End-Times War in the Mideast: Part 3 - By Steve Ashburn -
https://www.raptureready.com/2020/08/18/end-times-war-in-the-mideast-part-2-by-steve-ashburn/ Nuclear War In The Mideast The Bible predicts that there will be a nuclear war in the Middle East, in Psalm 83, Amos 1-2, and many other books and chapters in the Old Testament, followed by a third US-led coalition invasion of Iraq. I believe this war will take place by 2030, resulting in global disruption of trade, the deaths of hundreds of millions, and the restoration of Israel to her ancient boundaries of the land of Canaan. These prophecies have been "sealed" (not widely understood) until now, but in this series of articles, I am going to prove to you, painstakingly and through extensive quotation from Scripture, exactly what the Bible says about this war. This event begins a 40-year period known as the "end times," which includes the rapture, the Ezekiel 38-39 Russian invasion of Israel, and finally, the tribulation as its last seven-year segment. The Bible must devote as much text to describing this nuclear war in the Old Testament as it does in Revelation! Therefore, it seems that God really wants us to be aware of this event, which marks the beginning of the end times, as much as He does the events of His second coming 40 years later. Understanding all this is crucial to having a properly developed end-times thesis, including the definition, timing and sequence of events of this great time period, scheduled to begin in the near future! Having said that, I now want to focus your attention on one of the nations involved in this Arab invasion of Israel, and that nation is Gaza. Modern-day Gaza is populated by descendants of the ancient Philistine people, amalgamated with Bedouin Arabs, Edomites (descendants of Esau), and Jordanian Arabs (descendants of Moab and Ammon). The land was largely uninhabited until the return of the Jews to their homeland in the twentieth century, and the subsequent economic prosperity that resulted. The present-day Arab population of Gaza largely consists of immigrants from surrounding Arab nations who recently migrated to the area to find employment, and because of the higher standard of living. Although God promised the land of Canaan to Abraham (Genesis 15:21), Israel never fully possessed this land. After World War I, Gaza was administered under the British Mandate, then after the 1948 Israeli War for Independence, by Egypt. It was captured by Israel after the Six-Day War in 1967, and in 1993 was transferred to Arab control. Gaza is presently governed by the Palestinian Authority, whose main political faction is Hamas. In Hebrew, the word hamas means "violence," and true to their name, Hamas today seeks the violent overthrow of the Jewish state with frequent rocket barrages and other terrorist attacks against their neighbor. Although Israel has never fully possessed the land of Canaan, this will finally be accomplished after the war which begins the end times. After decades of constant terrorism, murder and threats, the attempted military invasion by the nations which surround her will give Israel the impetus to fix "the Palestinian problem" once and for all. Thus Israel will possess the complete land that God promised to Abraham-the Mediterranean coast from Zarephath (north of Tyre) southward to the "river of Egypt" (Genesis 15:18, easternmost delta branch of the old Nile terminating at ancient Pelusium, near present-day Suez Canal) - thereby including the Sinai Peninsula; thence from the Gulf of Aqaba northeastward through present-day Jordan and Syria to the Euphrates River; and thence southwestward to the Mediterranean Sea near Zarephath (Genesis 15:18-21; Exodus 23:31; Numbers 34:1-12; Deuteronomy 1:24; Joshua 1:4). God's judgment on Palestine is set forth in Ezekiel, Isaiah, Obadiah, and Zephaniah. It makes sense for the Palestinians in Gaza to be judged at the same time as Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and other nations surrounding Israel since these nations together will launch an attack against Israel at the beginning of the end-times period. They also are inveterate enemies of Israel and the source of much present-day terrorism. Ezekiel 25 describes the judgment against Palestine: "Thus saith the Lord God; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred; Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast. And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them" (Ezekiel 25:15-17). The timeline here is indicated by "to destroy it for the old hatred," meaning the ages-long hatred of the Palestinians for Israel. Isaiah 14 also gives an account of this battle. God advises Palestine not to rejoice because "the rod of him that smote thee is broken" (indicating Israel during the Diaspora-the time period just preceding Ezekiel's account), since they will return as a powerful nation ("a cockatrice"). A cockatrice is a legendary, venomous serpent that could kill just by its glace, and which emerges "out of the serpent's root" (the military power of ancient Israel). Isaiah here refers to the deadly force of the modern IDF. The timeline here is when "firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety," indicating a time of peace for Israel which results after Palestine is "dissolved." This period comes after a time when God "will kill thy root with famine"; this probably refers to the two thousand years of drought in Palestine during the Diaspora. Many people tried to settle the land during this time but were largely unsuccessful because of the drought. Afterward, the modern IDF "shall slay thy remnant" in the Psalm 83 war: "Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent. And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant. Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times. What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the Lord hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it" (Isaiah 14:29-32). Isaiah says, "There shall come from the north a smoke," suggesting a great number of troops, probably Israeli. In addition, the "fiery flying serpent" which comes out of the cockatrice seems to allude to nuclear missiles, especially with enhanced-radiation warheads. A neutron bomb detonating over Gaza City, for example, would "fry" the entire population while leaving buildings intact-sting of a "serpent," indeed. By this display of extreme military force, the population of Palestine would be "dissolved"; the Hebrew word translated "dissolved" here (namowg) actually means "melted"-an accurate description of thermonuclear destruction. In addition, aircraft of the IDF-which shoot "fire" out of their engines while using the afterburners (and also from rockets), and launch deadly guided (Sidewinder?) missiles from their wings-also could be described as "fiery flying serpents." However, the sense in which Isaiah uses this term denotes widespread, sudden, violent death ("dissolved"), indicating nuclear rather than conventional force. Later, Israeli ground troops could sweep in to mop up whatever is left; thus, Palestine would be "dissolved"-physically and politically. It appears at this time that the cat-and-mouse game Israel has been playing with Palestinians in Gaza is over at this point in our narrative. Egypt cannot help the Palestinians, since they have been destroyed along with many cities and nations surrounding Israel. Since Palestinians also live in West Bank and Jordan (ancient Moab, Ammon and Edom)-and they are as equally malignant as their brethren in Gaza-Scripture addresses their destruction also. Obadiah 1 describes an attack by Israel upon Edom-the present-day West Bank and southern Jordan, which also includes Palestine: "And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the Lord hath spoken it. And they of the south shall possess the mount of Esau; and they of the plain the Philistines: and they shall possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: and Benjamin shall possess Gilead. And the captivity of this host of the children of Israel shall possess that of the Canaanites, even unto Zarephath; and the captivity of Jerusalem, which is in Sepharad, shall possess the cities of the south" (Obadiah 1:18-20). This attack apparently occurs at a time when "the day of the Lord is near," which is a code phrase for the beginning of the end times (since the day of the Lord begins with the rapture), according to verse 15: "For the day of the Lord is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head." The end-times attack on Israel by a coalition of Arab nations apparently includes the Palestinians in Gaza as well as Jordanians who occupy ancient Edom (the biblical land of Esau). Obadiah indicates Israel will destroy Edom with overwhelming military force (Obadiah 1:18), and presumably, this includes the Palestinians in Gaza as well (Obadiah 1:19). It long has been the hope of Arab nations that a blitzkrieg attack against Israel would be successful, but as in past attacks (e.g., 1967, 1973), it quickly becomes clear that their hope is in vain. Unlike previous wars, however, this time the fix is permanent. Israel begins several decades of peace and prosperity, as indicated by Ezekiel 28:26: "And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the Lord their God." We'll cover more about this Mideast war in Part 4 of this series, including the description of Gaza as "the nation of the Cherethites" ("running assassins"), and the deportation of the surviving Arabs to other nations, basically as slaves. So stand by for Part 4! I provide more details of this and many other end-times prophecies in my recently published book, END TIMES DAWNING: Get Ready! (available from www.endtimesrecord.com). Please read it! Also, if you would, please leave a book review on Amazon! Yours in Christ, Is the Antichrist Watching the News? - Olivier Melnick - https://www.newantisemitism.com/antisemitism/is-the-antichrist-watching-the-news First, we need to realize that the Antichrist is a real person. He is not a Christian legend to scare people. The Antichrist is real and while nobody knows that for sure, he might even be alive today. What I can tell you, is that if he is alive, he is probably watching the news daily, awaiting to make his entrance on the world stage as the greatest "peacemaker" ever introduced to mankind. That is of course not taking into consideration the real peacemaker; Yeshua the Messiah! So, what do we really know about the Antichrist? For this, we have to go to the source, where truth can be found. The Bible actually has quite a few details about him: * The Antichrist is a coming global human ruler - Daniel 7-12 * He will be a Gentile - Revelation 13:1 * He will be revealed after the departure of the Holy Spirit (after the Rapture) - 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7 * He will rise to absolute power - Daniel 7:8, 20; 8:23 * He will sign a seven-year treaty with Israel - Daniel 9:27 * He will break his treaty/covenant in the middle of the seven-year Tribulation - Daniel 9:27; Matthew 24:21; Revelation 13:14-15 * He will claim that he is God - Daniel 11:36 * He will persecute the Jewish People - Daniel 7:21 * He will set-up and start "the abomination of desolation" - Daniel 12:11 * He will invade Israel - Daniel 11:40-45; Ezekiel 38-39 * He will conquer - Daniel 11:38-44 * He will be defeated - Daniel 7:11, 26; 9:27 Much more can be learned about the Antichrist from Mark Hitchcock in his book The End: A Complete Overview of Bible Prophecy and of the End days. Over time, people have speculated about the identity of the Antichrist. Each time that a nasty world figure became prominent in the news, it garnered them the title-albeit potential-of Antichrist. Eventually, that person would fade away or die and their wrongly assigned title with them. Whoever he is, and regardless of him already being alive today or not, the world has to be in the right place for the Antichrist to enter the stage and be accepted by all. This leads me to the concerns I have about the recent normalization of relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. First, we must look at peace from three different perspectives: From a human perspective, in a region that has been punctuated by wars since Israel's birth as a modern nation on May 14, 1948, seeing peace between the two countries is highly unexpected and very exciting. There has been a "proverbial" hatred between Arabs and Jews for the last 75 years. In all honesty, the hatred is lopsided. There seems to be more hatred for Israel and the Jews from most Arab countries than there is from Israel towards the Arab world. This still takes into consideration the fact that both sides have friends and foes for either side. It's complicated! But from a human perspective, peace is good. As long as we understand that humanly speaking, peace simply means the absence of war. I'll still take that any day! From a biblical perspective, it goes even further. We are asked to be at peace with our neighbors and love them (Leviticus 19:18; Romans 12:18). We are also supposed to be at peace and submissive to our governments (Romans 13:1-3). Additionally, in the very words of Yeshua, we are also to love our enemies (Matthew 5:43-48). From a human perspective, this is a very tall order and it is also the only command of the sort from any of all the world religions. I have to remind myself every day that I MUST pray for my enemies and love those who persecute me. In that sense, this makes followers of Yeshua very unique. We definitely need the help of the Holy Spirit for that one! But I would also like to look at one more aspect, being the prophetic perspective. We read in Daniel 9:26-27, "Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolation's are determined. 27 And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate." There aren't that many passages in the Bible that include so much meaning and span such a long period of time in only two verses. I would like to bring our attention to the semblance of peace that this individual will bring. It will apparently come at a time soon after the Rapture of the Church when a lot of people would have "mysteriously" disappeared. Havoc will reign worldwide and the need for stability will be greater than ever. The Antichrist will come and sign a covenant with Israel, giving the world the false idea that peace has arrived on earth in general and in the Middle East in particular. We have to always keep in mind that the Antichrist will counterfeit for his own profit, all that Messiah (Christ) does. If Messiah brought real peace in the heart of men (at His first Coming) and real peace in the world upon His return at the Second Coming after the Tribulation, the Antichrist will try to counterfeit that as well with false peace. The region in the world that is the most volatile, and has been that way for decades, is the Middle East. If that region could appear to be at peace, that would go a long way to prepare the stage for the Antichrist. This is why I don't look at the normalization of relations between Israel and the UAE with the same enthusiasm as others. I rejoice for the temporal human peace aspect from that historic decision, but I also see it as a potential first of many agreements setting up the stage for the Antichrist. I look at this with great anticipation because I know that the End-Times clock is ticking towards the final countdown. Ezekiel told us that Israel will be invaded when "my people Israel are living securely" (Ezekiel 38:14), so Israel must feel at peace to somehow have its guard down. Antichrist will do his best at gathering nations against Jerusalem (Zechariah 12:1-2; 14:1-3), Revelation 16:16; 19:19). There will be much damage and many casualties (Zechariah 13:9), but ultimately, Antichrist will be defeated (Revelation 20:10) and all Israel will know their Messiah (Zechariah 12:10, Romans 11) My intention is not to be the bearer of bad news. Again, from a human perspective, this normalization will undoubtedly bring a well-deserved period of respite to the region, only the third treaty after Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994. Not to mention the threat to Iran if more Arab countries follow suit-and they most likely will. Looking at the geographical situation with Iran, alliances between Israel and any Arab country will continue to be a threat to Iran's aspirations of hegemony. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" as they say, and this could have even played a part in the recent decision. At the end of the day, the world is ready for the Antichrist, but the world is also ready for the Messiah. It is up to those of us who know the difference, to teach those who would be tempted to follow the Antichrist, and lead them to the only true Prince of Peace known as Yeshua of Nazareth (Isaiah 9:6-7; 52:13-53) Nearing Midnight: The Great Derecho Disaster of 2020 - Todd Strandberg - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ On the 10th of this month, a line of thunderstorms called a "derecho" swept across several Midwest states. The storm caused extensive damage to homes, crops and utilities, which left more than a million people without power. The state of Iowa suffered the most damage with estimated losses to corn and soybean crops topping the $3 billion mark. Meteorologists with the National Weather Service have surveyed the damage path from the derecho, finding peak estimated wind speeds of 130 mph at one point in Linn County, Iowa. The agency said that a swath of winds through parts of Benton and Linn Counties was consistent with winds that were, at times, in the 110 to 130 mph range. Specifically, meteorologists pointed to a radio transmission tower north of Marion that collapsed, caused by likely wind speeds of around 130 mph. Derecho is a Spanish word, meaning "direct" or "straight ahead," referring to widespread, long-lived storms with straight-line winds that cause damage similar to a tornado and hurricane. Derecho was first coined by Gustavus D. Hinrichs, a gifted and highly educated German immigrant who settled in Davenport in 1861, which is, oddly enough, in the core of the damage zone. The criteria that must be met for derecho classification: 1. Consistent, widespread wind damage swath greater than 250 miles. 2. Wind gusts 58 mph or greater along the entire path of the line. 3. Pockets of 75 mph or greater gusts 4. A long-lived event with lack of weakening along the entire path. Since 1850, 25 derechos have occurred in the U.S., which averages one every six years. The state of Illinois is the bull's eye for this type of storm because cooler air that comes off Lake Michigan aids in the development of a derecho. President Donald Trump told officials in Iowa that the state has the "full support of the federal government" as it continues to recover from the treacherous derecho. Trump declared a federal emergency for the state. Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds filed an expedited presidential major disaster declaration seeking $3.99 billion. The US is the largest corn producer in the world, with 96,000,000 acres of land reserved for corn production. The total production of corn in the U.S. for the year 2019 is reported to be 13.016 billion bushels, which was a bad year due to flooding and cold weather. Corn production has actually declined for the past three years. In 2016 corn production was 15.1 billion bushels. United States Department of Agriculture had hoped that 2020 would be a good year with heavy planting that was to result in a record 15.3 billion bushels. Drought conditions in western Iowa and central Ohio have already reduced crop yields. The derecho has now put a billion bushels of corn into question. Many fields have been blown flat by the winds, and they've now turned yellow from their stalks being broken. If Iowa receives heavy rain, the corn near to the ground will mold, making it unfit for human consumption. I lived in the Midwest most of my life, and I never saw anything like what I've seen on the news. The timing of the storm was at the worst stage of the growing season. The corn stalks were still green, and the weight of the corn cobs was near to its max. If the storm had taken place in May or June, the seedlings could have survived the storm. If the derecho had hit in Sept on, the corn would be drier and rigid enough to stand up to the winds. The Midwest is not the only region of the country facing weather-related calamity. California Gov. Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency as wildfires continue torching parts of Northern California amid blackouts and a severe heatwave. California's energy system operator - California Independent System Operator (CAISO) - issued a Stage 3 emergency for the first time in 20 years. China has had a series of disasters with its rice, corn, and wheat belts. Floods in the center of the nation have damaged rice crops. Drought in the north has taken a toll on wheat fields. Beijing has sent out a small army of grain buyers to purchase huge amounts of grain to fulfill China's grain needs. Since bad luck has become a permanent fixture in food production, I can only conclude that these events are the lead-up to great famine that will play out during the tribulation. "And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine" (Rev 6:5-6, KJV). "And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven" (Luke 21:11, KJV). 17 Facts That Prove The U.S. Economy Is A Complete And Total Disaster Zone At This Point - by Michael Snyder - http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/17-facts-that-prove-the-u-s-economy-is-a-complete-and-total-disaster-zone-at-this-point If you know people that actually believe that the U.S. economy is moving in a positive direction, just show them this article. In all the years that I have been writing about the economy, I have never seen anything that even comes close to what we are experiencing now. More than 100,000 businesses have permanently failed, and tens of millions of Americans have lost their jobs. If you still have a good job you should cling to it with all of your might, because there are so many families that have no idea how they are going to pay the bills next month, or the month after that, or that month after that. When it gets to the point where you can't even pay the rent or the mortgage, financial worries can absolutely consume your life. If you have been there, you know exactly what I am talking about. And if you have children, that just makes things even worse. How do you explain to them that "home" is no longer "home"? Another group of people that I feel really badly for are all the business owners that have had their dreams absolutely shattered. Starting a small business from nothing and building it into a success takes a massive amount of work, and I have a tremendous amount of respect for anyone that is able to do that. Unfortunately, so many once thriving small businesses have now been destroyed by the events of 2020. For a lot of those small business owners, it isn't just time and energy that have been lost. When you make your small business your passion, it becomes a part of who you are, and a lot of small business owners will never be the same again after this. So please keep in mind that there are real people and real dreams behind each of the numbers that I am about to share with you. The following are 17 facts that prove the U.S. economy is a complete and total disaster zone at this point... #1 According to the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, more than half of all the storefronts in the entire city of San Francisco are no longer in business. #2 Just a few hours ago, New York City reported that it had an unemployment rate of almost 20 percent during the month of July. #3 Speaking of New York, 83 percent of all restaurants in the city were unable to pay their full rent last month. #4 In 2020, the state of Louisiana has lost twice as many jobs as it did after Hurricane Katrina. By the way, many are concerned that Hurricane Laura could soon become a similar monster storm. #5 In the state of South Carolina, an eye-popping 52 percent of all renters "are at risk of eviction". #6 Americans now owe more than 21 billion dollars in unpaid rent. #7 Overall, 27 percent of all Americans did not make their rent or mortgage payment last month. #8 According to the Mortgage Bankers Association, the delinquency rate on residential mortgages increased by 386 basis points last quarter. That was the most rapid rise that we have ever seen by a very wide margin. #9 U.S. bankruptcies are already at their highest level in 10 years and they are expected to surge dramatically as we approach the end of this calendar year. #10 For companies with more than 1 billion dollars in assets, it is being projected that there will be a record number of bankruptcies in 2020. #11 World trade plunged to the "lowest levels on record" during the month of June. #12 The percentage of hotel mortgages that are 30 or more days delinquent soared to a whopping 23.4 percent last month. #13 American Airlines just announced that they will be eliminating 19,000 jobs next month. #14 31 percent of U.S. workers that were brought back to work after being laid off during the early stages of this pandemic have been laid off a second time, and another 26 percent have been told that layoffs may be coming soon. #15 According to one recent survey, about half of all U.S. workers that have been laid off during this pandemic believe that their jobs losses are permanent. #16 The IRS is projecting that it will receive 37 million fewer W-2 forms for this year than originally anticipated. #17 Over the last 22 weeks, more than 57 million Americans have filed new claims for unemployment benefits. In all of U.S. history, we have never seen anything that is even worth comparing to this. Many of the numbers in that list are so catastrophic that it is difficult to believe that they are actually true. What we experienced back in 2008 and 2009 was a "deep recession", but what we are experiencing now is so much worse. And at this point even the mainstream media is admitting that this new downturn will be with us for a long time. For example, the following comes from a CNN article entitled "We'll be stuck in this economic slump for years, economists say"... America remains in a deep downturn and is running a serious risk of a worsening recession that will last at least another year, economists warned Monday. About half of the National Association of Business Economics members expect US gross domestic product - the broadest measure of the economy - won't return to its pre-pandemic level until 2022. A majority of those experts also say the US job market will be back to its February level in 2022 at the earliest. Unfortunately, those projections are actually way too optimistic. Industry after industry is in the process of unraveling, major economic bubbles are bursting all around us, and the economic pain that is on the horizon is going to dwarf what we are going through at this moment. The mainstream media admits that a "collapse" has happened, but they still believe that eventually things will turn around and get back to where they were before. And there are some people out there that actually believe that America's greatest days of economic prosperity are still ahead of us. You can go ahead and believe that if you want, and I definitely understand that many people would prefer to be optimistic about the future. But sticking our heads in the sand won't make the facts go away. It has taken decades of catastrophic decisions to get us to this point, and anyone that thinks we can just snap our fingers and turn things around is just being delusional. Daily Jot: Convention truth and lies - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com The mainstream news media is demonstrating for all to see its bias and blatant advocacy for socialism and the Democratic Party. The coverage of the Republican National Convention is a disgrace to the First Amendment. Case in point is the vanguard of fake news, CNN. The network didn't do much fact checking during the Democratic National Convention last week, but is running on so-called "fact check" overtime during the Republican convention. Many of CNN's facts also need to be checked because the facts they are often using are twisted to hold just barely enough truth to justify saying the GOP team is not accurate. CNN is fact checking from a political left-leaning lens. They admit it. Remember New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's brother Chris? The one who CNN positioned as a selfless husband and father quarantining in his basement with COVID 19, but was actually found on Easter Sunday breaking his state-ordered quarantine and getting into a confrontation with a cyclist? Chris Cuomo, wrapping up CNN's Monday night coverage of the GOP convention, defended CNN's disproportionate fact checking of Republicans. Cuomo contended that CNN didn't fact check the Democratic Convention so much because Democrats don't lie. Cuomo said that Republicans lie, especially Donald Trump, so CNN had to fact check the GOP convention so people will know who to believe. Cuomo said, "[A]gain, well, who are people going to believe? We'll see who makes the better case. And yeah, you can fact-check it to death. We could fact-check this convention all night. People were saying you didn't fact-check the Democrats. They are not lying, the way Trump does. Do politicians lie? Of course, both parties engage in it. Yes, I'll give you the full 'Guilfoyle.' But not like Donald Trump. Nobody lies the way this man does, has, and will that I've ever seen in politics. So - he's lying to you." So, according to Cuomo's logic, anytime a Republican, especially Donald Trump, opens their mouth to speak, they are lying. This is unmitigated bias by Cuomo and CNN masquerading as news media. I recall a comment by some reporter that the President and people around him during the convention segments were not practicing safe "social distancing." This reporter was making some sort of issue out of it. Fact is, which the reporter didn't bother to check, everyone getting remotely close to the President or his team are COVID tested and the results are provided that very day. Another socialist media whine is about the "controversy" over President Trump using the White House for campaign purposes. It is only a controversy because the media is making it one. President Ronald Reagan made his announcement to run for reelection from the Oval Office. So Trump's speech Thursday is not a precedent. So many lies by the media, so little time to fact check all of them. As in Isaiah 59:14, "truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter." Daily Devotion: A House in Heaven - by Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies. -1 Corinthians 15:53 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/a-house-in-heaven/ - Listen Someone once asked Billy Graham what the greatest surprise of his life had been. He responded, "The brevity of it." As you get older, it seems as though life goes by more quickly. In fact, one study revealed the reason for that, noting that when you're young, you like adventure. You like to try new things. But when you're older, you get into routines. For instance, you like to go to the same restaurant, sit in the same spot, and order the same thing. Yes, life goes by quickly, but the good news is that we'll have new bodies in Heaven. And they'll be amazing. We all like stories about someone discovering they have superpowers, like Spider-Man, Superman, and Wonder Woman. They have superhuman strength. They can do all kinds of amazing things. Well, we're going to have superpowers, if you will, in the new body that God will give us. It will still be us. We'll just be the radically upgraded version of ourselves. Our resurrection bodies will be like the resurrection body of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us in 1 John 3:2, "Dear friends, we are already God's children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is" (NLT). And Paul wrote, "For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands" (NLT). Although our bodies wear out like a tent (and tents are not meant to last forever), God will resurrect them, and our souls will live forever. FROM THE HEART

"Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey 1) We need your prayers!- We proclaim the Truth of the Word of God and we are under constant spiritual and sometimes even physical attack. 2) We need your encouragement!- We need to hear from you, let us know how the Lord is blessing you through this ministry so that we can share it with others. 3) We need your input! - If you have a prophetic article or story or if there is a news related item we missed, let us know. 4) We need your financial support!- To put it quite simply, without your support, there would be no Prophecy Update.
