Dark Rivers of the Heart - Pete Garcia - http://www.omegaletter.com/articles/articles.asp?ArticleID=8302
"The heart IS deceitful above all things. And desperately wicked; Who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9 Two of the most tragic deceptions ever foisted upon mankind, is that a) it's not our fault, and b) that we can fix ourselves. In fact, every belief system outside of the true Christian faith to one degree or another, plays off one or the other. The Christian faith however, lays the blame solely on our sin nature and on our inability to fix ourselves, by ourselves...which is why the world hates Christianity and to an even greater degree, Jesus Christ. When Jesus began His ministry at the age of 30, He began to challenge the religious and moral authorities of His time. He stated that adultery wasn't just the actual physical act itself, but that the intentions of the heart were equally culpable. Murder wasn't just the act itself, but equally damning, was the seed of hate that first takes root in the human heart. Likewise, it wasn't what a man put into his mouth that corrupted him, but what came out because that came from the heart, and the heart was corrupted. In other words, Christ had the audacity to call sin for what it was, a heart problem, and the Pharisees and the Sadducees killed Him for it. They killed Him because it removed our ability to remedy the sin situation through religious piety, which was their livelihood. Assessment Each of us (myself included), are flawed, and miserable creatures outside of God's redemptive grace and mercy. We start off in a state of untested innocence, not understanding the ways of the world. As we grow up, we start off with high aspirations of becoming something grand and noble. Most of us end up becoming something we never intended, but whether we reach our goals, or we settle for something else, we all struggle with the inner 'man', because the inner man cannot find peace in the prospective paths we go. While money, wealth, power, sex, drugs, pleasure, etc., might make our time here on earth more enjoyable, they cannot fill the void in our hearts...which yearns to be redeemed and reconciled by our Creator. But whether we find success, failure, or simply compromise, in the end, the world will have what's due it, and will find a way to corrupt us. It is in our misunderstanding of sin, that we mischaracterize the nature of it. Pride is the heavy weight of all sins, and it affects everyone to one degree or another. We might think that no matter how bad we have it...at least we aren't like so and so over there. It was pride that first corrupted Lucifer, the chief of all creation prior to mankind, who thought he deserved a promotion. (Isaiah 14:12-21; Ezekiel 28:11-19) Even though pride affects us all, the successful are far more susceptible to its damning charms. These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren. Proverbs 6:16-19 So egregious is the severity of the nature of our sinful state that God has done everything within His power in accordance with His mandate of our freewill to prevent us from dying in our sins. He removed Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden to ever prevent them from eating from the Tree of Life while in a state of sinfulness. He did this because that is the same condition that those who die in sins find themselves in once they enter eternity. Always dying but never able to die. As Paul put it in 2 Thessalonians 1:9, that these shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power. Everlasting means forever, while destruction is associated with a onetime event...such as a building being destroyed. It's only destroyed once unless it's rebuilt. But something that is being eternally destroyed is constantly being in a state of destruction. This makes me wonder if perhaps, this is why Satan introduces the Nephilim into the world through the intermingling of the fallen angels with human women, not only so he could corrupt mankind genetically, but also, to create beings who were powerful enough to get back into the garden so that man could have access to the Tree of Life again and be doomed forever? Then the Lord God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever"- therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life. Gen. 3:22-24 Conclusion So let us set aside all pretenses and admit something upfront...we all struggle with sin. I struggle with mine, and you with yours. We all have a tendency to go through seasons if you will, of when we seemingly have it altogether...and at other times, not so much. A good analogy would be to say that as born again believers each of our paths in life takes us up-stream in a world that is flowing in the other direction towards a water fall, which spills over the rocks of eternity, into the lake of fire. Were it not for Christ's redemptive work on the Cross of Calvary, we would all be heading there. But, as Christians, we trudge along, and often, we slip and go under. Either we are trying to get up and work our way back to fellowship with God, or we allow ourselves to be carried along with the undercurrents of this dark river. Admittedly, it is much easier to allow the river to simply carry us in the direction it wants to take us and we needn't do anything but allow the comforting dark waters carry us where it wants to take us. But while the waters are calm on the surface, the undertow is vicious and unforgiven. What that means for believers, is that we are tethered to God the Father through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and the permanent sealing by the Holy Spirit. (1 Cor. 5:19-21; Eph. 1:11-14, 4:30) So we couldn't go over the waterfall, but that's not to say, we couldn't be carried downstream and bounce off some rocks along the way. That was never God's intention. We know that in our flesh, we are weak. In Paul's flesh, he was weak. So if he was weak, I'm pretty sure I am (and you) are going to struggle along the way. For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin. For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. Romans 7:14-20 So man is made up of three parts; body, soul, and spirit. (1 Thess. 5:23) The spirit, when revived through salvation, is brought to life. But the spirit is still encased in this body (the tent), we inhabit while in this existence. The soul then (the heart/mind) is that which becomes the battle ground for which is carried out, the actions of the flesh. This is what Christ pinpointed as the problem. Where salvation through Jesus Christ corrects the spirit, by reviving that which was dead, sanctification, is where man seeks to reconcile his fellowship with God. We can't add one iota to our salvation through our works (Hebrews 10:10-14), but our works become instrumental in what we do (or don't do) for God while in this life. (Titus 3:1-8; 1 Cor. 3:9-15) So let us not make the mistake of confusing our works because of salvation, for the gift of salvation. If saved, our salvation is secure in Christ's finished work on the cross. But as the river analogy goes, we aren't built to stay where we were, but to move forward against the flow, and to press onward toward the prize (Phil. 3:14). Ultimately, all believers have one goal in life, and that is till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head-Christ- (Eph. 4:13-15) This then becomes are aim while in this life. We aim to be Christ-like, not trusting in our flesh to accomplish anything, but resting in His finished work, which makes our struggle moving up stream, more of holding on to that tether, rather than walking in our own power. But that is for this life. For the next, we have the threefold reasons why we must be changed when we are brought back to God through the Rapture. The Church is being built by Christ, for a specific purpose, and is not destined for God's wrath, thus, is excluded from the time and the place of the 70th Week of Daniel...all seven years of it. (Rev. 3:10, 1 Thess. 1:10, 5:9, John 14:1-3) When God the Father triggers the time for judgment, He recalls the Holy Spirit, who brings with Him, those He has sealed. (2 Thess. 2:7-8; Eph. 4:30; 2 Cor. 1:21-22) Remember, the removal of the Holy Spirit doesn't mean that He still can't be here working, only that His mission has changed. Much the same way that in Acts. 2, the Holy Spirit was given...even though the Holy Spirit was very much active on earth prior to the day of Pentecost. The Rapture is meant to purify the Church, the bride of Christ, through physical transformation of both the living and the dead. The living are transformed from mortal, to immortal, and the dead, are transformed from being bodily naked, to being given their permanent bodies. (2 Cor. 5:1-5) So be of good cheer as we navigate the dark waters of our hearts, and of this world. You do not walk alone. We need not lean on our own understanding, or in our own efforts, but in Christ's. He has done all the heavy lifting (yoke easy, burden light), and we simply need to trust that He is able to save us to the uttermost, and to watch, and wait Him to return, as promised. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed-in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." "O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?" The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. Maranatha! Was Israel's satellite sabotaged on US rocket pad? - http://www.debka.com/article/25649/Was-Israel's-satellite-sabotaged-on-US-rocket-pad-
A day after Israel's Amos-6 communications satellite was lost in a highly unusual explosion/fast fire of the SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket and its Amos 6 satellite payload at Cape Canaveral, some Israel aerospace industry experts are beginning to suspect sabotage. They are keeping their suspicions to themselves pending an investigation in which NASA and the US Air Force will be taking part. An explosion or fire occurring during a standard pre-launch static test prior to the engine igniting may be unique. These Israeli experts can't recall any space satellite disasters happening at that particular stage. Immediately after the event, SpaceX founder Elon Musk said an "anomaly happened around the upper-stage oxygen tank wile propellant was being loaded into the vehicle." Two days later, Saturday, Sept. 3, Musk attributed the loss to a "fast fire" rather than an explosion. Representatives of Spacecom owned by Israeli Eurocom and Israeli Aerospace Industry, which manufactured Amos 6, their largest satellite to date, don't expect to be invited to take part in the investigation. Those circles resent Elon Musk's reference to an "anomaly," which they see as a euphemism to disguise the cause of the mishap. American experts are speculating about a large, black. unidentified object picked up by video footage hovering in the sky at the moment the fireball rose over the Cape Canaveral launching pad. Some are suggesting it was a large bird which happened to be flying past; others say the object is much too big and too fast for any known bird. In Israel, some informed sources suggest that the reason for the Amos 6 satellites destruction is far from technical and may never come to light. They cite the only previous SpaceX failure, which occurred in June, 2015, when a Falcon 9 rocket carrying supplies to the International Space Station exploded just a few minutes after launch. The company set up an inquiry team composed of 11 staff members and one FAA official, but never released details of its findings. Three causes for the Amos 6 loss are postulated by Israeli sources: 1. The stiff competition among the companies of the eight nations that manufacture satellites. The last in the Amos series of communications satellites, produced at a cost of $200 million, was the most sophisticated produced so far. Some international competitor may have decided to push Israel out of the contest by destroying its newest product. This has indeed set Israel's satellite industry back for years. 2. The other motive may be connected with the fact that Amos 6 was to have been Facebook's first satellite. CEO Mark Zuckerberg had announced that Amos 6, scheduled for launch into geostationary orbit on Sept. 3, would have opened large parts of sub-Saharan Africa to direct internet. Its loss has forced Zuckerberg to put his plan on hold. This plan went well with the largely covert Israel drive in the last three years to expand its ties across the Africa. The Facebook project fitted in well this policy an added dimension and spurt. 3. Spacom had just signed a $285 sale contract with Beijing Xinwei Technology that was contingent on its successful launch into orbit of Amos 6 Saturday. One of Israel's competitors may have been after the Chinese contract. End-times geopolitics revolving around Turkey - http://www.wnd.com/2016/09/end-times-geopolitics-revolving-around-turkey/?cat_orig=world
Military advances, new partnership with Russia all raising fears Only weeks after an attempted coup threatened his rule, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is on the move both militarily and diplomatically. Turkish forces are continuing their offensive against American-backed Kurdish forces. And the West is reeling from Turkey's sudden rapprochement with Russia. Now experts in prophecy warn the continued rise of Turkey and Erdogan has ominous eschatological implications. Erdogan's position is stronger than ever following the failed coup, with his approval ratings reaching new highs. In fact, the Turkish president has benefited so much from the abortive attempt to overthrow him many observers suspect he staged the entire thing as a false flag operation. Tensions between the United States and Turkey, a NATO ally, continue to increase. The United States is reportedly transferring nuclear weapons out of Turkey in order to safeguard American control. Despite increasingly desperate American pleading, the United States has thus far been unable to stop Turkey's war against the Syrian Kurds. And though serious tensions remain between Turkey and Russia, the limited partnership between the two powers, whatever economic benefits to both nations exist, weakens American influence in the Middle East. For experts in prophecy, Russian and Turkish policies have long been of urgent interest. Carl Gallups, author of "Be Thou Prepared," and the upcoming "When the Lion Roars: Understanding the Implications of Ancient Prophecies for Our Time," says the healing of the Russo-Turkish rift is desirable on the surface, but some of the relevant interpretations of Scripture are cause for concern. "Those who know the prophecies of Ezekiel 38 are aware of a very pointed declaration that in the last days, in the days of a miraculously returned Israel, Magog (many have believed to be Russia) would join with Persia (modern day Iran) and string several other nations along with them - for the purpose of attacking Israel," Gallups explained. "The prophecies say the attack upon Israel will 'come from the North.' Turkey lies directly north of Israel. Additionally, a number of prophecy experts believe (based upon a large body of biblical and historical evidence) that Turkey itself could actually be the Magog (perhaps even in alliance with Russia) spoken of in Ezekiel 38. "We know that lately Russia and Iran have been dramatically strengthening ties. The two nations have been standing together against ISIS in the Syrian civil war. Of course it is also Iran that has continually breathed out direct and very public threats of utterly destroying Israel, especially once Iran develops deliverable nuclear weapons. And, it is no secret that Russia has a history of nuclear involvement with Iran." Indeed, the lessening of tensions between Russia and Turkey was especially surprising to many observers because of the longstanding rivalry between Shiite Iran and Sunni Turkey. Russia is a longstanding Iranian ally. Recently, Russia admitted it deployed strategic bombers and fighter bombers in Iran. With the newfound Russian-Turkish partnership, Putin's junior partner Iran and its onetime enemy Turkey are also working together to a limited extent. "A growing number of prophecy experts see the very real possibility that Turkey will be directly involved in this biblical prediction of a cataclysmic and northern assault upon the 'unsuspecting' land of a prophetically returned Israel," argued Gallups. "With that understanding, this latest attempt by Turkey and Russia to firm up an alliance has a particularly ominous eschatological ring to it. Especially given all the other factors of the current Middle East unrest - including China's presence in Syria, connected by a military alliance with Russia." However, Joel Richardson, the author of the New York Times bestseller "The Islamic Antichrist," says the truth is more banal. He dismissed the idea the Russo-Turkish partnership is the precursor to the Battle of Gog and Magog. "This is simply a partial reconciliation made out of economic necessity," he explained "Russia's economy relies heavily on natural gas and oil exports. Turkey controls the Bosporus, and thus Russia's access to the Mediterranean Sea. Thus, despite all of Putin's chest thumping after Turkey shot down a Russian military jet, Russia needs Turkish cooperation. "Likewise, Turkey relies heavily on the millions of Russian tourists who come to Turkey each year to enjoy the beautiful coasts. After Turkey shot down Russia jet and [the] president refused to apologize, Putin imposes stiff sanctions, and the lack of Russian tourism hit Turkey's economy hard. Thus, despite all of the warm and fuzzy speeches about reconciliation, Russia and Turkey have simply returned to a shallow friendship of convenience for both of them." But while Richardson is relatively sanguine about the partnership between Turkey and Russia, he remains deeply concerned about the growing ambitions of Turkish president Erdogan, whom he has in the past compared to Adolf Hitler. And the host of "The Coming Battle for Jerusalem" says the West has remained complacent for far too long about what he calls the "rise of a deeply nationalist-Islamist dictatorship in Turkey." "This is precisely what I have been warning of for well over twelve years now," Richardson exclaimed. "This is a nation that until recently been considered an ally of the United States and is a fellow member of NATO. After having suspended the constitution and purging tens of thousands of alleged coup plotters from every nook and cranny of both the government and the general public, Turkey has experienced a revolution. Whether we are comparing this to the Iranian Islamic revolution of 1979 or Hitler's 'Night of Long Knives,' the analogies are merited." Richardson has a great deal of experience in covering the Middle Eastern street and chronicled the growing extremism in Turkey in his documentary "End Times Eyewitness." As he sees Turkey descending into dictatorship, he bemoaned yet another example of the short-sighted nature of American foreign policy. "The U.S. has a long history of creating its enemies of tomorrow today. We helped create the Taliban to fight against Russia. Then we went to war with them. We helped create Saddam Hussein. Then we went to war with him. For the past twenty years, the U.S. has been getting behind Turkey's seemingly moderate Islamic movement. The great red dragon that is emerging however is not one that will likely be overcome as easily as Saddam Hussein. "In the long term, what is emerging in Turkey will continue to be a massive foreign policy conundrum that is going to require any future American administration a profound level of wisdom and skill to navigate. In the short term, the roughly 100,000 Iranian backed militia in Iraq is a far greater concern. With Iran stepping up its presence in the region - another event that I have been predicting for some time - a clash between Turkey and Iran is increasingly becoming a very real possibility." Richardson contends events are moving toward the end times, but thinks a conflict between Iran and Turkey is the more likely short term outcome than a grand alliance against Israel. "Is all of this aligning with the words of the biblical prophets?" he asks. "Absolutely. It's just not aligning in quite the way that many have wrongly assumed." While Gallups views events differently, he also believes Turkey is the most critical geopolitical actor from a geopolitical perspective. "Many who are serious prophecy watchers have been saying for years, 'Watch Turkey for a dramatic last days coming together of scriptural declarations,'" he recalled. "Over these years, we have often been discounted - because, after all, Turkey was one of our strongest 'democratic' allies in the Middle East. How could it be that Turkey might play into a dramatic assault upon Israel, our other strong democratic Middle Eastern ally? "But now look! Turkey, under Erdogan, is quickly becoming an Islamic caliphate with dreams of becoming, once again, the hub of Middle Eastern Islamic power - a resurrected Ottoman Empire if you will." Ergodon has long appealed to the people of lands that historically were in the Ottoman Empire to legitimize his rule and imperial ambitions. And Gallups argues the dramatic events gripping the Middle East today should serve as an alarm bell for Christians. "The Bible clearly declares that the last days would be marked by the return of Israel, and Israel's possession of Jerusalem. The prophecies also speak of dramatic turmoil in the Middle East, including the horrendous tribulation that would befall Christians in that region in the last days. Those same prophecies speak of Israel being surrounded by nations (all of them just happen to be Islamic today) that will eventually form a coalition and attempt to drive them from the land. We are now watching every bit of that unfolding before us, and we are the first generation to see it happen. "The secular world scoffs at the Word of God, and particularly its passages concerning the prophetic days just before the return of Christ - yet that same secular world, perhaps unknowingly, reports those prophecy fulfillment's in their 24/7 news cycle each week. It's almost as though God will not be mocked." Abbas decries pressure from the US, Russia and the Arab world - By Dov Lieber - http://www.timesofisrael.com/abbas-decries-pressure-from-the-us-russia-and-the-arab-world/
'No one will dictate to us any position,' PA leader says; Palestinian press suggests he's irked by demand to reconcile with Dahlan Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas pushed back against attempts by foreign capitals, including Moscow, Washington and other unnamed Arab capitals, to intervene in internal Palestinians affairs. "Our relations with everyone must be good, but no one will dictate to us any position or idea... Therefore, let us think as Palestinians. I will think about Palestine, not Washington or Moscow," said Abbas Saturday night during a meeting in Ramallah, according to footage aired by the official PA news channel Palestine TV the following day. After mentioning Washington and Moscow, Abbas said he was also tired of "other capitals," apparently in the Arab world, adding that he wouldn't mention them by name in order not to insult them. "Release us from the capitals, and from the money of the capitals and the influence of the capitals. We want to work as Palestinians," said Abbas, who appeared emotional during his statements. Washington is a long-time player in Palestinian politics, and has reportedly been working to set up a meeting between Abbas and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Moscow, which has close ties to Ramallah, has also recently offered to host a meeting between the Palestinian and Israeli leaders. However, Abbas has refused to meet with Netanyahu until Israel agrees to a total freeze of settlement construction and to the release of a fourth batch of Palestinian and Israeli Arab prisoners promised during negotiations in 2014 - conditions Netanyahu is unlikely to agree to. The Palestinian press concentrated on Abbas's mention of the unnamed capitals, which they believed to be a thinly veiled allusion to the so-called Arab Quartet: Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates. According to the Palestinian Ma'an news agency, the Arab quartet met a few days ago with members of Abbas's Fatah party in a bid to "restore unity" in Fatah and subsequently between Fatah and its bitter rival Hamas, the Islamist party in control of the Gaza Strip. Abbas's statements also coincide with a recent push for reconciliation between him and former Fatah strongman Mohammad Dahlan, who was expelled from the Palestinian territories by Abbas in 2011 and currently resides in the UAE. Among the heads of state who have weighed in on Abbas-Dahlan reconciliation are Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, Jordan's King Abdullah, King Salman of Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. As the Palestinians prepare for municipal elections in the West Bank and Gaza in October, candidates linked to Dahlan have avoided running on slates other than those of Fatah, a move seen as a positive step toward reconciliation with Abbas. Inconvenient Truths - By Daymond Duck -
http://raptureready.com/featured/duck/dd243.html There are times when the truth is troublesome and people don't want others to know it. The thing is true, but it doesn't fit the narrative that someone wants to project. For example, there is a long list of unusual deaths and alleged murders of people involved with the Clintons. The list can be found on Bing and Yahoo, but not on Google. Mrs. Clinton is running for president of the United States. Some people might want to know what is on the list before they vote. But it looks like Google doesn't want people to have the information because they are apparently trying to bury it. Another example concerns World Vision. This group calls itself an international Christian organization. It solicits sponsors and works with churches to raise money for humanitarian causes. Its budget is approximately $3 billion dollars a year. Several million dollars of that goes to the terrorist organization called Hamas that runs Gaza. For years, Israel has complained to World Vision that it was helping to fund terrorism by not closely monitoring the money. This was a worrisome truth that World Vision glossed over and denied. In June of 2016, Israel arrested World Vision's Gaza manager. He has been indicted for giving large sums of money to Hamas. On Aug. 23, 2016, the United States urged American citizens to avoid traveling to Gaza. It also urged those that are in Gaza to leave as soon as possible. The warning said, "Gaza is under the control of Hamas, a foreign terrorist organization. The security environment within Gaza and on its borders is dangerous and volatile." On Aug. 27, 2016, Egypt cancelled diplomatic relations with Gaza because Hamas has been working with and protecting ISIS (a group that enslaves and rapes women and children; beheads people; burns people alive in cages, etc.). When sponsors and churches give money to World Vision they should have a clear understanding about how that money will be used. Some of it could go to a terrorist organization to buy knives, guns or rockets to wound and kill innocent Jewish women and children or even innocent United States citizens. Some of it could wind up in the hands of groups working with some of the most evil people on earth. I am sure that World Vision wouldn't want this known, but her sins have found her out. God blesses those who bless Israel and curses those who curse Israel. On July 16, 2016, Israel arrested a UN employee for illegally diverting millions of dollars of UN aid money to Hamas. He is in jail and has identified workers for several other agencies that are doing the same thing. The UN claims their employee has diplomatic immunity. Some of its leaders have asked Israel to release him. But Israel says terrorists that are trying to kill Jewish citizens don't have diplomatic immunity. Could it be that World Vision and the UN are anti-Israel and anti-Jew? It is an inconvenient truth, but the answer is yes. While claiming to be working for the good of humankind they are giving money to a terrorist organization that is diverting some of it to rioting and murder. Sadly, many will depart from the faith at the end of the age. And the UN will morph into a world government that will be led by the Antichrist. He will be anti-Israel, follow Satan and kill multitudes. Prophecy Plus Ministries Daymond & Rachel Duck duck_daymond@yahoo.com ![]()
My Review of "Rapture Ready...Or Not?" Over the last 35 years, I have literally read hundreds of books on Bible Prophecy and End Time signs. I especially enjoy books on the Rapture, and I have read almost every Rapture-related book published. In all those years, devouring thousands of pages, and millions of words, I have not read a better book on the Rapture than, Rapture Ready...Or Not? Terry James might be physically blind, but he is spiritually sharp and well discerning beyond most authors. In "Rapture Ready...Or Not?" Terry has nailed the pre-trib Rapture, and removed any doubt what so ever about the Church going through the Tribulation. With great insight and Godly discernment, Terry explains with simple, yet profound words, why and how that he has come to believe the ways he does about the Rapture, the Tribulation, and the End Times scenario. I think after reading "Rapture Ready...Or Not?" you too will believe as Terry does, and be Ready for the Rapture like never before! - Randy Thomas - Publisher / Editor - Prophecy Update For more information and or to get your copy of "Rapture Ready...Or Not?" use this link: http://www.raptureready.com/terry/book35.html September 30th - Beginning of The End for Free Speech On the Net? - http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=618
The first step toward the global suppression of free speech on the Internet will take place at midnight on September 30, when the Obama administration cedes control of the World Wide Web to foreign interests. L. Gordon Crovitz of The Washington Post has penned two pieces outlining the collision course of American free speech. The first, "Stop Obama's Internet Giveaway" in March, 2016, and a recent follow-up piece called "An Internet Giveaway to the U.N." discuss the potential fallout of not preventing President Obama from allowing a government contract with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to expire. Under Obama's direction, the Commerce Department was charged with ending American oversight and ensure that foreign entities could not make an internet power grab. Crovitz rightly disagrees with that outcome, stating that "because of the (Obama) administration's naiveté or arrogance, U.N. control is the likely result if the U.S. gives up internet stewardship..." Without a U.S. agreement to operate with antitrust exemptions, ICANN would likely seek to be overseen by another agency, organization or foreign power. As a non-profit, the body's rules and regulations are determined by a board and the shift would be a tremendous opportunity for countries that routinely suppress free speech, such as Russia and China, to infiltrate, gain authority and impose their worldviews on a global scale. Likewise, the Obama administration has been no friend to free speech. Government employees in the administration have already been accused of suppressing opposing political views. In particular, the Internal Revenue Service came under scrutiny for targeting conservative political groups and impeding their ability to gain non-profit status before the last presidential election. In a recent article, The Daily Wire charges that "The lobbying for the end of U.S. control of the Internet intensified due to Edward Snowden. After Snowden's leaks of the National Security Agency's government surveillance emerged, ICANN and other foreign governments used the U.S.'s use of surveillance in other countries as reason to end U.S. control of Internet governance." Snowden, a whistleblower, leaked classified information which many viewed as war crimes by the U.S. military to the non-profit journalistic organization WikiLeaks. Snowden has been living as an exile in Russia and has been charged in absentia by the United States under the 1917 Espionage Act for absconding with classified documents. In recent months, WikiLeaks also made a splash by releasing Democratic National Committee communications that suggested the party skewed its dealing against presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. Although shutting down an online organization such as WikiLeaks would run contrary to the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment, countries like Russia and China, among others, may be more inclined to end the dissemination of such sensitive materials. Under a different set of standards, such information could be kept from the public going forward. The Daily Wire goes on to point out that once the U.S. surrenders control over ICANN, "it will likely fall under the (International Telecommunications Unit) ITU's control and risk being subject to censorship." Journalists at both The Daily Wire and Wall Street Journal agree that handing over control could have dangerous ramifications. "Even more chilling is the fact that ITU had passed a treaty that provided 'authority to governments to close off their citizens' access to the global Internet'" and creating 'a digital Iron Curtain.'" Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Wisconsin Sen. Sean Duffy have introduced a bill to stop the shift in internet power and Investor's Business Daily noted as far back as three years ago Cruz was concerned about this day arriving. "The likes of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Chinese President Xi Jinping should not dictate what can be read, written, distributed, bought and sold on the internet," the former presidential candidate wrote. "Countries that do not give their own people the right to speak freely deserve no say in what Americans can say and do on the internet." The Texas senator has also called for potential administrative regulations to prevent opening this Pandora's Box. And even before the clock strikes midnight on U.S. free speech protections, the seeds of China's influence are already being sown. ICANN CEO Fadi Chehadé recently agreed to become a senior advisor to China's World Internet Conference, which is an organization Beijing has developed directly to compete with ICANN. According to The Washington Post, "Its goal is to replace the open Internet with full government control and global censorship." When confronted by Sen. Cruz about China's internet censorship and relationship with ICANN, Chehade appeared to threaten that if the America retains oversight, it "would have grave repercussions on the U.S." Recent studies show that 66 percent of Americans oppose relinquishing control of the internet and 69 percent say that it's either "somewhat" or "very likely" that a country like China, Russia or Iran would attempt to seize control. As University of Surrey Prof. Alan Woodward succinctly put it, this is "about who officially controls the foundations of the internet/web addresses and domain names, without which the network wouldn't function." What Does the Jewish Calendar Reveal About the Coming of the Messiah? - By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz - http://www.breakingisraelnews.com
"And He changeth the times and the seasons; He removeth kings, and setteth up kings; He giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding." Daniel 2:21 (The Israel Bible™) A new movement marking the growing ways many Christians are moving closer to their Biblical roots is calling for Christians to switch from the Gregorian calendar to the Hebrew calendar. But though such a move could bring the two Abrahamic religions closer, it may be a source of further conflict. The current year is an expression of when the Messiah is expected to arrive, and when (or whether) he already came - questions the religions have been arguing over for millennia. Pastor Mark Biltz is an outspoken advocate for Christians to change from the Gregorian calendar to the Hebrew calendar used by the Jews, and wrote a bestselling book on the subject. His El Shaddai Ministries has 40,000 followers and its website receives millions of hits from over 40 nations around the world every year. His original interest in the Hebrew calendar came from a fascination with the Biblical festivals, but this led to a difficulty with the Christian interpretation. "Every month has special significance. The problem is most Christians are plucking at planting time and planting at plucking time because they don't know what day it is," Pastor Biltz told Breaking Israel News, giving a practical example of this confusion. "Passover is when Jesus died and Easter is when he was resurrected. Last year, Easter came one month before Passover. How can you celebrate the resurrection before the death?" He gives a powerful reason for using the Hebrew calendar. "It is God's calendar and not man's," stated Pastor Biltz, basing this on a Biblical verse. And God said: "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years." Genesis 1:14 He understands this as the source for the Hebrew calendar being lunisolar, a blend of lunar and solar. The Hebrew month begins with the sighting of the new moon. An extra month is added seven times in a 19-year cycle, ensuring that the holidays remain in their proper seasons. Changing to a Hebrew calendar is not a simple matter. From the start of the year (Rosh Hashana rather than January 1) to the start of the day, the calendars are supremely different. Jews begin their day at sunset, based on the verse in Genesis, causing days to be offset. And there was evening and there was morning, one day. Genesis 1:5 Even the weeks of the calendar are different. The Jewish week is focused on the Sabbath, which begins Friday evening and lasts until Saturday evening. The Christians have their Sabbath on Sunday. In the modern business world, this means that the Israeli work week begins on Sunday, usually with a truncated Friday, while the rest of the world begins their work week on Monday morning. The years are also divided according to different reference points. Christian years are ordered in base ten, packaged as decades and centuries, while the Jews in the land of Israel measure the passage of the years in base seven, with seven shmittah (sabbatical) years adding up to one jubilee every 50 years. The Gregorian calendar is a product of the Catholic Church. Established by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582 by papal decree and used by most Western countries, it is a solar calendar of 365 days, with one day added every fourth year. This ensures that the months correspond to specific seasons. There is no correlation between the date and the phases of the moon. The calendar year is an even deeper conflict. The Gregorian calendar begins in the year of Jesus's birth, whereas Jewish calendar is counted from the year of Creation, though it is not understood as literal by most Jews, who interpret the first days of creation as lasting for potentially millions of years. In an article comparing the Hebrew and Christian calendars, Dr. David Reagan of Lamb and Lion Ministries noted an implication for the Hebrew date, 5776, relevant for both Christians and Jews: the arrival of the Messiah. The Jewish sages taught that the latest possible date for the Messiah to come was at the end of the year 6000, based on the six days of creation followed by the Sabbath. This concept, originally adopted in Christian Apocrypha, faded due to Roman Catholic amillennial teachings, but Dr Reagan cited a recent resurgence. "The turning point came with World War I. It destroyed the concept of postmillennialism which most Protestants had adopted," explained Dr. Reagan. Postmillennialism is the belief that Jesus's second coming will be after a Golden Age in which Christian ethics prosper, as opposed to premillennialism which places the second coming before this prophesied Golden Age. But Pastor Biltz gave an additional, simpler reason for following the Hebrew Calendar: "5777, next year, is very auspicious for the Messiah, so that's the year I go by." And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. -Romans 5:3-4 Years ago I had a friend who was very sick and asked me to pray for him. I did. He got worse. He said, "I don't ever want you to pray for me again." In our estimation, sometimes things go the wrong way. We may pray, "Lord, heal this person. Be glorified through this." But the Lord might say, "I will be glorified, but I'm not going to do it the way you want Me to. I'm going to do this other thing instead." Sometimes God will remove the affliction. Sometimes God will heal the illness. Sometimes God will take away the cancer. But sometimes the person will get worse. We don't usually like that. But it is in these times that God can be glorified. Everyone suffers in life. Christians suffer too. When a Christian is suffering and can still glorify God, that is a powerful testimony to a lost world. When non-Christians see us honoring the Lord through our suffering, it shows them how real our faith is. And guess what? It shows us how real our faith is too. Do you think your faith would get stronger if everything were easy in life? No, your faith will get stronger through hardship. Here's something that might surprise you: You even will develop more hope through tribulation. Romans 5:3-4 says, "But we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope." Hope grows in the garden of pain. It doesn't grow without challenges or difficulty. It grows in hard times. It's sort of like building muscle. You build it up by breaking it down. Then, as you keep working out, that muscle will get stronger. You develop strength through your weaknesses. This is true of Christians in their spiritual lives as well. FROM THE HEART
