When 2020 began, who could have imagined that a virus from China would take us closer to the tribulation? However, COVID-19 has done exactly that. Since the virus first appeared in the United States, the goal line for easing government restrictions, lockdowns, quarantines, and face masks has continually changed. They have gone from flattening the curve, which the CDC said would take two to four weeks, to reduced hospital admissions, to everyone receiving a vaccination, and to Dr. Fauci recently stating that people can return to movie theaters only after the vaccine has been available for an entire year. But will the arrival of a vaccine mark a return to normal? According to Tucker Carlson's August 26th report on The Fox News Channel, the goal line has moved yet again. He quoted the World Health organization (WHO) Director General, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus as stating that finding a vaccine for COVID-19 is not the final goal. No, the ultimate aim is the "reordering of society." He quoted the WHO director as also saying this, "We will not, we cannot go back to the way things were." Dr. Ghebreyesus of the WHO summed it up this way, "The COVID-19 pandemic has given new impetus to the need to accelerate efforts to respond to climate change." Tucker Carlson quoted Bill Gates as saying that the COVID-19 pandemic signifies "that the rest of us will have to sacrifice even more to save the earth from warming." So, what's the connection between the virus and climate control? Tucker Carlson nails it with these words, "both are pretexts for mass social control." This "social control" is paving the way for the coming world government. The global warming alarm and the fear generated by COVID-19 are prepping society for the arrival of the antichrist. THE GREAT RESET IS THE GOAL One need not look any further than to the World Economic Forum (WEF) website to see how the global elite seek to use these "crises" to reorder society for what they call "The Great Reset." Below are a couple of the opening quotes from the "The Great Reset" page of the WEF website. There is an urgent need for global stakeholders to cooperate in simultaneously managing the direct consequences of the COVID-19 crisis. To improve the state of the world, the World Economic Forum is starting The Great Reset initiative. The Covid-19 crisis, and the political, economic and social disruptions it has caused, is fundamentally changing the traditional context for decision-making. The inconsistencies, inadequacies and contradictions of multiple systems -from health and financial to energy and education - are more exposed than ever amidst a global context of concern for lives, livelihoods and the planet. Leaders find themselves at a historic crossroads, managing short-term pressures against medium- and long-term uncertainties. The push for the Great Reset has reached the United Nations. António Guterres, the UN's Secretary-General, added this to the call for the reordering of the world governments on the basis of both the "pandemic" and "climate change:" The Great Reset is a welcome recognition that this human tragedy must be a wake-up call. We must build more equal, inclusive and sustainable economies and societies that are more resilient in the face of pandemics, climate change and the many other global changes we face. COVID-19 and climate change constitute "a wake-up call" for "global changes," which further the need for the Great Reset, the coming world order of the tribulation over which the antichrist will someday rule. The elite who operate the WEF do not hide their intention to use climate change and the virus as the pretext for a one-world government. Peter Koenig wrote this about how COVID-19 is advancing the agenda of the elite toward the one world government, which he calls "the Beast." We have become enslaved to the Beast. The Beast calls the shots on boom or bust of our economies, on who should be shackled by debt, when and where a pandemic should break out, and on the conditions of surviving the pandemic, for example, social confinement. And to top it all off - the instruments the Beast uses, very cleverly, are a tiny-tiny invisible enemy, called a virus, and a huge but also invisible monster, called FEAR. That keeps us off the street, off reunions with our friends, and off our social entertainment, theatre, sports, or a picnic in the park. I find it quire remarkable that although Mr. Koenig does not claim any knowledge of Bible prophecy, he uses the terminology of Daniel and the book of Revelation in describing the kingdom of the antichrist. I provide these quotes to show how climate change and COVID-19 lie behind the push for the Great Reset. We see evidence of this in the United Nations' Agenda 2030, which lists goals for a one world government that it hopes to put in place by 2030. The New Green Deal in the United States mirrors the goals of Agenda 2030 with its agenda for a Marxist totalitarian world order (AKA the Beast). THE CONDITIONING OF SOCIETY FOR THE GREAT RESET How are the elite globalists of our world preparing the world to follow their lead in establishing a Marxist government? Below I list some of the ways they use the coronavirus as well as climate change for their demonic purposes to bring about the Great Reset that will pave the way for the rule of the antichrist during the tribulation. 1. Fear: The first tool in the arsenal of the globalists is fear and they have succeeded in creating a great deal of it both in the United States and throughout the world. They advanced the horrors of climate change for decades, but this alone has not caught the attention of the masses that they had hoped it would do. An abundance of failed predictions along with an army of scientists who now dispute the dire warnings of impending doom have diminished the impact of climate alarm on many people. It consistently ranks low on the lists of concerns for voters. The globalists needed a crisis that would impact everyone in the world and thus COVID-19 arrived on the scene. They still issue dire warnings regarding climate change for those who will listen and buy into that contrived panic. However, the elite have added the coronavirus to their plans to generate the widespread alarm they require to make people willing to accept their demonic Marxist solution for both crises. 2. Deception: To keep the fear thriving throughout the world, the elite need to deceive people and the media have been a willing accomplice to this end. They have greatly inflated the danger of this virus and discounted the success stories of the treatments for this virus. With vastly inflated numbers, they have also kept the dread of the virus alive well past the point where it's reasonable to enforce the wearing of masks and lockdowns. The media's shutting down of all success stories related to the use of hydroxychloroquine in treating the virus in its early stages has added to the death count from this virus as well as to the panic since the great majority do know if its effectiveness. As a result, many people believe the lies they hear and depend on the government to keep them healthy and alive, which is precisely the goal of the globalists as they prepare people for their remedy to the healthcare crisis they have created. 3. Tell people to submit for their own well-being: The combination of fear and the great deception of our time have made vast numbers of people willing to submit to the government, which they now regard as the protector of their health. As a result, they have willingly given up many of their rights and freedoms for the sake of remaining healthy, a trend sure to continue. The New World Order (AKA the beast) cannot exercise its dominion over people apart from their willingness to submit to dictates of a government they trust for their well-being and health. People wear masks without questioning their effectiveness. And, very few pastors stand up against the restriction regarding the freedom of religion imposed on them by socialist governors. I thank the Lord for the courage of John MacArthur in this regard. 4. Lawlessness and violence: Billionaire globalists fund the violence and lawlessness we witness throughout the United States. The result of this will be the exact opposite of what those rioting believe they will accomplish with the fires, vicious attacks on the innocent, and the killing of law enforcement officials. Those behind the Great Reset intend to use the breakdown of law and order to bring about a much more rigid "police state" where those enforcing the rules of the state will pledge loyalty to a tyrannical world government rather than to one's city or state or country. The protests against police cruelty will result in a totalitarian rule where everyone, regardless of race, nationality, or gender will shake in fear at the sight of those enforcing the draconian rules of an all-powerful socialistic government. 5. Establish a need for government control: In order for the elite to achieve their ultimate goal of a one world government, they must convince people of the need for more government control of their lives. This explains their devotion to the contrived climate emergency and why they will not let go of the increased control over our lives that they have achieved through the China virus. President Donald Trump and the United States represent their greatest obstacles in achieving their objective, which is why we see the rioting and the nonstop media lies about our President. In 2016, Trump interrupted their march to world dominance, and they cannot allow for another delay in their effort to convince the world of its need for more government control. Powerful forces in our world, led by the devil himself, seek to put in place a one-world government and they will use everything they can to make it happen. They will not let go of the COVID-19 health "crisis" until they have accomplished their goal to subject the entire world to the slavery of a Marxist regime. THE GOOD NEWS Tucker Carlson was spot on with his assessment of climate change and COVID-19, "both are pretexts for mass social control." The wearing of masks, the bowing of knees to the Black Lives Matter movement, and the vaccines consist of preconditioning people to both receive the mark of the beast during the tribulation and worship the antichrist (Rev. 13:16-18). This is the end game of what Satan seeks to accomplish through the Great Reset. The prophet Daniel, writing 2,600 years ago, wrote about the Great Reset of the WEF. He called it a "beast" with "horns" (Dan. 7:23-25). The apostle John, in Revelation 13, added more details to this beast whom the antichrist will someday personify. He is the "man of lawlessness whom the Lord will destroy at His second coming (2 Thess. 2:3-8). Since God long ago foretold the rise of this beast with the detail that we now see taking shape in our world, we can absolutely trust His Word as to the coming destruction of this beast, both the government and the antichrist who will personify the beast (Dan. 2:44-45; 7:26-27; Rev. 19:17-20:3). Jesus will destroy both at His second coming. For those of us who belong to Christ, the good news of the Gospel is that Jesus will come for us before the start of the tribulation and the culmination of the Satanic plans of the globalists. We do not watch in fear for the Great Reset; but we eagerly await the appearance of our great Savior who take us back to the place He has prepared for us (John 14:1-3). We await our speedy departure from this world to heaven. Yes, the news about our world today is more than a little disconcerting, but our hope is more glorious than we can imagine. Jesus is coming to take us home; we need not buy into the fear of our time. The lawlessness and violence of our day tell us that the prophesied tribulation is ever so near. But before that can happen, we will reside in paradise with Jesus. Proverbs 16:7 (The Israel BibleTM) A historic ceremony was held on the White House lawn on Tuesday: an agreement, brokered by the Trump administration, normalizing relations between Israel and two Arab nations, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, was signed. The agreement, the fulfillment of prophecy, was appropriately named the Abraham Accords. OVERVIEW OF THE ACCORDS The accords were signed in front of a crowd of approximately 800 people by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Bahrain's Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al Zayan. In a manner hinting at the prophesied beating of swords into plowshares, the agreement called for "the further development of friendly relations meets the interests of lasting peace in the Middle East and that challenges can only be effectively addressed by cooperation and not by conflict." This would be accomplished through "diplomatic engagement, increased economic cooperation and other close coordination." The agreement explained the Biblical roots of the name: "Recognizing that the Arab and Jewish peoples are descendants of a common ancestor, Abraham, and inspired, in that spirit, to foster in the Middle East a reality in which Muslims, Jews, Christians and peoples of all faiths, denominations, beliefs and nationalities live in, and are committed to, a spirit of coexistence, mutual understanding and mutual respect..." The nations agreed to establish embassies, though it is unclear whether the UAE and Bahrain will locate theirs in Jerusalem. Much of the agreement was based on economic cooperation and interaction with the accords specifying finance and investment, civil aviation, visas and consular services, innovation, trade, and economic relations. The accords open the doors to bilateral tourism. This is highly attractive to the Arab nations as several significant sites considered holy to Islam are located in Israel. The accords also specified joint efforts to combat terrorism, stating that the countries will "take the necessary steps to prevent any terrorist or hostile activities against each other on or from their respective territories, as well as deny any support for such activities abroad or allowing such support on or from their respective territories." PALESTINIANS/JUDEA AND SAMARIA The accords referred to the issue of the conflict between the Palestinians and Israel, stating that the countries were "committed to working together to realize a negotiated solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that meets the legitimate needs and aspirations of both peoples, and to advance comprehensive Middle East peace, stability and prosperity." The accords did not mention land or territories in reference to a solution for peace with the Palestinians. This may be significant or not and will only become clear in the future. A LOOK FORWARD: NINE MORE COUNTRIES TO MAKE PEACE WITH ISRAEL During the media conference after the signing, President Trump told reporters that additional peace deals are in the works with eight or nine countries. "We have many other countries going to be joining us, and they're going to be joining us soon. We'll have I think seven or eight or nine. We're going to have a lot of other countries joining us, including the big ones. We already have the big one, but including the big ones," Trump said. Israel 365 News managing editor David Sidman conjectured that the "big one", what Sidman referred to as "the elephant in the room", would be Saudi Arabia, the head of the Sunni Muslim world and a close ally of the US. "At the right time, I do think they will come in," Trump said, referring to Saudi Arabia. "This is a very big and very historic moment, and I think everyone agrees to that. But we'll have other countries coming in fairly rapidly." ISRAEL365 NEWS INTERVIEWED FORMER ISRAEL AMBASSADOR TO THE US Before the signing, Israel365 News covered the event, interviewing Michael Oren who served as the Israeli Ambassador to the US during the difficult years of the Obama administration. Oren described the accords as a "stunning diplomatic breakthrough." "It upends all the political assumptions going back over 30 years," Oren said, noting that the peace agreement with Egypt required Israel to relinquish the entire Sinai Peninsula. "The notion of territory for peace has been hardwired into the process for 70 years. We didn't give up a single millimeter of Eretz Yisrael (land of Israel) for this peace agreement." "Also, for all this time people have been claiming that the core conflict in the Middle East was the Palestinian conflict," Oren added. "And that the core of the Palestinian-Israeli was Jerusalem and the settlements. All that has been dispelled by these agreements." "Beyond that it is an enormous economic, financial,and strategic accomplishment. It is the wedding of the most innovative country in the world with two of the wealthiest countries in the world. That wedding can be transformative, not just for the Middle East but for the entire world." "It also allows Israel and these moderate Arab countries to establish a strategic alliance against Iran, on one hand, and against Turkey, on the other. These Arab states were put in a bind with the Shiite Islamic Republic of Iran and the radical Sunni state of Turkey which is allied with Hamas and other Jihadists which are threatening these regimes almost as much as they are threatening us.So we have a natural alliance with them. So they concluded that there was on other power in the Middle East that not only did not threaten them but was able to strengthen their defense." Oren noted that the US played "a very interesting role", noting that the Trump administration's rejection of the Obama-brokered deal with Iran increased the US's leverage to negotiate. "If America went back to the Iran deal, it would stop the peace process dead," Oren said. He noted that the nature of the Abraham Accords could be seen by in the embassies in Jordan and Egypt where, despite the peace agreements with Israel, the Israeli diplomats live under constant threat. In Bahrain and the UAE, diplomats are not under threat. PROPHETIC BASIS FOR ACCORDS Israel365 feature articles reporter Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz was asked during the broadcast what he saw as the prophetic implications of the Abrahama Accords. "It's all Biblical," Berkowitz said. "This is not only a hugely historic event but it is also incredibly prophetic. We're seeing a period of peace focused on Jerusalem, the city of peace. This was the condition that preceded the building of Solomon's Temple. He built the First Temple out of peace and not out of war." Berkowitz also noted that according to Jewish tradition, the Bnei Yishmael (sons of Ishmael) are destined to repent in the end of days. He cited a verse in Genesis. His sons Yitzchak and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron son of Zohar the Hittite, facing Mamre Genesis 25:9 "We are seeing a reconciliation between Yishmael and Isaac," Berkowitz said. He explained that according to Jewish tradition, Ishmael should have gone first since he is the older brother. By allowing him to go first, Ishmael is acknowledging the spiritual superiority of Isaac. "The Abraham Accords is not peace," Berkowitz noted. It is normalization. It is a meeting of brothers, as in the prophecy, with the Arabs recognizing the worth of Isaac." SANCTIFIED WITH PRAYER Jews are required to pray the afternoon prayers before the sun sets and, as the timing would have it, there were approximately 20 religiously observant Jews on hand after the event, which included h US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, the president's son-in-law Jared Kushner, and many of those responsible for the negotiations. The worshipers wore masks and observed social distancing. MEDIA AND DEMOCRAT PARTY LEADERS SNUB THE HISTORIC EVENT The media's ambivalence to this historic event was shocking. As three nations joined together in peace, CNN focused on the lack of social distancing, reporting the event under the headline, "White House largely disregards coronavirus precautions during Abraham Accords signing." The New York Times focused on the event's impact on regional peace but with a decidedly lackluster headline reading, "Trump Hosts Israel, U.A.E. and Bahrain at White House Signing Ceremony" and the subhead, "President Trump said the agreements to normalize relations marked 'the dawn of a new Middle East,' but some analysts said his claims were overblown." The lead paragraph noted that the tri-nation agreement was unacceptable as it "failed to address the future of the Palestinians." Ironically, the article compared Tuesday's event to the signing of the Oslo accords in the same place 27 years ago. At that event, Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin agreed to give money, weapons, and land to PLO chieftain Yasser Arafat. The NYT attempted to claim that the Oslo accords that have resulted in almost non-stop terrorist attacks was a far greater achievement than the signing of the Abraham Accords which "lacked the feeling ... that something both psychically and historically profound was taking place at the White House." NPR downplayed the significance in an article titled, "Abraham Accords Fall Short Of Becoming 'The Deal Of The Century." The audio-article disparaged the Abraham accords for two shortcomings. "Initially, the White House was trying to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with the, quote, 'deal of the century'," Michelle Keleman said. "But the Palestinians were not among those signing the so-called Abraham Accords today." "Neither Bahrain nor the United Arab Emirates were at war with Israel," she added. "They had been working quietly together to counter Iran." It should be noted that the White House invited a large number of politicians from the Democratic party but in a tragically ironic statement about the schism in US politics, none of the party leaders attended the event that brought together three nations in peace. A LOOK BACK: THE BOMB THAT FAILED TO EXPLODE In his speech at the event, President Trump was overflowing with optimism: "We're here this afternoon to change the course of history. After decades of division and conflict we mark the dawn of a new Middle East," he said. An article in WND noted that when President Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital, some predicted this would be the spark that would set off a war in the region. In 2017, former secretary of state John Kerry predicted that moving the embassy would enrage all the Arab nations. "You'd have an explosion - an absolute explosion in the region, not just in the West Bank and perhaps even in Israel itself, but throughout the region," he warned. "The Arab world has enormous interest in the Haram al-Sharif, as it is called, the Temple Mount, the Dome [of the Rock], and it is a holy site for the Arab world." Robin Wright wrote in the New Yorker: "President Trump threw a diplomatic bomb into the Middle East peace process with his twin decisions to formally recognize Jerusalem." PALESTINIAN REACTION TO PEACE: ROCKETS While the ceremony played out in Washington, Color Red sirens went off in southern Israel as a barrage of 15 rockets was fired from Gaza. Eight rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome system. 13 Israelis were injured in the rocket attacks. One man in his 60s was hit by shrapnel. He is in critical but stable condition. In response, the Israeli Air Force launched ten airstrikes, hitting Hamas targets in Gaza including a weapons and explosives manufacturing factory and a military compound. A tunnel was also reportedly destroyed in the IAF strikes. No Palestinian casualties were reported. "I'm not surprised that the Palestinian terrorists fired at Israel precisely during this historic ceremony," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said from Washington. "They want to turn back the peace. In that, they will not succeed," he told reporters. "We will strike at all those who raise a hand to harm us, and we will reach out to all those who extend the hand of peace to us." Though the rocket fire came from Gaza, the Palestinian government in Ramallah expressed support for the attack. Monir al-Jaghoub, who heads Fatah's Information Department in the Office of Mobilization and Organization, said in a statement: "A question to the United States of America, Israel, Bahrain and the UAE: Will the signing of the normalization agreement at the White House now prevent these missiles from leaving Gaza tonight to Israel? Peace begins in Palestine and war begins in Palestine." It was reported last month that Hamas and Israel had achieved a ceasefire agreement concerning rockets and aerial incendiary devices. Two Cautions for the President - By Terry James - https://www.raptureready.com/2020/09/16/two-cautions-for-the-president-by-terry-james/ Each succeeding week that produces fodder for another commentary brings with it the thought that things couldn't be more in place for setting in motion the Tribulation. The perception is always proved wrong. This week is no different; prophecy stage-setting is still ramping up. While many issues and events we explore seem at the moment to be critical in setting the stage for fulfillment of Bible prophecy, they most often turn out to be peripheral to the most crucial signals. The things developing now, however, are anything but minor. Israel and the peace process can never be seen as a subject that's on the outer edges of Bible prophecy. And what we're seeing now certainly must be considered as profound a sign as any of where we stand on God's prophetic timeline. With all else that's going on in this nation (which, by the way, is overtly omitted by name in biblical prophecy), we see the strangest presidency of our history at the very heart of astonishing prophetic stage-setting. And who can deny that this president moves the needle on history's tachometer each and every news cycle? Never has President Trump been as instrumental in so moving that needle as this past week or so. It's as if the engine of biblical eschatology has revved once again to near max. I see this as a matter to be viewed as seriously as any we've yet seen-i.e., it seems to take us as near Christ's call to His Church as any movement we've known. With President Trump's acting as an instrument of such profound prophetic movement comes danger, however. It's a danger that we all should recognize. The peace currently being brokered by the Trump administration between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) presents one of the two areas of danger about which the president must be cautioned. The statement by his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to reporters frames one of the dangers. Kushner said recently: "We were trying to save the two-state solution... If we kept going with the status quo... ultimately, Israel would have eaten up all the land in the West Bank." Kushner, husband of Trump's daughter, Ivanka, is a Jew who apparently has little knowledge of, or else not much regard for, God's promises to His chosen people. The Lord gave the Jews all the Land of Promise, including all the land in the West Bank. Mr. Kushner acts as if this is negotiable. In God's view, no area of land He gave Israel is negotiable. There is no room whatsoever for a "two-state solution to any problem Israel's surrounding neighbors have in failing to be at peace with the Jewish State. Here are the Almighty's words on the matter: And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you. And I will give to you and to your descendants after you, the land of your sojourning, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. (Genesis 17:7-8) I would urge men with Holy Spirit-provided savvy regarding Bible prophecy, such as Dr. Robert Jeffress, who have the president's ear to counsel Mr. Trump about this promise and the serious consequences of attempting to interfere-whether wittingly or not-with that covenant. Here is what God's prophet, Joel, foretold more than two thousand years ago regarding the fate the nations of the world will suffer for doing exactly what this administration is trying to do. We've looked at it many times. I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. (Joel 3:2) This of course speaks of Armageddon, the killing field where the rebellious armies of the world will be slaughtered. The second of the cautions I put forth here to this president-whom I very much support in most every way-concerns his possibly making the mistake of listening to those who push for mandatory vaccinations against COVID-19. Here is a news item that encapsulates to some extent the issue: President Donald Trump announced several weeks ago that the US government will purchase 100 million doses of Moderna's experimental coronavirus vaccine, which is currently in late-stage human trials. In addition to Moderna, AstraZeneca and the Pfizer/BioNTech alliance are also working on a vaccine. Trump recently estimated that a vaccine for coronavirus may be produced ahead of the US presidential election on November 3. The US has registered more than six million cases of COVID-19-almost a quarter of the global total-and 185,000 deaths, according to Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University. ("US States Told Be Ready for COVID-19 Vaccine by November 1," US & Canada-Israel National News, September 4, 2020) There is more than just conspiracy theory behind fears that some folks in high places have suggested that a computer tracking nanochip or something like that be injected along with the coming COVID inoculations. There is ample documentation that such ideas have been exchanged between Bill Gates and others who contemplate vaccinating the entire world. I don't pretend to suggest that this will be part of such vaccinations, nor am I saying this has something to do with the Revelation 13 "mark of the beast," "666" system of buying and selling. No one needs to fear that they will take that mark this side of the Rapture, no matter what else the proposed COVID vaccine might mean. But it all does smack of Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-four and Big Brother, in which the ruling class is in complete control of the hapless masses and wields absolute power. Mr. President, be aware. Christians who understand Bible prophecy as it is meant to be understood will strongly resist such "mandatory" impositions upon personal liberty. You can only make peace with those who accept you. Attending the White House signing ceremony on Tuesday of the Abraham Accords-which normalize relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain-was both moving and jarring. Standing at the South Lawn, just meters from the Rose Garden where the Oslo Accords were signed 27 years ago on Sept. 13, 1993, the comparison between the two agreements was inescapable. That ceremony was an act of political theater unsurpassed in the history of Israel. Yasser Arafat, chairman of the PLO and architect of modern terrorism, grinned ear to ear as he received the royal treatment on the White House Lawn. Seeking peace, Israel's then-Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin promised the PLO land, money and weaponry, which Arafat used to build a terror state on the outskirts of Jerusalem. Arafat in turn promised to end terrorism, accept Israel's right to exist and resolve all outstanding issues through peaceful negotiations. Arafat was lying. I wanted to believe in the fake peace of 1993. But the grim facts made it all impossible. For the past 27 years, first as a member of Israel's negotiating team during my service in the Israel Defense Forces and then as a writer and a lecturer, like thousands of other Israelis and friends of Israel in the United States and around the world, I devoted myself to exposing the lies and warning about the danger of empowering those who seek Israel's destruction. I wrote hundreds of articles, briefed hundreds of politicians and community leaders in the United States and worldwide. I wrote a book. And as I sat in the garden at the White House today, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. President Donald Trump, UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Bahrain Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al Zayani standing in the portico before me, the names of the victims of that previous peace agreement rushed through my head. David Biri, Nachson Waxman, Kochava Biton, Ohad Bachrach, Ori Shachor, the Lapids, the Ungars, the Fogels, the Schijveschuurders, Madhat Yusuf, Shalhevet Pas and on and on and on. I have been demonized as an "extremist," a "far right-winger," an "enemy of peace" and a "fascist" by members of the so-called "peace camp." Think tanks and professionals with ties to the European Union-the co-sponsor of the fake peace process-were afraid to invite me to speak, cite my articles or to review my book. Now, 27 years and two days later, the Palestinians were outside the White House with Israeli "peace activists" protesting the peace ceremony at the White House. The European Union is boycotting the peace ceremony. And sitting in the audience with me are politicians and leaders like Zionist Organization of American President Mort Klein; Sen. Ted Cruz; radio host Mark Levin and former presidential candidate and evangelical leader Gary Bauer, whom I met with over over the past decades to discuss the dangers of fake peace to Israel, and who like me devoted themselves to ending the lie that peace is possible with people who justify the murder of innocent Israelis as a form of "legitimate resistance," only to be reviled by the "peace camp" for speaking the truth. Many of the guests made the effort to come to the White House even in the midst of the global pandemic because it is clear that this peace is something else. As people like Mossad director Yossi Cohen have said, it only seems like this event happened suddenly. It didn't. It is the outgrowth of years of work by dedicated officials from all sides who quietly and carefully cultivated ties based not on lies but on real common interests and common concerns. The UAE, Bahrain and Israel have come together because of the courageous leadership of President Trump and his advisers who were willing to acknowledge the reality on the ground and listen to the voices of those who opposed what happened at the White House 27 years ago. Trump and his team were willing to break ranks with generations of American policymakers who insisted that terrorists are the true peacemakers, that the road to peace is appeasement and that those who look for mutual respect, human decency and shared interests as the basis of peace are right-wing warmongers. This peace is not a function of Netanyahu changing his tune, as his Likud predecessors Ariel Sharon, Ehud Olmert and others did, and joining the chorus of the fake peace camp. This peace owes to Netanyahu staying true to the core truths at the root of the anti-Oslo protests: You cannot make peace with people who justify your murder and seek your destruction. You can only make peace with those who accept you as you are for what you are. This peace is real peace. It is a peace to celebrate and cultivate. It is a peace based on respecting, and missing and loving and never forgetting the victims of the political theater that happened here 27 years ago. Where this peace will lead is unclear. The sky's the limit. But unless something goes terribly wrong, it will not lead to more Jewish victims of fake peace. The pacts aligned the nations and deepened their opposition to Iran's efforts of hegemony in the region. There are several prophetic implications to the agreements, some which may go counter to commonplace Christian Biblical teachings. First and foremost, Christ said during his Sermon on the Mount, "Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God." The news media and democrats are calling President Trump anything but a child of God. These agreements, and there are more expected, are in stark contrast to the previous Administration. Trump is bringing Middle East nations together toward PEACE with Israel. Let us remember the immediate past occupant of the White House fomented Arab Spring, a radical rebellion of Middle East nations in alignment against Israel. Supporting the Muslim Brotherhood, a sworn enemy against Israel, resulted in destabilization of Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, and Yemen. Strife in Syria, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia was aided in advancing this Muslim Brotherhood plan. This destabilization created a hostile environment for Israel by legitimizing and energizing Islamic terror groups-Hamas, al Qaeda, Hezbollah and others. Many will falsely claim that this is the peace deal that begins the seven-year tribulation period, biblically called Jacob's Troubles, leading to the end of days. It is not. Daniel 9:27 states, "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate." This passage prophesies the peace agreement between the Beast (antichrist) and Israel, marking the beginning of the seven-years of Jacob's Troubles (the tribulation). In the middle, the covenant is broken, the temple sacrifices ended, and the abomination of desolation occurs. Much to his opponents' dismay, Trump is not the antichrist. The temporary halt of West Bank (Judea, Samaria) settlement annexation plans could be consequential as the US pressures Israel to give up land for peace. However, God's timing-not man's-dictates the restoration of all of Israel. Having said that, these peace accords do have prophetic significance. They lay the groundwork for nations aligning with and against Israel. They are types and shadows of what is prophesied by the prophets of God throughout the Bible. They further entrench Iran, a major end time player, against Israel and may advance Turkey's position of strength over Iran. These are all pieces of the puzzle that point to the return of Messiah! How can our minds be transformed? It will happen through the study of God's Word. In Acts 17 we read about those in the synagogue at Berea who listened very carefully when Paul and Silas showed up: "These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. Therefore many of them believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, prominent women as well as men" (verses 10-11 NKJV). I love that they listened eagerly and checked up on what they had to say. They were checking out none other than the apostle Paul, who wrote a good part of the New Testament. That is the right way to listen. Jesus said, "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you" (John 15:7 NKJV). The word abide means planting your roots deeply into Christ, soaking up the nutrients, growing each and every day, staying in a given place. It is staying in fellowship with Him. That means you study God's Word. That means you memorize it. And ultimately it means that it affects your thinking, your living, and everything you do. We need to approach God's Word this way.
