Pre Wrath Blues - By Pete Garcia -
http://rev310.com/2019/05/pre-wrath-blues Having just finished a month-long email debate with two men from an online Prewrath ministry, I have come to the realization that you just can't argue with stupid. I realize that sounds harsh and perhaps even unchristian ....but it is the truth. For the record, I am not calling them stupid, just their reasoning's for supporting a Prewrath (PW) view. Any eschatological view that either puts the church into the 70th Week, or denies bible prophecy outright or in part, is heretical in nature. Now, I use that term heretical cautiously, because it is a serious charge to lay against anyone. Heresy is not just those things the orthodox authorities or majority deem heretical, but also those things, which go against the very text of the Bible itself. Although this isn't the first time I have had a theological engagement like this, it is just the latest in a long line of end-runs the enemy has made into making divisions and schisms in an already dwindling population (i.e., the watchmen who care about Bible prophecy). It also makes me sad, not just for these two gentlemen, but for all who have bought into false teachings regarding the time surrounding the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. First for those biblically illiterate who are swept up by false teachings and had their lives ruined. Even worse, for those whose faith was crushed by a deception and quit believing altogether. Hermeneutics actually matters. Therefore, after a month being berated, belittled, and generally not having my questions answered in any kind of coherent or logical manner, I pulled a Pilate on these two and washed my hands of the whole affair. I don't mind a good debate now and again, especially if we conduct it in such a way that is honoring to God (iron sharpening iron), but these two "ministers" were quick to go ad hominem on me the moment they felt like they were losing the argument. One troubling aspect to this whole affair was the reality that they were not interested in the truth of what Scripture actually says, but only in their interpretation of what they want it to say. Furthermore, they put more emphasis on personal prophetic hearings, visions, and a 'word of knowledge,' then on how those compare with what Scripture actually teaches. Even more troubling, was what they were accusing me of applying a literal/grammatical/historical hermeneutic of Scripture; That is the point Pete, you say you believe you are correct. When it comes to God's Word that is really not good enough. In the old testament God frowned upon those who prophesied by their own spirit. Again, several times in the 2nd and 3rd chapter of Revelation the Spirit of Christ said "He that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit says unto the Churches" Few end time teachers endeavor to hear what the Spirit is saying. Men are prophesying by their own spirit by approaching scripture from a hermeneutical intellectual perspective. There are many men who are actually hearing from the Lord by dreams and visions, some of them are receiving prophetic warnings and others a word of knowledge about things to come which can and have come to pass. I find almost none of them espousing a pre-trib Rapture...While hermeneutics can be a useful tool when attempting to interpret scripture, it does not work when interpreting prophecy. The proof of this is clearly visible in the fact that just about every Western prophecy teacher uses hermeneutics, but are teaching dozens of different end time's doctrines. Jesus says "He that has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says unto the Churches". While I am not going to repost the entire conversation, I have two witnesses (Terry and Randy) who can attest to the entirety of the conversation to ensure I am not misrepresenting anyone here. They actually accused me of holding to a literal, grammatical, and historical interpretation of Scripture (taking the text for what it says), and then equating that (in a pejorative manner) as "my own interpretation." They then argue that many men they know who have had private and / or personal visions, dreams, and that almost NONE of them are Pre-Trib in nature, as proof that I am wrong? Wait, what?? In their estimation, there was more weight (more credibility) given to those who have dreams and visions, than to what the written Word actually says. In 2 Timothy 2:15, the Apostle Paul charges us to study to show thyself approved...The Apostle Peter warns us in 2 Peter 1:20 that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation. What these both tell me, is that following dreams, visions, or a "word of knowledge," which an individual receives privately, does NOT trump what God's word says publicly. So at the very least I am comforted in the fact that our enemy is consistent and these men are not receiving dreams and visions of a Pre-Trib nature. For the record, I'm not saying people can't have dreams and visions, but if these do not conform to what God's word has already said, then they are not of God. Let us consider three points- a) God is not the author of confusion (1 Cor. 14:33) b) God is not going to contradict His own word (Num. 23:19) c) God is not the only supernatural being out there (Ephesians 6:12, 2 Cor. 11:14-15) However, let me just set the record straight once and for all, up front, and in bold font, The Bible teaches only ONE eschatological view on prophecy Just like the Bible teaches only ONE soteriological view on salvation. Just like the Bible teaches only ONE ecclesiological view on the church. The Bible is NOT a choose-your-own-adventure book. Those who abandon the normal, literal, grammatical, and historical interpretation of Holy Scripture are the very reason WHY we have so many different viewpoints on every major doctrinal position. It is because they follow their dreams, visions, or a "word of knowledge," and that causes them to depart from what the Word actually says. I believe this is how most (if not all) cults begin. When one chooses not to accept the Bible for what it says (in context to the surrounding passage) then what you are in effect doing, is creating a choose your own adventure book. Alternatively, neither am I promoting "wooden-literalism," as Hank Hanegraaf (the Bible Answer Man) used to accuse us dispensationalists with, but rather, with a common-sense literalism. [For the record, Mr. Hanegraaf has since eloped from Protestantism into the Eastern Orthodox realm seeking more visual enlightenment as it were]. So what is common sense interpretation? "When the plain sense of Scripture makes common sense, seek no other sense; therefore, take every word at its primary, ordinary, usual, literal meaning unless the facts of the immediate context, studied in the light of related passages and axiomatic and fundamental truths, indicate clearly otherwise." -Dr. David L. Cooper (1886-1965), founder of The Biblical Research Society Therefore, what this means is that... 1. The sum and substance of this most important rule is that one should take every statement of the Scriptures at its face value, if possible. 2. The following is an analysis of the adjectives "primary," "ordinary," and "usual." 3. "Primary" emphasizes the original, inherent idea in the term. 4. "Ordinary" and "usual" are practically synonyms, especially in this definition, "usual" being employed for the sake of emphasis. 5. "Literal" is used to emphasize the thought that every word must first be taken literally as expressing the exact thought of the author at the time when it was used; and one is not to go beyond the literal meaning of the Scriptures unless the facts of the context indicate a deeper, hidden or symbolic meaning. As to departing from the literal, grammatical, historical hermeneutic, this is not new. People have been twisting, perverting, reinventing, and wordsmithing the Bible for the last two-thousand years without fail because everyone if gifted with the curse of opinions. From the first century Gnostics, to the poor misguided youngsters in the Emergent Church movement. From Origen to Rachel Held Evans, everyone wants to put their own spin on the Bible to force Scriptures to contort to the norms of their day. People might accuse me of being overly harsh regarding people who pervert the Bible to their own gain, but how one interprets, the Bible is significantly important. Here are just a few examples of how things turn out badly for those who abuse Scripture.
So yeah, hermeneutics do actually matter. Trust me when I say that there is a lot of bad hermeneutics going around out there around the internet. This equates to there being many pseudo-Christian groups, posing as legitimate Christian ministries, who are nothing more than theological wolves in sheep's clothing preying on the biblically illiterate. However, not to fear dear reader, none of this was a surprise to God. Scripture warns us that in the last days, this would be the norm... "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Matthew 7:15-16 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears. Acts 20:29-31 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 2 Tim. 3:1-7 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. 2 Peter 2:1-3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. Jude 1:3-4 Assessment Back to my Pre-Wrath venting. While I will not be so foolish as to put PW adherents and devotees into the classification of cult, or pseudo-Christian, I would absolutely liken them to theologically misguided (heretically speaking) and who have major doctrinal issues apart from eschatology, which consequently, impacts and leads them to their flawed eschatological points of view. There is something about the PW view, which irritates me to my core. I mean irritate in the most unpleasant of terms. Like being out and you have a piece of steak or corn wedged in your teeth and you do not have any floss or a toothpick on hand. You spend the next (however long it takes) to get something sharp and pointy to wedge in your teeth to dig it out. Irritating in that sense. Here are my issues with PW: They presume themselves to be the historic view.
Their name is deceptive. They are no more Pre-Wrath, than Mormon's are Latter Day Saints.
In order for the PW view to work, it must distort three other theological Christian doctrines;
Here are several questions I have used to debate the two Prewrath devotees, and found them either quite unwilling or unable to answer coherently. Keep in mind; this is using the PW view of how things play out as the backdrop. 1. If the Seals 1-5 are not the wrath of God, but rather, are the wrath of man/Satan/ Antichrist....HOW do they (man/Satan/Antichrist) initiate said seals. 1) If the Church is not raptured, and we are still on the earth, then how then do we when these have begun (if Man or Satan initiates these)? IOW, how do we know specifically when the first Seal has been opened? 2) How is the "wrath of man" or "wrath of Satan" any different from what has already occurred in history? In the 20th Century alone, we have documented hundreds of millions killed due to crime, war, persecution, starvation, genocide, pestilence, murder, abortion, holocaust, etc....and yet, we could not point to a single moment when the rider on the white horse could have arrived. More Christians have died in the 20th-21st century then the previous 20 centuries combined. 3) 2. If the first Seal is marked by the arrival of THE Antichrist (rider on the white horse), how will one know who it is? Paul states in 2 Thess. 2:7-8 that the man of lawlessness (The Antichrist) cannot be revealed UNTIL the one who restrains, is taken out of the way. 1.Who/what is "the one who restrains?" Here are your options- 1) Michael the Archangel (not omnipresent) 2) Human Government (not capable or willing) 3) The Holy Spirit 4) The Holy Spirit filled/sealed Church 5) Satan (seems to not be in his own interest to do so) 2.What physically happens on the earth when "the one who restrains" is removed? How will we (those of us on earth) know exactly when this "restraint removal" happens? 3. In Revelation 3:10, Jesus tells the Church at Philadelphia (and those who have an ear to hear) that I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. If this is not a picture of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church, then what is it?
Conclusion Having already departed from the literal/grammatical/historical interpretation of the Word, there are presumably many variations of the PW view floating around out in the internet these days. I imagine there will be complaints about this article as misrepresenting their view. Perhaps. However, so as not to be accused by the PW pit bulls on misleading people about their beliefs, I will use their own words to describe what they say they believe. Many of us were told that the church will be "raptured out of here before the Antichrist's arrival." The Bible, however, teaches the church will first experience the Antichrist's great tribulation. Then, at some unknown day and hour, Antichrist's persecution will be cut short by the return of Christ to resurrect and rapture believers before the day of the Lord's wrath-hence, Prewrath. Interestingly, the PW view is the exact same eschatological view as a fairly well known cult known as the Worldwide Church of God (Herbert W. Armstrong). So either it is the chicken or the egg we do not know for certain, but either Marvin Rosenthal adopted some of Armstrong's views on eschatology, or Armstrong adopted Kampen's view on eschatology. Either way as the old sayings goes- birds of a feather... I came across an article published by the Worldwide Church of God, the cult founded by H. Armstrong. I was amazed to find that these people hold to the identical view of Rosenthal when it comes to the Great Tribulation as being totally distinct from the Day of the Lord. Here is how they explain it: "Is the 'Great Tribulation' the same event as the 'Day of the Lord'? No. They are totally different....The Great Tribulation is not the time of God's wrath, but rather the time of the wrath of Satan the devil....The Day of the Lord is clearly shown here [in Matt. 24] to come after the heavenly signs [of Matt. 24:29]. The time order is: first, the Tribulation-Satan's wrath; second, the heavenly signs; third, the Day of the Lord-God's intervention. The same time sequence is revealed in Revelation 6, speaking of the seven seals. The fifth seal represents the Great Tribulation, followed by the heavenly signs, then the Day of the Lord or God's wrath (verses 9-17)" -The Good News of the World Tomorrow, March 1986, p. 13. Hence, some of Rosenthal's ideas are not new. The Worldwide Church of God cult has been teaching these things since 1986 and probably long before that. In closing, the entirety of the PW's center of gravity seems hyper-focused on adding confusion to what the word of God says. Wrath is not wrath. Tribulation is not tribulation. The Day of the Lord is not the Day of the Lord. The Church is not the Church. Israel is not Israel. Seven years is not seven years. They seem bent on wanting to overly complicate the simple, and completely dismiss the obvious. There are three simple truths we must always keep in mind when regarding our Christian faith.
As I stated at the beginning, the Bible only teaches ONE eschatological view, and that view is the TRUE pre wrath position, which is the Pre-Tribulation (or Pre-70th Week) Rapture of the Church. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore, if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. Revelation 3:3 Why is pressure mounting between the U.S. and Iran? - Ron Kampeas - https://www.jpost.com/printarticle.aspx?id=589385 The Trump administration sees Iran's behavior as another instance of why it pulled the U.S. out of the deal in the first place: the Iranian regime is not trustworthy. Iran announced this week that it is changing a key term of the Iran nuclear deal - and plans to make an even more dramatic change in 60 days if partners don't ease conditions. The partners - Europe chief among them - complained, loudly. But so did an ex-partner: the United States. The Trump administration immediately retaliated, expanding sanctions on Iran after Tehran said it would fiddle with a deal that the Trump administration thinks should be null and void. "Hey, this is binary. You're either in compliance or you're not," Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in Baghdad on Tuesday, a day before Iranian President Hassan Rouhani announced the change, and at the same time that the Trump administration was celebrating the one-year anniversary of pulling out of the deal. (Reports of Rouhani's planned announcement had already emerged.) Pompeo's statements sound a little confusing to observers who have followed the Trump administration's stance on the deal. Trump has called the agreement the "worst" deal ever. So what's going on? The answer is that the Trump administration sees Iran's behavior as another instance of why it pulled the U.S. out of the deal in the first place: the Iranian regime is not trustworthy. "Cheating just a little bit is still cheating. And in the context of Iran's nuclear commitments, it will not be tolerated," Brian Hook, the State Department's special representative for Iran, said Wednesday at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. "If the clerics in Tehran choose, as the Iranian people are demanding, to play by the rules, respect the sovereignty of their neighbors, and abide by international obligations and commitments, the United States will be ready and willing to engage." What Iran is planning: Under the 2015 deal, Iran was permitted to enrich uranium for peaceful medical research purposes but was required to sell its surplus. Iran is now immediately keeping its surplus low-enriched uranium, which it had sold overseas. Low enriched uranium may be repurposed to make nuclear weapons. In 60 days, unless its partners take steps to ease its economic isolation, Iran has threatened to remove caps on uranium enrichment levels and resume work on its Arak plutonium nuclear facility. How the Trump administration reacted: It added new sanctions on Iran's metals sector, on top of sanctions already on Iran's financial and energy sectors. How partners to the deal reacted: The European Union and three signatories to the deal, Britain, France and Germany, demanded Iran to stick to the deal and urged the United States to butt out. "We regret the re-imposition of sanctions by the United States following their withdrawal from the JCPOA," a joint statement said, using the acronym for the deal's name, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. "We call on countries not party to the JCPOA to refrain from taking any actions that impede the remaining parties' ability to fully perform their commitments." Russia and China, the other parties to the deal, are equally as committed to making it work. What the Trump administration wants: They want the deal to collapse and for Iran to acquiesce to its demands that it end all nuclear activity; that Iran stop producing ballistic missiles; that it stop interfering in the region and elsewhere (the United States sees Iran's malign hand in Yemen, Iraq and Syria, and as far afield as Venezuela); and that it improve human rights for its citizens. Is the pressure working? The Trump administration thinks so. "For the first time in a very long time, we are raising the costs of Iran's expansionism and making clear that this kind of blackmail will no longer work," Hook said. "We are making it unsustainable for Iran to support terrorist proxies and militias that for decades have defied the basic standards of behavior observed by normal countries." He listed, among other consequences, the effective expulsion of Iran from the SWIFT international financial messaging system and the admission by Hezbollah, Iran's ally in Lebanon, that it is starved for cash. The other partners to the deal are committed to resisting the pressure, and the Europeans are pressing ahead with plans to set up a complex barter system, INSTEX, that would work around the U.S. sanctions. What happens next? Someone blinks. John Bolton, Trump's national security adviser, last week announced the deployment of extra forces to the region to counter what the United States says is Iran's heightened menace. He cited, but did not define, "troubling and escalatory indications and warnings" from Iran. Trump, reportedly wary of Bolton's overseas interventionism, might want to replicate his direct overtures to North Korea by talking directly with Iran. (No predecessor ever did: The Obama administration stuck to multilateral talks.) "What I'd like to see with Iran, I'd like Iran to call me," he said Thursday at a White House briefing with reporters on planned reforms to medical billing. That Day is Coming - By Daymond Duck - https://www.raptureready.com/2019/05/12/day-coming-daymond-duck/ Several news articles caught my attention this week, but I have decided to focus on just one because of the length and because this strikes me as being so important. On April 29, 2019, the UN Security Council met to discuss the Middle East Conflict. Nations were allowed to express their concern about Pres. Trump's peace plan. There were calls for the Promised Land to be divided along the pre-1967 lines. Israel's Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, spoke on behalf of Israel. Among other things (this is not a full text of his message as presented), Mr. Danon told the UN Security Council and the nations that were there, "Israel's existence derives legitimacy from four things: the Bible, history, legality and the pursuit of international peace and security." Holding up the Bible (the first pillar), Mr. Danon said, "This is our deed to our land. From the book of Genesis; to the Jewish exodus from Egypt; to receiving the Torah on Mount Sinai; to the gates of Cana'an; and to the realization of God's covenant in the Holy Land of Israel; the Bible paints a consistent picture. The entire history of our people, and our connection to Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel), begins right here." Mr. Danon added, "It is not just the Hebrew Bible, or the 15 million Jews worldwide that accept this right; it is accepted across all three monotheistic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The Koran itself accepts the divine deed of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel." "Mr. President, the second pillar is the history of the land of Israel and the Jewish people over the past two millennia. The Jewish Kingdom in Eretz Yisra'el comprised twelve tribes. The largest of those tribes, the Tribe of Judah, lived in the area now known as Judea (what the world calls the West Bank). You all know the words "Jew" and "Jewish." "Jew" and "Jewish" come from Judea. This was the Kingdom over which King David and King Solomon ruled. It was a kingdom with Jerusalem as its capital." "Even the Romans themselves admitted the land was ours. Those of you who have visited Rome may have seen that Emperor Titus famously commemorated his victory and the Jewish expulsion by building an enormous arch on the Via Sacra in Rome. If you look at the Arch (Arch of Titus in Rome), it includes an illustration of his men carrying away the menorah from the Jewish Temple." "The Romans attempted to destroy that link by renaming the land Palestina. This is how the narrow strip of land in Eretz Yisrael, nestled between Egypt in the south and Lebanon in the north, came to be called 'Palestine.' For two millennia, Jews across the world continued to pray three times every day for our long- awaited return home to Zion and Jerusalem. As we just said on Passover last week, as we do every year, 'Next year in Jerusalem!'" Concerning the third pillar, International Law, Mr. Danon cited the Balfour Declaration, the 1922 mandate of the League of Nations, and the 1945 UN Charter that legalized the establishment of a Jewish homeland in the Promised Land. On this issue, it is this writer's understanding that International Law says when one nation attacks another nation, and the attacking nation loses territory, the lost territory belongs to the nation they attacked. Put another way: In 1967, five nations gathered troops, tanks and other weapons near the borders of Israel in preparation for an attack on Israel. Israel launched a pre-emptive strike and captured East Jerusalem, the Temple Mount, the West Bank and more. According to International Law, that land now belongs to Israel. Before the war began, Israel sent word to the king of Jordan, "If you will keep your nation out of the war, no harm will come to Jordan." Jordan ignored Israel, sided with the attackers, lost East Jerusalem, the Temple Mount, and the West Bank; so, according to International Law, those areas now belong to Israel. Concerning the fourth pillar, peace and security (peace and safety), these are the words that will begin the Tribulation Period. It is interesting to this writer that Mr. Danon told the UN Security Council the Bible is Israel's deed to the Promised Land just weeks before Pres. Trump's peace proposal is to be released. If the UN divides the Promised Land, they will have to set aside the Bible, set aside historical facts, set aside International Law, and seek peace and safety on their terms, not God's terms. God is in control, and He told the nations the consequences of dividing the Promised Land and declaring peace and safety on their own terms (Joel 3:1-2; I Thess. 5:3). That day is coming. Prophecy Plus Ministries, Inc. Daymond & Rachel Duck [email protected] Israel Watch: Palestinian Propaganda Rockets Forward - Jim Fletcher - www.harvest.org In the ongoing ideological war against Israel, the Palestinians are as usual lying about civilian deaths in the recent rocket attacks from Hamas, and Israel's response. From May 4-6, Israel responded to the hundreds of rocket attacks from Gaza; four Israeli civilians were murdered. Of the 23 Palestinians killed, 17 were from Palestinian terror groups, including Islamic Jihad, Hamas, Fatah, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). Ashraf al-Qidra, a spokesman for the ministry of health in the Gaza Strip, reported that 27 Palestinians were killed, but he did not provide names or details. This was because when the terrorists (and their friends in global media) accuse Israel of murder, they do not want people to know the circumstances of those deaths. For example: "The list issued by the spokesman for the ministry of health's list also included a pregnant woman and an infant who were killed when a rocket fired by the terrorist organizations misfired (see below), and an unborn baby still in its mother's womb when she was killed. (The mother belonged to the Hamas security forces)." This information was provided by the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center. In a notice released by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the eight men of this unit were pictured, under the heading "Men of the Victory." Needless to say, the whole affair was another disaster for the Palestinians, yet the mindless propaganda deludes the population into believing they "won" something over Israel! Among the terrorists killed: "Abdallah Abd al-Rahim al-Mahoun, 22, from western Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip. Killed in an attack on his father's house in the northern Gaza Strip (Ashraf al-Qidra's Facebook page, May 5, 2019). Three civilians were killed along with him. The PIJ's military wing said Abdallah al-Madhoun, from western Beit Lahia, was an operative in its ranks (Jerusalem Brigades website, May 5, 2019)." Did you catch that? Three civilians were killed alongside him. This is the cult of death known as Gaza Strip society. One picture this week showed an Israeli man covering another and the man's small child as rocket sirens blared. Here is the stark contrast between Israelis and Arabs: one side prioritizes life, while the other glorifies death and murder. Here's a short profile of another terrorist killed: "Talal Atiya Muhammad Abu al-Jadyan, 46, killed in an attack on the Sheikh Zaeid Towers in the northern Gaza Strip (al-Quds, May 6, 2019). The PFLP issued a mourning notice for him, indicating he was member of the organization (PFLP website, May 6, 2019). He was detained in Israel during the first intifada. Worked as a security guard in al-Awda Hospital (affiliated with the PFLP) in the northern Gaza Strip." If he was detained during the First Intifada (in the 1980s), he was merely a teenager when he got involved in terrorist activities. This buttresses claims by Israel that Palestinians are raised on a culture of death from the cradle up. This is unconscionable, but the international community insanely blames Israel for the violence. Finally, I would like to give you the name of Maria Ahmed Ramadan al-Ghazali, a four-month-old killed in an Israeli strike. She was put in harm's way by her mother, Iman Abdullah Musa Asraf, an officer in the Hamas security forces! Here in America, we are preparing to celebrate Mother's Day on Sunday. Most of us have wonderful mothers, and we honor them for their sacrifices and love for us. Yet in Gaza, a baby was put in harm's way by her own mother, herself raised on a diet of hatred and death. For those of us who are Christian believers, we can take solace in the fact that little Maria is now free from the grip of the demonic Allah, and now sees the face of the true God. Like many of you, I long for the day when the Messiah will put down all this madness once and for all and usher-in righteousness in all the earth. May it happen today, Lord. [email protected] Daily Jot: US Congressman admits coup attempt - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com Finally, a member of Congress admitted that the deep state, the Democratic Party, the Hillary Clinton campaign, and the media were attempting a coup against a duly elected President. Representative Louie Gohmert (R-TX) Friday told Breitbart Daily News, "This came very close to being the first successful coup since our Constitution went into effect in 1789. We are not having it, and we're going to put people in jail that were part of this. That's got to happen."This is a public admission by an elected official that our government was in danger of being overthrown. Unlike military coups, this continues to be a coup attempt pitting political will against legal principles to undermine the will of the people. Here's why this is dangerous. Gohmert told Breitbart News, "It's time for Republicans to say, 'Enough already. You have put this country through hell. You have let these ridiculous allegations that we now see are totally bogus get you the majority in the House.' But if the American people will wake up, and I hope that they will, I think that they are, it seems like things are indicating that, then it's time for anybody with an R or D beside their names that's going to preserve the Constitution--make no mistake, we are in a constitutional crisis--to stand up and say, 'Enough already.'" Democratic Party leaders also are saying that America is in a Constitutional crisis, but few are pointing out that the Democratic leadership and the news media created the crisis. The Daily Jot has been one of the few news outlets reporting that the nefarious machinations of these powerful political forces have been attempting a coup. All the while they were sending the narrative that President Donald Trump would not accept the results of the election if he lost, but they are the ones who will not accept the election results. They used a secret court to get legal ground to spy on Trump's campaign and transition team in an effort to undermine his presidency, obstruct the workings of government, and to remove Trump from office. My personal opinion, however, is that no one high up will ever go to jail over this because sedition laws require "force" to be used against the government. The intent here has been cunningly obscured. Many Christians write me saying that as Christians, our attention is to be focused on a higher kingdom. They claim government and affairs of America should be of no interest to Christians. I couldn't disagree more. Our Constitution guarantees religious freedom and free speech. This has resulted in America being a beacon of Christ in spreading the gospel both in America and around the world. We are blessed beyond imagination because of religious freedom. To say that the affairs of government are of no interest to Christians is an ignorant position. Romans 12:21 says, "Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." Moreover, being so heavenly minded that one is no earthly good is become a predominant reason why the nation and its citizens are exiting Christianity. Perhaps, that's the real coup-one by the devil. If ever there was a time to invest in God's Kingdom, it's now! What on earth are you doing for Heaven's Sake? "Share in the Blessings and Rewards that will last Forever!" "Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey 1) We need your prayers!- We proclaim the Truth of the Word of God and we are under constant spiritual and sometimes even physical attack. 2) We need your encouragement!- We need to hear from you, let us know how the Lord is blessing you through this ministry so that we can share it with others. 3) We need your input! - If you have a prophetic article or story or if there is a news related item we missed, let us know. 4) We need your financial support!- To put it quite simply, without your support, there would be no Prophecy Update.
