Can You Imagine? - By Randy Nettles -
https://www.raptureready.com/2020/04/21/can-you-imagine-by-randy-nettles/ Have you ever wondered or dreamed about what it will be like when we see our Savior, Jesus Christ, at the Rapture? Or, for some people, it could even be at the end of the Great Tribulation, when Jesus returns to the earth at Armageddon in all of His glory as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus is the 2nd Person of the Triune Godhead. His name of old was Jehovah. He is our Lord and Savior and has a glorious countenance, for He is Almighty God. I can imagine His appearance will overwhelm our senses with His beauty, power, and Godliness. Here is a great song by MercyMe, singing about what it will be like when we see Him for the first time and how we will react to His glory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_lrrq_opng. You might want to listen to it while you read this article. The lyrics are at the bottom of the page. My thanks to Cynthia Nuara for pioneering this technique of incorporating relevant songs, lyrics, or classic literature within the article itself. This Biblically-based article consists of six Jewish prophets of God who saw the Lord God (in one form or another) in His magnificence and glory. Some of them saw him more than once. There were ten sightings which were in the form of visions, theophanies, or where the Lord's appearance was hidden by dark clouds, smoke, and fire. The first reaction most of them had was one of fright. The next reaction was one of awe and wonder. The third reaction would be one of overwhelming love. Of course, we can only imagine... 1) Moses and the children of Israel see the glory of the Lord on Mount Sinai "Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain; and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled. And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly. And when the blast of the trumpet sounded long and became louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by voice. Then the Lord came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain. And the Lord called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up" (Exodus 19:16-20). "Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off. Then they said to Moses, 'You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.' And Moses said to the people, 'Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.' So the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was" (Exodus 20:18-21). "Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and 70 of the elders of Israel; and they saw the God of Israel and there was under His feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in His clearness. And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand, also they saw God, and did eat and drink. And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give you tables of stone (10 Commandments), and a law, and commandments which I have written; that you may teach them" (Exodus 24:9-12). This was a theophany of the Lord whereas He took the form of a mighty angel. "And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount. And the glory of the Lord abode upon Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it 6 days. And the 7th day He called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud. And the sight of the glory of the Lord was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel. And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and got him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount 40 days and 40 nights" (Exodus 24:15-18). "So the Lord said to Moses, 'I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.' And Moses said, 'Please, show me Your glory.' Then He said, 'I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.' But He said, 'You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.' And the Lord said, 'Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen'" (Exodus 33:17-23). After Moses saw God's back and received the second 10 Commandments from the Lord, his face shone from the encounter. Aaron and the children of Israel were afraid to come near him. Moses called them together and gave them all the commandments that the Lord had given him. And when Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil on his face. "But whenever Moses went in before the Lord to speak with Him, he would take the veil off until he came out; and he would come out and speak to the children of Israel whatever he had been commanded" (Exodus 34:33-34). No one can see the face of the Lord, in His Shekinah glory, and live. The only way you can see His face is through a vision, theophany, or in some environment where His features are obscured. However, when we are raptured and receive our new spiritual bodies, that are made for eternity, we will be able to gaze upon the face of God forevermore. 2) David sees a glorious theophany of the Lord in the form of a mighty angel "Then David lifted his eyes and saw the angel of the Lord standing between earth and heaven, having in his hand a drawn sword stretched out over Jerusalem. So David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell on their faces" (1 Chronicles 21:16). "For the tabernacle of the Lord and the altar of the burnt offering, which Moses had made in the wilderness, were at that time at the high place in Gibeon. But David could not go before it to inquire of God, for he was afraid of the sword of the angel of the Lord" (1 Chronicles 21:29-30). While David did not see the Lord in all His glory, it was a sight that was so frightening and powerful that I had to mention it. 3) Isaiah has a vision of the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven "In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried to another and said: 'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!' And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. So I said: 'Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts'" (Isaiah 6:1-5). 4) Isaiah has a vision of the Lord Jesus Christ when he returns to the Earth at Armageddon "Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah, this One who is glorious in His apparel, traveling in the greatness of His strength? -'I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.' Why is Your apparel red, and Your garments like one who treads in the winepress? 'I have trodden the winepress alone, and from the peoples no one was with Me. For I have trodden them in My anger, and trampled them in My fury; Their blood is sprinkled upon My garments, and I have stained all My robes. For the day of vengeance is in My heart, and the year of My redeemed has come. I looked, but there was no one to help, and I wondered That there was no one to uphold; Therefore My own arm brought salvation for Me; and My own fury, it sustained Me. I have trodden down the peoples in My anger, made them drunk in My fury, and brought down their strength to the earth'" (Isaiah 63:1-6). 5) Isaiah describes the Lord at Mount Sinai and hints at the Rapture "Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That You would come down! That the mountains might shake at Your presence- As fire burns brushwood, As fire causes water to boil-To make Your name known to Your adversaries, That the nations may tremble at Your presence! When You did awesome things for which we did not look, You came down, The mountains shook at Your presence. For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen, Oh God, beside You [Jesus], what He has prepared for them that love Him. You [Jesus] meet him [at the Rapture] who rejoices and does righteousness, those that remember You in Your ways" (Isaiah 64:1-5). 6) Ezekiel sees a vision of God, the Son, in His glory "And above the firmament over their heads was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like a sapphire stone; on the likeness of the throne was a likeness with the appearance of a man high above it. Also from the appearance of His waist and upward I saw, as it were, the color of amber with the appearance of fire all around within it; and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw, as it were, the appearance of fire with brightness all around. Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one who spoke" (Ezekiel 1:26-28). This description of the Lord is similar to the one Moses gave in Exodus 24:9. 7) Daniel sees God, the Father, in a dream/vision. Glory! "I watched till thrones were put in place, and the Ancient of Days [the Father] was seated; His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, and its wheels a burning fire; A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, and the books were opened" (Daniel 7:9-10). "I was watching in the night visions, and behold, one like the Son of Man [Jesus], coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days [the Father], and they brought him near before Him. And there was given to him dominion and glory and a kingdom; that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed" (Daniel 7:13-14). 8) Daniel sees God, the Son (Jesus/Jehovah), in a vision "I was watching; and the same horn [Antichrist] was making war against the saints, and prevailing against them, until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom" (Daniel 7:21-22). Three times in Daniel 7, God is called the Ancient of Days. 3 is the number for divine perfection, and 7 is the number for spiritual perfection. Chapter 7 of Daniel certainly verifies this idea. The first two descriptions are talking about God, the Father, while the last one is in regard to God, the Son (Jesus), who will destroy the Antichrist at Armageddon. However, all three are described as the Ancient of Days. In the New Testament, Jesus said, "I and My Father are one" (John 10:30). "Jesus said to him, 'Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?" (John 14:9). 9) John has a vision of Jesus Christ in His glory and a theophany of the Holy Spirit "Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands (the seven lampstands represent the seven-fold spirit of God, who is the third Person of the Triune God), One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength" (Revelation 1:12-16). This description of Christ in His glory sounds exactly like the one given by Daniel regarding the Ancient of Days. 10) John has a vision of the Lord Jesus when He returns to the Earth at Armageddon. Glory! Glory! "Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS" (Revelation 19:11-16). As Paul said (quoting Isaiah) in 1 Corinthians 2:9, "But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man [imagination], the things which God has prepared for them that love Him." However, the next verse supersedes Paul's previous statement. "But God has revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God" (1 Corinthians 2:10). Amen, Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Will I dance for you Jesus Or in awe of You be still? Will I stand in your presence Or to my knees will I fall? Will I sing hallelujah? Will I be able to speak at all? I can only imagine I can only imagine I can only imagine when that day comes And I find myself standing in the Son I can only imagine when all I would do Is forever-forever worship You I can only imagine I can only imagine Surrounded by Your glory What will my heart feel? Dangerous Precedence: Snitching On Your Neighbors For Breaking Social Distancing - By Tyler Durden/Activist - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=3993 Public shaming is nothing new, and neither is shaming others on social media. Now people have taken it to an entirely new level by shaming those on social media who are violating social distancing rules. From Facebook to the community app Nextdoor, people have flooded social media platforms to criticize others who are violating public health orders. Some are complaining about their neighbors hosting wild quarantine parties, while others are disgusted by joggers panting on others. Experts fear the rise of the surveillance state is being ushered in by the coronavirus pandemic. And people snitching on others and posting it on social media will become normalized in a post-corona world, reported AFP News. "It distresses me greatly to see a few uncaring louts who scoff at the safety rules that are meant for all of us to get through this awful situation," said one user on a listserv for a wealthy suburb of the capital Washington, which has seen a slew of complaints about people ignoring distancing guidelines. "I have a suggestion - if you see such behaviors as mentioned above - why not take photos/videos of the offenders? This could discourage their dangerous behaviors," said another. Online shaming has been around for at least a decade or two. What has developed during the pandemic is that some people believe it's their civic duty to enforce public health orders by shaming those who violate it on social media, which adds a new layer to the police state of your neighbor doing the bidding for Big Brother. "There is a sense that if you do it you can save lives... With COVID-19, we're scared and there is an urgency to enforce the social distancing rules. Shaming is really one of the only tools we have," says Dr Emily Laidlaw, an associate professor at the University of Calgary who studies privacy law and online shaming. Most of the shamming is occurring on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Nextdoor, via posts that have names, locations, and or even images or videos detailing how social distancing rules were violated, it can be extremely dangerous and allow the government to conduct unprecedented snooping operations. "My neighbors are all drunk and having a party next door. One of them went on a loud tirade near my door that another month of quarantine is stupid and that he wasn't going to do it," posted one frustrated resident of a middle-class west Los Angeles neighborhood recently. "You need to report them when it's happening because that just means another month for us to be indoors," another user replied. As we've noted, the government has already taken action to monitor the locations of everyone via their smartphones to make sure social distancing is being followed. In combination with neighbors shaming others on social media where the government can easily see, well, our freedoms and America we use to know will not exist in a post-corona world, as the rise of the surveillance state becomes more evident. Wicca Davidson, who manages communications for a municipality in Maryland, said there's a noticeable increase in social media posts of people snitching on others for violating public health orders as the pandemic unfolds. "We don't want to give a few people the ability to derail the use of the listserv," she told AFP. "There's definitely social shaming. That's part of what's working to stay home," Divya Sonti, an employee of IQ Solutions, which are experts in public health communication. But "there is a cost that should be acknowledged -- casualties who are taken down by this unfairly, and the normalization of neighborhood surveillance," Sonti said. Another social media user around the Washington Capital Beltway fears the rise of the surveillance state: "I sympathize with the concern but becoming a police-state type of community isn't healthy," the user wrote. "This is not ok to take picture of people and post them," another person wrote on a Nextdoor group in Los Angeles, after a user posted photographs of people they felt were walking too closely together. What's even more concerning is when the government starts asking people to snoop for them: NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio told residents on Friday that people should take photos of those who are not wearing masks and report them to authorities. When the dust settles, which could be sometime in 2Q21, as per a new report via Morgan Stanley, it will become increasingly evident that a surveillance state in America has been erected, from the community level of people snitching on others on social media, all the way up to mega-corporations and government. Nearing Midnight: The Great Locust Plague of 2020 - Todd Strandberg - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ The year 2020 has been such a disaster, it will likely take some time to figure out what made it such a train wreck. Unless we end with a global nuclear war, the coronavirus and the financial meltdown will dominate how people are remembering this year. There is a third calamity taking place in Africa that is currently a second-page news story, but it has my attention because of its Biblical connection. A massive swarm of locusts has invaded at least eight countries (Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea, Djibouti and Sudan). About a month ago, this cloud of insects was declared the worst plague of locusts in 70 years. It would appear we are headed toward breaking the record set during the time of Moses. However, I read in the Bible that the plague on Egyptians was promised by God to be a "...dense swarm of locusts as had never been before, nor ever will be again" (Exodus 10:14, ESV). This infestation of desert locusts first arrived in East Africa last June, feeding on hundreds of thousands of hectares of crops and pastureland. They came from the uninhabited portion of the Arabian Peninsula which is normally bone dry. In 2018, two perfectly timed cyclones dumped heavy rains in this region, creating the ideal wet, sandy conditions the desert locusts require to breed. Three generations of breeding occurred in nine months, causing locust numbers to increase by 8,000 times and forming the original source of the East Africa upsurge. Scientists say these devastating insects never left East Africa: in fact, favorable wet conditions due to above average rainfall this season mean they are likely to achieve two more generations of new breeding by June this year, increasing their population size up to 400 times. Eventually, the desert is going to dry up, and the swarm of locusts will move inland. A typical swarm can consist of up to 150 million locusts per square kilometer. These insects move with the wind, and can migrate as far as 150 kilometers in one day. Even a tiny, one-square-kilometer locust swarm is capable of consuming the same amount of food in one day as approximately 35,000 people. The coronavirus lockdown is harming the effort to combat the swarm. Some farmers in Abokat's village near the Kenyan border bang metal pans, whistle or throw stones to try to drive the locusts away. But mostly they watch in frustration, largely barred by a coronavirus lockdown from gathering outside their homes. From the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations: "Suppliers of motorized sprayers and pesticides are facing major challenges with limited air freight options to facilitate delivery," Cyril Ferrand, FAO's resilience team leader for East Africa, said on March 30. "Purchased orders were placed [a] few weeks ago and pesticides expected last week in Kenya have been delayed by 10 days." The coronavirus pandemic is just getting started in Africa. There have only been 562 reported deaths and nearly 11,000 COVID-19 cases, according to Al Jazeera, which are relatively low figures compared with other affected regions. As the number of cases spike, the locust invasion is going to be a low priority of governments and world organizations. A year from now we will likely be writing articles about the Great Famine of 2021. East Africa already has 20 million severely food-insecure people, who barely eat enough to fill their stomachs each day. The region was recently devastated by conflict, droughts, and floods. With food lines forming in America from the lockdown, it's going to be hard to draw attention to a crisis on the other side of the globe. It is widely believed in the pre-tribulation rapture camp that we are only to see the birth pangs up until the rapture takes place, not the wrath. Since God is always trying to get man's attention with calamity, I think what we are seeing is a shadow of what will unfold during the tribulation hour. The locusts in Moses time only ate plants, as do the locusts of today. The locusts of Revelation will prey upon people. I warn all salvation fence-sitters to repent now to avoid a far greater wrath to come. "Then the Lord said to Moses, 'Go in to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, that I may show these signs of mine among them, and that you may tell in the hearing of your son and of your grandson how I have dealt harshly with the Egyptians and what signs I have done among them, that you may know that I am the Lord.' So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh and said to him, 'Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, 'How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me. For if you refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your country, and they shall cover the face of the land, so that no one can see the land. And they shall eat what is left to you after the hail, and they shall eat every tree of yours that grows in the field...'" (Exodus 10:1-19, ESV). "They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any green plant or any tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were allowed to torment them for five months, but not to kill them, and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings someone. And in those days people will seek death and will not find it. They will long to die, but death will flee from them" (Revelation 9:4-6, ESV). Prophetic Rabbi who Accurately Predicted WW2: 'War of Gog-Magog this Summer' - By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz - www.breakingisraelnews.com "After that, I will pour out My spirit on all flesh; Your sons and daughters shall prophesy; Your old men shall dream dreams, And your young men shall see visions." Joel 2:28 (The Israel Bible™) One of the most influential rabbis of the last century gave a prophecy in his final days: a third war, greater than any other before it will come 75 years after the end of World War II. The deadline for that prediction is only a few months away. THE AMAZING RABBI: A HIDDEN TZADDIK Rabbi Yisrael Meir (HaKohen) Kagan was one of the most influential rabbis of the early 20th Century. He authored a book on the laws pertaining to slander and gossip, after which he was popularly known as the Chofetz Chaim (desires life) from the verse in Psalms. Who is the man who is eager for life, who desires years of good fortune? Guard your tongue from evil, your lips from deceitful speech. Psalms 34:14 By all accounts, he was a modest and humble man who struggled to feed his family. Though he could not accept the anti-religious aspects of secular Zionism, he planned on moving to Israel, which was still a neglected part of the Ottoman Empire, but his followers persuaded him to remain in Poland. During his lifetime, he was venerated by Jews and non-Jews alike. Orthodox Jews across the world viewed him as one of the 36 hidden righteous people and Polish farmers were said to have lured him into their fields believing his feet would bring blessing to their crops. Known for his writings on halacha (Torah law) and ethics, he was also a firm believer in the Messianic process. It is said that the Chofetz Chaim had a bag packed and at the ready, at all times in case the Moshiach was suddenly to arrive. PROVENANCE OF THE PROPHECY Despite this active anticipation, the Chofetz Chaim had very clear ideas on precisely when the Messiah would arrive and that he even passed on this information to several students. Though this claim is known through anecdotal accounts, one clear line of communication is known. Rabbi Yechezkel Levenstein was the mashgiach ruchani (spiritual adviser of the Mir yeshiva in Belarus until the Nazi invasion forced him to flee with all of his students to Shanghai and eventually to Israel. A report published in Hidabrut, a Hebrew language media for ultra-Orthodox Jews, related how, before he died in 1974, Rabbi Levenstein met with Rabbi Sholom Hakohen Schwadron in Jerusalem. Rabbi Schwadron has since passed away. It should first be noted that the Chofetz Chaim, born in 1838, lived through World War I but passed away in September 1933, six years before the outbreak of World War II. According to the report in Hidabrut, Rabbi Levenstien remembered precisely what the Chofetz Chaim had said more than half a century earlier and passed this on to Rabbi Schwadron. THE PROPHECY While the world was still reeling from the aftereffects of what was dubbed the Great War, or the War to End All Wars, the Chofetz Chaim predicted that yet another war was imminent. "25 years after the end of the last war, another war will break out that will make the first seem like child's play," the Chofetz Chaim told Rabbi Levenstein. The Chofetz Chaim's prediction was, admittedly, slightly off. World War I ended in 1918, 21 years before the outbreak of World War II in 1939. "Everyone who heard this was terrified," Rabbi Levenstein related to Rabbi Schwadron. But Rabbi Schwadron was horrified and dared to ask a question. "My esteemed teacher, why, after such a horrific war, would he say such things? I said that after such a war, we should only pray that another such war will never befall us again." Rabbi Schwadron asked of Rabbi Levenstein. "You don't understand what the holy Chofetz Chaim was speaking of," Rabbi Levenstein answered excitedly. "There will be a great darkness of faith in belief in the world. Everything that came before will be like child's play; even the Great War." "75 years after the second war will come the final and greatest war that will make the second seem even smaller," the Chofetz Chaim continued. Another tradition of this teaching by the Chofetz Chaim taught by Rabbi Tzvi Meir Zilberberg confirms this. "My teachers related how the Chofetz Chaim told his students that he had perceived a prophecy through ruach hakodesh (holy spirit)," Rabb Zilberberg said. "There will be another great war, and after that, the Jews will count ten sabbatical years, after which there will be the last sabbatical year. Then there will be an incredible amount of conflict in the world... lucky is anyone who survives this." This prophecy is consistent with a section of the Talmud (Sanhedrin 97b) which teaches about the coming of Ben David(i.e. The Messiah). "During the sixth year, heavenly voices will be heard. During the Sabbatical Year, wars, e.g., the war of Gog and Magog, will be waged involving the Jewish people. During the year after the conclusion of the Sabbatical Year, the son of David will come." THIS YEAR: 75 YEARS AFTER WWII If the first account is word-for-word accurate and the final war, the pre-Messiah war of Gog and Magog will come precisely 75 years after the end of World War II. The armistice was signed on August 14, 1945, but the Japanese surrendered two weeks later on September 2, five days before Rosh Hashanna, the Jewish New Year. According to the precise understanding of the Chofetz Chaim, the third war is prophesied to begin in the summer of 2020. TEN SABBATICAL CYCLES If the war will begin after ten Shmitta cycles, the timetable seems to work out differently and there seems to be room for interpretation. The shmitta years take place every seven years which would seem to indicate that the Chofetz Chaim's intention was precisely 70 years after the end of Worl War II, i.e. 2015. However, the sabbatical cycle is dependent on Jewish independence in the land of Israel and coincides with the Hebrew calendar year, with sabbatical years being evenly divisible by seven. The first sabbatical after the creation of the modern State of Israel was 5712 according to the Hebrew calendar, or 1951. The tenth shmitta was 5768, or 2007. The shmitta after that, which the prophecy by the Chofetz Chaim described as the last sabbatical, was 20014. The next sabbatical year, scheduled to arrive in Hebrew year 5782 or 2022, is not expected to arrive without the Messiah according to the prediction by the Chofetz Chaim. End of days expert Rabbi Pinchas Winston explained the connection between the final war of Gog and Magog and Moshiach to Breaking Israel News. "Moshiach is the cause of [the war]. He stands up for Jerusalem and they come after us because of it," Rabbi Winston said. Daily Jot: Whatever it is, don't believe it - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com There is so much false information floating around the cybersphere. Advice: Whatever it is, don't believe it; then put on your falsehood detector and check up on it. On the true side, The Wall Street Journal reports that Russia, China, and Iran are running disinformation campaigns in social media claiming it was the US that spread the COVID-19 to China first; that the Gates Family Foundation created the virus to make money with the pharmaceutical companies; and that disinformation about the COVID-19 pandemic is originating from the White House. These alone, have caused a lot of conspiracy theories among the Christian community. Then there is CNN and the mainstream media and false narratives. Breitbart's John Nolte exposed CNN for faking a segment of Chris Cuomo emerging Monday night from his basement after being quarantined from having coronavirus. During his time in "quarantine," Cuomo was positioned by CNN as a selfless person volunteering to exile in his basement to protect his wife and kids, meanwhile raging against everyone who didn't do as he did. Only problem is, it was all a lie. The New York Post found out that on Easter Sunday, Cuomo, while still contagious, got into a confrontation with a cyclist after leaving his house with his wife, kids, and a second woman, violating his quarantine, and New York's stay-at-home orders (instituted by Cuomo's own governor/brother Andrew) just so he could hang out at his property in East Hampton, a full half-hour away, where he's reportedly building a home. Washington Post White House bureau chief Philip Rucker, on MSNBC Monday said that President Donald Trump is supporting protests against stay-at-home orders in the same way that he "showed solidarity" with neo-Nazis in Charlottesville, VA., in 2017. Rucker's "neo-Nazis" claim is, like Cuomo's incident, a widely debunked lie coming from the Post's reporter in charge of covering the White House. Trump never said that the neo-Nazis were "very fine people" as CNN, Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden, and the Hollywood elite keep repeating. Trump repeatedly condemned the neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other hate groups. But the media and leftists continue to repeat the lie. Just that the news media would even report the outrageous, non-substantiated claims by Hollywood elites about Trump being a murderer, that COVID-19 was caused by climate change, and other ridiculous charges, is an indicator that the media should not be believed or trusted. Democratic leadership is also spreading deception with countless attacks on the president's handling of the pandemic, while offering absolutely no solutions to the problem, even holding up aid funding while businesses go bankrupt and people are getting sick and dying. Yet, they blame it on Trump. Even Democratic New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said Trump was right about everyone blaming him. As in Isaiah 59:14, "truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter." Christ said he is the way, the truth and the life. And that is something you can believe. Daily Devotion: A Mark of God's Love - by Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org For whom the LORD loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives. -Hebrews 12:6 Have you ever wondered what the phrase "Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me" means? Let's remember what David said a few verses earlier: "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want" (Psalm 23:1 NKJV). David, a shepherd himself, would have carried two very critical tools: A rod and a staff. A staff was basically a long instrument with a crook on the end to pull a wayward sheep back into line. But then there was the rod, which is self-explanatory. The shepherd would use the rod to defend his sheep against predators. But he might also have to use it to get a wayward sheep's attention. One quick whack, and the sheep paid attention. We're just like those sheep. The Lord is our Shepherd, and sometimes He tells us not to do something. But we do it anyway. So He says, "Don't do that." And we keep doing it. Then God essentially says, "Don't make me use this." Yet we continue to disobey. Whack! Now the Lord has our attention. It's hard for us to believe that God would allow a hardship in our lives because He loves us. It seems that He would want to protect His children from all difficulties. But remember, the Lord wants us to mature in our faith. And one of the marks of God's love for us is discipline, because the Bible says that God disciplines the one that He loves (see Hebrews 12:6). Just as a shepherd takes care of his sheep, the Lord takes care of us. And when God disciplines us, it's an indication that we are His children. That discipline might be something that seems like the worst-case scenario at the time. But ultimately, it can be the very thing that actually brings us to our senses. FROM THE HEART

But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel.
