Enoch and Elijah: Final Curtain Call - By Sally Law -
http://www.raptureready.com/2018/04/21/enoch-elijah-final-curtain-call-sally-law/ When these two men come into view during the beginning of the tribulation, they will be met with the most vile hatred. They also will be center stage in the home of the new Jewish temple in the capital of Israel-Jerusalem. There will be a lot going on during this time. Events showcasing Satan and his works of power through the Antichrist and False Prophet will be clamoring for the attention and worship of the entire world. Then you will have these two. They will be impossible to ignore. People will hardly believe their eyes at the spectacle of them both. It won't be because they are dressed in Armani and have professionally whitened teeth. They will be dressed in sackcloth and performing signs and wonders not seen on this earth for a very long time. They are not here to win a popularity contest or be on the cover of People magazine. These two men of old who never died have come back to earth to do so: Enoch and Elijah. But they are here, living in the latter days for another specific purpose-to prophesy. They have important things to say and display on behalf of God for three and a half years - known also as the two witnesses, the two olive trees, or the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of all the earth. "Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, 'Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months. And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.' "These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth. And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouths and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire" (Revelation 11:1-6). Enoch: Enoch went out walking with God one day, and he was no more. He appeared to be taken to God before the flood that destroyed the earth, before the time of Noah and the ark. Humongous clue of the upcoming rapture! "And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him" (Genesis 5:23-24). The New Testament speaks of Enoch as well: "By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, 'and was not found, because God had taken him;' for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God" (Hebrews 11:5). Enoch prophesied the Second Coming of Christ, seeing the saints of God coming back to earth with Him! How fitting he should be back again-living in this end timeframe. "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him" (Jude 14-15). Elijah the prophet: Then there will be Elijah, as he did not die either; he left this world in a flaming chariot, riding on a whirlwind. "Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven" (2 Kings 2:11). I really like Elijah, as well as Enoch. Elijah had to put up with King Ahab and Queen Jezebel, as well as the prophets of Baal. The combination of those took someone very special to deal with them. He was a real scrapper. He had full confidence that God was always going to show up. Elijah is also is a prophetic timepiece of the end of days, someone spoken of that we should watch for prior to the "day of the Lord" also known as the tribulation. "See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction" (Malachi 4:5-6). So, the scripture says he will appear before this time, and his purpose is restoration in his message for the Jewish people. This is amazing, because he will be centrally located in their midst for three and a half years, prophesying during the tribulation. These two men are the only ones recorded in the Bible to not have physically died. And I believe since they have not done so, that God has a special, dual end-times role for them to fulfill, as they satisfy the requirement of death, as well as fulfill their role as the two witnesses. I have the scriptures to back me in this view, as it says that we live once and die once. "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this, the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). The only exception is born-again Christians who rapture from mortal life at the end of the church age, who are still living at that point in time. "For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words" (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18). The world will behold Enoch and Elijah one last time in this final time of the end before they are slain. They will be prophesying to the nation of Israel and to the whole earth with signs and wonders of ancient biblical proportions for three and a half years. It will be impossible to harm them until they have finished their mission within this timeframe God has allotted for them. They will be fearsome creatures, as fire comes out of their mouths, and they can strike down their enemies right on the spot. "If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. They have power to shut up the heavens so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want" (Revelation 11:5-6). They begin their assignment at the first part of the tribulation. God has divided the seven-year tribulation in half. The last half is defined as the great tribulation, being the most severe in every way. So, these two are prophesying in the first part when the opportunity to refuse the mark of the beast is still in play, and repentance is taking place. Once a person receives the mark of the beast on their right hand or forehead, their eternal destiny is doom. There is no turning back from that decision. This halfway mark in the seven years seems to be a turning point for many things happening during the seven-year tribulation. This is when they are both martyred as well. But, as with all of God's precious possessions of faith, they are given resurrected life and called to come up to Him. "When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. "Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three and a half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth. "Now, after the three and a half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, 'Come up here.' And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them. In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven. The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe is coming quickly" (Revelation 11:7-14). We see repentance here, as some gave "glory to God in heaven." So, their mission does bring forth the fruit God had hoped for, even during this desperate hour-before it is too late. I think it's good that the population will have to look upon these two for three and a half days. This verifies they are truly dead. The people of the earth will have to deny their senses when they see Enoch and Elijah rise from the dead. This resurrection is something that cannot be faked, and I have full confidence it will be on the news when it happens-all of it. This too will be hard to ignore, along with the earthquake and 7,000 people perishing at that point. It will definitely put an end to the celebration of the death of the two witnesses. Nothing breaks up an evil party and gift-giving like an earthquake and mass destruction. Now, I have heard and read articles that suggest that these two might be Moses and Elijah, not Enoch and Elijah as I have shared today. Anything is possible here, but scripture is my first authority, and it says everyone dies and appears before God in judgment, so I default there. And since there are two, and only two that did not do so, they are the only candidates for a role of this kind. Satan did argue with Michael the Archangel about the bones of Moses. (See Jude for the story.) But Moses died and fulfilled his requirement for death, bones or no bones about it. Did I just type that? Moses was buried somewhere in the land of Moab (modern-day Jordan) according to Deuteronomy 34. The exact location is not known. There is no grave marker for him. I think this is the way God intended it to be. Satan was after his bones for a reason and tangled with Michael in the process. God is more powerful than Satan; so we know who prevailed here in the story, even though it is not stated. I realize some of the signs and wonders that are described in Revelation 11 pertain to those God performed through Moses, like the plagues and turning the waters into blood. I don't have to be right here, but I think I have chosen the stronger scripture to base my article. But it's okay if you have a different opinion. My thoughts on Moses' bones are this: Satan loves to desecrate everything: burial sites, archaeological finds, bodies, the Jewish temples, etc. The tomb of Jonah in Iraq destroyed by Isis is a good example. But why? It gives authenticity to the Bible of its history and accuracy. Satan likes to destroy all evidence and discredit God anytime he can. I think that was the case with Moses and his bones. What better way to discredit something than to destroy all the evidence. Although, evidence must be procured first, then destroyed. But, if God used the angel Michael to hide Moses' bones, then only God knows where they are. Apparently, this is a very well-kept secret to this day. Perhaps Satan is still digging..... Of course, this is just my humble opinion. God is and will always be smarter than Satan! With all that being said, I believe the Two Witnesses will be Enoch and Elijah. That is all for now. I will continue with articles pertaining to the book of Revelation in the days ahead. I hope you stay encouraged, dear readers, as we see the day approaching.... lift up your heads as our redemption draws close! "This Will Be Israel's Most Dangerous May Since 1967" - By Benjamin Kerstein - http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=2205 The former chief of Israel Defense Forces intelligence believes the upcoming month of May could be the most dangerous Israel has faced since before the 1967 Six Day War. "When I look at the month of May, I say there wasn't a month of May so dangerous since 1967," said Amos Yadlin in an interview with Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth. In May 1967, the security situation in the Middle East began to deteriorate as Egypt expelled UN peacekeepers from Sinai and three Arab nations mobilized their forces along Israel's borders. Israel eventually launched a preemptive strike in early June and decisively defeated Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. "In the last Independence Day ceremonies I was reminded of the independence ceremonies of '67," Yadlin said. "The Jerusalem parade, everyone was satisfied, but they didn't pay attention to the beginning of developments that snowballed into the Six Day War." Yadlin also warned against Israeli complacency and overconfidence. He pointed to Israel's failure to predict the 1973 Yom Kippur War, in which Egypt and Syria caught Israel unaware on its holiest day and inflicted heavy casualties on the Jewish state before being defeated by the IDF. "When the heads of state talk about Israel as a superpower, it also reminds me of the noises from '73," Yadlin stated. "So let's be more modest, more careful, and understand where we're going." Yadlin pointed to recent escalations between Israel and Iran in Syria. In February, an Iranian drone infiltrated Israeli airspace. It was later found to be laden with explosives, apparently for a terror attack. Israel retaliated by striking the control center for the drone and Syria's anti-aircraft system. Last week, Israel reportedly struck a Syrian airfield also used to control Iranian drones. Iran promised strong retaliation for the strike. Israel has unequivocally stated that it will not permit Iran to entrench itself along it's northern border. Yadlin related the escalation to a recent statement by a top Iranian military official. "The deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guards said that his army can erase Israel and destroy our airforce, and so the only thing we can all do is escape into the sea," said Yadlin. "From a military point of view he can't threaten the existence of the State of Israel, he can't even harm the air force." Nonetheless, Yadlin continued, Israel must exercise extreme caution in dealing with Iran. "A preventive strike doesn't absolutely have to involve the danger of a full-scale confrontation," he said, "and I hope the people who sit in the cabinet room and the intelligence and security services know how to differentiate between when to go for the head of the Iranian snake in places that we can't tolerate Iranian entrenchment in Syria, and on the other hand expelling every last Iranian from Syria. That's an unrealistic and incorrect goal." Yadlin also noted that the Palestinian "March of Return" along the Gaza border will intensify as the Palestinians mark "Nakba Day" next month, on which they lament their failure to annihilate the nascent State of Israel in 1948. In addition, President Donald Trump will be making his decision on whether to dump his predecessor's nuclear deal with Iran. This could influence Iran's decision to retaliate against Israel. "All these things together enter the month of May," Yadlin said. "The Israel-Iran issue and the Iranian retaliation, Trump's decision on the agreement with Iran, and also the Palestinians' 'March of Return' on May 15." Nearing Midnight: The Isaiah 17 Question - Terry James - http://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ Inevitably the questions came. They came in various derivations of: "Do you think this bombing of Damascus is leading to Isaiah 17: 1?" President Trump's decision to keep his promise to Bashar al Assad that if he used chemical weapons again, there would be a price to pay. It was a promise kept to Russian President Vladimir Putin as well. He told the Russian leader that the missiles were coming. They would be "shiny" and "smart." Trump's actions were a far cry from his predecessor's drawing "red lines" in the Middle-Eastern sand. Time after time, the tyrants of the region crossed Mr. Obama's lines with no consequences forthcoming. It quickly became obvious that at least one leader believed he was dealing with a different sort of president. Putin wasted little time removing eleven of his ships from harm's way-from the warm-water port in Syria he had connived to secure for his navy. This achievement-a warm-water port for Russia's navy-of course, had been one long desired by the Soviets and by Russia, once the USSR fell during Gorbachev's Glasnost and Perestroika time as Soviet leader. So, Damascus, Syria, has long been in the thinking of the geopoliticians of all stripes. The Assads, both Hafez and his son Bashar, ruled with iron fists, just as Saddam Hussein ruled Iraq. They ruled with more or less autonomy until, in my opinion, the rush of prophetic times overtook them. And, who among any watchman on the wall, observing stage-setting in the Middle East (and around the world, for that matter) can deny that the crush of issues and events on a global scale has destroyed normal geopolitical equilibrium, opening the end-times door to prophetic fulfillment? Israel is in headlines every hour. Russia, Iran, and Turkey, the Gog-Magog force leaders, according to Ezekiel 38-39, are coalescing due north of the Jewish state the prophecy says these diabolists will attack. China is already the king of the kings of the East and growing more powerful and hegemonic with each passing news cycle. And now, Damascus is on the front pages of newspapers, Internet headlines and every other news venue, with smoke still rising from the damage the 100-plus cruise missiles inflicted. The question, or derivatives thereof: "Do you think this bombing of Damascus is leading to Isaiah 17: 1?" is relevant. The reason for the question, of course, is the prophecy that is one yet future, scheduled for the time near Christ's Second Advent: "The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap" (Isaiah 17:1). It is a prophecy, considering the aforementioned prophetic stage-setting realities, that rightfully makes the student of eschatology take notice-and, take notice they have-since even before the attack of April 13. So, I'll address the question of whether the attack by the America, Britain, France coalition is leading to the Isaiah 17 prophetic fulfillment. I am of the conviction that everything going on in and around that whole region, and Damascus in particular, has prophetic significance. There can just be no doubt about it. I, however, like anyone, can't say specifically at what stage of the stage-setting for the Damascus Isaiah 17 destruction we are in at present. My own thinking always gets back to Jesus' words about the days of Noah and days of Lot (Matthew 24:36-42 and Luke 17:26-30). I believe there will be no world-rending prophetic fulfillment-such as the Gog-Magog attack, such as the total destruction of Damascus-before the Rapture of the Church. Jesus tells us in the prophecy that things will be going along as usual-particularly with emphasis on a good-performing economy- at the time He catastrophically intervenes into the affairs of mankind. He said that the cataclysm will fall the very day He intervenes. I believe it is just after the Rapture that these specific, horrendous prophecies are fulfilled. Keep observing and asking the questions. This is incumbent upon the true Bible prophecy student. But, keep looking up at the same time (Luke 21:28). That's the prophecy we truly wish to see fulfilled! Coming Soon to a Theatre Near You - A.V. Rauf - https://bibleprophecyfortoday.com/2018/04/23/coming-soon-to-a-theatre-near-you/ As the world awaits the release of a Blockbuster movie that involves a "War," of galactic proportions, let me inform you a a "real" war that is on the verge of commencing. A war written about several thousand years in advance. The Theatre for this war is none othet then the Middle East! I am referring to the Battle of Gog and Magog. I urge you to read this four-part series for an in-depth analysis of this forthcoming battle: https://bibleprophecyfortoday.com/2015/01/07/ezekiel-38-39-the-war-of-gog-magog-part-i/ https://bibleprophecyfortoday.com/2015/01/08/ezekiel-38-39-the-war-of-gog-magog-part-2/ https://bibleprophecyfortoday.com/2015/01/09/ezekiel-38-39-the-war-of-gog-and-magog-part-3/ https://bibleprophecyfortoday.com/2015/01/09/ezekiel-38-39-the-war-of-gog-magog-part-4-conclusion/ Any student of Bible Prophecy is cognizant of the fact that the War of Gog/Magog as prophesied in Ezekiel Chapters 38-39 is indeed on the horizon. As we speak, a huge land bridge from Russia to the border of Israel has been established and a strong Russian presence remains in Syria, and which also include their ally: Iran or Persia. It is now evident that all the pieces are prophetically being put into place. Of the many nations mentioned in the Bible that form a coalition to attack Israel, the three prominent nations foretold to attack Israel in Ezekiel 38-39 (Russia, Iran & Turkey) are now literally setting camp near the Golan Heights. We already know that Turkish troops have entered Syria to fight Kurdish military forces and are advancing southward towards the Israeli border. It is also fairly evidnt now that Russia is definitively attempting to guard Iranian military forces from an Israeli military onslaught. This could very well be the next war on the horizon and if it is, then the7 Year Tribulation is set to commence. Buckle your seatbelts! It's about to get very interesting the next few months. Daily Jot: Germany's anti-Semitism and prophecy - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com Germany, its leadership in particular, is infamous for its persecution of Jews to the extent of attempting the unthinkable under Adolf Hitler's reign-the final solution. Islam's alliance with Hitler is much debated and discussed among historians, but seemed to come naturally given Hitler's actions resulting in the Holocaust. Steve Coll, author of "Hitler and the Muslims" writes: "Germany's use of Islam during the Nazi period owed less to Hitler's strategizing than to the legacy of imperial Germany's use of armed jihadists to undermine its European enemies." The Hitler-Islam alliance shared a collateral benefit if they conquered the world and Jews were eliminated from it at the same time. Is Germany repeating this history today? NBC News reports that German Chancellor Angela Merkel's open border policy allowed over a million Muslim "refugees" into the country in 2015-up to 10,000 a day-to a country with a population of some 81 million. According to a Berlin-based non-profit, The Department for Research and Information on Anti-Semitism, the number of anti-Semitic crimes increased 55 percent in 2017, with 2 to 3 incidents a day in Berlin, alone. Violent crimes against Jews in Germany continue to increase. It is no coincidence that the open border policy flooded Germany with Muslims from staunch anti-Jewish strongholds and crime rates against Jews in Germany have skyrocketed. Muslims are committing the crimes. Merkel commented during an interview with Israel's Channel 10 about Germany's rising anti-Semitism. Merkel admitted that anti-Semitism existed in Germany before the Muslim's immigrated to the country, but her comments underscored her ignorance, intentional or unintentional, about those whose religion instructs them to kill Jews and Christians (for example, the Koran's Sura 2:190-193, speaking of Christians and Jews, says, "And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter."). Merkel said, "We have refugees now, for example, or people of Arab origin, who bring a different type of anti-Semitism into the country." What? She continued to say, "The fact that no kindergarten, no school, no synagogue can be left without police protection dismays us." Merkel is dismayed that she allowed 10,000 people a day into her country who likely believe that Jews are less than pigs (also in the Koran) into a country known for its anti-Semitism, and crimes against Jews increases? She is dismayed that the police have to protect Jewish children at their schools? The Lord promises to make Abram and his descendants a great nation. in Genesis 12:3, the Lord says, "And I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curses you." Germany and Islam are a modern example of the impact of leadership in relation to prophecy. Think about it. Daily Devotion: Imitate Me - By Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ. -1 Corinthians 11:1 I heard about a man who desperately wanted to get married. He found a girl he was in love with, and he took her home to meet his parents. But his mother didn't like her. So he went out and found another girl and brought her home. Still, his mother didn't like her. Then he found a girl who looked like his mother, talked like his mother, and dressed like his mother. In every way, this girl was just like his mother. Then his father didn't like her. Like it or not, people are making evaluations about God according to the way we live as followers of Christ. Being a disciple is walking with Jesus in such a way that you get to say to someone else, "Follow my example." I know that we mess up sometimes. But that doesn't excuse us from being examples. The apostle Paul said, "Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ" (1 Corinthians 11:1 NKJV). What if the church were filled with people just like you? What if everyone else in the church were exactly like you? What if everyone in the church read the Bible as faithfully as you do? Would we be a Bible studying church? What if everyone in the church worshipped God just like you do? Would we be a worshipping church? What if everyone in the church gave of their finances as faithfully as you do? Would we have a supported church? What if everyone in the church shared the gospel as often as you do? What would the church be like? What if other believers were just like you? As believers, we should be living godly lives in such a way that we could say, as the apostle Paul did, "Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ." FROM THE HEART
