If you are reading this article, then you may be wondering why I am warning those "of" this world. You see, I am not of this world - I belong to Jesus Christ. I am in the world, but not of it. From gotquestions.org Question: "How can believers be in the world, but not of the world?" Answer: When we read of the "world" in the New Testament, we are reading the Greek word cosmos. Cosmos most often refers to the inhabited earth and the people who live on the earth, which functions apart from God. Satan is the ruler of this "cosmos" (John 12:31; 16:11; 1 John 5:19). By the simple definition that the word world refers to a world system ruled by Satan, we can more readily appreciate Christ's claims that believers are no longer of the world-we are no longer ruled by sin, nor are we bound by the principles of the world. In addition, we are being changed into the image of Christ, causing our interest in the things of the world to become less and less as we mature in Christ. Believers in Jesus Christ are simply in the world-physically present-but not of it, not part of its values (John 17:14-15). As believers, we should be set apart from the world. This is the meaning of being holy and living a holy, righteous life-to be set apart. We are not to engage in the sinful activities the world promotes, nor are we to retain the insipid, corrupt mind that the world creates. Rather, we are to conform ourselves, and our minds, to that of Jesus Christ (Romans 12:1-2). This is a daily activity and commitment. We must also understand that being in the world, but not of it, is necessary if we are to be a light to those who are in spiritual darkness. We are to live in such a way that those outside the faith see our good deeds and our manner and know that there is something "different" about us. Christians who make every effort to live, think and act like those who do not know Christ do Him a great disservice. Even the heathen knows that "by their fruits you shall know them," and as Christians, we should exhibit the fruit of the Spirit within us. Being "in" the world also means we can enjoy the things of the world, such as the beautiful creation God has given us, but we are not to immerse ourselves in what the world values, nor are we to chase after worldly pleasures. Pleasure is no longer our calling in life, as it once was, but rather the worship of God. In 1983, I realized that I was a lost sinner. I also realized that, if I had died a moment before I realized that I was a sinner, I would go to hell. I wanted to go to heaven when I died. Some Christians I had met told me all about Jesus and how He died for me. That night was the most amazing night of my entire life. God loved me! He wanted to forgive me so that I could be in His family. How glorious is that? He forgave me of all of my sins. I realized that Jesus' death on the Cross was payment for my sin - for all sin - for whosoever would believe on Him and place their trust in Him. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved" (John 3:16-17). Back to my warning to you if you are of the world: If you have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ, you can never say that again. You are reading it now. God does love you so much. He wants you to be in His family. Up till now, you have rejected Him. Only you know why you have not wanted to be part of God's family. Perhaps you think that you will lose friends and even family. I lost family. You see, I was brought up in a Jewish home. Most of my family has rejected me. The Lord allowed me the privilege of leading my father to Him. He is waiting for me in heaven. But the rest of my family has rejected me. Here is what Jesus says about that: "Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three. Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law" (Luke 12:51-53). Time is short. The Bible has hundreds of prophecies - many of which have already been fulfilled. But the prophecies in Revelation, Daniel and other places in the Word have yet to be fulfilled. There is a time coming called the Tribulation. The Bible says that the horrific events which will happen in the world during the Tribulation have never happened before, and will never happen again. The Church (of which I am a part) will be taken to heaven by Jesus Himself, and then the 'Tribulation' will begin. What is the Tribulation? From gotquestions.org Question: "What is the Tribulation? How do we know the Tribulation will last seven years?" Answer: The tribulation is a future seven-year period of time when God will finish His discipline of Israel and finalize His judgment of the unbelieving world. The church, made up of all who have trusted in the person and work of the Lord Jesus to save them from being punished for sin, will not be present during the tribulation. The church will be removed from the earth in an event known as the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-53). The church is saved from the wrath to come (1 Thessalonians 5:9). Throughout Scripture, the tribulation is referred to by other names such as the Day of the Lord (Isaiah 2:12; 13:6-9; Joel 1:15; 2:1-31; 3:14; 1 Thessalonians 5:2); trouble or tribulation (Deuteronomy 4:30; Zephaniah 1:1); the great tribulation, which refers to the more intense second half of the seven-year period (Matthew 24:21); time or day of trouble (Daniel 12:1; Zephaniah 1:15); time of Jacob's trouble (Jeremiah 30:7). An understanding of Daniel 9:24-27 is necessary in order to understand the purpose and time of the tribulation. This passage speaks of 70 weeks that have been declared against "your people." Daniel's people are the Jews, the nation of Israel, and Daniel 9:24 speaks of a period of time that God has given "to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy." God declares that "seventy sevens" will fulfill all these things. This is 70 sevens of years, or 490 years. (Some translations refer to 70 weeks of years.) This is confirmed by another part of this passage in Daniel. In verses 25 and 26, Daniel is told that the Messiah will be cut off after "seven sevens and sixty-two sevens" (69 total), beginning with the decree to rebuild Jerusalem. In other words, 69 sevens of years (483 years) after the decree to rebuild Jerusalem, the Messiah will be cut off. Biblical historians confirm that 483 years passed from the time of the decree to rebuild Jerusalem to the time when Jesus was crucified. Most Christian scholars, regardless of their view of eschatology (future things/events), have the above understanding of Daniel's 70 sevens. With 483 years having passed from the decree to rebuild Jerusalem to the cutting off of the Messiah, this leaves one seven-year period to be fulfilled in terms of Daniel 9:24: "to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy." This final seven-year period is known as the tribulation period-it is a time when God finishes judging Israel for its sin. Daniel 9:27 gives a few highlights of the seven-year tribulation period: "He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him." The person of whom this verse speaks is the person Jesus calls the "abomination that causes desolation" (Matthew 24:15) and is called "the beast" in Revelation 13. Daniel 9:27 says that the beast will make a covenant for seven years, but in the middle of this week (3 1/2 years into the tribulation), he will break the covenant, putting a stop to sacrifice. Revelation 13 explains that the beast will place an image of himself in the temple and require the world to worship him. Revelation 13:5 says that this will go on for 42 months, which is 3 1/2 years. Since Daniel 9:27 says that this will happen in the middle of the week, and Revelation 13:5 says that the beast will do this for a period of 42 months, it is easy to see that the total length of time is 84 months or seven years. Also see Daniel 7:25, where the "time, times, and half a time" (time=1 year; times=2 years; half a time=1/2 year; total of 3 1/2 years) also refers to "great tribulation," the last half of the seven-year tribulation period when the beast will be in power. For further references about the tribulation, see Revelation 11:2-3, which speaks of 1260 days and 42 months, and Daniel 12:11-12, which speaks of 1290 days and 1335 days. These days have a reference to the midpoint of the tribulation. The additional days in Daniel 12 may include the time at the end for the judgment of the nations (Matthew 25:31-46) and time for the setting up of Christ's millennial kingdom (Revelation 20:4-6). In summary, the Tribulation is the 7-year time period in the end times in which humanity's decadence and depravity will reach its fullness, with God judging accordingly. The Flood and the Rapture of God's Children In the Bible, it is recorded that God destroyed the earth except for Noah and his family by a great flood. The account of this is in the Old Testament. God said that the thoughts of men and women were only evil continually, and that He was sorry that he had created them. The human race had rejected their maker - the Lord. God is not responsible for all of the horrific things that happen on this earth. The Garden of Eden was perfection. There was no sin there. Adam and Eve walked with God and talked with Him. Everything was just as God wanted it to be. God created Adam and Eve in His image but He also gave them free volition of will to choose good or evil. Eve was deceived by Satan, and Adam sinned willfully. Since that time, this earth has been in utter chaos. Tribulation is when God's wrath will be poured out on all flesh for their sin and disobedience. Jesus is the Ark of Safety for All Those Who Place Their Trust in Him The Bible says: "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be" (Matthew 24:37-39). The Coming of the Man of SIN A man the Bible calls "Antichrist" will fool the world, and many will worship him. They will receive his "mark" which shows that their allegiance will be to the Beast (Antichrist). The people who take the "mark" of the beast will be condemned to hell when they die. The Church will be gone (to heaven) as will children who have not reached the age of accountability. If you are left behind, you will suffer great affliction. The Bible says that people will wish to die but will not be able to. Antichrist will be Indwelled by Satan himself After the tribulation begins, some will realize that they missed the truth - that Jesus Christ is truly God, and that He is the Savior of the world. Those people will give their hearts to Christ. They will be hunted down and slaughtered by Antichrist for not worshiping him. After they are martyred, Jesus will receive them into His Kingdom. This period of time will be the worst time ever seen on the earth. Time is so short. The headlines which you read each day regarding the Middle East are simply God's prophetic Word being fulfilled. No one knows the hour of the coming of Jesus Christ to rapture His Church! No one is guaranteed another day, or even another minute in this life. Are you willing to enter eternity without Christ and be condemned to hell? The Decision is yours Do you want to be here during this time? You do not have to be here. You can stop right now - wherever you are, and confess that you agree that you are a sinner to God, and repent of those sins. You can tell Jesus that you need Him to be your Savior and that you trust Him for your Salvation. But know this: God will not be mocked. He will know if your profession of faith in Him is sincere. Nothing is hidden from our Lord. How to be Saved Do NOT believe that there are many ways to God. There is ONE way: "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). There is no reincarnation. That is a lie from the devil. There is no such thing as Chrislam. That is also from the evil one. The God of the Bible and Allah are NOT the same! Allah is a false god. "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). I hope and pray that many who are of this world will take to heart the things I have said in this piece. Where you spend eternity will depend on whether you accept Jesus into your heart or reject Him. His love for you knows no boundaries, and He is waiting for you with open arms. No matter what you have done in this life, He is waiting to forgive you, make you into a new person and take you into His family. I pray that you will open your heart to Him. How Can I Be Saved? [email protected] Articles at grandmageri422.me King Abdullah's Decision On Peace Treaty Should Be Wake-Up Call To Israel - By Morton Klein and Daniel Mandel - http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=2674 Jordan's King Abdullah II, in what has been described as a "sharp tone," announced this week that he would annul an appendix to the 1994 Israeli/Jordanian peace treaty under which certain parcels of lands in the border regions were to have been leased to Israel in perpetuity. Jews have farmed these lands since 1926, when the then-British Mandatory power authorized it, along with the establishment of a power station by Russian Jewish engineer Pinchas Rutenberg. However, in 1994, when Israel and Jordan concluded a peace treaty, Israel transferred these territories to Jordanian sovereignty. An appendix in the treaty authorized continued Israeli cultivation of these farmlands for 25 years, automatically renewable for 25-year periods "unless one year prior notice of termination is given by either Party, in which case, at the request of either Party, consultations shall be entered into." Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has indicated that he will be taking up the matter with King Abdullah in a bid to have the termination of the lease rescinded, but Oraib Rintawi, director of the Quds Center for Political Studies in Amman, has said, probably accurately, "Jordan cannot backtrack on this. ... This is a decision of the king, government and public. I do not believe there is any possibility to backtrack on this decision." Abdullah's sudden and unexpected announcement, following public demonstrations in Jordan and a letter signed by 80 Jordanian legislators urging the cancellation of the appendix, illustrates two issues that are easily and indeed routinely overlooked when considering Israeli negotiations with neighboring Arab interlocutors: The intense hostility to and non-acceptance of the Jewish state of Israel by Arab societies. The undergirding problem that bedevils all such negotiations with the Palestinian Arabs: the inadmissibility under Sharia law of relinquishing lands once controlled by Muslim powers and thus deemed a waqf (a perpetual Islamic trust) to non-Muslims. Abdullah's decision to terminate the leases next year is a strong indicator of the first. It is well-known that Abdullah has been continually pressured within Jordan to do whatever he can to distance himself from Israel, and even to abrogate the entire peace treaty. This development starkly illustrates the huge mistake that can be made when Israel makes generous concessions to an Arab party under the misapprehension that the personal friendliness of an Arab interlocutor -- in this case, the late Jordanian King Hussein -- is somehow guaranteed to endure even under a stable regime. Israel fatefully waived its sound claim to sovereignty, no doubt thinking that its territorial generosity would help to entrench and secure the original peace agreement. Instead, what we now see is a Jordanian king who does not share the reputed friendliness of his father towards Israel, has different priorities, and therefore can simply terminate the lease. Other than appealing to him to change his mind, it would seem that Israel has limited power to alter the Jordanian decision. To the objection that the Israeli peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan give the lie to the assertion that secure treaties cannot be achieved with Palestinian Arab interlocutors, it bears recalling that in both cases, neither country was required to relinquish lands once controlled by Muslims. To the contrary, by signing the Camp David peace treaty in 1979, Egypt secured the return to its control of the entire Sinai peninsula, giving only a chilly, mean-spirited peace in return. There are still almost no business relations or relations among professionals between the two countries. In the case of Jordan, Hussein was able to sign a peace with Israel because he had publicly relinquished his claim to the West Bank (Judea/Samaria), as a result of which no territorial claims were at issue. Indeed, the only land at issue seems to have been these farmlands, which the treaty secured to Jordanian sovereignty. The issue changes character when it comes to Israeli-Palestinian negotiations. Here, Israeli governments, irrespective of their political complexion, are seeking agreements that would formalize the legitimacy of Israeli control over at least some disputed territory previously controlled by Muslim powers and thus regarded as a waqf. These territories lost to Islam are, as it were, on the back-burner -- issues to be fought another day. Only the more radical Muslim movements speak of them at present or launch attacks on account of them. But the territories conquered by Israel in 1967 are not seen in such terms, and the whole world deems them to be negotiable. Accordingly, Yasser Arafat or Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Authority have never agreed to normalize an Israeli presence even an inch beyond the 1949 armistice lines. This is why the most generous peace proposals in 2001 and again in 2008, encompassing full Palestinian statehood, a capital in the eastern half of Jerusalem, sovereignty even over Jerusalem's Temple Mount (Judaism's holiest site), tens of billions in US aid to resettle refugees and their descendants, and Israeli withdrawal from virtually all of the territory in Israeli hands since 1967, were not met even with a counter-offer, let alone acceptance. King Abdullah's announcement is a sober reminder that these realities can only be overcome by a slow, gradual, international process of change and reform in Muslim society. Sadly, this means that a genuine, formalized Israeli-Palestinian peace will remain elusive for the foreseeable future. Maybe that's because it feels like it's happening in slow motion. The France 24 news service recently posted a headline: "Has the world gone mad?" Those kinds of headlines are usually understood as analogies or exaggerations. They are used for shock effect. But France 24 meant it literally. The article stated: "Mental health disorders are on the rise in every country in the world and could cost the global economy up to $16 trillion between 2010 and 2030." Let's put that number into perspective. $16 trillion is four times the entire annual budget of the United States! The World Health Organization (WHO) confirms the crisis. WHO says that approximately 300 million people now suffer from depression; 50 million from dementia; 23 million from schizophrenia; and 60 million from bi-polar disorder. The situation is even worse among the young. WHO found that one-third of the world's college freshmen screened positive for a mental disorder. The American Psychological Association found that one-third of all US college students had difficulty functioning in the last 12 months because of depression. Almost daily in the news, we read stories about how America's cities are experiencing dramatic increases in the numbers of mentally ill homeless people living on the streets. It is reaching crisis proportions in San Francisco. But there's an even more disturbing indicator of our society's mental health emergency: pre-teen suicides. Suicide in this age group was once almost unheard-of. Not anymore. Between 2007 and 2014, suicide among 10 to 14-year-olds doubled. I believe that some of this, if not most of it, is caused by "gender confusion" being promoted by the LGBT community and echoed by the politically correct mainstream media, entertainment, academia, and establishment politicians. In August, a 9-year-old boy in Denver killed himself. He had decided that he was homosexual and his mother "supported" his decision. She blames his death on bullying by some of his fourth-grade classmates after he "came out." It is undeniable that "sexual identity" issues are a major factor in the growing youth suicide crisis. CBN News reports, "In the UK, young people referred for 'gender treatment' increased... over 4,000% in 10 years.... The issue is so big that UK officials have launched an investigation into the increase in children seeking to transition to the opposite sex." Jane Robbins writes in The Federalist, "Some physicians in the United States are performing double mastectomies on healthy 13-year-old girls." She continued, "The justification is gender dysphoria ('transgenderism').... Often, little or no psychological evaluation is done to determine the underlying cause of the teenager's desire to mutilate her body. But these doctors are willing to give her what she thinks she wants." Even though WHO argues that being transgender is not a mental health disorder, something is clearly wrong when a boy thinks he's a girl or a girl thinks she's a boy. The science is clear. A male has an XY chromosome. A female has an XX chromosome. Nature has a solution to this dilemma. It's called puberty. Just as the child's body is growing, developing, maturing, and going through enormous, sometimes excruciating, changes, so is his or her psyche, spirit, emotions, and intellect. Let's face it. What 13-year-old really knows what he or she wants to be, do, or become in life? Much less a 9-year-old. That's what "growing up" is all about. But because the scientific, medical, and academic communities can't argue with the science, some of them are now referring to the problem in spiritual terms. They speak of a person who is "spiritually" a male, but trapped in the body of a female. Or vice versa. That's not science! It's a bizarre application of false spirituality. And it is leaving our young people confused and wounded. Is it any wonder, then, that self-murder among the young is exploding? Suicide is now the second leading cause of death among American teenagers. There is an answer to many of the problems presented by the mental health crisis in America and around the world. For some of us, it's obvious: Take your kids to church; read the Bible with them; pray with them; and spend time with them. Maybe you expect me to say something like that. Don't be so hasty to dismiss these ideas. The fact is that numerous secular studies agree. The American Journal of Epidemiology recently published a study on the subject. Forbes magazine reported it. According to Forbes, "Those who attended religious services at least once a week as children or teens were 18% more likely to report being happier in their 20s than those who never attended services. They were also 30% more likely to do volunteer work and 33% less likely to use drugs in their 20s, as well." That study wasn't specific to evangelical Christianity. If it had been, I'm convinced the numbers would have been even more positive. But the Bible gives us a warning. Just because one generation honors God, it does not mean that the next one will. That's why we must renew our determination, and our efforts, to share the riches of God's Word with our children and our young men and women. In a world that has turned its back on God and any semblance of moral certitude, they are crying out for someone -- anyone -- to show them the way to something solid and dependable. And if we don't show them the way to Jesus Christ and the love, peace, happiness, and hope that He offers, then someone else will show them the way to their own destruction. It's that simple. Bob Dylan once sang this immortal truth in his inimitable style: "You're gonna have to serve somebody, yes, you're gonna have to serve somebody. Well, it may be the devil or it may be the lord, but you're gonna have to serve somebody." (Joshua 24:15 KJV) If you don't lead your family toward God, and plant within them the truth and values that Christianity imparts, then chances are that no one will. Can you live with that? I can't. Jamal Khashoggi was a Saudi Arabian dissident and Washington Post journalist, noted for his blunt and truth-exposing reports which sometimes embarrassed the Saudi Arabian government. He was apparently murdered by Saudi Arabian operatives in the Saudi Arabian consulate in Turkey. Some think he was murdered by the Saudis in retribution for his brash reporting and his potential in the near future to expose a supposed secret plot between the United States and Saudi Arabia. What makes his case interesting is that it is serving as a catalyst for the seemingly impossible. Ezekiel makes note of a particular end-times coalition that will attempt to invade the land of Israel sometime near the Tribulation period. The coalition-as laid out by Ezekiel-has been thought of in times past as being nearly impossible to assemble. Why would a majority Sunni Muslim nation (Turkey) ever want to join forces with a majority Shia Muslim nation like Iran? Answer: They will have a common enemy-Saudi Arabia. The same can be said about the miraculous alliance of Saudi Arabia and Israel... yes, that's right... Israel. Why would Saudi Arabia ally with Israel? Because they have a common enemy: Iran. After Jamal Khashoggi's apparent murder in Turkey by Saudi Arabian operatives, Turkish President Recep Erdogan came out blasting Saudi Arabia's role in his murder. This fits perfectly within the framework of the Gog-Magog coalition: Rosh-Russia. Magog-Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, etc. Persia-Iran Cush-Sudan Put-Libya Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, and Beth-Togarmah-Turkey Notice how Saudi Arabia, who is predominantly Sunni Muslim, is not mentioned in the Gog-Magog alliance. That is likely because they are working in tandem with western nations such as the U.S. and other nations like Jordan, etc. to broker a peace deal in Israel between the Israelis and the Palestinians (the so-called "two-state solution"). Russia and Iran have already been allies in Syria against Israel and her Western allies. The Russian-Iranian-Syrian alliance has only grown stronger over the last decade. A lot has already been said about the "hook in the jaw" of the leader of the cursed coalition. The leader of course is "Gog-the prince of Rosh," otherwise identified as the leader of Russia. Putin has all the reason in the world to restore Russia to its former place of power and prestige by invading Israel for oil and natural gas (the hook?), etc. And now, with Turkey coming out so strongly against Saudi Arabia-all the while the Saudis are working with Israel-it is another indicator of just how soon the Gog-Magog invasion may come to pass. As usual, current events continue to point-at a rapid pace-to the coming events that will happen just before and during the Tribulation. Thank God that He declared that He will take His Bride up to be with Him in heaven prior to the coming Tribulation: "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also" (John 14:3). "Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed" (1 Corinthians 15:51-52). "Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming" (Matthew 24:42). "But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near" (Luke 21:28). "Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth" (Revelation 3:10). Law enforcement officials said that the bombs were poorly constructed and couldn't have exploded. Whether this was a poorly executed hoax, an act of terrorism, or a complicated scheme to sway the upcoming election, it is the response to the event that is most revealing. Democratic Party leadership and the news media blamed President Donald Trump for the pipe bombs, saying his rhetoric caused the action. These people didn't call for unity or calm, they used the event for political gain. These are the same people who have been advocating aggression against those who disagree with them. The day before the pipe bomb news, the New York Times published a fictional short story about the assassination of President Trump. In fact, the Times actually solicited novelists to "conjure possible outcomes" of the Mueller investigation and chose this particular story from those who submitted. This is an example of the signals the media and Democratic Leaders have been sending the American public-confrontation at homes, restaurants, gas stations; saying that those who disagree are not part of the country; labeling people who disagree with horrible terms like bigot, Nazi, deplorable. Madonna said she thought about blowing up the White House and actress Carole Cook suggested killing Trump. Former Vice President, Joe Biden recently said Trump supporters were "virulent people...the dregs of society." House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA), who survived an assassination attempt in July 2017, said September 7 that the left should be held accountable for inciting violence against conservatives. Thursday, Scalise responded to the reactions of the extreme left over the pipe bombs. He told The Daily Caller News Foundation, "The media needs to take accountability for the role they are playing in promoting dangerous rhetoric and division in this country, particularly against President Trump and his supporters. The decision by The New York Times to run this piece is irresponsible and offensive, and they should remove it and apologize." Scalise wrote on Twitter, "These attempted attacks that have been made are beyond criminal, they are acts of pure terror. Violence and terror have no place in our politics or anywhere else in our society." Scalise's statesmanship should be an example to the Democratic Party leadership in response to the faux pipe bomb fiasco. Scalise knows how the hate rhetoric of the left inspires violent acts. He tweeted, "I have experienced first-hand the effects of political violence, and am committed to using my voice to speak out against it wherever I can." The act of the potentially explosive pipe bombs revealed far more than the culprit likely intended: That the hate speech and vitriol by the radical and extremist left will not be deterred. It makes obvious the left's agenda is far more about resistance, revolution, and power than love for the country and unity of its citizens. The accusers are the perpetrators. Proverbs 17:11 says, "An evil man seeks only rebellion." This is the revelation of the pipe drama. Elections ahead-do the right thing. I think sometimes we view the Garden of Eden as an imaginary place like Camelot or Neverland or Atlantis. But the Garden of Eden was a real place in which God placed real people. It surpassed all the beautiful places on the planet today. Adam was alone in this garden. He gave names to all the animals, but there still was something missing. In fact, it was someone who was missing. God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him" (Genesis 2:18 NKJV). The Lord caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and when he woke up, there was Eve. Adam said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman because she was taken out of Man" (Genesis 2:23 NKJV). The passage continues, "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh" (verse 24 KJV). In verse 24 we find two operative words that constantly must be in play for a marriage to be vibrant and successful: leave and cleave. The word cleave means "to glue or to cling." First, you leave your father and mother. There has to be a leaving, and that means a redefinition of old relationships. A son is still a son to his mom and dad, and a daughter is still a daughter. But when a couple gets married, a new home has started. A new family has begun. His primary responsibility is to his wife, and her primary responsibility is to her husband. They have to make that break. It's leaving and cleaving.
