Prophecy in Church - By Dennis Huebshman -
https://www.raptureready.com/2019/03/27/prophecy-church-dennis-huebshman/ One of the main issues that is missing in most mainline churches today is prophesy messages about end times. Besides giving us the Gospel (Good News) about the pathway to salvation, there are many verses in both testaments that give insight as to what is coming. We know these to be true as a large volume of prophecy has already been fulfilled, and what lies ahead is pointed out for us. If the Father had not wanted us to be aware of what will take place, He wouldn't have made it available for us to study. The fact that Jesus, Paul, John and others in the New Testament made reference to this is an indicator that it should be important to us. Daniel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Zechariah and others gave us prophecy about the coming Messiah, and also what would be happening at the end of the age. The books of Daniel and Revelation give us information about the coming antichrist, and what the tribulation will bring. So-called Palestinians want everyone to believe otherwise, but the declaration of Israel being an independent nation on May 14, 1948, was a major step in the end-time direction. Amos 9:15 says the Israelites will once again be back in their land, never to be removed again. Isaiah 11:10-12 tells of them being regathered from the four corners of the earth. That action continues today. One of the signs today is the turning away from the truth, and it is spreading through the evangelical world. In 1 John 2, we're warned that there will be false prophets and antichrists that will actually increase in activity from what it was in the first century. They are preparing the way for the final antichrist. Are there churches today who are accepting alternate lifestyles that God called an abomination? Absolutely. God does not change His mind about something He hates. Those who are giving such messages will definitely be "judged more strictly" as given in James 3:1. Verses in the word of the Lord are being taken out of context, and distorted to fit what the false prophets want you to hear. There are those who will say that we all worship the same god, and also that there are many ways to heaven without Jesus. How about, the church has replaced God's chosen people? All the above are as false as the day is long. John 14:6, "Jesus said, 'I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.'" God has not turned away from Israel, and Genesis 12:3 still stands: "I will bless those who bless you, but the one who dishonors you, I will curse; and in you, all the families of the earth will be blessed." Romans 11:25, "Lest you be wise in your own sight, I want you to understand this mystery, brothers; a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in." The Father knew that, even after He started bringing Israel back to their land, they would mostly be unbelievers. He has protected them from the moment of the announcement on May 14, 1948, all the way to today. By all rights, having been attacked by so many, they should have been annihilated at the very start. As it is, they have defeated all who have tried, and have become a force to be reckoned with. There is another major war on the horizon where they should be defeated; however, God Himself will take care of them in that one (Ezekiel 38/39). The coalition for this conflict is in place for the first time in history. God's hand in every aspect of this is obvious for those who have an open mind. Once the "church age" ends at the Rapture, all true believing Christians from all over the world will be gone. God will then turn His attention onto His people; and by the end of the tribulation, they will accept Jesus as their Messiah. The 1%-2% of Messianic Jews that are present today will be in the group that gets taken up to meet Jesus in the air. They will be spared from the discipline and misery of the wrath. All this information is available in the Bible. Sad part is, rather than studying for themselves, people would rather attend "entertaining" services with catchy music and ear-tickling messages. They "give" their hour or two to the Lord each week, and believe they are heaven-bound. Pastors that are false prophets know what messages to present and what to leave out. Their goal is to keep seats and collection plates full. When people feel good, they keep coming back. Meanwhile, people are starving for the truth. One well-known pastor that has an online prophecy segment every week said they receive calls and emails regularly from all over the country. People are asking if they can recommend a church in their area that teaches prophecy. By his own words, those churches are rare. Meanwhile, the mega-churches keep growing because of fancy productions. Jesus talked about the two paths, and the one to Him is the "straight and narrow" (Matthew 7:13-14). He had no illusions about the number that would truly accept Him vs the ones that are earth-oriented. People are so taken with Satan's lies that they refuse to look at the eternal picture in comparison with the short lifespan here. This world is but a blink of an eye compared to forever, yet the majority is blind to this. We should all understand we are "in the season," even if we don't know the exact day or hour of the Savior's return. There are talks right now of a peace agreement between Israel and all the nations around it. I am in no way saying this is the agreement that introduces the antichrist and sets off the tribulation, but it is a step closer. For the antichrist to appear, we must be gone (Raptured). 2 Thessalonians 2:3, "Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed; the son of destruction." 2 Thessalonians 2:7, "For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work Only He (Holy Spirit) who now restrains it will do so until He is out of the way." For anyone to absolutely be certain of avoiding the tribulation, we must accept Jesus as our Savior before that time. At that moment of the Rapture, whether dead or alive, we will be taken off this earth to be with Him from then on. Brand-new bodies meant to last forever will be ours. All that is needed is to ask Jesus to be our Savior and truly accept His gift of Grace and Mercy. He will forgive our sins, and have the Holy Spirit live within us. We are then "marked" as His for all eternity. To wait could be a very fatal mistake. It will be extremely difficult to be saved during the 7-year Wrath. It will be possible, but almost an assurance of martyrdom. Escape all the drama. Call on Jesus today (Acts 4:12; Acts 2:21; Romans 10:9-13) and receive the "eternal life" assurance. Maranatha! bdhuebshman@sbcglobal.net Gaza Time Bomb Keeps Ticking, As Both Sides Delay The Explosion - By Yaakov Lappin - http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=3089 Few events better illustrate the need for the Israel Defense Forces' policy of zero-tolerance to attempted Palestinian intrusions from Gaza than the capture earlier this month of two armed men near Kibbutz Erez, located just north of the Gaza Strip. On March 8, IDF soldiers responding to a border intrusion alert from Gaza caught the two suspects, who were armed with grenades and knives. They were just a few minutes away were from Kibbutz Erez, where children play soccer in the fields. The armed suspects turned out to be operatives affiliated to the Iranian-backed Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror faction, which has amassed a rocket arsenal in Gaza that is even bigger than that of Hamas. Collectively, the Gazan rocket arsenal surpasses 20,000 projectiles. The armed intruders arrived on a Friday, when Hamas organizes weekly mass border riots. During these events, Hamas sends thousands of people towards the border with Israel. Small teams of armed terrorists then try to use the civilian rioters as human shields, approaching the border fence to attempt intrusions. On Saturday, during "Land Day," Hamas organized some 40,000 Palestinians and sent them to the border, but this time, it made a bigger effort than usual to prevent many of them from approaching the fence. The reason for this uncharacteristic caution: Hamas is waiting to see whether Israel accepts some of its demands. This caution has not extended to rocket strikes on southern Israel, which continues into civilian areas. For the past year, Hamas has employed weekly protests called the "March of Return" as an extortion technique to pressure Israel into allowing more funds and infrastructure projects into Gaza. Israel, for its part, wants to assist Gazan civilians, who are essentially being held hostage by their regime, but is also keen to avoid a situation in which Hamas exploits any new agreement to build up its military wing, rocket arsenal and tunnel network. Already, the factions in Gaza are better armed than they were in 2014 and have an array of domestic weapons' production sites. Iran pays for this arms build-up and shares know-how in the manufacturing of rockets. Yet Hamas remains deterred by the idea of an all-out war with Israel and instead seeks a way to save Gaza from implosion--to save its regime from a popular revolt and to do this without going to war. It has found the halfway tactic of "controlled escalations" to do this. A year ago, Hamas quickly seized on the idea of "return marches." It was keen to take control of a movement that otherwise could have turned into a threat against its own rule and use it to extort Israel. Hamas's total control of these weekly protests is unmissable and comes in the form of grenade attacks, IED border attacks and the cynical use of minors to plant bombs on the border fence. Using children as a military tool is just one of many of Hamas's tricks. The Gazan regime also sends women to roll tires to the border fence, and then sends children to set them on fire, creating a smokescreen designed to allow Gazan youths to approach the border fence and cut it open. Hamas has instructed rioters to rush through such openings in the border fence, so it can inject small groups of operatives armed with grenades, knives and handguns. Their mission: head to nearby Israeli villages, located just a few hundred meters from the border. Within three minutes, these terror squads can be at the entrances of Israeli villages. Some 60,000 Israelis live in the vicinity of the Gaza Strip, where they engage in agriculture and live out their lives, as the IDF works day and night to defend their safety. Instead of working together with Gazans on joint agricultural initiatives, southern Israelis must face rockets, mortars, tunnels, arson, and balloons and kites that carry explosive devices over the border, which the IDF rushes to neutralize before children pick them up. Hamas has not gotten away with this "controlled" aggression without paying a price. In the past 12 months, the Israeli Air Force struck hundreds of Hamas targets in Gaza, destroying a portion of the military wing's infrastructure, rocket depots, bases, headquarters and military posts. Hamas has accumulated a large proportion of damage that will cost it dearly to rebuild. None of these events have so far changed Hamas's basic problems: It risks losing control of Gaza, as civilians find the courage to publicly condemn its failings and have started protesting the low quality of living. Hamas makes half a billion dollars a year just from taxes it imposes on goods entering Gaza from Egypt, but most of that money goes to the military wing, not to Gaza's people. Likewise, Iran's annual assistance package goes to the military wings of Hamas and PIJ. Hamas may be well-armed, but it remains isolated, exposed to Egyptian pressure, and it is in a state of unending conflict with its chief internal rival, Fatah. Its rule in Gaza is also tested by the other armed factions, chief among them, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which can "employ" the Israeli Air Force to strike Hamas by launching rockets on their own initiative. Unclear how long Hamas can rely on current tactics The less stable situation for Hamas, the more it will seek to divert aggression outwards--in Israel's direction--and the chances for armed conflict will increase. Hamas's answer to this paradox is to sacrifice the Gazan population and rally them under its flag by inciting them against the old familiar enemy of Israel. It remains unclear how much longer Hamas will be able to rely on this tactic. Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas has cut the budget for Gaza by around 30 percent. Egypt is working hard to stabilize the situation, but the Egyptians are not exactly fans of the concept of a Muslim Brotherhood regime holding power on their border. Israel is systematically destroying Hamas's cross-border tunnels, in which Hamas has invested huge resources, like cement, into building, instead of investing in housing for Gazans. And Hamas continues to fire rockets indiscriminately into Israeli civilian areas with the intention of killing. Israel, for its part, carefully picks out every enemy target, looking to reduce collateral damage to the absolute minimum. The central question now is how much longer this situation can continue. The two main scenarios appear to be either a broader Israeli military campaign in response to a new Hamas escalation or a long-term truce that will see Gaza receive large-scale international funds and infrastructure development programs, thereby saving the Hamas regime. Israel sees an improvement of the humanitarian situation in Gaza as its own security interest, but only if this occurs without strengthening Hamas's military and terrorism capabilities. So far, the formula for doing that has been elusive. In the meantime, Hamas's unending terrorism against Israelis and war of attrition on the western Negev continues. Its only achievement so far has been to put Gaza back at the top of the agenda in Israel and in the international community. The Gazan time bomb continues to tick. As the region waits to see whether diplomacy succeeds, the IDF stands ready at the Gazan border with four brigades, a large build-up of armored vehicles and infantry, and an air force that is on high alert. In today' Middle East, war can erupt even when neither side desires it, with the smallest incident or miscalculation snowballing into an armed conflict. Israel, however, is far stronger than Hamas, and should a new conflict erupt, the regime will pay a very heavy price. Nearing Midnight - Terry James - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ Our weekly commentaries on raptureready.com are written under the heading "Nearing Midnight." There can be no better column title for Bible prophecy, in my view, in consideration of the gush of issues and events flooding upon this generation of Planet Earth's inhabitants. The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists' "Doomsday Clock," although an often-specious mélange spewed at us in order to persuade the world to accept globalist sophistry, is on the mark unknowingly. The minute hand is indeed nearing the midnight hour, according to issues and events moving forward under the template of Bible prophecy. All we must do to see the nearness of midnight is to skim over headline matters appearing simultaneously at this very hour. Time Ticks On Culturally and Socially The Apostle Paul's "perilous times" foretelling stares us in the face every time we watch the news. The prophecies contained within 2 Timothy 3 cannot be missed by those spiritually attuned to the apostle's forewarnings. As a society, we have become a people steeped deeply in self love. We are turned inward more and more, lost in our devices with the selfies and all other things that draw us into our inner sanctums. America's divorce rate-most often with selfishness at its heart-stands at the center of the problems involving this indicator the Apostle Paul gave as that which will characterize mankind at the end of the age. All that's necessary to see that we are a generation ripe with those who are covetous, boasters, and proud is to consider the political process and those involved. And, yes, this cuts across all political ideologies and parties. One party in particular, however, exhibits a specific indicator Paul gives in characterizing end-time man. Blasphemy has been made the very benchmark of this political party. We remember that, during the lead-up to the 2016 presidential nominating process, the Democrat Party gave a voice vote to remove the mention of God from their political platform. The politically wise moderator ignored the "yea" voice votes of the raucous attendees who wanted to throw God out and declared the much less vocal "nays" had won the vote. Despite that politically expedient vote obfuscation, this party has become the champion of same-sex marriage, homosexual and transgender causes, and the murder of babies, even after infants have survived the abortion process. They are a people devoted to blasphemous ideology and exhibit that they are without natural affection by advocating the killing of the most innocent among us while in the mothers' wombs. These are indeed unthankful and unholy in their comportment. Their mantras fly in the face of the Creator. What God declares to be the natural order, they turn upside down in practically every instance. They are more and more manifesting the degeneration into the reprobate mindset forewarned Romans 1. Time Ticks On Geopolitically Observers of these times in light of Bible prophecy have pointed time after time to the nearness of the midnight hour. They might not use the term "nearing Midnight," but the observation is there. They consistently blow the siren of alarm. Every signal is front and center that Christ is about to call the Church to Himself. The things we harp on most stringently are things involving the geopolitical world of issues and events. The American political process has been a most fertile ground for analytically plowing through these issues that are flooding every news cycle. Again, the Apostle Paul gave what most believe were prophetic utterances for this specific hour. His declaration includes that men will be truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those who are good, traitors, heady, and high-minded. The last two years have brought to the forefront each of these characteristics, at least in my view. Despite all of these nefarious intrigues by those trying to bring down a presidency, nothing significant enough to do so was found. This shows the evil and insidious nature of those who seem to possess "perilous times" traits. The Lord-again in my view-has been the restraining influence in preventing things from going the way of the globalists elite. The prayers of His saints, imploring His intervention, is key, I have no doubt. The Lord of Heaven has continued to intervene to prevent the collapse of America for His own purposes. This is important because the rest of the world is intricately linked to this nation. A collapse of the US economy would surely bring about world collapse. I am convinced God's purposes for preventing collapse at this time have at their center the desire to bring as many to salvation as will come to Christ. When the Church-all born-again believers-go to be with Christ, the Restrainer will remove from that supernatural office and all will come crashing down. Time Ticks On Economically And, make no mistake, this nation and world will suffer a colossal crash once the Church leaves this world. None will be more catastrophic than that of the economic realm. Economic experts are baffled as to why the level of debt and other unprecedented, existential fiscal factors haven't already collapsed the financial order because of the great weight involved. With America's national debt at more than $21.1 trillion and its extrapolated debt at more than $150 trillion, normal, monetary principles should have long ago kicked in, causing catastrophic collapse. Again, the experts can't understand what is holding things in place. That is because God is never figured into the equation for the inexplicable holding pattern this world is experiencing. Time Ticks On Religiously We witness daily the defection of even some evangelical Christians from scriptural truth. They seem to want to follow Pope Francis into the abyss of Laodicean apostasy. Most illustrative of this defection is the betrayal of Israel. Many have become almost anti-Semitic in their anti-Israel biases. They sign onto the effort to treat the Jewish state as anathema in matters of international commerce, despite the fact that Israel is one of the most vibrant economies on the planet in every respect. There is a religious fervor against the Jews developing in practically every nation on earth. The United Nations is almost completely comprised of Jew-hating nations. In America, the many Democrat Party presidential candidates refused to attend the annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPC) meetings. This is because the Democrat base is now made up of young people who almost as one champion the Palestinian causes and see Israel as responsible for all the problems in the Middle East. Thankfully, this president is a strong supporter of Israel and defends its right to the Golan Heights, recently declaring that militarily essential, elevated, territory to belong to the Jewish state. This has set the Muslim world and most of the diplomatic world into frenzy. While the stated frenzy is based upon political anger, the actual root of it all is religious. Satan hates Israel...the world hates Israel. This is how God's prophetic Word said it would be at exactly this time so near the midnight hour of the age. The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. (Zechariah 12:1-3) Nearing Midnight... A most apropos title for a Bible prophecy column, don't you think? Rattlesnake Lodge - By Hal Lindsey - https://www.hallindsey.com/ww-4-1-2019/ A Texas man recently crawled under his home to fix a problem with his cable TV. Under the house, he found something else - rattlesnakes. He immediately called for professional help. When Big Country Snake Removal arrived, they found a neat house with a well-kept yard. He told them he had seen "a few" rattlesnakes. They found 45 of them. But that's not the company record. A couple of years ago at another home in the Abilene area, they found and removed 88 rattlesnakes. Nelson's Illustrated Bible Dictionary states, "A snake is the Bible's first and final animal villain." As evidence, it cites Genesis 3. That's where Satan, in the form of a serpent, tempts Eve. They also cite Revelation 20:1-2. Those verses tell of "an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years." "The serpent of old" refers to the serpent in Genesis 3. Remembrance of Eden's serpent had a profound affect on the ancient Hebrews. They hated snakes of all kinds, even the non-poisonous ones. Psalm 140 speaks of "violent men." Verse 3 says, "They sharpen their tongues as a serpent; Poison of a viper is under their lips." When we first see Satan in the Bible, it is as a serpent. His goal then was the same as it is now. He attacks God by attacking God's word. Genesis 3:1 says, "Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, 'Indeed, has God said, "You shall not eat from any tree of the garden"?'" "Has God said?" became for Satan both a theme and a modus operandi. That's how he works. That's how he does his job. He attempts to undermine God's work among people by attacking God's credibility. Like a serpent, he slithers into places that should be safe. His question - "Has God said?" - eats away at the foundations of homes, churches, denominations, and institutions of Christian education. For them, vast sections of scripture are being effectively torn out of the Bible. Anything that does not conform to the politically correct notions of our day are being ignored or denied by millions who call themselves Christian. And like the neat, well-kept home near Abilene, the infiltration is far greater than it first seems. As a long-time observer of current events in light of scripture, I'm especially concerned about the day-to-day thinking of evangelical Christians. We must be on guard against the onslaught of ideas perpetrated by Satan - ideas that daily flood our minds through the media. As we enter the Easter season, we will see a new round of television shows and magazine articles attacking all aspects of the Bible's veracity. But if anyone really wants to understand the Bible, they should open it up and read for themselves. Most of the Easter-season "Bible" documentaries will not contain the answers. They will send more snakes into the foundation. If you want to know what God says, read it for yourself. If you want to know if it's true, examine the evidence. If you want to know if you can trust it, apply it to your life. In that way, you will experience its reliability for yourself. With today's technology, we have easier and more immediate access to God's word than previous generations could even dream of. But the important thing is not that you have a dozen versions of the Bible on the smartphone in your pocket. The important thing is that you hold God's word in your head and in your heart. More than anything else, that will drive out the snakes, and guard against their return. Daily Jot: Boston U study reveals gun ban lies - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com A study of gun control laws in the 50 states conducted by researchers at Harvard and Boston Universities indicated that neither assault weapons nor handguns owned by homeowners increase homicide rates. The study analyzed the relationship between 10 state firearm laws and total, age-adjusted (firearm) homicide and suicide rates from 1991-2016, which included 1,222 observations of homicide analysis. The author of the study, Michael Siegel, professor of community health sciences at Boston University, told futurity.org in an interview that "tight regulation of who has access to firearms, rather than the type of firearms that are allowed, differentiates states with the lowest rates of homicides." The study indicated that that universal background checks were associated with a 14.9% reduction in overall homicide rates. Laws that prohibit violent crime convicts from possessing firearms showed an 18% reduction in homicide rates. Siegel told futurity.org, "What surprised us the most was that in states that enacted a combination of universal background-check laws, laws prohibiting the sale of guns to people with violent misdemeanors, and concealed carry permit laws, the homicide rates were 35 percent lower than in states with none of those three kinds of laws. The practice of keeping guns out of the hands of people who are at the greatest risk for violence-based on a history of violence-appears to be the most closely associated with decreased rates of firearm homicide." Siegel said, "Laws regulating the sale of assault weapons are unlikely to have a large impact on homicide rates, because these weapons are used in only a very small proportion of homicides. The vast majority of firearm homicides in the United States are committed with handguns...About 99.9 percent of all [gun-related deaths] in the United States are either suicides, unintentional shootings, or non-mass shooting homicides-non of which will be eliminated by getting rid of assault weapons...In contrast, laws that restrict access to firearms among those people who are at the greatest risk for violence-namely, people with a history of violence-are intervening among a subpopulation of people who are likely to commit crimes." This flies in the face of the neo-communist narrative that guns must be banned and the US population disarmed to stop mass murders and other homicides. Yet, they keep beating the drum of disarmament. For example, Breitbart News reports that Democratic presidential candidate Corey Booker (D-NJ) at a recent town hall meeting claimed that "We have in America, in the aggregate, a mass shooting every day, because dozens of people are shot and killed." Disarming America makes the communist coup easier, and that's why they lie about guns. The study shows that it is the character of the person using the gun, not the gun itself, who is the problem. As Christ said in Matthew 7:17, "Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit." Criminal character and lying politicians are both fruit of corrupt trees. Daily Devotion: An Example to Follow - by Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance. - 2 Timothy 3:10 One of the greatest compliments a nonbeliever can pay a believer is to say, "What is it about you that makes you different? You have this peace. You have this joy." It also opens the door for conversation. If you want to win some, then you need to be winsome. Believers are to build bridges. A Christian sometimes sows a seed, sometimes waters a seed, and sometimes reaps where others have sown and watered. Don't ever try to harvest a seed that is not ready to be harvested. But don't miss the opportunity to harvest when it is harvest time. You need to pray for wisdom to know when it is seed-sowing time, when it's time to be a witness by watering that seed, and when it's time to harvest what has been sown. Discipleship, simplified, is to lead others to Christ, establish them spiritually, and then do it again and again and again. Basically it is evangelize, disciple, stabilize, and repeat. But somewhere along the way we have sort of separated evangelism from discipleship. However, they are one in the same. We are called not just to invite people to Christ but to take new believers under our wing and help them get on their feet spiritually. It would be like delivering a baby and then giving that little newborn some diapers and saying, "Okay, God bless you. It is a tough world out there, but good luck." No, little babies need to be nurtured and loved. And new believers need to be nurtured and loved as well. New believers also need an example. They need to see what a Christian looks like. They need to see what a Christian does. Some things are taught, and some things are caught. New believers need to see a Christian like you. FROM THE HEART
