The Exodus: Signs of Redemption and Signs of Judgment - By Isaiah Anderson - https://christianityandpolitics.blog/2019/01/20/the-exodus-signs-of-redemption-and-signs-of-judgment/
I was shoveling the snow this morning, and suddenly the thought came to me, why do the people of the world so often reject the truth of Jesus Christ? Why are so many spiritually hardhearted? As I thought about this question, "why are so many spiritually hardhearted?" I realized this would make an excellent topic for an article. I hope this is a blessing to you. My thoughts began to consider the reasons why people reject Jesus Christ, even with the enormous amount of evidence available today. The obvious reasons first came to my mind: love of sin, refusal to accept or submit to a higher authority, conflicts with one's spiritual heritage, or possibly fear of their families rejection. All of these clearly play some role in peoples rejection of Christianity...But why the hardened heart in the face of such overwhelming evidence? I began to think about Pharaoh, during the time of the exodus and the incredible miracles done to deliver the Jewish people from 400-years of slavery. But more importantly, it was to bring about God's ultimate plan of redemption for all mankind, and to free all people from the bondage of sin and death. Egypt symbolizes the fallen world, while Israel symbolizes the redeemed and called out people of God. I hope to demonstrate how awesome God really is, as we look at the history and prophecy of the Exodus. I hope you read to the end, this will be an amazing prophetic journey through the Bible. The Great Exodus: Signs of Redemption. Had there been no hardness of Pharaoh's heart and the judgements upon Egypt, which is a foreshadow or symbol of the world, we would have missed the signs of God's amazing plan to save all of mankind. Baptism of the Red Sea Without the great exodus and hardness of Pharaoh's heart, we would have no crossing of the Red Sea, which foreshadows the deliverance of God's people. God brought the Jews through the baptism off the Red Sea, to freedom from their Egyptian slavery. Likewise, all who come to Jesus Christ and receive the baptism of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, which demonstrates the passing from this fallen world and death, to God's Kingdom and eternal life in Christ. (Please read John 3:3-8 and Exodus 14:1-31). The Fiery Serpents and Bronze Image Without the great exodus and hardness of Pharaoh's heart, we would have no fiery serpents and the famous bronze serpent image on the pole, which Moses instructed the Jews to lift up, and all that was bitten and looked to image was healed. Likewise, this foreshadowed the crucifixion of Jesus upon the cross, and all that look to Him with faith will be saved. The serpent's (Satan's) deadly injection of sin into the world is healed by the power of Jesus' atonement upon the cross. (Please read John 3:14-16 and Numbers 21:6-9). Water from the Rock Without the great exodus and hardness of Pharaoh's heart, we would have no splitting of the large rock, where it's recorded Moses struck the rock, and fresh water burst forth and gave life-giving water to the Jews wandering in the desert. Likewise, this is a perfect foreshadow of Jesus being the Rock, which was struck and from this actual event, spiritual life-giving water is given to all that come to Him by faith. We are all a lost people, wandering through the desert of this fallen world until we receive the gift of Christ, the life-giving water of eternal life. (Please read John 4:13-14 and Exodus 17:1-7). Passover Without the great exodus and hardness of Pharaoh's heart, we would have no Passover, the perfect foreshadow of God's substitutionary atonement. God instructed the Jews to take and kill a lamb, and place it's innocent blood on the two door post and the lintel. As the Lord passed through the land of Egypt, all the houses that had the blood of the lamb, He passed over, while all the firstborn without the blood of the lamb died. Likewise, this is a perfect foreshadow of Jesus' coming, death, and resurrection. It's through His atonement that we are now saved. All that place their faith in Jesus Christ receive His blood atonement for their sins. The free pardon is paid by Jesus' blood upon the cross, to free us from death, which will pass over His people. (Please read John 1:29, Hebrews 9:11-15, Isaiah 53, and Exodus 12:1-13). Shavuot (Pentecost) Without the great exodus and hardness of Pharaoh's heart, we would have no Shavuot (Pentecost), which is celebrated 50-days after Passover. Upon their arrival at Mount Sinai, God offered the Jews His covenant to be His chosen people and to become a kingdom of priest. We call this the Mosaic Covenant. God came down as fire upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people, confirming His covenant with the Jewish people. This is later affirmed with blood in Exodus 24:8-12. Likewise, Jesus promised His followers to wait for the promised coming of the Holy Spirit. On Pentecost 50-days from Jesus death at Passover, where He completing the blood covenant, the Holy Spirit comes done upon the apostles and disciples in the form of fire. The Church age officially began this day, a covenant that created a new man from the Jews and Gentiles... the Christian. We call this covenant, the Messianic Covenant. Jesus made us His Kingdom of priest, and His ambassadors, which are called to preach reconciliation between God and man, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. (Please read Acts 2:1-4, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, 1 Peter 2:4-10, and Exodus 19:5-18). I could go on and on, but we can see the Lord working all things for our good, for those He has chosen. And like Pharaoh, we see God's mighty hand at work. He uses both the hardhearted and those called out by God and redeemed by Jesus Christ. We can clearly see the Majesty of God with the precise fulfillment of His prophetic revelations and foreshadows, which are recorded for all to read in the Bible. Can we see any future predictions in the Exodus? The Great Exodus: Signs of Judgement Remember I said, Egypt symbolizes the fallen world, while Israel symbolizes the redeemed and called out people of God? We've looked at the redemption of man through the nation of Israel; now we will look at the judgment of man, which are foreshadowed through the judgments of Egypt. Hold on this might get a bit bumpy, but I promise the ending is worth reading to the end. We must start with God's call to Moses, were He affirms His covenant He made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Exodus 6:1-5). He sends Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh to announce His divine judgments on Egypt for their mistreatment of the Israelite's, and to compel them to let the Jews go free. Remember, like Israel was a symbol, or foreshadow of God's plan for the redemption of mankind, through the coming Messiah Jesus Christ; Egypt is also a symbol, they foreshadow this fallen world. The judgments that came upon Egypt symbolize God's future judgments upon the whole world. We call this time the Tribulation, a prophesied coming seven year period of deception, death, and destruction, which will usher in the second coming of Jesus Christ. The Rod Becomes a Serpent God instructed Moses to order Arron to throw Moses staff down before Pharaoh. The staff became a serpent (Exodus 7:8-10). This foreshadows the coming judgment of Revelation 12:9. "And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him." (Revelation 12:9 NASB). Water Is Turned to Blood God instructed Moses to meet the Pharaoh in the morning by the Nile river, as he was likely going out to bathe. Moses ordered Aaron to take his staff and stretch out his hand over the waters of Egypt. The waters turned to blood (Exodus 7:14-25). This foreshadows the coming judgments of Revelation 16:3-4. The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood like that of a dead man; and every living thing in the sea died. Then the third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of waters; and they became blood. (Revelation 16:3-4 NASB). Frogs over the Land God instructed Moses to tell Aaron, "Stretch out you hand with the staff over the rivers, streams, and pools of Egypt." And frogs came up from the waters on the land of Egypt and covered the land (Exodus 8:1-6). This foreshadows the coming judgments of Revelation 16: 13-16. And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs; for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty. ("Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.") And they gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called Har-Magedon. (Revelation 16:13-16 NASB). The Plague of Flies and Gnats God instructed Moses and Aaron to stretch out the staff and strike the dust of the earth, and it became gnats through all the land of Egypt. Followed by the swarms of flies to torment the Egyptians. (Exodus 8:16-21). This foreshadows the coming demonic judgment of Revelation 9:1-6. Then the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from heaven which had fallen to the earth; and the key of the bottomless pit was given to him. He opened the bottomless pit, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit. Then out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given them, as the scorpions of the earth have power. They were told not to hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And they were not permitted to kill anyone, but to torment for five months; and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a man. And in those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, and death flees from them. (Revelation 9:1-6 NASB). The Death of Livestock The Lord told Moses to warn Pharaoh of a coming judgment, which would kill the livestock of Egypt, but spare the animals of Israel (Exodus 9:1-7). This foreshadows the coming judgments of Revelation 8:7-8. Although it doesn't specifically say the livestock die, it's clear any livestock will parish during these specific judgments. The first sounded, and there came hail and fire, mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth; and a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up. The second angel sounded, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea; and a third of the sea became blood, and a third of the creatures which were in the sea and had life, died; and a third of the ships were destroyed. (Revelation 8:7-9 NASB). The Plague of Boils God said to Moses and Aaron, "Take handfuls of soot from a kiln, and throw it towards the sky in the sight of Pharaoh." The soot became a fine dust and spread out over all Egypt and boils came upon all man and beast throughout Egypt. This foreshadows the coming judgements of Revelation 16:2. So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth; and it became a loathsome and malignant sore on the people who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image. (Revelation 16:2 NASB). The Plague of Hail The Lord commanded Moses to stretch out his hand toward the sky, that hail would fall upon the land of Egypt. All that were out in the fields were killed by the hail. This foreshadows the coming judgment of Revelation 16:21. And huge hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, came down from heaven upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague was extremely severe. (Revelation 16:21 NASB). The Plague of Locusts The Lord commanded Moses to stretch out his hand over the land of Egypt, and locusts came up over the land, they ate every plant and fruit that survived the hail. (Exodus 10:1-16). This foreshadows the judgment of mass famine in Revelation 6:5-6. When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, "Come." I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil and the wine." (Revelation 6:5-6 NASB). Darkness over the Land The Lord commanded Moses to stretch out his hand towards the sky, and a thick darkness covered the land of Egypt for three days. (Exodus 10:21-29). This foreshadows the coming judgment of Revelation 16:10-11). Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became darkened; and they gnawed their tongues because of pain, 1and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores; and they did not repent of their deeds. (Revelation 16:10-11 NASB). The Last Plague of Mass Death The Lord had Moses warn of a judgment so severe, even Pharaoh's hardheartedness could not resist God's will. He warned of the coming death of every firstborn within Egypt, from servant to the master, the slave and the free, even the firstborn of the cattle. (Exodus 11:1-10). This foreshadows the coming judgments of Revelation 19:11-21. And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS." Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice, saying to all the birds which fly in midheaven, "Come, assemble for the great supper of God, so that you may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of commanders and the flesh of mighty men and the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them and the flesh of all men, both free men and slaves, and small and great." And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone. And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh. (Revelation 19:11-21 NASB). God's Final Warning and Message of Love God has warned us of a time so terrible we can't image. The good news is you don't have to experience this nightmare, God has made a way to be forgiven of your sins and have your sin debt paid in full. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us-for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE"-in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. (Galatians 3:13-14 NASB). But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!" Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God. (Galatians 4:4-7 NASB). God loves you so much that He planned all of this before the creation of the world. The 400-years of slavery, the exodus of the Jews, the miracles of the prophets, the coming of Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection. All of this is testified to by history, the prophets, and the apostles. Jesus said, "Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. "In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. "And you know the way where I am going." Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. (John 14:1-6 NASB). You also have a choice to make. You can harden your heart like Pharaoh, and suffer destruction, death, and eternal anguish; or you can be like the apostles and disciples of Christ Jesus, humble yourself, repent of your sins, and trust in Jesus Christ today...which will you choose? Will Iran Force Israel's Hand? The Iranians Have Yet To Be Deterred - By Israel Kanett - http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=2951 Israel's now overt war against Iran has moved to the airwaves as well. At the Cybertech2019 conference held last week in Tel Aviv, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, "Iran threatens us in many other ways. They issued ... threats that say they'll destroy us. ... We're not oblivious to these threats. They don't impress us because we know what our power is, both in defense and in offense." Netanyahu was responding to threats made by Hossein Salami, Iran's second-in-command of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, who threatened recently to "eliminate" Israel if it tries to attack Iran. He said, "Our goal is to eradicate Israel from the world's political map." Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Shamkhani, a close aide to Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, threatened Israel as well, saying Iran would continue to develop its ballistic-missile capabilities to counter Israel's "acts of stupidity." On Jan. 29, Dan Coats, U.S. director of national intelligence, warned of increased chances of a regional war when he told the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence that "Israeli strikes that result in Iranian casualties increase the likelihood of Iranian conventional retaliation against Israel." In Coats's view, Israel has not succeeded in deterring Iran from building up its military presence in Syria. Indeed, Israel's President Reuven Rivlin, speaking at the 11th annual INSS conference that just took place from Jan. 29-31 in Tel Aviv, warned that Iran will likely "intensify its responses" to Israeli strikes in Syria and will "retaliate with greater force." Efraim Inbar, president of the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security, agrees with Coats. Inbar told JNS, "It's a continuation of what we've seen before. We tried to prevent the enrichment of the military presence of Iran in Syria. So far, we have been successful in preventing [them from] establishing air bases and naval bases, and probably also bases for launching missiles. And we see a determined effort on the part of Israel, which is not likely to stop. On the other hand, we see a similar determined effort on the part of Iran. It's not clear that so far we have been successful in deterring them from continuing." "I think the goal is clear--to establish an additional front near northern Israel on the other side of the Golan Heights, and they believe they will be able to establish something similar to what they have established successfully in Lebanon," said Inbar. "To some extent, our determined effort is a clear admission that we were wrong about Lebanon. For years, we were saying that [Hezbollah's] missiles will get old and not be effective, and we learned the hard lesson in 2006. So this is part of the Israeli learning curve. We are determined not to repeat this experience." Asked if Israel would pursue Iran in Iraq even if it pushed Iran out of Syria, he said, "There are reports of Israeli military activities in Iraq as well. Definitely we will try to do it anywhere possible. Iran is a nuclear issue. It's a separate issue from Iran establishing a front for a war of attrition against Israel. We will continue to fight the Iranians and their proxies in Syria and elsewhere probably. A war of attrition will not solve the nuclear issue. [Syrian president Bashar] Assad is linked, of course, to the Russian intervention, and we have no interest in entering into a conflict with the Russians. As long as Assad is not helping Iran, we do not care what kind of regime is beyond our borders." 'The Iranians have yet to be deterred' Norman Roule, a former senior U.S. intelligence official and a senior adviser to United Against Nuclear Iran, also agreed with Coats. He told JNS, "Israel has now conducted hundreds of strikes, and the Iranians continue to build this infrastructure. Thus, the logical explanation is what Israel is doing is not yet a sufficient deterrent to Iran and the Quds Force to keep it from conducting these activities in the future. ... The Iranians have yet to be deterred. ... Iran has been able to move the border of confrontation to its adversary's doorsteps, while at the same time removing it from its own border." "When you speak to policymakers around the world and the region, their first comment is that they wish to avoid a regional conventional war," said Roule. "Well, let's look at what we've got. We've had hundreds of Israeli airstrikes into Syria. I'd call that an air war. We've had hundreds of [Iranian-backed] missiles fired into Saudi Arabia. I'd call that a missile war. We've had naval activity, and we have finally some small numbers of Iranian ground forces in the Middle East. We have an Iranian war against the region already ongoing, but because it's been disaggregated, it receives far less international attention than it should. The danger with all this is that Iran is changing the DNA of the region." He pointed out that Israel has "certainly been able to conduct multiple strikes against Syria, which have prevented the Iranians from establishing an infrastructure in that country. And the Quds force has significantly failed to establish an infrastructure in the Golan. This has also shown that Russia has shown some weakness. They have not been able to stop Iran from conducting these activities. They have not been able to stop Israel or the United States from punishing Iran or Bashar al-Assad." Asked what it would take for Iran to be deterred, Roule said, "It requires multilateral diplomatic and economic pressure of sufficient stature to cause the Iranians to believe that actions will risk an economic pressure that might threaten regime stability. ... They are going through a very difficult period. They are facing unprecedented and simultaneous demographic, economic, ecological, political and social crises. They are also looking at the succession of perhaps a new supreme leader and a presidential election in 2021. Iran needs stability now more than ever, but Iran needs to know that the international community is opposed to its actions." Roule warned that any series of events could easily spiral into a regional war. "Unless the international community sets a real red line with the Iranians--and enforces that red line, and that involves some risk--Iran may believe there are no red lines and continue to push until they achieve a success such as a terrorist action, a missile strike [and/or] an armed drone strike, which could then compel the wounded party to undertake actions that provoke the regional war we all wish to avoid." "Iran has a very carefully considered calculation as to what they can achieve without facing serious consequences," he continued. "And that is a statement on the international community's response to terrorism, to missile proliferation, not just missiles in Iran's own inventory that can strike Israel, but the missile technology they have provided to Hezbollah and to the Houthis, which is unacceptable. The drone attack that was conducted by the Houthis against the Yemenite government recently used the drone that was based on an Iranian system. That was the first action by a government--Iran in this case--using a proxy to kill an official of another government, I believe, in history." Asked if Iran will ultimately fire missiles at Israel, Roule said "we have seen the Iranians use the excuse of actions against ISIS to demonstrate their capacity to fire ballistic missiles into Syria. There are reports they have provided ballistic missiles to the Iraqis. I think for Israel, there is a danger not only that Iran might do this at some point in the future, but that they will give these weapons to Iraqi Shi'ite or certainly to Lebanese Hezbollah, which would then undertake this without Iran receiving any criticism from the international community because of Russian protection at the United Nations Security Council." News from Hal Lindsey Media Ministries - Hal Lindsey - www.hallindsey.com I doubt he fully appreciates it, but President Donald Trump has performed a valuable service for scores of millions of Americans. He has opened their eyes to the insidious atmosphere of deception that pervades America and, indeed, the world. When he takes on the mainstream media and constantly points out the daily examples of "fake news"; when he exposes the bald-faced lies of those who promote the "virtues" of socialism; when he boldly proclaims late-term abortion to be what it is -- infanticide or homicide -- and not the benign disposal of fetal tissue the liberals proclaim; when he points out that the multi-national pacts such as The Trans-Pacific Partnership or the Paris Climate Accord are nothing less attempts by globalist forces to gain control of the world without the approval of the world's citizens; when he calls to account those on the Left who now oppose border security and support for Israel and the sanctity of marriage and the protection of the American worker when, just a few short years ago, they approved and promoted all of those things, President Trump is doing what both Jesus and the Apostle Paul did. He is warning us that we are being misled. We are being deceived. We are being told one thing when the reality is something far different. And in every case, the ones telling the lies know perfectly well that they are lying, but they don't care. To them, the end justifies the means. And the ultimate end is the defeat of God and the victory of Satan over this world. I know that may sound a bit cosmic and dramatic, but it is no less true. How do I know that? I know that because Jesus Himself understood that the atmosphere of deception would be so great in the final days before His return that He took great pains to warn all believers to pay special attention to the danger. When His disciples asked Him to tell them how they would recognize the end of the age, the first words out of His mouth were, "See to it that no one misleads you...." (Matthew 24:4 NASB) In 2 Timothy 3:13, Paul warns that in the last days, "Evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." Just think how only a few short years ago, most Americans (and most of the world's citizens) blithely accepted as truth whatever the press and our leaders told us. Now we know that, in fact, disturbingly little of what the mainstream media or the politicians tell us is true. And if it is true, they are only telling us the portion of it that furthers their ambitions. With the birth of the internet and the explosion of social media, the curtain has been pulled back on the controlling powers in the world. Their constant, malicious deceptions have been exposed. That's why we now see such vitriol and such desperate and unreasoning opposition to anything and everything that smacks of Judeo-Christian values. And even though Donald Trump is not a man of God, there is no doubt in my mind that he is God's man for this time. His willingness to speak the truth and bear the consequences has performed a valuable service for the kingdom of God. Like a lightning rod, he has drawn down upon himself the wrath of the forces of evil in this world. And by striking so viciously at him, they have exposed themselves and their true agendas. He has caused much of the world to realize that it is being misled and has been deviously misled for decades! Are we at last waking up? Is it too late? Like a splash of cold water in the face of a sleeping man, events of the last few months -- even the last few days -- have been a jolt to our sense of well-being. We have learned that for many millions of people in America, and especially those on the Left, the presumption of innocence and the guarantee of due process are just empty words. We have learned that the convenience of the mother outweighs the rights of the child she carries. We have learned that life in the womb is not sacred to the Left, in fact, we are now learning that new life outside the womb may not be sacred, either. And I suspect that soon we will learn that life at the end of one's adulthood isn't really sacred to the Left. We have learned that some of our most respected leaders actually believe that we are incapable of making our own decisions and guiding our own lives. They are taking steps to ensure that we will soon lose those rights. If their plans succeed, our rights of self-determination will be ceded to the government to determine how we earn our livings, how much of our money we can keep, where, when, and if we can receive medical care, how we can educate, discipline, or train our children, what words we can use, what thoughts we are allowed to think and express, when, where, and if we can worship, and who or what we are allowed to worship. Sadly, friends, I am not overstating anything I've just written. In fact, some of these things are frighteningly close to becoming reality. Many of them will be campaign themes in the upcoming 2020 national elections! Censorship, something most older Americans never worried about in America, is now being practiced daily. In fact, many younger Americans are ignorantly demanding it. Socialism is the new mantra of the Left and the Democrat Party. Sexual fluidity is bearing down on us like a runaway train. The public proclamation of Judeo-Christian values is quickly becoming anathema to public acceptance when, not so long ago, it was a requirement for public approval. In short, we are at the edge of the precipice. And most of us didn't even realize that we were approaching a cliff! That's because Satan has been continually and skillfully wielding one of his strongest weapons upon the world: deception. And he has been successfully practicing it since the Garden of Eden. He's so good at it, that he caused Eve, then Adam, to bite! On this week's program, I am going to discuss this idea further. I'll even give you a few examples from the news of the past few weeks and months. I am titling this special edition: "Day of Deception." It's late, but not too late, yet. We still have time to wake up and shake off the chains of slumber. But we must do it now! And we must ask God to rouse His Church to the reality of what is happening around us. We must ask Him to help us realize that we are being deceived and to help us recognize the truth and pursue it with all our hearts. Good Enough Isn't Good Enough - By Dennis Huebshman - https://www.raptureready.com/2019/02/05/good-enough-isnt-good-enough-dennis-huebshman/ All my life, I have heard people say, "I will be going to Heaven because I've been good." It would almost bring a laugh, except it's really not a joking matter. There will be no laughter in that long line at the Great White Throne. Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." (all emphasis mine) Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord." Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace you are saved, and this is not from yourselves; it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so that no man can boast." (We are saved by the Grace of Jesus and the Mercy of God.) For those who say they don't really have to accept Jesus to go to heaven, consider Philippians 2:9-11, "As a result, God exalted Him, and gave Him the name above every name; so that at the name of Jesus, every knee will bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth; and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord to the glory of the Father." And for those who don't think so, this will include Satan and all his demons (fallen angels), just before they're thrown into the Lake of Fire that was made just for them (Matthew 25:41). For those who think their "works" get them a free pass, consider Isaiah 64:6, "But we are all an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." Nothing we can ever do is "good enough" to cover our sin nature without an "acceptable" sacrifice to the Father. Matthew 5:48 tells us, "so then be as perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Anyone who thinks they are perfect in the eyes of the Lord on their own merits is the ultimate picture of foolishness. However, 2 Corinthians 5:21 gives us our answer, "God made the One (Jesus) who did not know sin, to be sin for us; so that in Him, we would become the righteousness of God." When Jesus was on the cross and cried out, "My God, My God! Why have You forsaken Me?" (Matthew 27:46 and also Psalm 22:1), we have to know and acknowledge that Jesus did not sin even once while on this earth. Otherwise, His sacrifice would not have been perfect, and we would still be hopelessly lost even today. When He cried out to the Father on the Cross, it was at that moment that all the sins of this earth - from the very beginning to the end of the millennium - were placed on Him. His sacrifice totally covered all sins of those who have accepted and will accept Him as their Lord and Savior. It makes total sense that anyone who has rejected Him, or will reject Him, will have to answer for their own sins - All Of Them! Any time I catch myself committing a sin, I have to realize as King David said in Psalm 51:4, that any sin we commit is against God and God alone. That is why we confess to Him, and He is righteous and just to forgive us (1 John 1:8-10) if we have first accepted His Son. That's an unbendable condition. "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven, given among people, by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). "They replied, Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household" (Acts 16:31). Note: all the household must accept Jesus individually to receive salvation. John 6:47, "I tell you the solemn truth, the one who believes has eternal life." A song by the Florida Boys, "When He was on the Cross," has a line that hits me personally: "Though His eyes were on the crowd that day, He looked ahead in time; for when He was on the Cross, I was on His mind." He had the ability to look into what we call the future. I say "we" because God is not bound by time as we are. He made time for us. And being that He is all-knowing, it was possible that Jesus could see every sin at once. Can you just imagine what that would be like? We're sickened by just the events of today, but think what it would be like to see every sin from the Garden of Eden all through the Millennium! This is what Jesus died for, and why God is so adamant that we accept this wonderful sacrificial gift. Our God has to be a Loving Father to not have destroyed this earth long ago. However, He loves us so completely (John 3:16; Romans 5:8) that He wants as many as possible to be with Him forever (2 Peter 3:9). The time is rapidly approaching that His wrath will be taken out on this earth in the form of a 7-year tribulation. Before that happens, He has promised He will take all believers in His Son out of this world to keep us from that wrath. We will hear a trumpet/shofar, and a shout from the Archangel, and rise up to meet Jesus in the air. It will happen in the twinkling/blinking of an eye (1 Corinthians 15:52), so that the secular world will only realize we're gone - after it actually happens. For those who believe they can call out to Jesus as the horn and shout takes place, the twinkling/ blinking has been estimated to take about 1/60th of a second or less. No one could possibly accept Jesus in that time. The best-case scenario would be to accept Him now, before it's too late. God is patient, and will forgive any and all who call out; but He is also righteous and just to allow anyone who rejects Him and His Son to take their place in the Lake of Fire. All will know it was their own choice to be there. Prophecy experts, who have much more knowledge than I, say that everything leading to the 7-year Tribulation is in place. Before that can get started, when the 7-year peace plan is signed between Israel and the world, there will be an event where all believers in Jesus will be "caught up" or "Raptured" to meet Him in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17). After that, people will still be able to accept Jesus, as there will be many during the tribulation that will do so; however, many will be martyred for that decision. Jesus is waiting for all who will, to call on Him to be saved. He knows the majority of this world won't do so (Matthew 7:13-14), but will turn no one away who truly wants Him as their Savior. No works, rituals, or special speech will save you other than something like, "Jesus I need you as my Savior; please forgive my sins and accept me as one of Your own. I believe You died for me to take away my sins and give me a permanent home with You. Thank you Jesus for saving me." This is just an example. If you call on Him from the heart, and ask Him to save you - and most important, believe He can do so, and place your faith in Him, you will be saved (Acts 2:21; Romans 10:9-13). Call today. He could be coming for all His believers to take us Home at just about any minute. God knows the timing, and has promised it will happen. He cannot lie (Titus 1:2). Just as all the other prophecies in the Bible have been fulfilled totally, this one will be also. Maranatha [email protected] Daily Jot: Rubber and glue - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com Many in America are now seeing that those who accuse people who disagree with them as being racists, misogynists, bigots and other horrible labels are exactly as their accusations. Look no further than the leftist Democratic Party leadership in Virginia-the governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general have racked up a bunch of proof of the exact things they have been accusing others of being-misogynists, racists, bigots-and they are all trying to deny their way out of the proof. Proof comes in the form of racist pictures. And they are in the position of having to deny sexual allegations, which they once heralded as guilty until proven innocent as part of the "me too" movement. Disgraceful. Here's the sordid triangle of Virginia's leading leftists: Governor Ralph Northam has admitted that he put black face on for a 1984 medical college yearbook. State Attorney General Mark Herring also admitted he wore blackface standing next to a person in a Ku Klux Klan hood and robe when he was in college. And a woman has publicly accused Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax of sexual assault. But all this is just ignoring the real issue that in another day and time they would have been tarred and feathered and ran out of the state on a rail. The real issue here is that they support killing the preborn, even as they are being born. These men support the "Murder on Demand" bill introduced by Democrat Virginia state legislator Kathy Tran that makes it"lawful for any physician licensed by the Board of Medicine to practice medicine and surgery to terminate or attempt to terminate a human pregnancy or aid or assist in the termination of a human pregnancy by performing an abortion or causing a miscarriage on any woman in a stage of pregnancy subsequent to the second trimester." The justification is simply "continuation of the pregnancy is likely to result in the death of the woman or impair the mental or physical health of the woman." Therefore, if the woman consents because of her mental health, the infanticide can be legally committed. Northam's campaign commercials implied President Trump and those who support him are racists. This gang was quick to jump on the guilty until proven innocent bandwagon against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, the "anything anyone says is rubber and it is supposed to bounce off and stick to others like glue" isn't working so well. To top it all off, the real story is that they support infanticide. It's time for the people of Virginia to rise up. They need to repent and reexamine electing those who believe in the immorality systemic in the Democratic Party. In fact, all Americans should rise up and demand the removal of these people and their never-ending hypocrisy and obstruction. As in Job 8:13, "Such are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish." Daily Devotion: Let God Fight the Battle - By Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. -1 John 4:4 At the time of Israel's exodus from Egypt, there was no mightier army on the face of the earth than Pharaoh's army. Imagine what it must have been like for the Israelites to see that army pursuing them with chariots and horses, with shields and swords and spears. If it were happening today, it would have been tanks and hummers and aircraft coming at them all at the same time. The Israelites thought they were dead. So what did Moses tell them to do? He said, "Don't be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm" (Exodus 14:13-14 NLT). Just stay calm. . . . That's kind of hard to do. Sometimes the devil comes at us with everything he has, with all his temptations and all his deceptions. We think we're not going to survive it. Yes, we will. The Bible says, "But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world" (1 John 4:4 NLT). Christ is in you. You belong to the Lord. Yes, the devil can tempt you. He can hassle you. But he cannot overcome you, because you are under God's protection. That is why Ephesians 6 tells us about the believer's spiritual armor: the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the sword of the Spirit, and so forth. But before the apostle Paul begins describing this spiritual armor, he writes, "A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power" (Ephesians 6:10 NLT). Stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. FROM THE HEART
