The great divide between the earth and its inhabitants and hell and its inhabitants has always remained a mystery. Upper Sheol in the First Testament was the abode of the righteous dead and Lower Sheol and Hell fire was the abode of the wicked dead. Even between these two separate locations, there was an impossible gap. Abraham plainly told the rich man in Hell that none could pass between the two abodes. "And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence." Luke 16:26. Jesus told this great story to teach the truth of man's eternal destiny. The gulf between the two abodes was very narrow compared to the gulf between the Earth and Hell. In fact, man is forbidden to ever consider communication with the dead across that gulf. Scripture teaches us clearly that the abode of this wicked is in the heart of the earth. Upper Sheol no longer exists because Jesus Christ led the captives out of their captivity and they ascended with Him to dwell in His presence. They are awaiting the resurrection of their body. The righteous dead in the Old Testament could not escape death and its bondage until Jesus Christ was crucified and arose from the dead. Now, the gulf is only between Lower Sheol and the Earth. No one should attempt any contact with the location of Hell or the people that are damned. Those in Hell are awaiting the White Throne Judgment, where they will appear to give account to the rejected Creator of this universe.
Joel, an Old Testament prophet gave a preview of this ninth chapter of Revelation. "Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array. Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness. They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march everyone on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded." Joel 2:1-8. There is no possible interpretation of this passage but the truth before us. Joel's army is clearly paranormal, wicked, and set to destroy the exact character of demons. All future judgment and End Time prophecies find their perfect fulfillment in this masterpiece of literature. Revelation 9 4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. 5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. 6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. 7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. The chasm between Hell and the bottomless pit at the deepest extreme of Hell is about to be bridged to the earth for the Great Tribulation. Satan and the Father will use every wicked resource: Satan will use them to work havoc and the Father will use them to judge and destroy their own kind. The devil's history is full of the destruction of his followers. The demon-possessed write of their own war with each other and the dangers, as a demon-possessed individual tried to climb the ladder of priesthood in their dark realm. There is no doubt that Satan's kingdom is in the realm of darkness and every aspect of their character is darkness and destruction. "And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit." Revelation 9:1-2 The darkest place in God's universe is about to open onto the earth. Remember that Jesus Christ the Lamb opened the seventh seal; out from that seal appeared seven angels with seven trumpets. This is the fifth of those angels sounding their trumpets. And another angel, one of the seven Cherubim assigned to His churches, descended quickly from heaven. Remember, an individual angel or cherubim was assigned to each church during the Church Dispensation. The seven stars were the angels of the seven churches, which are now established in Heaven since the Rapture. They are the defenders of righteousness in the earth and that includes redemption and judgment. This great star or Cherubim has a key to the bottomless pit. No one, demon or human that has ever been assigned to that pit was ever let out before. The gate has never been unlocked on the exit side of this dark chasm. Everything and everyone inside the bottomless pit is as wicked as they could possibly be. They are corrupt with corrupting personalities and have longed for an opportunity to vent their fury. If this crowd had not been held in captivity, this earth would have descended into an even darker and deeper vileness. Their captivity has been part of God's restrictive plan until the fated hour should arrive. When the great gate was opened, the smoke of this furnace quickly darkened the universe. The sun and moon, plus the atmosphere are covered and filled with the very spirit and darkness of this frightful abyss. No doubt the smoke is but a conveyor of a stench and presence that darkens the mind of every soul it touches. There will be no pure light until this open door to Hell is closed, and it will not be closed until this seal is finished. "And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. Revelation 9:3-6 These creatures are nothing less than demons with dark powers that Satan has trained and mobilized for his honor. Hell and the bottomless pit is indeed a place of fire and brimstone, but it cannot devour spirits or souls. It can only torment and create an atmosphere of misery. In this abyss the spirits and souls will scheme, plan, and anticipate the day when they can spread their misery. That day has come in this text. Like locusts, hungry to devour, they have power like scorpions and inflict pain that will seem unbearable. They will be commanded to hurt nothing of nature, but only the wicked that have rejected the God of Righteousness and do not have the seal of the Father and His Lamb in their forehead. They cannot kill these wicked souls but are commanded to torment them. The torment lasts for five months with a pain that goes to the depth of human captivity. The wicked have killed and maimed the righteous and God-honoring; now, the tide has turned. This great multitude will seek to die and will make every effort to take their own life, but death will be beyond their reach. Revelation 9 12 One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter. 13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. Chapter eight started the period of God's revenge on the godless that mercy could not touch. They cannot blame the Father or the Lamb because mercy and forgiveness was held before this world for at least the first three and a half years. Even now, the door is open to repent, but this multitude wants no repentance. Now, the misery is too dark to see past. "And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months." Revelation 9:7-10 The appearance given to these spirits and souls was planned to create the very atmosphere of the bottomless pit. Misery loves misery; now, misery has invaded the world. Their appearance is like horses, crowned with gold and having faces like men. They have hair like women and teeth like lions. They wear breastplates of iron and they have wings like many chariots racing to destroy. Their tails are quick to inflict pain and torment. It's a scene of Hell on Earth for indeed hell has invaded the earth. These amazing creatures are servants of Satan and are venting his fury against his own worshippers. Satanism has never made sense because it is the opposite of a sane mind. God the Father actually uses Satan to punish himself and his followers and to show that the very nature of evil is to destroy. Evil does not have the ability to do good. This Seven Years of Tribulation will reveal all that is evil for a final display of its nature. "And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter." Revelation 9:11-12 Satan's kingdom is organized. The Book of Ephesians shows four levels of the hierarchy of Lucifer. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12. The organization of evil is off the radar of human sight and understanding. We fail to see how sinister it is in our normal world. The Book of Revelation actually pulls the cover off and we can begin to catch a better picture. This king over the bottomless pit is a destroyer. He is one of Hell's most powerful creatures. Revelation 9 15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. 16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. 17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. Everything represented in every name one can find for Satan in Scripture shows that there is ano capacity for good even to their own. This king has prepared his army well, they do their job under his leadership, and their only reward is more of Hell. One woe is over, but two more are on the way. "And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates." Revelation 9:13-14 A voice rings out from the very altar of God. The sixth angel has blown his trumpet and the depth of judgment must be made manifest. Satan has always been on a leash. He can do only what he is allowed. These four angels have been bound because of previous deceptions and dark deeds. They are masterminds of evil and have, by necessity, been bound awaiting judgment here. Their location of dwelling is in the Babylonian vicinity, because this is Satan's stronghold. They must be loosed to finish the task that wickedness demands. It's fitting that during Satan's last rampages his powers will be concentrated out of his natural habitat. Babylon will be fully rebuilt and occupied. His Antichrist will rule from this city. Evil will develop right out of Babylon and will spread out over the whole earth. "And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurT." Revelation 9:15-19 Hell's fury will certainly arise from the center of the Beast's kingdom. There is certainly some connection between the first half of this chapter and this second horde of spirits. They both issue from the earth or beneath the earth. Their former dwelling place is Hell or the abyss. They all serve the devil and his principalities. Their period of destruction is one year, one month, one day and one hour. They will make use of every minute and one-third of earth's population will be slain. The size of this great demonic army is threatening to consider. Two hundred million trained, equipped, and vicious demonic spirits will go out from one geographical area to invade the earth. Two hundred million suicide bombers all dressed in explosives could not do the damage this multitude will do. John saw the vision and describes them. He called them "horseman" or half horse, half man with "breastplates of fire, jacinth and brimstone." Their heads are like lions and they breath out smoke, fire, and brimstone. The very sight of this army is enough to cause the world to seek death before they even arrive. Their power is both from their mouth and in the tail. They kill coming and going. This kind of creature is being portrayed in mythology and has been trivialized until Revelation seems a joke. When the national news shows this evil footage, the fun will disappear. Demons have previously taken on the appearance of holy angels or an angel of light, but that capacity is no longer available. When the angels of God cast Satan out of his second heavenly empire, he will be stripped of his powers to appear holy like holy angels. His only appearance must derive from his character and this vision is the results. What you are really seeing in this vision is Satan and his demons exactly as they are in their culture. Finally, Satan will look like the devil and all of his horde of spirits will look the same. "And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts." Revelation 9:20-21 Unimaginably, there is still a multitude that will not repent. The call to repentance has not subsided. Angels are always flying through the Heavens calling men to repent. We will see that in future passages. The flesh loves its gods of self, devils, idols, and wealth. The sin of Adam was caused by the desire for things, especially things that touch the emotions. God must have known that if man fell, it would be because He gave Him that wonderful creative ability to be emotional, to feel things, and to have emotions of desire, success, and triumph. Man's most beautiful creativity is his emotions, but they are also his downfall when the heart is deceived. At this point, the world's population is almost totally given to the lust of unbridled emotions. Nothing can help a man when his emotions are unchecked and Satan will produce just that kind of world when God gives him free reign for the coming seven years of tribulation. From breitbart.com Emmanuel Bonaparte: Macron Declares He Will Govern Like a Roman God French president Emmanuel Macron has declared he will govern France like Jupiter, the Roman king of the gods, shortly officials told the media his thought process was "too the newly elected president of France - wouldn't you say? complex" for journalists to understand. Summoning over 900 politicians from both houses of the French parliament to a rare Congress at the palace of Louis XIV - the 'Sun King' - in Versailles. Such assemblies are usually reserved for times of national crisis, but the former banker used his to threaten to overrule lawmakers with a referendum if they try to frustrate the "reforms" he wishes to impose on the legislature. Reuters reports him as saying he desires to reign as a "Jupiterian" president - "a remote, dignified figure, like the Roman god of gods, who weighs his rare pronouncements carefully". This bizarre statement of intent comes just days after Macron scrapped the president's tradition Bastille Day press conference, with an Elysée Palace official claiming the president's thoughts are "too complex" for journalists. The 39-year-old's "complex thought process lends itself badly to the game of question-and-answer with journalists", the spokesman explained - prompting much mockery in the French press. It has been speculated that Macron is keen to cultivate an aloof, almost imperial aura after being derided as a placeman for the unpopular socialist François Hollande, in whose government he served as economy minister, or as a poodle for Angela Markel, the German chancellor widely regarded as the European Union's driving force. "You are the heir of François Hollande," scoffed nationalist rival Marine Le Pen during their head-to-head election debate. "We now call you Baby Hollande; Hollande Junior!" She added that, whatever the outcome of the election, "France will be led by a woman: either me or Mrs. Merkel." Much of the commentary on Macron's alleged natural submissiveness hints at his relationship with his wife - twenty-five years his senior - with Italy's larger-than-life former president Silvio Berlusconi teasing that he is "a nice lad with a good-looking mum". Efforts by the EU loyalist to strengthen his public standing by picking fights with the governments of Central Europe, who have been resolutely defiant in the face of attempts by Brussels to impose compulsory migrant quotas on them, have been less than successful. Hungarian premier Viktor Orbán gently dismissed him as "a new boy" who had yet to find his feet. "Macron's entrance wasn't too encouraging, as he thought the best way to show friendship was to immediately kick Central European countries. This isn't how we do things around here, but he'll soon get to know his way around," he added. Posing as the EU's champion against President Donald Trump has also backfired, with a pointed, public snub of the U.S. leader in favor of Angela Merkel and other Europeans at a G20 summit ending in embarrassment when the 70-year-old manhandled him with a powerful handshake. Macron was clearly rattled by the exchange, granting a brief interview with journalists in order to emphasise that another handshake with President Trump - in which the Frenchman clung on for dear life - was a "moment of truth" in which he supposedly demonstrated that he "would not make small concessions, not even symbolic ones". Something that was originally conceived as a grandiose pageant of poli4cal marke4ng will come to a conclusion next Sunday in France. A young man with an evident Oedipus complex who has never held a single elected office and who was almost unknown just three years ago is now preparing to fill the seat once occupied by Georges Clémenceau and Charles de Gaulle in the Élysée Palace. Although it went unnoticed by the public, his campaign actually began back in June 2014. That was when Jacques Aliyah the recognized "éminence grise" of the Fifth Republic, first introduced his young protégé, at a Bilderberg Club meeting in Copenhagen. Back then, the latter was serving as the deputy secretary general to the president of France. But given President Hollande's dismal approval ratings at the time, he was advised to distance himself from his boss, which he did, resigning 10 days after returning from Denmark. By that August, owing to a government crisis, Macron ended up as the economy minister for a period of 24 months, during which he was best remembered for having underpriced the powerhouse of the French high-tech industry, Alstom, when it was sold to General Electric, as well as for a string of scandals over the misappropriation of government funds and for forcing through an odious law written at Aliyahi's behest called "Equality of Economic Opportunities" (an innocent-enough sounding name for what was actually a crackdown on clan to emerge over the course of the almost six decades of the Fifth Republic's existence. Their first "project" in a top government position was the French prime minister - and later president - Georges Pompidou, who began working for the Rothschilds in 1954. Interestingly, Pompidou was no expert in banking or finance, but this did not stop Guy de Rothschild (1909-2007) from appointing this man to head the Messieurs de Rothschild Frères bank despite his professional background as a high-school literature teacher. In the dramatic month of May 1968, Pompidou was directed by his bosses to issue a challenge to the founder of the Fifth Republic, Charles de Gaulle, in order to win his own entrance into the Élysée Palace the following year. In 1973 Pompidou passed a law that some spiteful tongues dubbed "la loi Pompidou-Giscard- Rothschild," under which private bankers gained de facto control over the French financial system. Ironically, it was while Pompidou was in office that the famous writer and rebel Jean-Paul Sartre founded his celebrated leftist newspaper Libération in 1973, so that the French would finally have a periodical that spurned both big banks and advertising. But just over 40 years later, the banker Édouard de Rothschild became the biggest shareholder in the troubled Libéra4on, adding that newspaper to his media empire. As a result, just a glance at this single web page is enough to gain an appreciation for the magnitude of the "Macron-mania" that has been raining down upon the heads of the dispirited French in recent months from the pages of the Rothschild-controlled media. Naturally Macron is a champion of pop-futurism. He is going to turn the French into the ideal nomads, à la Aliyah - a precariat class that has acquired a few skills and some passable English, but lacks a steady job, a reliable profession, a real salary, and a future. He spins fairy tales for French young people about the "creative class" - the dream of a degenerate civilization - but he fails to mention that the society of the future will have no use for all the slackers who vote for him. He is guided by the neoliberal premise that the main task of a declining state is to give its citizens the chance to ceaselessly change and adapt to the infamous global market, instead of doing anything at all to protect jobs, decent pensions, and the national interests. Therefore, the May 7 victory of yet another mousy little man that is being strenuously programmed by the media may well be the last in the history of the Fifth Republic - and it is certainly no harbinger of the Sixth. France is poised to step into the grave that has already been dug for her. Macron became an investment banker at Rothschild & Cie Banque at the age of 30. Mentored by the Rothschild family - this man certainly has no issues with self esteem. As a matter of fact, if a new "Left Behind" movie was to come out, Emmanuel Macron could step into the role as Antichrist and pull it off quite brilliantly. His first name "Emannuel" means "God with us." With the convergence of events within the last year lining up neatly with Bible prophecy; the entrance of this man onto the world stage is a bit too coincidental for me. But, we will wait and see.... We are looking for Jesus Christ - our Blessed Hope. Those left behind will experience the wrath of God during the unspeakable horror of the Great Tribulation. The protestant church, which is one of the largest in the U.S., with close to a million members, notably previously including former President Barack Obama for many years, passed the resolution titled "A Call for the United Church of Christ to Advocate for the Rights of Children Living Under Israeli Military Occupation" on Sunday night at the general synod in Baltimore, with 79 percent voting in favor, 13 percent against and nine percent abstaining. The resolution calls for "attention to the plight of children suffering under Israel's prolonged military occupation of the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza." It continues with the claim that Palestinian children are "living with constant fear of arrest, detention and violence at the hands of Israeli forces" and calls on Israel to "exercise an absolute prohibition against torture and ill-treatment of detained children." The UCC's resolution fails to mention any culpability on the part of the Palestinian Authority for the mistreatment of children, nor does it make any mention of whether these "detained children" were caught while carrying out terror attacks. As of last August, 47 of the terror attacks carried out against Israelis in the latest wave of violence sometimes dubbed by Palestinian media the "al-Aksa" or "knife" Intifada, were carried out by children and youth in their early to mid-teens. The Israeli Mission to the UN's legal adviser Amit Heumann told the UN Security Council at the time that attacks carried out by youth were "the direct result of the venomous hatred preached to children in Palestinian society." "Palestinian children are fed a steady diet of hatred for Israel and glorification of violence in the lessons they learn in school, in the sermons they hear in the mosque and in the streets that are named after terrorists," he added. Apart from inciting violence against Israelis, the PA has shown on multiple occasions that Palestinian children can be used as pawns in other ways, for example in political infighting between the PA and its rival, the terrorist group Hamas, which rules Gaza. Last month, Hamas' Health Ministry claimed that three infants had died as a result of not receiving permits from the PA to receive urgent medical treatment in Israel. Gazans who wish to leave the Strip in order to undergo medical treatment elsewhere must first receive permission from the PA. Physicians for Human Rights-Israel (PHRI) accused the PA of cutting medical aid to Gaza by around 90 percent. Whereas in 2016, the PA approved 2,041 requests for Gazans to travel to Israel or the West Bank to receive treatment, in the last two months the number dropped to only 120. Hamas took the PA to task for allowing children to die. "The behavior of [PA President] Mahmoud Abbas in stopping the medical transfers for Gaza's sick, which has led to the martyrdom of a number of children, constitutes crimes against humanity," said senior Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zurhi in a statement over Twitter. Hamas itself, however, is not averse to martyring its own. As Heumann pointed out the UNSC last year, "Hamas uses young boys to dig their terror tunnels, and uses children of all ages - along with their mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, to serve as human shields." For over half a decade, Hamas has been employing this tactic. The group itself admitted that in 2012 "at least 160 children have been killed in the tunnels" during construction, the Institute for Palestine Studies found in a report. Hamas also admitted during 2014's 50-day conflict with Israel that it fired rockets at Israel from within its own civilian population. At the time the UN further revealed that rockets had been found in UNWRA schools on multiple occasions. A report from the international body a year later confirmed that the terror group both stored and fired weapons from UN schools. As recently as last month, the UN reported that it had found terror tunnels under two of its schools in Gaza. Yet the UCC's newest resolution makes no mention whatsoever of any infractions against children on the part of the Palestinian leadership. Instead, the vote is the latest in a series of anti-Israel motions the protestant denomination has approved. Two years ago, the church voted to divest from companies that profit from Israel's control of the West Bank. Rabbi Noam Marans, the American Jewish Committee's (AJC) director of interreligious and intergroup relations, responded by saying the measure was "deeply disappointing" and continued "a trajectory dictated by the BDS movement, accusing Israel exclusively of human rights violations and preventing the end of the conflict." "The real solution to problems of necessary detention of children who commit acts of violence is a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians that leads to two states for two peoples," said Marans. "The latest UCC resolution does nothing to advance the possibility of peace. Rather, by continuing to demonize Israel, UCC supports those who oppose peace." The Pattern Of Palestinian Lies To US Presidents - By Leonard Getz - http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=1356 When Mahmoud Abbas visited the White House in May, he assured Donald Trump that "we are raising our children, our grandchildren on a culture of peace." But when President Trump met with Abbas in Bethlehem, the US leader was furious. "You lied to me," Trump reportedly said. "The Israelis showed me that you are involved in incitement." Indeed, there's an abundance of proof that Abbas is a systemic liar. For example, Abbas and his Fatah cohorts constantly praise Palestinians who have murdered innocent Israelis -- despite claiming to support "peace." Fatah leader Nabil Shaath recently said that the Palestinians' right to use "armed struggle" was "indisputable." In addition to misleading Trump, Abbas also lied to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson about stopping payments to terrorists' families. Tillerson later had to admit -- once again -- that the Trump administration had been duped. Abbas apparently told Jared Kushner that the Palestinian Authority's payments to terrorists and their families were the government's "social responsibility." Sadly, this is not the first series of lies that PA governments have tried to hoist on American presidents. Yasser Arafat lied to President George W. Bush when he promised that he was no longer involved in terrorism or importing weapons into PA territories. In January 2002, the Israeli Navy seized a Lebanese cargo ship -- the Karine-A -- that was en route to the Palestinian Authority. It contained Katyusha rockets, anti-tank missiles, sniper rifles, mines and 3,000 pounds of C4 explosive -- enough to supply 300 suicide bombs. Israeli intelligence agencies provided US officials evidence of Arafat's direct involvement in the shipment, but Arafat told Bush that he had "no knowledge of the Karine-A." "I am disappointed in Yasser Arafat," President Bush said on January 25, 2002. A National Review article at the time quoted an Arab journalist who loved Bush, "because Arafat told him that he had nothing to do with the Karine-A, and Bush found out it was a lie. Everyone tolerates Arafat's lies. But not Bush!" The Karine-A affair triggered the Bush administration's re-assessment of Arafat. In response, Bush called for Arafat's removal from power -- and refused to invite him to the White House. But the greatest pack of lies were those heaped on President Bill Clinton. Arafat constantly told Clinton that he wanted "peace" -- despite all evidence to the contrary. Former Clinton official Dennis Ross said that Abbas really wanted "a one-state solution...a single Arab state encompassing all of historic Palestine." While Arafat claimed to renounce terrorism and support peace with Israel, he was simply lying to Clinton. White House spokesman Jake Siewert summed it up best in January 2001: "In the end, words don't matter here. Deeds do." When it comes to the current Palestinian leadership, every day that incitement is supported, endorsed and encouraged by the Palestinian Authority, is a day that Abbas is lying to President Trump. Trump now has a choice. Will he follow the principled path of President Bush -- who refused to have anything more to do with a lying Palestinian leader? Or will he follow President Clinton's misguided trust in a Palestinian leader and continue on the same potholed path to "peace" with a perennial liar and terrorist supporter? Because we live in a world full of danger, it has long been important to keep tabs of the risks we face. For most of human history-war, disease, natural disasters and economic perils have been major risks to our human existence. The threat of danger made us take preventive action that helped lower the risk of unfortunate events. In 2017, we seem to have developed a carefree attitude about risks. People look at the chance of various calamities and just shrug with little or no reaction. Reports have been circulating over the past few weeks that the ground under Yellowstone Park has been rumbling. Between June 12 and June 27, Yellowstone experienced an earthquake swarm of 900 events, the majority of which were magnitude 1 or below. This was the highest number of earthquakes at Yellowstone within a single week in the past seven years. Since Yellowstone is a super-volcano-if it were to erupt-a vast area of the U.S. could be devastated by the massive ash fallout. As these tremors continue, the amount of concern should rise at an exponential rate. The folks at the U.S. Geological Survey say there is no reason for concern about the quakes. For three weeks now this government agency has issued a steady stream of soothing propaganda. It even said if Yellowstone were to blow, "the eruption produced would probably be fairly inconsequential." I don't see what is inconsequential about 100 cubic miles of ash covering half of the continental U.S. The USGS alert scale should go directly from "No need to worry" to "We're all going to die." For the past few years, the U.S. and Russia have been playing a game of cat and mouse with each other's aircrafts. Russian jets would fly dangerously close to our jets and we would occasionally buzz them back. The day will eventually come when the jets will crash into each other. During the Cold War, our military kept a respectable distance from each other to prevent World War III. The current general view seems to be that there is an invisible force that will prevent a collision. The lack of concern about risk can be seen on Wall Street. I remember when you could detect international incidents by a sudden drop in the Dow Jones average. Today, the stock traders are generally oblivious to news events. Last week, an American fighter jet shot down a Syrian aircraft, and the Dow didn't even fling. In fact, it went on to close at a record high that day. There is an index on Wall Street designed to track financial risk; the Volatility Index (VIX) is a complex fear gauge that is based on the price of options place against S&P 500 stocks. During the crash of 1987 it went up to 150. During the Great Recession of 2008, it went up to 80. The VIX is currently at 9, which is right near its lowest reading in the history of this index. Federal Reserve chief Janet Yellen only sees blue skies for the financial markets. She thinks the changes to the architecture of the monetary system have made it unlikely for us to "see a financial crisis in our lifetime." History shows that these types of comments typically occur right before a crash. The optimistic attitude toward risk could be attributed to our strange odds in avoiding calamity. We've had a series of major bankruptcies with Detroit, Puerto Rico, and various banks in Europe. Each time there were fears these events might trigger a 1929 style crash, but nothing happened. With the state of Illinois teetering on the edge of insolvency, people are indifferent to the likelihood of the first U.S. state to have its debt downgraded to junk status. People just assume the financial fairies with fix their coming bankruptcy. We can't point to good fortune to explain the lack of concern over terrorism. The risk of being killed by an Islamist is growing by the day. We should be using basic logic to assess Islam as a dangerous risk, and then take protective action. The more people that are killed by Muslim terrorists, the more determined our leaders are at labeling this religion as "risk free." I think the lack of concern over risk is the result of Satan gaining a stronger foothold in this world. As nations become overrun by wickedness, people are losing the ability to measure risk. The profound level of blindness that we see all around us is a strong indication that the Rapture must be very near. Other sources claimed the temperature in Ahvaz climbed even higher, hitting 129.2 (54 Celsius) later that day. If that reading is accurate, it could tie the hottest temperature ever measured on Earth in modern times. According to Jewish tradition, Elohim is the name of God designating His aspect revealed through nature. It is also the name of God describing his aspect of judgement. The Bible frequently describes divine retribution coming through extreme natural conditions. In Deuteronomy, Israel is warned that God's displeasure at their sins could be expressed in extreme heat waves. That's the thing I worry about... I hate that I'm worried about that on 4th of July weekend when we're all supposed to be celebrating our freedoms, including the First Amendment, the right to free speech and the free press." Acosta was referring to Trump tweeting a video where he did a pro-wrestling throw down of a man with a CNN logo superimposed on his face, "this is just not the kind of information you expect to come from the president of the United States." The narrative in the leftist news media, as fueled by the Democrats, is that Trump is mentally unfit for office. Liberal commentator Keith Olbermann said that the Cabinet should invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Trump from office. MSNBC's Dr. Joe Scarborough said Trump's mental state is in decline. Scarborough's lover, Dr. Mika Brzesinski, whose father was Zbigniew Brzesinski, Jimmy Carter's National Security Advisor, said Trump has "literally devolved." These are hardly unbiased sources. Leftist Congressman Jamie Raskin (D-MD) introduced a bill to form a "bipartisan commission" to declare Trump mentally unfit and invoke the 25th Amendment, which allows the Vice President to declare a president unfit. A couple of points here: 1) The Democratic Party and the news media are working on the mentally unfit narrative; 2) These so-called "journalists" can gin up hatred and violence through their tone and false reporting, but when they are called out, they start crying foul. The combined effect of the Democratic Party, its celebrity minions and the news media drove a man to make a list and try to assassinate conservative members of Congress. While many might disagree with how the President is pushing back, he is exposing the insidious, undermining, hypocritical and dishonest actions of the media. Their tabloid journalism becomes sissy journalism, and they become filled with fear. Proverbs 29:25 says, "The fear of man brings a snare: but whoso puts his trust in the Lord shall be safe." Isn't that wonderful to know? If you have lost a loved one who was a believer, you will see him or her again. That is a great comfort for anyone who has ever lost someone they cherished in life. One moment you could be going about your life on earth, and the next moment you could be hurtled into the presence of Jesus Christ Himself and your departed loved ones. In the second chapter of 1 Thessalonians, the apostle Paul reveals that we not only will be reunited with our Christian loved ones and friends, but we also will be reunited with the people who trusted in Jesus through our witness. He wrote, "For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?" (1 Thessalonians 2:19). From this it would appear that each of us would have grouped around us in Heaven those whom we helped to believe in Jesus. Understand, God gives the increase in evangelism (see 1 Corinthians 3:7). By His grace, He allows us to participate in the wonderful process of seeing people come to faith. And when we get to Heaven, we'll be able to see what kind of impact our lives have had.
