Some think the danger is understated, and others think it is overstated. I am 80 years old with respiratory issues, and I would really like to know the truth. Dr. Ben Carson, a member of Pres. Trump's Coronavirus Task Force, said it "has the potential to be severe." The key word is "potential." I take that to mean the threat is not great, but the threat could become great. So, it is a tough call, God is in control, and we are in his hands. The development of the Coronavirus is disputed, but I believe this to be true: the Coronavirus has spread from China to 80 or more nations, from no reported cases to more than 114,000 confirmed cases, and from one death to more than 4,000 confirmed deaths. The deception is great, and there is good reason to question the accuracy of these statistics. But who could have imagined the business district of some of the world's largest cities suddenly turned into ghost towns with empty streets and no pedestrian traffic; hundreds of planes, trains and busses with very few passengers almost overnight; thousands of prisoners being released from jail for their own protection; businesses with a "no mask, no service" policy; a two-package limit on how much toilet tissue a customer can buy; Israel banning tour groups and asking tourists to leave; restaurants and hotels facing bankruptcy in just a matter of days, etc.? As incredible as it sounds, these things are happening in various parts of the world today. They world has changed a great deal almost overnight. On Mar. 2, 2020, the White House released a photo of Vice Pres. Mike Pence bowing his head in prayer at a coronavirus task force team meeting. Pence was strongly criticized for praying, and some called it useless. Who can blame God for letting the coronavirus spread among people that criticize prayer and think it is worthless? Rev. Franklin Graham thanked Vice Pres. Pence and asked others to join them in prayer. The U.S. needs prayer; and if enough of God's people will pray, a solution can be found for this crisis. God can bring good out of all things, and good can come from this crisis (Rom. 8:28). It has been reported that 80% of the medicine and 97% or more of the antibiotics that are used in the U.S. are made in China. It has also been reported that China has said if the U.S. boycotts products made in China, the Chinese will stop the sale of medicines, antibiotics, masks, etc. to the U.S. The fact that most of America's antibiotics are made in China and that nation is willing to stop the shipment of those medicines to the U.S. during a crisis means the U.S. is in trouble. This is one result of outsourcing our jobs and globalism. It is blackmail, a threat to our way of life and something our nation badly needs to reverse. On Mar. 2, 2020. Pres. Trump said the U.S. needs to manufacture the medicines and supplies that are used in the U.S. in our own nation. He said the U.S. started working on this about a year ago and because of some of the policies he has already implemented, some companies have already started working on manufacturing our medicines in our own country; but we need to carry through on that. Perhaps God is blessing America and we didn't know it. Finally, globalists, China, the U.S. Federal Reserve and others have started using the fact that the coronavirus can live for several days on paper money to promote a cashless society. Some banks are sanitizing money before it is distributed to help prevent the spread of the virus. There have even been reports that China burned paper money to destroy the virus. Some are urging people to use digital money whenever possible. Many Bible prophecy teachers believe the Antichrist and False Prophet will promote a cashless society to track all buying and selling. If the coronavirus becomes severe, it will still be a little crisis compared to the dangers of a cashless society. The cashless society will wind up killing more than the coronavirus. Iran's Coronavirus Cover-up - by Majid Rafizadeh - https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/15744/iran-coronavirus-coverup The Iranian regime continues to decline taking appropriate measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus that is not only threatening the Iranian population but also people across the region. During a meeting with Ireland's Prime Minister Leo Varadkar at the White House, President Donald J. Trump offered to help the Iranian authorities fight the coronavirus, but Iranian authorities rejected the offer as "hypocritical" and "repulsive". "We do not need American doctors," Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said. Iran, in its interactions with China, has apparently become a global center for the virus. The head of one hospital in Tehran's Yaftabad said on March 1: "If we had limited the travel of people in Qom, since the epicenter of the illness is in Qom, the spread would not have been so extensive... our mistake was that when we discovered that the contamination is in the city of Qom, we should have quarantined the people there and prevented its spread. If we had done so, the virus would not have spread." Nahid Khodakarami, head of the Health Commission of the Tehran City Council, said recently: "Two weeks ago, I told Dr. Iraj Harirchi and even Dr. Nobakht [head of the parliamentary Health Committee] that Qom must be quarantined, but they did not listen. There must be restrictions placed on Qom... If we had not given priority to the concerns of the clerics, we would have been in a much better situation." Massoud Pezeshkian, an Iranian reformist politician, pointed out: "We should have quarantined Qom from day one. ... This disease is not a joke, which is the way we are dealing with it... The economy and everything will be ruined; it is no joke. What would have happened if they shut down the country for 15 days? If we had done so on the first day, it would not have spread...." The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Iran's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) have taken charge of dealing with the coronavirus by cracking down on any individual or institution that attempts to reveal accurate information about the origins of the virus or how Iran has become an epicenter of the virus which spreads to other nations. Agents of the IRGC and MOIS are reportedly present at hospitals, attending meeting among medical staff, and informing them what they are allowed to reveal and what they are banned from disclosing to the public, the media and the international community. The head of the Health Commission of the Tehran City Council, for example, Nahid Khoda Karami, recently disclosed how she was approached by the IRGC: "Yesterday, I said that in Tehran it is possible that 10,000 people have been infected with coronavirus. The IRGC intelligence unit called me and complained. They asked, why did you provide this number? I said, sir, how long are you going to cover this up? These numbers are being talked about in society and my saying it calms the situation. Let's be transparent with the people. We shouldn't make this disease a security matter. You don't need to call me and ask me why I divulge some figures. I merely provided some experts' opinions. The IRGC intelligence official told me that I should refer the matter to the Health Ministry. I said, OK, we should increase the pressure on the Health Ministry to be more transparent and to openly express themselves and tell people the facts; otherwise our reputation in the world will be eroded." The regime has also threatened to imprison people who provide news about the actual scope of the crisis. Hassan Nowrouzi, the Speaker of the Judiciary Committee of the Parliament, said on February 26 that those who "disseminate fake news regarding coronavirus" will be sentenced from one to three years of imprisonment, and lashes. Even some of Iran's newspapers surprisingly pointed to the restrictions that have been imposed on them concerning what they can report on the virus and what they cannot. The state-run daily Ressalat, for instance, wrote: "With regards to the number of infected nurses, we cannot release any figures. The statistics are completely security related and cannot be revealed. Even the heads of hospitals might not know the number of coronavirus victims. Even if a victim goes to the hospital, the statistics are not given to the hospital supervisor. There is a special private channel and no one but the Health Ministry officials are aware of the numbers." Meanwhile, according to reports, for the Iranian New Year, Nowruz, which begins on March 20, Iran has "temporarily freed" 70,000 prisoners who are said to have tested negative for the virus. Some "wrongfully detained" prisoners, such as activists and journalists, who according to Human Rights Watch, "should not have been in prison in the first place," were released; others, who may or may not have contracted the virus, have not. Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who is also a British citizen, has said she contracted the virus in Evin Prison, but apparently has not been tested. With their incompetence and attempts to cover up the truth about the coronavirus in Iran, the ruling mullahs have been posing a threat wider than to just its own citizens. Pakistan, for example, which initially left open its nearly 600-mile border with Iran to avoid further damage to its economy, is now trying, among other problems, to track down nearly 8,000 pilgrims who recently returned home from Iran. On March 15, according to Asharq al Awsat, officials at Iran's Health Ministry announced the latest death toll as 724, with the number of people tested positive at 13,938. Satellite images are reportedly showing coronavirus victims' mass graves, large enough to be seen from space. Rabbi Warns Vatican: Return Temple Vessels or Corona-Virus in Rome Worsens - By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz - www.breakingisraelnews.com "All this, O king, Araunah gives to Your Majesty. And may Hashem your God," Araunah added, "respond to you with favor!" II Samuel 24:23 (The Israel Bible™) As the COVID-19 crisis worsens worldwide, the Nation of Israel requests that the Vatican immediately return to Jerusalem the Temple vessels that have been stored in Rome for nearly 2000 years. Rabbi Levi Sudri, an award-winning Bible expert, noted that a divine message must surely be contained within the coronavirus. "It is clear to everyone that we are living in powerful times," Rabbi Sudri said. "It is our responsibility to understand what God wants from us. We have no prophets today, so we need to do our best to understand." Rabbi Sudri pointed out that the coronavirus began in China and very quickly took hold of Italy in a counter-intuitive manner. "What is the connection between China and Italy?" Rabbi Sudri asked. "They are geographically distant from each other. That is true but they have a spiritual connection in that they are both centers of two different types of idolatry." Italy is, in fact, the country with the second-largest outbreak of coronavirus outside of China with over 21,000 cases reported and over 1,400 deaths. The country's healthcare system has been overwhelmed by the sudden spike of COVID-19 cases, despite a week-long lockdown of the entire nation in an attempt to slow the spread of the virus. "In Daniel's vision, he spoke of the feet of the idol which is Rome" Rabbi Sudri explained, noting that the distinctive boot shape of Italy hints at this Biblical reference and is referred to in Hebrew as ארץ המגף (eretz hamagaf; land of the boot). Rabbi Sudri noted that the word מגף (magaf; boot) shares the same root as the word מגיפה (magefa; epidemic). "The word 'corona' means crown and that is precisely the issue," Rabbi Sudri said. "Rome stole the crown from Israel, the utensils from the Temple, so they are being struck by the crown virus." Josephus Flavius, a first-century Roman-Jewish scholar of priestly descent, reported that the Temple artifacts were indeed taken to Rome and placed in Vespasian's Temple of Peace, completed in 75 CE. Since that time, there have been several unverified sightings of the Menorah in the Vatican, but most are second-hand or anecdotal claims that point fingers without providing actual proof. In the second half of the 12th century, a Spanish Jew known as Benjamin of Tudela made a tour of the known world, traveling as far east as Mesopotamia. He claims in his journal that the Jews of Rome knew that the Temple vessels were hidden in a cave in the Vatican. "This is a historic opportunity to bring the world to its rightful state and to stop the Coronavirus from devastating humanity. The response of the global political, medical, and scientific communities in the face of the present pandemic is noble and necessary. We ask the Vatican to enable the Nation of Israel to do its true part, beyond the development of vaccines and the effecting of quarantines in which Israel is already engaged. Restoration of the Temple services will crown the Rock and Redeemer of Israel, thus completing the efforts needed to bring about the historic change that humanity now seeks." Rabbi Sudri also made his request in Italian. Questi sono i momenti storici" Rabbi Sudri noted that the plague is focusing on religious centers. "Italy is, of course, the crown of Catholicism, and has been hit very hard by the coronavirus," Rabbi Sudri noted. "But also Iran, the head of Shia Islam has been hit equally as hard. And in Israel, the focus seems to be Bethlehem, the focus of Christianity." Rabbi Sudri noted an internal reason for the coronavirus to strike Israel. "We are warned in the Bible not to count the Jews lest we bring upon ourselves a plague," Rabbi Sudri said. "Due to excessive elections, we have counted Israel, not once but three times." "In addition, the Jews have to return the crown to Jerusalem," Rabbi Sudri said, noting that Netanyahu made a political decision to deny the right of Jews to pray on the Temple Mount. "Instead of the proper crown, a Jewish Temple, there is the Dome of the rock, a modern day larger-than-life replica of the Golden Calf."` It should be noted that on Sunday, the Waqf (Muslim authority) ordered the silver-domed al Aqsa Mosque and the gold-domed Dome of the Rock closed until further notice. Jews are still visiting their holiest site; the Temple Mount. Only to Steal, Kill, and Destroy - By Gene Lawley - https://www.raptureready.com/2020/03/15/only-to-steal-kill-and-destroy-by-gene-lawley/ That title is the description for the scenario of all that is going on in our world today, especially here in America. The sense of that may be more prevalent because we live right with it and are not looking at the trends of social and cultural changes from afar off. Nevertheless, the whole world is pointing to a climax totally unexpected. Only in the Holy Scriptures can one find the prospects of our future, and for those who are not aligned rightly with God...it is not a pleasing sight. The title of this article comes from John 10:10, which says, "The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy, but I [Jesus] am come that they may have life and have it more abundantly." The thief is the devil, and he is purposely attempting to destroy the human race in an affront to the God of the universe. The warfare has run since well before time began, even in the leader of all of the holy angels which God had created. He only wanted more power, to be like God, even to replace Him on His throne. Having been denied that privilege, he has been, for centuries, attempting to deny God the glory that is meant for Him. Look at the story of Job, the oldest account in the Bible, perhaps nineteen hundred years before the coming of Christ. He told God that Job would deny Him if he were given freedom to do what he wanted with Job. And God replied, "Take him, then, but spare his life." You can find this in the first two chapters of the book of Job. Job was not consulted on this arrangement; however, in the end, he proved faithful to God and frustrated the plan of the devil. How is this repeating itself, and more, in these last days of the ages? The whole arena of facets of the sexual revolution are clearly in line with the devil's desire to corrupt God's highest creation, that one creation that was in His own image, and shame God before the universe with what that greatest creation had become. The absolute confusion this sexual revolution has developed into is totally astounding. There seems to be no end to the changes to what society is expected to make in order to pacify the demands of the perverted element among the population. They demand tolerance toward themselves, yet at the same time are intolerant of "straight" people. In the education systems of our nation reside much of the promotion of the sexual revolution. That is where the youngest, the innocent and most vulnerable victims are targeted. It seems that school boards and local governmental bodies are toppling like a row of dominoes, bowing to the wishes of the LBGTQ crowd, lest they be charged with intolerance and discrimination. It is a fearful sight. Two times in past history are specially marked by Jesus as significant instances that picture how things will be at the time of His coming in that special redeeming of His own born-again believers, the time called the rapture, the snatching away of those who have trusted Him. It is in Luke 17:26-30, in respect to the comparison of events in those days and localities and in the whole world with that of today's world: "And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise, as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed." Noah and Lot were not taken away to judgment, for judgment happened to those left behind on the earth; and thus, as it was then, so it will be when Jesus comes to meet His own in the air. As we see our society and culture going from bad to worse, this Scripture causes me to wonder how far the degradation will go. Does the measure of sinfulness have to come to full saturation, as it was in the days of Noah and of Lot, while at the same time the activities of people will continue just as before? In those days of Noah, the whole world was sinful to its core, for Genesis 6:5 tells us so: "Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." And then Jesus enlarges that observation in the Luke passage to show how the people were living their daily lives while in such degradation. It reminds one of the activities of the Israeli people when Moses was with the Lord on Mount Sinai for forty days, receiving the tablets of the law. They appealed to Aaron to make a god for them to worship, and he responded with a golden calf that just "appeared out of the fire." When Moses came down to them, they had worshipped the golden calf, then rose up to eat and drink and play. It is a picture of total loss of a sense of responsibility for moral conduct. Further in the Luke passage, Jesus identifies the condition of the citizens of Sodom where Lot remained in the midst of a total saturation in moral degradation. Genesis 19:4-5 tells of their condition: "Now before they lay down [to sleep], the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. And they called to Lot and said to him, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally." It is not difficult to see the conditions in our culture today. The sexual revolution and gender manipulation frenzy are totally fixated on sexual activities. A man, born genetically as a male individual, wants to think of himself as a woman, or a woman, so also born, has the parallel mindset, can never be what they think. Their DNA will always identify them as a man or a woman, from birth to death. They will have lived their lives as a total lie. Some may claim it is impossible to be "straight" if God has set them up to be "gay." That is why "the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding" (Proverbs 9:10b), for one knowing who Jesus really is would realize He would not condone or "ordain" anyone to a live of moral degradation and sinfulness. Hebrews 4:15 tells us that "We do not have a high priest who cannot be touched with our infirmities but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin." And the Apostle Paul declared his constant struggle with the evils of this world-in his old nature. In Romans 7:24-25 he writes this and tells us how his determination turned his will to submission to the Lord and not the flesh: "O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God-through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I, myself, will serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin." How clearly the Apostle identifies the constant warfare within the believer between the spirit of the new-born believer and that Adam-defiled body that is doomed for the grave to return to the dust from which it was made! Paul says, "with my mind-the place of the will-I, myself, will serve the law of God." He identifies his real person, "myself," as the one who will submit to the law of God. That old man troubling him is already dead, essentially. He writes of this fact and how a believer needs to respond to it in Romans 6:11 and 14: "Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord...for sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace." In the days of Noah, the whole world was declared fully saturated with sin and rebellion, but in Lot's day, it was just one locality, Sodom and Gomorrah, that were totally destroyed under God's judgment. Could it happen again? As a matter of fact, it has happened again, perhaps not for the same reason, but possibly so. Early one morning in AD 79, the citizens of Pompeii, Italy, and nearby communities were totally inundated with ash and other debris from the nearby eruption of Mt. Vesuvius, an ancient volcano. It was finished in 48 hours. What further research might reveal remains to be seen, but we do know that the justness of the Creator does not deal harshly with those who are even the least turned toward righteousness. Peter writes of Lot that he was a righteous man, yet his life does not give us encouragement in that direction. It is true, however, that God does honor the smallest flicker of positive response to His offer of forgiveness. In Isaiah 42:3 and again in Matthew 12:20, Jesus says He will not "break a bruised reed nor quench a smoking flax till He sends forth justice to victory." What this says to me, and I trust also to the reader, is that He does not demean or diminish the least flicker of faith that shows up in a person. That is the case with Lot; his righteousness is not readily visible, yet God knew his heart, and so does He know ours. At the end it is not the measure of our faith that makes the difference, for the Scriptures say, "If we believe not, yet He abides faithful, for He cannot deny Himself" (2 Timothy 2:13). Finally, in the incessant drive to maintain and even increase abortions for any reason, or no reason, we can see the handiwork of Satan who seeks in all things to "only steal, kill, and destroy" everything which shows the hand of God in creation and was declared "good" when He finished it. The future of mankind has two facets. In Romans 8:28 it says, "All things work together for good to those who love God and who are the called according to His purpose." For those "who love God," it will be great, but for those who do not love God, it will be total doom and disaster. We have seen just how small the world is. Humanity is globally connected in this 21st Century. What happens in China can determine what happens in Ohio, or even in a small rural community in Africa. We can see how quickly devastation, panic, economic disaster, sickness and death can occur. If it gets worse and worse, we could see how nations can rise up against nations and how famines and wars could quickly develop. The tighter food and medical supplies become, the more likely the love of many shall wax cold. Neighbor could turn against neighbor, family member against family member. This is prophetic. Christ warned in Matthew 24 and Luke 22 about events leading up to his return. He said in Matthew 24:6-8, "And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." He goes on to say that many shall be offended, there will be many false prophets that will deceive many, the love of many shall wax cold, and in verse 13, he says, "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." In 2005, I documented in my book "Warshod-living victoriously in the end times" that in the previous 100 years, small pox killed 300 million people, and influenza millions. In 1918, for example, a worldwide flu epidemic attacked about 20% of the global population, leaving some 50 million dead, 675,000 deaths in the US. Do you not think that those who were alive then believed the end times were upon them? Interesting that one of the three main theories of the origin of the 1918 flu virus is China. In a 14-year period from 1991-2005, I documented that earthquake frequency had increased 88%, and that in the 1900s, 165 wars and tyrannies contributed to 180 million deaths-100 million attributed to communism. This was a 125% increase in war-related deaths over the previous century. Famine follows war. Many scare-monger preachers may be trying to say that China's coronavirus is one of the bowl judgments in Revelation. It is not. Read your Bible. The bowl judgments come AFTER the beast (antichrist) has taken control in the last 3 ½ years of Jacobs Troubles, commonly referred to as the Tribulation. We have not seen such a figure as yet. We can, however, through this virus example, see how the entire world can be impacted by a single event and how a leader might arise. Our response-First, as Christ said, do not be deceived. Second, this is an opportunity, not to place blame and be angry, but to show the love of Christ to others. Bond together. Help one another. Pray for one another. Have empathy. Do not fear. He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked. -Psalm 97:10 We might think that love and hate cannot coexist. But hatred of evil is the other side of love. If I love what God loves, then I will hate what God hates. Psalm 97:10 says, "You who love the Lord, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked" (NLT). And when the apostle Paul wrote in Romans 12:9, "Hate what is wrong" (NLT), the term he used for hate could be translated "be horrified." I'm concerned that evil doesn't horrify us anymore. We see certain things and say, "Well, what can you do?" And we become somewhat tolerant of it. I think God's words to His people through the prophet Jeremiah are true of us today: "They don't even know how to blush!" (Jeremiah 6:15 NLT). Not only should we hate evil, but we should also go to great lengths to avoid even the very appearance of evil. If we really love God and love others, then we will hate evil and adhere to what is good. This conveys the idea of holding on willingly. It isn't reactive but proactive. We choose to do it. It's a little like climbing the face of a cliff. You're holding on; you're clinging to it. We should cling to what is good in the same way. We hold on to it, but at the same time we hate what is evil. Thomas Chalmers, a 19th-century Scottish minister, called this "the expulsive power of a new affection." The idea is that if we love God more than anyone or anything else, that new affection overpowers our former affection for things that were destructive to us. Let's stay away from evil influences and embrace what will strengthen us.
