It's true that the Antichrist won't be revealed until after the rapture; however, no student of Bible prophecy can deny that the rapture and the Tribulation are at the door. Therefore, one must logically assume that he is at this moment hiding in plain sight. Yes, the brethren are to watch for Christ's appearing to take us Home before that wicked one is revealed. But when one is looking up, one must also be aware of what is going on around them. As for the False Prophet, surely this man with "horns like a lamb but who speaks like a dragon" is hiding in plain sight as well. How are the left-behind going to know what to look for unless we give them some ideas based on what the Bible says? Aren't we to be watchmen on the wall to warn people of the dangers? I fully intend to let those who may be left behind know who is paving the way for the prophesied one-world government and one-world religion that will ultimately be headed up by the Antichrist and the False Prophet, whomever they turn out to be. Before discussing two leaders who are playing a big part in the globalist agenda, we'll see what the Bible says about the demonic duo that will be guided by Satan in the Tribulation. The Antichrist will rise suddenly from obscurity: "A little horn" (Daniel 7:8; 8:9). Daniel 8:23 tells us how the Antichrist will rise to world power. "When the transgressors have run their course, a king will arise, insolent and skilled in intrigue." (Insolent: "showing a rude and arrogant lack of respect.") "He shall deal with the strongest fortresses with the help of a foreign god. Those who acknowledge him he shall load with honor. He shall make them rulers over many and shall divide the land for a price" (Daniel 11:39). He will rule a ten-nation confederacy: "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy" (Revelation 13:1). At first, the Antichrist will appear to be a man of peace by "confirming a covenant with many" (Daniel 9:27). But midway through the seven-year-tribulation, the Antichrist will desecrate the rebuilt temple, proclaim himself to be God, and use his army to conquer; he will go after the Jews and also those who turn to Christ during the Tribulation and refuse his mark of worship (Tribulation saints). "And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations" (Revelation 13:7). Paver Number One Emmanuel Macron was born to non-religious, liberal parents but decided to become a Catholic at the age of 12. He received a Jesuit education until his last year of high school. He worked as an Inspector of Finances in the French Ministry of Economy after graduating from an elite college in 2004. His mentor, Jean-Pierre Jouyet, gave Macron an accelerated course of training. Macron was also groomed by the Rothschilds and even attended a Bilderberg Summit in 2014. He worked as a Rothschild investment banker (where he became a millionaire) and later as a Socialist party government minister. Many news reports speak of his meteoric rise from obscurity. He is France's youngest head of state since Napoleon and the youngest president in France's history. He's been described as charismatic, a flatterer, intriguing, and arrogant. He is respected by European elite leaders, so much so that he appears to be the de facto leader of the European Union. He was even called Europe's Savior. He won the French presidency by 66.06% and assumed office on May 14, 2017 (Israel's 69th anniversary as a reborn nation). At that time, he also became co-prince of Andorra, a small principality located between France and Spain He is in the news this week for significant reasons. In June, he intends to form a "ten-nation coalition of the willing" and visit with the pope at the Vatican. This ten-nation coalition is "designed to prepare European armed forces to take action together in emergencies, and to bind Britain into military cooperation as it leaves the EU." The idea of a ten-nation coalition was in the planning stages before Macron became France's president. From "Ten EU Nations and a New 'Super-President'" dated April 23, 2012: "Last week a meeting attended by representatives of 10 European nations convened...in Brussels to consider creating a powerful new presidential post to lead the greatest trading bloc in the world, the European Union. EUobserver.com reported that "Ideas kicking around in a reflection group of select EU foreign ministers include merging the roles of the EU Council and European Commission presidents. A senior EU source told this website following a meeting of the club in the Val Duchesse stately home in Brussels on Thursday (April 19) that the new supremo would have more power than either Herman Van Rompuy or Jose Manuel Barroso do today... In fact, that leader will rather be drawn to that all-powerful office by flatteries (Daniel 11:21). The questions that remain are: which political personality has the charisma, the general political appeal, and perhaps the dynastic profile to be drawn into that office by flatteries?" From "10 countries for a United States of Europe" dated June 20, 2012: "Ten EU foreign ministers participating in a 'study group for the future of Europe' aim to exert pressure to transform the EU into a federation along the lines of the US. Together they have prepared...a 'Plan for transformation into a European state.' On 19 June, the ten ministers presented an initial report to the EU officials... The "study group for the future" initiated by Germany's Guido Westerwelle, which does not currently include an official French representative, proposes to put an end to the dominance of national government leaders and give greater authority to the European Commission..." Macron said he plans a "Jupiterian" presidency (like the Roman king of the gods, Jupiter, who carefully weighed his pronouncements). Another worshiped god of the Romans was Janus, who was often invoked together with Jupiter. Who was Janus? In Roman mythology, Janus was the god of doorways, gates and transitions, and of beginnings and endings, having two faces looking in opposite directions. The doors of the temple of Janus were traditionally open only during time of war, and closed to mark the end of the conflict. Thus, the temple of Janus may be used metaphorically to mean conflict or wartime." While Macron mentioned Jupiter, he deliberately failed to mention Janus - commonly known as the 'God with Two Faces'...Other than the blatant pagan worship, ancient Roman traditions declare that Jupiter cannot exist without Janus... Jupiter is first in order of importance, sure, but second to Janus in order of time. Janus is the prima, the beginning. Jupiter is the summa; the highest. Incidentally, summa also translates to 'last.' Macron was therefore making a very archaic reference, essentially calling himself the Janus AND the Jupiter, 'Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.' He was hinting in an egotistical belief of being God Incarnate...." Macron has been criticized for taking an arrogant approach, such as when he didn't conduct the traditional French presidents' Bastille Day TV interview because his thoughts are "too complex" for such a forum. Due to the backlash, he has now decided to make himself more open to his subjects. Does Macron have such visions of grandeur because of the name he was given at birth? Emmanuel means "God with us," and Macron means "a written or printed mark..." Macron has proven to be a staunch globalist. In a speech at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, he stated that Europeans must turn away from "selfish nationalism." Other statements he has made include, "I am not just a liberal movement. I come from the progressive Left. I am trying to refresh and counter the system." "Europe and the world are waiting for us to defend the spirit of Enlightenment, threatened in so many places." "Globalization can be a great opportunity." "We have to fight for a new and stronger Europe... Now is the time." Paul Zajac, a visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute on leave from the French diplomatic service, said of Macron, "Many people, especially here in Washington DC, tend to see him as a white knight of the liberal world order who challenges Trump and populism." In other words, Macron shares the global government agenda of the DC liberal politicians that President Trump is against. That's why they're so desperately trying to take Trump down. They want to wrest total power back so they can finish off the US and bring their global agenda into fruition. This week, Macron traveled to Aachen, Germany to receive the prestigious Charlemagne Prize. What's that all about and what is the significance? Charlemagne, From King of the Franks to "Holy" Roman Emperor: As the Roman Empire was falling apart, the Franks (a Germanic tribe in present-day Belgium, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and western Germany) moved their homes into the Roman Empire. By 700 AD they were the rulers of Gaul and a large part of Germania east of the Rhine. They protected the papacy and the Roman Catholic faith. Charlemagne, also known as Charles the Great, became king of the Franks and later king of the Lombards in. In an unusual move, he had himself crowned with the Iron Crown, and made the magnates of Lombardy pay homage to him at Pavia. (More on the Iron Crown shortly.) Aachen is the westernmost city in Germany, located near the borders with Belgium and the Netherlands. Aachen developed from a Roman settlement and spa, subsequently becoming the preferred medieval Imperial residence of Charlemagne and, from 936 to 1531, the place where 31 Holy Roman Emperors were crowned Kings of the Germans In 800, Charlemagne was crowned Emperor in Rome on December 25th by Pope Leo III, which began what was called the "Holy" Roman Empire. - source Charlemagne spread his empire across much of Western Europe through many wars in establishing the "Holy" Roman Empire. He was known for using his sword named Joyeuse in all thirty years of war and the 18 battles in which he fought. He had thousands killed who failed to convert to Catholicism. He was dubbed the 'father of Europe' and was a role model for Napoleon and Hitler, both of whom had visions of ruling a unified Europe. Napoleon is considered by some to be the first Antichrist, and Hitler is considered to be the second Antichrist. Napoleon saw himself as a second Charlemagne, even to the point of declaring "I am Charlemagne." Napoleon even chose Emperor Charlemagne's Roman tomb sarcophagus to accompany him on his triumphal procession through Paris in 1798, followed six years later when he had himself crowned Emperor by the pope. Hitler admired Charlemagne but felt he didn't go far enough east in his conquests. Hitler had the imperial crown and other regalia of the "Holy" Roman Empire brought from Vienna to Nuremberg. He and other senior Nazis built homes where Charlemagne had his resting place. The Third Reich claimed to be the last and true successor of the former "Holy" Roman Empire Macron is Awarded the Charlemagne Prize The Charlemagne Prize, considered today to be "the Oscar in politics," has been awarded to the founders of the European Union as well as various politicians and "dignitaries." Former president Bill Clinton wanted to build up a power in Europe, and he received the Charlemagne Prize in 2000 for doing so. It was awarded to Pope Francis in 2016 "for his moral authority in defending the fundamental values of the EU." The communiqué on the International Charlemagne Prize award states that the Pope sends a message of mercy and tolerance and underlines the need for European unity and solidarity. Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel, a former recipient of this award, was at Macron's Charlemagne award presentation as were other European dignitaries who have received the award. She said of Macron, "He has clear ideas on where and when Europe needs to evolve and has the capacity to inspire young Europeans." Macron praised Europe in his acceptance speech for maintaining 70 years of peace. He also presented his vision for the future, calling for more unity among member states. Macron went to a Catholic mass just before attending the award ceremony. The "Holy" Roman Empire British and American leaders have actually helped build a modern resurrection of the "Holy" Roman Empire. The Roman Empire may have fallen centuries ago, but it didn't really die; it just changed into a mystery form-from political to "religious," lead by the Roman bishops who had by then gained much power and influence. They even kept the emperor's title of "Pontifex Maximus" as is shown here carved on a statue at St. Peter's Basilica (8:51 mark. Warning: the video of the inside of St. Peter's Basilica is chilling). The RCC claims that the Iron Crown contains a beaten nail used at the crucifixion of Jesus should be taken about as seriously as other RCC claims. For instance: From Wikipedia: "The Holy Prepuce, or Holy Foreskin is one of several relics attributed to Jesus, a product of the circumcision of Jesus. At various points in history, a number of churches in Europe have claimed to possess Jesus' foreskin, sometimes at the same time. Various miraculous powers have been ascribed to it." Several Catholic institutions claim to have either the head of John the Baptist or various parts of his skull or body. Even the Grand Mosque of Damascus, Syria claims to have the head of John the Baptist and claim it has powers. See the various photos and read about these claims here. In his autobiography Pilgrimage to Rome, Bart Brewer (ex-priest and head of Mission to Catholics International) said, "Even Martin Luther wondered how there could be twenty-six apostles buried in Germany, when there were only twelve in the entire Bible! It is said that if all the pieces of the cross displayed in Catholic churches were assembled together, it would take a ten-ton truck to carry them. It is clear that most 'relics' are frauds. Furthermore, there is nothing in the Bible that supports the veneration of relics, even if they are genuine" (page 132). The early church was not the Roman Catholic Church, and Peter was never a pope. The early Christians were persecuted horribly by the Roman government during the Roman Empire, and this didn't stop during the "Holy" Roman Empire. Those who tried to get the Bible into the hands of the laypeople so they could read it for themselves were killed. The Protestant Reformation was a widespread revolt against the abuses and totalitarian control of the Roman Catholic Church and its unbiblical practices. Paver Number Two Pope Francis is trying to rein everyone in to the Catholic church, embracing all religions and the non-religious, leading them all to believe there are many paths to God. He believes that you will be saved just by being "good" or doing "good works." And of course those works must be done in the Catholic church. But what does the Bible say? "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6). "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:8). The church is the body of believers in Christ of which He is the head, not the pope. "And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way" (Ephesians 1:22-23). No one can deny that both Emmanuel Macron and the pope are paving the way for the future leaders of a one-world government and a one-world religion. Revelation 13 warns against both, which will be headed by the Antichrist and the False Prophet. And Revelation 17 warns us of the one-world Mother of Harlots "Mystery" Babylon religion that will be headquartered in Rome. All false religions have their roots in the original false religion that was begun in Babylon. "Children it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore, we know that it is the last hour" (John 2:18). Ultimately, man's swords and crowns will mean nothing when the King of kings and Lord of lords, Christ Jesus, returns to Earth. "Today, today, the embassy of the most powerful nation on earth, our greatest ally, the United States of America, opened here," Netanyahu said at a ceremony marking the event. "God bless the United States of America and God bless Jerusalem, the eternal undivided capital of Israel," he said. Meanwhile, the health ministry in Gaza run by Hamas, a U.S.-declared terrorist organization, claimed dozens of Palestinians protesting at the border were killed by Israeli fire. The Israeli military said it was repelling an effort by Hamas to breach the border. The Palestinians were commemorating Nakba Day, the "catastrophe" of Israel's founding 70 years ago. Netanyahu praised President Trump for his decision in December to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and move the U.S. Embassy. When the date for the embassy opening was announced in February, coinciding with the founding of Israel, PLO Secretary-General Saeb Erekat called the move a "flagrant violation of international law and agreements" signed between the Palestinians and Israel that will "destroy" the two-state solution. Sullivan, Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin, Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner, the president's daughter and adviser Ivanka Trump, and Special Representative for International Negotiations Jason Greenblatt. 'We are here to stay' Netanyahu recounted the history of the city, established, he said, as a capital by King David 3,000 years ago. "King Solomon later built the Temple, and over 2,000 years later, we got to hear the sentence 'The Temple Mount is in our hands.' We are here in Jerusalem, and we are here to stay," he said. Netanyahu compared the moment historically to the Balfour Declaration of 1917 and the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948. The Arab League planned to hold an extraordinary meeting Monday to discuss the United State's "illegal" move of its embassy to Jerusalem, reported the state news agency MENA, according to Reuters. High-level representatives to the Arab League will meet "to counter the illegal decision taken by the United States of America to transfer its embassy to Jerusalem," the report said. Iran, denouncing Trump as "feeble-minded," called on the Palestinians and the international community to engage in resistance, the Times of Israel reported. "America has entered a crisis of strategic decision-making that looks at the international arena immaturely and adventurously," said parliament speaker Ali Larijani at a conference on the Palestinian situation in Tehran. Al-Qaida leader Ayman al-Zawahiri urged Muslims to take up arms and carry out jihad against the United States, saying the embassy move was evidence that negotiations and "appeasement" have failed Palestinians, reported France 24 In a video titled "Tel Aviv is Also a Land of Muslims," Zawahiri said Trump "was clear and explicit, and he revealed the true face of the modern Crusade, where standing down and appeasement does not work with them, but only resistance through the call and jihad," according to a transcript provided by the SITE monitoring agency. Two Jewish lobby groups in the U.S. expressed opposing views of the embassy relocation. AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, called it a "momentous day for the U.S.-Israel relationship" and urged other nations to follow Washington's lead. The left-leaning J Street, meanwhile, asserted the move "has only undermined the prospects for peace, exacerbated tensions and undercut U.S. standing as an effective mediator." "This isn't policy - it's pandering to a narrow political base," said J Street president Jeremy Ben-Ami. British Prime Minister Theresa May said Monday the United Kingdom had no plans to move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, the Times of Israel reported. A spokesman noted that the U.K. expressed disagreement in December when Trump made the announcement. "The British embassy to Israel is based in Tel Aviv and we have no plans to move it," the spokesman said. Clinton, Bush, Obama supported embassy move Britain was one of 128 countries that voted in favor of a United Nations General Assembly resolution in December declaring Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel "null and void." Nine countries voted against it. The announcement in December sparked violent protests in the Middle East and a call from Hamas for an uprising against Israel. The Trump administration's move fulfilled the requirements of a 1995 law that was adopted overwhelmingly by the Senate (93-5) and the House (374-37). When Trump announced the decision, he reiterated his commitment to peace in the Middle East, noting the previous policy of not recognizing "the reality" that Jerusalem is Israel's capital brought us "no closer to a lasting peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians." The Palestinian leadership, Fatah and Hamas, claims the Jewish people have falsified their 3,000 year-old history to lay claim to Jerusalem. The holy city, the Palestinians insist, is "Palestinian" and must be the capital of a future Palestinian state. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital a milestone. "There are major moments in the history of Zionism: the Balfour Declaration, the founding of the state, the liberation of Jerusalem and Trump's announcement yesterday," he said in a video posted to social media. Hamas, meanwhile, said the decision "opens the gates of hell" and called for several days of protests. After the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 was passed, Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama signed every six months a waiver incorporated in the law allowing the president to delay its implementation for national security reasons. Trump signed the waiver in June but decided in December to finally implement the law. The three presidents who chose to delay enacting the Jerusalem Embassy Act nevertheless affirmed publicly that Jerusalem is Israel's capital, and two of them said they supported moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. Obama, a Democrat, told AIPAC in 2008 that Jerusalem "will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided. I have no illusions that this will be easy." Bush, a Republican, promised during the 2000 campaign that "as soon as I take office I will begin the process of moving the U.S. ambassador to the city Israel has chosen as its capital." And Clinton, a Democrat, entered office in 1993 saying he supported "the principle" of moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. Climate change isn't the primary concern of the globalist minions, neither demonic nor human. The concern of the minions is primarily to seduce as many of earth's inhabitants as possible into believing that humankind is destroying Mother Earth. These minions don't believe it for a second. But, they are determined to convince the world that planet Earth is a delicate organism that must be worshiped because she is the sustainer of life. The globalists' goal is to work to bring the earth's total inhabitants to less than 500,000,000 people. They-the globalists-are to be, of course, the ruling class among this sustainable population of earth dwellers. The real objective of the would-be rulers of the planet, make no mistake, is to be as gods-the same status Lucifer promised the first man and woman they would attain in the Garden. Climate change has again raised it's luciferic head in the never-ending attempt to foist the same old global-warming lie that has been on Satan's seducing agenda for recent decades. We note that at the beginning of the following report, the appeal is to the female gender in rolling out the lie. Satan is if anything consistent in his maddening methodology. The United Nations Climate Change Secretariat released its first ever annual report this week, in which it held up its "Gender Action Plan" as a key to increasing the participation of women in responding to global warming. "Climate Change is the single biggest threat to life, security and prosperity on Earth," said UN Climate Change Executive Secretary Patricia Espinosa at the roll-out of the report. "This annual report shows how UN Climate Change is doing everything it can to support, encourage and build on the global response to climate change," Espinosa said, adding that "UN Climate Change's mandate is to lead and support the global community in this international response, with the Paris Agreement and the Convention being the long-term vehicles for united global climate action." He warned that climate change is the "defining challenge of our time...yet it is still accelerating faster than our efforts to address it. Atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide are higher than they have been for 800,000 years, and they are increasing. So, too, are the catastrophic effects of our warming planet - extreme storms, droughts, fires, floods, melting ice and rising sea levels." Makes no difference that every bit of the foregoing has been debunked. It is irrelevant with these Mother Earth protectors, apparently, that remarks that include findings from 800,000 years ago are totally unsearchable. It is the same thing that William James the philosopher first said and Hitler's propagandist Josef Goebbels seized upon: Tell a lie long enough and loud enough and soon it will become accepted as truth. One fact about the human creature Lucifer instinctively knew from the beginning of his seduction: People, in their fallen condition, will for the most part, choose to worship anything rather than the God who created them. Like Lucifer himself, they want to view themselves as godlike and do things their own way. Psalms chapter 2 tells that the globalists wish to break free from the bonds of Heaven-from the governing hand the Supreme Being exerts on their capability to do what is right in their own eyes. These human minions, spurred on by the demonic minions, work incessantly to convince the rest of us that we must look at the earth as our sustainer of life. We must treat her with great reverence. We must, in effect, worship her. The lie includes the charge that those who do not follow this ecological-religious ideology-for example, Christians who don't look at planet Earth as a living organism that must be treated as deity-are sinners of the first order. We won't be among the elite 500,000,000 who ultimately will be privileged to inhabit the planet in order to make it sustainable. We who follow God's Word do have respect for the environment. We do want to do the best possible job of protecting this world that was made for us to live, work, and play upon. But, we don't consider it a goddess to be worshiped. The Lord says the following regarding the attempts by the globalist types to construct worship systems other than true worship of the True God: For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Last week, the time came when years of muscle flexing between the two countries erupted in a few initial jabs. Hours after claiming Israel's forces in the Golan Heights were targeted by Iranian rockets, Israel retaliated by firing dozens of missiles at Iranian positions in Syria. The short but fierce conflict raised fears that violence in the region might be escalating and heading toward a direct confrontation between the two enemies. The Only Way to Protect the People of Israel I am no expert on international conflict resolution. History, however, has taught me that Israel will always be in humanity's sights, and it will not be allowed to rest, precisely because of the unique role the people of Israel have toward the world: to connect "as one man with one heart" and provide a positive example of connection to humanity, i.e. to be "a light unto nations." Fulfilling this role is the remedy that can protect the people of Israel from trouble. Until we achieve a certain quality and quantity of positive connection above all our differences, we can expect tensions to continue rising. Great Jewish leaders throughout the ages circulated this message however they could. Rabbi Kalman Kalonymus wrote in Maor va Shemesh (Light and Sun): "When there are love, unity, and friendship between each other in Israel, no calamity can come upon them." Similarly, Rabbi Shmuel Bornsztain wrote in Shem mi Shmuel (A Name Out of Samuel): "When Israel are as one man with one heart, they are as a fortified wall against the forces of evil." Likewise, Rabbi Yehuda Leib Arieh Altar, the ADMOR of Gur, stressed in Sefat Emet (True Tongue): "Israel's unity induces great salvations and removes all the slanderers. Why the World Revolves Around Israel The people of Israel act as a central junction in the human network. If we try to connect positively above our differences, we let nature's positive connective force flow through us into the entire human network. As a result, people start changing, albeit unconsciously. Connection would become more valued, and as a byproduct, the attitude toward the people of Israel would become more positive. On the other hand, failure to invest in enhancing human connection invites the negative force to further fuel humanity's subconscious, enabling the flames of hatred to rise higher and higher in our direction. Therefore, in the situation at hand with Iran, it is only a matter of time before the people of Israel will be judged as those to blame for the tension. Israel Currently Working Against its Divine Mission In periods when such tensions escalate to all-out war, the climax of fear momentarily connects us. We stop caring about our internal disputes and all focus on protecting ourselves from the external threat. However, such temporary connection has no lasting strength. That is, the moment the external threat goes away, we continue business-as-usual, and all our internal disputes again take center stage. Therefore, while time is still tilted in our favor, we should concern ourselves with initiating our connection through positive incentives. The world is waiting for us to carry out our fateful mission: to infuse it with positive connection. The more we can inspire relations of care, kindness and love to each other above our divisive inclinations, the more we will pave the path for a key attitude shift to sweep over humanity. It is my hope that we will use our ambitious energy to enliven our connection and spread it to the world sooner rather than later, instead of waiting for turmoil and suffering to goad us from the other end of the spectrum. Daily Jot: The Peace of Jerusalem - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com What presidents since 1995 said they were going to do, but exercised a Congressional waiver instead, President Donald Trump officially recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moved the US Embassy there. Trump said, "Presidents issued these waivers under the belief that delaying the recognition of Jerusalem would advance the cause of peace...It would be folly to assume that repeating the exact same formula would now produce a different or better result. Therefore, I have determined that it is time to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel... Israel is a sovereign nation with the right like every other sovereign nation to determine its own capital. Acknowledging this as a fact is a necessary condition for achieving peace." Pastors John Hagee and Robert Jeffress were on hand to bless the Embassy and pray for the peace of Jerusalem, as did Rabbi Zalman Wolowik. They cited Psalm 122:6, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee." But there was everything but peace in the reporting of this "religious" role in the dedication of the Embassy. Of course, the mainstream media-including AP, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, NY Times and more-severely criticized Hagee and Jeffress for their conservative stances on Christianity and Israel, referring to them as bigots, Islamophobes, and a host of other "isms" and "phobes." The media seemed to align with the religion of peace (Islam), whose representatives were rioting and committing acts of terror due to the US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Turkey's dictator Recep Tayipp Erdogan said, "Israel is a terrorist state." Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri said that the move allows "Israel to spill more blood of innocent Palestinians and increases the intensity of extremism that threatens the world community." Iran's Foreign Minister called it "a day of great shame" and referred to Israel as "the world's largest open air prison." The Arab League issued a statement saying that the Embassy move is a "blatant attack on the feelings of Arabs and Muslims," and it called on the international community to oppose this "unjust decision." All of these people claimed that Israel was massacring Palestinians, ignoring that they were violently storming Israel's border. It should be obvious to anyone with discernment that those who dedicated the US Embassy in Jerusalem want peace, are called to peace, and are willing to work toward peace, though they may know that there will be no real peace until the return of the Messiah. Those who are so worked up over the declaration of Jerusalem as Israel's capital are the ones supporting violence for anything that remotely gives the appearance of recognizing Israel's right to exist. Sadly, the godless news media continuously shows its ignorance of Holy Scripture and its bias against those who speak truth. At the same time, the media perpetuates the agenda of those who are driven by such hate that they want all Jews driven into the sea. Indeed, we need to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Jeremiah Lanphier was a businessman who began a lunchtime prayer meeting on Fulton Street in downtown New York. A handful of people showed up at the first meeting on September 23, 1857 at North Dutch Church. Lanphier was persistent, however, and the group continued to meet for prayer and continued to grow. Then something dramatic took place: The New York stock market crashed. Suddenly the prayer meeting began to explode. Prayer meetings quickly popped up throughout New York City, and within six months, ten thousand people were gathering for prayer in the Big Apple. It was unexplainable. They were renting concert halls and Broadway theatres for daily 6:00 AM, 9:00 AM, and noon meetings, packing them out as men and women called on the name of the Lord. And God began to work. It was reported that 50,000 New Yorkers came to know the Lord during a period of three months in 1858, from March to May. Ten thousand people were added to church membership rolls weekly. The revival spread to other cities as well, and when it was all over, an estimated one million people had come to faith in Christ. This revival from 1857 to 1859 became part of what is known as the Third Great Awakening in the United States. The revival wasn't orchestrated. It wasn't a campaign planned by people. It simply was a work of God in which God poured out His Spirit. We need to see that today. Jeremiah Lanphier was not a great preacher. He was not a famous person. He was just an ordinary person who decided to pray. And you can do the same.
