https://www.raptureready.com/2020/05/24/at-hand-by-daymond-duck/ A reader recently e-mailed me Hal Lindsey's quote, "The coming of the Lord is at hand" (James 5:8). This great prophecy teacher pointed out that "at hand" does not mean that the Rapture would happen in the next few years (although it could have). "At hand" means the Rapture will happen at any time and without warning. "At hand" is an admonition for everyone in every generation to be ready to go at any moment, all the time. There is a lot of misunderstanding about this issue. God told Adam if he ate of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he would die in that day (Gen. 2:17). Adam ate the fruit, but he did not die within 24 hours; he died when he was 930 years old (Gen.5:5). 1,000 years in man's eyes are like one day to God (Psa. 90:4; II Pet. 3:8). Some Christians believe that "last days" sometimes refers to days 5, 6 and 7 of a 7,000 year cycle (two 1,000-year God-days called the Church Age and one 1,000-year God-day called the Millennium (Heb. 1:1-2; I Pet. 1:20; James 5:3; II Pet. 3:3). The first 4 God-days (4,000 years; equivalent to our Sun., Mon., Tue. and Wed.) ran from Adam to the first coming of Jesus. The last 3 God-days (last 3,000 years; 2 days of Church Age and 1 day of rest called the Millennium; equivalent to our Thur., Fri. and Sat.) run from the first coming of Jesus to the end of the millennium. Don't forget that Peter called the beginning of the Church on Pentecost the fulfillment of Joel's prophecy of the last days (Acts 2:16-18). Days 5 and 6 (two 1,000-year God-days) began when the Holy Spirit was "poured out" on Pentecost (Acts 2:17), and they will end when the Holy Spirit is "taken out" of the way at the Rapture of the Church (II Thess. 2:7). It is debatable, but according to Catholic tradition, Jesus was crucified and the Church began in 30 A.D. (others say 30-33 A.D.). Now, take note of the fact that the UN goal of a world government by 2030 is exactly 2,000 years or two God-days from the possible beginning of the Church. Below are more reasons to believe that the Church could be in the last hours of the Church Age (last hours of the last days on God's clock). One, concerning tracking everyone, a new bill called the "Covid-19 Testing, Reaching, And Contacting Everyone (TRACE) Act has passed and been signed. TRACE originated in the House of Representatives and, for some strange reason, it is numbered H.R. 6666. H.R. 6666 appropriates $100 billion to trace and monitor people that have come in contact with someone that has (or has had) the Coronavirus, plus it hints at more money for future use (monitoring that could extend into the Tribulation Period). Monitoring includes mobile testing stations; visiting people in their homes, if necessary; requiring (forcing) people to be tested for the Coronavirus; and "other purposes" (a phrase with ominous overtones). This is more evidence that the Mark of the Beast prophecy is literal, and the Tribulation Period could be close. Two, in mid-May 2020, the Mayor of Los Angeles, Cal., said he intends to send city employees and volunteers to visit defiant businesses that are open and urge them to voluntarily close. People that refuse to voluntarily close will have their water and electricity shut off (city will not sell, and businesses will not be allowed to buy water and electricity). Farag at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPvghpK3oxk Three, on May 12, 2020, the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Dr. Anthony Fauci, was addressing a U.S. Senate Committee about the development of a vaccine for the coronavirus when he said he is cautiously optimistic, but "There's no guarantee that the vaccine is actually going to be effective." Pray that an effective vaccine will be found but know that man cannot do anything without God's permission, and make sure you are saved in case He does not grant it. Four, on May 11, 2020, Israel announced that Israel's Health Ministry will immediately start offering voluntary blood tests at existing clinics. Israel's health officials believe some people may have been exposed to the virus and developed an immunity to it. These officials plan to test 100,000 volunteers for antibodies that show an immunity. If some people are immune to the virus, they do not need to be vaccinated or quarantined; they can go back to work, travel, etc. If this is true, a law requiring everyone on earth to be vaccinated and tattooed may be unnecessary. Five, on May 15, 2020, Executives at Sorrento Therapeutics in California said they have discovered a Coronavirus antibody that has been 100% effective in lab tests. They said the antibody will protect healthy cells from the virus and get rid of it in 4 days. Six, concerning world religion and his departing from the faith, on May 10, 2020, possible (emphasis on possible) False Prophet, Pope Francis said, "I believe that should he (Trump) be re-elected, God will abandon all of his blessings upon America, and may see fit to raze it down, as Sodom and Gomorrah." Pope Francis should know that the problem in Sodom and Gomorrah was homosexuality, not people like Trump (Gen. 19:1-28). Pope Francis has departed from the traditional Roman Catholic teaching (and the teaching of Pope Benedict) that homosexuality is unchristian. Concerning America's future, Anne Graham Lotz (Billy Graham's daughter) said it well, "For years we've (American's have) been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the Gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?" Seven, on May 14, 2020, U.S. Sec. of State Mike Pompeo was in Israel to: 1) try to advance Pres. Trump's Peace to Prosperity proposal, and 2) to discuss the Israeli annexation of parts of Judea and Samaria. These two issues relate to prophecies that must happen after the Rapture. The Antichrist must confirm a covenant of peace before the Tribulation Period can begin (Dan. 9:27; there could be swift movement after the rapture of the Church, plus many Arabs are beginning to move away from the Palestinians and toward Israel). The Palestinians want all Jews out of Judea and Samaria, but Jesus revealed that there will be a Temple, and Jews living in Judea at the middle of the Tribulation Period (Matt. 24:15-16). In exchange for Israel's written assurance that Israel will make an honest effort to negotiate a final peace treaty with the Palestinians, the U.S. is ready to recognize Israel's annexation of about 30% of Judea and Samaria (There has been some wavering in Israel because of threats from the UN, EU, Palestinians, Jordan and others, but at this time it looks like Israel plans to vote on it around July l, 2020). Advancing Trump's peace proposal and annexing 30% of Judea and Samaria does not mean that the Tribulation Period is close (the Ten Kings haven't appeared, Elijah hasn't appeared, etc.), but it seems evident that the Tribulation Period is shaping up, and dividing Israel has ominous implications for the Battle of Armageddon (Joel 3:2). Prime Min. Netanyahu said, "I think that this (Israel's new government) is an opportunity to promote peace and security (peace and safety), based on the understandings that I reached with President Trump (during) my last visit in Washington in January." The promotion of peace and safety is a major sign that the Tribulation Period could be close (I Thess. 5:3), and Trump's peace proposal is like fuel on a fire. The creation of a map by Israel and the U.S. that will divide the Promised Land (if agreed to) and set aside 70% of Judea and Samaria for a potential Palestinian State, the freezing of Israeli construction on 70% of Judea and Samaria for four years, and the abandonment of 10,000 Jews to Palestinian control transgress the warnings of God. Finally, there is always hope for every individual and nation. God is all-powerful, God can destroy, God can deliver, and God offers hope to individuals and nations that do not know Him or that have abandoned Him (Jer. 1:10; II Chron. 7:14). But the Bible is very clear that truly accepting Jesus as one's Lord and Saviour is the only way to be saved (John 14:6; Acts 4:12), and the Rapture is the only hope of the terminal generation (Titus 2:13). Be sure that you are trusting in Jesus and nothing else, draw close to Him, repent of your sins, and no matter what happens you will come out on top (Joel 2:11-13). Daymond & Rachel Duck [email protected] Iran: The Ayatollah, Amid Coronavirus, Calls for Jihad Against the Jewish State - by Majid Rafizadeh - https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/16062/iran-khamenei-jihad-israel Instead of concentrating on assisting and improving the living standards of its citizens, the ruling mullahs of Iran seem to be prioritizing the advancement of their anti-Semitic agenda. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei recently called Israel a "cancerous tumor to be destroyed," promised "to support any nation or group that fights Israel," and urged the Palestinian militant groups to cooperate more closely with each other and "expand the field of jihad in all Palestinian lands." The Iranian regime has, since its Islamic revolution of 1979, been among the world's leading sponsors of terrorist organizations that target Israel. Some of the leaders of terrorist groups have surprisingly admitted that Tehran is their military and financial lifeline and that their survival depends on Iran. Ismail Haniyeh, for instance, the head of Hamas's political bureau, recently praised the Iranian regime for being its foremost financial and military supporter. He pointed out in a video speech on May 20: "The essence of this strategy is the resistance project. Complete resistance including the armed military resistance at the top. From here, I salute all the components of the nation that embrace and support the choice of resistance on the ground in Palestine". He emphasized that he was particularly specifying the Islamic Republic of Iran, "which has not faltered in supporting and funding the resistance financially, militarily, and technically. This is an example of the Republic's strategy that was established by Imam Khomeini, may God have mercy on his soul". Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, a Lebanese Shiite militant group, also acknowledged previously that Hezbollah's survival depends on Iran: "We are open about the fact that Hezbollah's budget, its income, its expenses, everything it eats and drinks, its weapons and rockets, come from the Islamic Republic of Iran," he said. He also pressed the notion that his group "will not be affected" by any type of sanctions. In his latest speech, Iran's supreme leader said that "The Zionist regime is a... deadly... detriment to this region. It will undoubtedly be uprooted and destroyed." Iran's state-owned newspapers followed up with similar anti-Israel threats. The front-page headline of Iran's leading newspaper Kayhan read, "Victory over Virus of Zionism Guaranteed: Leader". Khamenei's official website recently featured a poster image with the text "Palestine Will Be Free. The final solution: Resistance until referendum." Those people in the West who call Iran's Foreign Minister Javad Zarif a moderate, should be aware that he posted on Twitter the same image with the Nazi euphemism, along with these comments: "Disgusting that those whose civilization found a 'Final Solution' in gas chambers attack those who seek a real solution at the ballot box, through a REFERENDUM. Why are US and West so afraid of democracy? Palestinians should not have to pay for your crimes, or for your guilt." Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, reacted by stating: "Khamenei's threats to realize the 'final solution' against Israel are reminiscent of the Nazi 'final solution' plan for the destruction of the Jewish people. He must know that any regime that threatens Israel with extermination will find itself in similar danger." Khamenei thoughtfully replied that he did not mean destroying the Jewish people, just Israel. It is mystifying that Twitter, which wantonly censors so much, continues to allow Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif and other Iranian leaders to spread Nazi-inspired language and anti-Semitic sentiments on its platform. In general, "Big Tech" -- Google, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter -- have long since ceased being "neutral" transmitters of information as if they were "utilities". Instead, they have become America's Thought Police. They urgently need to be regulated the same way media is. Regarding Iran, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo accurately accused Khamenei and Zarif of "echoing Hitler's call for genocide" and in a tweet, responded: "Incredible that @JZarif and Iran's Supreme Leader are echoing Hitler's call for genocide. This depravity should dispel any notion the regime belongs in the community of nations. We stand with Germany and Israel against this oldest & most vile form of hatred, and say #NeverAgain." The ruling mullahs of Iran need to be held accountable by the international community for threatening to annihilate a fellow- member of the United Nations, the Jewish state. Not only are these threats unacceptable according to Chapter I: Article 2(1)-(5) of the Charter of the United Nations... which states: "All Members shall refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state...". They are also unacceptable as part of a double-standard in which the United Nations and the international community continue to be silent about Iran's threats against Israeli citizens -- not to mention Iran's malign actions against its own citizens. Imagine if the situation were reversed, and Israel threatened to annihilate Iran: the international community would likely be up in arms to defend the Iranian regime. Perhaps the time has come -- in fact is long overdue -- for the U.S. to cease funding the UN, which seems only to conserve injustice and war. At the very least, the US, instead of automatically handing over roughly a quarter of the UN's budget every year - in 2017, for instance, the listed US payment was more than $10 billion, an amount that has surely not decreased since then - instead, as the former US former ambassador, John. R. Bolton, suggested, the US should start "paying only for what the country wants-and [expect] to get what it pays for. " Under no circumstances should the US, the UN or any other entity -- read: Europe -- be assisting in any way the malign mullahs of Iran. Kings Of The East Solidifying Power - The End Of Hong Kong As We Know It? - By Arielle Del Turco/Family Research Council - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=4070 "The arms of tyranny have reached Hong Kong," declared pro-democracy lawmaker Ted Hui. The Chinese government has taken advantage of the quiet streets of Hong Kong -- just months ago filled with hundreds of thousands of protesters -- to push an extensive national security law for Hong Kong through parliament. Critics say this overreach by the Beijing marks the end of the freedom and autonomy that has enabled Hong Kong to thrive. Last year, pro-democracy protesters made international headlines for their fierce defense of Hong Kong's autonomy from mainland China over an extradition bill which would have allowed its citizens to be extradited to China. Hong Kong currently operates under a unique "one country, two systems" policy agreed upon before the British returned Hong Kong to China in 1997. The city has flourished thanks to its freedom and because it has evaded the tight grip of the Chinese Communist Party. Pro-democracy activist do not want their city to look like the Chinese mainland, which suffers from countless human rights and religious freedom violations. In contrast, Hong Kong has operated with a high degree of economic, political, and religious freedom -- freedoms most Hong Kongers refuse to relinquish without a fight. Pro-democracy protesters ultimately succeeded in killing the extradition bill last year, and their momentum scares Beijing. The freedom-loving people of Hong Kong are proving difficult to control for the Chinese Communist Party. So much so that Beijing is unveiling a new legislative plan to control them. So, what does Beijing's new legislation mean for the future of Hong Kong? Chinese officials have said the sweeping plan includes creating new laws and a new enforcement mechanism for addressing what they deem to be national security threats in Hong Kong. The new law will criminalize anything the government chooses to classify a secessionist activities and subversion of state power. The accusation of subversion of state power will be familiar to Chinese Christians. Just a few months ago, well-known house church pastor Wang Yi was sentenced to nine years in prison for "subversion of state power." With so-called "national security" laws like these, religious freedom may be at risk in Hong Kong as well. One thing is sure -- the Chinese government doesn't tolerate dissent or any set of beliefs it may feel threatened by. The pro-democracy protest movement last year was a challenge to Beijing, one they are now cracking down on. Pro-democracy protest leader Joshua Wong took to Twitter to highlight the risks of this new legislation: "The new National Security Law in HK will kill future democratic movements, since all pro-democracy protests in the city can be classified as attempts of subversions of China's authority, just like how the Beijing does in China." Activists say this law will effectively silence the people of Hong Kong. The free world should not stand by silently as Beijing assaults Hong Kong's autonomy with stunning speed. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) introduced a resolution this week condemning the Chinese government's proposed national security law, calling it a violation of the Sino-British Joint Declaration which established the "one country, two systems" policy that protected Hong Kong. The resolution encourages the U.S. government use diplomatic means, including sanctions, to dissuade the Chinese government from passing this law. Hong Kong may feel far away, but the Chinese government has proven it has imperialist intentions which won't stop with Hong Kong. Taiwan, another free and prosperous society, is also experiencing heightened tensions with Beijing. It is important that the leaders of free countries -- including the United States -- speak out loudly and resolutely in support of Hong Kong and against Chinese aggression. This city's legacy as a free society, one which embraces a robust view of religious freedom, is at stake. To watch Hong Kong become increasingly subject to the tyrannical rule of the Chinese Communist Party is a tragedy for freedom-loving people everywhere. Israel Watch - The Disingenuous Geniuses - Jim Fletcher - [email protected] The Trump Era is pulling the curtain back on corruption at the highest levels, whether it be political, Media, etc. Although many suspected it for years, we are now seeing that leaders at all levels for a very long time have made lying into a tool to abuse the masses. When members of the intelligence community and a White House administration are now seen to have lied to the public-but told the truth under oath, "no collusion"-it is jarring. But sometimes painful realities can lead to better outcomes in the future. We will see where America goes from here. We also know of course that lying isn't confined to Washington D.C. The international community also hates the light. In addition to being immoral, they also believe they are our intellectual overlords, endowed with mental powers the rest of us mere mortals can only dream of. The outcomes of so many of their brainchilds have left devastation the world over. Nowhere more than in the Middle East. This week, the EU's Jean Asselborn, the foreign minister of Luxembourg, told Israel Hayom that Israel had better not think of annexing any "Palestinian territory." He outlined his view of the issue: "First and foremost, I am concerned that annexation will represent a lethal blow to the two-state solution. It could lead to the creation of one state founded on inequality and eternal conflict. Second, I am opposed to annexation as a matter of principle, anywhere in the world, because it is a gross violation of international law. In 2014, I opposed the illegal annexation of the Crimean Peninsula by Russia. Annexation will contribute to the collapse of the global order, based on a system of laws we constructed in the wake of the Second World War." In the wake of Israel forming a new government, still headed by Benjamin Netanyahu, there is legitimate talk of the Jewish State annexing at least 30 percent of Judea-Samaria (the West Bank). I wish they would annex all of it. For a quarter-century, the catastrophic "Oslo" plan for "peace" between Israel and the Palestinians has brought death to Israelis. The Palestinian leadership has never been committed to even a slice of peace, but instead has used political gains to squeeze Israel and become what Yasser Arafat promised would be a new front in their long war against Israel. In the interview, Asselborn made an amazing statement, one shocking even now in its brazen falsehood: "The EU doesn't support organizations affiliated with terrorism." The EU has from day one supported the Palestinians fully. The PA/PLO was, is, and will remain a prime terror entity. Asselborn knows this fully well, yet knows he has the support of the Media and most of the world's political structure. I have no doubt that they laugh uproariously behind the scenes after making such statements as above. The interview ended with this Asselborn statement: "Israel is an important friend and partner of the EU in general and of Luxembourg's in particular. I will be glad to contact my new Israeli colleague - Gabi Ashkenazi - the moment it becomes possible." The EU is no friend to Israel, but rather an implacable enemy, and everyone knows it! Everyone does the dance, including Israel's diplomatic corps. We do not live in the world we wish we lived in, which is the world to come. But the Israel Hayom interview with the EU enemy reminds us to be vigilant in our prayer life for Israel. When Trump is no longer president, the knives will come out for Israel as never before. It remains our duty to support our Jewish brothers and sisters, and the state of Israel, with our prayers and other support. Stay vigilant, Dear Reader. The storm is coming before the Bright Dawn. Daily Jot: COVID relief socialism vs the free market - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com The Democrat-controlled House of Representatives repeatedly is placing socialist elements in COVID-19 relief legislation. Things like guaranteed minimum wage (yes, that's where "stimulus" checks lead), vote by mail without voter roll clean ups, business bail-outs (targeting their favorite businesses, of course), and environmental (translated: groundwork for global warming/climate change taxes), among other things. They say all this is necessary to get the economy and the "little guy" up and running again when the country reopens. But all my sources in the nation's capitol say that the Democrats want to strangle the economy by putting off reopening to defeat President Trump and establish socialism. In the interest of fairness, I don't like the idea of each week demonizing the Democratic Party for what they are doing. Trouble is, they are the leaders in falsifying information, rigging the vote, trying to tear down the free market system, encourage immorality and do whatever they accuse their opponents of doing. Trouble with Republicans, they don't do enough to point these things out and make their case to the American people. But one thing we know for sure, government at its best does not measure up to free market enterprise. And when we look at the current COVID-19 situation, where does government stack up against the corporate environment? Well, the government has gone into tremendous debt to send out checks to everybody so they can live during this mandated quarantine of everyone. But those checks, if you have even gotten one (to date, neither my wife nor I have received anything from the government), wouldn't buy groceries for the month, let alone pay many bills. Yet in robbing Peter to pay Paul (taxing you and me to pay you and me, well, or maybe someone else), the government has created more debt and continues to make the case for more socialism. And some idiots are buying in. If you want to see what socialism does, look at Venezuela, a once prosperous and promising nation, now a crumbling monument to socialism. But corporations in America, the gemstone of the free market, have actually made a difference to save lives and comfort the sick during this pandemic. Just one example: The NFL and NFL players alone have surpassed over $120 million. In addition to companies giving money, many have retooled to make life-saving equipment. The socialists say, "Well they get a tax break for doing this." Yes, exactly. That's the point. Socialism is forced, the free market is voluntary and based on incentive. As in Acts 2:44-45, "And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need." This worked because it was voluntary and there was a blessing in it for all. Socialism redistributes wealth by authority and force. It never works because of its authoritarianism and tyranny. Daily Devotion: Walk in the Daylight - by Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. -Romans 13:13 Much of the entertainment industry wants to make bad things look good and good things look bad. They'll take something that's forbidden, something we know is sinful, and make it look very appealing by the way they present it. Then they'll take something that's good, virtuous, and wholesome, and make fun of it or even outright attack it. Yet the Bible tells us, "Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy" (Romans 13:13 NKJV). Let me put that into the modern vernacular: Don't party and drink. Have you ever been in a place where a group of people are drinking, and they get louder and louder? Pretty soon no one even knows what they're laughing at. The Christian should be under the control of the Holy Spirit not alcohol or drugs. Ephesians 5:18 tells us, "Don't be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit" (NLT). Then there is the word: lewdness, which comes from a Greek term that simply means "bed." It holds the same connotation as two people going to bed together. We understand that doesn't mean taking a nap. The word lust in this verse doesn't merely describe a person given over to immorality. It describes someone who is living immorally but is incapable of feeling shame. It's shameless excess and the complete absence of restraint. In other words, this is a person who not only lives immorally, but they proclaim it. They flaunt it. They're proud of it. It frightens me when I hear of Christians engaging in sexual activity outside of God's constraints, having affairs, extramarital sex, and premarital sex. The Bible is saying that should not be true of us. So, don't live that way.
