How UNESCO Fulfills Ezekiel 36...Temple Mount - By Bill Randles -
http://www.raptureready.com/2017/08/22/unesco-fulfills-ezekiel-36-temple-mount-bill-randles/ "Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord: Thus saith the Lord God; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession: Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people: Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God; Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about. Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey. Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen: Therefore thus saith the Lord God; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame" (Ezekiel 36:1-7). Ezekiel 36 is a compliment to Ezekiel 6. In Ezekiel 6, a curse is pronounced on "the Mountains of Israel." the very heart of biblical Israel, known as Judea and Samaria, but presently referred to by the kings of the earth, as the West Bank, or as "the occupied territory." The mountains which once teemed with Jewish life and with forests, streams and some farmland, would become desolate; the Jews would be taken out of it, all but a tiny remnant and the land would become a desert for the sins of the inhabitants thereof. Ezekiel 36 is also a prophecy to the "mountains" of Israel. It comes in a series of chapters predicting the total restoration of Israel at the end of the Age. The mountains would once again be made lush and fertile and Jewish cities and villages would teem with people, and those who oppress and persecute the Jews would no more be seen there. The prediction begins with a quotation of the enemy, that "Alas, even the Ancient high places are our possession." A High Place is a Holy Site, a place of reverence to a given people. Later on the prophecy predicts that the Land of Judea would be "taken up in the lips of talkers." These "talkers" have appointed God's land as a possession to the "nations round about." This is an amazing prophetic description of the situation today on the Temple Mount. UNSECO has re-classified the Land of Judea and most of the sacred sites of Israel such as The tomb of the Patriarchs, the Temple Mount and the Tomb of Rachel as being Muslim sites and not Jewish. The UN in particular, through the UNESCO (United Nations Science, Educational and Cultural Organization) have taken those "Holy places" and apportioned them as World Heritage sites of the Palestinian people, in spite of the fact that they were, are, and always have been known to be explicitly Jewish for centuries. In the CAMERA article titled, "UNESCO and the Revision of the Jewish History," Ricki Hollander writes: For years there has been a concerted effort by Palestinians and Muslim states to rewrite history and eradicate any Jewish connection to Judaism's holiest sites. The latest attempt takes the form of a UNESCO resolution sponsored by Arab states that essentially erases Judaism's connection to the Temple Mount, calling it only by its Arab name. This follows closely on the heels of a similar Palestinian-Jordanian draft resolution to UNESCO's World Heritage Committee in July 2016 that similarly called for a return of the Temple Mount to its alleged "historic" status quo before 1967, as if history starts and ends with the 19 years of Jordanian domination over the site when Jews were barred from visiting. These resolutions are clearly based on falsehood and distortion. But UNESCO has a history of siding with anti-Israel forces: In April 2016, it passed a very similar politically motivated resolution condemning Jewish visits to and policing of the Temple Mount, which it similarly referred to only by its Arab terms - al-Aksa Mosque/al-Haram al Sharif. While France, a member that voted for the April resolution, subsequently apologized for this, Palestinians and Muslims were encouraged to step up their campaign. France did not vote against the latest resolution, but abstained from voting. Despite negative reactions to the draft resolution by UNESCO's director-general and others, the resolution passed by a vote of 24-6, with 26 abstentions. Media outlets reporting on such a historical, politically motivated actions should make sure to include the historical facts and implications of such moves. Ezekiel saw it all and predicted it; the "Talkers" are the Arab States, the UN, UNESCO and the nations of the world, daring to presume the right to vote on the sovereignty of the Land God gave to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The boast that Ezekiel heard, and now the world is hearing about "the Ancient High Places" now being the possession of the enemy, is seen in the Arab "outrage" and rioting over the Jewish State's attempt to put metal detectors and cameras as a security measure over the Temple mount, in the wake of a recent terror attack on Two Druze police, by Muslims using the sanctity of the Mount as a refuge to carry out their perfidy. The most High mentions "the rest of the nations and Edumea, as being complicit in the outrage of wrongfully taking possession of God's land "with all of the joy of their hearts and despiteful minds." Edumea, the ancient name for southern Jordan is particularly mentioned. The Jordanian Waqf is the Muslim body which seized the mountain in 1948, and controls it to this very day. Ezekiel knew that by the Spirit of God. When Israel seized Jerusalem back in 1967, the world beheld hardened Jewish paratroopers weeping at the site of the Wailing Wall. The Temple Mount was back in Jewish hands for the first time since 70 A.D. But curiously and immediately, Moshe Dayan, a secularist Jewish General, on behalf of a secularist Jewish Government, turned the Temple Mount back over to the Waqf, as a gesture of good will to the Arabs. The King of Jordan, (reportedly a moderate, reasonable Muslim) is participating in the fiction that there is nothing Jewish about the Holy Sites, including the Temple Mountain: Excerpt from the article titled: "Jordan's King Vows to Stop Judaization of Temple Mount": Today the Waqf has control and determines who can go on the mountain, how long they can stay, what they can say and not say on the Mount. When Jews are allowed to come up to MT Zion they are followed by Temple Mount Guards (Muslims) to make sure they do not utter so much as a prayer. There is something so spiritually sensitive about this mountain, that the dark powers of the earth fear a change of status on it. Much of the final controversy and horrifying judgments of the last days are called by Isaiah, "The controversy of Zion." "For it is the day of the Lord's vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion. And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch. It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever" (Isaiah 34:8-10). Netanyahu Tells Putin Iran's Growing Role in Syria Threatens Israel - http://www.breitbart.com/jerusalem/2017/08/23/netanyahu-tells-putin-irans-growing-role-syria-threatens-israel/ Iran's growing role in Syria poses a threat to Israel, the Middle East and the world, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday. "Mr. President, with joint efforts we are defeating Islamic State, and this is a very important thing. But the bad thing is that where the defeated Islamic State group vanishes, Iran is stepping in," Netanyahu told Putin during talks at Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi. "We cannot forget for a single minute that Iran threatens every day to annihilate Israel," Netanyahu said. "It (Iran) arms terrorist organizations, it sponsors and initiates terror." Netanyahu also said that "Iran is already well on its way to controlling Iraq, Yemen and to a large extent is already in practice in control of Lebanon". Iran denies sponsoring terrorism. Putin, in the part of the meeting to which reporters had access, did not address Netanyahu's remarks about Iran's role in Syria. Russia intervened in Syria on behalf of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in 2015, its forces fighting what it deems Islamist terrorists. Russia is acting in partnership with Iran and Lebanon's Hezbollah group, Israel's arch-foes. In the past few months, Russia has been the main broker of de-escalation zones set up in Syria. Israel worries those zones will allow Iranian troops and Hezbollah forces to deploy in greater strength. Moscow argues its big-power clout deters Iran or Hezbollah from opening a new front with Israel. In comments published last week, the chief of Israel's air force said Israel had struck suspected Hezbollah arms shipments in Syria around 100 times during the Syrian civil war, apparently without Russian interference and rarely drawing retaliation. Can Putin keep Hezbollah from Israel's borders? - http://www.debka.com/article/26191/Can-Putin-keep-Hizballah-from-Israel's-borders- Israel's northern borders with Syria and Lebanon were on edge this week, as Prime Minister Binyamin prepared to raise Israel's concerns about southern Syria at a critical meeting with President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, Aug. 23, at the Black Sea resort of Sochi. The Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem noted that he would be accompanied by Mossad Director Yossie Cohen. He has just returned from a failed attempt in Washington to draw the Trump Administration's attention to the deteriorating security situation on Israel's northern borders, where Russian Muslim troops are already in position. Our sources report that he left Washington empty-handed for three reasons: 1. The White House was inundated in political crises on the home front. 2. President Donald Trump had resolved to cut to the bone any US military involvement in the Syria conflict outside of the war on the Islamic State. 3. Trump refused to hear of any compromise on his deal with Putin for cooperating in Syria, especially in the creation of de-escalation zones for gradually winding down the conflict. Israel, like Jordan, repeatedly put forward objections to this arrangement, especially in relation to its Golan border with Syria. Neither Washington nor Moscow was interested. This week, US Secretary of Defense James Mattis visited Amman to discuss Jordan's concerns about the pro-Iranian Shiite militias landing close to its border with Syria. Both their concerns were borne out in the last few days, when the Syrian army and its pro-Iranian Shiite allies including Hezbollah launched four simultaneous warfronts at Deir ez-Zor in the east, Sweida in the southeast, Hama in the center and the Qalamoun Mountains on the Syrian-Lebanese border in the west - all with Russian air support, often including paratroop drops. Gaining the upper hand on those four fronts, our sources point out, will restore Syria's border regions with Jordan, Iraq and Lebanon to their status quo ante the outbreak of the 2011 civil war, and bring Israel's enemies closer than ever before to its northern door. Their rapid battle momentum will effectively override the effect of the de-escalation zones established by the two presidents on two of Syria's borders - with Russian support! Their Sweida offensive has already brought the Syrian army and Hizballah right up to the Jordanian border by circling around the Daraa de-escalation zone - under Russian cover. This tactic is expected to be repeated in short order in the Quneitra zone which faces Israel's Golan border, even though Russian troops are installed there as monitors, just as they are in Daraa.. Furthermore, as Syrian government and pro-Iranian forces gain ground, the Syrian anti-Assad rebel front is breaking up, except for the Islamic State and other Islamist groups. Some former rebels are throwing in the towel or crossing the lines to Assad's army. The disintegration of the Syrian resistance, if not halted, will sooner or later reach the rebel groups entrenched on the Syrian Golan. Israel will then see the buffer which served it as a security barrier for the past four years melting away. Even if a Russian guarantee against Syrian and pro-Iranian forces reaching the Golan border is offered by Putin to calm Netanyahu's worries, it will be of limited value - first, it was refused by Washington and second, it is unlikely to be respected. Although Russia is in a dominant position for determining Syria's agenda, it is not the sole arbiter in Damascus. Iran and Hezbollah - and even Bashar Assad - are quite capable of taking matters in their own hands and embarking on a limited expedition for heating up the border with Israel - if only as a reminder to Putin, Trump and Netanyahu that Israel will not be permitted to determine the situation on that border, only their own interests. Iran versus Turkey, again - By Daniel Pipes - http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/aug/22/middle-east-rivalry-between-iran-and-turkey-interm/ The Middle East's great rivalry isn't likely to end News that Iran's and Turkey's governments reached an accord on Idlib, a Syrian town now the focus of American interests, brings relations between the two of the largest and most influential states in the Middle East momentarily out of the shadows. Their rivalry goes back a half-millennium, included 11 wars and now remains, in the words of the Washington Institute's Soner Cagaptay, the region's "oldest power game." What does the recent accord signify, and how will their competition influence the region's future? Iranian and Turkish parallels are noteworthy. Both countries have populations of 80 million. (Egypt, the region's third large country, has 96 million.) Both boast ancient civilizations, long imperial histories, tensions with Russia, and a successful avoidance of European colonialism. In modern times, each came under the rule of a ruthless modernizer after World War I, followed more recently by an even more repressive Islamist. The current leaders, Iran's Ali Khamenei and Turkey's Recep Tayyip Erdogan, enjoy near-absolute power and both feverishly try to hide this reality under a large and noisy apparatus of elections, parliaments, cabinets, laws and nongovernmental organizations. Both aspire to lead the entire Muslim community, perhaps someday claiming to be caliph. In an era of muted anti-Zionism from Arab states, Tehran and Ankara now lead the charge, with the Islamic Republic of Iran loudly denying the Holocaust and the Republic of Turkey comparing Israelis to Nazis. In several ways, Iranians lead Turks, but the latter are catching up. Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini came to power in 1979 and Mr. Erdogan in 2002. Iran has long enjoyed massive oil and gas reserves, but Turkey recently built an impressive economic base. Tehran deploys forces abroad, dominating four Arab capitals, while Ankara still fights domestic opponents, especially Gulenists and Kurds. Both governments despise the West, but Iran's is openly hostile while Turkey's formally remains in NATO and ostensibly seeks European Union membership. Ayatollah Khamenei's thugs capture American sailors on the high seas while Mr. Erdogan's takes resident Americans hostage. Conspiracy theories, long an Iranian art form, have made huge strides over the past two decades in Turkey, which may now boast the region's most fantastical speculations. Both became enthusiastic allies of Venezuela's dictator, Nicolas Maduro. As a longer-established dictatorship, Ayatollah Khamenei can allow relative freedom of expression compared with Mr. Erdogan's obsessive desire to control, including what basketball players in the United States say or what travelers transiting through Istanbul airport think. Their most major difference concerns the attitudes of their subjects. Whereas Ayatollah Khamenei enjoys the support of only about 15 percent of the populace, Mr. Erdogan can count on some 45 percent, affording him a legitimacy and confidence that Ayatollah Khamenei can only dream of. In part, this results from longevity under Islamist rule, in part from difference in per capita income, which is only $4,700 and stagnant in Iran, $10,700 and rising in Turkey. Regime collapse in Iran is within sight and will diminish Islamism, encouraging Muslims to move toward a more modern and moderate form of their religion. The Turkish government's greater popularity and more advanced version of Islamism gives it greater staying power that makes it the more worrisome long-term opponent. Thus is the Middle East likely to witness a grand switch, with Iran on course to moderation and Turkey becoming the region's supreme danger. Bilateral relations flourished during the first years of Mr. Erdogan's rule (2002-10), when they shared a Islamist worldview and a suspicion of U.S. intentions in Iraq. But relations then soured, primarily because both regimes seek foreign influence and, as neighbors, they inevitably clash. The civil war in Syria, where Tehran backs Shiite-oriented jihadis and Ankara backs Sunni jihadis, is their biggest but not only problem. Other matters also aggravate relations, such as their supporting opposing sides in Yemen, Turkish installing a NATO radar tracking Iranian activities, and Iranian support for al Qaeda against Turkey. Tensions have reached the point that Ali Vaez of the International Crisis Group finds Tehran and Ankara "on a collision course." Left unchecked, he expects the present dynamics to point "toward greater bloodshed, growing instability and greater risks of direct military confrontation." More poetically, Mr. Cagaptay observes that the Middle East has room for "one shah or sultan, but not a shah and a sultan." In this context, the Idlib accord looks flimsy and transient. Tehran and Ankara will probably soon turn against each other and with renewed vigor continue their perpetual rivalry. Nearing Midnight: The North Korea Problem Points West Not East - Todd Strandberg - http://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ Following a series of successes of North Korea's ICBM program, the game of brinkmanship between the U.S. and North Korea has escalated in recent weeks. The Pyongyang government is now close to having a miniaturized nuclear bomb that could fit on its missiles. North Korea has engaged in 14 missile tests this year, including its July 4th test of an intermediate-range missile that could have reached Alaska. Less than a month later, it tested a missile that could reach the lower 48 states. North Korea is also working on a sub-based missile that would not need a long range to strike the U.S. Our intelligence on the hermit kingdom is about as reliable as a fall weather forecast in June. The experts at these agencies said last year that North Korea would need four years to have a missile that could span the Pacific, and it managed to achieve this goal in less than 12 months. The 5 to 6 nukes that North Korea was initially said to possess are now estimated at 60. There is no nuclear crisis to compare to this one. While President Trump is trying to stand up to threats from fat boy Kim Jong-un, the left is doing everything it can to undermine our president. The running joke in Washington is that there is a stand-off between a mad, ruthless tyrant who is the embodiment of evil and the president of North Korea. Keith Ellison, the Deputy Chair of the Democratic National Committee, would make you wonder if he was thinking about emigrating to North Korea when he said this to a crowd at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Atlanta: You have this guy making bellicose threats against somebody else who has very little to lose over there. Kim Jong-un, the world always thought he was not a responsible leader well he's acting more responsible than this guy is. And what I'm telling you is once you start seeing missile launches, you're going to see-the time for cranking up the anti-war machine is right now. So if you don't want to get caught, deer-in-the-headlights, start calling for diplomacy in North Korea immediately. The head of North Korea may look like a clown with his freakishly fat head and comical hairstyle, but he is as deadly as a character from a Steven King novel. Kim Jong-un had his half-brother murdered with a nerve agent; he broke up with an ex-girlfriend by dispatching a firing squad, and he killed his aunt Kim Kyong-hui by having her poisoned. The most dangerous act that Kim Jong-un has been involved with was the bombardment of the island of Yeonpyeong, on 23 November of 2010. His dad had just appointed him as head of the military, and they decided it would show Kim Jong-un's leadership ability by bombing a South Korean island. This move could have easily reignited the Korean War. This reckless nature is found in most authoritarian leaders. The only thing that keeps these tyrants at bay is the threat of military force. With President Trump being wrongly depicted by the press as a weak leader, there is no telling what stunt Kim Jong-un will attempt. Fat boy may fire an unarmed missile aimed at the coast of California expecting to only cause panic. If President Trump saw the coming missile as an act of war, I'm sure he and his generals would use the nuclear option. By allowing North Korea to reach the point where it can draw attention to itself with missile tests and inflammatory statements, it is a given that other nations would like to join in on the act. Iran's president warned last week that it could restart its nuclear program "within hours or days" if the Trump Administration continued its confrontational policies toward the Islamic Republic. The greatest risk of proliferation would come from Japan changing its nuclear policy. It has outlawed the atomic bomb and maintains a pledge of nuclear pacifism. In reality, Japan has a stockpile of 65 tons of plutonium. This huge quantity was accumulated by reprocessing old fuel rods for a reactor system that doesn't exist. China has frequently grumbled about Japan's obvious intention with its plutonium stock. Since it only takes 10 pounds of plutonium, Japan could make up to 13,000 weapons. Bible prophecy seems to imply that there is not going to be a nuclear conflict in Asia. When the four demonic angels are released in the latter part of the Tribulation, they raise up an army of 200 million soldiers. This massive feat would be very hard if North Korea's military was wiped out and the Chinese were needed to police the mess. The Antichrist will likely take control of the Middle East oil fields; this would probably bring together China, North and South Korea, and Japan. That entire region is addicted to Arab oil. In order to fight their way to the Middle East, they would need to kill about a "third of mankind." A standoff between China and India exists today. If the head of India knew the Bible, he would give China and company free passage through its land. "The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the horns of the golden altar that is before God. It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates." And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. The number of the mounted troops was two hundred million. I heard their number" (Revelation 9:13-16). Eyes Wide Shut - A.V. Rauf - http://bibleprophecyfortoday.com/2017/08/23/eyes-wide-shut/ So the Great American eclipse has come............. and gone. This phenomenon was visible as a partial eclipse from all 50 states and as a total eclipse from a 70-mile-wide trajectory of 14 states. While it's impossible to know exactly how many people saw it is being reported that it was the most observed and most photographed eclipse in history. It is very likely that not hundred, nor thousands, nor tens of thousands, nor hundreds of thousands, but rather, MILLIONS of people across this country from coast to coast, watched this eclipse. A CNN poll earlier this month indicated that about half of the US population (323.1 million in 2016) planned to watch the eclipse. Although the majority of eclipses fall over water or unpopulated areas of the planet, the path of totality of this eclipse stayed completely in the United States. All things considered, nowhere else in the solar system, or in the universe for that matter, except in the USA from coast to coast yesterday was it possible to see what we American's could see. Last time this happened was in 1776, when the nation was birthed. Is this a coincidence? The sun will set at the commencement of this total solar eclipse at Salem, Oregon (named after Jerusalem circa 1850) at 10:17 AM, or the same time as the sun set in Jerusalem, Israel. The eclipse path is exactly 70 miles wide. 70 has a sacred meaning in the Bible that has two perfect numbers, 7 that represents perfection and 10 that represents completeness and God's law. 70 also symbolizes perfect spiritual order and a period of judgment. 70 is also specially connected with Jerusalem. Speaking of SEVENTY, the number SEVENTY is the number of the restoration of Israel, and is also seen many times in relation to punishment. The meanings of SEVENTY are "completeness" and "judgement". Again, it is related to the punishment and restoration of Israel. 2017 is the SEVENTIETH anniversary of UN resolution 181 in 1947, again paving the way for Israel's statehood in 1948. All this ironically, is ultimately leading up to the SEVEN year Tribulation period otherwise known as the SEVENTIETH Week of Daniel: Daniel 9:24-27-Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. 25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Jesus one time made a clear statement in which He indicated that the signs must occur at some set time or season, in order to be a signal, or warning of coming changes. Look what he said in Matthew 15:3 when speaking to the religious and political leaders in Jerusalem- Matthew 15:3: Oh ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky, but ye cannot discern the sign of the times. So our LORD was saying that certain times were important as signs. If you point to happening events, without taking into consideration the time when they occur, you can be mistaken. The 70th Week of Daniel, also referred to as the Time of Jacob's Trouble that is soon coming will be primarily focused on the final invitation of the Hebrew people. God promised Israel one more opportunity. Could it be that Blood Moons were a warning to the Jews and Solar Eclipse a warning to the gentiles, especially America? Only time will tell. So what does the phrase "EYES WIDE SHUT." mean? It seems to be a contradiction. Nonetheless, it can be defined as when a person refuses to see something in plain view because of preconceived notions of what this something should look like. This frequently happens to naïve people. Hebrews 3:12-15- Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. It's one thing to be naive. It is yet another thing to be ignorant, or worse off willfully ignorant. 2 Peter 3:1-14-This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you, in both of which I stir up your purity of mind by way of remembrance, that ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken beforehand by the holy prophets and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior, knowing this first: that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." For of this they are willfully ignorant: that by the Word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water, whereby the world as it then was, being overflowed with water, perished. But the heavens and the earth which now are, by the same Word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the Day of Judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing: that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat. The earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy manner of living and godliness, looking for and hastening unto the coming of the Day of God, wherein the heavens, being on fire, shall be dissolved and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Therefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless. Daily Jot: The greater hate - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com Along about 1992, I was running for reelection as Chairman of the Republican Party in Frederick County, Va. My wife was very pregnant with our son, Christian. The KKK decided to take over the party. They started by sending messages that I didn't know how many of them were secretly on the county committee. I went public, saying that the Republican Party was not a party of hate and that it would never be taken over by the KKK. These thugs posted KKK "guards" at the end of my driveway and harassed my pregnant wife every time she did anything outside or went to town. It was well publicized and a time in our lives where we saw the hateful hearts of racists. I ran a strong campaign and defeated them soundly. To me, groups like the KKK, white supremacists, Nazis should not be protected by the First Amendment. I feel pretty much the same way about communists, Muslim Brotherhood, Black Panthers, Antifa and a few others. These groups are fueled by hate for someone or some thing, but in reality, they seek to overthrow the Republic and establish a dictatorial rule where those that don't agree with them are executed-don't believe me? Check your history and what their leaders have said. Unfortunately, the First Amendment protects the free speech and peaceable assembly of these groups. Normally, wherever they go, violence follows. And when you get two opposing hate groups together, violence is the rule. In Charlottesville, Va., white supremacists applied for and received a legal permit to peaceably assemble. Antifa did not. Antifa, as it has done across the nation in many instances, pressed the violence against the white supremacists and one of their protestors was killed. Politicians and the media reasoned that Antifa was standing up against racism and bigotry, as should every American, and, therefore, held the moral ground. President Donald Trump said both sides were at fault, so the politicians and the media labeled him a racist. This begs the question then: Are white supremacists groups fair game, no longer protected by the First Amendment? If not, who determines the greater hate? Antifa, a self-proclaimed body of communists and anarchists against fascism, works in collaboration with the former "president's" Organization for America-a George Soros funded entity. On bluelivesmatter.com there are five pages documenting Antifa violence. A petition on whitehouse.gov now has over 260,000 signatures to declare Antifa a terrorist group. Yet the media and politicians refuse to denounce it, and hail it as standing against hate and bigotry. I agree that all Americans should stand against racism, bigotry and hatred. I have lived my life by it. Jesus told us about the two great commandments-Love God with all your heart, and "Love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:39)." Though others are about a greater hate, let us be measured by the greater love. Daily Devotion: How God Can Use Adversity - By Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org "I used to wander off until you disciplined me; but now I closely follow your word." -Psalm 119:67 Prosperity has a tendency to make people proud and self-sufficient. We don't think we need God when we have our salary, our investments, our career, our homes, our health, and our family. But when an economy goes south, or a stock market crashes, or our home burns, hopefully we turn to God and are reminded of what really matters. We should not always be so afraid of pain, because often it is during times of prosperity that we will forget God. As the Israelites were poised to enter into the Promised Land, God said to them, "When you have eaten your fill in this land, be careful not to forget the Lord, who rescued you from slavery in the land of Egypt" (Deuteronomy 6:11-12). Prior to this point, Israel had wandered in the wilderness for forty years. They were completely dependent on God for everything. Every day when they walked outside their tents, there would be manna waiting for them just like the morning paper. They would eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, sort of like Thanksgiving turkey that keeps recycling. It was their meal from Heaven. God also directed them through the wilderness with a cloud by day and a fire by night. They had to look to the Lord completely. But then God brought them to the brink of the Promised Land, where they could see lush green hills and flowing rivers. They could see fruit the size of which had never been seen before. And they could hardly wait to get in. And so God said, in effect, "Now watch out, because when you get in there, the danger is that you will forget all about Me." When pain hits, when tragedy strikes, when adversity comes, we pray-and we pray a lot. Adversity levels us and keeps us humble. And God can use adversity to bring us closer to Him. FROM THE HEART

"Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey 1) We need your prayers!- We proclaim the Truth of the Word of God and we are under constant spiritual and sometimes even physical attack. 2) We need your encouragement!- We need to hear from you, let us know how the Lord is blessing you through this ministry so that we can share it with others. 3) We need your input! - If you have a prophetic article or story or if there is a news related item we missed, let us know. 4) We need your financial support!- To put it quite simply, without your support, there would be no Prophecy Update.
