https://www.raptureready.com/2019/10/06/pray-america-israel-world-daymond-duck/ I was honored to speak at a prophecy conference this past week, and I want to begin with some interesting things that came from other speakers. One: One speaker showed two or three commercials that are being shown on Israeli TV. A speaker in one commercial said this is the generation that will rebuild the Temple, and a speaker in another commercial urged the Israeli people to support the efforts to rebuild the Temple. Think about it: When asked about the signs of His Coming, Jesus revealed that the Antichrist will defile the Temple. Later, Paul said the Antichrist will sit in the Temple showing himself that he is God (Matt. 24:15; II Thess. 2:3-4); and today, there are commercials on Israeli TV urging our generation to rebuild the Temple. Two: We were told that some of the Jewish rabbis have reminded Pres. Trump that many U.S. Presidents have been concerned about their legacy. These rabbis said the greatest thing that Pres. Trump can do to establish his legacy is to make it possible for Israel to rebuild the Temple. Three: It is common knowledge that the Temple Institute has rebuilt all of the clothing, music instruments, etc., for use at the Temple, but they have not rebuilt the Ark of the Covenant. They haven't rebuilt it because they say they know where it is. Four: The Jews have made a replica of the tabernacle; and if they can get government approval, they are ready to start the animal sacrifices on the Temple Mount with or without the Ashes of the first nine Red Heifers. Five: Know that the Second Coming is not the end of the world; it is the end of human government and the beginning of the reign of the King, Jesus. If you are discouraged or disgusted by what is going on in our government today, understand that God knows all about it; and that is one reason why He intends to bring human government to an end. Six: Moving from the prophecy conference to current events, the Bible teaches that there will be a departing from the faith at the end of the Church Age. It has been announced that the United Methodist Church (UMC) will meet in May of 2020 to discuss an orderly and amicable split in the denomination. The Bible is clear on gay issues, but a rejection by many leaders and members of what the Bible says about this is splitting that once great denomination. Seven: Recall that in May of this year, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Florida Emergency Management Director Jared Moskowitz visited Israel and the Wailing Wall where both men inserted a prayer that no hurricanes would strike Florida this year. Hurricane Dorian headed toward Florida, but turned aside; Hurricane Humberto headed toward Florida, but turned aside; Hurricane Lorenzo, the most powerful hurricane ever this far out in the Atlantic, is headed toward the U.S., but is projected to turn aside (perhaps we really need to repent of our sins and pray). Eight: The Antichrist and False Prophet will need surveillance equipment to track all buying and selling during the Tribulation Period. On Sept. 19, 2019, it was reported that the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace said at least 75 countries are actively using artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as facial recognition for surveillance. Nine: On Sept. 22, 2019, Pres. Trump's Special Envoy to the Middle East, Jason Greenblatt, was in Israel to discuss Pres. Trump's Peace proposal. Mr. Greenblatt said the election turmoil in Israel has fundamentally changed things on the ground, so the publication of Pres. Trump's Deal of the Century will be significantly delayed. I would love to hear Pres. Trump say it is permanently delayed and the U.S. will throw its full support behind Israel (that would be great for his legacy). Ten: On Sept. 21, 2019, it was reported that Syria has sent tanks, vehicles, troops, ammunition, and heavy weapons to areas near her border with Israel on the Golan Heights for unspecified reasons. At some point, war will break out, and God told us how it will end (Isa. 17:1-3, 14). Eleven: Concerning Iran's use of missiles to attack Saudi Arabia, the U.S., Saudi Arabia, Israel, EU, England, France, Germany and Japan have all said that Iran did it. It is obvious that Iran is led by a bunch of liars. Iran's efforts to move missiles into Syria and Iraq, and Iran's stepped-up enrichment of nuclear material have prompted an Israeli General to say that Israel is starting to reach the point of war with Iran. Israel is now debating whether to launch a pre-emptive strike on Iran or wait and retaliate after Iran attacks. Twelve: The Israeli election has turned into a spiritual war over Israel's future (God called Israel to follow their Messiah and serve Him, but Satan wants Israel to be a secular or non-religious nation and follow him). Know that Israel will continue to have a form of godliness (They will rebuild the Temple, offer animal sacrifices, etc.); but Satan will lose, and they will accept Jesus at the end of the Tribulation Period. Thirteen: When Russia, Iran, Turkey and others attack Israel in the Battle of Gog and Magog, the Bible says they will cover the land like a cloud (Ezek. 38:9). I have long believed "cover the land like a cloud" refers to planes and helicopters. On Sept. 26, 2019, it was reported that Russia is expanding its large air base in Syria, adding a second landing strip and building facilities for more aircraft. Some of those aircraft will be drones, so we can add drones to the list of aircraft. Fourteen: On Sept. 27, 2019, Turkey's Pres. Erdogan said Turkey is not afraid of being sanctioned by the U.S., and Turkey will not abide by U.S. sanctions on Iran. Erdogan said Turkey will not destroy its relationship with Iran. Turkey is plainly on Iran's side and lined up for the Battle of Gog and Magog. Fifteen: Two women in Ft. Collins, Col. sued the city for the right to go topless in public because men can go topless. According to these women, gender equality means that they should not be required to wear anything above the waist, and a federal judge agreed with them. Women naked in public from the waist up is now legal in six states (the days of Lot have arrived, and one must wonder if this is coming to every state in the U.S.). Sixteen: Pope Francis has scheduled a meeting at the Vatican for May 14, 2020, to present a humanistic document (human values, not religious or spiritual values) for the world to abide by. He clearly wants the UN to use the world's education systems to push world government and world religion without the input of Christianity. In co-operation with a prominent Muslim Sheikh, a complex is being built in Abu Dhabi called the Abrahamic Family House. It will have a Church, a Mosque and a Synagogue or separate places of worship for Christians, Muslims and Jews; and it will have a fourth place for people of all religions to come together as one body (world religion; not the body of Christ). The purpose is to promote peace, coexistence and brotherhood among all religions. Finally, Pres. Trump was at the UN this week where he urged the nations to reject globalism; to normalize relations with Israel; he opposed taxpayer-funded abortions as a global human right; he urged world leaders to let their people live by faith and to give glory to God, and more. It is easy to see why globalists, abortionists and others dislike Pres. Trump so much and why they want him removed from office so badly. Pray for America, Israel and the world. Or, at least they should, assuming that the lessons of the 1973 Yom Kippur War (that started on this date) have been learned and internalized. On Sunday, just days before yet another Yom Kippur, the political-security cabinet was to meet for the first time since the September elections (despite the endless political turmoil Israel has found itself in since the national vote) to discuss a "sensitive situation." At this point it's impossible to know whether there is actually something serious or it's yet another political spin. Because everything feels like it's still part of an election campaign. The bottom line is although I wish it was all a spin, I still want the issues discussed there to be serious. There are two disturbing similarities between 1973 and 2019. The first is that there is a ruling political party that in the eyes of a sizeable chunk of the public is invincible and can get away with practically anything. The second is the fact that defense intelligence is being made public - if you only open your eyes and look closely. Anwar Sadat, who at the time was Egypt's president, a year before the war described in a detailed interview to Newsweek how one and a half million of Egyptian soldiers were preparing for a war that his regime could not escape. Like Sadat, many speeches of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah also give away his main operational objectives with regards to Israel - occupation of the Upper Galilee, accompanied by heavy rocket fire. The alleged Iranian attack on Saudi oil fields, however, shows that Israel has spent years learning to neutralize weapons of wars we had already fought. We built anti-ballistic missile defense systems, while the Iranians were developing cruise missiles. Although the pinnacle of our defense establishment has recorded hundreds of great accomplishments, what about the infantry or armored brigades? Will the home front cope if there's an all-out war? However you want to spin it, a war against Iran and its regional proxies is inevitable. According to the intelligence (which at this point has practically been made public) the war will include heavy rocket fire from Gaza, Iran (and the territory under its influence in Iraq), Syria and Lebanon - where ground battles will also be fought. Are we prepared to face a prolonged bombardment of our civilian population? Will we be able to withstand precision-missile hits that would break our morale? Israel in 2019, just like in 1973, is a captive of its own concept. This time, however, it is a political concept: a package of fossilized perceptions about the left vs the right; ultra-Orthodox vs secular; Arabs vs Jews, that dictates who will vote for whom in the polls, and who will sit with whom in a coalition government. All of this political bickering puts us in a vulnerable position where the next war will shake us like we have not been shaken since those sirens rang on October 6, 1973. Has the Yom Kippur Mystery of Azazel Finally Been Solved? - By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz - www.breakingisraelnews.com Aharon shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat and confess over it all the iniquities and transgressions of the Israelites, whatever their sins, putting them on the head of the goat; and it shall be sent off to the wilderness through a designated man. Leviticus 16:21 (The Israel Bible™) The most important Temple service of the year held on Yom Kippur is described in great detail but one detail remains shrouded in mystery: the location of the Azazel cliff. An unlikely investigator thinks he has unraveled that mystery, but his solution bears with it a buried treasure of gold and silver worth millions. Yom Kippur Temple Service Since the destruction of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem in 70 CE, the holy day of Yom Kippur has been observed with intense prayer and fasting. But the Bible mandates 15 specific sacrifices and many other rituals for Yom Kippur outlined in Leviticus chapter 16. This included the Kohen Gadol (high priest) wearing five different sets of garments, immersion in the mikvah (ritual bath) five times, and washing his hands and feet ten times. The temple service on Yom Kippur was the only time the Kohen Gadol entered the Kodesh Kedoshim (holy of holies) three times, the only day of the year he was permitted to enter the site that lay at the heart of the Temple. The day culminated in a lottery that chooses between two goats, purchased at the same time, that were identical in appearance and worth. The fate of the two goats is intertwined and should one goat die, an entirely new set must be provided as it is not sufficient to merely replace the deceased animal. It is interesting to note that the Hebrew word for the lottery (גורל) also means 'fate.' Two gold plates, one inscribed with the word "to God" and the other with "to Azazel", are presented to the Kohen Gadol. He blindly assigns each gold plate to a goat. The goat that is assigned the plate inscribed with "to God" is sacrificed in the normal manner, slaughtered by the Kohen Gadol and burned on the altar inside the Temple as a sin offering. Its blood was sprinkled in the Holy of Holies eight times. The one exceptional aspect of that sacrifice is that the confession of sins that normally precedes sin offerings is omitted. The other goat is treated in a manner that seems to contradict every rule pertaining to sacrifices. The Kohen Gadol placed his hands on the head of the goat and performed the confession of sins. A crimson skein of wool was wrapped around the horns of the doomed goat and an identical skein was wrapped around the door handles of the Temple. The goat was led into the wilderness outside of Jerusalem a distance that was five times that permitted on the sabbath. Ten stations were prepared along the way with food and drink, thereby technically increasing the permitted distance. Despite the emissary being in the midst of the fast-day ritual, he was offered food and drink at each stop along the way. He refused the offers, of course. At the end of the journey, the skein of scarlet wool was removed from the goat's horns and tied to a nearby rock and thrown from a cliff. The cliff was so sheer that the goat tumbled and torn to pieces from the fall. If Israel's sins were forgiven by this act of contrition, the crimson thread would miraculously turn white as would the thread on the Temple doors. This aspect of the Yom Kippur service was hinted at by the Prophet Isaiah. "Come, let us reach an understanding, -says Hashem. Be your sins like crimson, They can turn snow-white; Be they red as dyed wool, They can become like fleece." Isaiah 1:18 It was documented that for the last forty years of the Second Temple, the thread remained scarlet. The final destination is referred to as Azazel but the meaning of that word is elusive, sometimes explained as being derived from the Hebrew עז (az), meaning 'bold,' or alternatively, from the Aramaic עזיל (azil) meaning 'to go.' The apocryphal book of Enoch, for example, refers to a fallen angel named Azazel who is blamed for the proliferation of weapons. It is interesting to note that the man who purifies all of Israel through this mystifying ceremony is made impure, similar to the equally inexplicable preparation of the Red Heifer which also defies the normal Temple customs. The Mystery of Azazel Solved Most of the aspects of this enigmatic ritual are described in detail in the Talmud (oral law) but one detail has been lost: the precise location of the final destination, the cliff where the goat meets its end. Five sabbath journies, a distance described in Jewish law, is approximately 12 miles. The region is in the Judean desert across the Kidron Valley from Jerusalem but is referred to simply as צוק (tsuk, literally 'a cliff'). The Talmud describes it as a "rough and rocky place." It may seem that a non-Jewish retired arson investigator and former Army helicopter pilot from Oklahoma is an unlikely candidate for solving this ancient mystery but it may be that it is precisely these qualifications that led Jim Barfield to discover the precise location of Azazel. Oddly enough, he discovered the location while working on another mystery: the Copper Scroll. The Copper Scroll was discovered in 1952 near Qumran on the shores of the Dead Seaand is considered part of the famous Dead Sea Scrolls. The Copper Scroll differs in that it was found in situ - on location - and unlike the other Dead Sea Scrolls that were written on animal hide, the Copper Scroll, as its name suggests, was inscribed into a thin sheet of copper. The Hebrew used in the Copper Scroll indicates it was written in a later period than the other Dead Sea Scrolls. Incredibly, while the other Dead Sea Scrolls contain religious and Biblical works, the Copper Scroll is simply a list of 64 locations and corresponding amounts of gold and silver from the Temple that were hidden away. One of the locations is described as holding priestly vestments. The Copper Scroll, an ancient artifact inscribed in Hebrew, is currently in a museum in Amman, Jordan. In 2006, Barfield set out to discover the truth of the Copper scroll, following in the footsteps of Vendyl Jones, a Texas preacher turned Biblical archaeologist. Jones' archaeological investigations at Qumran had discovered a small vial of Persimmon Oil used to anoint kings and high priests and a huge cache of Temple Incense. The description of inscribed on the Copper Scroll indicated that the hidden treasure was worth millions, perhaps even billions, of dollars. But, like Jones, Barfield's motivation was simple. "I want to return the Temple artifacts to the Jewish People," Barfield told Breaking Israel News. "It's time." His research led him to believe that all of the treasure was hidden in Qumran itself. Some archaeologists surmised the site was a community of Essenes, an austere sect of Judaism, flourished from the 2nd century BCE to the 1st century CE. In the course of his research, Barfield spent countless hours staring at maps of Qumran. As a helicopter pilot, Barfield was trained to study maps from all perspectives. He discovered that the shape of the city that had once stood at Qumran was identical, albeit the inverse, of the map of Jerusalem of the same period. Barfield found many parallels between the two cities. Barfield also discovered that one of the burial places in the Copper Scroll was described as "the mouth of the Tsuk. It cites Tsuk twice for two different burial locations, describing it as "the lofty cliff for judgment." In his excursions into the desert area surrounding Qumran, Barfield believes he discovered the precise location of the Azazel ceremony; a lonely 180 foot-tall sheer cliff overlooking the ancient site. Barfield began his search for the Azazel cliff by using the specified distance as an approximation, drawing a circle on the map around the Temple Mount with a radius of 20 miles. The top of the cliff is approximately 20 miles due east of Jerusalem and the foot of the cliff is just outside Qumran. "It's quite a dangerous spot," Barfield said. "It's fenced off and I have never seen anyone out there. But there is a path leading precisely to that high spot on the cliff. If you've got your little goat and your fixin' to say goodbye, that would be a perfect spot." Barfield visited other sites believed to be the elusive Azazel but none fit the description as well as the cliff overlooking Qumran. "One site was just a big hill," Barfield said. "If you pushed a goat off of the peak, all you would get is an angry goat." Near the top of the cliff, Barfield discovered a large rock with a peculiar hole drilled into the top in a manner that would be most convenient for inserting the pole used to hang the skein of crimson wool. Barfield emphasized that his theories were still no more than theories. "I don't know that this was the spot but for now, no one knows," Barfield said. "The important thing is to keep asking the questions and keep looking for the answers. If they were going to do something as important as this, I am sure they would want to do it in a place that was watched over by people who were meticulous about ritual purity, like the residents of Qumran were. That is why they stored the Persimmon Oil and the incense there. It was clearly connected to the Temple in many ways." Barfield emphasized that the areas to the north, south, and west of Jerusalem were settled. "It was only to the east, towards Qumran and the Dead Sea, that you had true wilderness," Barfield said. For the time being, Barfield's investigations at Qumran are stalled, awaiting government permission. Building the Third Temple is an explosive political issue, and finding the actual Temple vessels would thrust that issue into the forefront. With the answer tantalizingly close, Barfield believes public opinion can tip the scales and help defuse the opposition. But the recent political impasse in the Israeli elections is also a source of hope. "As the situation currently stands, any archaeological finds from the Jordan valley could be claimed by the Palestinians as their property," Barfield said. In fact, the Palestinian Authority has tried to claim the Dead Sea Scrolls as part of their ancestral heritage. "Netanyahu promised to annex the Jordan Valley if he gets elected. Maybe after he does that, the Israeli government will allow us to dig in Qumran in the Jordan Valley." "I'll make the Palestinians a deal," Barfield said. "I'll give them every single thing we find, every gold or silver coin, every scroll, every artifact. Everything that has Arabic on it or mentions the Palestinians, I will personally give it to them." Now a British employment tribunal has ruled that Mackereth's conscientious objection to transgenderism is "incompatible with human dignity and conflict[s] with the fundamental rights of others, specifically here, transgender individuals." In Britain, according to this decision, belief in the Bible's tenets of man and woman combined with a lack of belief in transgenderism are now grounds for discipline, including loss of employment. The decision will be appealed, notwithstanding, this is a dangerous precedent for mankind. According to news reports, Mackereth, a Reformed Baptist, father of four, who registered as a doctor in 1989 and spent most of his career working in Accident & Emergency wards, said: "I'm not attacking the transgender movement. But, I'm defending my right to freedom of speech, and freedom of belief...But, if upsetting someone can lead to doctors being sacked then, as a society we have to examine where we are going." When Mackereth's instructor stated that reports must only refer to the patient by the sex that person identified themselves as, a discussion took place among the medics about the "fluid" nature of gender. Mackereth explains: "I believe that gender is defined by biology and genetics. And that as a Christian the Bible teaches us that God made humans male or female." The government tribunal's decision stated that while it does "accept that Christianity is a protected characteristic. They do not accept that is so where Dr Mackereth goes further in seeking to define the beliefs he relays at [ET1/5] as a protected characteristic. The respondents argue that at the heart of those beliefs is intolerance towards transgender people, and that a refusal to respect the dignity of transgender people and their preferred form of address is incompatible with human dignity and conflicts with the fundamental rights of others." Mackereth had refused to address transgenders by the pronoun of the sex they had chosen because of his Biblical beliefs and scientific teachings. The British government tribunal, however, said that irrespective of Mackereth's beliefs, the government policy was to address transgenders in the manner they request. Mackereth refused, and was fired. The court upheld the firing. The overriding issue, however, is not about getting fired for refusing to honor policy. The tribunal recognized that Mackereth had protective rights as a Christian, but ruled that Judeo-Christian belief is against human dignity. This is the genesis of persecution. It is also where this entire gender movement is headed-a conflict between religion and "protected" classes of people. And you see who is favored. There will come a time when Christians will have an Acts 5:29 moment, "Then Peter and the Apostles answered and said, "We ought to obey God rather than men." In other words, if people were being unfaithful to their spouses, they also would pad their business expenses and cut corners in other areas of their jobs. It makes sense, doesn't it? If someone is willing to take down one wall, then why not kick down other walls too? Small things become big things. If you're willing to cheat on a test in school, then will you also lie on your résumé? And if you're willing to cheat in school and lie on your résumé, then in what other areas will you be willing to cheat? Little compromises turn into big problems. Little things turn into big things. We don't think about this sometimes. We'll say, "It's all right. This is just a minor infraction." But we're not thinking about the repercussions yet. In the Bible we find story after story of lifelong repercussions that came as a result of a single decision. Adam ate of the forbidden fruit, and it cost him paradise. Esau compromised for a single meal and lost his birthright. Samson's sexual compromises cost him his strength, his eyes, and ultimately his life. Are there some small areas where you're making compromises now? Deal with those, because the Lord is revealing them for your own good. Little compromises turn into big problems. Jesus said, "If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won't be honest with greater responsibilities" (Luke 16:10 NLT). In a single moment in time, you can make a decision that affects your entire life.
