Trouble Ahead - By Daymond Duck -
https://www.raptureready.com/2020/06/14/trouble-ahead-by-daymond-duck/ When asked about the signs of His coming, part of Jesus' reply was: Famines, pestilences, earthquakes, persecution, etc. (Matt. 24:7-9): Coronavirus, locusts, damage churches, synagogues, etc. Kingdom against kingdom (ethnos against ethnos; people group against people group (Matt. 24:7): could include black race against white race, Sunni Muslims against Shiite Muslims, etc. Iniquity shall abound (Matt. 24:12): Abortion, gay marriage, riots, deceit, etc. Like the days of Noah (Matt. 24:37: Great wickedness (Gen. 6:5). Distress of nations with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring (Luke 21:25): riots and/or storms, hurricanes, etc. (Rev. 17:15). There now seems to be ample proof that America is the victim of an organized effort to weaken the U.S., and it could signal more trouble between now and the next election. I have concluded that Antifa, Black Lives Matter, extremist groups and socialists that give large sums of money to the Democrats and their Party (and to a lesser number of Republicans) are tools of the Deep State. If these people knew Bible prophecy, they would realize that God will let the Deep State succeed, and this submission to Satan is the beginning of an unstoppable worldwide day of trouble on earth (Zeph. 1:15). Here are ten signs that there is more trouble ahead. One, on June 2, 2020, Dave Hodges reported that Social Security is at risk, and the impact on Medicare is up in the air because of the Coronavirus lockdown. Millions of people are out of work and not paying into these funds, but the money is still going out; and some politicians are delaying the economic restart. Those on Social Security and Medicare need to vote in November and remember the politicians that refused to lift their stay-at-home orders when they were asked to let their citizens go back to work. Politicians that say hundreds of people marching in the streets, rioting and looting, won't spread the Coronavirus while refusing to allow churches and businesses to open because of the Coronavirus are clearly not acting in the best interests of our nation. Two, concerning a global economic collapse in the Tribulation Period, on June 1, 2020, the Congressional Budget Office projected that the U.S. will lose about $16 trillion in GDP over the next 10 years as a result of the Coronavirus shutdown. As that great sermon says, there is a payday someday. Three, on May 29, 2020, the U.S. Supreme Court essentially ruled that the First Amendment freedom of religion clause in the U.S. Constitution can be set aside by biased public officials. Chief Justice Roberts wrote an opinion that essentially said it is not unlawful for public officials to discriminate against churches by limiting attendance at church services, even though those same public officials did not limit attendance at bars, stores, theaters, and other places. As I understand what Roberts said, under certain circumstances public officials must have broad authority to act without being questioned despite the plainly stated freedom of religion clause in the U.S. Constitution. This kind of distorted thinking is no different from the thinking that says women have a Constitutional right to an abortion. Setting aside the U.S. Constitution has caused decades of trouble in our nation. Four, on June 3, 2020, it was reported that a former lawyer in the Obama administration posted a $250,000 bail for the woman accused of throwing a Molotov cocktail into a police car in New York City. The alleged firebomber is also accused of passing out Molotov cocktails to other rioters and looters. She was arrested in a van that was carrying bomb-making materials, and police have at least one photograph of her carrying a Molotov cocktail. It was reported that the former Obama administration lawyer that bailed out the firebomber received scholarships to attend law school from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans (Paul is a nephew of George Soros). George Soros denies that he is funding riots and looting, but his foundations have contributed millions of dollars to Democrats, Obama, (Hillary) Clinton, Biden, Antifa and Black Lives Matter. Some will say this article is too political, but it is not hard to find the political affiliation of the officials that protected the rioters and looters while citizens were being injured and killed (mostly black people whose lives didn't matter to the thugs and politicians that surrounded themselves with security forces), and businesses and police cars were burning, etc. It is a fact that NY Democrat Mayor DeBlasio's daughter was arrested, Democrat presidential Candidate Biden's staffers took up an offering to bail out protesters, and a lawyer in former Democrat Pres. Obama's administration bailed out a woman accused of throwing a Molotov cocktail into a police car. On June 6, 2020, six policemen were injured in Seattle by improvised explosives. Jesus said, "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself cannot stand" (Matt. 12:25). We may well be witnessing a New World Order attempt to divide the U.S., and God may be allowing it because Pres. Trump is pushing for a map that will divide Israel (Zech. 12:3). People are ignoring God and the Scriptures, and that is the real problem. Five, perhaps Christians should notice that a church (St. John's Episcopal Church in Washington D.C.) has been torched, a church (St. Patrick's Cathedral) in NY, two churches (St. Paul's Episcopal Church and West Broad Church of Christ in Richmond VA) have been vandalized, a Jewish group (Beth Ahabah in Richmond VA) had its windows broken out, and several Synagogues in Los Angeles have been damaged. The members of these churches and synagogues had nothing to do with the wrongful death of George Floyd (and for whatever it is worth, many black people are not blaming Pres. Trump, because his approval rating is going up with them). Lawless people with no respect for God desecrated these churches and synagogues, and it is a reminder that the ultimate lawless one (the Antichrist; against the Christ) is coming (II Thess. 2:5-12). Six, on June 5, 2020, the Minneapolis City Council agreed to disband their police department and replace it with a non-violent public safety group that "doesn't fear our residents" and "murder black men," according to one of the council members. They offered few details about how this will work or when it will start, the Mayor is opposing it, and other politicians (including the Mayor of New York) are talking about defunding the police. Change is needed; but without the police, lawlessness and anarchy will increase, and former New York policeman, Dan Bongino, predicts that thousands will die. I am not a prophet, but if politicians go through with this, I predict it will fail, and then they will call for UN troops to be brought in to disarm Americans. Seven, on May 28, 2020, Prime Min. Netanyahu indicated that he will move forward on the annexation of about 30% of Judea and Samaria on July 1, 2020, and he will accept Palestinian demilitarized rule (but not a state) over part of the Promised Land. In connection with this, PA leaders are consulting with Arabs, international groups, terrorist groups and others on ways to stop the annexation. For whatever it is worth, it is my understanding that the PA will not be allowed to have an independent state unless two things happen: 1)They agree to a peace treaty in the next four years (from Israel's agreeing to it) and 2) They are no longer a threat to the existence of Israel. Their agreement is not worth the trash that I set out by the side of the road. Eight, on June 1, 2020, Israeli Defense Min. Gantz ordered the Israeli military to prepare to deal with increased terrorism and violence when Israel annexes part of Judea and Samaria. He said, "Striving for peace while maintaining security (peace and safety) is foundational for every Israeli citizen." Saying "Peace and safety" is a reminder of trouble ahead (I Thess. 5:3). Nine, on June 1, 2020, it was reported that the U.S., Israel and Saudi Arabia are holding secret discussions with Jordan's knowledge to change the makeup of the Islamic Waqf that controls activities on the Temple Mount, with the goal of advancing Pres. Trump's peace proposal. Jordan is supposed to appoint, fund and control the Islamic Waqf, and Jordan has often refused to change the process; but Waqf members die, need to be replaced, etc., and some of the newer members have started taking money from Turkey. Jordan is quietly discussing changes with the U.S., Israel, and Saudi Arabia to get Turkey (non-Arabs) out of the picture. People should not conclude that this will lead to a rebuilt Temple, but it is linked to Trump's peace proposal, and it signals a softening of the Islamic position on the Temple Mount. Saudi Arabia is seeking a better relationship with Israel, and Jewish access to the Temple Mount would be a major breakthrough. Saudi Arabia is even encouraging the PA to start negotiating Trump's peace proposal with Israel. Ten, on June 6, 2020, it was reported that a national emergency has been declared in Pakistan where a locust plague of Biblical proportions is threatening 25 million people with famine. Look up, lift up your heads; true Christians will escape the worst of the trouble ahead (Luke 21:28). Prophecy Plus Ministries, Inc. Daymond & Rachel Duck [email protected] US In Moral Freefall As Everyone Does What Is Right In Their Own Eyes - By PNW Staff - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=4104 In those days Israel had no king; all the people did whatever seemed right in their own eyes. Judges 21:25 "The consequences of rejecting God's truth are undeniable. We know that what we believe dictates how we behave. Today, we are seeing the moral breakdown permeating the culture around us, and it is playing out with devastating consequences in our culture". This was the conclusion of Len Munsil, President of the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University who conducted a new poll in association with the Barna Group. The poll revealed 58 percent of respondents said they look to themselves or other people when making moral decisions. Less than one third said that they look to the Bible. The Center surveyed 2,000 adults at random in January, long before the impact of the Coronavirus and rioting across the country. The American Worldview Inventory study, interviewed all ages, ethnicities, beliefs and political persuasions on the telephone or online. A total of 58 percent of U.S. adults agreed that "identifying moral truth is up to each individual; there are no moral absolutes that apply to everyone, all the time," according to the survey. Sadly, 48 percent of adults who identified as born-again Christians agreed with the statement. The Cultural Research Center also found that the type of church the person attends often corresponded with their answer. "The adults most likely to rely upon a religious resource -- usually the Bible -- were those aligned with either an evangelical church (58%) or Pentecostal church (62%)," the report states. "People associated with a mainline Protestant congregation were most likely to rely upon themselves for moral wisdom (34%). Catholics were most likely to turn to other people (34%)." Evangelical church attendees (72 percent), Pentecostal church attendees (70 percent) and born-again Christians (69 percent) were among the most likely to say God is the basis of truth. Political conservatives were also most likely to rely upon the Bible (40%), while moderates (17%) and liberals (11%) were least likely, instead relying on their own feelings, beliefs, and knowledge for moral direction. Perhaps most troubling, the findings regarding the moral views of the youngest generation indicate this downward moral trajectory is likely to continue. Americans age 18 to 29 are least likely--only 15%--to turn to the Bible for moral guidance and instead look to themselves (29%) or to family (25%). This compares with about one-quarter of older Americans, including 23% of those ages 30 to 49, 25% of those 50 to 64, and 26% of those over 64. Even though young people reject the Bible as a source of moral guidance, hidden within the study's findings may be some encouraging news. As Munsil explained. "A sizeable percentage of young people still look to their family for moral guidance. It's important for parents and other family members to look for opportunities to share moral truth because the next generation wants to hear from them." Dr. George Barna said that he was not surprised at the results of the survey as he has observed America's departure from its moorings for decades. "The percentage of adults with a biblical worldview has been sliced in half since 1995," he remarked in a statement. "As Americans embrace the consequences of unrestrained moral choices, we will see further rejections of traditional marriage, conventional child-rearing practices and objectives, millions more abortions, excessive substance abuse, and wider acceptance of suicide, polygamy, sexual perversion, and religious persecution." "Any society that substitutes humanity's latest and greatest ideas for God's truth and authority is on the fast track to ruin," Barna warned. He said that much of the responsibility to change the trajectory of the nation lies in the hands of the Church and the family unit. "The restoration of biblical truth can facilitate the turnaround of a declining society," Barna stated. "It starts with churches relentlessly and consistently teaching biblical truth principles for practical application within all dimensions of life. It requires churches equipping parents to teach those truth principles to their children." "It demands parents placing their young people in educational, relational, and entertainment environments where God's truth principles are respected and practiced," he continued. "It advances by electing public officials who pass civil laws in harmony with God's religious Law." "Restoring our foundations will be neither easy nor quick, but such a turnaround can happen if a remnant of God's people devotes themselves to such a process of cultural deliverance." Why are there more wars in the Middle East than anywhere else? - Seth J. Frantzman - https://www.jpost.com/middle-east/why-are-there-more-wars-in-the-middle-east-than-anywhere-else-631510 Last night, Turkish airstrikes wreaked havoc in northern Iraq. Hours before the airstrikes, the US launched a secretive "ninja" missile at a car in northwest Syria, killing an alleged member of an Al-Qaeda-linked group. Then, around the same time Turkey's airstrikes were being launched, Iraqi investigators found a flatbed truck with rockets aimed at a base housing US soldiers near Baghdad. There were also Russian airstrikes reported in Idlib on Sunday, June 14. The huge number of airstrikes and battles taking place in the Middle East make it the most war-torn region in the world, with the largest number of countries and world powers engaged in conflict. Here is a quick rundown of all the wars happening in the Middle East. Iranian militias vs. the US Iranian-backed militias in Iraq have carried out dozens of attacks on bases in Iraq where US forces are present. Four members of the US-led coalition have been killed, including one contractor. The US has launched two rounds of airstrikes, in December 2019 and March 2020 against the Kataib Hezbollah faction. The US also killed IRGC head Qasem Soleimani and Kataib Hezbollah leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis in January. In response, Iran fired ballistic missiles at US bases. Washington sent air defense systems. The US also has tensions with Iran in the Persian Gulf, where the Islamic Republic mines tankers and harasses American ships. And there are tensions in Syria where Iran threatens US forces. Russian contractors serving with pro-Assad militias in Syria attacked US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces in February 2018 near Deir Ezzor. Israel vs. Iran and Hezbollah Israel has carried out more than 1,000 airstrikes in Syria against Iranian targets, according to retired IDF chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot in The New York Times in 2019. Tensions between Israel and Iran are high regarding Iranian entrenchment in Syria. Tehran may be repositioning forces now. Last August, Israel also detected a Hezbollah "killer drone" team near the Golan. In addition, Hezbollah figures have been killed in Syria and one of their cars destroyed by a drone strike they blamed on Israel. Last fall, on September 1, 2019, Hezbollah launched an anti-tank missile at Israel. Iran launched a drone at Israel from Syria in February 2018. Israel has used its air defense to down missiles and rockets fired from Syria. A salvo was fired at Israel in May 2018. In April 2020, Hezbollah cut holes in the security fence in northern Israel. Turkish-backed Libyans versus Egyptian-backed Libyans Turkey intervened in the nine-year Libyan Civil War in November 2019. Now Turkish drones are active and Turkish planes and ships have appeared off the coast. Turkey backs the Government of the National Accord in Tripoli against the Libyan National Army of Khalifa Haftar. Haftar is backed by Egypt, the UAE, France, Russia and others. The LNA tried to capture Tripoli last year but Turkey helped push it back. Now Ankara wants military bases in Libya. Egypt wants a ceasefire. France is angry at Turkey for trying to conduct a grab for energy resources in the Mediterranean and transfer weapons to Libya. Turkey has asked the US to support it in Libya. Russia sent warplanes to Libya to bolster Haftar after he faced setbacks in May. Russia and Iran in Syria versus Turkey and Syrian rebels in Syria Iran moved into Syria around 2012 to help the Assad regime fight Syrian rebels, and Russia intervened in 2015. With their help, Assad retook Aleppo in 2016 and southern Syria in 2018. Then Russia backed the Syrian regime offensives in Idlib, signing a deal with Turkey in September 2018 and another ceasefire in March. Russia and the Syrian regime also grabbed up areas the US withdrew from during a Turkish invasion in October 2019. Turkey has increased its role in Syria since 2016, invading areas around Jarabulus, then Afrin in 2018 and then Tel Abyad in 2019. Now it has sent thousands of tanks and soldiers to Idlib. Russia and Turkey conduct joint patrols on the M4 highway but Russia continues to bomb Syrian rebels. US vs. Russia and Iran in Syria The US says it wants to make Syria a Russian "quagmire." The Trump administration has carried out two rounds of air strikes on the Syrian regime. Meanwhile, Russia and the US have tensions in eastern Syria around Derik and Qamishli where patrols frequently try to run each other off the road. Things are tense. Russia has accused the US of a variety of crimes in Syria, and misinformation seeks to undermine the US role there. Meanwhile, Washington says it wants Iran to leave Syria and has condemned Moscow's role in the country. Saudi Arabia, the UAE and others against Iran in Yemen In 2015 the Houthi rebels in Yemen looked set to take Aden and control the Bab al-Mandab straits. Saudi Arabia intervened with a Gulf coalition. Along with the UAE, contractors and others, they pushed the Houthi rebels back. Iran moved drones and ballistic missiles to aid the Houthis and began firing them deep into Saudi Arabia. Eventually Iran even carried out a massive drone and cruise missile attack in September 2019 against Saudi oil facilities. Iran's Houthi allies also carried out dozens of drone attacks. Everyone vs ISIS The whole world has joined the anti-ISIS coalition led by the US - it has 82 members. These include heavy lifting by the US and some forces from France, the UK and other NATO members. Iran, Russia and Turkey also claim to be fighting ISIS. Although everyone is fighting ISIS, it is still having a small resurgence in Iraq. The US-backed SDF in Syria also holds 10,000 ISIS detainees and fights ISIS sleeper cells. The coalition trained and mentored more than 200,000 Iraqi soldiers and some 80,000 SDF members. These huge numbers are apparently not quite enough though: ISIS is still fighting. The US vs. al-Qaeda The US is still fighting al-Qaeda. In Syria, Libya and Yemen, air strikes kill members of the group from time to time. A "ninja sword" bomb used by US drones has sliced up several al-Qaeda members in recent years in Idlib. These extremists operate near the Turkish border. The US operates across borders to hunt them down. Israel vs. Islamic Jihad and Hamas Israel and Palestinian Islamic Jihad have seen tensions rise over the last two years. Hamas also embarked on a "March of Return" in 2018, carrying out protests for a year. In November and December 2019, Israel and Islamic Jihad came to blows. IJ leaders have been killed, as well as many of its fighters. They have launched hundreds of rockets at Israel; Hamas has refrained from joining some of the fighting. Turkey vs. the PKK Turkey had a ceasefire with the Kurdistan Workers Party up until 2015. When it broke down, Turkey fought a grueling war in its Kurdish cities. Then Ankara expanded the war, attacking Kurds in northern Iraq and then invading parts of Syria, claiming to be fighting PKK-affiliates. It invaded Afrin in January 2018 and carried out large scale operations in northern Iraq. On June 14, Turkey launched a new operation targeting Yazidi areas of Iraq, claiming that there are PKK bases there. Turkey also accuses the US of training PKK-linked groups in Syria. Egypt vs. ISIS Egypt has been fighting an ISIS insurgency in Sinai that has led to thousands of casualties. ISIS has carried out numerous atrocities, targeting Christians and mosques. Egypt has used its military to flood Sinai. However, ISIS is not defeated and the war continues. NO OTHER area in the world has so many complex conflicts. Every day in the Middle East there are airstrikes and threats of war or invasions. The region is an area of competition for global powers, such as Russia and the US. It is also an area where regional powers feel impunity to traffic weapons and send their armies across borders. Nowhere else in the world are there so many states operating across national borders or funding and arming proxies. Drones and new technology are being experimented with and updated in the Middle East. The region has seen ballistic missile strikes at new ranges, drone swarms and the use of air defense such as Iron Dome, Arrow 3 and Patriots to down threats. Jamming and new technology has assisted Turkey in Libya. In addition, the region's civil wars in Yemen, Libya and Syria are continuing. There are also rivalries, such as Qatar versus Saudi Arabia, that feed conflicts elsewhere. Nowhere else in the world are F-35s, MiG-29s, S-400s and other systems all being put into play with the chance that they will be used. The region is suffering the long-term challenges of the post-Cold War and post-War on Terror era. This era sees a return to stronger states after the Arab spring, as well as the chaos and rise of proxy groups and ungoverned spaces. The region is now seen as being up for grabs as the US begins to withdraw from areas like Syria or Afghanistan - and other states, such as Iran, Turkey, Russia and China are stepping in. This feeds conflicts as each country seeks greater hegemony and wants to take over areas in Syria, Libya or Yemen. In addition, terrorist groups and proxy armies and militias are well armed in the Middle East. Although they wreak havoc across the Sahel or Afghanistan, this is the region where they have the most funding, weapons and state support. The Middle East is the world's most war-torn region, and the warring won't be ending so soon. Play It Safe - Not! - By Dennis Huebshman - https://www.raptureready.com/2020/06/14/play-it-safe-not-by-dennis-huebshman/ It would stand to reason that if a person were to just go along with the program, and do everything our world leaders tell us to do, we would Play It Safe and live a very comfortable lifestyle. That's all well and good if all you're basing your entire existence on is this lifetime. (all emphasis mine) Our human bodies were initially designed to last forever, but because of the Genesis 3 fall due to sin, we became "mortal." As given in Psalm 90:10, "The days of our years are three score and ten [60+10=70], and if by reason of strength they be four score [80] years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off [dies] and we fly away." Living past 70 is a gift; however, it comes with certain downfalls. We're prone to "aging pains"; body function changes; blood-pressure changes; more open to disease; and sadly for many, dementia. Each year that we are given can be viewed as a blessing, but inwardly we're longing to put off this shell and go to our eternal home with Jesus. For true believers, that is. For those of this world, they want every minute they can possibly spend here, no matter what. Their eternity is not so inviting. One more point: we're not "guaranteed" even one more day here, much less 70 to 80 years. There are deaths of all age brackets every day, and most are not expected. To be open and declare ourselves as a "Christ Follower," today is an invitation to persecution. This is happening worldwide. In some areas, especially in the Middle East and parts of Africa, a person is subject to martyrdom just for being in Christ. In America, there are Satan-inspired groups that go after any Christian business, and try to get them shut down, or be put into bankruptcy defending themselves from ridiculous lawsuits. They know the owners are Christian, yet they try to order services and products that they know the business people cannot fulfill with a clear conscience. Photographers, bakers, florists and other businesses that are following Christian principles are being taken to court for what are described as "illegal" practices. There are numerous "secular" businesses who would gladly provide those services, yet the Christians are purposely being singled out for persecution. Jesus had no illusions about what His followers would face. John 16:33; "I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." Paul told Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:12, "Indeed, all who desire to live a Godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted; while evil people and impostors (false prophets) will go from bad to worse; deceiving and being deceived." Just a few verses later, he goes on to say our platform is solid in the Word of the Father, and we gain strength through faith and belief. Verses 16-17; "All Scripture is breathed out by God, and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be complete, equipped for good work." For the Scriptures to be beneficial, they must be read regularly. Peter backs this up in 2 Peter 1:20-21; "knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." In 2 Peter 2, he goes on to describe that there will be false teachers that will be among the people who are Satan-inspired. Their goal is to blaspheme the Holy Word for their own greed and evil motivations to lead people away from the Lord. He tells that they will be condemned, but they will cause damage while here. Now is not the time for those who are putting out the true word of the Father to lay back and "Play It Safe." We are seeing subtle changes in social media where messages of faith are being blocked; yet those of false prophets and antichrists are not. Many evangelical churches have changed from preaching the true word from the Bible, to putting on entertainment sessions with catchy music and ear-tickling messages that are not biblical. They just sound good so that the listener will return regularly and fill seats and collection plates. There is no mention of sin and eternal punishment. This will only get worse and speed up as time passes and the new world order takes more control. After the Rapture, and once the ultimate antichrist takes over, all worship will be directed toward him, or the people will suffer terrible fates. In 1 John 2-5, we are warned that there would be an increase in false prophets and antichrists in the last days. In Revelation, John tells of what the final antichrist and false prophet will do in a 7-year tribulation period of time that will be more horrible than has ever been on this earth. It also tells of their final fate in the Lake of Fire. Yes, I am a true believer in My Lord and Savior Jesus, as is my wife. I could just play it safe, and reason to myself that there are many Bibles out there, and do nothing to pass on His precious words of eternal life. Problem is, there are many people in this world who are looking for something, and the messages others and myself put out may be just the key that the Holy Spirit will use to bring another soul to the Savior. For me to not try and get My Jesus' message out to as many as possible is just not in my nature. When I called out for His forgiveness over 30 years ago, it became a personal commitment for me to share His blessings and glory with all who will listen. Using the Savior's example, I will not try to force anyone to accept the Gospel. I do try to present His messages in plain, easy-to-understand language, yet give all honor, praise and glory to Him. After all, He has provided His words to me through His wonderful love letter (Bible), and it's only fitting they be shared. All the current signs worldwide are saying that we are nearing the end of this age. We are the generation that Jesus spoke of when He said to look up, because He would soon be coming for us (Luke 21:28). The "Fig Tree" bloomed on May 14, 1948, as Israel became a sovereign nation for the first time in over 2,000 years; a feat no other nation has ever accomplished. No one should be surprised, as God said this would happen, and it did. As written, they have become prosperous and strong, considering they are about the size of New Jersey. Israel has not been replaced by the Church; and right after the Rapture, God will again turn His full attention to them (Romans 11:25) At this present time, it's reported that only about 1% - 2% of the total Jewish population worldwide is Messianic - accept Jesus as Messiah. By the end of the tribulation/wrath period, that figure will be 100%, although nearly 2/3 will perish before the touch-earth return of the Savior. Jesus did not "Play it Safe" even though He could have stopped being brutalized at any time. He fulfilled His mission to provide for all of us the perfect sacrifice that would cover our sins. Our part in this is to confess to Him we are sinners (Romans 3:23), and ask His forgiveness. We must have faith and believe He died on that cross, and the Father raised Him from the dead three days later to conquer sin and death once and for all. He ascended back to Heaven (Raptured), and will come again to call up all true believers to meet Him in the air to keep us from the coming wrath. False prophets will say there's many ways to Heaven, and we all worship the same god. John 14:6 and Acts 4:12 specifically show this is untrue. John 3:18 and 1 John 5:12 plainly state that whoever has the Son (Jesus) also has the Father. Without Jesus, there is no path to God, but a broad road that will lead to the Lake of Fire with Satan and his demons. Therefore, it is good to "Play it Safe" by receiving and accepting the wonderful gift that Jesus provided for all of us at Calvary. If anyone truly calls out to Him to be saved, He will turn no one away (Acts 2:21 and Romans 10:9-13). Play It Safe; call out to Him today - tomorrow is not promised, and He will be coming for us very soon. To take your last breath here on earth without Jesus is final and irreversible (Revelation 20:11-15). Shalom! [email protected] Daily Jot: Cancel Culture and Liberty - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com We are living in a culture where activist shout down, try to cancel out, and label people who don't agree with them. For example, anyone who believes that black people should be treated equally and fairly in society, cannot possibly support President Trump. Recently, a former professional football player said that those who support Trump, and are also supporting an end to racism, are insincere. Those who want to abolish police forces will call you a fascist and racist if you disagree. Author JK Rowling recently gave her opinion in favor of the traditional male-female relationship, and the radical left exercised extreme "cancel culture" methods to silence her. Sadly, the socialist radical left is become the mainstream left. Cancel culture calls for boycotting a person because of perceived problematic behaviors or actions. When the larger public decides someone is "canceled," it will avoid supporting or engaging with that person, trying to foment a decline in that person's relevance. Professor and social commentator Jordan Peterson explains this as underserved access to power. He says the classical defense for free speech is that it is good to exchange opinions. In dialogue, we can alter one another's opinions in a way that is mutually beneficial. But Peterson says, "There is no autonomous individual in the post-modern world. You don't have ideas or opinions. There is your group, your identity, your struggle for power and that's all." The current environment in America reflects this phenomena and it is very dangerous to your freedoms of speech and religion. Socialists are trying to place a death grip on our free society. Christians must stand otherwise freedom will cease to exist. "Freedom sees in religion the companion of its struggles and its triumphs, the cradle of its infancy, the divine source of its rights. It considers religion as the safeguard of mores; and mores as the guarantee of laws and the pledge of its own duration."-these are the words of Alexis de Tocqueville, a French aristocrat who came to America in the 1830s to observe what made the country so great. His "Democracy in America" is considered a historic treasure about the unique success of the United States. Tocqueville wrote that America is free because of its collective Christian religion. What we are experiencing today is not new, just louder. Cotton Mather wrote in 1820, "There is a liberty of corrupt nature, which is affected both by men and beasts, to do what they list; and this liberty is inconsistent with authority, impatient of all restraint; by this liberty we are all inferior; 'tis the grand enemy of truth and peace, and all the ordinances of God are bent against it. But there is a civil, a moral, a federal liberty, which is the proper end and object of authority; it is a liberty for that only which is just and good; for this liberty you are to stand with the hazard of your very lives." Galatians 5:1 says, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." As Christians, we must demand and accept no other form of liberty. Daily Devotion: The Touchable Heart - by Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. - Psalm 126:5 I remember the first time I went to church after I became a Christian. I was 17, and a random girl walked up to me, gave me a hug, and said, "I love you, brother!" I thought, "I don't even know you. And why are you touching me?" As a result of my crazy childhood, my heart had become hard. We didn't express emotion in our home, so I closed myself off to the world. I justified it my telling myself that's how I survived. I found it difficult to give love and accept it, even though I felt it. But when Christ comes into your life, your heart becomes more touchable. It goes out to those who are suffering or hurting or abused. Simon and Garfunkel sang, "I have no need of friendship; friendship causes pain. It's laughter and it's loving I disdain. I am a rock. I am an island." Some people are like that. They're rocks. But when you become a Christian, your heart gets softened. As C. S. Lewis pointed out, "To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and you heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken." As believers, we should have a heart for those who are hurting. Don't condemn them; reach out to them and love them. Don't judge them; have compassion for them. We don't want to waste our pain or our tears. The psalmist tells us, "Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him" (Psalm 126:5-6 NLT). One day, God will right every wrong. He will bring beauty out of ashes and give us joy instead of mourning. Until that day, we need to lovingly represent Him to those who are hurting. FROM THE HEART

"Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ.
