11 "And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live." (Revelation 13:11-14) I was reading about the coming One World Government that is in the planning stages right now through the new U.N. Charter of Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development and wondered to my self, "How will the world fall sway to the likes of the Anti-Christ and how will it start?" I've spoken of this before, but the Lord laid it on my heart to sound the warning again. There are three foundations that must be in place for the Anti-Christ to rise. there will have to be a one world economy. No borders, and all sovereignty of any nation will be submissive to the economy of the coming cashless society. There will have to be something present that will steer all the nations to one leader that will come, and the man, called the "false prophet" will be the mouthpiece that brings all nations under one "king" or dictator and he will use "religion" as the beginning of the next foundation stone, by using a One World Religion to unite them. Total control of all functions of government over the entire world that combines religion, government, and the economy into one Satanic effort to rule the world through sinful men. Those are the foundation stones that will bring about the rise of the Anti-Christ, but how do we get from here to there? Let us explore the wide road that will lead to the destruction of this world we call earth. According to Bible prophecy, these three foundations must be in place before the Anti-Christ will rise to power. THE RISE OF ISLAM Back in 1979, when Iran first came upon the scene by capturing American hostages and the Mullahs of Iran formed a theocracy by overthrowing the Shah of Iran, they created what many believed were nothing but a bunch of Persian and Arab nations that embraced a 1400 year old primitive "religion" that was not a threat to any Western nation that held onto democratic principles of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". Without making a formal declaration, Islam had declared war on the rest of the world they called "infidels" and had their target placed on the Great Satan (America) and the little Satan (Israel). For the last 37 years, Islam has grown worldwide as the 2nd largest "religion" on earth by the sword, or by blinding those who look for something to fill that empty void inside of their own lives and have looked to Islam, as they have rejected Christianity because mainly, they see idolatry and hypocrisy within it's ranks. The formal church within Christiandom as fallen into "luke warm" apostasy and it has done nothing but send the young and impressionable likes of this last generation into its evil clutches. Islam now is the fastest growing "religion" in America. As the opening title suggest, there has been a strong push to unite the world under one banner. Such an effort has seen one man visiting Muslim mosques and praying along with the Imam of the mosque to a "god" they both claim to be the same God we serve, Jehovah, Yahweh, or God Almighty. He has been trying to convince the religions of the world, found mainly in Christianity to unite and embrace one another in a show of unity. The cry is "come back to the mother church". Without me saying a word, you should now know who I am referring to. The present pope, namely pope Francis has been on a world-wide swing to unite all faiths into one religion and makes pilgrimages to Muslim countries to convince those of this pagan religion to come together as "brothers" in a blend of both Christianity and Islam, coining the name Chrislam. This pope by his actions, tries to convince with soft words and logic that both of the two major religions of the world serve the same God. Allah is god, Jehovah is God, and they are one and and the same! But let us compare these two deities that billions of people worship. Are they the same? (one true, one is false) Guess which is which? Jehovah, (Yahweh) is a God of grace and mercy. The Bible says that God is Love! "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him." (1st John 4:16) The Holy Attributes of the true God of the Bible is a God without sin, perfect, Holy, omnipresent, omniscient, all knowing, Creator of the Universe who gave His only Begotten Son as a ransom for the sins of mankind. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) "Be ye holy, for I am Holy" 1st Peter 1:16 Yet, the Pope would have us believe that this "allah" is the same Holy Being we read in our bible. What are the attributes of "allah"? Allah was one of many "gods" worshiped in pagan Arabia at the time of Mohammed. Mohammed got rid of all gods, but one which was worshipped as the moon goddess. By attributes, this god has feminine characteristics, but was changed to a male that made women inferior. Allah is a "god" of war. To demand "jihad" or holy war to convert all other people of other religions to Islam by the sword. He demands that you sacrifice yourself in acts of murder and martyrdom to promote the "religion" and to die in his service is to be rewarded paradise where you will be waited upon by 77 virgins to fulfill you every wish of the physical including your sexual needs. This allah, denies he has a son, as his "prophet" Mohammed said that allah has no son, so they deny the deity of Jesus Christ and reduce Him to a prophet or a teacher. Islam claims that this "allah" has 99 different attributes that fly in the face of the God of the Bible and His Ten Commandments for righteous living. Just on these few attributes, one can see that there is a vast difference between a God of love, and a god of war and murder. But note that the "false prophet" will speak as a dragon although giving the false impression of being righteous and a leader of purity and holiness as of a lamb. 1) He will claim authority over pure Christianity. The references to 'the lamb' are pretty much self-explanatory. It is a reference to something 'like' Christianity, but a counterfeit. . . . "he spake as a dragon." (Revelation 13:11) 2) It will share political power with the first beast. "And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him." 3) Participation will be mandatory. "cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed." (Revelation 13:15)The method employed by the false prophet's religious system as the penalty for refusing conversion is decapitation. "and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast." (Revelation 20:4) For more than a 1000 years, the Catholic church has used various means to destroy opposition to it's rule of the earth. It has been a blend of political and religious theological ideas, but that is where the similiarities end. I believe the Catholic church will rise again, and impose another Grand Inquisition to dwarf that of the Dark Ages of Europe. Yet, there is another religion that fits John description of death by beheading like a glove. Islam claims to be the third and final revelation from God that give it authority over Christians and Jews. Islam is not just a religion, but a political system that fulfills the first two points above of the rise of a One World Religion better than the Vatican can be alone. Through Sharia law, Islam is a religion of the sword, that has used decapitation as the supreme penalty for not submitting to their hateful religion. Even the name Islam is interpreted as "submission" and on its use of Sharia law fulfills point three above. So fulfilling point 3 is a matter of existing religious doctrine -- not a new doctrine forced upon an existing system by a mad pope. BUT WHERE WILL THE ANTI-CHRIST COME FROM? I have explored many avenues that this "man of sin" could come from, but I am beginning to believe that it is more likely that the man is either a closet Muslim, or a moderate Muslim that will come upon the scene and promoted by none other than the false prophet who will blend all religions, Islam and Christianity into one relgion, called Chrislam. But in the middle of the coming Tribulation, the Anti-Christ will eventually reject all forms of religion based on worship of himself, and indwelt by Satan himself and sit in the Temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. Why do I say he could possibly be Muslim? The prophet Daniel identifies the antichrist as being of "the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary." (Daniel 9:26) Hence the interpretation that the antichrist comes to power through some form of a revived Roman Empire that serves as a de facto global government. In this generation, the countries of the old Roman Empire united under the banner of the European Union, uniting Europe as a single empire for the first time since the fall of Rome. So is the popular belief, but is that entirely true, or is there more in this slight of hand the devil doesn't want us to focus on? There is a point at which people live in the dark willfully as a result of self-imposed ignorance and I think this is it. That's sad to me. Alas, I lament that so many lovers of prophecy are missing the very things they have been longing to see! Watching people look for the rise of the Antichrist's kingdom in Europe while it's forming right now in the Middle East is the closest we will come to watching the Jews miss the First Advent of Christ while He was standing right before them. They, too, were looking in a different geographic area. As history shows us, Titus who became Emperor Titus, destroyed the Temple in 70 AD. Now we know that Roman soldiers burned the Temple to the ground and any structures left standing where taken down to reveal any gold that was present, to even the stones leading to the Temple structure. Understand that the Roman soldiers were not "Italian" by ethnicity, although they came from "Rome" they were of Middle Easter descent. They were a conglomeration of many cultures that adhered to Roman authority and law. Many within their legions that could have been Arabs or even Persian, or some other race that hated the Jews. Note that the Anti-Christ is called the Assyrian? Micah 5:5-6 NASB "This One [Jesus] will be our peace. When the Assyrian invades our land, When he tramples on our citadels, Then we will raise against him Seven shepherds and eight leaders of men. 6, They will shepherd the land of Assyria with the sword, The land of Nimrod at its entrances; And He will deliver us from the Assyrian When he attacks our land And when he tramples our territory. Jesus will come to Israel's aid when the Assyrian invades. So, the question for you to consider is, has there ever been a time in history when Jesus has led an army against Assyria to save Israel from an invasion? What is the implication, then? Since this has never happened in history, the implication is that when Jesus returns, He will defend Israel against the invading Assyrian, or the Antichrist. Why is he called the Assyrian? Well, logic suggests that in order to be called an Assyrian you must come from Assyria. So, where was Assyria and what are the modern-day countries that inhabit this geographic area? If we identify these things, we can know the geographic location of the Antichrist's kingdom. The Assyrian Empire, the second Biblical World Kingdom, encompassed Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Jordan, Iran and Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Notice the glaring relationship between them all? They are all today, Islamic. THE POLITICAL IMPLICATIONS FOR THE USA AND EUROPE Note also, that since the failed so called "Arab Spring" that this present POTUS so foolishly began, terrorism has gone rampant. For all the dictators that have fallen, that kept the people in check, out of the chaos has risen the likes of ISIS. The purpose and the objective of ISIS or for that matter, Islam in general is to rule the world. But there is one problem, the Western nations of the North American Western Hemisphere. ISIS is reported to be on our border, and has committed acts of violence and bloodshed in various places like San Bernadino, Orlando, Baltimore, Boston and surely there are plans for more. Now comes the insanity of it all. Refugees from the failed Syrian state of President Assad have all but infiltrated our borders with these people who we don't know if they are members of ISIS or not. But make no mistake, whether they are or are not terrorist among them, the population that embrace Islam is anathema to our way of life. And to further this insanity, we have allowed tens of thousands of these refugees to enter into our country and the next Democrat, if she be so sadly elected, plans to increase that amount by 500%...you heard right....with all the terror that is in the world, the idiots in Washington D.C. who think they know what is good for us, are inviting our conquerors to come invade our land. And take over. It will be a brutal war for them to finally take over this country and impose Sharia law as the law of the land. That's where we are headed folks. IT IS ALL COMING TOGETHER IN OUR LIFETIME As began this journey, we began with the foundation stone, a religious order that will spread world-wide. To embrace all religions by one religious leader who the world trains their ears to listen to every word he says. This man will promote a One World Religion with a blending of all religions into one super religion called Chrislam. Again, why Chrislam? Why blend the two together? Short answer: Power! The concept is likely to be embraced by a few non-fundamentalists on either side of the divide, such as Universalists, Unitarians and maybe some Buddhists. There are Hindus and Shinto faithful who are willing to add Christianity and Islam to their belief spectrum - rejecting that there is any single path to God. However, Christianity has at its very core that Jesus is the only way to heaven - and that eternal salvation is a gift of grace, earned for mankind by Christ's crucifixion. Islam holds the firm view that eternal damnation awaits those who do not earn salvation by submitting to the requirements of the Koran, which describes Jesus as a noteworthy prophet who didn't really die on the cross. Right now it is already flourishing in places like Africa. In Nigeria, a "preacher" Shamsuddin Saka seeks to bridge the religious divide. It doesn't take much to spark religious violence in the West African nation of Nigeria. Just this past weekend, rioting erupted in the town of Bauchi after Muslims parked their cars in front of a church. Bauchi lies along a line between Nigeria's mainly Muslim north and the Christian south. Tensions in the region often spill over into violence, but one man is trying to bridge the gap. He preaches a liturgy that blends Christianity and Islam. Saka preaches that Christians and Muslims are both children of Abraham - which is historically accurate, according to both the Bible, the Koran and DNA studies. Saka was born Muslim, and, the PRI report notes: " it was after returning from a Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca that he was inspired - he says instructed by God - to launch his new ministry: "That was about 19 years ago. I was praying and I [laid] down and the Lord told me, make peace between Christian and Muslim." But from what is happening in Africa, and what the Pope is preaching to his Catholic parishes it's the perfect vehicle to bring all religions into a one world religion united and led by one man in the religious affair of the coming One World order, the pope of Rome. Already the pope is wooing the likes of Evangelicals Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, and even from reports, Rick Warren to come home to the Catholic Church. ANTI-CHRIST COMES ON THE SCENE What unites a people, any people into a cohesive unit? Either in a community, a state, a nation, or thinking on a grand scale, the world? To control the people, you must have something in common, a uniting principle. To gather all the religious orders of the world into one, you must blend the two largest religions into one and have a spokesman that the world will listen to. The pope is not only a religious leader, he is a political leader that nations actually listen to. Accomplish this and you can begin the foundation of controlling the economy and promoting a cashless society, although they may go hand in hand. If the coming Anti-Christ is indeed Islamic, then the spokesman of the one world religion will promote him as a leader of the secular world, because in word, the man will embrace this new religion, Chrislam to his own advantage for power and control. The bible says that they will join forces for a temporary amount of time. This religious personage actively promotes worship of the Beast and does miracles in the context of religion to deceive people. A woman in the Bible is a symbol of a church organization. "And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. 7And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. 8The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. 9And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth." (Revelation 17:4-8) Who has killed millions in the name of her religion and drank the blood of saints? Yes, the answer: the Catholic church!! In Revelation 17, the Woman is controlling the Beast, bringing the worship of the coming Anti-Christ. But even then, she and the Beast are, in fact, antagonists competing against each other. Furthermore, she is heavily involved in politics (influencing kings), manufacturing, shipping, craftsmanship, and merchandising. That has been the focus of the Catholic Church since the Middle Ages. The Woman indeed has a relationship with the Beast, but she is not part of the politics, economics, or military of the Beast. She and the Beast are separate entities, even though both are part of the overall one world system. The Catholic Church has always been part of the Beast, influencing it from within. Conversely, the Woman is portrayed as an external influence, competing with, riding, and at some point exercising control of the Beast. WHEN WILL THIS BE FINALLY COMPLETE The plans are already in the works, using the false narrative of "Climate Change". The U.N. has drawn up plans that the whole world will follow ultimately. Their spokesman at this time, is the pope in Rome. But the final draft and implementation will not be complete until the Anti-Christ is actually revealed and I am a firm believer that we won't even see who the man is. We may have a good idea, but to see Chrislam flourish all over the world, the economy being controlled by a central government, and the Anti-Christ to come to the forefront of the poltical, secular world will not happen until the Church is removed from this earth. We may see the signs of it coming clearer and clearer and we MAY, I say MAY see what men will attempt to put in place before Christ comes for His Church, but most all of this will happen when the Holy Spirit is removed from His fullness found in His people who occupy the true Church of blood born and washed Christians bought and paid for by our Lord Jesus Christ. 6"And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." (2nd Thessalonians 2:6-12) My friend, you are seeing the beginning of the coming New World order...it begins with economic and religious underpinnings that must be in place, before the Anti-Christ can be revealed and dominates the world. With the false prophet scheming and using false miracles to convince the masses that a "False Christ" has indeed arrived, be he proclaimed as the Mahdi of Islam, or deceptive adherent to any religion, either Christian, Muslim, or Chrislam, he will worship none of them, because he advances only his agenda and his complete control of the world. And both aspects of each system are working feverishly to bring it to pass. 36 "And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. 37Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. 38But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. 39Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain." (Daniel 11:36-39) I have spoken on this subject many times, but warnings must abound as the time grows closer to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. As Paul warned in 2nd Thessalonians about "he will let will let, till HE be taken out of the way", God can send His Son at any moment in time. I have believed it will be on a certain day of the Feast days of the Lord in some future year, per many sermons on the subject, but God is sovereign, and can do His own will and His plans are perfect. Should you be so foolish to stand by and see the moral and economic collapse of this nation, and the world around you, and not think "it can't last this way much longer", then you play Russian Roulette with your very soul. Jesus could come at any moment in time and your chance of being found washed in His blood and forgiven your sins, this side of the Tribulation will just have vanished. I wouldn't take the chance for "all the tea in China". Your soul is that important, as it will live forever, either in God's presence, or banished from His sight to be tormented for all eternity. The tribulation is right at the door. But before that happens, our Lord Jesus Christ will sound a trumpet cry: 51"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53, For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal mustput on immortality. 54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?"(1st Corinthians 15:51-55) Don't be caught unaware. There is no excuse for denying what has been taught as long as I've been alive and before...all have heard. Some believed, some have rejected the free gift of salvation that is there for the asking. "(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) 2nd Corinthians 6:2) Take that offering of the free gift of God, before your chance during the Age of Grace comes to a final close. To receive Jesus in the coming Tribulation, most likely will mean your death by that terrible way to die...decaptitation after unspeakable torture. "And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, even of the first-fruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the turn of the year." Exodus 34:22 (The Israel Bible™) While most understand the sukkah, the temporary booth Jews build on the holiday of Sukkot, to be a physical manifestation of spirituality, End Times expert Rabbi Pinchas Winston revealed in a recent interview that the sukkah is actually deeply connected to the coming of the Messianic age, helping Jews to prepare spiritually for what is to come. This Sukkot, which began last Sunday, the message is clearer than ever as the chaotic "birthpangs" of Messiah become visible to the world. Rabbi Winston spoke about the connection between the End of Days and the holiday of Sukkot, which is currently being observed in Israel, in an interview with Tamar Yonah of Israel News Talk Radio. This relationship between the sukkah and the body makes it possible to prepare for the Messianic Age, taught Rabbi Pinchas in the interview. The fact that the sukkah is so temporary, lasting only the seven days of the festival holiday (eight days outside of Israel), has hidden spiritual messages. Rabbi Winston explained, "Don't forget, in the upcoming year, or the rest of your life for that matter, that this world is temporary. Just like you existed before the sukkah went up and you will exist after the sukkah comes down, so will your soul." Rabbi Winston spoke about how the Jewish mystical tradition divides time into three periods: Olam HaZeh (this world), the Messianic Era and Olam haBa (the world to come). He explained that the transition between Olam haZeh and the Messianic Era is called Chevlei Moshiach (the birthpangs of the Messiah) and is characterized by chaos. We are currently in this transition period, which explains the apparent chaos in the world right now. Rabbi Winston mentioned the current US Presidential election as an example of the chaos that marks this transition. Rabbi Winston taught that, according to the mystical understanding, the underlying purpose of the chaos is "to polarize the world, to force people to make a decision whether they are more spiritual or more physical. What's their biggest priority?" The cut-off point for choosing a spiritual existence over a primarily physical one is the war of Gog and Magog. "Who survives and who doesn't survive, according to the Zohar (the foundational text of Jewish mysticism), will be based upon the choice the person made prior to the actual event itself," he stated. This choice is what Rabbi Winston calls "the final test of history". He reminds us that whatever is coming, whether it's Nibiru, nuclear war, Gog and Magog or another end times scenario, it will be "massive" and Divine protection will be required to survive it all. This idea of Divine protection connects Sukkot to the End of Days, the rabbi explained. According to traditional Jewish thought, the temporary booths we build during Sukkot are a symbol of the ananei hakavod (the Divine Clouds of Glory) with which God protected the Israelites against all the dangers in the desert. The Mekhilta, an ancient commentary on the Book of Exodus, teaches that there were seven clouds. Four surrounded the Israelites on each side, protecting them from Egyptian enemies and animal predators. A fifth cloud was above them, protecting them from the blazing sun. A sixth cloud was below their feet, which made walking across the rough surface of the desert possible. The seventh cloud passed in front of them, miraculously "leveling the valleys and flattening the mountains." According to Rabbi Winston, just as God took care of the Israelites completely in the desert, so He will care of us in the End of Days, if we are willing to rely on Him completely. Thus, dwelling in the sukkah represents reliance on Divine protection and complete trust in God, a quality that will be crucial for surviving the End of Days.

(First printing June 3, 2016, September 2016 distribution, World Bible Society) Jerusalem (God's Heart) Scripture tells us that God's Name, His eyes and His heart are forever tied to Jerusalem-His chosen city. "Thus says the Lord GOD: This is Jerusalem; I have set her in the midst of the nations and the countries all around her" (Ezekiel 5:5). "Yet I [God] have chosen Jerusalem, that My name might be there...For now I have chosen and sanctified this house [the Temple], that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually...In this house of God and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever" (2 Chronicles 6:6, 7:16, 33:7b). "The burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel, thus declares the LORD who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him, 'Behold I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and the siege is against Jerusalem, it will be against Judah. And it will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it'" (Zechariah 12:1-3). The previous passages explicitly state that Jerusalem is God's beloved favored, Holy City. Jerusalem is the pivotal point in these last days. Anyone who comes against Jerusalem or tries to take it from the Jewish people is guaranteed to experience the Lord's fury. Jerusalem belongs to the God of the Bible-to Israel. Attempts to internationalize this sacred city will result in total mayhem: The final battle (campaign) of Armageddon. Tremendous history revolves around God's City, the "City of the great King" as cited in Matthew 5:35. Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus the Christ) has a special love for Jerusalem and spent much time there when he was here on earth. "When they had finished the days, as they returned, the Boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem. And Joseph and His mother did not know it" (Luke 2:43). "Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name when they saw the signs which He did" (John 2:23). "From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day" (Matthew 16:21). Jesus Wept for Jerusalem "When He [Jesus] approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it" (Luke 19:41). Jesus placed His eternal mark in Jerusalem. It was in very close proximity to this blessed city where He suffered on the Cross for all mankind-so we could be redeemed and reconciled unto Him. It is just outside the walls of ancient Jerusalem that the Lord Jesus paved the way to eternal glory through His blood sacrifice at Golgotha-where He was brutally beaten, crucified, buried, resurrected and then ascended into heaven. The Christian church was established in Jerusalem (Acts 1:4; 12; 2:1-40). We wait for Him to return and take His rightful place on the throne of King David. According to Scripture, God started the creation of His universe in Jerusalem (the Foundation Stone as cited in Isaiah). "Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste" (Isaiah 28:16). Jerusalem is the most recorded name of a city in the Bible. The Pentateuch (first five books of the Bible) refers to Moriah as the location of the binding of Isaac, and 2 Chronicles 3:1 connects this to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. "Jerusalem is surrounded by mountains as God surrounds his people forever" (Psalm 125:3). "The builder of Jerusalem is God, the outcast of Israel he will gather in...Praise God O Jerusalem, laud your God O Zion" (Psalm 147:2-12). As recorded in the New Testament, Jerusalem is the city to which Jesus was brought as a child to be presented at the Temple (Luke 2:22) and to attend festivals (Luke 2:41). According to the Canonical gospels (the first four books of the New Testament), Jesus preached and healed in Jerusalem, especially in the Temple Courts. Jerusalem historian, Dan Mazar reported in a series of articles in the Jerusalem Christian Review on the archaeological discoveries made at this location by his grandfather, Professor Benjamin Mazar, which included the 1st century stairs of ascent, where Jesus and his disciples preached, as well as the "mikvaot" (or baptismals) used by both Jewish and Christian pilgrims. The events of Pentecost, which are recorded in the New Testament in the book of Acts, also took place at this location. There is also an account of Jesus' cleansing of the Temple at the Temple Court, chasing various traders out of the sacred precincts. "And Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple. So when He had looked around at all things, as the hour was already late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve" (Mark 11:11). "So they came to Jerusalem. Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves" (Mark 11:15). God's heart calls to humanity to be reconciled unto Him. It is in Jerusalem that the last war on earth will be fought. It is in Jerusalem where the Lord Jesus will once and for all destroy His enemies. Jerusalem is where Satan's reign of terror upon humanity will come to an abrupt end. When Jerusalem is on the brink of total annihilation at the end of the seven-year Tribulation, Jesus the Messiah's majestic descent from heaven followed by His heavenly armies will shock the godless survivors. The roaring Lion of Judah will smite the nations and all those who fight against Him, first in Bozrah (Isaiah 63:1) and then on to Jerusalem. The rejuvenated millennial Jerusalem is where the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords will make his headquarters during His literal one-thousand-year millennial reign, and from where His glory will emanate to all the nations. Jerusalem is where the millennial nations will seek to travel and "pray before the Lord," fulfilling Zechariah's prophecy-even taking hold of the garment of a Jew, expressing great reverence. "Thus saith the Lord of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts: I will go also. Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord. Thus saith the Lord of hosts; in those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you." (Zechariah 8:20-23). Jerusalem is God's eternal City. The enemies of God should be frightened, indeed. But instead we see arrogant and deceitful posturing by these representatives of Satan; one diabolical scheme after another all designed to destroy the City of God. The U.S. State Department denounced the latest terrorist attack in Jerusalem by condemning "the statements glorifying this reprehensible and cowardly attack." At first, it might seem like good news President Barack Obama's administration finally acknowledged and criticized the horrendous glorification of terrorist attacks we read about almost every day. Until you notice the State Department forgot to mention one little thing--the identity of those it condemned. Who exactly has been making statements "glorifying" the attack? Who called the terrorist a hero and a martyr? Who defended and justified the murder of an Israeli Jewish grandmother? The answer is Fatah, whose chairman is Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas. The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) created the PA in 1994 to govern territories from which Israel was withdrawing. Yasser Arafat, head of the PLO, was the first head of the PA. After he died, Abbas succeeded him. The PLO consists of eight terrorist organizations, Fatah being the largest. Arafat was chairman of Fatah and the PLO. Following his death, Abbas become chairman of Fatah and the PLO. In other words, Abbas--hailed as a "moderate" by the Obama administration, the United Nations and the international news media--is chairman of the movement that is spearheading the glorification of the Jerusalem terrorist attack. Within hours of the most recent Oct. 9 attack, Fatah's Facebook page featured a large, full-color cartoon depicting a hand with a machine gun waving from the top of Jerusalem's Dome of the Rock. On the ground below are two Israeli army helmets in a pool of blood. They represent Israeli police officer Yosef Kirme, 29 and the grandmother, Levanah Malichi, 60, murdered in the attack. Evidently, Fatah regards Israeli grandmothers as soldiers. Fatah's Facebook page also featured an announcement praising "the shahid (martyr) Musbah Abu Sbeih, the one who carried out the operation." Abbas's Fatah uses the word "operation" when referring to terrorist attacks. That's because it doesn't consider murdering Israelis as terrorism. Palestinian Media Watch notes, "Defining a dead murderer as a shahid indicates that, according to Fatah, the murder of Israelis is sanctioned and even desired in the name of Islam." The Fatah posting described the terrorist as "one of the most prominent people in Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque." It said the charges Sbeih was recently convicted of in Israeli court constituted "ribat," an Islamic term referring to praiseworthy religious conflicts over Muslim land. The posting further justified his attack, claiming "the occupation authorities persecuted him." Abbas's Fatah further justified the attack by falsely claiming, "The occupation government...is granting permission to the settlers to invade it, defile it, and desecrate its sanctity on a daily basis under the umbrella and protection of the occupation police." False claims about Jews "defiling" other people's religious sites have been used throughout the ages to stir up anti-Jewish hatred and violence. It's called blood libel. At the same time, the Jerusalem branch of Abbas's Fatah issued a call to Arab shopkeepers to go on strike "in memory of the souls of the martyrs of Palestine and this morning's martyr." The PA's official Voice of Palestine Radio broadcast called for the strike "due to the death of the Shahid Abu Sbeih." So why won't the Obama administration acknowledge the truth about what Abbas's Fatah is doing? Why won't it refer to Abbas and Fatah by name? Because here's what would happen. Obama would have to put Fatah back on the U.S. list of terrorist groups. (Supporting and encouraging terrorism is one of the criteria for getting on the list.) He would have to stop giving Abbas $500 million each year, since it's against the law to give U.S. funds to terrorist groups. And Obama would have to give up his dream of forcing Israel to permit the creation of a Palestinian state led by Abbas, Fatah and the PA. Obama's political agenda--his entire policy concerning Israel and the Palestinian Arabs--conflicts with telling the truth about Fatah. No matter how loudly Abbas's Fatah cheers for terrorists, the Obama administration will never do more than make vague allusions to "the statements glorifying this reprehensible and cowardly attack," without ever identifying who is doing the glorifying.

For many years, the UN has been a mouthpiece of nations that hate Israel. This organization has passed an endless number of resolutions that seek to defame Israel- mostly for defending its right to exist. Last week, UNESCO, the Paris-based UN cultural body, attacked Israel's history by approving a resolution that said the Temple Mount and the Wailing Wall have no historic connection to the Jews. The measure was put forward by several Arab countries, including Egypt, Lebanon and Algeria. There were 24 votes cast in favor and six against with 26 abstentions and two absentees. The U.S. voted against the resolutions. With the presidential election less than a month away, the Obama Administration had no choice but to play it safe. The State Department issued this voice of opposition: "We are deeply concerned about these kinds of recurring politicized resolutions that do nothing to advance constructive results on the ground and we don't believe they should be adopted," spokesman Mark Toner said. UNESCO chief Irina Bokova has herself expressed reservations about the resolutions. Radical Muslims had threatened to kill her if she blocked a final vote on the draft. Bokova tried to distance herself from the controversy by saying "Nowhere more than in Jerusalem do Jewish, Christian and Muslim heritage and traditions share space." Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blasted UNESCO; saying the body has lost its legitimacy. "To say that Israel has no connection to the Temple Mount and Western Wall is like saying China has no connection to the Great Wall of China or Egypt has no connection to the pyramids," said Netanyahu. There must be some type of brain virus going around that's causing international organizations to lose touch with reality. A couple days after the UNESCO vote, the Nobel prize committee announced that rock legend Bob Dylan would receive this year's prize for literature. He will be the first musician to be awarded the Nobel Prize in literature. The Jews connection to Jerusalem goes back 3000 years. The religion that Muhammad dreamt up didn't come along until 610 AD. The idea of Jerusalem's Old City being Islam's third holiest is the product of a recent rewriting of history. There is no mention of Jerusalem in the Koran. Islamic scholars ignored this city for hundreds of years. It wasn't until the Jews started coming back to the Holy Land that Islam suddenly discovered Jerusalem's importance. The Old and New Testament clearly state that Jerusalem is a Jewish city. Since God Himself made this declaration, UNESCO would need to call the Lord of heaven a liar to change the city's heritage. "The Lord appeared to Abram and said, 'To your descendants I will give this land'" (Genesis 12:7a). We may soon find that UNESCO has come out with a revised edition of the Bible: "And Jesus went into the Al-Aqsa Mosque Temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the Al-Aqsa Mosque Temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves" (Matthew 21:12). This struggle over the Jewishness of God's Holy City can also be found in various reference sites on the Internet. On Wikipedia's "Jerusalem" page, previously well-known facts are now qualified with openers like this: "According to the Bible, King David's son Solomon built the Holy Temple." And, "Because of the status quo policy, the Wall is the holiest place for Jews." Instead of going by a mountain of artifacts that point to Jerusalem's Jewish past, you find statements that say "Jewish nationalists (Zionists), who claim the right to the city based on Jewish descent." Articles about the Jewish Temple Mount now have to include Arab names of this location. When you bring up an article about the "Al-Aqsa Mosque," there are no Hebrew names and there is only a brief reference citing the Temple Mount as the holiest site of Judaism. I recently found a YouTube video titled, "10 Countries You Didn't Know Existed." Most of these nations are unrecognized because they are ignored by the rest of the world. Some of them have their own money, government, and language. Their dreams of statehood go unrealized partly because the UN is too busy worrying about a host of trivial matters related to Israel. The willingness of UNESCO to defy basic logic over the history of Jerusalem would seem to indicate that we are close to the end. "Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it" (Zechariah 12:2-3).

Oh, this election. How it's brought out the worst in everyone, including the two people running for office. As crazy as the last few months leading up to the election have been, I haven't felt inspired to write anything about it...until now. The recording of Trump making vulgar and lewd comments about women is bringing me out of my election silence. But not for the reason you might think. In the past few days, I've watched with amazement as scores of articles denouncing Trump's character have been shared on social media by my liberal friends. They are rightly outraged at what he said. But these are the same friends who are pro-choice, support transgender bathroom choice, believe there's no problem with sex outside of marriage, and think that not supporting same-sex marriage is bigotry. Liberal America, from whence does this hodgepodge of moral views come, other than from your own fickle liking? Should not your moral outrage be tempered to the whisper of an opinion by the realization that, without a belief in God, you haven't an objective foot to stand on? This week's showcase of moral confusion from our collective society demonstrates how few people bother to consider the basis for their moral convictions. As Christian parents, it's our responsibility to raise our kids with feet firmly planted on objective moral ground. But what does that mean when they're growing up in a country ruled by moral confusion? First, it means we must proactively teach our kids how to think critically about the nature of morality...unlike the world around them. You know what kind of political comment I never see? Something like this: "Now, let me say up front that this is just my personal opinion, and my opinion only, because I don't believe in any revealed religion and therefore realize I have no basis for believing there is an objective standard of morality that applies to all people. So, if you disagree with me, your view is just as valid as mine, because in a world without such objective standards, everything is a matter of opinion. With that acknowledgement, out of the way, I just want to say that I think what Trump said is so morally outrageous! Again, that's just according to my opinion, and if you think what he said is totally fine, your view is valid as well." Ahem. That is certainly not the kind of (consistent) thinking that is found in popular culture. Instead, secular America treats morality as a grab-bag of whatever the mainstream likes, while condemning those who disagree as if there were some objective basis for that morality in a world without God. This. Is. Confusion. We have to teach our kids the logical moral implications of a theistic versus atheistic worldview. This isn't even about which worldview is correct. It's simply about consistent thinking. In a theistic worldview, there is an all-good God who is the objective standard of morality--His character defines what is good and evil for all people, regardless of personal opinion. This standard is what gives meaning to the words right and wrong. In an atheistic worldview, individuals can have a preference for what they think is right and wrong, but no one can claim a higher authority for that preference. I might say murder is wrong, for example, but I can only mean wrong in the weakest sense--"murder is wrong in my personal opinion." Someone else could legitimately claim that murder is great, and there would be no objective arbiter of morality between us; no one could say what we ought to do. Morality is simply subjective. If people were thinking in ways consistent with their worldview, we should see a lot more comments like my hypothetical one above. Second, it means we must teach our kids why there's good reason to believe the Bible is true. Let's say that you gift your kids with the critical thinking skills needed to understand the difference between objective and subjective morality, as I described above. That gives them the foundation for at least having consistent thinking, but it isn't sufficient for giving them an understanding of why there's good reason to believe it's the theistic worldview that offers the accurate picture of morality. For that, kids must have good reason to believe that the Bible is true. This means much more than a parent faithfully repeating that the Bible is God's word throughout a child's 18-plus years at home. It means thoroughly addressing why anyone should believe the truth claims of any book that claims to be divine revelation: How were the books in the Bible selected? Why were books left out of the Bible? How do we know we can trust the Bible's authors? How do we know the Bible we have today says what the authors originally wrote? Does the Bible have errors and contradictions? For more on these questions, see my post, Don't Expect Your Kids to Care What the Bible Says Unless You've Given Them Reason to Believe It's True. As that title suggests, our kids won't have any reason to base their moral understanding on God's word if they don't have the confidence that it's accurate in the morality it teaches. Third, it means we must give our kids experience applying their moral understanding to the social issues at the forefront of discussion today. My first two points address the theoretical knowledge kids need to engage with the world. But if we don't help them apply it to the actual social issues in the spotlight, it's like studying a manual on how to ride a bike without ever getting on one. All the foundational knowledge in the world can quickly get confused when presented with nuanced circumstances. For example, just today I saw someone on Facebook make the case that every person should be pro-choice, if only because some kids would otherwise be born into horrible families that will abuse them. Most people who have given thought to the abortion issue can see right through that (bad) logic, but if a child encountered such thinking for the first time, he or she might think it makes sense. Taking the opportunity to walk through individual social issues that involve moral questions can make an enormous difference in preparing kids to engage with a secular world. (Incidentally, I highly recommend Persuasive Pro Life: How to Talk about Our Culture's Toughest Issue as a great resource on the abortion subject.) Fourth, it means we must help our kids develop a willingness to boldly stand up for their beliefs. We should be leery of raising kids who will have all the right beliefs but have no guts to stand up for those beliefs in a hostile world. The two don't necessarily go hand-in-hand. I experienced that on a small scale this week. I heard through the grapevine that there's a child in my son's class at school who is being picked on by other kids. I pulled my son aside at home to talk about what he's seen and heard. He acknowledged that he had witnessed this happening, so I asked what he had done about it. Absolutely nothing. He knew it was wrong, and he didn't like what he saw, but he told me it's "too embarrassing" to say something to his friends. We had one of those overly looooong parenting talks, and I explained why it's so important to stand up for your beliefs even when it makes you uncomfortable. Two days later, on the way home from school, I noticed he had tears in his eyes. He told me that some kids were talking about doing something bothersome to that child again. But this time he told them to stop. And they did. Knowing what's right, doing what's right, and standing up for what's right are three different things that aren't automatically connected in our kids' minds and hearts. It's up to us to proactively draw those connections and raise kids who will be a light to the world rather than a light tucked away in a comfortable home.

Presidential debate moderator Chris Wallace said he wanted to clear up Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton's position on border security and immigration reform. He said, "..,in a speech you gave to a Brazilian bank, for which you were paid $225,000, we've learned from the WikiLeaks, that you said this, and I want to quote, "My dream is a hemispheric common market with open trade and open borders." So that's the question...Is that your dream, open borders? Clinton tried to discredit WikiLeaks by saying that it was a Russian conspiracy to influence the US elections, but she did say that "I do want us to have an electric grid, an energy system that crosses borders." This ignores her stance on bringing in thousands of un-vetted immigrants from Islamic nations that support terrorism and from across the Southern border of the US. Trump answered for Clinton, "She wants open borders. People are going to pour into our country. People are going to come in from Syria. She wants 550% more people than [sic the current "president"], and he has thousands and thousands of people." Then Clinton deterred the talk from immigration to Russian conspiracy, but the fact remains that her immigration policy is a continuation of the current "president's", but more as documented on her website. As Homeland Security head John Roth told the Senate in March, "we may be admitting individuals who wish to do us harm." This policy will continue under a Clinton Administration. Moreover, the Center for Immigration Studies has analyzed the "president's" immigration policy from data released by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The analysis concludes that since 2010, ICE has released 124 aliens who have been charged with 135 new homicides--some have been released multiple times. In 2014, ICE released a total of 30,558 criminal aliens. These aliens had already been convicted of 92,347 crimes before they were released by ICE. As of July 25, 2015, a total of 1,607 aliens had been convicted of a crime after being freed by ICE. The total number of new crimes for which these aliens were convicted after ICE released them was 2,560, including: 298 dangerous drug offenses, 185 assaults, 40 weapons offenses, 28 sex offenses, 10 sex assaults, four kidnappings, two arsons, and one homicide. It is obvious that these people do not wish to follow the law, nor do they want to assimilate as Americans. The political goal by Clinton is to promote anarchy to trigger socialist change. The Bible is very clear about how to handle immigrants. Exodus 22:21 says, "You shall neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him." This is repeated in Leviticus and Deuteronomy. In context, Exodus 12:49 says, "One law shall be to him that is home-born, and unto the foreigner who sojourns among you." This is also repeated in Numbers and Leviticus. One law for all. In this context, it is God's law, but these people neither want to submit to the laws of the nation or to God's laws. If they are here illegally, they have broken the law as their first act. Hard as it is, policymakers must address this, otherwise our country is in danger.

For who has despised the day of small things? -Zechariah 4:10 I remember when we were starting the Harvest Crusades, and it was a big leap of faith to go to the Pacific Amphitheatre. We went to a facility that seated some 15,000 people, but we took that leap of faith together. We prayed. We worked. And God honored it and blessed it as we saw the amphitheater filled each night. And on the final night, we even broke attendance records there, which had been previously held by some rock band. So, the next year we said, "Let's really go crazy. Let's go for the stadium." That is a big leap from a 15,000-seat venue to one that seated 50,000. But we didn't have the resources to do it. So, we prayed, "Lord, it would be kind of exciting to take that step of faith. If You want us to do it, then we pray that You'll provide." The next day we got a phone call from a committed Christian man who said, "I heard about what you are doing, and I would like to make an investment in your ministry. Is there anything I could give toward it?" We said, "Well, we're thinking about this stadium idea. . . ." He said, "Okay, I'll take care of that. I'll write you a check tomorrow." We always think about the failures. We prepare for failures. Then we are surprised when God brings success into our lives. When we take that gift He has given to us and say, "I want to use it for Your glory. I'm going to try this. Let's see what the Lord will do," that is when things happen.
