She was the most luxurious ocean liner ever built. No expense was spared, as her guests were among the earth's wealthiest and most distinguished. Archibald Butt, aide to Presidents William Taft and Theodore Roosevelt, was on board as well as John Jacob Astor with his newlywed wife. Millionaire Benjamin Guggenheim along with Macy's Department Store partner, Isidor Straus, and his wife were guests aboard this 7.5 million-dollar floating palace that would sail the North Atlantic, departing from Southampton, England and scheduled to arrive in New York City. Postponed by six weeks, she did finally set sail April 10, 1912-the R.M.S. Titanic. Her cargo was what you might have imagined or heard of through stories and movies. It is really difficult to recreate the excessive opulence that resided in this floating paradise by book or cinema. Two squash courts and equal Turkish baths. A first-class parlor ticket was a mere $4,350. First-class passengers were given the royal treatment, dining amidst hand-carved mahogany-paneled walls which adorned the main dining hall that served the elites. The food was sumptuously prepared-for every meal was a feast, usually up to eleven courses. The men would adjourn for exotic cigars and more drinks in the private, lavish smoking lounges after the dining experience. From there they could retire to their palatial parlor rooms, if they had one of the four of these, and enjoy a stroll on the Promenade Deck. There were thousands of bottles of the finest wines, champagne and ale the earth had to offer. Meat, caviar, cheeses, poultry, produce and eggs were loaded onto this floating food emporium. Second-class passengers were given a decent passage but certainly not the first-class experience described. The third-class passengers were on the boat locked away and housed in rows of bunk beds in overcrowded rooms, strategically located near the engine room in the lowest part of the ship. The noise was said to be deafening. However, everyone on the Titanic ate well. But the poor and desperate were aboard this steamship as well, making her way across the icy waters of the North Atlantic - many hoping for a new life in America. So much wealth and prominence aboard. So much food, drink, jewels, and excess of every kind. Read the list of what was loaded and packed for this trip if you are curious-it's astounding. I don't know how it all fit inside this massive boat along with all the people, but it did. The ship's architects and builders were very proud. It was reported in newspapers worldwide and by word of mouth to be-unsinkable. Really? That attitude was prevalent across the ship's builders, crew, staff and those sailing aboard. Pride of life and the pride of accomplishment. Very few seemed to sense what was truly valuable aboard this vessel-this floating mega-ship. The true value is always going to be things that are eternal, not temporary....like that of a human soul. Many on this day overlooked this fact, but thankfully, not everyone. This wrong attitude was reflected in the ship's lack of safety equipment-mainly, the lifeboats. The ship was originally equipped for 64 lifeboats; but because of esthetics and appeal to the first-class passengers, only 20 were ready and mounted for the maiden voyage. This was not nearly enough to save the lives of the 2,229 passengers and crew members gliding through the icy waters of the northern Atlantic near Newfoundland's Grand Banks. The ocean water in this area was around 28 degrees Fahrenheit. The only reason it's not frozen over at that temperature is because of the salt content. Unknown to Captain Edward John Smith, as the ship is breezing through the frigid arctic air on the night of this disaster, is a scientific theory that suggests the moon's extremely close approach to Earth on January 4, 1912. It created such strong tides that it sent a cluster of icebergs southward and into the Titanic's path. This is a theory- but very believable to me because of the power of a Supermoon and its effect on the tide. The Titanic is headed this night-right into the clusters of icebergs. Captain Smith was forewarned, however, about the existence of icebergs in this area. I'm not sure how the lookout missed a 100-foot tall iceberg towering above the water. It seems like many had trouble doing their job when it really counted on this fateful evening. I read in one account of this story that the binoculars used by the lookout were not sufficient or even used. Since they were determined to have a first-class experience, why not a first-class pair of binoculars? Possibly, two? Added to the overall deficit, no one called for a lifeboat drill or made sure each boat was manned with at least two able-bodied persons who were able to row. To frost this cake of complete unpreparedness, the lifeboats were not filled to capacity-one boat reported having only three first-class passengers. Of the 18 lifeboats that were launched, most were only halfway filled. Of the two small boats that were considered reserve boats, one flipped upside down as it was hastily loaded into the waters. The ship grazes the giant iceberg at 11:40 p.m. on April 14th. Many accounts recalled it sounded like the ship ran over millions of marbles. Many were aware that something was wrong. But, not wanting to alarm the passengers, it was not disclosed what had truly taken place and that water was pouring into the lower chambers of the ship. People are told in first-class to get their life belts on and head to the upper deck. Even the crew comes across as being just precautionary. People remind themselves and others that the Titanic is unsinkable, boasting of its watertight chambers. At 2:20 a.m. on April 15th, 1912: after breaking in two, she sinks to her ice-water grave carrying with her the lives of those not spared in the lifeboats. Of the 2,229 passengers, only 706 survived- the majority being women and children. Two ships received signals that were able to help: the Californian and the Carpathia. The captain of the Californian heard the report from his crew of the flares signaling distress from the Titanic, and chose to go back to bed. No kidding. The captain of the Carpathia confirmed he heard the report from his men that the Titanic was, indeed, in trouble. Upon the confirmation of the report, he made a giant U-turn and came straight away as fast as he dared through treacherous waters, and arrived miraculously at around 4:00 a.m. His passengers doubled-up their occupancy and willingly gave their rooms to the survivors of the Titanic. What a captain and ship! Real heroes! This sinking was a real surprise to many all around the world. Fake news is not something new. Many newspaper outlets reported the Titanic did sink, but there was no loss of life-The Detroit News, was one of those. Somebody apparently called them on it, and they fixed their giant blunder. It's always best to get your news correct instead of being the first to print. We have a day approaching that will be very much like the sinking of the Titanic. It will be unexpected and not prepared for by millions of people. It will catch those of this world off guard and unaware. It will be like a punch in the gut that takes away your breath and knocks you down. Some think that their lives are unsinkable. They will be just as bad off as those on this ill-fated ship. Captain John Smith was warned about the existence of icebergs and the treacherous waters he was navigating into. He thought his ship was above such things-like possibly sinking. He could have diverted the ship southward to avoid the suspected icebergs. From the Chicago Examiner dated Thursday April 18, 1912: "TITANIC'S CAPTAIN WARNED OF HUGE FIELD OF ICEBERGS- Operator on La Bretagne Tells How Messages Were Sent in All Directions From Near Cape Race. New York, April 17-Captain Smith of the Titanic had warning of the danger ahead of him in the giant iceberg that sent his vessel to the bottom of the North Atlantic. As a matter of fact, the Titanic relayed the warning to the shore." People of this earth have been forming this attitude for some time now-and it seems to be accelerating here in the end times. Everything will continue just as it is. Nothing forecasted in the Bible is ever going to happen. There is no such thing as the Rapture....and on and on. The day of the Rapture will probably be a normal day. People working, planning a wedding or getting married that day. Some may be vacationing or at school. Flights and buses leaving and arriving at terminals. Coffee shops and commerce will be bustling with patrons and business. It will happen so fast-in the twinkling of an eye. Gone in an instant-those Christians, those deplorable Jesus people-they are all gone. Fake news will again get the attention of the world as speculation and lies of our whereabouts abound. Alien abduction for sure. A giant hole appeared in the universe and disposed of those who were unworthy to live here. The biggest thing to explain is the disappearance of children and babies. The chaos of the world will be felt by every single person-just like every single person on the Titanic was affected forever. It will be the same on this day and at this time in the future. When the Titanic went down, those watching in horror noticed the last flickering of the lights as they went out completely. Total darkness followed, allowing for the darkness of the ocean at night to engulf them. A wealthy lady in lifeboat #8 had a small battery-powered light on her cane which she waved in the air throughout the night, hoping a vessel would see and rescue their struggling group. It will be same on the earth. The light of God's presence will be removed as the restraining power of the Holy Spirit will be departing with the Christians, sending the world into a darkness it has never seen before, nor ever will again. There will be those who find Christ during this time after the Rapture. It will not be easy-not at all. The world will descend quickly into spiritual darkness, and a very wicked man will rise to power to fill the huge vacuum that was created by the Rapture and the absence of millions of men, women, children and babies. It's not going to be much longer, as I see the Day of the Lord approaching. The only clue we have of the Rapture is that we can see that this day-the Day of the Lord-is coming upon the world. Jesus will appear in the sky and call those in Christ both dead and still alive to come up with Him in the air. We will rise to Him and be with Him forever. My daily prayer is that today, if you hear His voice, you will respond. Believe and receive the good news of the love and salvation of Jesus Christ right now if you have not done so. Trump decided not to wait any longer. On December 7, 2017, he declared that the United States recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel; the official embassy transfer took place on May 14th, the day of Israel's 70th anniversary. From the moment of Trump's declaration, leaders of the Muslim world expressed anger and announced major trouble. An Islamic summit conference was convened in Istanbul a week later, and ended with statements about a "crime against Palestine". Western European leaders followed suit. Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel said that President Trump's decision was a "serious mistake" and could have huge "consequences". French President Emmanuel Macron, going further, declared that the decision could provoke a "war". Despite these ominous predictions, trouble remained largely absent. The Istanbul statement remained a statement. The "war" anticipated by Macron did not break out. The Islamic terrorist organization Hamas sent masses of rioters from Gaza to tear down Israel's border fence and cross over, to force Israeli soldiers to fire, thereby allowing Hamas to have bodies of "martyrs" to show to the cameras. So far, Hamas has sent 62 of its own people to their death. Fifty of them were, by Hamas's own admission, members of Hamas. Palestinian terrorist groups fired rockets into southern Israel; Israeli jets retaliated with airstrikes. Hamas sent kites, attached to incendiary devices and explosives, over the border to Israel. So far, 200 of the fire-kites that Hamas sent have destroyed 6,200 acres of Israeli forests and farmland. Pundits who predicted more violent reactions have been surprised by the relatively quiet reaction of the Palestinian and Muslim communities. The reason might be called the "Trump Doctrine for the Middle East". One element of it consisted of crushing the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq. President Trump had promised quickly to clear the world of what had become a main backbone of Islamic terrorism. He kept his promise in less than a year, and without a massive deployment of American troops. Trump has shown the strength of the United States and restored its credibility in a region where strength and force determine credibility. Another element of it was put in place during President Trump's trip to Saudi Arabia in May 2017. President Trump renewed ties which had seriously deteriorated during the previous 8 years. Trump more broadly laid the foundation for a new alliance of the United States with the Sunni Arab world, but he put two conditions on it: a cessation of all Sunni Arab support for Islamic terrorism and an openness to the prospect of a regional peace that included Israel. Both conditions are being gradually fulfilled. In June 2017, Saudi Arabia's King Salman chose his son Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) as heir to the throne. MBS started an internal revolution to impose new directions on the kingdom. The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition, created on December 15, 2015, was endorsed by the United States; it held its inaugural meeting on November 26, 2017. In addition, links between Israeli and Saudi security services were strengthened and coordination between the Israeli and Egyptian militaries intensified. An alliance between Israel and the main countries of the Sunni Arab world to contain Iran also slowly and unofficially began taking shape. MBS, calling called Hamas a terrorist organization, saying that it must "be destroyed". He told representatives of Jewish organizations in New York that Palestinian leaders need to "take the [American] proposals or shut up." Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas was summoned to Riyadh twice -- in November and December 2017; and it appears he was "asked" to keep quiet. Never has the distance between Palestinian organizations, and Saudi Arabia and the Sunni Arab world, seemed so far. The only Sunni Arab country to have maintained ties with Hamas is Qatar, but the current Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani, has been under pressure to change his stance. Immediately after President Trump left Riyadh, a third element emerged. The US presidential plane went directly from Riyadh to in Israel: for the first time, a direct flight between Saudi Arabia and Israel took place. President Trump went to Jerusalem, where he became the first sitting US President to visit the Western Wall, the only historical remains of a retaining wall from the ancient Temple of King Solomon. During his campaign, Trump had referred to Jerusalem as "the eternal capital of the Jewish people", implicitly acknowledging that the Jews have had their roots there for 3,000 years. After his visit to the Wall, President Trump went to Bethlehem and told Mahmoud Abbas what no American President had ever said: that Abbas is a liar and that he is personally responsible for the incitement to violence and terror. In the days that followed, the US Congress demanded that the Palestinian Authority renounce incentivizing terrorism by paying cash to imprisoned Palestinian terrorists and families of terrorists killed while carrying out attacks. President Trump's Middle East negotiators, Jared Kushner and Jason Greenblatt made it clear to Palestinian leaders that US aid to the Palestinian Authority could end if the US demand was not met. Nikki Haley told the United Nations that the US could stop funding UNWRA if Palestinian leaders refused to negotiate and accept what the US is asking for. Since it was founded in 1994, the Palestinian Authority has never been subjected to such intense American pressure. The fourth element was President Trump's decision to leave the Iran nuclear deal. President Trump immediately announced he would restore "the harshest, strongest, most stringent sanctions" to suffocate the mullahs' regime. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has since presented to Iran a list of 12 "basic requirements" for a new agreement. President Trump's decision came in a context where the Iran regime has just suffered a series of heavy blows: the Israeli Mossad's seizure in Tehran of highly confidential documents showing that Iran has not ceased to lie about its nuclear program; the revelation by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of the Mossad operation, and the Israeli army's decisive response to an Iranian rocket barrage launched from Syrian territory. By it, Israel showed its determination not to allow Russia to support Iran when Iran uses its bases to attack Israel. Netanyahu was invited by Russian President Vladimir Putin to Moscow on May 9 to commemorate the Soviet victory over Germany in 1945; during that visit, Putin seems to have promised Netanyahu neutrality if Israel were attacked by Iranian forces in Syria. Putin, eager to preserve his Russian bases in Syria, clearly views Israel as a force for stability in the Middle East and Iran as a force for instability -- too big a risk for Russian support. In recent months, the Iranian regime has become, along with Erdogan's Turkey, one of the main financial supporters of the "Palestinian cause" and Hamas's main backer. It seems that Iran asked Hamas to organize the marches and riots along the Gaza-Israel border. When the violence from Gaza became more intense, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was summoned to Cairo by Egypt's intelligence chief, who told him that if violence does not stop, the Israel military would carry out drastic actions, and Egypt would be silent. It could become difficult for Iran to incite Palestinian organizations to widespread violence in the near future. It could become extremely difficult for Iran to continue financially to support the "Palestinian cause" in the coming months. It could soon become financially unbearable for Iran to maintain its presence in Syria and provide sophisticated weapons to Hezbollah. Turkish President Erdogan speaks loudly, but he seems to know what lines not to cross. Protests in Iran have become less intense since January, but the discontent and frustrations of the population persist and could get worse. The Trump administration undoubtedly realizes that the Iranian regime will not accept the requirements presented by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and that the harsh new sanctions might lead to new major uprisings in Iran, and the fall of the regime. Ambassador John Bolton, now National Security Advisor, mentioned in January that the "strategic interest of the United States" is to see the regime overthrown. Referring recently to the situation in the Middle East and the need to achieve peace, Pompeo spoke of the "Palestinians", not of the Palestinian Authority, as in Iran, possibly to emphasize the distinction between the people and their leadership, and that the leadership in both situations, may no longer be part of the solution. Hamas, for the US, is clearly not part of any solution. No one knows exactly what the peace plan to be presented by the Trump administration will contain, but it seems certain that it will not include the "right of return" of so-called "Palestinian refugees" and will not propose East Jerusalem as the "capital of a Palestinian state". The plan will no doubt be rejected by both the Palestinian Authority and Hamas; it already has been, sight unseen. Netanyahu rightly said that Palestinian leaders, whoever they may be, do not want peace with Israel, but "peace without Israel". What instead could take place would be peace without the Palestinian leaders. What could also take place would be peace without the Iran's mullahs. It should be noted that on December 7, 2017, when Donald Trump announced the transfer of the United States Embassy to Jerusalem, the leaders of the Muslim world who protested were mostly Turkey's Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iran's Hassan Rouhani. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Oman did not send representatives to the Islamic summit conference in Istanbul. When the US embassy in Jerusalem opened its doors on May 14, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the Gulf emirates were quiet. On that day, Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron repeated what they had said on December 7, 2017: that the embassies of Germany and France in Israel would remain in Tel Aviv. Macron condemned the "heinous acts" committed by the Israeli military on the Gaza border but not aggression of Hamas in urging its people, and even paying them, to storm Gaza's border with Israel. If current trends continue, Macron and Merkel could be among the last supporters of the "Palestinian cause." They sound as if they will do just about anything to save the corrupt Palestinian Authority. They are also doing everything to save the moribund Iran "nuclear deal," and are deferential to the mullahs' regime. During a European summit held in Sofia, Bulgaria, on May 16, the Trump administration was harshly criticized by the European heads of state who argued that Europe will "find a way around" US sanctions and "resist" President Trump. European companies are already leaving Iran in droves, evidently convinced that they will be better off cutting their losses and keeping good relations with the United States. On June 3-5, Benjamin Netanyahu went to Europe to try to persuade Merkel, Macron and British Prime Minister Theresa May to give up backing the Iran nuclear deal. He failed, predictably, but at least had the opportunity to explain the Iranian danger to Europeans and the need to act. As Iran's nuclear ties to North Korea have intensified in the last two years -- Iran seems to have relied on North Korea to advance its own nuclear projects -- the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula that might have begun with the Donald Trump-Kim Jong-Un meeting in Singapore on June 12, clearly will not strengthen the Iranian position. European leaders seem not to want to see that a page is turning in the Middle East. They seem not to want to see that, regardless of their mercenary immorality, of their behavior staying on the page of yesterday, is only preventing them from understanding the future. Nearing Midnight: Britain Has Fallen into Lawlessness - Todd Strandberg - http://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ The cherished rights: the freedom of religion, the freedom of speech, and the freedom of the press were once sacred in Great Britain, but they are now at risk. The rule of law in England is being replaced with despotism. This is the nation that gave us the Magna Carta which Lord Denning described as "the greatest constitutional document of all times - the foundation of the freedom of the individual against the arbitrary authority of the despot." I waited a week to see if public pressure would change matters involving Tommy Robinson. This guy has been a troublemaker on the illegal immigration front, who has gotten into many fights with Muslims. He reminds me of Alex Jones. Law enforcement in the United Kingdom arrested Robinson for holding a Facebook live stream, where he was reporting on a Muslim child rape case. After an hour passed, police officers approached Robinson and arrested him for "breach of the peace" and incitement. Judge Geoffrey Marson gave Robinson a summary trial, sentencing him to 13 months in prison; and the press was barred from reporting anything about his arrest. What got Tommy Robinson jailed is his exposing of the industrial scale of child rape in the UK at the hands of largely Muslim rape gangs. Tommy was arrested for covering a trial of 27 men that allegedly raped 18 girls, aged 11 to 17, for seven years. Islamic Pedophiles in Great Britain get away with crimes that years ago would have required long sentences. An Islamic teacher who repeatedly molested a terrified girl of 11 as he taught her the Koran, Suleman Maknojioa, 40, repeatedly rubbed the youngster's leg and touched her chest. Judge Michael Byrne told Maknojioa: "The parents invited you into the sanctity of their own home. They trusted you and left you with their children." The Judge then gave him a slap-on-the-wrist verdict of two years of supervision all because his wife's English is so bad. Many British police turn a blind eye to any indication of sexual mistreatment of Muslim children. Her Majesty's Constables see problems with this group as unworthy of valuable police resources. There is one report from a girl named Jessica who witnessed all forms of abuse. She told of a man in a car having sex with a twelve-year-old child. A police cruiser pulled up alongside, and the officer rolled down the window. The guy simply looked over and said that his companion was performing oral sex on him, but he used language too profane to quote. The cops drove away like there was nothing wrong. Jessica kept a detailed diary of what had happened to her. She took it to the local police station. It "disappeared." A couple of years later, she went back to the police. She was told that none of the officers who'd witnessed her abuse would support her story because-if they gave evidence at trial- they would be in big trouble themselves. Jessica left the room having taken the precaution of covertly recording the conversation. The cover-up was unraveled; but still, little was done. On my YouTube account, I used to get regular videos from people who lived in Great Britain and described how bad things are getting with the Muslim invasion. I've noticed that almost all of these voices have fallen silent. It has obviously become too dangerous to speak your mind in that Island nation. The meltdown of the rule of law is also taking place here in America. When it was revealed that the FBI had planted a spy in the Trump campaign, the press jumped into action, making some Orwellian claim that the mole was just gathering information. In fact, they claim Trump should be grateful the feds were protecting him from Russian agents. There was no spy in the Clinton campaign to protect her. This type of reasoning is like the 1960's police saying they turned fire hoses on black freedom marchers because they assumed they were thirsty after their long march and thought they might need a drink of water. I think it is now too dangerous to visit England. I would never go to a country where a Judge could put you behind bars for no reason. By simply writing this article, I'm giving the British government reason enough to stop me at customs. One potential appeal of the Antichrist is that he will restore some form of order to the world. When Hitler came to power, he used brute force to end the political rioting-and he made the trains run on time. We have plenty of chaos. The only thing that remains is for the Beast to come to the rescue. "And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?" (Revelation 13:4). Proverbs 6:16-19 (The Israel Bible™) Turkey's increasingly authoritarian President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has strongly criticized Austria's recent decision to close mosques and expel Turkish-funded imams, calling the move "anti-Islamic." Erdogan, who has concentrated ever-increasing power in his own hands and those of his Justice and Development Party, was scathing of the Austrian announcement and seemed to threaten severe reprisals. "These measures taken by the Austrian prime minister [Sebastian Kurz] are, I fear, leading the world towards a war between the cross and the crescent," he said in a speech in Istanbul. It is said that the Austrian move could lead to the expulsion of up to 60 Turkish-funded imams and their families and would probably lead to up to seven mosques having to close - as part of a crackdown on what the Austrian government has termed "political Islam." Among the mosques facing closure is the Mosque of the Grey Wolves on Antonsplatz, in the working-class Vienna district of Favoriten, where the Gallipoli reenactment took place. (Gallipoli being the site of one of the worst Allied reverses in World War I, with tens of thousands of casualties at the hands of Ottoman-Turkish soldiers). Erdogan, speaking recently, said: "They say they're going to kick our religious men out of Austria. Do you think we will not react if you do such a thing?" "That means we're going to have to do something," he added without elaborating. There are an estimated 360,000 people of Turkish extraction living in Austria - making it the second largest minority in the country. This is in addition to between 2.5 million and 4 million currently residing in neighboring Germany. Relations between Turkey and Austria have been strained since 2016, when forces loyal to Erdogan brutally cracked down an alleged attempted coup to ouster the president, who has been at the center of Turkish political life since early in the Millennium. Tensions have recently increased due to the upcoming Turkish presidential elections on June 24, in which Erdogan faces strong competition from Muharrem Ince, and an increasingly skeptical local electorate. Daily Jot: Importance of good leadership - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com The Bible says in Proverbs 29:2, "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bears rule, the people mourn." Proverbs 28:15 says, "As a roaring lion, and a charging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people." America has had poor leadership for so long that many are repulsed by good leadership. Case in point is how the media has handled President Donald Trump's dealings with North Korea. The examples we have seen for decades in leadership from the White House have bent toward appeasing the wicked rather than dealing with them straightforward. Many Americans have been so lulled into the group think of appeasement, they are offended by the alternative. The definition of appease is "to make concessions to (someone, such as an aggressor or a critic) often at the sacrifice of principles." That is exactly what we have seen in the White House for so long that when someone doesn't appease an enemy, many get nervous to the point of apoplexy. President Jimmy Carter appeased the radical Iranians when they stormed the US Embassy in Tehran. This led to the establishment of the Islamic terrorist reign of the Ayatollahs. Carter did much the same with the Palestinian Liberation Organization in appeasing Yassir Arafat, rewarding his terrorist acts with White House recognition and billions of US foreign aid dollars, much of which Arafat pocketed. President Ronald Reagan persisted in calling the Soviet Union an evil empire. The news media and the liberals attacked him relentlessly, saying he would lead America into World War III. Reagan's straightforward tenacity eventually led to the dismantling of a regime that was responsible for the deaths of some 80 million people. When terrorist Moammar Kadafi of Libya was found responsible for the bombing of a West Berlin discotheque, Reagan bombed Kadaffi's compound in Libya. The media freaked. The Democrats cried. But no problems with Libya again until the most recent ex-"president." After the Reagan presidency, the long, slippery slope of appeasement took root in American leadership culture. Bush 41, Clinton, Bush 43, and the most recent ex-"president" all appeased Islam--from Saudi Arabia to Iran to the Palestinian Liberation Organization-terrorist sponsors all. Europe followed America's lead, kissing the ring fingers of the Islamic elite, appeasement on steroids. So it is no surprise that when a leader like Trump steps up and figuratively thumps a two-bit dictator in the chest, the world responds with fear and trepidation. Remember a year ago the world was talking about how Trump would start a nuclear war with North Korea. But Trump's strong, no-nonsense leadership has brought the promise of something good. He painted a positive vision of a developed, prosperous North Korea. Kim Jong Un agreed to lay down his arms. Time will test the success, but there is at least a chance. Good leadership in important. Am I saying that a single person can't have sex? Exactly. More importantly, that is what God is saying. Sex is not bad; it has been created by God. But there is a proper place for it, and that place is not outside of the marriage relationship. Someone might say, "Well, Greg, that is your interpretation, and I think it's very narrow. My God is loving and wants me to express myself. My God says it is okay for me to have sex with my boyfriend." Actually, I don't dispute that. I would just say her God is not the same as the God of Bible. She has another god, and I guarantee that god won't save her. The God of the Bible very clearly says this about sex: "God's will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin" (1 Thessalonians 4:3 NLT). Hebrews 13:4 says, "Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery" (NLT). And Proverbs 5:15 says, "Drink water from your own well-share your love only with your wife" (NLT). Outside of its proper context, sex can be extremely destructive spiritually and even physically. That's why there is no such thing as a so-called "one-night fling." People will say that it didn't mean anything. It means a lot. And the reason it means a lot is because when you enter into a sexual union with someone, you effectively become one flesh with them (see 1 Corinthians 6:15-16). There is always a way out of temptation, and sometimes it's as simple as the door. Flee temptation and don't leave a forwarding address.
