He made man in His own image, and then made a help-mate for Adam, and he named Woman, since she was taken from his own flesh and bone. We know that according to Scripture that Satan came to Eve in the Garden in the form of a serpent. And after their subsequent betrayal, rebellion and murder (the day they ate thereof they would die), we see that God then pronounces curses on the Serpent, the Woman, the Man, and the ground. In Genesis 3:20, we see that Adam had named her Eve, since she was the mother of all who would eventually come henceforth from the human race. We see that the dominant theme in the cursing process between the three parties had to do with offspring and child birth; To the serpent, enmity would be between his seed and her seed. And a 'Seed' would come which would crush his head, and he would bruise His heel. To the woman, there would be pain and sorrow in childbirth. I imagine that at that particular point, she had not yet ever felt pain, but the very idea of it didn't sound good. And it is at this point, Satan begins actively plotting against the "Seed" of Woman. First, he influences Cain to kill Abel. (Gen. 4:1-15) He then devotes the next 1,600 years or so, attempting to corrupt the genetic blood-line of mankind, by intermingling his fallen angels with human women to the point that only Noah and his family remain untainted. (Gen. 6:1-10) God then wipes out the earth by the Great Flood and preserves only Noah and family to repopulate the earth once the waters subside. Now, consider the math on this. It is estimated that from Adam and Eve until the Floodwas around 1,656 years and the population at the high end reached seven billion, and at the low end, two billion. Now fast-forward to the post-flood world and we already start off with three pairs of couples; Shem and wife, Ham and wife, and Japheth and wife. Needless to say, the world didn't take long to start getting crowded again. It's estimated that the Tower of Babel incident occurred as early as 106 years after the Ark landed on Mount Ararat, and as late as 339 years with Noah being 940 years old. Either way, mankind was growing rapidly and already back in a state of rebellion by not doing what God had instructed them to do, which was to multiply and 'fill the earth' (Gen. 9:1). Instead, they all seemed to congregate in the plains of Shinar under the leadership of a man named Nimrod. But the story only begins with Nimrod; from Harry Ironside on the birth of the Babylonian Religion; Ancient lore now comes to our assistance, and tells us that the wife of Nimrod-bar-Cush was the infamous Semiramis, the First. She is reputed to have been the founder of the Babylonian mysteries and the first high-priestess of idolatry. Thus Babylon became the fountainhead of idolatry, and the mother of every heathen and pagan system in the world. The mystery-religion that was originated there spread in various forms throughout the whole earth, and as we shall see in a few minutes, it is with us today. It is identical with the mystery of iniquity which wrought so energetically in Paul's day, and shall have its fullest development when the Holy Spirit has departed and the Babylon of the apocalypse holds sway. Building on the primeval promise of the woman's Seed who was to come, Semiramis bore a son whom she declared was miraculously conceived, and when she presented him to the people he was hailed as the promised deliverer. This was Tammuz, whose worship Ezekiel protested against in the days of the captivity. Thus was introduced the mystery of the mother and the child, a form of idolatry that is older than any other known to man. The rites of this worship were secret. Only the initiated were permitted to know its mysteries. It was Satan's effort to delude mankind with an imitation so like the truth of God that they would not know the true Seed of the woman when He came in the fullness of time. To this Justin Martyr bears definite witness. From Babylon this mystery-religion spread to all the surrounding nations, as the years went on and the world was populated by the descendants of Noah. Everywhere the symbols were the same, and everywhere the cult of the mother and child became the popular system. Their worship was celebrated with the most disgusting and immoral practices. The image of the queen of heaven with the babe in her arms was seen everywhere, though the names might differ as languages differed. It became the mystery-religion of Phoenicia, and by the Phoenicians was carried to the ends of the earth. Ashtoreth and Tammuz, the mother and child of these hardy adventurers, became Isis and Horus in Egypt, Aphrodite and Eros in Greece, Venus and Cupid in Italy, and bore many other names in more distant places. Within 1,000 years, Babylonianism had become the religion of the world, which had rejected the Divine revelation. End Quote- Harry A. Ironside Satan had not forgotten the curse God placed on him in the Garden that day. He was 'hell-bent' on thwarting God's plan. Thus, when Christ came at the appointed time, (Gal. 4:5-6), being born of a virgin, and living out the Father's plan perfectly to include His death, burial, and resurrection...Satan finally knew it was all over but the crying. Unfortunately, his long-term defeat would not deter his short term schemes. Satan redoubled his efforts and in his anger and fury at the growing "Christ-followers" an evil planned hatched in his mind. He would take what he formed at Babel, and apply this to this new growing Christian movement, mixing paganism with Christianity, and hell followed with it. Assessment In 1994, the late and sorely missed Dave Hunt released his best known literary work entitled, "A Woman Rides the Beast". In it, he systematically lays out the historical, political, and religious connections that tie the 'woman/harlot' of Revelation 17, to the institution we know today as the Roman Catholic Church (RCC). The Bible identifies this religious system as the one in which the Antichrist uses to promote global ecumenism that ultimately leads to his global domination. Dave points out in painstaking detail that this isn't an attempt at a modern day witch-hunt against Catholics. It's not castigating all Catholics as evil globalists, but that the history of the RCC as an institution itself, is undeniable in resemblance to what the Apostle John is foretold in the Revelation. Facts The RCC portends to be the 'original' Christian faith and the word Catholic itself means 'universal'. It is headed by a single man, the Pope, who serves as the "vicar" (or physical representation) of God on the earth. Aside from all the other troubling theological and doctrinal issues the RCC promotes the ongoing one which seems to revive itself every few years, is the one which wants to cement Mary's role in salvation as 'co-redemptrix', equal to Jesus Christ, with her being commonly referred to as 'the Mother of God'. The RCC places prominence of Mary (the Queen of Heaven) and the infant Jesus as its iconic imagery above all else. In fact, no other Christian section/faction/denomination places as much prominence on Mary as does the RCC. Can you see the revival of the 'mother-child' Babylonian religion being injected here? The RCC reached its zenith of power between the centuries of the 800's -1500's. No other single religion has for so long, had one foot in the political/economic/military world, and the other in the 'divine'. No other religion comes close to the amount of blood shed she has participated in...estimated thus far in the realm of 50 million. From the Crusades to the Inquisitions...the Roman Catholic Church has had blood on her hands...a lot of blood. She has maintained powerful political and economic connections going back over 1,700 years to the time of Emperor Constantine. She has at many times, throned and dethroned kings and queens over disagreements on who is actually in control. As for being a religion of means, she has become exceedingly prosperous, at times being the single wealthiest entity on the planet. Given the fact that she mercilessly persecuted the Waldenses, Albigenses, Josephists, Lollards, Henricians, Arnoldists, New World Indians, Jews, Saracens and countless others that posed a challenge to her authority, it's no wonder how such an entity could accumulate so much land and wealth over the centuries. Not even the bloody banner of Islam comes close to the political, economic, and religious clout the Roman Catholic Church has wielded over the last two millennia. Islam does spread quickly, but it can only spread and keep its newly held gains by force and by deception. On the other hand, Roman Catholicism has shifted away from force to infiltrating schools, hospitals, charities, media, movies, banking, and other religions (see Emerging Church/ Ecumenicalism) to diversify its influence and wealth. Conclusion In light of all the historical considerations of the RCC over the last 1,700 years, is it reasonable to believe that the Roman Catholic Church could fill the shoes of this coming harlot (the Beauty) which rides the final system of government (the Beast) into total power as described to the Apostle John in the Revelation? I believe that the answer undoubtedly is yes. The Puritans and early Protestants believed that the Pope then was the Antichrist. They saw the corruptions and violence the RCC was capable of, and convinced them that he (the Pope) and they (the RCC) were the very system we know of as the Antichrist and the Beast. Granted, their eschatology is what we would consider today as historic pre-millennialism in that they attributed the events of their day as fulfilling the pages of eschatological writ. But what I believe we are witnessing today, is clearly not the final form of this 'Mystery Babylon' harlot who has the whole world drinking her blasphemous Kool-aide. Rather, what we are witnessing today that has so many troubled, particularly with Pope Francis, more than any of his predecessors, is the speed at which he seems to be implementing these rapid changes in positions and allegiances that are not only anti-Biblical, but now seem anti-Roman Catholic. So much so, that many within his own organization are leery of the broad brush approaches he is using to accept atheists, homosexuals, divorcees, and others whom the RCC had for millennia, condemned as heretics. The RCC's efforts and undermining and undoing the 500 years of Protestant Reformation seems finally to have found traction...and listening ears. Many from the Word-Faith and Emergent Church movements want a reunification back with this RCC system, perhaps because they see Christian Evangelicalism's dwindling influence in a post-modern culture. Perhaps they want to return because they share this common "Amillennial/Post-Millennial" eschatological view that they have to be the ones to "usher in the Kingdom". What better than to partner with the 'Vicar of Christ' himself? I'm also of the belief that Pope Francis is not the "Petrus Romanus" or the "False Prophet" of Revelation 13 and 17 per say, primarily because he's much too old and frail to fill that position. But I do believe that he is a precursor to that man. Extraordinary times calls for extraordinary measures...and I believe a younger pope will come and he will be the one to expedite what John Paul II, Benedict XVI, and Francis have already started...but only after one key event occurs; the Rapture of the Church. At the Rapture of the Church, the Holy Spirit's ministry here on earth will be changed, for lack of a better word. He will be withdrawn in the sense that His removal, forces the removal of all true, born-again believers from the earth, who are both indwelt and sealed by, the Holy Spirit. (2 Cor. 1:21-22, Eph. 1:13-14, 4:30). The Holy Spirit Himself is omnipresent, and similar to His involvement in the earth before the day of Pentecost, His removal doesn't mean He won't be operating on the earth in the 70th Week of Daniel. All it means is that His role will have changed into a different role. With the Church removed, the world will embrace this final, apostate, blasphemous form of the RCC. I also get that the world is in chaos at the moment and only getting worse. People are scared, and are searching for answers. Knowing that the RCC is the instrument by which this coming Antichrist rides to power on, might seem like trivial information at the moment, but think about it as being ahead of the information curve. The RCC is the instrument that helps bring about the physical and spiritual deaths of billions of people...so identifying now, who that is, is relevant. If you are in that church, get out. If you have friends or family in that church, encourage them to read an unbiased history about it and see for themselves all the damage that corrupt, works-based, pseudo-Christian religion has done. Also remember, that God loves the Catholic people. God hates the Catholic religion. It is a harlot that has fornicated with the kings of this earth, and has upheld blasphemy, as toxic cup mankind has drank for far too long. While she is not in her final stage now, she is getting ready. Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, "Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication." So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. Even so, Maranatha!

I Kings 8:13 (The Israel Bible™) Every floor, remnant and centimeter of the city of Jerusalem "attest to the fact that it is an Arab and Islamic city," said Palestinian mufti Sheik Mohammed Hussein on Sunday. Speaking at an event commemorating the 47th anniversary of a fire at the Al Aqsa Mosque, located on the Temple Mount, Hussein said that the Palestinian people and citizens of Jerusalem had to protect the mosque using "whatever means possible," Arutz 7 reported on Monday. Hussein accused the Jewish people of trying to turn Jerusalem into its eternal capital (which it already is), erasing all Arab and Islamic culture from the city. "It is not just Al-Aqsa and its domes which reflect the Islamic nature of the city, but each floor of the holy city, every remnant of the city, and every centimeter attest to the fact that it is an Arab and Islamic city, whose roots lie deep in history and culture," proclaimed the mufti. His words held special irony considering the fact that the Jordanian Waqf, which controls the Temple Mount, is known to systematically remove any and all evidence of the ancient Jewish presence on the site where two Jewish temples stood over two thousand years ago. Hussein insisted that the sacrifices of the Palestinian people were proof that they would never give up on the mosque, nor other Islamic holy sites, likely referring to the number of Palestinian terrorists who have died attacking Jews in attempts to martyr themselves for Al Aqsa. Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal addressed the gathering with a taped speech in which he announced, "The Palestinian people will place their finger on the trigger, and are preparing for the liberation of Palestine, Jerusalem and the Al Aqsa Mosque." It is a popular fiction in the Arab narrative that Israel is attempting to change the "status quo" on the Temple Mount. According to the current status quo, which is strictly enforced by Muslim and Israeli security alike, only Muslims are allowed to pray freely in the compound. Jewish and Christian pilgrims, whose visiting hours to the Mount are severely restricted, are often banished from the site if they are caught even mumbling a semblance of prayer. While Israeli leadership has repeatedly insisted that it has no desire or intention to change the status quo, the imaginary threat has motivated dozens of Palestinian and Arab terrorists to commit acts of violence and murder against innocent Jews and Israelis over the past year. Riots on the Mount are common, with Arab groups attacking tourists or non-Muslim visitors both verbally and physically.

Comments by Egypt's president el-Sissi made to newspaper editors after Israeli delegation arrives in Cairo to discuss peace push Amid speculation over a developing Egyptian bid to revive stalled Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations, Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi said late Sunday that Russian President Vladimir Putin was willing to host Israeli and Palestinian leaders for direct talks. In a briefing with newspaper editors in Cairo, Sissi said Israel is increasingly convinced of the need for achieving peace with the Palestinians, according to media reports in Israel and Egypt. No peace process could be successful, he told the journalists, without reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas. He also said Israeli-Palestinian peace, which could enable further burgeoning of Israeli-Arab alliances generally, is the key to regional stability, a sentiment that echoed comments heard in recent months from Jordan's King Abdullah and other Sunni Arab leaders. Sissi's comments follow meetings earlier Sunday between an Israeli delegation in Cairo and Egyptian officials on the Egyptian president's proposal to revive the peace process. Israeli officials were scheduled to meet their Egyptian counterparts on Palestinian peace talks, as well as other matters related to the two countries, the Germany news agency DPA reported. The talks were said to last several hours, according to the report by the Germany agency. Last week, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas reportedly informed Egypt he is no longer opposed to participating in a regional or international peace summit in Cairo. According to a report on Israel Radio on Friday, the Palestinian leader told an Egyptian delegation in Ramallah that he was willing to attend such a conference, but stressed that the Egyptian peace push would not replace the French initiative to revive talks, which the Palestinians have favored but Israel has strongly opposes. The PA president also reportedly asked that France, Russia and Switzerland attend the summit. Abbas urged Egypt to press Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to freeze settlement construction and release Palestinian prisoners ahead of a meeting between the two leaders in Egypt, the report said, but Cairo's position on the proposed preconditions was not immediately clear. In July, Palestinian leaders presented several preconditions for participating in a trilateral Israeli-Egyptian-Palestinian peace summit in Cairo, including a freeze on Israeli settlement construction, a Palestinian official told The Times of Israel. Abbas also demanded that Israel acquiesce to negotiations based on the pre-1967 lines and pledge ahead of time to implement any agreements reached in the talks. Netanyahu in July reportedly told Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry - on a rare visit to Jerusalem - he would be willing to meet with Abbas in Cairo for talks hosted by Sissi. The Prime Minister's Office did not deny the report by the Saudi-owned, pan-Arab news outlet Al-Arabiya. It said in a statement that "whether the issue was discussed or not, Israel has always said it is prepared to conduct direct bilateral negotiations with no preconditions." Sissi reportedly offered to host direct talks between the sides as part of Cairo's initiative to kick-start the moribund peace process. Shoukry's visit to Israel was the first by an Egyptian foreign minister since 2007. The visit came amid speculation over the renewal of an Arab peace initiative and as Israel's military recently saluted "unprecedented" intelligence cooperation with Egypt to combat the Islamic State group. According to Israel's Channel 2 television, Shoukry's surprise visit was also aimed at arranging a first meeting between Netanyahu and Sissi in Egypt in the coming months. The TV report said Shoukry's first visit to Israel was coordinated between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, whose Arab Peace Initiative is backed by Sissi and much of the Arab world as the basis of any regional peace effort. Netanyahu has rejected the initiative in its current form, but said in late May that it "contains positive elements that could help revive constructive negotiations with the Palestinians."

Genesis 4:15 (The Israel Bible™) On Sunday afternoon, a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip hit the city of Sderot in Israel, no injuries have been reported. In response to the attack, Israel Air Force (IAF) aircraft immediately targeted Hamas positions in the northern Gaza Strip. This was the 14th rocket fired from the Gaza Strip at Israel since the beginning of 2016. But this time, the Israeli response was swift and refreshingly "disproportionate." IDF Spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner said in a statement: "The IDF remains committed to the stability of the region and operated in order to bring quiet to the people of southern Israel. When terrorists in Hamas' Gaza Strip, driven by a radical agenda based on hatred, attack people in the middle of the summer vacation, their intentions are clear - to inflict pain, cause fear and to terrorize. According to Ma'an, the IDF fired missiles into the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanoun on Sunday afternoon and evening, injuring at least five Arabs. Reports of an air raid over Beit Hanoun emerged at around 10:30 PM, with IAF shelling. Earlier in the day, a spokesman for the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that a young Arab man in his twenties was injured as a result of an Israeli artillery shelling targeting a military training ground in Beit Hanoun near the Erez crossing. Local sources later told Ma'an that two other Arabs were also injured, though the details remained unclear An Israel Air Force plane was used to strike the first target, while an Israeli army tank was used to attack the second. Eyewitnesses told Ma'an that a rocket fired by an Israeli drone hit a water reservoir and another shell landed in an open area in Beit Hanoun. The Hamas "Palestinian Information Center" reported that a "Palestinian citizen was injured in the face" by shrapnel of an artillery shell. The report quoted local sources as saying that Israeli tanks fired three shells at an agricultural land in the al-Masriyyin neighborhood in Beit Hanoun. Furthermore, the report said Israeli artillery shells landed in the Filistin training ground which Hamas fighters use for military training. All of the above were signals from Israel's new Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman (Yisrael Beiteinu) that the old "proportionate" retaliation policy whereby a volley of rockets from Gaza that fall mostly in empty fields in Israel is met with a lazy IAF attack, several hours later, against terrorist facilities that had been cleared of their inhabitants well in advance - all that is over. Liberman is changing the rules in Gaza, and it appears that from now on, a provocation, no matter how small, will be met with a fierce and destructive reaction-last night's attacks hit some 50 targets-that might change the calculus on the other side as well. One side benefit of the IAF and tank attacks Sunday was that Abu Obeida, the spokesman for Hamas' military wing who was supposed to give a watershed announcement on his group's policy, canceled his planned speech for security reasons.

The Bible talks about people making themselves willingly ignorant of the fact that the world was covered by a great flood (2 Pet. 3:5-6). Scientists have found solid evidence that there was great flood on our planet. Sediment deposits, marine fossils on mountains, evidence of water in deserts, water marks on mountains, population of earth would be greater if man evolved billions of years ago, and there had been no flood to wipe them out, etc. But some scientists and political leaders choose to be willingly ignorant on this subject. Some even work to prevent the facts from being discussed and taught. But this problem of people making themselves willing ignorant is far greater than one subject (the Flood). Many people bury their heads in the sand and deliberately choose to ignore the facts on a variety of issues. For example, it seems that some of the best known leaders in the world today, have voluntarily decided to blind themselves to the cause of Islamic terrorism. Pres. Obama won't even say the words and he has even had them scrubbed from military training documents. In the United States, the terrorists that attacked the World Trade Center in New York City (the first time and the second time), those that bombed the Boston Marathon, those that attacked Pamela Geller's Mohammed drawing contest in Texas, the shoe bomber, the underwear bomber, the Fort Hood shooter, the gunman that attacked the naval facility in Chattanooga, the couple that killed 14 people in San Bernardino, the man that killed dozens of people at the gay nightclub in Orlando, etc., etc., etc. had one thing in common: Their Islamic religion. None of these terrorists were Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists or Atheists, or any other religion. None of them shouted "Jesus is great," or "Jehovah is great," or "My Hindu god (or goddess) is great," or "Buddha is great," etc. But many of them shouted "Allahu Akbar" or similar words in reference to their Islamic faith. Worldwide it has been reported that Muslims have launched an average of five terrorist attacks a day every day since 9/11/01. That is more than 25,000 Muslim terrorist attacks in about 15 years. The motive for these 25,000 terrorist attacks varies, but there is one overwhelming motive that outnumbers all of the others put together. Many Muslims believe it is their religious duty to kill non-Muslims (the infidels) and doing so will earn them a place in their perceived "paradise." There are two candidates running for Pres. of the United States. One has never held a political office before. He has many flaws and some call him an Islamophobe-but he is actually a realist. He believes it is dangerous to let Muslims into the United States from terrorist countries if they have not been thoroughly vetted and found to be safe. The other has held several political offices. She also has many flaws, but she is not an Islamophobe. She is willingly ignorant, incredibly stupid and/or deeply corrupt because she is one of those world leaders that have blinded themselves to the undeniable facts about Muslims. She has Muslim advisors and staff. She accepts millions of dollars from Muslims for her campaign and charities and wants to increase Muslim immigration to the United States by more than 500 percent. Hillary Clinton is on record saying, "Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people having nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism." This failure to see a connection between Muslims and terrorism should concern Americans because Muslims recruit and train terrorists in every country to which they migrate. They have already started recruiting and training people in the United States. This should concern Jews, because Muslim terrorists are attacking Jews in many nations (France, Germany, etc.). Attacks on Jews will increase in the United States. This should concern women because spreading Sharia Law is the goal of some Muslims and doing that destroys women's rights by turning them into second class citizens, beating them, raping them, not letting them drive, etc. Hillary Clinton's husband, Bill, has served as honorary chairman of an "education" group in Dubai called GEMS. They teach Sharia Law and they have given millions of dollars to Bill and Hillary's Clinton Foundation. This should concern Millennials because they and their children will most likely have to deal with an increase in mall attacks, car bomb explosions, airplane hijackings, beheadings and more. Planes have already been hijacked in the United States (on 9/11/01) and there have been one or two beheadings. This should concern gays because some Muslim groups such as ISIS regularly kill gays. Many died at the Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando. This should concern all people (Asians, blacks, whites, Hispanics, etc.) because Muslim terrorists attack non-Muslims regardless of race, creed or color. Muslims who do not tow the radical Islamic ideals are also at risk. The attacks are about spreading the most barbaric principles of the Islamic religion. The critics of Obamacare have been proven right. The Obama administration promised that health insurance premiums would go down. Instead, they have absolutely skyrocketed. The Obama administration promised that Obamacare would not kill jobs. Instead, firms are hiring fewer workers because of suffocating health care costs. As you will see below, even the Federal Reserve is admitting this. The Obama administration also promised that the big health insurance companies would love the new Obamacare plans and would eagerly compete with one another to win customers in the new health insurance marketplaces. Instead, many of the big health insurance companies are now dropping Obamacare plans altogether. We witnessed the latest stunning example of this phenomenon just a few days ago. It turns out that Aetna has been losing hundreds of millions of dollars on plans sold through the health exchanges, and now they plan to pull out of the program almost entirely... Earlier this week, Aetna, which covers about 900,000 people through the health exchanges created under Obamacare, announced that it would dramatically reduce its presence those exchanges. Instead of expanding into five new states this year, as the insurer had previously planned, the company said that it would drop out of 11 of the 15 states in which it currently sells under the law. Aetna's decision follows similar moves from other insurers: UnitedHealth announced in April that it would cease selling plans on most exchanges. Shortly after, Humana pulled out of two states, Virginia and Alabama. More than a dozen of the nonprofit health insurance cooperatives set up under the law-health insurance carriers created using government-back loans in order to spur competition-have failed entirely. While some insurers are entering the exchanges, even more are leaving. Another one of "the big five", UnitedHealth, is going to lose more than half a billion dollars on Obamacare plans. So just a few months ago they also announced that they would be dramatically scaling back their participation in the program. Because of the ridiculous costs, health insurance companies are either going to have to abandon the exchanges completely or they will have to raise rates substantially. Needless to say, the people that are going to ultimately feel the pain from all of this are consumers... Customers who are now forced to obtain insurance or pay a hefty fine that grows more costly over time are being left in a difficult position. Americans are essentially stuck between a rock and hard place, either losing coverage entirely, or having to cough up money for a plan they can't afford. "Something has to give," said Larry Levitt, a healthcare law expert at the Kaiser Family Foundation. "Either insurers will drop out or insurers will raise premiums." On the low end of the spectrum, tens of millions of poor Americans benefit from government programs that provide health care at little or no cost. On the other end of the spectrum, the very wealthy can afford to pay the ridiculously high health insurance premiums that we are seeing under Obamacare. So what this means is that the people that are being hurt the most by Obamacare are those that belong to the middle class. As I mentioned above, employers are now hiring less workers because of Obamacare, and that is very bad news for the middle class. One recent study conducted by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York discovered that nearly one out of every five firms is "employing fewer workers" because of this insidious law... According to a new survey by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, 20.9% of manufacturing firms in the state said they were employing fewer workers because of the Affordable Care Act, the healthcare law known as Obamacare, while 16.8% of respondents in the service sector said the same. And middle class Americans that have to pay for their own health insurance are being hit with much higher bills these days. According to one recent study, it is being projected that the average Obamacare premium will go up 24 percent in 2016... Now, courtesy of a new study by independent analyst Charles Gaba - who has crunched the numbers for insurers participating in the ACA exchanges in all 50 states - we can also calculate what the average Obamacare premium increase across the entire US will be: using proposed and approved rate increase requests, the average Obamacare premium is expected to surge by a whopping 24% this year. Even NBC News, which is about as pro-Obama as you can get, is reporting on the crippling premium increases that are devastating the middle class... Millions of people who pay the full cost of their health insurance will face the sting of rising premiums next year, with no financial help from government subsidies. Renewal notices bearing the bad news will go out this fall, just as the presidential election is in the home stretch. "I don't know if I could swallow another 30 or 40 percent without severely cutting into other things I'm trying to do, like retirement savings or reducing debt," said Bob Byrnes, of Blaine, Minnesota, a Twin Cities suburb. His monthly premium of $524 is already about 50 percent more than he was paying in 2015, and he has a higher deductible. All over the nation people are getting hit like this. Personally, my health insurance company wanted to nearly double the rate I was paying when Obamacare fully kicked in. So I searched around and found another plan that was only about a 30 percent increase, but at least it wasn't nearly double what I had been paying before. But when the time came to renew that plan, they wanted to jump my premium up another 50 percent per month. Those of us that are in the middle are being crushed by Obamacare. We aren't poor enough to qualify for government assistance, and we aren't wealthy enough for these ridiculous health insurance premiums not to matter. Just about everything that Barack Obama promised us about Obamacare has turned out to be a lie. So where in the accountability? This is one of the big reasons why nearly one out of every five U.S. adults lives with their parents or their grandparents these days. Many young adults cannot afford the basics of life such as health insurance, and so they have got to find a way to cut back expenses somewhere. If that means moving back in with Mom and Dad, that is what some of them are going to do. I am astounded that our system of health care has become so messed up. But this is just more evidence of how our society is falling apart in thousands of different ways, and I am not optimistic that things will be turned around any time soon.

It is written in 1 Timothy 2:7, "For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. The Apostle Peter writes in 1 Peter 4:7-8, "But the end of all things is at hand: be therefore sober minded, and watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love shall cover a multitude of sins." It is not sound-mindedness when Christians question other Christians' Christianity or salvation because they are expressing their political beliefs. This is wrong-mindedness. This political election cycle has viciously divided many of us who should have God's love and affection one for another. Sober-mindedness needs to be employed. We need to have unity. Because of what I have written in The Daily Jot about Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, some claiming to be Christians have called into question my salvation. They say that I cannot be Christian and support a man like Donald Trump. Let's see-Trump has recently gone on record as saying supports the sanctity of life, would appoint pro-life, conservatives to the Supreme Court, work to repeal the rule not allowing pastors of 501C3 churches to speak on politics; he would reverse the policies against Israel; defeat the Islamic State; stop illegal and dangerous immigration; and stand up for Christians being persecuted around the world. He also said he would bring jobs back to the US and reduce taxes. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is ardently pro-abortion and admires Planned Parenthood's racist founder Margaret Sanger. She has committed to appoint "progressive" (meaning communist) pro-abortion justices to the Supreme Court. She believes pastors should not be protected by the First Amendment. She plans a TRILLION-dollar-plus tax increase. She will continue the US policies against Israel and promote non-vetted Islamic immigration into the US. She will continue the globalist economic policies that keep Americans out of work. Her reckless custody of national security secrets and endless trail of scandals speak volumes. Clinton will continue the unsecure and dangerous US border policy. Which candidate more aligns with the Biblical definition of leadership selection found in Exodus 18:21-able men, respecting God, men of truth, hating covetousness (taking what you have and giving it to themselves or others)? And people want to question another's salvation for supporting Trump? Elections tend to bring out the worst in people because emotions run high. Putting personal offense ahead of common sense is wrong-minded and lacks discernment. Justifying a non-vote or a vote for someone who can't win based on principle, is nothing short of cowardice. Going to both candidates' websites, studying up, choosing the one that more closely matches with Christian beliefs is making an informed decision and exercising sound-mindedness. Respectful discussion demonstrates love.

"And when people escape from the wicked ways of the world by learning about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up with sin and become its slave again, they are worse off than before." -2 Peter 2:20 Sometimes we hear about well-known people who claim to have made a commitment to Jesus Christ. Often, it is around election time. When they address Christians, they speak of their great faith in God. After the elections, we seldom hear about it again. Then there are people who say they are believers, but a month or two later, they go back to their old ways again. They say, "I tried Christianity, but it didn't work for me." But in reality, they never really found Christ. Others will turn to God when they hit hard times. Awhile later, you see them going back to their old ways, and you wonder what happened. I would suggest that many of these people never were converted at all. They went through the motions, but Jesus Christ never became a part of their lives. Often, they end up worse than before. When Jesus Christ truly comes into our lives, He takes up residence. And He doesn't just do a basic housecleaning; He does a thorough one. There is real change. But when a house has only been swept, that is, when someone has made only moral changes, he or she is still vulnerable to the enemy. This is why we must recognize the futility of simply turning over a new leaf or making a few new resolutions. We must realize the problem is deeper than our moral sins. We must get to the heart of the matter and have Jesus Christ take residence in our lives and change us from the inside out.
