The Fullness of Time - by Pete Garcia -
https://rev310.wordpress.com/2018/10/21/the-fullness-of-time/ You know the military loves their acronyms. You would think after 20-years, I would have heard them all. But just this past week, I heard a new one called POAM. It stands for Plan Of Action and Milestones (POAM). When I heard POAM used the other day in a brief, it immediately got me thinking about God's POAM, and time. Time is after all, just a matter of perspective. When you were young, a year seemed like a long-time. Your next birthday or Christmas, seemed forever away. In truth, time was longer because you had not lived that long upon the earth. For instance, if you were six-years old, then one-year equaled 1/6th of your life. However, when you were thirty or forty, one year becomes 1/30th or 1/40th of your life, which becomes a substantially less relevant the older we get. Some of us these days wish that the birthdays wouldn't come as fast as they seemingly do...yet, the speed of time hasn't changed at all. One of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture's main pillars (if I can call it that) is the doctrine of imminence. This is the teaching that God the Son could come back at any moment. Certainly, the Apostle Paul thought so, as did others (see here). Although I am Pre-Trib, and I believe imminence plays a role here, I have always believed that God's timing was not going to be based on some random event. In other words, imminence to us is a well-defined event or criteria for God. The Father knows exactly when He will send the Son, although that remains a mystery to us (Matt. 24:36). Some have linked the Feasts of God to the timing of Son's return for His bride the Church. Seems logical, I mean, in Christ's life, death, and resurrection, He fulfilled the first three Feasts very literally. The next Feast was fulfilled when God the Holy Spirit came down at Pentecost (Weeks) like cloven tongues of fire (Acts 2:1-4). The first four of the seven feasts occur during the springtime (Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, and Weeks), and they all have already been fulfilled by Christ in the New Testament. The final three holidays (Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and Tabernacles) occur during the fall, all within a short fifteen-day period. (Link) The first four were fulfilled over a fifty-day period. The fall feasts and their fulfillment (still unknown as to when) will be fulfilled rather quickly over a fifteen-day period. What I mean by that is if the first four feast were fulfilled in succession over a fifty-period, shouldn't the last three also see their literal fulfillment over 15-day period, not spread out over years? Personally, I do not know. We will have to wait and see how this all shakes out. Yet, even the timing of this speaks to a quickening of events once they began. This all begs the question then, when will this begin? Fullness Although the Rapture does not start the 70th Week of Daniel (aka...the Tribulation), it does set things in motion for the fulfillment of this to occur. I have spoken to this in numerous letters, so I will not rehash that at present. However, what I do want to speak to is the conditions for the Rapture to occur. So although we cannot know specifically when, we can know generally due to another biblical principle juxtaposed from imminence called fullness. The world of today has arrived at a series of converging culmination points that herald prophetic fullness.
Fullness is God's way of telling us when something will occur. When we see these things coming to a head, then we should know we are in the season of the Lord's return (1st Thess. 5). Listed below are five passages that deal with fullness and the potential implications they will lead too. I will put them in the order of their fulfillment in relation to the Rapture and the final week of years. 1. The rebirth of Israel And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. Luke 21:24 In 70AD, the Roman legions under General Titus, lay siege to the city of Jerusalem. In its wake, Jerusalem was destroyed, her temple leveled (not one stone left atop the other), and according to the Jewish historian Josephus, one-million Jews lay dead. From then until May 14, 1948, Israel (as a nation) was nothing more than a historical footnote. National Israel had laid dormant in diaspora for approximately 1,878 years, until God began stirring the nations. Due to the divine ordering of World Wars I and II, the rebirth of Israel became a reality.
While Gentiles will continue to trample Jerusalem up to and thru the 70th Week, Jerusalem has firmly been in the hands of the Israelis since 1967. Here is a quick reference to the counting down of the timeline:
2. The full number of Gentiles brought into the Church For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. Romans 11:25 There has been some contention within the Pre-Trib community that the Rapture is not determined by some indeterminate number of Gentiles, but rather will happen on one of the appointed Feast dates. My opinion is that why couldn't it be both? The full number of Gentiles could come in to the Church (i.e., the universal, multi-membered, singular body of Christ) on the Feast Date, because God already knows. With that said, let us look at Matthew 28:18-20 and 24:14. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. & And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. Christianity started in Jerusalem, and began to spread throughout the Roman Empire in that first century. We can see that progression take place in the book of Acts as the Gospel spreads and begins to circulate to wider and wider circuits. Even the apostles not recorded in the Epistles, were recorded by the early church fathers who noted their deaths as martyrs in places as far away as Egypt and India. From Israel, Christianity began to spread throughout Europe to the rest of the world, most notably, the New World (i.e., the Americas). Christianity's "golden age" began in the 1700s thru the mid-1900s. Numerous evangelical campaigns sent missionaries all around the world. However, as time waxed on, Christianity began to die out in its traditional strongholds of Europe and the United States, while it is exploding in places like Africa, China, and the Middle East. Christianity is even making a strong comeback in the place it first began, Israel. Keep in mind what Christ told His disciples. When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes. Matthew 10:23 3. The conclusion of the Church Age ...that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth-in Him. Ephesians 1:10 Just as the Church Age had a beginning (Pentecost-conception), the Church Age will also have an ending (Rapture-birth). Here, the final tense of salvation is literally and physically carried out. For the curious, the three tenses of salvation are- justification, sanctification, and glorification. (Romans 8:28-30, 1 John 3:1-3). We cannot work for our justification to be saved (we are justified by our faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross), but we can work towards our sanctification once we are already saved. We can either gain or lose rewards (1 Cor. 3, 2 Cor. 5) and will be tested by fire at the Bema Judgment. This is where many people mistakenly believe in works-based salvation from passages in James or Hebrews. When Christ gathers all things together in Him, He will do so by resurrecting the dead and catching up those who are still alive in the Rapture (Greek-harpazo for caught up). For clarification, those who have already died in Christ are currently in heaven, but without their glorified bodies (2nd Cor. 5:2-4, 6, and 8). They will come back with Christ and receive their glorified bodies from wherever the remains of their physical bodies lay. God will supernaturally reconstruct their old bodies into their heavenly bodies that will endure forever in perfection. Therefore, you will still be you, but the you God always intended you to be. However, it is also true that our spiritual glorification (foreknown by God) was set up long before our physical glorification takes place (at the Rapture and Bema Judgment). Think of it as a reservation made in advance. God foreknew you would make the decision to become born-again so reserves you a spot ahead of time. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:4-7 4. The arrival of the Antichrist "And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors have reached their fullness, a king shall arise, having fierce features, who understands sinister schemes. Daniel 8:23 In context with the rest of Daniel 8, the angel Gabriel is explaining the geopolitical prophetic scenario at the time of the end. While some of the prophetic interpretation could deal with the events still future to Daniel, but in the past for us (as type and shadow), I believe (as does my friend Steve Schmutzer) that this passage is speaking to even our future and to the coming of The Antichrist. Although Antiochus Epiphanes makes for a good comparison, given the connection to his desolation of the Jewish temple, the Maccabees, and Hanukkah, he cannot be whom this passage is talking about- The problem is Antiochus Epiphanes did not come to power during the latter period of anything. He was the eighth ruler of about 30 that led the Seleucid Kingdom, so he didn't even reach the midpoint. If Daniel had envisioned Antiochus Epiphanes as the subject of this text and vision, Gabriel would have placed him instead "before the middle part of their rule." (Steve Schmutzer) Step back and think about the big picture for a moment then. Think about how global power has continued to move around the world, which was westward. I realize there are exceptions here (i.e., the Incans, Byzantines, the Mongols, Chinese dynasties, etc.), but I am speaking here in broad terms to the pivotal points in human history were mankind was given its overarching marching directions.
Consider the geopolitical results of the first two global wars (WWI and WWII). Because of those wars, mankind created the world's first global government (the United Nations). The first reunification of Europe (the EU) since the Holy Roman Empire. The creation of numerous supranational organizations (World Bank, World Health Organization, International Monetary Fund, NATO, etc.). Numerous international globalist organizations like the Club of Rome, Bilderbergers, Council on Foreign Relations and pretty much anything the Rockefellers, Rothschild's, and George Soros funds. In fact, the 20th-century was nothing less than the continual consolidation of political, military, and economic power into fewer and fewer hands since 1900. So not only has true, global power moved westward, but it has made its way full-circle back to the Mediterranean from whence it began. I could be wrong, but to me, this is what it means when the transgressors have reached their fullness. It will come back full-circle to this final, earthly kingdom (the ten toes) headed by the Lawless one that comes to existence due to some type of global calamity (like the Rapture?). The major difference between this final kingdom, and every other that preceded it, is the technology that allows it to implement almost complete control over the entire earth. 5. The Grapes of Wrath And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, "Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe." So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. Revelation 14:18-19 As for the 21 divine judgments found in Revelation 6-18, they appear to be an escalating mixture of horror and misery, which God pours out on a wicked and unrepentant world. His wrath is proportional to their blasphemous and depraved nature. So the more judgment that is poured out, the more hardened they become, much in the same manner as with Pharaoh during the Ten Plagues of Exodus. However, we can see a foreshadowing of this even in the world today. There is an irrational, blind, zealous hatred for God on exhibit by many on the political left. Many of them cannot even explain why they love abortion, hate Israel, or loathe Christianity, but they do. While they cannot explain it, we know the Bible can and does. Jesus likened this increasing wickedness to birth pangs, in that they would build up in both frequency and intensity the closer we draw to the end. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. Matt. 24:12-13 The Apostle Paul said... But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come...2nd Timothy 3:1-5 The Apostle Peter said... ...knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? - 2nd Peter 3:2-3 The Apostle James said.... Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten...You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter. You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you. James 5:1-6 Jesus half-brother Jude says... ...how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. Jude 1:17-19 The Apostle John said... Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour...1st John 2:18-19 As I said earlier, time is all about perspective. From God's perspective, a day is as a thousand years, and vice-versa to God. If it was the last hour in John's day, then we must be in the last seconds of that last hour. Even so, Maranatha! The Rise of the Russian-Turkish-Iranian Alliance - By Britt Gillette - https://www.raptureready.com/2018/10/19/rise-russian-turkish-iranian-alliance-britt-gillette/ In early September, Russia, Turkey, and Iran met in Tehran to discuss the future of Syria. It was just one of many meetings in the past several years between three of the most powerful nations in Middle Eastern politics. In a mid-September meeting, Russia and Turkey agreed to carry out coordinated military patrols on the borders of a "demilitarized" buffer zone between Syrian troops and rebel forces in Syria's Idlib province. Idlib is the last major stronghold of rebel and jihadist groups trying to overthrow Assad in a civil war that has killed more than 400,000 people and displaced millions. For Russia and Iran, retaking Idlib is crucial to complete the military victory they crave in Syria's civil war after almost 8 years of fighting. As the war winds down, these three powers will decide the future of Syria. At first glance, Russia, Turkey, and Iran make unlikely allies. For instance, Turkey is a Sunni Muslim nation, while Iran is a Shiite Muslim nation. Also, Turkey is a member of NATO, an alliance formed specifically to counter Russian military aggression. These three nations have many differences and a number of competing interests. Yet, with each passing day, they become closer and closer. Why? Syria. The ongoing Syrian civil war highlights a number of overlapping interests for these nations. Understanding those interests is the key to understanding why these nations are coming together. So let's look at what each nation seeks to gain. Russia Why does Russia care so much about Syria? Several reasons. First, Russia maintains an important naval facility in Tartus, Syria. It's the Russian Navy's only overseas base, vital for repair and refueling of the Russian Navy. As we've seen, Russia will fight to keep its naval installation in Tartus. Second, Syria has long been an ally of Russia and the Soviet Union. Dating back to the Cold War, Syria's ruling Assad family has been aligned with Russia against western influence in the region. Russia wants to keep Assad in power and maintain its regional presence. Syria has also been a lucrative market for the sale of Russian weapons and commodities, and Russia doesn't want to lose that market. Third, Russia wants to do more than maintain its presence in the Middle East. It wants to expand it. Russia's military entry into the Syrian civil war in 2015 turned the tide of the war. It clinched eventual victory for Assad. This means Russia will maintain enormous influence over Assad and Syria. Finally, Russia's alliance with Turkey and Iran serves to strengthen its influence in the Middle East, but it also serves another purpose. The warming relationship between Turkey and Russia (and Vladimir Putin and Recep Erdogan) divides NATO. It strains the relationship between Turkey and its western NATO allies. So it's easy to see why Russia has such a vested interest in Turkey as well as Syria. Turkey What does Syria mean to Turkey? A lot. A massive attack on rebels in Idlib (home to around 3 million people) could spark a humanitarian crisis on its border. It could unleash a nightmare scenario where hundreds of thousands of refugees, including militants, flee toward Turkey's border, destabilizing towns and cities under its control. Turkey already hosts 3 million Syrian refugees, and it's sealed its borders to new entrants. Turkey wants a stable border. It wants to take advantage of Syria's civil war and gain influence and control over Syrian territory (by backing Sunni rebel groups). Most of all, Turkey wants to suppress Kurdish militants on its border. Turkey already has Kurdish-controlled areas on its border in northern Iraq. It wants to avoid the rise of new ones. This puts it in direct conflict with the United States, which is backing Kurdish rebels in Syria. This has driven Turkey closer to Russia and led it to play Russia and the NATO powers against each other to its own benefit. Iran Why is Syria so important to Iran? Iran has decades of close ties to Syria going back to the 1979 Islamic revolution, and both champion the Shiite Muslim branch of Islam. Iran already has regional footholds in Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen, and it wants to keep and expand its influence in a nation neighboring Israel and Lebanon. A presence in Syria gives Iran land access to the Mediterranean Sea, a staging ground for Hezbollah and other proxies to attack Israel, and access to Israel's border for Iranian armed forces to launch a future invasion of Israel. Iran wants to keep Syria allied against Israel, and since Hezbollah and advisors from Iran's Revolutionary Guard have helped Assad throughout the civil war, they're well positioned to take advantage if he retains power. What the Future Holds After almost 8 years of conflict, the Syrian civil war is coming to a close. The aftermath will see Syria carved into spheres of influence. Russia, Turkey, and Iran will dominate those spheres, and all three countries will remain in Syria. This makes it likely they'll continue to work together to avoid conflict and pursue their shared interests. So why should you care? Because the new Syria might be foreshadowing the soon fulfillment of Bible prophecy. The shared interests of Russia, Turkey, and Iran could lead them to launch an invasion prophesied 2,600 years ago. The Ezekiel 38-39 War Six centuries before the crucifixion of Jesus, the prophet Ezekiel foretold a future invasion of Israel. He said it will occur in the last days (Ezekiel 38:16). He said it will come from north of Israel (Ezekiel 38:15; Ezekiel 39:2), and he said it will involve a coalition of nations led by Russia (Ezekiel 38:2) that includes Iran and Turkey (Ezekiel 38:5-6). Never before have these three nations been in alliance. But today, all three sit on Israel's northern border. Coincidence? I don't think so. Who knows why they'll ultimately attack, but rest assured, they will. The stage is now set for the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38-39. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will win the battle (Ezekiel 39:3-6), and the whole world will know He is the One behind the victory (Ezekiel 39:21). Prophetic Indicators - By Daymond Duck - https://www.raptureready.com/2018/10/21/prophetic-indicators-daymond-duck/ Almost every day something happens that seems to indicate that we can see the end of the Church Age approaching on God's prophetic timeline (Heb. 10:25). Below are some of the indicators that recently appeared in the news. First, the Bible teaches that natural disasters will increase in frequency and intensity at the end of the age. On Oct. 10, 2018, the UN reported that the global cost of earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, hurricanes and other climate-related disasters drastically increased in the past 20 years (1997-2017). The UN report stated that the loss of resources and assets such as homes, factories and farms due to more frequent and widespread climate-related disasters rose 151 percent compared to the previous 20-year period (1977-1997). Whether or not this increase in frequency and cost is due to global warming is debatable, one cannot honestly deny that it is happening. And if one wants to insist that global warming is the cause, one must still consider why it is happening at the same time all of the other signs are present. Second, on Oct. 10, 2018, Hurricane Michael came ashore in Florida as a Category 4 hurricane (155 mph winds and gusts higher than that). It caused widespread destruction, and nothing was left but the foundation where many houses once stood. The U.S. death toll was 8 in Fl. (17 across four states), and was expected to go up. [As of Oct. 16, the total had risen to 29, 19 of them in Fl. and still expected to rise]. One town of 1,200 people called Mexico Beach, Fl. had many missing people. Some were believed to be trapped, and many people lost everything. Many roads and streets were blocked (including 80 miles of Interstate 10) and rescue workers couldn't get to those that were trapped. Many cell phone towers were down and many cell phones wouldn't work. More than 1,000,000 homes and businesses were without electricity and the Dade County water system wouldn't work. People that stayed behind couldn't find food and some were going hungry. The storm moved on into Georgia, So. Carolina, No. Carolina and Virginia. For whatever it is worth, Michael is a Bible name (like the Archangel Michael) meaning "Who is like God," and officials were saying it was the most powerful hurricane to ever strike the Florida panhandle. For another thing, we kept getting reports that the unveiling of Pres. Trump's peace plan is approaching, an Islamic activist that opposed a Saudi Arabian peace treaty with Israel disappeared (Jamal Khashoggi; Oct. 2), the U.S. Ambassador to the UN resigned (Nikki Haley, a strong supporter of Israel, Oct. 9); and while all of this was taking place, Michael went from being a tropical depression on Oct. 7 to being a Category 4 hurricane on Oct. 10. There may be no connection between these events and Hurricane Michael striking the Florida panhandle, but it is strangely similar to past events; and I have read speculation that Nikki Haley's sudden and surprising resignation might be connected to the peace process. Third, concerning war between Israel and Gaza, Prime Min. Netanyahu warned world leaders and the Palestinians that Israel is doing all it can to avoid a war in Gaza, but Israel will not hesitate to launch a full-scale attack on the Gaza strip, if the situation continues to grow worse. Fourth, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog, Gog and his armies will be destroyed on the mountains of Israel (Golan Heights). Israel captured the Golan Heights in the 1967 War when Israel captured East Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. Israel annexed the Golan Heights in 1981, but world leaders have refused to recognize it. On Oct. 7, 2018, Prime Min. Netanyahu called upon the UN Security Council to recognize Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights. On Oct. 9, 2018, Russia rejected Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights. Russia will attack Israel to seize a prey, but is likely to also claim that she is helping Syria retake its own territory. Fifth, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog, on Sept. 29, 2018, Russia announced that Russia had shipped some of her advanced S-300 missiles to Syria. On Oct. 8, 2018, it was reported that Russia flew several teams of Iranians to Syria to operate those missiles. So, Russia, Syria and Iran are all involved in the delivery, installation and operation of weapons that will be used against Israel. Sixth, there will be a resurgence of witchcraft and a falling away in the Church at the end of the age (II Thess. 2:3; Rev. 3:16, 9:20). On Oct. 10, 2018, it was reported that witchcraft is rising sharply in the U.S., and the number of Americans that identify as witches may now exceed the membership of the Presbyterian Church USA. Prophecy Plus Ministries, Inc. Daymond & Rachel Duck duck_daymond@yahoo.com News from Hal Lindsey Media Ministries - Hal Lindsey - www.hallindsey.com People sometimes wonder why I bother to talk about the dangers of Islam. They say, "Why not just present the positive aspects of the Gospel?" They forget that Jesus Himself warned of dangerous belief systems. And He called them by name! As a minister of the Gospel, it is my duty to show that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not just another "religion." It is the very truth of God! Sometimes that can best be accomplished by revealing the danger of purely human, even demonic, belief systems that claim to compete with the Gospel. It is also crucial to understand that I serve as a "watchman on the wall." God has charged me to sound a message of warning when I see danger on the horizon. Islam is one of the truly great dangers facing the world today. Dr. Peter Hammond is a missionary from South Africa. He has served in Mozambique, Angola, and Sudan. He's seen first-hand the tragedy caused by the Muslim faith. By necessity, he became an expert on the subject. On this week's program, I am going to draw from Dr. Hammond's extensive research on how Muslim populations, historically, have impacted the nations which they have entered as refugees and immigrants. Dr. Hammond breaks down the demographics into easily understood explanations. And the information is stunning. In fact, we are seeing each of the scenarios he describes played out on the evening news every day. Europe has become the textbook example of Dr. Hammond's findings. America may be next. Ingrid Carlqvist, a Swede, is alarmed to see these population impacts manifesting in Sweden. She warns that Islam is not compatible with democracy because it is not simply a religion. It is "a political ideology, a justice system (Sharia), and a specific culture that has rules for virtually everything in a person's life: how to dress; who your friends should be; which foot should go first when you enter the bathroom.... Islam aspires to control every aspect of the human life -- the very definition of a totalitarian ideology." This is happening in different degrees across Europe and is now beginning to impact our lives here in the United States. Folks, immigration that is not followed by assimilation is just another name for "invasion." But Islam is not the only tyrannical ideology troubling America today. The LGBT movement is proving more influential with far, far fewer numbers than Islam. In fact, the latest ludicrous jackboot tyranny -- the transgender issue -- is being perpetrated on 99.7% of the American public by a paltry .3%. That's not 3%, that's .3%. Three-tenths of a percent who identify as "transgender." Yet hypocritical multinational corporations, organizations, governments, and public figures are risking their entire reputations and fortunes in an effort to force their skewed values on every person in the United States. To them, it doesn't matter what the average American believes or thinks! Why? It makes no sense. Unless these are the end-times. That is one of the characteristics of the end-times predicted by the Bible prophets -- that the wrong would be called right and the right would be called wrong. Last year, we observed the 50th anniversary of the Six Day War. 50 years ago last June, in 1967, a brief war erupted between Israel, Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. The world has never been the same. This week, I'll reminisce a bit about that crucial event. Finally, I want to discuss Christ's authority. Most Christians have some vague concept of the power and authority that belong to Jesus, but they can't put their finger on just how He got His authority or how it relates to them. I cannot think of another truth that has been more foundational to my whole understanding of God's working in my life than the truth of Christ's victorious defeat of Satan. It's impossible to appreciate your position of victory in Christ until you know how He won His victory over your three great enemies: the world, the flesh, and the Devil. Daily Jot: Encouragement during these prophetic times - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com As the election draws near, the headlines in the news appear to be more shrill and threatening. Democrats are supporting the invading caravan of illegal immigrants amassing at the border. The Middle East is in an uproar with "Palestinians" rioting against Israel, hints are surfacing of a US-sponsored "peace" plan that could divide Israel in half, and Saudi Arabia, Turkey and America are all in a diplomatic uproar over a murdered journalist. Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia are recovering from horrible natural disasters. Several unusual earthquakes have stricken Canada. These are among the very prophetically significant events that are accelerating around the world. Yet the preachers are preaching self-improvement, prosperity, personal empowerment, self-indulgence, and strange theologies. The politicians are bringing about wars and rumors of wars. There are earthquakes, famines and pestilences and persecutions. Jesus prophesied these things would come about. In Luke 21:8,9, Jesus said, "Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draws near: go ye not therefore after them. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by." Jesus said that during these times (Verses 16, 17), "And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake." You see, Jesus is telling us of the days to come. They are not going to be easy from the world's eye view. Those who speak in the name of Jesus and preach that false hope that as a Christian all things are going to go well, are false teachers. In fact, Jesus tells us in Luke 21:12 that we will be delivered up to the authorities for His name's sake. Verse 13 says, "And it shall turn to you for a testimony." In fact, as the days of the world grow worse and worse, and the persecutions increase as do the signs of the times, Jesus has these words of comfort in verses 18-19, "But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls." Jesus promises when he lays out the Great Commission in Matthew 28 that he will never leave you nor forsake you. He also says of your clothing, food and needs in Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." We are to be about our Father's business, seeking the kingdom of God, seizing opportunities for a testimony. We should see these times as a time of victory rather than through a lens of fear. Be encouraged! Daily Devotion: Happily Even After - By Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. -Genesis 2:24 J. Paul Getty, one of the wealthiest men who ever lived, once said that he would gladly give all his millions for just one lasting marital success. But is a happy marriage even possible in our culture today? The divorce rate is around 50 percent, more or less. That rises for second marriages, which fail at a rate of 60 percent. For third marriages, the rate goes up to 73 percent. I haven't been divorced, but I've seen it up close. My mother was married and divorced seven times. I know about the devastation of divorce, and I want to do everything I can to encourage married couples to honor their commitment for a lifetime. A survey conducted among Millennials found that 43 percent would support what they call a beta marriage model, which means testing the relationship for two years before deciding whether to commit to it or dissolve it. And 36 percent of the Millennials backed the real estate marriage model in which couples would commit to a set period of time, ranging from five to thirty years. At the end of that time, they would renegotiate if they wanted to remain married. Here's why the real estate and beta models are not going to work. Studies show that those who live together before marriage have a far higher divorce rate than those who don't live together. In fact, couples who live together are losing out in 85 percent of their marriages. So if you want to set up your marriage for failure, then live together. Better yet, try God's model, which is a lifelong commitment. I wish we could strike the word divorce from our vocabularies. If you're going to go into marriage thinking that you'll get out of it eventually, then don't get married. Stay single instead. FROM THE HEART

"Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ.
