Connection Between Islam and Terrorism
- Alf Cengia - http://www.omegaletter.com/articles/articles.asp?ArticleID=8456 Is there any connection between Islam and terrorism? Honestly, it should be a rhetorical question by now. Still, for whatever reasons, many resist connecting the dots. Within minutes of news reports that there was an explosion at a concert in Manchester, social media lit up. There were those who quickly raised the terrorism question. Others just as quickly chided them for "jumping the gun" and thinking the worst. As soon as it became impossible to dodge the fact that it was a premeditated terrorist attack perpetrated by a Muslim, the narrative changed. I followed the flood of twitter comments: This isn't about Islam etc, etc. Even before the details of the Manchester explosion emerged, one fervent resident recounted that the Muslim community was out there helping the injured. Now I can neither confirm the account nor judge the intention of the Muslims. Does the Muslim community regularly deploy itself to minister to scenes of disaster? I don't want to be cynical. I prefer to be cautiously realistic. What is crystal clear is the obsessive desire to disassociate Islam from terrorism. This, once again, was evident in the more recent "London Bridge" terrorist attack. London Mayor Sadiq Khan and self-described Muslim Progressive Reza Aslan quickly responded to President Trump's tweets about border security. The latter peppered his response with off-color language. Khan warned Trump that he should let Muslims in or they will Attack America. It's hard to reconcile his reasoning. America was attacked long before Mr. Trump's attempt to introduce his immigration policies. And would these be the same Muslims who adhere to the tolerant Islam of the Qur'an? France and Germany have had the immigration welcome mat out for years. Yet they've sustained a series of terrorist attacks. Perhaps potential terrorists might consider providing their western hosts a list of grievances so there's no danger of offense. But the really important thing to remember is that this isn't about Islam. Just follow the bouncing ball and sing along as you wave your peace lilies. My sarcasm is showing. People want to defend Islam at all cost, even some Christians at the expense of their faith. One twitter comment I encountered was from a "Christian" pastor who called himself an aspiring theologian. For the record, many theologians are also accomplished apostates. One should expect a pastor to hold some reverence for Scripture. Not in this case. He tweeted: "So, the Qur'an is violent, you say? Let's take a look at Christianity's holy scripture." What followed was a sampling of verses taken from the Qur'an and the Bible. His selection of Bible verses could have been taken from any Village Atheist's play box (and probably were). These have been addressed in commentaries and by apologists, ad nauseum. Why would a "pastor" do that (James 3:1)? It was a rhetorical question! Let's keep it simple. Muhammad perpetuated his Islamic ideology through fear and bloodshed. The Qur'an is replete with verses admonishing Muslims to fight the infidel. Even today, non-Muslims are treated as second class citizens in Muslim dominated countries. Do your research. Someone recently asked me whether these Qur'anic verses are misinterpreted (see links below). That's a great question. Some Christian scholars allegorize violent passages in the Book of Revelation. They find a wrathful God distasteful, so they assign innocuous meanings to these "apocalyptic" verses. Ironically most of them recognize that Christ died on the cross to spare us from God's wrath. But the fact is that Christians are commanded to love and pray for their enemies, unlike the Qur'an (Matt 5:43-48). There are no violent biblical verses regarding Christian action which need to be allegorized. On the other hand one wonders why there are so many violent jihad verses in the Qur'an which allegedly don't mean what they plainly state. Why should violent verses be used to portray a peaceful jihad, and how did Muhammad's own life reflect the Qur'an? It's vitally important that our opinions be informed. We are living in an increasingly post-modern, pluralistic world. Islam is intrinsically resistant to pluralism. The Qur'an forbids the faithful Muslim to integrate into infidel society. Furthermore the larger the number of Muslim representation, the greater the odds the community will produce Muslims who are faithful to Muhammad's legacy. What's the solution to terrorism? David Goldman has chewed the cud on this. I don't agree with all his thoughts. However the following are examples worthy of note: Ordinary Muslims live in fear of the terror networks, which have infiltrated their communities and proven their ability to turn the efforts of western security services against them...They are less likely to inform on prospective terrorists and more likely to aid them by inaction...western European Muslims fear the terrorists more than they fear the police. Most Muslims are peaceful people who disapprove of terrorism, but many are not. Opinion polls show a large and consistent minority of 20% to 40% approves of at least some form of terrorism. Support for ISIS generally is low, but much higher for Hezbollah, Hamas and other terrorist groups. By any reasonable count there are a few hundred million Muslims who in some way approve of terror, although very few of them would take part in terror attacks. But they are the sea in which the sharks can swim unobserved. One fairly significant outcome from the latest attack in England has been the refusal of a number of Imams to perform funeral rites for deceased terrorists. According to Fox News: "We, as Muslim imams and religious leaders, condemn the recent terror attacks in Manchester and London in the strongest terms possible," the Muslim leaders said in a statement. We (including me) must remember to keep these Muslim communities in our prayers. The antidote for Islamic terrorism isn't appeasement or numerous other placations. It is Christ's gospel. Ironically, this world is increasingly hostile to Pure Christianity. And, tragically, there are also too many examples of Christian leaders who welcome non-Christian faiths as equally valid. This presents a watered down Christianity, which is no Christianity at all. This dying world desperately needs Jesus Christ. He is the only final solution to this world's problems. Maranatha! A Jihad Army In Europe? - By Giulio Meotti - http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=1290 "Germany is quietly building a European army under its command," according to some in the media. Apparently German Chancellor Angela Merkel, after her clash with U.S. President Donald Trump, would like to invest, along with France, in a European army. At present, however, there is just one real army in Europe -- the Jihadist Army, as in the terrorists who struck London on June 3 and murdered seven people, just two weeks after carnage in Manchester. In the four European countries most targeted by terror attacks -- Britain, France, Belgium and Germany -- the number of official extremists has reached 66,000. That sounds like a real army, on active duty. Intelligence officers have identified 23,000 Islamic extremists living in Britain as potential terrorists. The number reveals the real extent of the jihadist threat in the UK. The scale of the Islamist challenge facing the security services was disclosed after intense criticism that many opportunities to stop the Manchester suicide bomber had been overlooked. French authorities are monitoring 15,000 Islamists, according a database created in March 2015 and managed by France's Counter-Terrorism Coordination Unit. Different surveys estimate up to 20,000 French radical Islamists. The number on Belgium's anti-terror watch-list surged from 1,875 in 2010 to 18,884 in 2017. In Molenbeek, the well-known jihadist nest in the EU capital, Brussels, intelligence services are monitoring 6,168 Islamists. Think about that: 18,884 Belgian jihadists compared to 30,174 Belgian soldiers on active duty. The number of potential jihadists in Germany has exploded from 3,800 in 2011 to 10,000, according to Hans-Georg Maassen, head of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution (Germany's domestic intelligence service). These Islamists have built a powerful infrastructure of terror inside Europe's cities. These terror bases are self-segregated, multicultural enclaves in which extremist Muslims promote Islamic fundamentalism and implement Islamic law, Sharia -- with the Tower Hamlets Taliban of East London; in the French banlieues [suburbs], and in The Hague's "sharia triangle", known as "the mini-caliphate," in the Netherlands. These extremist Muslims can comfortably get their weapons from the Balkans, where, thanks to Europe's open borders, they can travel with ease. They can also get their money from abroad, thanks to countries such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia. These Islamists can self-finance through the mosques they run, as well as get "human resources," donated by unvetted mass migration coming through the Mediterranean. 23,000 potential jihadists in the UK, 18,000 in Belgium, 10,000 in Germany, 15,000 in France. What do these numbers tell us? There might be a war in Europe "within a few years", as the chief of the Swedish army, General Anders Brännström, told the men under his command that they must expect. Take what happened in Europe with the terror attacks from 1970 to 2015: "4,724 people died from bombings. 2,588 from assassinations. 2,365 from assaults. 548 from hostage situations. 159 from hijackings. 114 from building attacks. Thousands were wounded or missing". Terrorism across Europe has killed 10,537 people in 18,803 reported attacks. And it is getting worse: "Attacks in 2014 and 2015 have seen the highest number of fatalities, which includes terrorists targeting civilians, government officials, businesses and the media, across Europe since 2004". A jihadist takeover of Europe is no longer unthinkable. Islamic extremists are already reaping what they sowed: they successfully defeated Geert Wilders and Marine Le Pen, the only two European candidates who really wanted to fight radical Islam. What if tomorrow these armed Islamists assault the Parliament in Rome, election polls in Paris, army bases in Germany or schools in London, in a Beslan-type attack? The terrorists' ransom is already visible: they have destabilized the democratic process in many European countries and are drafting the terms of freedom of expression. They have been able to pressure Europe into moving the battle-front from the Middle East to Europe itself. Of all the French soldiers engaged in military operations, half are deployed inside France; in Italy, more than half of Italian soldiers are used in "Safe Streets," the operation keeping Italy's cities safe. After 9/11, the United States decided to fight the Islamists in Afghanistan and Iraq, not to have to fight them in Manhattan. Europe chose the opposite direction: it as if Europe had accepted to turn its own cities into a new Mosul. If Europe's leaders do not act now to destroy the enemy within, the outcome may well come to be an "Afghan scenario," in which Islamists control part of the territory from where they launch attacks against cities. Europe could be taken over the same way Islamic State took over much of Iraq: with just one-third of Iraqi territory. Iran Turns Wrath on U.S., Saudi Over Terror Attacks - http://www.breitbart.com/jerusalem/2017/06/09/iran-turns-wrath-u-s-saudi-attacks/ Iran's supreme leader hit out at the United States and Saudi Arabia during the funerals Friday for those slain in the first attacks in the country claimed by the Islamic State group. The assault by gunmen and suicide bombers Wednesday on Tehran's parliament complex and the shrine of revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini killed 17 people and wounded more than 50. Mourners were paying respects to those killed at a ceremony in parliament on Friday morning, in the presence of newly re-elected moderate President Hassan Rouhani. Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei initially played down the attacks this week, describing them as "firecrackers" that "will not have the slightest effect on the will of the people". At Friday's funeral, however, he turned his wrath for the attacks on the United States and Saudi Arabia, his country's fiercest rivals. "Such acts will have no other result than to reinforce hatred for the US government and its agents in the region, like the Saudi (government)," Khamenei wrote in a message of condolence to the families of the dead. Parliament speaker Ali Larijani also attacked the United States and Saudi Arabia, which he called "a tribal state very far from anything like a democracy". In a speech at the ceremony, Larijani denounced US sanctions against Iran over its ballistic missile program. The US "knows that the Revolutionary Guard and its Quds force are the most important regional forces fighting terrorists", he said. The imposition of such sanctions "demonstrates their alignment with terrorists in the region", said the speaker, a moderate conservative. After prayers, a procession was to leave Tehran University for the Behesht-e-Zahra cemetery, near the Khomeini mausoleum 13 kilometres (eight miles) south of the Iranian capital. The attacks, which struck two of the country's most symbolic landmarks, were carried out by five armed men, including suicide bombers who blew themselves up. - Attackers in new video - The intelligence ministry said they were Iranians who had joined the Islamic State group and travelled to its strongholds in Iraq and Syria before returning home. Iran is a key fighting force against IS and other groups in Iraq and Syria, and the Sunni jihadists consider Shiite Muslims to be apostates. Shiites make up roughly 90 percent of Iran's population, but the country also has a sizeable Sunni minority, particularly around its restive borders with Iraq and Pakistan. IS released a video overnight of the five attackers before the assault, via its Amaq propaganda agency. "Allah permitting, this is the first brigade that was established (in Iran) but it will not be the last," one of them said, as the group sat masked in a circle with their weapons. The jihadist group had earlier released footage of the attackers from inside the building, also via Amaq - a rare claim of responsibility while an assault was still going on. Although the US military is also fighting IS in Syria, as well as Iraq, President Donald Trump said in response to the attacks in Iran that the country is reaping what it sows. That drew fire from Iran's foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, who tweeted: "Repugnant WH (White House) statement... as Iranians counter terror backed by US clients." Since Trump took office in January, relations between Washington and Tehran have worsened. Washington has imposed new sanctions on Tehran for its alleged support of "terrorist" groups in the Middle East, ballistic missile tests and human rights abuses. On a recent trip to Sunni-ruled Saudi Arabia, Trump called on all nations to "isolate" Iran. The Islamic republic's elite Revolutionary Guard has accused regional rival Saudi Arabia of involvement in Wednesday's attacks. But Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi said on Thursday that "we still cannot judge that Saudi Arabia has had a role in this terrorist incident". Qatar, Trump and double games - By Caroline B. Glick - http://www.jewishworldreview.com/0617/glick060917.php3 What the shunning means and why the media is condemning rather than celebrating this historic move US President Donald Trump has been attacked by his ubiquitous critics for his apparent about-face on the crisis surrounding Qatar. In a Twitter post on Tuesday, Trump sided firmly with Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and the other Sunni states that cut diplomatic ties with Qatar and instituted an air and land blockade of the sheikhdom on Monday. On Wednesday, Trump said that he hopes to mediate the dispute, more or less parroting the lines adopted by the State Department and the Pentagon which his Twitter posts disputed the day before. To understand the apparent turnaround and why it is both understandable and probably not an about-face, it is important to understand the forces at play and the stakes involved in the Sunni Arab world's showdown with Doha. Arguably, Qatar's role in undermining the stability of the Islamic world has been second only to Iran's. Beginning in the 1995, after the Pars gas field was discovered and quickly rendered Qatar the wealthiest state in the world, the Qatari regime set about undermining the Sunni regimes of the Arab world by among other things, waging a propaganda war against them and against their US ally and by massively funding terrorism. The Qatari regime established Al Jazeera in 1996. Despite its frequent denials, the regime has kept tight control on Al Jazeera's messaging. That messaging has been unchanging since the network's founding. The pan-Arab satellite station which reaches hundreds of millions of households in the region and worldwide, opposes the US's allies in the Sunni Arab world. It supports the Muslim Brotherhood and every terrorist group spawned by it. It supports Iran and Hezbollah. Al Jazeera is viciously anti-Israel and anti-Jewish. It serves as a propaganda arm not only of al-Qaida and Hezbollah but of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and any other group that attacks the US, Israel, Europe and other Western targets. Al Jazeera's reporters have accompanied Hamas and Taliban forces in their wars against Israel and the US. After Israel released Hezbollah arch-terrorist Samir Kuntar from prison in exchange for the bodies of two IDF reservists, Al Jazeera's Beirut bureau hosted an on-air party in his honor. Al Jazeera was at the forefront of the propaganda campaign inciting against then-Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak in 2011 and against Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi in 2012. Its operations were widely credited with inciting their overthrow and installing in their places regimes controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood and other jihadist groups. As for the regime itself, it has massively financed jihadist groups for more than 20 years. Qatar is a major bankroller not only of al-Qaida and Hamas but of militias associated with ISIS in Iraq and Syria. In a State Department cable from 2009 published by WikiLeaks, US diplomats referred to Qatar as the largest funder of terrorism in the world. According to the Financial Times, the straw that broke the camel's back for the Saudis and their allies was their discovery that in April, Qatar paid Iran, its Iraqi militias and al-Qaida forces in Syria up to a billion dollars to free members of the royal family held captive in southern Iraq and 50 terrorists held captive in Syria. Given Qatar's destabilizing and pernicious role in the region and worldwide in everything related to terrorism funding and incitement, Trump's statement on Tuesday in support of the Sunnis against Qatar was entirely reasonable. What can the US do other than stand by its allies as they seek to coerce Qatar to end its destabilizing and dangerous practices? The case for supporting the Saudis, Egyptians, the UAE and the others against Qatar becomes all the more overwhelming given their demands. The Sunnis are demanding that Qatar ditch its strategic alliance with Iran. They demand that Qatar end its financial support for terrorist groups and they demand that Qatar expel terrorists from its territory. If Qatar is forced to abide by these demands, its abandonment of Iran in particular will constitute the single largest blow the regime in Tehran has absorbed in recent memory. Among other things, Qatar serves as Iran's banker and diplomatic proxy. If the story began and ended here, then Trump's anti-Qatari stance would have been the obvious and only move. Beyond being the right thing to do, if Qatar's regime is overthrown or emasculated, the development would mark the most significant achievement to date against the Iranian axis of jihad. Unfortunately, the situation is not at all simple. First there is the problem of Doha's relations with key Americans and American institutions. Ahead of the 2016 US elections, WikiLeaks published documents which disclosed that the emir of Qatar presented Bill Clinton with a $1 million check for the Clinton Foundation as a gift for his 65th birthday. During Hillary Clinton's tenure as secretary of state, Qatar reportedly contributed some $6m. to the Clinton Foundation. Clinton, for her part, was deeply supportive of the regime and of Al Jazeera. For instance, in testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 2011, Clinton praised Al Jazeera for its leading role in fomenting and expanding the protests in Egypt that brought down Mubarak. Clinton wasn't the only one that Qatar singled out for generosity. Since the 1990s, Qatar has invested hundreds of millions of dollars in US universities. Six major US universities have campuses in Doha. Then there is the Brookings Institution. The premier US think tank had a revolving door relationship with the Obama and Clinton administrations. In 2014, The New York Times reported that Brookings, which opened a branch in Doha in 2002, had received millions of dollars in contributions from Qatar. In 2013 alone, the Qatari regime contributed $14.8 million to Brookings. Not surprisingly, Brookings' scholars supported the overthrow of Mubarak, and supported the Muslim Brotherhood regime during its year in power. Brookings scholars urged the Obama administration to cut off military assistance to Egypt after the military overthrew the Muslim Brotherhood in 2013. Brookings scholars have similarly written sympathetically of Qatar and its ally Turkey. As the Investigative Project on Terrorism revealed in a four-part series on Brookings' relations with Qatar in 2014, Brookings' scholars ignored human rights abuses by Qatar and praised Turkey's Erdogan regime as behaving like the US in enabling religion to have a role in public life. It is likely that given then-president Barack Obama's strategic goal of reorienting US Middle East policy away from its traditional Sunni allies and Israel toward Iran and its allies in Qatar and Turkey, that Brookings, Clinton and other beneficiaries of Qatar's generosity were simply knocking on an open door. Indeed, in 2014, during Operation Protective Edge, the Obama administration's alliance with Qatar, Turkey and Iran against Sunnis and Israel came out of the shadows. During the Hamas war with Israel, Obama sought to dislodge Egypt from its traditional role as mediator between Israel and Hamas and replace it with Qatar and Turkey. For their part, both regimes, which fund and support Hamas, accepted all of Hamas's cease-fire demands against Israel and Egypt. As their partner, the Obama administration also supported Hamas's demands. Had Egypt and Israel bowed to those demands, Hamas would have achieved a strategic victory in its war against Israel and Egypt. To avoid buckling to US pressure, Egypt built a coalition with the same states that are now leading the charge against Qatar - Saudi Arabia and the UAE - and openly supported Israel. In the end, the standoff between the two sides caused the war to end in a draw. Hamas was not dismantled, but it failed to secure Israeli or Egyptian acceptance of any of its demands for open borders and access to the international banking system. Given that Trump is not aligned with Brookings, the Clinton Foundation or US academia, it could be argued that he is not beholden to Qatari money in any way. But unfortunately, they are not the only beneficiaries of Qatari largesse. There is also the Pentagon. In the 1990s, Qatar spent more than $1b. constructing the Al Udeid Air Base outside of Doha. It is the most sophisticated air force base in the region. In 2003, the base replaced Saudi Arabia's Prince Sultan Air Base as headquarters for the US military's Central Command. Since 2003, all US operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria are controlled from the base. Following Trump's Twitter postings, the Pentagon was quick to say that operations at Al Udeid base had not been influenced by the crisis between Qatar and its neighbors. The Pentagon spokesman refused to say whether or not Qatar sponsors terrorism. Instead, Capt. Chris Davis stated, "I consider them a host to our very important base at Al Udeid." He commended Qatar for hosting US forces and for its "enduring commitment to regional security." Also on Tuesday, according to the Egyptian media, Iran deployed Revolutionary Guard Corps forces to Doha to protect the emir and his palace. On Wednesday, Turkey's parliament voted to empower Erdogan to deploy forces to Qatar to protect the regime. The moves by Qatar's allies Iran and Turkey significantly raise the stakes in the contest of wills now at play between Qatar and its Sunni neighbors and adversaries. With Iranian forces guarding the palace and the emir, the possibility of a bloodless coup inside the Al Thani family has been significantly diminished. Any move against the emir will raise the prospect of an open war with Iran. So, too, if Egypt and Saudi Arabia invade or otherwise attack Qatar, with or without US support, the US risks seeing its Arab allies at war with its NATO ally Turkey. Under the circumstances, Trump's refusal to endorse Article 5 of the NATO treaty during his speech in Brussels appears wise and well-considered. Article 5 states that an attack against one NATO ally represents an attack against all NATO allies. With the Pentagon dependent on the Qatari base, and with no clear path for unseating the emir through war or coup without risking a much larger and more dangerous conflict, the only clear option is a negotiated resolution. Under the circumstances, the best the US can probably work toward openly is a diminishment of Qatar's regional profile and financial support for Iran and its terrorist allies and proxies. Hence, Trump's announcement on Wednesday that he will mediate the conflict. However, in the medium and long term, Trump's statement on Twitter made clear his ultimate goal. The Truth About Islam Revisited - By Geri Ungurean - http://www.raptureready.com/2017/06/04/the-truth-about-islam-revisited/ Over two years ago, I wrote an article about Islam. I am bringing this article out again with updates. I am sick to death of hearing that our fight is not against Islam. It most certainly is against this barbaric and satanic "religion of peace." To give Islam a name which includes "peace" is ludicrous. It is the religion of hatred and death and domination. Main Stream Media The Left will go to their graves defending Islam. I have racked my brain as to why liberals defend and seem to love Islam, when they see the horrific attacks and trail of death left by these people. The only thing I can come up with is that the Fundamentalist Muslims hate America. And so do the liberal Left. This is their bond. From thereligionofpeace.com Why Islamic Terrorists Commit Attacks - In Their Own Words "I am one of the servants of Allah. We do our duty of fighting for the sake of the religion of Allah. It is also our duty to send a call to all the people of the world to enjoy this great light and to embrace Islam and experience the happiness in Islam... "Our primary mission is nothing but the furthering of this religion." (emphasis added) ~Osama bin Laden, May 1998 We must all remember that these terror attacks all over the world are committed for one basic reason: The furthering of Islam. These cowards choose what are called "Soft targets" so that the intensity of the horror and terror has the greatest impact. The latest tactic is the mowing down of people using large vehicles. Also, setting off bombs where young people have congregated i.e. concerts. Beheading Christians and posting the heinous and horrific acts online is one of their favorites. Original article from 2014: We hear so much about all of those moderate Muslims out there. Why aren't they speaking against the jihadists? Certainly they don't agree with the mass beheadings and terror, right? For many, this article will be eye-opening to say the least. We have all heard of Christians in name only. Moderate Muslims are Muslims in name only, and they are hated by those who are true to the Qur'an and to their prophet, Muhammad. Islam is a totalitarian ideology, cloaked in robes of religion to present itself as honorable to an unsuspecting world. We have heard imans (Muslim clerics) who describe Islam as: "The Religion of Peace." Islam is in truth a demonically influenced regime of warlords, whose goal is world dominance. The word Islam means submission. In this article I will take passages straight from the Qur'an which clearly show that Islam has nothing to do with peace. It has everything to do with beheading, raping, pillaging, and dominating the entire world. To those who practice Islam and are jihadists (the Qur'an commands this) their god Allah promises great rewards awaiting those who give their lives while fighting infidels. Who are the infidels? This term means anyone who does not believe the words of their prophet, Muhammad. In fact, the Muslims in name only are hated by the Muslims who are obedient to the words in the Qur'an. Are you beginning to understand why the so-called moderate Muslims do not speak out against the terror? They are fearful for their own lives! Here is an example of a command from their false god: Quran (2:191-193) - "And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah [disbelief] is worse than killing...but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah [disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah] and worship is for Allah alone. But if they cease, let there be no transgression except against Az-Zalimun [the polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.]." Muslim jihadists must obey the words of their book. They fear for their own lives if they do not live as terrorists, because Allah has told them in their book that they should be killed for not obeying. In fact, doubting Allah in the mind of a Muslim is a terrible thing. We wonder how they can be so brutal and merciless. It's because they must show their god that they believe him, and that they will bring terror against all infidels and slay them if they do not convert to Islam. Quran (2:216) - "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not." (Here we see Allah proclaiming to his subjects that violence is virtuous. It even states that some may find it repulsive, but they must know that their god knows what is good for them.) I believe that Allah is actually Satan. He fights primarily against Jews and Christians. He commands submission from his followers. Jesus is spoken of in the Qur'an, but it's not the Jesus we know from the Word of God. Jesus - called Isa, is merely a prophet. It is emphasized that He is not the Son of God. On the roof of the mosque on the Temple Mount are inscribed these Arabic words: "God has No son." That sounds demonic to me. Quran (3:56) - "As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help." Quran (3:151) - "Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority". (This speaks of Christians, who say that "God has a Son" is joining companions with Allah). Quran (4:74) - "Let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward." (Unlike early Christian who were led meekly to their slaughter, Muslims are killed in battle for the cause of Allah. This is the basis for today's suicide bombers.) Quran (4:95) - "Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward." (Here we see Allah stressing that the jihadists will be rewarded, but not those who do not fight for the cause.) Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" These words are clear, and commentary here would be redundant. " Quran (8:57) - "If thou comest on them in the war, deal with them so as to strike fear in those who are behind them, that haply they may remember." I am reminded of the videos with beheadings that are posted for all to see. They love to put fear in the hearts of all infidels. " Quran (9:5) - "So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them." (Clearly, these words show that the only way to escape death is to convert to Islam.) Quran (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued." (People of the Book refers to Christians and Jews.) Now you have seen a sampling from the Qur'an of the terror that is commanded by its words. Religion of Peace? Hardly - more like the Third Reich meeting in mosques worldwide, and planning the demise of all who will not convert. So why do we not hear what the Qur'an really says on the news? Why do politicians avoid what is stated in black and white on the pages of this terrifying book? I can only guess that some refuse to believe that a religion could actually be so violent as the jihadists are. They have their heads in the sand, believing that the ones beheading and raping must be a radical faction of the religion of peace. Perhaps others are just plain scared. Here is a paragraph of President George W. Bush's commencement address to the Air Force Academy, on 3 June 2004, illustrating the problem: "History is once again witnessing a great clash. This is not a clash of civilizations. The civilization of Islam, with its humane traditions of learning and tolerance, has no place for this violent sect of killers and aspiring tyrants. This is not a clash of religions. The faith of Islam teaches moral responsibility that ennobles men and women, and forbids the shedding of innocent blood. Instead, this is a clash of political visions." This is another reason that I believe that Allah and Satan are one and the same. The deception is so blatant and so complete-only the enemy of God could pull this off. Some believe that Islam is in fact demonically influenced, but that Allah is not Satan. Be assured, that I am not saying that the Antichrist will be Islam. I believe that Satan manifests himself in many ways. We now have a president who sees the evil and calls it as such. He is trying desperately to protect the American people. We thank you, President Trump, for your resolve to keep us safe. I believe that all Muslims in America or who are trying to come to America, should be asked to renounce Sharia Law and renounce the Jihadi verses in the Qur'an. Now when you are watching the news and you hear someone speaking about the "radical jihadist" faction of Islam, you will know the truth. I doubt that you will ever hear the phrase "Religion of Peace" ascribed to Islam, and not think back on the passages you've read here from the Qur'an. A side note on the importance of praying for Muslims: Many Muslims are coming out of Islam and running into the arms of our Lord Jesus. Continue to pray for this to happen. We are to pray for our enemies. There is no better prayer than to pray for their salvation. Shalom b'Yeshua MARANTHA! WATCH: https://youtu.be/ip-1SR4_5OI Laurie, senior pastor at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, and Harvest Crusades will be hosting the annual Harvest America revival event in Glendale, Arizona, which this year will feature a number of well-known Christian musical talents, a Gospel message from Laurie and a sneak peek at Laurie's upcoming documentary on the faith of Hollywood icon Steve McQueen. The event, which is billed as "the nation's largest one-day evangelistic outreach," will be held at the University of Phoenix Stadium and begins around 4:30 p.m. It will be livestreamed online and telecast on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. The show will feature performances from "The Voice" star Brennley Brown, "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks, Christian bands MercyMe and NEEDTOBREATHE, contemporary Christian musician Phil Wickham and Christian rapper Trip Lee. The night will be capped off by a sermon and call to profess faith in Christ from the 64-year-old Laurie. "Super Bowl Sunday, which for many now is a religious holiday, is a day when many of us watch a football game on TV. It is something we all do across the country at the same time. There will be Super Bowl parties where you will invite people over to your home and then watch the game," Laurie told The Christian Post in an interview this week. "I use that as a picture to describe what Harvest America is," he continued. "Yes, it happens in one place - Phoenix, Arizona - but the reason we call it Harvest America is there are thousands of host sites around the nation in places ranging from church sanctuaries to movie theaters to open fields to front rooms. We ask everyone simultaneously to watch this event as it happens live in Arizona." Harvest America 2016 was hosted at the home of the Dallas Cowboys, AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and was attended by over 82,000 people while an estimated 180,000 people across the world watched the event at 7,000 different simulcast hosting locations. An estimated 25,000 people made professions of faith at the end of the night. As Laurie has maintained that America is in need of a "spiritual awakening," this year's Harvest America coincides with Laurie's declaration earlier this year that 2017 is "the year of Good News." "I think that right now there is a real anxiety in many people. There is a fear in the air," Laurie told CP. "Recently, I read that the No. 1 phrase typed in the Google search engine was 'Is World War III near?' because of a nation like North Korea threatening to nuke us in doing missile tests. I think that people are agitated, they are concerned, they are wondering the answers to those age-old questions. I think we need to be there with answers from the Bible." "As we have gotten away from that [biblical] virtue and those moral absolutes because we have gotten away from God's Word and we have gotten away from God Himself, we have a nation in need, a nation in crisis, a nation where the family is breaking down, a nation where we have riots in our streets and racial unrest," the evangelist added. "The answer is we need another spiritual awakening." Laurie said that since the event will be televised on TBN and livestreamed on Harvest America's website, it creates an opportunity for people across the nation to invite their friends and neighbors to their homes and churches to watch the event in fellowship with their communities. "When I am calling people to Christ in the University of Phoenix Stadium, I will be calling them to Christ wherever you are," Laurie said. An aspect that will be entirely new to this year's Harvest America is Harvest's partnership with the Southern Baptist Convention's North American Mission Board's Crossover Phoenix 2017, an outreach event in which believers will be trained and expected to evangelize people on the streets of Phoenix. "They felt like they needed an event, sort of a catalyst to wrap it around," Laurie said of NAMB's Crossover. "I thought it was a perfect fit. We, like NAMB and the SBC, are passionate about evangelism and about calling people to Christ and so we agreed." Laurie said that experienced evangelism leaders associated with Harvest will conduct a training class for people who plan to take part in the Crossover event on Friday. "We are hands-on involved in training and we do a lot of this sort of thing," he explained. "We train people and take them out in the streets all year long. So this is in our wheelhouse. This is a perfect cooperative effort between Harvest Ministries and NAMB because we all have the same objectives." Laurie said that it remains to be seen if the Crossover evangelism efforts will lead to an increased attendance at Harvest America but knows that the partnership will help Harvest have a greater impact on the Phoenix community. "People are coming in from around the country and they are being trained in sharing their faith. They are going to go out and engage people," Laurie stated. "Even if people don't come to the event itself, the fact that we are sending people out into the community to talk to people about their faith is, in itself, a really great thing. The fact that we are coordinating with the crusade itself is an even better thing." Daily Jot: Comey, C'mon man! - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com Comey this, Comey that, Comey, Comey, Comey-the news reports on the James Comey testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee are beginning to sound like some sort of rock and roll song. I wasn't going to write any more on this, but there is no choice. This whole thing with Comey and his testimony is a dog and pony show on the biggest stage in the world showing how hypocritical and petty the Washington, D.C. political machine has become. It never was wonderfully honorable, but the hype aimed at destroying reputations and providing high-drama for political gain is held at the public expense of taxpayers over the insinuation and innuendo of political hack James Comey. It's embarrassing. The one new revelation that came from the testimony of this Democratic Party operative and 5th Estate power monger is that Comey revealed just how underhanded the political tactics become when someone feels their power is threatened. He gave America insight into the shenanigans by admitting that he used a close friend of his-Columbia law professor Daniel Richman-to leak the content of his memos to himself to the New York Times in hope of triggering the appointment of a special counsel. What he did was write up his own (hear biased or politically motivated opinion) account of his private meetings with President Donald Trump and leaked them through a second party to the New York Times with hopes of undermining Trump's presidency. That's the motive. It is not what the leftist news media will report, but it is-take it from a former political operative-how hardball is played. At the same time Comey is admitting to this underhanded chicanery, he also testified that he couldn't say whether Trump's request to shut down the investigation of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn was an obstruction of justice. He said this issue was for a special counsel to determine. This is another political tactic to undermine Trump's presidency-answer a leading question without saying a law was broken, but imply that it was. The news picks up on it, and the reputation of the target suffers in the public irrespective of whether it is true or false. So far, the Democrats are winning in their media war against Trump. They have a special counsel appointed. An investigation is underway even though top Democrats say there is no evidence of wrongdoing. The witch hunt is aired in the public daily, undermining the public confidence in the presidency. And that is the goal-to make it so Trump cannot implement his agenda. It's a strategy of the coup. As long as the notion of wrongdoing is pounded into the public's minds, the strategy of this revolution is succeeding. As Ephesians 6:12 says, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Don't forget it. This spiritual wickedness is very persuasive and can cause even the elect to misstep. Daily Devotion: Seize the Moment - Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. -2 Timothy 4:2 My mother was married and divorced seven times, so I practically had a full-time ministry sharing the gospel with her former husbands. Three of them in particular come to mind. There was Oscar Laurie, who adopted me. I was able to share the gospel with him, and he came to believe in Jesus. That was wonderful. Then there was a man my mother had been married to in Hawaii. I visited him when I was speaking at the Waikiki Shell, which was very close to where he lived on Oahu. But he wanted nothing to do with anything I was saying. Then there was Bill, my mother's last husband. She had recommitted her life to the Lord a month before God called her to Heaven. Sometime later, I was going to the airport when I received word that Bill was very sick. I thought, "What if he doesn't last much longer? The irony is that I'm on my way to preach to people about Jesus, and here is someone who needs Jesus badly." So I turned my car around and drove to Bill's house. The moment I walked in, I could see how seriously ill he was. I went over the gospel with Bill one more time, and then I said, "Bill, would you like to pray and ask Jesus into your life?" He always had been resistant to this, but he said yes, and he prayed. I left Bill's house for the airport, thanking the Lord for what had taken place. And later that day when my plane landed, I received a text saying that Bill had died. Our job is proclamation. God's job is conversion. Our job is sowing the seed. His job is reaping where it has been sown. Let's do our part. Eternity is at stake. FROM THE HEART
