Rapture: All, Few or None; Don't We Know Yet? - By Jack Bolek - http://www.raptureready.com/2018/07/15/rapture-none-dont-know-yet-jack-bolek/
Considering the controversies over the number of Christians taken in the Rapture or whether the Rapture is a real event, you need to have a deeper understanding of one key aspect that I have not yet heard spoken of but one that needs to be recognized. Allow me to explain this. When I hear people, especially pastors, saying some, many or most Christians will be left behind, it makes me cringe. The Bible is clear: the quantity is stated by the word all; you either believe it or you don't. Since the Bible says that all Christians will be taken in the Rapture, why do we still question it? Matthew 25:10-12 "And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not." Where is the word all? Only half were taken. Yes, I see that; however, it is further explained here: 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 "Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality." This is where we start to see the divisions taking place, and with some understandable reasons; but it is not a question of how many Christians are taken or if it's real. It goes even deeper. Kindly keep in mind the difference between those claiming to be Christians vs. a true Christian who has given his / her life earnestly to The Lord. 2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." In here we are told to handle scriptures alongside other scriptures and to do so in truth. Okay, let's do just that; let's use some scriptures side by side and see what we come up with. The 5 virgins who were not taken did not have oil (Holy Spirit-filled lives); they were not committed with their hearts but still claimed to be Christians. They may have even acted it out, but they didn't believe it and did not have a personal relationship with God. If God says "I know you not" you had better believe they did not know the Lord as Savior and didn't consider the Bible to be God's Word. From some of earliest recorded interactions between man and God where God Himself provided the animal skin coverings for Adam and Eve - Gen 3:21 "Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them" into Matthew 9:13 "But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance" - we see a case building for how God operates with His motives and reasoning behind those actions. Noah built the Ark; however, it was God that shut him in (closed the door). See Gen. 7:16. In one instance after another, God wants our participation; but it's God alone that finalizes the deal. Our level of participation is required, but completing the act is always God's doing. Some actions are simply beyond us, and God makes us aware of that too, but wants us to know we need to lean on Him for reliance and finalizing whatever it is that's being done. We work in cooperation with God, not ahead of Him; and we don't close the deal either. He does. The same applies to both the issues of salvation and the rapture; we're participants but it is enacted by God. It's God's nature to urge our hand into action, but that's all. We act to the level which we have been instructed to, and the rest of it all depends on God for completion. I keep hearing the church will not be taken in a rapture event because we don't deserve it - that because we're sinners we must go through the tribulation. Those Christians pass this self-inflicted punishment over us being sinners as if God didn't know what we would be doing from the start; they're saying we are condemned because we haven't lived up to some type of standard that someone believes we need to meet. I have to wonder at what point would the people that condemn the church say, Okay that's a good act now; you'll be allowed in and taken in the rapture. Is there some level of "good" they know about that maybe God isn't aware of? It was God's word that said in Isaiah 64:6 "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." Time after time, event after event we have seen that it is God who finalizes whatever is happening and not us. We do not possess the ability to be good or good enough; we fail each time and every time. The dividing line is, did we really believe? Did we really have His Spirit within us? Two of the main scriptures used to validate being "good enough" to be taken in the rapture are perhaps found in Luke 21:36 "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." And Matthew 25:1-12 "Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. "But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not." The reality of those scriptures and their implications are enough to scare me into believing I need to do something to be seen as being worthy by The Lord, but what? Knowing our righteousness is filthy rags and we fail each and every time no matter what we try, what could we do to be considered worthy? Nothing, not one single thing or act can make us worthy. The only act we can do which is acceptable before a perfect God is the accepting of His Son and His gift of salvation which is becoming born again of the spirit. And again, this is not something we do; it is God doing it. We simply accept it and believe by being open to our level of participation and doing whatever it is God requires of us. That is where and when we act by being obedient. 1 Samuel 15:22 "And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams." The five virgins who were not allowed in after the door was shut were false Christians. They had never given their lives over to The Lord. That is why The Lord answered "Verily I say unto you, I know you not." He did not know them; they were not Christians but knew some scriptures, enough where they had head knowledge but not true salvation. It could even be that they pursued their own works with their own will being lived out and not what The Lord required from them. Ephesians 2:8-10: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Those people who are judging the church have been using a certain amount of non-Christian judgmental bias by including those unsaved individuals as being part of the Bride. That is a mistake. It is the Church which shall be taken, all of them; every single Christian will be taken exactly as Paul said would be "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall "all" be changed. Those that never truly accepted Christ for salvation - those will be left behind to face the tribulation. I suppose that group will also be used during the tribulation period to educate the others, the hard core non-believers which were atheists and God haters prior to the rapture. They will need someone to fill in the blanks, and that group will at least have some head knowledge. 1 Corinthians 15:50-52 "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." There is Rapture, and it includes every Christian that ever lived. It is God's personality, His nature to save His people. After all, this is why He came here to start with. I hope this clears things up for those who still condemn the church and deny the fullness and meaning in these scriptures. The next question is when is it? That one I will not touch, not in the least... but it is soon. How the World Really Views Israel - by Shoshana Bryen - https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/12717/israel-iroquois Israel and the Iroquois Nation came together this week -- In Israel -- at the Lacrosse World Championship. The Iroquois Nation team was subjected to enormous pressure to boycott, but they steadfastly refused to be swayed. The Iroquois, who invented Lacrosse in about 1100 CE, know a thing or two about indigenous peoples reclaiming their land. And they know a thing or two about Israel. Bravo to them. There are those who insist that Israel is "isolated," that it lacks friends and allies. Israel's place in the larger world, however -- except, perhaps, in the halls of the UN -- is expanding, not only with the Iroquois Nation, but with the nations of the world that want to know what Israel knows and have what Israel has, whether they have formal diplomatic relations with Jerusalem or not. Israel's expansive sharing of water, solar and agricultural technology is legendary, as is Israel's emergency rapid response team. But military cooperation underpins freedom of navigation in the air and on the seas - the source of international prosperity through trade - and secures people in their borders. Security makes everything else possible, and Israel is in the center of the universe of security cooperation.
The Iroquois Nation, as another indigenous people, is a friend of the heart. In the larger picture, however, Israel is an integral part of the world's security system across the continents, from Europe to Asia to North America. In the Pacific Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, it has partnered with countries alphabetized from Australia to Vietnam in exercises on land, at sea or in the air. Not a single country pulled out of a single exercise because of the presence of the Israel Defense Forces. Not one. Nearing Midnight: Why all the Hysteria Over the Recent Supreme Court Nominee - Todd Strandberg - http://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ The people on the political left have lost their minds over the process to replace retiring United States Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy. Even before Trump had a chance to select Brett Kavanaugh as the prime candidate, Democrats were saying Trump was making the worst possible choice. The conservative Campus Reform made fools out of people at New York University by asking people on campus what they thought of Trump's decision three days before the announcement. Most generally described the decision as a racist move that would start something very negative. Trump was abusing his power by making a choice clearly granted to him by the Constitution. The liberal media were predicting all manner of apocalyptic fallout from the new Justice. One MSNBC reporter claimed this nomination is going to "mean the end of the constitution." Another guest of the network said it will "spell the criminalization of women." The new Supreme Court pick is very "controversial," whoever he or she turned out to be. That was the consensus of ABC's Nightline Twitter page, about 90 minutes before Donald Trump announced the name of Judge Brett Kavanaugh. After the announcement of his nomination to the Supreme Court, Judge Brett Kavanaugh made it clear that his job was to use the Constitution as his primary guidepost. He stated, "A judge must be independent and must interpret the law, not make the law. A judge must interpret statutes as written, and a judge must interpret the Constitution as written, informed by history and tradition and precedent." He later added, "My judicial philosophy is straightforward. A judge must be independent and must interpret the law, not make the law. A judge must interpret statutes as written, and a judge must interpret the Constitution as written, informed by history and tradition and precedent. For the past 11 years, I've taught hundreds of students, primarily at Harvard Law School. I teach that the Constitution's separation of powers protects individual liberty." Kavanaugh concluded, "I will tell each senator that I revere the Constitution. I believe that an independent judiciary is the crown jewel of our constitutional republic. If confirmed by the Senate, I will keep an open mind in every case, and I will always strive to preserve the Constitution of the United States and the American rule of law." The left is going to fight his nomination tooth and nail because it believes a set of leftist beliefs need to be pre-programmed in the interpretation of the Constitution. Gay rights and abortion are claimed to be protected by the document, even though these issues appear nowhere in the text. For 100 years the Supreme Court ruled that slavery was legal. The right of one man to hold another man as his property was upheld by several rulings. This popularity test of the Supreme Court has been a major shortfall of the third branch of government. If you get enough racists on the court, blacks can once again be ruled as the property of slaveholders. All it would take is the ruling of one single justice to override the lessons of the Civil War. The framers of the Constitution would be absolutely shocked to see how powerful the Supreme Court has become in our day. In 1790, there was one Supreme Court judge for every 600,000 Americans. Today, there is one Supreme Court judge for every 35 million Americans. Not even the Soviet Politburo managed that level of non-representation. The Supreme Court has been a very useful tool in implementing the leftist agenda. The Gay marriage act became the rule of the law because of a single vote in the Supreme Court. In the house, you need to get a majority vote in both houses to pass a law that says two people of the same sex can get married. By going to the Supreme Court, a minority group can make any political fad a reality. The Democratic Party has already proven that it is fixated on fantasies of tyrannical rule by openly talking about impeaching President Trump without any charges. At least one congressman wants to extend that option to the Supreme Court. Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison said that a Democratic Congress could impeach a Republican-appointed Supreme Court justice. I'm sure Ellison is for impeaching Republican members of Congress. I don't think the addition of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court will make any difference. Whenever conservatives have an upper hand in the court, they always respect previous liberal rulings. Whenever there is a liberal majority, they always expand the power of the court. The next time Democrats have a majority in the Senate, I expect them to approve judges that will rob us of our liberties. It is my prayer that God will keep them frustrated right up to the day of the rapture. "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way" (2 Thessalonians 2:7). Can The US & Israel Trust Putin On Iran & Syria? - By Sean Savage - http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=2407 U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin just concluded a bilateral summit in Helsinki, Finland, that proved to be one of the most widely anticipated meetings in years--or, at least, since the meeting with North Korea. While the discussions centered on relations with Europe and the United States, a topic that also took high priority was the ongoing civil war in Syria. Over the last month, the Syrian regime--backed by Russian, Iran, Hezbollah and Shi'a militias--has launched a massive operation in its south to defeat one of the remaining rebel strongholds in the country. Not only has the operation, spurred on by Syrian President Bashar Assad, led to a massive humanitarian disaster, but it has brought Iran and its terror proxies even closer to the Israeli border. The issue of Iran's presence has been a growing concern for Israel and the United States. Israel has raised alarms over Iran and its Shi'ite terror proxies establishing a permanent presence in post-war Syria, especially along the demilitarized Israeli-Syrian border. Since the beginning of the year, Israeli and Iranian forces have come close to a full-scale conflict over Iranian provocations along the Israeli-Syrian border and even into Israeli territory itself. In February, an Iranian drone was shot down by Israel after it crossed into Israeli airspace. This led to retaliatory Israeli airstrikes inside of Syria that saw an Israeli F-16 shot down. Tensions again threatened to boil over in May, when Israel carried out its largest airstrikes in Syria in decades against Iranian infrastructure in the country. Since then, the Israeli Air Force has continued smaller-scale airstrikes in Syria in response to Syrian or Iranian provocations, as well as targeted Iranian efforts to transfer weapons into Syria to bolster pro-Iranian militias and Hezbollah. But Tehran has dismissed any suggestion that it will leave. "We came [to Syria] not at the invitation of the United States, and we will not leave because of its threats," Ali Akbar Velayati, a close adviser to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said at the Valdai Discussion Club last week while visiting Moscow. At the same time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has met with Putin three times in the last six months to press him on the issue. Last week at a meeting in Moscow, Netanyahu firmly told Putin that "Iran needs to leave Syria." Then on Saturday, Netanyahu spoke with Trump by phone, saying the topics discussed were "Syria and Iran, first and foremost." Following the Putin-Trump meeting, Netanyahu issued a statement saying that he "commends" the commitment by President Trump for Israel's security during the summit. He also said he "appreciates the security coordination" between Israel and Russia and the "clear position expressed by President Putin regarding the need to uphold the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement between Israel and Syria." U.S. says for time being, it's staying put in Syria Nevertheless, while both Israeli and American leaders seem to be focused on discussing with Putin Iran's presence in Syria, it remains unclear the extent that Putin is able or even willing to force Iran out of the country. Anna Borshchevskaya, an expert of Russia's policy towards the Middle East at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, told JNS that Putin does not have the leverage or desire to force Iran out. "I don't think he [Putin] can get Iran out. Even if Putin wanted to do this, which is doubtful at the very least, Putin doesn't really have any leverage over Iran to do this. Putin wants to appear as a peacemaker, a mediator; he would like to be elevated to this role. And then he will play all sides, to elevate himself," she said. According to Borshchevskaya, true peace and stability in Syria would undermine Putin's ability to stay as the chief mediator; therefore, any Russian promises have to be met with skepticism. "We already saw what appeared, at the very least, [to be] a superficial withdrawal from southern Syria, she said. "If anything, it appeared to be a deception because these people appeared to just switch into Syrian uniforms." And, she added, "Lavrov already said it's impossible to get Iran to completely withdraw from Syria." Reports in recent weeks have continually suggested that Russia has been working to remove Iranian from along the Israeli-Syrian border and to create a buffer zone. But Israel is still demanding a full withdrawal. Vice Admiral John Bird, USN (ret.), who currently serves on JINSA's Gemunder Center Iran Task Force, told JNS that Putin is concerned with anything that can jeopardize his country's strategic position in Syria. "Assad is reconquering the country, the world has seen Russia stand by its ally and bolster its prestige, and Russia also has secured permanent naval/air bases--all at relatively little cost to itself. Iran's entrenchment in Syria could risk everything Putin has gained," he said. "However, if Iran and Israel get into a full-blown war that potentially threatens the Assad regime and/or forces Russia to get involved," then this could jeopardize that situation, he said. For its part, the United States has limited leverage in Syria. The American involvement in Syria has mainly been focused on the eastern half of the country, where the Islamic State terror group established the capital of its so-called caliphate in the Syrian city of Raqaa. While a U.S.-led coalition have largely dismantled this caliphate in Syria and Iraq, the Islamic State threat still remains. Nevertheless, National Security Advisor John Bolton said in recent days that the United States will remain in Syria as long as the threat from the Islamic State and Iran continue. "I think the president's made it clear that we are there until the ISIS territorial caliphate is removed, and as long as the Iranian menace continues throughout the Middle East," Bolton told ABC News. In the past, Trump has suggested pulling all U.S. forces out of Syria, which has led to some concern among observers that it would lead the United States to have even less sway over Middle East regional developments. Bird said that Trump needs to "develop a position of strength" in order to properly negotiate with Putin on Syria. "Putin likely would love to continue being the irreplaceable diplomat that arbitrates between Israel and Iran, but Trump must convey to Putin that all of this could be lost if Israel has to go to war to prevent Iranian entrenchment in Syria." Similarly, Borshchevskaya said that instead of reaching a deal on Syria, Trump should make it clear to Putin that America is not leaving Syria. "Trump should assure Putin that the U.S. is not leaving Syria, and that the U.S. will push back against Iran militarily on the region," she said. "What Putin wants is to see America retreat; it is a strong American presence that will deter Putin and Iran as well." Daily Jot: Truth and Russia - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com The Mueller investigation of Russian meddling in the US Presidential election is really nothing more than trying to bring down a presidency that, by and large to date, has been successful. People have jobs-unemployment is at the lowest rate in decades. The economic indicators are strong. American foreign policy is no longer supporting Islamic terrorism, is cracking down on unfair trade practices, is making other countries pay their way. Domestic policy has reduced regulation, improved the tax structure, and repealed much of the socialist health care mess. Yet, the loud cry of the regressive left continues to be amplified by a deceitful media that the President should be impeached because of Russian influence. Mueller is trying to prove that President Donald Trump and Russia colluded on beating Hillary Clinton and that Russia meddled in the US presidential election. To date, the Mueller team has handed down 12 indictments related to Russian meddling-that Russian actors hacked the emails of the Democratic National Committee, Hillary Clinton, and Clinton's campaign manager John Podesta. The media acts as if this proves that Trump and Russia were conspiring. Let us remember the scurrilous details of those emails revealing the dastardly deeds of the Democrats and the Clintons. Also that these people, who were vying for the highest job in the land, were unable or didn't care enough, to protect their sensitive data. What would they do with sensitive government data-maybe keep it on an unsecure server in a closet? In March 2017, the Daily Jot reported that when Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State she completed a deal where nuclear grade uranium was sent to Russia scoring $145 million to the Clinton Foundation, Bill Clinton received $500,000 for a speech in Moscow, Podesta did a $35 million energy deal with Russia, and the Clinton Foundation received $2.35 million in donations from Ian Telfer, head of Russia's uranium company. In October 2017, the FBI released information indicating both the Clinton's and the immediate past "president" were involved in what appears to be a bribery/kickback scheme with Russian officials in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Russian influence in the election? Russia has been playing dirty tricks during US elections for decades, but maybe not to the extent that the immediate past "president" used tax dollars attempting to defeat Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. When it comes to accusing people of doing exactly what the accuser is doing or has been doing, the regressive left is the master. Trump acquitted himself very well in the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, yet the media is calling Trump a traitor. We must discern the truth and speak it to others. Think about what Jesus said in John 5:23-"He that honors not the Son honors not the Father which has sent him." Truth is in Christ. Those who deny Christ, deny truth. Where do those in the regressive left stand on Christ-not in just words, but in deeds? Daily Devotion: Winning against Temptation - By Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org I do so with Christ's authority for your benefit, so that Satan will not outsmart us. For we are familiar with his evil schemes. -2 Corinthians 2:10-11 Have you ever been simply humming along as a Christian, doing well, when all of a sudden you're barraged with an onslaught of spiritual attacks? You find yourself facing everything from trials to doubts to heavy-duty temptations. You wonder what's happening, and you'd like all of it to just stop. You'd like to find a little foxhole to crawl into. It's called spiritual warfare, and you're in the heat of the battle. As Christians, we need to understand that we will move either forward or backward in the spiritual battle. If we are true followers of Jesus Christ, then we will face spiritual warfare. We have an enemy, the devil, who moves in relatively predictable patterns. It may surprise you to know that Satan uses the same tactics year after year, decade after decade, generation after generation, century after century. He doesn't really change up what he does. Victor Hugo, the author of Les Miserables, said, "A good general must penetrate the brain of his enemy." Our enemy is the devil, and the Bible says that we need to know about his strategies and deceits. We need to know what he is thinking and what he is up to. The devil is so cunning because first he fires an arrow at us, and then he condemns us for being hit. It isn't a sin to be tempted. The sin of temptation is not in the bait; it is in the bite. If you refuse the temptation, you have successfully passed the test. As one person said, "I can't stop a bird from flying over my head, but I can stop it from building a nest in my hair." We need to reject temptation. We can't stop it from coming into our minds, but we don't have to invite it in. FROM THE HEART
