The Most Terrifying Words You Could Ever Hear - By Mike Gendron - http://www.raptureready.com/2018/08/03/terrifying-words-ever-hear-mike-gendron/
The most terrifying words a professing Christian could ever hear would be Jesus saying, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness" (Matt. 7:21-23). The Lord Jesus will declare those horrifying words to many, not a few, who will boast in the many works they did in His Name. They called Him Lord but did not obey His first command to "Repent and believe the Gospel" (Mark 1:15). Who are the "many" who will be turned away on Judgment Day? They are those who thought they could merit eternal life by the works they were doing instead of trusting in the work Christ had done. They also never turned from their sin to follow Jesus Christ in faith. Since they never obeyed the Gospel of Christ, they will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord (2 Thess. 1:9). Tragically, when Jesus declares to them, "Depart from Me," there will be no second chance, no excuses, and no blaming the false teachers who deceived them. The Lord Jesus also referred to the "many" when He spoke of the two paths to eternity. Many will travel the broad road to destruction instead of the narrow road to eternal life (Matt. 7:13-14). Rather than striving to enter the narrow gate by testing every man's teaching, they foolishly follow false teachers, who are wolves disguised in sheep's clothing (Luke 13:24; Matt. 7:15). It is a sobering thought to realize that 83% of Americans profess faith in Christ, but only a few of them show evidence of being born again as new creatures in Christ. According to the research, many of them cannot even communicate the Gospel that has the power to save souls. Part of the blame must be placed on man-centered methods of evangelism such as making a decision to "accept" Christ, or repeating a sinner's prayer, or asking Jesus into your heart, or coming forward for salvation. None of these methods are found in the Bible. The only saving response to the Gospel of Grace is to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (Mark 1:15; Acts 16:31). Part of the blame can also be placed on those who compromise the Gospel to make it more inclusive and less offensive (Gal. 1:6-10). With so many false converts, the church has become a mission field. Many professors of Christ are not really possessors of Christ! They are strangers to the new birth. They have never passed from death unto life. They remain condemned because they have not been justified. They remain enemies of God even though they profess to be His friends! They remain enslaved to sin because they have never been set free. They profess the Savior with their lips, but their hearts are far from Him. They deceive other people with their external righteousness, but they cannot deceive God! They are unaware of their pending peril, because they have never examined themselves to see if their faith is genuine (2 Cor. 13:5). The best way we can prove our faith is genuine is to examine it through the lens of Scripture. The apostle John wrote his first epistle so that those who believe in the Lord Jesus may know that they have eternal life (1 John 5:13). We also see many characteristics of false converts in God's Word. Some of them are listed below:
Please know the assurance that we are truly saved is not based on a past decision but on a present reality. So what if we are unsure about our faith and our salvation? We find the answer in God's Word:
What should we do if we know someone who may be a false convert? Ask them to share the events surrounding their conversion. If their conversion testimony does not line up with Scripture, ask them more questions. Speak the truth in love. Give them our Gospel tract True Faith or False Hope - How Can I Be Sure? to encourage them. Give them a link to the message I preached by the same title, that can be heard here. Let them know eternity is forever! We can be wrong about a lot of things in this life and still survive, but if we are wrong about our faith, we will pay for that mistake forever and ever. What a Glorious Savior We Have to Proclaim The Son of God became the Son of Man because He had the law to fulfill, darkness to dispel, truth to disclose, error to expose, prophecy to accomplish, justice to satisfy, sin to remove, righteousness to impute, sinners to save, people to sanctify, redemption to purchase, a church to build, a bride to purify, freedom to grant, heaven to open, life to give, death to destroy, Satan to conquer and God to reveal! How could anyone trust another Jesus? Terrifying Fires - Temporal and Eternal Images of the raging fires that are scorching the earth in America are absolutely alarming. Thousands of people are fleeing to safety because they sense the imminent danger. As heartbreaking as it is to see these devastating fires, how much more disheartening is it to see people dismiss the reality of the terrifying fire that awaits people who die without Christ. Those who die in their sins will go immediately to a place of torments where they consciously experience pain and thirst from a blazing fire that will never be extinguished. The horror and hopelessness is so great they will want to warn their loved ones on earth. The eternal state of punishment for their sins is irreversible; there is no second chance and no escape. "Knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men" (2 Cor. 5:11). Let us plead with them to flee to the loving and merciful arms of Jesus Christ who is their only hope of escape (Luke 16:19-31; Acts 4:12). Let us do all we can to rescue our loved ones from God's wrath. The True Gospel vs. the Fatal Gospel of Rome There is only one Gospel that has the divine power to save souls. Therefore, if there is the slightest deviation, distortion or perversion, it is no longer the gospel (Gal. 1:6-9). Anyone who distorts the gospel is accursed. It does not matter who you are: a pope, a bishop, a priest, or a pastor. It does not matter how many works you have done in the name of Christ, or how diligently you have served, or how sacrificially you have given, or how fervently you have prayed. If you preach a false gospel, you are accursed. Only the pure Gospel of grace is good news; in fact, it is the greatest news anyone will ever hear. The false gospel of the Roman Catholic Church does not offer any good news, only a false hope. This was the message Mike recently presented at the IFCA National Conference in South Bend, IN. The Judgments and the Crowns - Jack Kinsella - www.omegaletter.com Judgment is a central theme throughout Scripture; the Old Testament is filled with accounts of judgment. The judgment on Adam and Eve, the Flood judgment, the judgment against the Unfaithful Generation during the Exodus, Sodom and Gomorrah, the various judgments against Israel, the Ultimate Judgment at Calvary, just to name a few. Some in this generation will face the 21 judgments outlined in the Book of Revelation during the Tribulation Period. The writer of Hebrews tells us, ". . .it is appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judgment." (Hebrews 9:27) There are five individual judgments identified in Scripture, that differ in five general aspects; the subjects, the time, the place, the basis and the result. There are two judgments for believers. The subjects of the first judgment are sinners. The time of this judgment was roughly AD 33. The place was Calvary. The basis for the judgment was the finished Work of Christ. And the result was justification for the believer. This first judgment is in three parts; as a sinner, as a son, and as a servant. The 'sin' question is settled at the Cross. The 'son' question is an ongoing series of personal judgments that the Bible calls 'chastisement'. When a believer steps outside God's permissive will, it brings about judgments designed to bring that believer back into line. "If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons." (Hebrews 12:7-8) Then there is our judgment as servants, which leads us to the Judgment Seat of Christ, or the Bema Seat. The subjects are believers. The time is after the Rapture. The place is the Bema Seat. The basis for judgment is works. The result is reward -- or loss of reward. "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." (2nd Corinthians 5:10) Those who stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ are not there to be judged worthy of entry into heaven. That question was settled at the Cross. This judgment will be for our works as servants. At the Bema Seat; "Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is." (1st Corinthians 3:13) Think about that for a moment! Everything you ever did will be analyzed and scrutinized openly by the Lord Jesus Christ. Every good thing. . . and every bad thing. We'll be called on to give account of every word, every deed, every thought. For most believers, the Judgment Seat of Christ will be an excruciating experience. "Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men . . ." Paul wrote. But, the result of the Bema Seat judgment isn't to determine if you will enter heaven -- that is already assured. The result is reward. That is where a believer's works come into play. Rewards. Or loss of them. "If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire." (1st Corinthians 3:14-15) There are five possible rewards, or "crowns" that believers can earn for their works at the Bema Seat. The Crown of Life. This is the Martyr's Crown. You get this one the hard way; "be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." (Revelation 2:10) The Crown of Glory. This the the 'Pastor's Crown' given by the Chief Shepherd when He shall appear to those who serve; "Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock." (1st Peter 5:2-3) I readily admit that I am working to earn this crown. Salvation is a gift of grace through faith, and that not of yourselves -- crowns you have to work for. "And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away." (1st Peter 5:4) The Crown of Rejoicing. This is the Soul-winners crown. Those brought to Jesus by us will be our "crown of rejoicing" at His Coming. "For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?" (1st Thessalonians 2:19) The Crown of Righteousness. This is the crown earned by the Watchmen on the Wall who give the warning of His soon appearing. "Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing." (2nd Timothy 4:8) The Incorruptible Crown. This is a tough one to earn. This is the "Victor's" Crown, which is set aside for those who master temperance in this lifetime. Those who don't yield to the lusts of the flesh, saturate themselves with alcohol and drugs, and keep themselves separate from the world can expect to be rewarded with the Incorruptible Crown. The Judgment Seat of Christ takes place concurrently with the Third Judgment identified by Scripture taking place on earth. In this third judgment, the primary subjects are the Jews. The place is Jerusalem. The time is called the 'Time of Jacob's Trouble' or, the Tribulation Period. "Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it." (Jeremiah 30:7) The basis for this judgment is Israel's continued rejection of the Messiah, and the end result is the national redemption of Israel. The fourth judgment identified in Scripture also takes place during the Tribulation. The subjects are the Gentile nations. The place is the Valley of Jehoshaphat. The basis for this judgment will be their treatment of the Jews. "And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth His sheep from the goats." (Matthew 25:32) The nations will be divided into the "Sheep nations" and the "Goat nations". The result is the Sheep nations will be permitted to enter into the Millennial Kingdom. The "Goat nations" will be destroyed. This judgment takes place at the conclusion of the Tribulation Period. The fifth and final judgment identified in Scripture is the Great White Throne Judgment. It will take place at the close of the Millennium a 1000 years after the judgment of the Nations, and before the "Great White Throne." All the righteous (saved) dead arose at the First Resurrection, or the Rapture. Those who are saved and die between the First Resurrection and the Second Resurrection, (like the Tribulation and Millennial Kingdom saints), must rise with the wicked at the Second Resurrection. The words; "Whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life" imply there will be some saved who will be present at the Great White Throne. So possibly there will be some whose names will be found in the Book of Life, but they are post-Church Age believers. I want you to notice something. This entire outline only works if the Rapture takes place beforethe Tribulation. If the Church is on the earth during the Tribulation Period, the entire outline falls apart. BUT -- and this is the important part -- this is the only outline there is! There is only one Bible from which to work, and it doesn't give an alternative scenario. It is the key to understanding the outline of Bible prophecy as it unfolds before this generation. The Bible identifies five judgments and five crowns. The judgments are as I've outlined them, by those who are subject to them, when, where, why, and how. I've supplied chapter and verse. Go back and review it all. It's the only outline there is. And for it to work, the Church must be Raptured before the Tribulation begins. If not, we have the Church on the earth during the judgment of Israel, and not in the air for the Believer's Judgment, and, in some views, on the earth during the division of the Sheep and Goat nations. Jesus sets up His Millennial Kingdom at the close of the Tribulation Period. Before that comes four of the five judgments, all of which He presides over as the Righteous Judge. When the judgments of the Tribulation are over, all that remain are the sheep nations and the Jews. Who is there left to Rapture? The Rapture is the First Resurrection that predicates the Judgment Seat of Christ. As the Church is judged at the Bema Seat, the twenty-one Tribulation judgments are executed on the world. They are different judgments, as to subject, basis, place and result, but within the same general frame of time called the Day of the Lord or the Day of Christ. It is all interconnected -- and indivisible from the Big Picture. The outline of Bible prophecy is deep and complex, and each part is interdependent on all the others in order to complete the Big Picture. It isn't about being right. It's about understanding the times in which we live, so that we can fulfill the commission given us. ". . .sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear." (1st Peter 3:15) News from Hal Lindsey Media Ministries - Hal Lindsey - www.hallindsey.com It's been a hard, hot summer in Israel and the Gaza Strip. The "March of Return" has rumbled on for more than 20 weeks. During that time, 160 Palestinians have been killed in clashes with Israeli forces at the Gaza/Israel border. Israel has taken a beating from the world press for its defense of its border. But most of those media outlets don't tell the full story. One day last week, more than 9,000 Palestinian rioters stormed the Israeli border. They carried Molotov cocktails and other explosives. Grenades were hurled at Israeli soldiers. Hamas operatives fly kites and balloons into Israel. They carry payloads of firebombs. Gazans have used such devices to cause hundreds of fires since the "March of Return" began. These fires have burned more than 7,000 acres. Last week alone, Hamas fired over 200 rockets, missiles, and mortar rounds at Israeli civilians. Some of those missiles struck near playgrounds filled with Israeli children. Hamas snipers have killed and injured Israeli soldiers. The mainstream media also downplays the fact that most of the Palestinians killed by the IDF are Hamas soldiers or members of other Palestinian militias. There have been about a dozen Palestinian children killed in these clashes, but the media never demands to know why the Palestinians are deliberately bringing their small children into live firefights. The answer is simple. Hamas has always hidden themselves, their arsenals, and their rocket launchers among civilians, especially children. That way, when the Israelis respond to attacks, civilians and children are certain to be collateral damage. It makes for effective propaganda, especially when the complicit mainstream media swallows it hook, line, and sinker. But Israel is a miracle nation. God promised that in the last days of this age, He will bring His people back into their own land. And though those days will be difficult, in the end He will personally defend them and they will never be dispersed again. So those who fight against this miracle nation are fighting a losing battle. The Book of Revelation speaks of a massive revival among Jews after the Rapture. And Romans 11:26 promises that, "All Israel will be saved." The media insists that we are in the throes of a massive trade war. The numbers say otherwise, but when has that mattered to the mainstream media in the last few years? The truth is, after years of grossly unfair trade agreements with other nations, the United States has begun to fight back. President Trump has surprised the world by placing tariffs on nations with whom we have consistent, lopsided trade balances. Though he has received withering criticism, the strategy is bearing fruit. China has responded on a tit-for-tat basis, but has been threatening to retaliate massively. Of course, the media is predicting the economic collapse of the US as a result. However, China appears to be buckling. They announced that they are sending a high-ranking minister and a team of negotiators to Washington this week to resume talks toward a resolution. Likewise, the European Union has suddenly seen the light and a few days ago reached a preliminary agreement with the US to dramatically alter our trading arrangements. This includes buying much of the soybean crop that China is threatening to increase taxes on! That got China's attention. President Trump points out that this is not just a matter of economics, but national security. Take steel, for instance. The US steel industry once led the world. But it couldn't compete when other nations subsidized their steel industries and dumped steel into the US at prices lower than market value. Meanwhile, many of those nations placed huge tariffs on steel imported from the United States. The US steel industry began to die, with the loss of hundreds of thousands of jobs. But steel is essential to national security. A nation that imports most of its steel -- like most of its energy -- puts itself at risk. It places its national security in the hands of foreign powers. Likewise, the United States has begun to more effectively use its sanctioning power to influence the behavior of belligerent nations like Turkey, Russia, Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Libya, and North Korea. We don't know yet how all of this will play out. The world isn't accustomed to the United States standing up for itself and demanding a fair deal. But the Bible tells us that in the last days the world will experience great economic upheaval. This has been the case for several years now. The world has teetered on the edge of economic disaster. Nations are desperately trying all kinds of emergency measures like zero or even negative interest rates to keep their economies afloat. And what used to be "emergency measures" are now normal. The Bible gives us a good picture of how the world's economy will function in the last days. At times, things will go well. At other times, they will go well for the rich, but not for everyone else. And then there will be a point when it all falls apart for everyone. The scare will bring the Antichrist to power. We know this because Revelation 13 describes the world turning its entire economic system over to the Antichrist and the False Prophet. It's getting easier and easier to see how everything could fall apart and fall apart quickly. The fact that the world is so close to economic collapse means that it is being set up for these things to happen very soon. I speak often on this program about the dramatic rise of Christian persecution around the world. One of the most pronounced examples of this is China. Even members of the mainstream media are finally beginning to report on it. But attacks on Christianity are not limited to China and the Middle East. The New York Times is fully capable of anti-Christian bigotry, too. (I know that doesn't surprise you.) Recently, Frank Bruni, one of the Times' editorial writers warned that the best case against impeaching President Trump "is the much greater danger of Pence." Bruni is implying that Vice President Mike Pence is "dangerous" because he believes in Jesus and the Bible. But that's not just an attack on the Vice President, it's an attack on millions of Americans who, like Vice President Pence, actually believe the Bible. He paints us as evil and dangerous. Folks, this is the beginning. As I've warned for years, persecution is coming to the western Church. It is already brutally oppressing our brothers and sisters in other parts of the world. The Bible says it will happen. Jesus Himself told us, "A slave is not greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you." (John 15:20 NASB) But don't be afraid or discouraged. In the time of persecution, His Holy Spirit will strengthen us and guide us. And Jesus promised that He will never forsake us. And one more thing. Because we can now clearly see persecution on the horizon, just as the Bible foretold, that means we can also believe everything else the Bible tells us. And it tells us that Jesus is coming soon. Believe it! Get ready! Don't miss this week's Report on TBN, Daystar, CPM Network, various local stations, www.hallindsey.com or www.hischannel.com . Jay had suffered for several years with heart problems, but he never stopped working and he never stopped smiling and being an inspiration to everyone around him. Jay started with TBN as a prayer partner in the very earliest days. He was a dedicated member of the TBN family for almost 45 years. He would sometimes host the flagship program, "Praise the Lord." But he was best known for the popular show he hosted for many years. It was called, "Joy in the Morning!" We will all miss Jay, but I take comfort in the knowledge that his suffering is over and he will be forever in the happy presence of his Lord and Savior. Jay has found the real "Joy in the Morning!" Goodbye, my friend. Oklahoma Noahide On the Trail of Temple Gold - By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz - https://www.breakingisraelnews.com Within two full years will I bring back into this place all the vessels of Hashem'S house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Bavel took away from this place, and carried them to Bavel. Jeremiah 28:3 (The Israel Bible™) After nearly a decade of writing, the remarkable story of one man's quest to decipher the ancient map leading to the gold and silver Temple vessels is being published. Shelley Neese, vice president of the Jerusalem Connection, became involved in the story over a decade ago and has spent nearly eight years writing the The Copper Scroll Project, the story of an unlikely hero who may have unraveled one of history's most enduring mysteries. In 2007, Neese was the editor for Jerusalem Connection Magazine and she met Barfield at a Christian conference in Texas. "I was unfamiliar with the Copper Scrolls, and at first I didn't believe his story about treasure maps, gold, and the Jewish Temple," Neese, told Breaking Israel News. "All the alarm bells in my head went off. But after I looked it up, I realized that he hadn't embellished it at all." Discovered in 1952 near Qumran on the shores of the Dead Sea, the Copper Scroll is unlike the other Dead Sea Scrolls which are mostly religious manuscripts written on parchment. The Copper Scroll, as its name suggests, is engraved on a thin sheet of copper. And, in contrast to the others, the Copper Scroll is a list of gold and silver items and the 64 locations where they can be found. Many archaeologists believe the Copper Scroll is an inventory from the Second Temple. In addition to gold and silver, Temple vessels and priestly vestments are listed. No archaeologist has ever succeeded in deciphering the directions contained in the Copper Scroll and finding the treasure. The book follows the efforts of Jim Barfield, a man who, at first glance, seems entirely unsuited to search for the Temple artifacts, but whose unique skills may have solved one of history's most enduring mysteries. Barfield, a Noahide who speaks no Hebrew, also has no background in archaeology. A retired criminal investigator for the Oklahoma Fire Department, Barfield was used to patiently sifting through the ashes to find the truth. In 2006, Barfield was interested in the Dead Sea Scrolls and their relevance to Bible study. At first, he was uninterested in the Copper Scroll which had no theological significance. Barfield's fascination turned into a burning desire after he met Vendyl Jones. Jones, a Texas preacher turned Biblical archaeologist, believed Qumran to be the hiding place for the Temple vessels and spent 30 years searching for them using the Copper Scroll as a guide. Jones discovered a small vial of persimmon oil used to anoint kings and high priests, and a large quantity of what he believed was Temple incense. Barfield met with Jones, now deceased, and Jones suggested he revisit the Copper Scroll. "Vendyl told Jim the Copper Scroll had more prophecy in it than any of the other Dead Sea Scrolls," Neese said. Barfield's curiosity turned into passion and he returned to deciphering the Copper Scroll. He searched maps for the "ruins of the Valley of Achor" mentioned in the scroll. The valley is believed to be near Jericho but the precise location is unknown. As a young man, he had piloted helicopters for the U.S. Army. Using his map-reading skills to triangulate, he was able to pinpoint locations on an aerial map of Qumran. Very quickly, pieces of the puzzle began falling into place. "It's really not revolutionary what he did," Neese said. "He figured it out using available sources in his office in Oklahoma, relying on his skills as an arson investigator." In one case, the scroll described steps, 40 cubits long, heading east. Barfield did indeed find stairs. The archaeologist reported the stairs to be 60 feet, or precisely 40 cubits. He also discovered the remains of a pool, precisely 40 cubits long, exactly where the scroll said it would be. He believed he had found many of the locations listed on the scroll but to verify his theories, he needed to visit the site. In 2007, Barfield travelled to Israel to do exactly that, but to pursue his investigation, he needed the approval of the Israel Antiquities Authority to search Qumran. Barfield met with Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) director Shuka Dorfman. Dorfman was unreceptive at first, but as Barfield laid out his proofs, explaining the signposts described in the Copper Scroll, Dorfman became enthusiastic and arranged a meeting with veteran archaeologist and Qumran expert, Yuval Peleg. Peleg agreed to dig some exploratory holes at the site with Barfield. Less than an hour after beginning shallow test pits, Peleg received a phone call and without any explanation, Peleg shut down the dig. This was the beginning of many bureaucratic stone walls preventing Barfield from verifying his theory. He purchased a sophisticated metal detector that could penetrate 50 feet while differentiating between ferrous and non-ferrous metal, i.e. gold and silver. Barfield applied to the IAA, asking to run a non-intrusive scan of a few spots in Qumran. His request was denied. In 2013, Barfield was in New York where he was introduced to Moshe Feiglin who, at the time, was a Likud Member of Knesset. Feiglin was a strong advocate for the Temple and became enthused when he heard Barfield's story, even offering to accompany him on a tour of the site. A few weeks later, the two were wandering around the tourist site, a large duffel bag in tow. They visited five spots that Barfield felt were most likely repositories for Temple treasure. One hour later, Barfield ran the data from the metal detector through his computer. Every spot was a hit and one locus especially so. "It showed up on the metal detector like Fort Knox," Neese said. The Israeli government is still not permitting Barfield to investigate and there has been a moratorium on archaeological digging at Qumran. "It is in area C and different laws apply to the archaeology than in other parts of Israel," Neese said. "It is disputed territory and anything that comes out of the ground can be disputed. It is possible that the Israeli government is concerned that if they dig up this massive treasure, Jordan or the Palestinian Authority will sue for it. Even if it comes from the Jewish Temple." In fact, the Copper Scroll, an ancient artifact inscribed in Hebrew, is currently in a museum in Amman, Jordan. In an interview with Breaking Israel News last year, Barfield stated his motives. "I am a Noahide," he explained to Breaking Israel News. "I want to return the Temple artifacts to the Jewish People. It's time." If Barfield is successful, it will bring the Third Temple much closer. Not only does Neese chronicle this amazing story but she was an integral player in much of it. A native of Louisiana, she first came to Israel in 2000 with her husband, a U.S. Air Force physician. With no knowledge of Israel, she became intensely curious about the country and received her M.A in Middle Eastern Studies from Ben Gurion University. She spent the months leading up to the Gaza disengagement in 2005 in Israel, working with a team of negotiators. When she went back to the U.S., she became the assistant to the Consul General at the Consulate of Israel to New England. WATCH: https://youtu.be/cm6li8iTmis Daily Jot: Lo the poor journalists - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com Some 350 news outlets did editorials protesting how President Donald Trump has declared a war on them. They are couching it in "defending freedom of the press." All fine and dandy, but Trump has never suggested curbing freedom of the press. It's a non-issue, a genuine non-starter. Being that the Boston Globe organized this so-called protest, and that so many news outlets quickly joined it, demonstrates exactly what Trump has been saying all along-that the mainstream media is biased, runs with fake news, and by not telling the truth, is an enemy of the people. They created an opportunity to bash Trump on the same topic across all of America. This, in of itself, is an example of fake news. Here they are writing and airing "editorials" about how Trump is a tyrant for characterizing the mainstream news media as an enemy to the people. I challenge anyone to tell me, or your family or your neighbors, the difference in what they said Thursday about Trump and what they have been saying all along. They have been running a constant editorial against this man since before he was elected. Over 90% of their stories have been negative toward the President-even those stories about the good things he has accomplished-progress on North Korea, bringing companies back to America, the lowest unemployment rate in decades, the lowest Black unemployment rate in modern history, and the list goes on-they characterize in a negative register. In my quarter, there is no sympathy for the mainstream media. They cannot put aside their political intolerance and ideological bigotry long enough to report the news straightaway. They ignore the plain truth before their very eyes while taking every opportunity to advance their progressive communist global agenda through the words they use. Antifa can go violent, even beating up so-called journalists, but it's OK because their intent is to attack right wing extremists. To these "journalists," right wing extremists are anyone who isn't liberal-especially Christians, gun owners, the non-college educated, and those who want to live in a country with secure borders and is terrorist-free. So lo, the poor journalists. The president doesn't like them. The American people don't trust them. They are like spoiled children who think they should be able to say and do whatever they want without consequence. My advice to them is to have some introspect rather than lash out. They have been traveling down the slippery slope of entertainment and opinions disguised as news for so long, they have lost their way on identifying truth and facts. Oh, they think they are telling the truth, but they are so far from it. They mock God in their untruthful writings and whisperings. They see lies as truth. As Proverbs 14:5 says, "A faithful witness will not lie; but a false witness will utter lies." Lo, the poor journalists. Daily Devotion: More Than We Can Imagine - By Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. -Ephesians 3:20 Years ago, when I was a young man, I fell in love with some girl and thought she was the one I was supposed to marry. I never proposed to her. The bottom line is that she was nice to me but really wanted nothing to do with me. I thought, "She is the one. But why doesn't she know she is the one?" It's because she wasn't the one. Then I met my wife, Cathe, who was the one for me, and we have been married for 44 years. A while back, Cathe and I ran into this girl. I looked at her, and then I looked at my wife, who is very beautiful, and I thought, "Thank you, Lord." I don't say that to be unkind but to simply affirm that God's plans are better than ours. It isn't wrong to pray for the things we need in life. But we need to understand that God's plans for us are better than our plans for ourselves. His plan is better than yours. Psalm 84:11 says, "No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly" (NKJV). If it is good, then God will give it to you. If it is not good, then God won't give it to you. The real focus of prayer should not be on us but on God. It should not be on what we want but on what God wants. Really, ultimate prayer is when we get our wills aligned with God's will and then pray accordingly. There are times when we pray for things fervently and believe they are God's will, but God says no. We are upset. Then later in life we say, "Thank you, Lord, for not giving me what I prayed for." God's will is better than our own. FROM THE HEART

"Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ.
