How Much Longer Lord? - By Pete Garcia -

How much longer will this current world-gone-mad continue? It feels like we are at the end, but then days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months, and months into years. But why then does last week, feel like last year? Why does last year, feel like last century? Everything seems to be speeding up, but at the same time, it never seems to culminate into anything tangible? What if 2018 comes and goes and we are still here? All the while, the world continues in its never-ending crush to grind down everything good and decent. It feels like the insane were given the keys to the bus and are hell-bent on driving us off a cliff. Assessment If you have ever had any of the above thoughts, you are not alone. The answer to all of these questions are summed up in two key thoughts: Can we trust God? Can we trust the Bible? If the answer is yes to both, then we must understand that God does not do anything unintentionally. Although we may not know the future, it is not hidden from God (Isaiah 46:9-10). However, I know how you are feeling. Acknowledging God's sovereignty and omniscience is not the same thing as understanding when He is going to exercise that authority and take us home. It certainly does not make anyone feel any better about being here longer than we expected. That is why God, in His infinite wisdom, gave us hope. Hope in the form of His Son and His prophetic word. At the cross, Christ conquered both death and hell and holds the keys since neither could stop Him (Revelation 1:18). For believers, this translates into us not fearing what comes after death. As for the living, we also have hope in the Scriptures. And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 1:19-21 Assurances With the Son conquering death and hell, which covers our life after this one, our existence here still requires hope. Which is why God gave us hope in the form of His word. For our hope is not a "blind hope." Our hope is rooted in truth. It is grounded in the historical, geological, geographical, theological, and ethical reality. Furthermore, our hope is outlined by God's prophetic word. The same word He places even above His own name (Psalm 138:2). However, the reality of God's word does not appear to ring true in the world today. Why is God's word under assault from every direction? Why can every belief, faith, and religious system in the world get a free pass no matter how egregious, but if you dare mention the biblical Jesus in a public forum, everyone becomes unhinged? For all these questions, we have the signs as mentioned by both Jesus and Scripture. These are the signs that serve as assurances that we were told to look for concerning the time surrounding His coming. Sign #1: The world would be given-over to deception The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 The Bible is clear that once Adam and Eve fell, man surrendered the title deed of the earth over to the fallen angel Lucifer (albeit temporarily). This is how Lucifer (titled Satan the Accuser) could legitimately offer Christ all the kingdoms of the world, because (according to Satan) this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish (Luke 4:5-7). Jesus did not dispute this point when being offered the world. Instead, He rebuked Satan using Scripture...Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.' (vs. 8) Jesus acknowledges at present, the ruler of this world is coming. Paul calls him the 'god of this age,' who deceives and blinds the whole world. Peter calls him the "roaring lion" who walks about seeking whom he can destroy. John calls him the Antichrist but also acknowledges that 'many' antichrists have and will come as well. This is acknowledging not only confirms the physical manifestation of the coming Antichrist but also the power behind him (Satan), who leads the fallen armies of angelic principalities and powers in this world. [John 14:30; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 2:2, 6:12; 1 Peter 5:8; 1 John 2:18, 22, 4:23; 2 Jn 1:7] What we are witnessing now in these final moments, is the hardening and quickening of this deception. It is being cemented into the minds of the unbelievers that anything and everything but the truth, is believable (Romans 1:18-32). While it is increasingly uncomfortable living in a world that is becoming more and more hostile to the truth of the Gospel, Jesus forewarned His disciples (and by extension us) that the world would come to view killing us as doing God's work (John 16:2). Jesus later explains that the final three churches addressed in the Seven Letters to the Seven Churches (Revelation 3), come to three different situations based on this demonic deception. Sardis Church: called the 'dead' church for their dead faith. They are rebuked for this and exhorted to "watch," or they will be caught unaware of His coming. Revelation 3:1-6 Philadelphian Church: refuses to give into the world, and as a result, has little strength. They have not denied His name and remain true to God's word. For this, they receive no condemnation and will be delivered before the global hour of testing. Revelation 3:7-13 Laodicean Church: given over to the world, acquires abundant luxuries, and claim they need nothing. In reality, they are poor, blind, and naked. They neither confirm nor deny anything that would cause them discomfort. Their lukewarmness makes Jesus nauseous. Revelation 3:14-22 Because the Laodicean church seemingly becomes the final, dominant face of Christendom on the earth, their refusal to stand up for the truth (i.e., lukewarmness) results in an explosion of apostasy. Countless false teachers, false prophets, and false messiahs arise due to the churches inability or unwillingness to stand for the truth, and millions are led astray. [Matthew 7:13, 24:4-5, 11, 24; 2 Peter 2:1, Jude 1:4] Sign #2: The days of Noah and Lot And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. Luke 17:26-30 Because the world is given over to this grand deception and currently lies under a veil of blindness, it (the world) is unable to accept the reality that our day is almost identical to the conditions of Noah and Lot's day. Think about it this way: if God and the Bible are true, (they are), then why else is it so hard for people to accept Creationism as our point of origin? Instead they believe in preposterous and completely unprovable theories like Darwinian Evolution or "the Big Bang." The truth is that if the world acknowledged biblical creation, then they would also have to acknowledge Noah and Lot's day. Imagine for a moment, that we lived in a world where there was no spiritual blindness, and all the government and academic institutions actively sought to understand what the world was like before the Noahic flood. How much could we know? A lot more than we do now! Then we would come to understand that the conditions today (population, technology, intelligence, spirituality, etc.) are almost identical to what it was then. Yet, the world we currently live in mocks and scoffs at the idea of biblical creation. They mock and scoff at the idea of a global flood. They mock and scoff at the idea of a place like Sodom and Gomorrah being destroyed for sexual perversity. The world is given over to an intentional, demonic spiritual blindness that refuses to accept the truth. Because of this, like righteous Lot, we too are oppressed and tormented by the unrighteousness that currently surrounds us. ...and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)- then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment 2 Peter 2: 7-9 Sign #3: Faith fading Then the Lord said, "Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?" Luke 18:6-8 Christ asked this rhetorical question at the end of the parable of the unjust judge while He was physically on the earth. So He was not addressing the day He was in then, nor of the time surrounding His Second Coming. We already know that Christ will not return at the Second Coming until the Jewish people cry out "blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord" (Matt. 23:39). The Jewish people will not do this until this veil of blindness is lifted from their eyes and they realize that Jesus of Nazareth, was, in fact, their Messiah whom they pierced (Zechariah 12:10; Romans 11:25). As for the rest of the majority of the world, they are already committed to destruction who are not written in the Lamb's Book of Life (Rev. 13:8). He was speaking about the conditions of the world when He returns for His Church. Will He find faith on the earth when He returns for His bride the Church? Yes. However, the conditions in the world at that time marries up with the last three churches from those out of the Seven Letters.
Therefore, it would seem that Christ's question then rings true. The overwhelming majority in the world have rejected Him and His word. Only a small remnant is true to His name. These have little strength and influence in the world at the time of the Rapture. Conclusion I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 The fact that we can also see the clear distinctions in the church today (dead, faithful, apostate) should motivate the believing remnant because these are the stages Jesus told us we would go through. The United States is following Europe's lead in becoming post-Christian very rapidly. As we see more frequently, supposed priests, priestesses, pastors, and other "clergy" are now openly endorsing homosexuality, transgenderism, abortion, pedophilia, open-borders, anti-Semitism, etc. and other anti-Biblical positions with no reprisal. They can only do so because they think they are now in the majority. Meanwhile, their ecumenical lukewarmness has opened the floodgates of other apostate teachings and doctrines of demons. In reality, the only weapon the devil has at his disposal is deception. The world, the universe, are all constructs that God created. For Satan to convince people to reject their Creator, he has to construct false narratives about who we are, where we came from, and where we are going after we die. If you think about it, the devil has to work far harder to keep the truth from bleeding through; then we do exposing it. However, this does not seem very easy at present. Thus, we groan under the oppressive and antagonistic system we are under currently. The fact that we see deception (spiritual, intellectual, technological, etc.) so ramped us as much as we see today, leads to one inescapable conclusion; we are in the final moments of this current age. So while we cannot say conclusively that we have X number of months or years left, we can easily see the light at the end of the tunnel. However, the question will not go away. How much longer? It nags at us. It hounds us. For those who are watching and waiting for His return, it consumes us. As it should. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. Romans 8:20-23 Even So, Maranatha! The Middle East Chess Board: Iran vs Israel - By Michael Oren - http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=2077 While Israel is mired in domestic scandals and coalition crises, the greatest threat the country has known since the eve of the Yom Kippur War--perhaps since the War for Independence--is steadily taking shape. This menace, posed of course by Iran, essentially consists of a wide range of growing threats closing in on us. The Iranians, who invented the game of chess, are exceedingly adept at playing several boards simultaneously, with the winner's prize no less than control of the entire Middle East and beyond. The bottom chessboard is regional. The Iranians cunningly took a step back and allowed the superpowers to destroy their main enemies in the region. The Americans weakened the Taliban and eliminated Saddam Hussein, and, along with Russia, they annihilated the Islamic State group. The Iranians also helped Shiite militias exhaust and chase American forces from Iraq. The resulting vacuum in Iraq and Syria was filled by the Iranians and their proxies. Today, Iran is penetrating deeper across the Middle East and is guiding the Shiite majorities in eastern Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. It has also established a foothold among the Houthis rebels in Yemen. Just several days ago, Bahraini forces thwarted a coup attempt orchestrated by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. At the same time, the Iranians have forged unprecedentedly strong alliances with Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Together with their complete control over Lebanon, the Iranians have laid siege to virtually the entire Middle East. The upper chessboard is the international sphere, where the Iranians have secured a nuclear deal. This achievement grants them all the advantages of military nuclear capabilities without the costs. While Iran doesn't have to fear a military strike on its nuclear facilities, sanctions relief and lucrative business deals have provided the immense funds it uses to realize its regional aspirations. In around 10 years, when the nuclear deal expires, no country will step in to stop Iran if it continues developing nuclear weapons, for fear of squandering its vast investments in the Islamic republic. In the meantime, the Iranians have displayed an incredible capacity to maneuver between Western powers. Thus, for example, during Tehran's rapprochement with Washington under the Obama administration, it also struck a tangible military alliance with Russia, which helped it restore its status as a player in the Middle East. This dexterity is particularly discernible on the main chessboard: Syria. Influence in Syria, which links Tehran to Beirut; and Damascus to Iraq and the Persian Gulf, is a preeminent Iranian interest. In Syria of all places, however, Iran's status is questionable due to the lack of a Shiite population there. Therefore, it is working to cleanse Syria of its Sunni majority and bolster the Alawites, who are essentially an offshoot of Shiite Islam, and their regime. To replace the banished or killed Sunnis, Iran is importing Shiites from across the Middle East from as far as Pakistan and Afghanistan. To this end, the Iranians enlisted Moscow's help and in return agreed to Russia's continued presence in the war-torn country. Through their extensive economic ties with Iran, meanwhile, the Europeans are funding the ethnic cleansing of Syria and inducing the tsunami of refugees reaching their shores. All Iran has to do now is establish a military foothold in Syria to overcome the last obstacle on its path to regional hegemony: Israel. Iran wants to force Israel into a state of perpetual check; in other words, paralysis before death. Surrounded by tens of thousands of missiles held by Hamas and Hezbollah, and in range of the Iranian army's long-range missiles, Israel will struggle to impede Iran from entrenching itself in Syria. When this undertaking culminates, the Iranians will be able to take the Israeli "king" and declare checkmate. This can be prevented. The Israeli government has thus far set clear red lines prohibiting the Iranians from building missile bases and ports in Syria, and from transferring sophisticated weaponry to Hezbollah. These red lines must be stringently enforced, but international support must also be enlisted. Israel has to develop a diplomatic and legal "iron dome" capable of defending us if Israel Defense Forces's soldiers are forced to enter Hezbollah's strongholds in southern Lebanon. The Iranians might be experts at chess, but rest assured, Israel has champions of its own. Nearing Midnight: Spirit of Antichrist Surging - Terry James - http://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ Recently channeling through my TV channels, I heard more than one preacher say that we are to get ready for the "anointing" in these last days. The anointing to which they referred, I found out by listening further, meant, according to the speakers, that a special ability will be placed upon the Church (all within the Body of Christ). The anointing will bring about a great revival and a massive move of the Holy Spirit that will bring a tremendous number of souls to salvation. The preachers I heard didn't say where in the Bible this promised anointing is found. At least I missed it if they did give scriptural references. And that's the problem I have with this last-days great revival I've heard about for years. I can't find a scriptural proof-text that makes such a promise. There are references that there will be many saved during the Tribulation. For example, Revelation 7:9-17 foretells a time when a tremendous multitude of saints will bow before the throne of God along with the angelic billions. John the Revelator is told that these are the martyrs who came out of Great Tribulation. God will wipe away all their tears and will comfort them forever in his majestic presence. There are other references to a multitude of souls being added to God's Kingdom. All such references, however, are to the time following the Church Age. I can find no specific prophecy that there will be either a great end-of-this-age revival, or of a massive number of souls being added because of such a revival. Now, there might come a revival and an addition to the Kingdom of the magnitude these preachers proclaim. But if so, it isn't announced any place in the Bible that I can find. On the other hand, there are prophecies of the times leading up to the Tribulation that tell quite a different story than the prediction of a last-days revival. Jesus, Himself, said that the love of many will grow cold. People will be like they were in the days of Noah and of Lot-i.e., they will be doing evil and thinking only evil thoughts, while business goes on as usual. The Apostle Paul tells us that "evil men and seducers will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived," and that even within the Church, people will be falling for false teachers and doctrines of devils. Not only will these be following "strange winds of doctrine," but they will "heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears." In other words, they won't endure sound doctrine, but will follow fables. Much of this very thing is going on in the world of Christendom even as I write this. Paul lists a litany of the characteristics of end-times man as recorded in 2 Timothy 3. Men will have a "form of godliness" but will "deny the power thereof." Nowhere does Jesus, Paul, or any other of the prophets tell of a time when men would be turning to the Gospel message en masse for the salvation of their souls. John implies that in the last days, the "spirit of Antichrist" will dominate the human condition. Here is what he writes under Holy Spirit direction: 1 John 2:18-Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 1 John 2:22-Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 1 John 4:3-And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 2 John 1:7-For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Many of the largest church assemblies today fit the portrayal of the Laodicean church. These most dramatically manifest their Antichrist spirit through their 1) turning more and more toward universalism, and 2) embracing replacement theology. Universalism is the burgeoning belief system that teaches that there are many ways to God the Father and Heaven. It is a direct turning away from Jesus Christ as the only Way, Truth, and Life (John 14:6). Replacement theology is the satanic lie accepted by more and more so-called mainstream Christian ministries that hold that the Church has replaced Israel as recipient of God's promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This, of course, is a massive part of the very satanic ploy that will ultimately bring all peoples of planet earth to Armageddon. We don't have to hear of ABC's The View host Joy Behar mocking Vice President Mike Pence's hearing Christ speaking to him to know the spirit of Antichrist is surging. Mocking anything and everything to do with the Name of Jesus Christ is rampant, even within much of a large percentage of those who claim Christianity as their spiritual platform. One great example of this is Catholic Pope Francis, who has a number of times proclaimed that there is more than one way to heaven. This is a blatant display of the Antichrist spirit surging in these closing moments of the Age of Grace. Genesis 7:11 (The Israel Bible™) A team of scientists studying diamonds found as far as 500 miles underground has discovered a form of crystallized ice that has never been observed in nature before. The discovery indicates that huge water reserves flow through the earth's mantle in a manner that very much resembles the "Fountains of the Deep" mentioned in the book of Genesis. The team, led by geoscientist Oliver Tschauner from the University of Nevada, investigated crystals that formed inside diamonds, which originated 250-500 miles underground, a region of the earth's mantle known as the "transition zone." The findings were published Thursday in the journal, Science. The researchers discovered crystals were from the type, "ice-VII" that is formed under enormous pressure. The scientists estimated that the transition zone, where minerals are more soluble, holds up to ten times more water than other geologic regions. The samples of the diamonds were collected in China, South Africa and Botswana, suggesting that underground pockets of water can be found all over the world. The ice-VII found in these diamonds was the first scientific evidence of aqueous fluid from the deep mantle. Ice-VII is a solid on the earth's surface but is in liquid form at the depths from which it originates. Dr. Oded Navon, professor of geology at Hebrew University, reviewed the study and was willing to discuss the applicability of the discovery of ice-VII to the Bible on a hypothetical level, concluding that the discovery of ice-VII was not evidence of the "Fountains of the Deep" mentioned in the book of Genesis.. "The study did not find proof of a layer of water under the earth," Professor Navon said to Breaking Israel News. Though Navon does not personally believe that the Bible describes actual historical events, he suggested how the discovery could be read into Biblical stories. "If you believed in the Bible as a description of creation, the water in the earth's mantle would not fit the description of the 'water below.'" Hashem made the expanse, and it separated the water which was below the expanse from the water which was above the expanse. And it was so. Genesis 1:7 "The waters were divided by the 'rakia,' (firmament) which is like a thin layer," the professor said, citing the verse in Genesis. Hashem called the expanse Sky. Genesis 1:8 "The study did suggest the possibility of pockets of water," Dr. Navon said. "If you want to relate this to the Bible, it would fit nicely with the description of the Flood of Noah in which the flood resulted from rain and water from below." Genesis 7:11 Although respectful of religion, Dr. Navon does not believe it has any relevance to his studies. "The Torah is a beautiful Jewish mythology written by people I adore. It undoubtedly has great worth, but it is mythology, especially in relation to nature," he said. "To try to make a connection between the story of creation and science does not bear serious results. There are too many things the Torah does not mention. If God wrote it, he clearly did not intend for us to use it as a scientific manual." Dr. Gerald Schroeder, an Orthodox Jewish physicist with a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), believes the opposite is true; that the new discovery relates to the story of Creation. "There is enough water there to easily flood the earth, but I don't think this is the source of the water for the flood," Dr. Schroeder told Breaking Israel News, explaining his interpretation of the Biblical flood as limited to a specific region. "When the rain fell before the creation of Man, the Hebrew term used is 'pnei ha'adamah (the surface of the earth).'" But a flow would well up from the ground and water the whole surface of the earth. Genesis 2:6 "For the flood in the time of Noah, the words used are 'pnei ha'aretz' (surface of the land)," Dr. Schroeder noted. And on the seventh day the waters of the Flood came upon the earth. Genesis 7:10 "'Ha'adamah' never appears again by itself in the Torah," he noted. "Ha'adamah refers to a global phenomenon, but 'haaretz', as it describes the flood, refers to a regional phenomenon. At the same time, Dr. Schroeder does not believe that the discovery of ice-VII is not relevant to Noah's Flood. "This scientific discovery has nothing to do with a specific region so it has nothing to do with the Biblical flood story," he claimed. "The flood certainly happened, but it did not destroy the entire world." Dr. Schroeder does feel however, that the discovery helps to emphasize the role that water plays in creation. "The word 'shamayim' (heaven) means 'sham mayim' (there is water)," he explained. "Heaven was the first thing God created." Dr. Schroeder feels this Biblical aspect of water is lalso reflected in its physical characteristics. "Water is an essential," he said. "Nature likes water. Hydrogen and oxygen combine very readily. That's why water is everywhere in the universe." This dual explanation, combining religious and scientific concepts, comes naturally to Dr. Schroeder. He sees science and religion as not only compatible but two fields which must necessarily coexist. "People who know a lot about science usually get it wrong when they criticize Torah because they don't know Torah," Dr. Schroeder added. "And vice versa. When people try to cancel out either science or Bible, they bend them, and that's when conflicts occur." After a lifetime of religious and scientific studies, Dr. Schroeder sees the two seemingly divergent disciplines coming closer to each other. "I see these discoveries through the lens of science that is coming closer and closer to seeing the world through the lens of Torah," he said. "After all, science and Torah have the same author." Daily Jot: The Democrat's Farrakhan problem - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) is calling for seven Democratic Members of Congress to resign. They include radical Islamist Congressman and Deputy Chair of the Democratic National Committee, Hakim Mohammed (aka Keith Ellison), Maxine Waters, Barbara Lee, Danny Davis, Andre Carson, Gregory Meeks, and Al Green. RJC Executive Director Matt Brooks said, "(Nation of Islam leader Louis) Farrakhan is the moral equivalent of a leader of the KKK. If it was discovered that members of Congress had met with the leader of the KKK, they would need to resign. In this case, for meeting with, and embracing, Louis Farrakhan, nothing short of resignation is acceptable from these seven Democrats." In response, the Nation of Islam's Executive Council wrote an open letter proving the RJC's point, saying that the RJC represented "White supremacy and the continuing effort to destroy our community... Remember, it was the same Satanic Jews of yesterday that conspired against Jesus and had him killed by the ruling authority of the Roman Empire." The Nation of Islam's website says, "We believe we are people of God's choice." It also declares: "We believe in the truth of the Bible, but we believe that it has been tampered with and must be reinterpreted so that mankind will not be snared by the falsehoods that have been added to it." Yet, the Nation of Islam believes in only one God, allah, who has no son. The Nation of Islam website also calls for: The United States to be divided between Blacks and Whites; all black Believers of Islam to be freed from all prisons; a new nation free from "white courts"; an exemption of black Believers of Islam from all taxation; Free education, including the freedom of Muslim teachers to teach and train their people in their ways; a prohibition on intermarriage or race mixing; Black Believers of Islam not fighting in any American war; and that Master W. Fard Muhammad is "the long-awaited "Messiah" of the Christians and the "Mahdi" of the Muslims." Fard is considered a co-founder of the Nation of Islam and its messiah. Farrakhan also once referred to the immediate ex-"president" as God. The support of Farrakhan by these Members of Congress is the equivalent of the Ku Klux Klan and they should resign. Much of the Democratic Party leadership is fine with Farrakhan otherwise Keith Ellison would not have been elected as the Deputy Chair of the Democratic National Committee. It's also fair to note that history documents incredible ties between the KKK and the Democratic Party, and the Democratic Party's resistance to ending slavery and efforts to resist to the civil rights movement. When people call for the deconstruction of anti-Semitism and racism, a good place to start is the stronghold of political parties. How often are the accusers doing exactly what they accuse others of doing? As Christ said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." Anti-Semitism and racism have no place in our society. Daily Devotion: The H Word! - By Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God. -Acts 20:27 How hard it must be for a doctor to come to a person, who has just had a test, and say, "I'm sorry, but you have cancer." The doctor must tell the truth so the patient can seek the necessary treatment. In the same way it is difficult at times to deliver the whole message of the gospel. The apostle Paul said to the elders at Ephesus, "'I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God' "(Acts 20:27). And we are so excited to say to people, "God loves you. He will give you peace, joy, forgiveness, and the hope of Heaven if you will receive Jesus Christ into your life." But when someone asks, "What will happen when I die if I refuse to believe in Jesus Christ?" we suddenly aren't as excited to share the whole counsel of God. Oftentimes we don't like to say the words Hell and judgment, because people will get offended. So we hide that part of the gospel message. Listen, the word gospel means good news. But before someone can fully appreciate the Good News, they need to know all about the bad news. Jesus did not come to be an additive in our lives. He did not come just to give us warm, fuzzy emotional feelings. Jesus primarily came to deliver us from eternal judgment in Hell. Things like happiness, peace, and joy are fringe benefits. The big issue is eternity. We must not be afraid to tell people the truth. We, like the apostle Paul, need to proclaim the whole counsel of God.
