuses for their sacrificial rites. I'm not going to get into any of the horrific details of this wicked practice but just a little bit of research will expose this reality. The Lord has seen it all and they will be severely judged unless they repent and turn to Christ. These demon worshippers were probably already plotting and planning when Hillary Clinton publicly announced that she would allow the killing of a baby right up to the last day of pregnancy during the 2016 Presidential debate. This wicked and atrocious woman is the alternative that these liberal protestors would rather have running our country. We are living in bizarre world. There are several underlying agendas to all of these recent protests and one of the major ones from all the groups combined is opposition to Christianity. I saw a picture of one woman holding a sign that said, "If Mary would have had an abortion, we wouldn't have any of these problems." My goodness, may God have mercy on her soul! The world is becoming so evil that Bible abiding Christians are now considered the ones causing the problems. This is yet another sign of how close we are to the Rapture. The world is going to rejoice when the Christians have been removed from the earth and there will be no God fearing men to pass moral legislatures to interrupt their evil ways. In Revelation 11, there will be Two Witnesses of God giving testimony of Him and when they are killed it says that the whole world will rejoice over their death (Revelation 11:10), because they were tormented by their testimony. We are already seeing a preview of this scene on our news stations right now. Being a Christian in this world today is burdensome. Christians are being physically persecuted in the Middle East and Christians are being mentally persecuted here in the West. If the wretched things going on in our world today do not affect you, then you are not a Christian. Too many people are living for the things of this world and sadly many of them are even professing Christians. Sports and entertainment are their gods and Jesus Christ is just a name that comes out of their mouths when the opposing team scores a touchdown. Our time is quickly running out and every Christian has a friend, family or loved one that does not know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and they will be left behind to experience the most horrific seven years this world has ever seen. If you think things are chaotic now, wait until the horrors of the Tribulation period kick in! There will be no mercy for the wicked and Satan himself will be running rampant during his final curtain call. This is not a show you want a ticket for! If you are a Christian reading this, it's time to preach the gospel to your loved ones like their lives depended on it, because it does! If you are not a Christian reading this, you can be saved right now by calling on the Name and the only Name that all men under heaven are saved by, and that Name is Jesus Christ. Simply confess that you are a sinner, ask Him to forgive you of your sins and to be your Lord and Savior right now. Then thank Him for dying in your place and rising from the dead so that you won't have to die and will have eternal life. If you have done that then congratulations, you have just entered the family of God and have obtained a ticket to the kingdom of heaven, bought and paid for by the King Himself. Now follow Him and be not of this world anymore. "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world - the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life - is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever." (1 John 2:15-17) So You Want To Be Left Behind - Alf Cengia - http://www.omegaletter.com/articles/articles.asp?ArticleID=8383
So you want to be Left Behind? You see no value in the escapist rapture? Warning: there may be the occasional sarcasm and axe grinding ahead. The Left Behind books created by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins drew no small criticism from bloggers when they first came out. While there was criticism of Jenkins' popular style of writing, the real offense was the pretribulational rapture. LaHaye quickly became the whipping boy of non-pretrib premil bloggers. Previously it was Hal Lindsey. One popular blogger emailed LaHaye with a bunch of "gotcha" questions - and followed up with his own book. If I had a dollar for every protest email sent to pretrib teacher I'd be a wealthy man. Over the past few weeks I've come across several online essays attacking dispensationalism via the Left Behind series. One popular blogger wrote of: "Two painfully obvious reasons why the rapture must be Left Behind." Another gent said he wanted to be Left Behind. The "painfully obvious reasons" were 1) that Scripture allegedly doesn't teach it and 2) because the church never taught it for the first 1800 years of its existence..." William Watson's Dispensationalism Before Darby has refuted this point. But it's a consistent go-to argument. We're told that 1Thess 4:13-18 has as much to do with the rapture as a telephone book has with finding a good steak recipe. I guess they must be reading a paraphrase version. They claim that no biblical scholar of esteem has ever interpreted the passage as proof of the rapture. N T Wright's "Farewell to the Rapture" is appealed to. N. T. Wright is clearly an esteemed scholar. He even has the hermeneutical skills to re-interpret Genesis and keep Theistic-Evolution folk at BioLogos happy. Notably, he's also a supersessionist who doesn't see a prophetic future for national Israel: "Jesus...refused to give up the symbolic language of the kingdom, but filled it with such a new content that, as we have seen, he powerfully subverted Jewish expectations." I have to wonder what God thinks of Wright's symbolism theories (Lev 26:44-45; Isaiah 60:10-12, 20-21; Jer 31:31-37). Did Jesus really subvert these promises? See Barry Horner's Future Israel for more on this topic. Finally Wright - unlike "literalistic fundies" - has a low view of biblical inerrancy. So excuse me if I take his scholastic opinion on future Israel or the rapture with small grain of salt. But here's the kicker. The writers of this ministry website call themselves Christian Free Thinkers. They are a community of believers who feel they've been lied to by the traditional church. Would that be the same church which didn't teach the rapture all those years? Ironically, they claim man's view of God is constantly evolving. Their goal isn't to replace the church's "errant views" with their own absolute views but to expose man's pitiful attempts to turn God into an airtight belief system. We apparently need to break out of our boxes to see God, the world and each other without a heavy-handed bias. Of course that bias would be teachings about sin, hell, homosexuality, the Atonement and God's wrath. God's wrath is a big no-no with these folk. This sort on Free Thinking Christian ministry is gaining popularity. But "free thinking" is an oxymoron in many cases. When you dig further, you find little original material. Many of these "original" ideas have been derived from heretics (Marcion, Girard etc). For example, Jürgen Moltmann is quoted as saying that a God who raptures Christian flight crews so that the plane crashes and kills thousands of people isn't a God we can trust. He calls that God "a wicked idol of a pathological contempt of the world." One wonders what Moltmann thinks of God's wrath against the Egyptians, the Canaanites, Noah's flood etc. Is that God a wicked idol of imaginative OT writers? Moltmann also happens to be a go-to person for postmodern Emergent Leader Tony Jones. His progressive views on homosexuality (and other ideas) are attractive to "free thinking" Christians. Another rapture critic says he wants to be Left Behind because he believes those swept away in Noah's flood are the ones punished by God. It's quite refreshing that someone still believes in Noah's flood. Would that event have been God's wrath? However he doesn't think we should take the book of Revelation literally. He cites Michael J. Gorman's Reading Revelation Responsibly. Gorman thinks one must use a "contextually sensitive reading" (historical and literary genre etc). You know the deal...the horrible stuff may have already happened or is symbolic of something else. There must be some special "decoder ring" available to esteemed scholars like Wright and Gorman. It's not available to the average reader, so one must refer to their books to get the gist of what the Bible "really teaches." Don't trust a Hal Lindsey or a Tim LaHaye. They aren't esteemed and don't own decoder rings. Frankly, I see more creativity in some of these scholastic commentaries on prophecy and the book of Revelation than in the fictional characters of the Left Behind series. We're routinely told that the rapture teaching is escapism. I wish I had a dollar for every time...well, you get the drift. If I see a train coming my way I might consider getting off the tracks. How about you? It's easy to put on a heroic front about something one denies will ever occur. Imagine a conversation between two people standing by a sea shore. One person spots a Tsunami heading towards them and warns the second person. He is casually informed by the disinterested other that the rising of the waves is just a "metaphor." Decoder rings were never handed out to the disciples. They were looking for a literal Messiah and were expected to believe what they read in the OT. The Bible predicted Jewish persecution throughout history and that Israel would be harassed by other nations (Deut 28:64-65; Zech 14:2-5, 16). Isn't that what we're seeing in Europe and the Middle East? Or is that just a metaphor? We're just not on the same literal page as these creative folk. We believe the warnings about a future tribulation period as found in books such as Daniel, Joel, Zechariah, the Olivet Discourse and Revelation should be taken seriously. They don't. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 1Th 5:2-3 It seems to me that critics have a harder time explaining how Scripture allegedly supports their case. But I especially like the simplicity of the following verse: Because you have kept my command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Rev 3:10 So you want to be Left Behind? Have yourself some fun with that plan. Personally, I can't wait to be with the Lord. And I take comfort in the knowledge that He can return for His church at any time. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 1Jo 3:2 Maranatha! The Trump way of war - By Caroline B. Glick - http://www.jewishworldreview.com/0217/glick020317.php3
Unlike his predecessors, Trump is serious about winning. To do so, he is even willing to take this radical step The PLO is disoriented, panicked and hysterical. Speaking to Newsweek this week, Saeb Erekat, PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas's chief conduit to Israel and the Americans, complained that since President Donald Trump was sworn into office, no administration official had spoken to them. "I don't know any of them [Trump's advisers]. We have sent them letters, written messages. They don't even bother to respond to us." The Trump administration's shunning of the PLO is a marked departure from the policies of its predecessor. For former president Barack Obama, together with Iran, the Palestinians were viewed as the key players in the Middle East. Abbas was the first foreign leader Obama called after taking office. Erekat's statement reveals something that is generally obscured. Despite its deep support in Europe, the UN and the international Left, without US support, the PLO is irrelevant. All the achievements the PLO racked up under Obama - topped off with the former president's facilitation of UN Security Council Resolution 2334 against Israel - are suddenly irrelevant. Their impact dissipated the minute Trump took office. Israel, in contrast, is more relevant than ever. While Trump occasionally pays lip service to making peace in the Middle East, his real goal is to win the war against jihadist Islam. And he rightly views Israel as a woefully underutilized strategic ally that shares his goal and is well-placed to help him achieve it. During the electoral campaign, Trump often spoke derisively of Obama's nuclear pact with Tehran. And he repeatedly promised to eradicate Islamic State. But when asked to explain what he intended to do on these scores, Trump demurred. You don't expect me to let the enemy know my plan, do you? Trump's critics dismissed his statements as empty talk. But since he came into office, each day signals that he does have a plan and that he is implementing it. The plan coming into focus involves a multidimensional campaign that if successful will both neutralize Iran as a strategic threat and obliterate ISIS. Regarding Iran specifically, Trump's moves to date involve operations on three levels. First, there is the rhetorical campaign to distinguish the Trump administration from its successor. Trump launched the campaign on Twitter on Wednesday writing, "Iran is rapidly taking over more and more of Iraq even after the US has squandered three trillion dollars there." Shortly before his post, Iraq's Prime Minister Haider Abadi appointed Iranian proxy Qasim al Araji to serve as his interior minister. At a minimum, Trump's statement signaled an abandonment of Obama's policy of cooperating with Iranian forces and Iranian-controlled Iraqi forces in the fight against ISIS in Iraq. At around the same time Trump released his tweet about Iranian control of Iraq, his National Security Adviser Lt.-Gen. (ret.) Michael Flynn took a knife to Obama's obsequious stand on Iran during a press briefing at the White House. While Trump's statement related to Iran's growing power in Iraq, Flynn's remarks were directed against its nonconventional threat and its regional aggression. Both were on display earlier this week. On Sunday, Iran carried out its 12th ballistic missile test since concluding its nuclear deal with Obama, and its first since Trump took office. On Monday, Iranian-controlled Houthi forces in Yemen attacked a Saudi ship in the Bab al-Mandab choke point connecting the Red Sea to the Indian Ocean. Flynn condemned both noting that they threatened the US and its allies and destabilized the Middle East. The missile test, he said, violated UN Security Council Resolution 2231 that anchored the nuclear deal. Flynn then took a step further. He drew a sharp contrast between the Obama administration's responses to Tehran's behavior and the Trump administration's views of Tehran's provocative actions. "The Obama administration failed to respond adequately to Tehran's malign actions - including weapons transfers, support for terrorism, and other violations of international norms," he noted. "The Trump administration condemns such actions by Iran that undermine security, prosperity and stability throughout and beyond the Middle East and place American lives at risk." Flynn ended his remarks by threatening Iran directly. "As of today, we are officially putting Iran on notice," he warned. While Flynn gave no details of what the US intends to do to Iran if it continues its aggressive behavior, the day before he made his statement, the US opened a major, multilateral, British-led naval exercise in the Persian Gulf. US naval forces in the region have been significantly strengthened since January 20 and rules of engagement for US forces in the Persian Gulf have reportedly been relaxed. Perhaps the most potent aspect of Trump's emerging strategy for defeating the forces of jihad is the one that hasn't been discussed but it was signaled, through a proxy, the day after Trump took office. On January 21, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted a remarkable message to the Iranian people on his Facebook page. Netanyahu drew a sharp distinction between the "warm" Iranian people and the "repressive" regime. Netanyahu opened his remarks by invoking the new administration. "I plan to speak soon with President Trump about how to counter the threat of the Iranian regime, which calls for Israel's destruction," the prime minister explained. "But it struck me recently that I've spoken a lot about the Iranian regime and not enough about the Iranian people, or for that matter, to the Iranian people. So I hope this message reaches every Iranian." Netanyahu paid homage to the Green Revolution of 2009 that was brutally repressed by the regime. In his words, "I'll never forget the images of proud, young students eager for change gunned down in the streets of Tehran in 2009." Netanyahu's statement was doubtlessly coordinated with the new administration. It signaled that destabilizing with the goal of overthrowing the regime in Tehran is a major component of Trump's strategy. By the looks of things in Iran, regime opponents are taking heart from the new tone emanating from Washington. Iranian dissidents have asked for a meeting with Trump's team. And a week and a half before Trump's inauguration, regime opponents staged a massive anti-regime protest. Protesters used the public funeral of former Iranian president Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani to denounce the regime. In 2009, Rafsanjani sided with many of the Green Movement's positions. His daughter was a leader of the protests. Among the estimated 2.5 million people who attended the funeral, scores of thousands interrupted the official eulogies to condemn the regime, condemn the war with Syria and condemn the regime's Russian allies. This then brings us to Syria, where the war against ISIS and the campaign against Iran are set to converge. To date, Trump has limited his stated goals in Syria to setting up safe zones inside the country where displaced Syrians can live securely. Saudi Arabia and the Emirates have agreed to cooperate in these efforts. Trump is now engaged in a talks with the Kremlin both above and below the radar about the possibility of coordinating their operations in Syria to enable safe zones to be established. It is fairly clear what the US objective here would be. The US wishes to convince Moscow to effectively end its alliance with the Iranian regime. Trump repeatedly stated that the entire spectrum of US-Russian relations is now in play. Talks between the two governments will encompass Ukraine, US economic sanctions on Russia, nuclear weapons, Russian bases in Syria and Russia's alliance with Iran and its Hezbollah proxies. Everything is on the table. Trump understands that Russia is threatened by Sunni jihadists and that Russia views Iran as a counterweight to ISIS and its counterparts in the Caucasus. A deal between the US and Russia could involve a Russian agreement to end its support for Iran and Hezbollah in exchange for US acceptance of Russia's annexation of Crimea, cancellation of sanctions and perhaps some form of acquiescence to Russia's military presence in Syria. Russia and the US could then collaborate with Arab states with Israeli support to defeat ISIS and end the Syrian refugee crisis. Combined with actions the Trump administration is already taking in the Persian Gulf and Red Sea, and its telegraphed aim of backing a popular Iranian insurrection, Trump's hypothetical deal with Russia would neutralize Iran as a conventional and nonconventional threat. This then brings us back to Israel - the first target of Iran's aggression. If Trump's strategy is successful, then the PLO will not be Israel's only foe that is rendered irrelevant. Lost City of Atlantis Has Been Found - And it's Connected to Jewish Temple in Most Incredible Way - By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz - https://www.breakingisraelnews.com/83028/lost-city-atlantis-found-connected-jewish-temple-incredible-way/#qgKJASWz7S0MmDPa.97
"Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kinds of riches; with silver iron tin and lead they traded for thy wares." Ezekiel 27:12 (The Israel Bible™) The lost city of Atlantis has been found, and it's straight out of the Bible - at least according to a stunning new National Geographic documentary which follows a high-tech, wide-ranging search for the mythical city with incredible results. The documentary, Atlantis Rising, released last Sunday, features Oscar-winning Titanic director James Cameron and Emmy-winning journalist Simcha Jacobovici following ancient clues through Greece, the Mediterranean, and the Atlantic on a search for Atlantis, a mythical city that allegedly sunk into the sea thousands of years ago. Along the way, they discover mind-blowing Biblical connections to Atlantis, including a 3,000 year old carving that ties the mythical city to the Jewish Temple. "So often, when you tell people you are looking for Atlantis, they think it is a crazy project because they think it is a thing that was made up by Disney or Hollywood, a city full of mermaids," Jacobovici told Breaking Israel News in an exclusive interview. Even he was astonished at what they found. Jacobovici, who describes his recent projects as "investigative archaeology", admitted that sources are scarce. The only ancient source for Atlantis was the Greek philosopher Plato in the 4th century BCE. In his dialogues, Plato wrote about a traveller, Solon, who learned about a highly advanced, wealthy civilization, described in depth. It was a port city located "past the 'Pillars of Hercules'", which Jacobovici explained is known today as the Straits of Gibraltar. In Plato's account, Solon describes the destruction of Atlantis by a natural disaster which covered the coastal city with mud and water. According to the story, the city sank into the ground and disappeared. Jacobovici equated this to a tsunami. "Many people may think this is a fictitious account, but Plato went into a lot of detail," Jacobovici argued. "More problematic is that no other historical or archaeological source discusses a city named Atlantis." He pointed out, however, that the Greeks had a habit of renaming people and places. The team set out to find a city that fit the description of Atlantis. The search eventually led them to the Iberian Peninsula, where they began to make a connection between Atlantis and an ancient city known as Tartessos - which appears, amazingly, in the Bible. "There are many artifacts and ancient writings that show that 3,000 years ago there was a great city of Tartessos, very wealthy and with a powerful navy,"Jacobovici described. "Though we don't know exactly where it was, it was purported to be somewhere in Southern Iberia, Spain or Portugal, precisely the area that Plato gives for Atlantis." The research led Jacobovici to believe there is a link between Plato's fabled city of Atlantis, which he believes is Tartessos, and the oft-mentioned Biblical city of Tarshish, citing an unmistakably Atlantis-like reference in Psalms. For, lo, the kings assembled themselves, they came onward together..Trembling took hold of them there, pangs, as of a woman in travail...With the east wind Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish. Psalms 48:5-8 The Bible speaks many times about a city called Tarshish. King Solomon fought naval battles with the wealthy city, an ally of Israel. The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall render tribute. Psalms 72:10 Tarshish is also mentioned as the city that Jonah chose to flee to rather than go to evil Nineveh. But Yonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of Hashem; and he went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare thereof and went down into it to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of Hashem. Jonah 1:3 In Tarshish, "Jonah encountered a fierce storm," noted Jacobovici. "This is very characteristic of the area around the Straits of Gibraltar." The fact that the city of Tarshish is mentioned throughout the Bible seems to contradict a connection with an Atlantis that was destroyed well before Plato's account. Jacobovici had an explanation. "I think there were several stages in the destruction of Tarshish," he said. "One was during the Exodus, and the final one was after King Solomon." Perhaps the most shocking revelation came when Jacobovici interviewed Spanish researcher Georgeos Diaz Montexano. "He showed me Bronze Age symbols, 3,500 years old, carved into ancient shrines," Jacobovici told Breaking Israel News. "Montexano believes that after the tsunami destroyed Atlantis, or Tarshish, the refugees made these shrines to commemorate the destruction of their city and to pray to their gods that Atlantis should rise again." The symbols carved into the walls had distinct design resembling a bull's eye standing on a stick with three legs. The ancient stone carvings in the Spanish shrines are strongly reminiscent of Plato's description of the port of Atlantis: three concentric circular docks with a central rectangular temple to Poseidon, with a canal connecting out to the sea. "The symbol carved into the walls in Spain was an aerial view of the port Plato described, but with the canal depicted as Poseidon's three-pronged trident," Jacobovici explained. Then Montexano showed him something even more remarkable. "In one of these of these shrines in Spain, the 3,000 year old carving is missing the top half of the bull's eye. Montexano theorized that this symbolizes the refugees were praying for a restored Atlantis. "But that symbol, as everyone knows, is the Menorah in the Jewish Temple," said Jacobovici. Jacobovici relates Montexano's theory for the remarkable similarity between the ancient symbol found in Spain and the Jewish Temple. "Montexan believes that when God told the Jews to make the Menorah, he gave them a symbol they already understood, already recognized from the Atlanteans." On Friday, January 27, President Donald Trump stunned the world again. What did he do this time? He kept another campaign promise. Or, at least he began the process for keeping that promise. The President signed an Executive Order titled: "Protection of the Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into the United States." Briefly put, this order temporarily suspended the entry into the United States of all refugees for 120 days. It barred Syrian refugees indefinitely, and it blocked entry into the country for 90 days for citizens of seven predominately Muslim countries: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. Judging by the outcry from the Left and the mainstream media, you would have thought the President set fire to America's national forests! Or torn down the Statue of Liberty. In truth, temporary halts to immigration are not that uncommon. President Obama did it. President Bush did it. Famously, President Carter did it to Iran. Judging by the hue and cry, though, President Trump has started World War Three! House Speaker Paul Ryan explained the order well. He said: "The President has a responsibility to the security of this country.... I support the refugee resettlement program. We're a generous country; it's important. But we can be generous and watch our national security at the same time. We need to pause and we need to make sure that the vetting standards are up to snuff so we can guarantee the safety and security of our country." President Trump told the press at the Pentagon, "We want to ensure that we are not admitting into our country the very threats our soldiers are fighting overseas." Sounds reasonable to me. By the way, only a couple of hundred immigrants were briefly detained while their paperwork was confirmed. No one was detained permanently. However, thousands were inconvenienced. Some grievously. Not by the government or by immigration reviews, but by the protestors who shut down airports and streets. Even New York City taxi drivers (who are mostly immigrants, some illegal) got in on the action. For more than an hour, they refused to pick up passengers at New York's John F. Kennedy Airport. President Trump also did something else that should encourage the Christian world. He told David Brody of CBN that he is going to try to rectify the glaring injustice that has been inflicted by the Obama administration on Christian refugees from Syria. He said, "...if you were a Christian from Syria, it was impossible, at least very tough to get into the United States. If you were a Muslim, you could come in, but if you were a Christian, it was almost impossible.... I thought it was very, very unfair. So we are going to help them." Finally! As I've reported before, the United Nations, the U.S. Congress, and other countries have recognized that there is a Christian genocide occurring in Syria. But President Obama appeared to refuse to allow any Christians to escape the carnage and come to the U.S. In fact, in 2016, 11,000 Syrian refugees were allowed into the United States, but that 11,000 included only 56 Christians! Meanwhile, the Left and the globalists who want to overwhelm the United States with migrants are trying a new strategy to defeat the President's attempts to secure the sovereignty of the nation. They are labeling this attempt to stem the incoming flow of potential terrorists as "Islamophobia." Never mind that the world's largest Muslim nations were not included in the temporary ban. Never mind that the words "Muslim" or "Islam" never appear in the Executive Order. Never mind that three of the seven nations are officially recognized as "state supporters of terrorism" and that the other four are war zones that are hotbeds of terrorist activities. The opponents know they don't have a leg to stand on in opposing the President's legal authority or his wisdom, so they're trying to invoke their ominous ally of "political correctness" to distract Americans from the real issue. Or to shame them into silence. That is the Left's war strategy now. And it's proving to be incredibly effective. Use over-the-top labels (or mis-labels) to brand their opponents. Doubt the veracity of the "man-made climate change" evidence and you become a "climate denier." That label is so stupid it's laughable. Who doubts there is "climate?" Unfortunately, the non-thinking masses gobble it up. Doubt the wisdom of letting men use the restroom or shower facilities with young women -- even little girls -- and you're labeled (absurdly) a "homophobe." Who wants to be a homophobe? Especially if you're not! Which, by the way, very few people are! Think Islam is an oppressive political ideology that deprives women, children, gays, and non-Muslims of their rights and, often, their lives? Then you're a "hater!" Even if you're an intelligent, sensitive, thoughtful person who only wants the best for your family and community, question Islam and the Left labels you a "hater." Once again, who wants to be a "hater?" See how this works? Truth has nothing to do with it. The Left and their globalist mentors do not value the truth, only power. And the shame they inflict on normal Americans by the use of untrue labels does the dirty work. Don't believe me? Look at the recent "March for Life" in Washington, D.C. Scores of thousands of people -- mostly women -- gathered to affirm the sanctity of ALL life. Even the living person in a woman's womb. But if you get your news from the mainstream media, you were told that those thousands of women were actually "opponents of abortion rights!" As if it's the "right" of anyone to kill an innocent child about to be born into the world. Once again, it's an attempt to shame those who favor the right to life (it's the first right enunciated in our nation's Declaration of Independence) into standing down because they don't want to be thought of as an "opponent" to another woman's "rights." God Himself warned us that we are not to conform to the ways of our wicked neighbors. At one point, the children of Israel sought to appease pagan gods by sacrificing their own infants to them, notably the "god" Moloch. They would place their small children onto a white hot brass altar and literally burn them alive. The priests would beat drums loudly so that the fathers would not hear the screams of their tiny babies and change their minds about sacrificing them. Just writing these words brings tears to my eyes. I cannot even begin to fathom such cruelty and depravity. And these were God's "chosen people!" See how devious and dangerous Satan is? Yet we in America, in the last 40 plus years, have legally murdered 60 million of our own children to appease the false gods of "self-determination," "inclusiveness," and "political correctness." The prophet Jeremiah and others warned Israel that God Himself will judge harshly those who do these things, both individually and as a nation. I keep asking myself how America has thus far escaped God's hand. I have only one answer: His mercy toward us. Perhaps because there is a body of believers, and even many non-believers, who fight against the unspeakable wickedness of abortion, God has spared us. This tells me that maybe the "March for Life" is also a march for God's continued mercy upon our nation and its very existence. Abortion may not be a big deal to you, but it sure is to God! Finally, this week I am going to step back a bit from our usual focus on "end-times" prophecy and examine some of the prophecies we call "messianic prophecies." It can be clearly demonstrated that some 300 of the Old Testament prophecies about the Messiah found literal fulfillment in the birth, life, and death of Jesus of Nazareth. The chances of this happening by mere coincidence are mathematically so staggering that it's impossible to calculate. You've heard me say often that the Bible enjoys 100% accuracy confirmed by history. And if it was right about the past, it's wise to believe its predictions about the future will be accurate, also. That means simply that we should get ready for the soon appearance of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Maranatha! My Review of "Rapture Ready...Or Not?" Over the last 35 years, I have literally read hundreds of books on Bible Prophecy and End Time signs. I especially enjoy books on the Rapture, and I have read almost every Rapture-related book published. In all those years, devouring thousands of pages, and millions of words, I have not read a better book on the Rapture than, Rapture Ready...Or Not? Terry James might be physically blind, but he is spiritually sharp and well discerning beyond most authors. In "Rapture Ready...Or Not?" Terry has nailed the pre-trib Rapture, and removed any doubt what so ever about the Church going through the Tribulation. With great insight and Godly discernment, Terry explains with simple, yet profound words, why and how that he has come to believe the ways he does about the Rapture, the Tribulation, and the End Times scenario. I think after reading "Rapture Ready...Or Not?" you too will believe as Terry does, and be Ready for the Rapture like never before! - Randy Thomas - Publisher / Editor - Prophecy Update For more information and or to get your copy of "Rapture Ready...Or Not?" use this link: http://www.raptureready.com/terry/book35.html Forgiving One's Self - by Grant Phillips - http://www.raptureready.com/2017/01/26/forgiving-ones-self/
One of the hardest things for Christians to do is to forgive ourselves. I know. I've been there. You have too, if you will admit it. We all have. If, as a child of God, we ask His forgiveness for sin that has harmed our fellowship with Him, He has promised to forgive us. I'll come back to this later. I'm going to switch horses and talk about getting saved first, and then I'll switch back to forgiving one's self as a Christian. People have come up with all kinds of ways to help God out with getting saved. Churches have split over these issues. New churches have formed over these issues. People have squabbled, pouted, and defriended over these issues. One church teaches that unless you belong to their group you are not saved. There's another group that does not teach that, but they send the same message by their actions. Some teach that unless you're baptized you are not saved. Others go even further and say that you must be immersed and not sprinkled in order to be saved. One group says one must partake of the Lord's Supper (Communion) every Sunday to stay saved. And then there are those who won't allow a musical instrument in the church service since surely a 'real' Christian would not have a musical instrument in the church. There are several groups that teach being saved, and keeping it, require a dress code. I suppose if you break the dress code you're out. Many church groups I am aware of teach that works, to one degree or another, absolutely must be involved or salvation can't be had. (Actually, all of these sound like 'works' to me.) I'm sure I've left out many requirements that churches have come up with for salvation, but God requires only one. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9) I happened to remember while inserting the Ephesians 2:8-9 verses that there are also those who adamantly oppose any translation that is not the King James Version (KJV). I guess if you use any other version you're out of luck. So there's another one. When I read what God says about 'getting saved,' I don't see anything about Bible versions, dress codes, musical instruments, Communion, water baptism, etc. God does have something to say about works however; i.e. "Not of works, lest any man should boast." Now for those who require water baptism for salvation, consider what the Apostle Peter has to say in the following verse. "After being made alive, he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits-to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also-not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at God's right hand-with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him. (1 Peter 3:19-22 NIV) In order not to drag this out, "baptism" means "to identify with." When we hear the word "baptism" we most always think of 'water.' Peter makes it clear that it is not water that saves but "the pledge of a clear conscience toward God." How can we have a "clear conscience toward God?" It is accomplished "through faith" (Ephesians 2:8) in Jesus Christ. When we make that pledge of faith, we know all our sins are forgiven and then we are able to have "a clear conscience toward God." (1 Peter 3:21) So, regardless of what anyone, any church, any denomination, or any group of any kind says about "What must I do to be saved?" (Acts 16:30), the only correct answer, God's answer, is "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved." (Acts 16:31) That same answer is sprinkled everywhere in God's holy word, the Bible, and it never varies. When Jesus saves us we are born again in Him (John 3:3) and ALL our sins are forgiven (Psalm 103:2-3; Romans 8:1). Then someone says, "But, but, but, but, but ...." There are no "buts." The word "but" is a conjunction of contrast, simply meaning something has been added, changed, or refuted. God provided no "buts" in His message of the Gospel. Paul, in 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, again makes it clear that our salvation rests in our resting our faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus says we must believe in Him (John 9:35). John repeats the same message in 1 John 5:13. Jesus says in Matthew 7:21; 12:50 that only those who do the will of the Father will enter the kingdom of Heaven. What is the will of the Father? "For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day." (John 6:40 NIV) Mankind is very proficient at sinning. (Romans 3:23) That's what we do best. That is why we need a Redeemer to buy us back from sin's slave market. Only the Redeemer can do that, and it is available to those who will do the Father's will. To those who do the Father's will, ALL our sins are forgiven and laid upon the one, the Redeemer, who died for us. We are saved and forgiven because of His wonderful grace (Ephesians 2:8-9). Now, let us return to "forgiving one's self." As a Christian, I am still in this earthly body and I will continue to sin until I am with the Lord in Heaven. What happens when I sin? I do not lose my salvation, because all my sins, even those I have not committed as yet, are paid for by the Redeemer, Jesus Christ. When I was saved, I was adopted, born again. I wasn't adopted by just anyone. I was adopted into the family of Almighty God. I am now His child. When I sin I am disobeying Him, just as I disobeyed my earthly parents at times. When I disobeyed my earthly parents, the fellowship was broken. The same is true when I disobey my Heavenly Father. I'm still the child of my earthly parents, and I'm still the child of my Heavenly Father, but I have caused an uncomfortableness (to say the least) between us. It is said that "confession is good for the soul," and it is. "I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah." (Psalm 32:5) "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9) In Psalm 32:5 a child of God, King David, was confessing his sins to the Father and asking forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 is a promise to any child of God that if we confess our sins to Him, He will forgive those sins and even cleanse us from all others that have made us unrighteous before Him. Now for the problem that I stated in the very first sentence, "One of the hardest things for Christians to do is to forgive ourselves." When we ask God's forgiveness but still have doubts about, "Did He really forgive me? I've been as low as road scum. I don't see how He could forgive me," we are in effect calling God a liar. Remember that Jesus said in John 8:44 that Satan "is a liar, and the father of it." Now maybe you don't mind putting God in the same classification as Satan, but not me. Let's close with the final thought, and that is; if we confess our sins, our Father, true to His word, will forgive us. Now we need to do the same. If we cannot forgive ourselves, we in effect try to usurp power over and above God. If God can forgive His own sinful child, who do we think we are to question it? Are we better than God? Are we nobler? If we as a child of God refuse to forgive ourselves, we question the very veracity of God. If we are a child of God, let us confess it (and forsake the sin by the way), believe Him and not allow Satan to continue whispering in our ear, "YOU DON'T DESERVE IT!" Of course, we don't deserve it! That's why it's called "grace." And God does not lie. If you are not a child of God, you too can be forgiven and adopted into the family of Almighty God by placing your faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. Folks, the bottom line is; when it comes to forgiveness, remember those doubts come from the great deceiver, the devil, Satan. Don't allow him to make you miserable. Believe what God says. Accept it, and He will remove that load from your shoulders so you can truly be free to serve Him. Uh oh, I'm hearing, "but, but, but, but" again. "But what if I sin again?" You will. "But what if I commit the same sin again?" You may do just that. I'll give you Jesus' answer to that. "Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven." (Matthew 18:21-22) Any child of God, who is truly repentant of their sins and comes before God seeking forgiveness, WILL BE FORGIVEN. Yes, there will be those who will try to "pull one over" on Him, but He knows who they are, and I would not want to be in their shoes if they don't come to their senses. Forgive yourselves and rejoice that He has forgiven you. Daily Jot: Behind the scenes at the Super Bowl - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com
The NFL often criticized for players who do bad things. It's all over the news when an NFL player does something wrong. What most people don't know is that the NFL has programs, services and resources available to their players to assist them in doing the right thing, in having a career after their NFL playing experience, and being role models to a society whose children need someone to look up to. In reality, if a player is fortunate enough to make it to the NFL, there is no reason in the world that he cannot be a success in life. I know. Part of what I do involves strategic character and leadership development for the NFL. The vast majority of NFL players are successful, positive contributors to society. Behind all the glamour at the Super Bowl are meeting after meeting focusing on character development-most of which are conducted by Christian men and women who care. The NFL stresses and encourages good character and excellence. We see this in its Walter Payton Man of the Year Award to the player who exemplifies character and excellence both on and off the field. All of the 32 teams nominate a player who does outstanding work in the community and is a role model to fans-young and old, alike. The nominees each receive donations of $5,000 in their name to a charity of their choice (usually their own foundation that does great work in the community). The winner is awarded $50,000 for charity work. Many NFL players are Christians. Super Bowl week is full of meetings and activities conducted by Christians. For example, Tony Dungy's organization, All Pro Dads presents an All Pro Dad of the Year award during Super Bowl week at its Faith, Family and Football breakfast. This year's recipient is Troy Vincent, NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations. He played 15 years in the NFL and is the only NFL player to be awarded all four of the NFL character awards the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, the Whizzer White NFL Man of the Year award, the Bart Starr Man of the Year Award. In addition, NFL players and their families worship the Lord in the annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration. This year, the Bart Starr award went to Matthew Slater of the New England Patriots. This award is presented by Athletes in Action, the sports ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. It goes to the NFL player who best exemplifies outstanding character and in the home, on the field and in the community. Slater's father, Jackie, also won the award. Awards such as these are just indicators of how the NFL and football in general promotes leadership and character among its players and coaches. It's real easy to find offense if you are looking for it, and the news media does a good job pointing those things out. But let's not ignore the positive things that people do, including football players, who many will say that they are 1 Corinthian 10:32 men-in whatsoever they do, they "do all to the glory of God." Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged. -Colossians 3:21 Ephesians 6:4 says, "And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord." Notice this is directed to fathers. But, unfortunately, a lot of dads are missing in action these days. It was unheard of in first-century culture for a father to abandon his responsibilities in his home. Nowadays, it seems to be almost the norm. We are losing fathers at an unprecedented rate in our culture. One expert said we are in danger of becoming a fatherless society. Why are fathers so important? To a large degree, a child's view of God is based on their view of their father. You will see a lot of times that people compare their relationship with their earthly father to the one with their heavenly Father. I know this puts a lot of pressure on men, but it's the truth: dads are earthly representatives of God. And God is loving. God is caring. God is nurturing. At the same time, God is just, righteous, and holy. So what are we to do? We are not to provoke them. In fact, the word provoke speaks of a repeated pattern of treatment that causes the child to have anger and resentment that boils over to outright hostility. Instead of provoking them, we are to bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord. This could also be translated "to nourish and feed." Another translation says, "Let them be kindly cherished." So help your children come to Jesus and develop their own relationship with God. And remember that dads are representatives of God to their kids-that is why their role is so vital in the home. FROM THE HEART
