Christians all over America are sick of what the wicked are doing. When a bunch of idiots can whoop and holler over the right to kill babies right up to birth, it is time for God to act. I promise you that He will! And soon! Godly men and women will be the last to rejoice but their rejoicing will be triumphant. The Book of The Revelation of Jesus Christ was written out of His love for His future bride. It is a love story composed of many breathtaking revelations and actions that have one primary conclusion: New Jerusalem, full of His beloved, surrounded by a multitude of angels and saints. All of this beauty will be enjoyed forever on a New Earth situated within a New Heaven, where God the Father and God the Son are the light and center of it all. The Father that gave His Son in redemption will enjoy this family for eternity, and we will worship and enjoy Him. Following the presence of the saints of God in this Book of Revelation is a great story of this masterpiece of literature. The redeemed are not obscure or unnecessary to this book; it was revealed and written for them. We are the purpose of the book. One of the unique truths about the entire Bible and all of our God's revelations and miracles is that they always have a deep meaning for our lives. Our God does nothing as a show. Every revelation has meaning and purpose for His creation. Satan and his false religions will dazzle you with their display without any meaning or benefit except to capture your attention. The most important truth in discernment can be discovered in the presence or absence of genuine benefit and meaning. Our Father and His Son have revealed themselves and their revelations to inspire and fill your life with beauty, purpose, and purity. The saints of God are given five different titles or positions of authority in this Book of Revelation. These titles reveal the progression of the story that the Lord is revealing to us. You can determine when the Rapture occurs by the change in the title and position held by the saints of God. When we cease to be called the church, we know that the church has moved up higher and must fulfill a different role in God's revelation. Later, we become His army to fight and defeat the Antichrist and his horde of the Beast's tattooed army that is determined to destroy everything contrary to him. These different titles are themselves a masterful tool to communicate the End Time message and order of events. His saints are central to His plan for the redemption of His universe. This book begins with a blessing promised to the saints if they read, hear, and keep the great truths that are contained in this revelation. "Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand." (Revelation 1:3) Then it ends with an even more wonderful and supernatural setting. "And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God." (Revelation 21:3) From the beginning of this Book to its ending, we are His love and passion. Every promise, every action of judgment, and every revelation of coming glory was all planned, ordained, and will be fulfilled so that His saints can enjoy Him for all eternity. What a day that will be! Let me begin with a chart that clearly shows the progression of our titles and positions as the book unfolds. Please view the chart carefully. The Bible calls us saints throughout the sixty-five books, from Genesis to Jude. But the titles change in Revelation, because this book reflects the activities assigned to us as we serve Him in fulfilling prophecy. The Kingdom of God is never void of His saints. "For we are labourers together with God..." (I Corinthians 3:9) He has given to us the words of redemption. "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation." (II Corinthians 5:19) It is His promise that we are going to judge the world and angels. "Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?" (I Corinthians 6:2) "Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?" (I Corinthians 6:3) Our positions in the coming redemption of all things are spectacular. We are at the center of this great Book of Revelation given to us by Jesus Christ Himself. He received it from the Father and dictated it by angels and John, and commanded it to be written down and given to the church. How plain must He be to get our attention? Exodus 20 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. 13 Thou shalt not kill. The Saints Called the Church The first title given to the saints is located in the first three chapters. The very title "church" constitutes a "called-out assembly, set in authority to conduct His Redemptive business in the world." His very language to His church in those three chapters denotes responsibility and a calling to service. The church is not a hiding place, but a serving place. The church is not where you go to be blessed, but where you go to bless others. For a group of people to claim to be His church is to accept the responsibility to obey His every command and challenge. The seven letters to the sevenfold church are absolute instructions and directions to model the church life. Any church that does not model its doctrines and lifestyle after these letters is not His church, but its own club. The church is a kingdom business. Our duty is to model the Gospel after Christ and literally seek to win the world. We must win them and then make disciples out of them so that they take up the business of the kingdom themselves. It is not just our duty to preach the Gospel and win the lost; it is also our duty to cast out devils, heal the sick, and set the captive free. We are never told to just pray for the sick. We are told to pray for them and to heal them by His authority, but never in our own authority. The church must be the church acting in total surrender and doing His business on earth in the exact model of His ministry. A Bible church is a Book of Acts church. The Elders Seated On Thrones The saints are no longer called the church after John was caught up before the Throne of God. Immediately he saw the saints seated on lesser thrones before the Great Throne of the Father. The number of these elders is twenty-four, the perfect combination of First Testament and Second Testament saints. They are glorified because they sit in His presence without being smitten on their faces. As they celebrate their glorious victory, there can be no doubt of the Rapture that has removed these Saints from the earth to the city of Heavenly Jerusalem. The number twenty-four is a symbolic number because the same group is a multitude in chapter five. "And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands." (Revelation 5:11) The Biblical description guarantees their transformation from the church to the reigning elders joining the Father and the Lamb in the judicial processes of redemption and judgment. "And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold." (Revelation 4:4) They are in authority, sitted on thrones, clothed in white raiment, glorified, wearing crowns of gold, and rewarded. The great hope of the church is the Rapture and this scene is absolute certainty that the Rapture has occurred at this point in this great story. From chapter four all the way to chapter nineteen, verse fourteen, the saints are called elders. This covers the entire seven years of the Great Tribulation. At the end of these seven years of judgment and redemption, Jesus Christ prepares to return to the earth to set up the Millennial Kingdom. Upon returning, He must first defeat the devil, the antichrist, and the false prophet, plus the devil's army gathered from the nations of the world. They have gathered in Megiddo and this great battle has been prophesied for millenniums. The elders have shared the seven years of judicial activities with Christ, while also celebrating the Marriage Supper. They are ready to take on another role as His army descending with Him back to earth. Romans 1 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: His Army Riding White Horses The saints were His church, and they became His elders at the Rapture. Now, it's time for His Second Coming and they become His army. "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war." "And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean." (Revelation 19:11,14) The saints are going to constitute an invincible army with the King of kings riding as the triumphant Word of God. This is the long awaited Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to end the reign of terror by Satan and all evil. Jesus described this day perfectly. "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." (Matthew 24:29-31) Malachi prophesied that the Saints of God would be removed to a safe place during the coming darkness that Jesus called the Great Tribulation. He concluded his promise with a beautiful addition that we would come back to earth with Him. "Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not." (Malachi 3:18) "Then shall ye return" clearly ties the First Testament saints with the Second Testament saints to fulfill the twenty-four elders in chapter four and also shows these saints as returning together as His army to conquer and take control of the earth. The saints of all the ages will be one company, first as His elders; but, now, His army to capture and rule a world that has been out of control. His Kings and Priests Mostly, wicked men and women have ruled the world, but by prophecy the saints have known that the day would come when righteousness and righteous people would rule the earth. The one thousand years called the Millennium is not just a time for Jesus Christ to rule, but also for His saints to rule with Him. In the first chapter of this book He promised that such a day would finish this prophecy. His very purpose of this revelation was to set our hearts on the future. Hope is to live in joyous expectation. "And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen." (Revelation 1:5-7) His great purpose in His church is to prepare a people to be his "kings and priests on earth" and to rule with Him. Now, this great prophetic revelation sets the time and date for this to be fulfilled. His army has conquered the earth. The evil army of Lucifer and his fallen host are vanquished and judged and His saints are ready. "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." (Revelation 20:6) The doctrine being promoted today called Kingdom Dominion is a lie of Lucifer. This doctrine arises from Replacement Theology, which takes Israel's promises and superimposes them on the church. The Millennial promises are beautifully represented in the First Testament and this Revelation's chronology puts their fulfillment in its exact place. The church and Israel will enjoy the Millennium together. Israel will rule the complete geographical area promised to Abraham and it will be the garden center of the earth. The church will rule the Gentile world and it will also become a garden. The Jews and the Gentiles will equally enjoy the promises of prosperity all together as the family and followers of our Christ and Lord. Isaiah spoke vividly of this Millennium Day for the First Testament saints. "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising." "Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee." "Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations." "Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified." (Isaiah 60:1-3,5,15,21) This earth is on track for her day of the greatest glory with God's redeemed saints reigning as kings and priests with Jesus Christ as Lord of all. The one thousand years of righteousness will allow the earth's population to expand and set the minds of the natural world toward the hope of eternity. After a short period of temptation from Satan and the utter desolation of his ill-conceived efforts to attack the saints, the world will be ready to forever turn only to the Creator's glorious kingdom. It is time for time to be no more. 1 John 5 18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. 19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. 20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. The Bride of Christ and His New World Order Everything is going to be recreated in holiness. The marvelous city of New Jerusalem will descend out of God's Heavenly City, and the earth and heavens will be utterly renewed in perfection without the smallest flaw. The title of His chosen saints will forever be "The Bride of Jesus Christ." We carried the burden of our natural life for His church, waiting each hour for Him to come as He promised. We served as His elders during the dark tribulation years. We mounted our white horses and rode like warriors to vanquish the armies of Lucifer. And, we ruled honorably over His Millennium kingdom. Now, it's time to enter into our greatest glory, take our residence in the city of His Bride, and serve as pillars in the temple of our God. His mark or character will be written on our brow, and we will enjoy a spotless eternity. The city of New Jerusalem is beyond description. Yet, its glory will not be comparable to our Beloved Father and His Beloved Son. The light and glory of eternity will be our Sovereign God and all that represents His eternal person. Everything about God, from His holiness to His love for all creation, will be fully enjoyed and manifest. The city is a literal city with mansions beyond description, flowers of matchless beauty that never fade, and every possible creation of God without the curse of sin. It's all the best of life without the least amount of anything caused by the curse. Life will be as the Creator intended before the fall of Lucifer and the fall of Adam. The saints are truly the delight of our Creator. This masterpiece of literature has revealed the real life drama of His jewels in the End Time. Each revelation of their titles reflects the chronological progression of both this book and its fulfillment. You cannot alter one event, change its timeframe, or eliminate the results. In divine wisdom, the Son of God has given to us the blueprint and it's up to us to preach and teach this truth exactly as the Master has revealed. The story is ours to tell. After Abbas: The Struggle For Succession Has Begun - By Yaakov Lappin - http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=2961 Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has managed to hold on to power for over 14 years, and has shown no intention of resigning, or appointing a successor. Under his term, Hamas rebelled against the PA's rule and launched a breakaway province in the Gaza Strip, representing a historic split among Palestinians. One half of Palestinians is governed by the PA in the West Bank, and the second half is under the rule of Hamas in Gaza. The struggle for power that is likely to develop after Abbas leaves his position could, with a fair amount of ease, result in violence between Palestinian rivals, and in attacks on Israelis. Senior former Israeli security officials have told JNS about the range of scenarios that could play out on the day after Abbas, 83, no longer heads the P.A., Fatah and the PLO in the West Bank. "The struggle for succession has begun," said Lt. Col. (res.) Alon Eviatar, an expert on the Palestinian arena and a former adviser to Israel's Coordination Unit for Government Activities in the Territories. "It is going on behind the scenes. It is not on overt display because Abbas is still alive. But it is taking place between the candidates for succession and the Palestinian streams." Abbas is unlikely to leave his position out of his own initiative, Eviatar assessed. "There is no natural single successor. But there could be a team that succeeds him. One figure could head the PLO, the second could lead the P.A., and the third would manage Fatah," he said. Such an intermediate arrangement could hold until P.A. elections are held, said Eviatar, adding that an elections process is likely to prove intensive and tense with Hamas seeking to compete. A "team succession" scenario could easily involve power struggles between various Palestinian forces--tensions that might "go down to the street level, with militias and competing elements trying to seize strongholds," said Eviatar. Internal violence, as well as rival takeover attempts by Fatah and Hamas, are certainly feasible, he argued. "This kind situation--of sliding into internal power struggles--can also be directed against Israel. There is no roadblock stopping this from happening. Hence, from Israel's perspective, the most important role for the Palestinian Authority security forces is to block any such deterioration," he said. The question of how much violence the P.A. security forces will have to deal with - and how much of an effort they will actually make in stopping it - remains to be seen, he stated. At the same time, forces that have been dormant so far due to the P.A.'s preventative measures, like the Tanzim militia, and militant elements in Palestinian villages waiting to attack settlers, could stir, resulting in a spike in violence. "So far, Abbas's directive has been to prevent this," said Eviatar. Such an escalation would not, however go so far as to endanger the P.A.'s existence, he argued. "I think the interests of the Palestinian establishment and of outside forces, including Israel, are much stronger than forces that could pull the P.A. apart," he said. Meanwhile, a parallel struggle may ensue over the PLO's budgets and funds with billions of shekels in them. "By all measures, we can expect a certain deterioration of the security and economic situations, which could affect Israel. Everything is tied together. But I don't think there will be widespread chaos and collapse," said Eviatar. Rivals in the power struggle are stockpiling weapons Dr. Col. (res.) Moshe Elad, one of the founders of the security coordination between the IDF and the P.A., said that would-be successors to Abbas are already preparing. "There are all sorts of small signs indicating this, like the stockpiling of weapons," said Elad, who lectures at the Western Galilee College in Akko. "The way things look now, it is hard to believe that there will be an organized transfer of power." He described one "fairly responsible group in Ramallah that is mostly under Abbas's control, which might try to crown the next leader. That someone might not be acceptable to everyone," said Elad. One prominent candidate is the head of the P.A.'s General Intelligence services, Majid Faraj, a figure that "has a lot of power on the ground," said Elad. Faraj could take over until elections are held, and is a figure who is viewed positively by both the Israeli and American defense establishments. "He has ties with the CIA," said Elad. "And he has good links with the Israeli side, mainly in the war against the common enemy: Hamas." "A second possibility is that there will be chaos. That could develop if there will be no consensus, and all sides go dig into their corner," he said. Elad argued that this chaos does have the potential of breaking up the P.A.'s centralized power, with one scenario being "the return of tribalism. We could see the tribes of Jenin, Bethlehem and Ramallah appearing with nothing connecting them to each other. Abbas has been able to connect them." In the absence of a compromise, each "tribe" would control its own territory under the rule of provincial leaders. "For example, Jibril Rajoub would run Hebron, where he is stronger," said Elad. Both Elad and Eviatar said that Marwan Barghouti, the senior Fatah terrorist serving five life sentences in Israeli prison for his role in deadly terrorist attacks, could not be seen as a relevant successor, as Israel has no intention of releasing him. One name that has appeared as a contender is the former head of Fatah in Gaza, Mohammed Dahlan, who is currently living in the United Arab Emirates. Elad said that Dahlan is conducting intense lobbying to try to return to Gaza, and from there, to the West Bank. But he only has a powerbase in Gaza, Elad noted, creating a major hurdle to his wider ambitions. "Dahlan is a dominant charismatic figure. He could be a Palestinian leader, but in the West Bank, he lacks power. He could return to Gaza. He has done preparatory work, and has many strong connections in Qatar and the UAE," noted Elad. Other names that have been put forward to replace Abbas are mostly "just those of people who see themselves as leaders," but are not likely to rise to power, he added. Eviatar cautioned that Hamas in Gaza is likely to attempt to exploit the situation. "Clearly, Hamas will do everything it can to undermine stability, first in the West Bank," he said. "They could also escalate attacks on Israel from Gaza to expand the chaos. As soon as they step up attacks on Israel, the West Bank could heat up. Hamas will ride on anything that can heat up the West Bank." The Civil War was probably the most consequent time of racial strife. Nearly half a million people died in that conflict, but the war was not primarily about slavery. Abraham Lincoln said that he would allow for slavery to continue if it would mean preserving the Union. Racial hysteria has become so profound in our day, a major individual is caught up in a scandal at least once a week. It has become so dangerous in public life, celebrities need to be extra careful with every word they speak. The left has become so sensitive to racism, it's almost impossible to avoid offending them. One of the most dangerous things you can do is offer a compliment to someone of color. Chris Christie thinks that Cory Booker could be a threat to Trump's re-election prospects. At an event hosted by The Washington Post, he offered praise for the New Jersey senator. "Cory Booker: talented, smart, articulate, hope that he stays in this campaign to the roots that I saw him establish in New Jersey," Christie said. "He was someone who was pro-voucher, he was pro-charter school, he was somebody who was tough on crime in the city of Newark. If he stays in that lane, and is the articulate, inspirational guy that he is, then I think he's got a legitimate chance to be a serious potential problem for the president in the general election." The liberal media seized on his usage of the word "articulate," saying it was a dog-whistle word. They said Christie made it clear he liked Booker, but his use of the word came across as a patronizing, backhanded compliment. Speaking of Senator Cory Booker, he recently announced that he is running for the President of the United States. I think the only people that should vote for him are blacks and homosexuals, because that's what seems to exclusively matter to him. During a confirmation hearing to replace the seat held by Brett Kavanaugh, Booker pressed Neomi Rao over her stances on LGBT and African-American issues. Here is a partial transcript of the exchange between Booker and Rao: SEN. CORY BOOKER: Are gay relationships, in your opinion, immoral? NEOMI RAO: Um, senator, I'm not sure the relevance of that. BOOKER: I think it is relevant to your opinion. Do you think African-American relationships are immoral? Do you think gay relationships are immoral? RAO: No. I do not. BOOKER: You do not. Do you believe they are a sin? RAO: Senator, my personal views on any of these subjects are things I would put to one side, and I would faithfully follow precedent- BOOKER: So you're not willing to say here whether you believe it is sinful for two men to be married - you're not willing to comment on that? RAO: I'm sorry. BOOKER: What, I didn't hear your response. RAO: My response is that these personal views are ones that I would put to one side. Whatever my personal views are on the subject, I would faithfully follow the precedent of the Supreme Court. BOOKER: Have you ever had an LGBTQ law clerk? RAO: I have not been a judge so I don't have any law clerks. BOOKER: I'm sorry, someone working for you? RAO: Um, to be honest, I don't know the sexual orientation of my staff. I take people as they come, irrespective of their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation. It does matter that Booker made an absolute fool out of himself with his stupid questions. He will ask the next judicial nominee the same line of questions because of his racist evil nature. Today, even an institution like the Oscar awards has to comply with a growing number of leftist social rules. "Inclusion, diversity, racial, ethnic and gender equality were all buzzwords for the Academy. Having a room full of white men is a sign of failure. Never mind that this year saw the largest class of women nominees. The Academy voting got the diversity memo. They placed Black Panther in several hot categories. Christian Bale is up for Best Actor because he played Dick Cheney in the movie Vice. The Bush-hating liberals will give him their vote. This year's Super Bowl had the shadow of racism hanging over it because of the failure to get Colin Kaepernick's approval. He is the one who made a career out of protests at games by disgracing the playing of the National Anthem with his antics. Because no NFL owner wanted this jerk on their team, the press is fighting a campaign to force the NFL to bow to Kaepernick's demands. The so-called controversy has caused notable artists, including Rihanna, Pink, and Cardi B, to pass on the opportunity to perform at the Halftime Show. Before music legend Gladys Knight sang the national anthem at the Super Bowl, Don Lemon - the dumbest person working at CNN - told her that another performer "basically lost her career" for singing at President Trump's inauguration in January of 2017, and asked whether she was running the same risk. Knight should have asked Lemon if he was making a personal threat. She calmly responded: "You know what? Nothing good comes easy... For me, it's just for me about respect." I think the biggest problem with racism can be found in the Democratic ranks. Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) - all new members of Congress - have all defended anti-Semites or espoused anti-Semitic positions over the last several months. What makes all of them more dangerous is that they believe they are the defenders of Equality. Anyone who calls them out as racists is racist in their eyes. There are six million Jews in the U.S. Because Bible prophecy predicts that the Jewish people will be returning to the land of Israel, it is likely that America will become so hostile to Jews that they will decide to return to their homeland. It must be very near to that hour because we are in a time when few people care if you're an anti-Semitic, but Lord help you if you are ever caught having once posed in blackface. It got me thinking: the fulfillment of Bible prophecy often unfolds in ways we had not previously considered. We're always looking for Gog-Magog, or the destruction of Damascus. That kind of thing. Certainly those things are on the horizon. But another story in the past couple weeks has me just as excited, for different reasons. Two Israeli researchers have announced that they believe they have a cure for cancer. The story is legitimate; articles in The Times of Israel, the Jerusalem Post, and Forbes prove that. "'We believe we will offer in a year's time a complete cure for cancer,' said Dan Aridor, of a new treatment being developed by his company, Accelerated Evolution Biotechnologies Ltd. (AEBi), which was founded in 2000 in the ITEK incubator. AEBi developed the SoAP platform, which provides functional leads to very difficult targets. "'Our cancer cure will be effective from day one, will last a duration of a few weeks and will have no or minimal side-effects at a much lower cost than most other treatments on the market,' Aridor said. 'Our solution will be both generic and personal.'" Remarkable. And...generic! In any case, because it's the Israelis, I believe this report. We'll see, of course, but this would be a watershed moment. And here's how it indirectly is fulfilling prophecy. The key thing indicating we are in the last of the last days, I think, is the intensifying pressure on Israel. This has steadily increased since the founding of the state, and in the past two decades has reached fever pitch. Even now, anti-Semitism is metastasizing around the world. Jews are in peril everywhere. One would think that an announcement of a cancer cure would cause people to dance in the streets. Israel should be lauded. Instead, a few days ago Dutch protestors chanted "Jews burn best!" on Holocaust Remembrance Day. Jews are being beaten up on the streets of cities considered to be cultured. Celebrity pastors continue to de-emphasize prophecy and Israel. This week, a story broke about American rabbis reaching out for interfaith dialogue with Gulf States. Evangelical pastors have been part of these junkets, including the anti-Israel Bob Roberts Jr., who claims to support Israel! The world is upside down. In all this, we are moving-I would say unwillingly-along a path that will lead to outright international war against the Jewish state. It is in this way that prophecy is being fulfilled in the most interesting ways. While we scan the horizon for Gog, everyday things are happening that are at least as interesting. A cure for cancer? Hatred unleashed that points toward Zechariah's prophecies. Jews gathering in a synagogue in South America? Terrorist attack that calls to mind the viciousness of Jew-haters in Isaiah. This is how we know where we are in history. It won't be the "scariest" stuff that signals the time of the very end. It will be the daily evidences that the enemy is alive and well, and trudging to his gruesome destiny. Taking with him millions who decided individually that they hate Jews. Maranatha! In the time it takes to write this sentence, the national debt has risen some $200,000. It stands a little over $22 trillion--$66,998 per citizen and $179,805 per taxpayer. The US workforce is 156.8 million, but there are 94.9 million not in the workforce. There are 158.3 million people receiving some form of government benefits, including 37 million on food stamps. In other words, national debt is nearly $180,000 per taxpayer (someone who is generating income, ie. working) and there are over 10 million more people receiving government benefits than are working. We have become a socialist state in dire financial condition. These figures are found on the US National Debt Clock as provided by various government agencies. We are in great trouble as a nation. Even though the government has mandated that everyone must buy insurance, there are still 27.5 million people without insurance. The debt, according to the US Department of Treasury, jumped more than $30 billion in just the last month. I remember in the 1980s, the news media was busting on the Reagan Administration for adding $1.86 trillion to the national debt, raising the defense budget by 35% which brought a huge peace dividend when the cold war ended. Hardly a word was reported with the immediate past "president" raising the debt by nearly $8.6 trillion. Judd Gregg and Edward Rendell, co-chairmen of the nonpartisan Campaign to Fix the Debt, a project of the nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, issued a statement saying the debt eclipsing $22 trillion "is another sad reminder of the inexcusable tab our nation's leaders continue to run up and will leave for the next generation. With deficits rising and gross debt scheduled to jump by more than $1 trillion annually, Congress must take action to put the country on a more sustainable path. The fiscal recklessness over the past years has been shocking, with few willing to step up with a real plan. We need responsible leadership to fix the debt, not a worsening of partisanship." There is an old saying, "If you dance all night, you have to pay the fiddler in the morning." Trouble is, this debt dance by these cunning, incompetent elected officials is costing Americans so much that no one can afford even their part of the fiddler's fee. At $22 trillion, this national debt could cause a huge economic collapse. It is increasingly difficult to live by the Biblical standard found in Romans 13:7,8, "Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor. Owe no man any thing, but to love one another." From debt to taxes to customs to tribute--who is going to pay? I've also been told, "Love don't pay the bills." Leadership matters. So he awoke from his sleep, and said, "I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!" But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him. Judges 16:20 Talk about sleeping with the enemy. Samson was comfortable enough with Delilah to fall asleep in her lap. That's amazing to me. But then there is this sad statement: "But he did not know that the Lord had departed from him" (Judges 16:20 NKJV). If Samson had not been in this sinful relationship with Delilah, he wouldn't have found himself in the mess he was in. But Delilah wouldn't give up. She kept tormenting him and nagging him. And then she went in for the kill: "How can you say, 'I love you,' when your heart is not with me? You have mocked me these three times, and have not told me where your great strength lies" (verse 15 NKJV). In the end Samson told Delilah his secret. He confessed that his hair had never been cut and that he had been dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth. Then he told her that if his head were to be shaved, his strength would leave him and he'd become like anyone else. Delilah realized that Samson had finally told her the truth. So she sent for the Philistine leaders and then lulled Samson to sleep with his head in her lap. She called for his hair to be shaved off, making his capture certain. Samson didn't realize the Lord had left him, and the Philistines overpowered him. Any person who would ask you to compromise your principles as a believer to prove your love doesn't really love you. The fact of the matter is that if someone loves you, they'll tell you the truth. Proverbs 27:5 says, "Open rebuke is better than love carefully concealed" (NKJV). Moral compromise always makes us vulnerable. And if we're not careful, we can come under the sway and the intoxicating effects of sin.
