Tribulation Coming - By Daymond Duck -
Before I get into the current events, I have been contacted by several people asking if I have sent them an e-mail, and the answer is "no."
I don't understand these things, and someone may be hacking into my e-mail; so please don't open any suspicious looking e-mails from me.
Current events continue to point to the soon arrival of the Tribulation Period, and here are some examples.
First, the rider on the black horse in the book of Revelation is famine and economic collapse (Rev. 6:5-6).
This rider is carrying a pair of scales to weigh food.
A quart of wheat will cost the equivalent of one day's wages, so many people will be forced to buy cheaper food (a quart of barley instead of a quart of wheat).
In late Oct. 2019, it was reported that pork is a favorite meal in China, but swine fever has killed millions of pigs; and it has now been discovered that humans can get swine fever from eating pork.
The death of millions of pigs has caused the price of pork to more than double in the past year, so pork is now a luxury food in China.
Many of the Chinese are now eating cheaper food such as dogs and rabbits.
Second, drug abuse will be a major sin during the Tribulation Period, and people will refuse to repent (the KJV Bible calls it sorceries, but the original Greek word is pharmakeia from which we get the word pharmacy or drugs; Rev. 9:21).
Anyway, in late Oct. 2019, one of the leading candidates seeking the nomination for president of the U.S. promised to issue an executive order to legalize marijuana nationwide during the first 100 days of his presidency.
Third, Natural disasters will increase in frequency and intensity at the end of the age.
On Oct. 20, 2019, nine tornadoes passed through northern Texas, causing an estimated two billion dollars in destruction; and that may go up.
Officials are calling this the most expensive tornado damage in the history of the state (the worst ever).
Fourth, on Oct. 23, 2019, about 800 men from the Tribe of Levi gathered near the Hulda Gate in the wall around Jerusalem to sing Psalms that Levites sang at the Temple during Old Testament times.
Some wore clothing and some blew on silver trumpets that have been made for use at a rebuilt Temple.
Other musicians from the Tribe of Levi participated in the singing.
One song says, "I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help" (Psa. 121:1).
Fifth, concerning the signs of His Coming, Jesus said, "There shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring" (Luke 21:25).
The "distress of nations with perplexity" is clear.
The "sea and waves roaring" is interpreted two ways: 1) Some interpret it to mean an increase in tropical storms and hurricanes stirring up the waves in the ocean, and 2) Seas are a symbol of people in the Bible, so some interpret it to mean people demonstrating, rioting in many nations, etc.
Anyway, on Oct. 22, 2019, Worthy News reported that there have been large demonstrations in the following nations this year: Lebanon, Chile, Spain, Haiti, Iraq, Sudan, Russia, Egypt, Uganda, Indonesia, Ukraine, Peru, Hong Kong, Zimbabwe, Colombia, France, Turkey, Venezuela, the Netherlands, Ethiopia, Brazil, Malawi, Algeria and Ecuador, among other places.
Sixth, God told Daniel there will be an increase in knowledge at the end of the age (Dan. 12:4).
On Oct. 24, 2019, Google announced that it has created a quantum computer that took 3 minutes and 20 seconds to solve a problem that the world's fastest computers require 10,000 years to solve.

Trump Dramatically Changes The Syrian Chess Board - By Caroline Glick - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=3564
U.S. President Donald Trump's many critics insist he has no idea what he's doing in Syria. The assassination of Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi last weekend by U.S. special forces showed this criticism is misplaced. Trump has a very good idea of what he's doing in Syria, not only regarding ISIS, but regarding the diverse competing actors on the ground.
Regarding ISIS, the obvious lesson of the al-Baghdadi raid is that Trump's critics' claim that his withdrawal of U.S. forces from Syria's border with Turkey meant that he was going to allow ISIS to regenerate was utterly baseless.
The raid did more than that. Al-Baghdadi's assassination, and Trump's discussion of the mass murderer's death, showed that Trump has not merely maintained faith with the fight against ISIS and its allied jihadist groups.
He has fundamentally changed the U.S.'s terror-fighting doctrine, particularly as it relates to psychological warfare against jihadists.
Following the Sept. 11 attacks, the Bush administration initiated a public diplomacy campaign in the Arab-Islamic world. Rather than attack and undermine the jihadist doctrine that insists that it is the religious duty of Muslims to conquer the non-Muslim world and establish a global Islamic empire or caliphate, the Bush strategy was to ignore the jihad in the hopes of appeasing its adherents.
The basic line of the Bush administration's public diplomacy campaign was to embrace the mantra that Islam is peace, and assert that the United States loves Islam because the United States seeks peace.
Along these lines, in 2005, then secretary of state Condoleezza Rice prohibited the State Department, FBI and U.S. intelligence agencies from using "controversial" terms like "radical Islam" and "jihad" in official documents.
The Obama administration took the Bush administration's obsequious approach to strategic communications several steps further. President Barack Obama and his advisers went out of their way to express sympathy for the "Islamic world."
The Obama administration supported the jihadist Muslim Brotherhood against Egypt's long-serving president and U.S. ally Hosni Mubarak and backed Mubarak's overthrow with the full knowledge that the only force powerful enough to replace him was the Muslim Brotherhood.
As for the Shi'ite jihadists, Obama's refusal to support the pro-democracy protesters in Iran's attempted Green Revolution in 2009 placed the United States firmly on the side of the jihadist, imperialist regime of the ayatollahs and against the Iranian people.
In short, Obama took Bush's rhetoric of appeasement and turned it into America's actual policy.
The Bush-Obama sycophancy won the United States no goodwill. Al Qaeda, which led the insurgency against U.S. forces in Iraq with Iranian and Syrian support, was not moved to diminish its aggression and hatred of the United States due to the administration's efforts.
It was during the Obama years that ISIS built its caliphate on a third of the Iraqi-Syrian landmass, opened slave markets and launched a mass campaign of filmed beheadings in the name of Islam.
In his announcement of al-Baghdadi's death on Sunday, Trump unceremoniously abandoned his predecessors' strategy of sucking up to jihadists. Unlike Obama, who went to great lengths to talk about the respect U.S. forces who killed Osama bin Laden accorded the terrorist mass-murderer's body, "in accordance with Islamic practice," Trump mocked al-Baghdadi, the murdering, raping, slaving "caliph."
Al-Baghdadi, Trump said, died "like a dog, like a coward."
Al-Baghdadi died, Trump said, "whimpering and crying."
Trump posted a picture on his Twitter page of the Delta Force combat dog who brought about al-Baghdadi's death by chasing him into a tunnel under his compound and provoking him to set off the explosive belt he was wearing, and kill himself and the two children who were with him.
Trump later described the animal who killed Allah's self-appointed representative on earth as "our 'K-9,' as they call it. I call it a dog. A beautiful dog - a talented dog."
Obama administration officials angrily condemned Trump's remarks. For instance, former CIA Deputy Director Mike Morell said he was "bothered" by Trump's "locker room talk," which he said, "inspire[s] other people" to conduct revenge attacks.
His colleague, former vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff retired Admiral James Winnefeld said that Trump's "piling on" describing al-Baghdadi as a "dog" sent a signal to his followers "that could cause them to lash out possibly more harshly in the wake."
These criticisms are ridiculous. ISIS terrorists have richly proven they require no provocation to commit mass murder. They only need the opportunity.
Moreover, Trump's constant use of the term "dog" and employment of canine imagery is highly significant. Dogs are considered "unclean" in Islam. In Islamic societies, "dog" is the worst name you can call a person.
It is hard to imagine that al-Baghdadi's death at the paws of a dog is likely to rally many Muslims to his side. To the contrary, it is likely instead to demoralize his followers. What's the point of joining a group of losers who believe in a fake prophet who died like a coward while chased by "a beautiful dog - a talented dog?"
Then there is Russia.
Trump's critics insist that his decision to abandon the U.S. position along the Syrian border with Turkey effectively surrendered total control over Syria to Russia. But that is far from the case. The American presence along the border didn't harm Russia. It helped Russia. It freed Russian President Vladimir Putin from having to deal with Turkey. Now that the Americans have left the border zone, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is Putin's problem.
And he is not the main problem that Trump has made for Putin in Syria.
Putin's biggest problem in Syria is financial. The Russian economy is sunk in a deep recession due to the drop in global oil prices. Putin had planned to finance his Syrian operation with Syrian oil revenues. To this end, in January 2018 he signed an agreement with Syrian President Bashar Assad that effectively transferred the rights to the Syrian oil to Russia.
But Putin hadn't taken Trump into consideration.
U.S. forces did not withdraw from all of their positions in Syria last month. They maintained their control over al-Tanf airbase, which controls the Syrian border with Jordan and Iraq.
More importantly from Russia's perspective, the United States has not relinquished its military presence adjacent to Syria's oil facilities in the Deir ez-Zor province on the eastern side of the Euphrates River. Indeed, according to media reports, the United States is reinforcing its troop strength in Deir ez-Zor to ensure continued U.S.-Kurdish control over Syria's oil fields.
To understand how high a priority control over Syria's oil installations is for Putin, it is worth recalling what happened in February 2018.
On Feb. 7, 2018, a month after Putin and Assad signed their oil agreement, a massive joint force comprising Russian mercenaries, Syrian commandos and Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards forces crossed the Euphrates River with the aim of seizing the town of Khusham adjacent to the Conoco oil fields.
Facing them were 40 U.S. Special Forces deployed with Kurdish and Arab Syrian Democratic Forces troops. The U.S. forces directed a massive air assault against the attacking forces which killed some 500 soldiers and ended the assault. Accounts regarding the number of Russian mercenaries killed start at 80 and rise to several hundred.
The American counterattack caused grievous harm to the Russian force in Syria. Putin has kept the number of Russian military forces in Syria low by outsourcing much of the fighting to Russian military contractors. The aim of the failed operation was to enable those mercenary forces to seize the means to finance their own operations, and get them off the Kremlin payroll.
Since then, Putin has tried to dislodge the U.S. forces from Khusham at least one more time, only to be met with a massive demonstration of force.
The continued U.S.-Kurdish control over Syria's oil fields and installations requires Putin to continue directly funding his war in Syria. So long as this remains the case, given Russia's financial constraints Putin is likely to go to great lengths to restrain his Iranian, Syrian and Hezbollah partners and their aggressive designs against Israel in order to prevent a costly war.
In other words, by preventing Russia from seizing Syria's oil fields, Trump is forcing Russia to behave in a manner that protects American interests in Syria.
The focus of most of the criticism against Trump's Syria policies has been his alleged abandonment of the Syrian Kurds to the mercies of their Turkish enemies. But over the past week we learned that this is not the case. As Trump explained, continued U.S.-Kurdish control over Syria's oil fields provides the Kurdish-controlled SDF with the financial and military wherewithal to support and defend its people and their operations.
Moreover, details of al-Baghdadi's assassination point to continued close cooperation between U.S. and Kurdish forces. According to accounts of the raid, the Kurds provided the Americans with key intelligence that enabled U.S. forces to pinpoint al-Baghdadi's location.
As to Turkey, both al-Baghdadi and ISIS spokesman Abu Hassan al-Mujahir, who was killed by U.S. forces on Tuesday, were located in areas of eastern Syria controlled by Turkey. The Americans didn't try to hide this fact.
The Turkish operation in eastern Syria is reportedly raising Erdoğan's popularity at home. But it is far from clear that the benefit he receives from his actions will be long-lasting. Turkey's Syrian operation is exposing the NATO member's close ties to ISIS and its allied terror groups. This exposure in and of itself is making the case for downgrading U.S. strategic ties with its erstwhile ally.
Even worse for Turkey, due to Trump's public embrace of Erdoğan, the Democrats are targeting the Turkish autocrat as Enemy Number 1. On Tuesday, with the support of Republican lawmakers who have long recognized Erdoğan's animosity to U.S. interests and allies, the Democratic-led House overwhelmingly passed a comprehensive sanctions resolution against Turkey.
The al-Baghdadi assassination and related events demonstrate that Trump is not flying blind in Syria. He is implementing a multifaceted set of policies that are based on the strengths, weaknesses and priorities of the various actors on the ground in ways that advance U.S. interests at the expense of its foes and to the benefit of its allies.
Israel Watch: Attack! - Jim Fletcher - Jim1fletcher@yahoo.com
Iran has been flexing its muscles in the Middle East for a long time. Now the Islamist stronghold is downright pumping iron. In their zeal to get rid of Israel, the mullahs are allowing the military to talk a good game.
Israel is taking notice.
In a report this week from Breitbart:
Israel's military has a multi-tiered network of integrated air defense systems "on alert" for any attack by Iran's missiles, Israeli Air Force chief Amikam Norkin confirmed on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said earlier this month Iran intends to attack Israel, and any attack which emanates from Yemen complicates the IDF's response as its intermediate and long-range air defenses are better positioned to shoot down incoming attacks from Israel's north, rather than from the south.
"Even as we speak, Arrow, Patriot, David's Sling and Iron Dome batteries are on alert," Norkin said Wednesday night at a graduation ceremony for air defense officers.
Attack drones and cruise missiles are now also part of the mix. Lebanon's Hezbollah terrorists have also been stockpiling rockets for more than 10 years.
Recently, Iran's Revolutionary Guards commander, Major General Hossein Salami, said that wiping out Israel is now "an achievable goal."
What we must keep in mind though is that Israel's defensive capabilities are multi-layered. And there is another factor.
Israel's defensive capabilities are enhanced by her offensive capabilities. I am confident-no, I am certain-Israel will meet any challenge. In fact, if Iran poses an existential threat to Israel, the mullahs will cease to exist.
One can also hope that as time goes on, young people in these countries will revolt. That is happening in Lebanon, where the country's billionaires have more than 99 percent of the country. Added to this misery is a proxy war between supporters of Iran and Saudi Arabia. Iran's mischief is curtailed somewhat by US sanctions, which impact the trouble Hezbollah can make.
As we follow closely the military threats to Israel in the region, let's let things play out and not despair. Pray hard for Israel, and pray hard for the return of the Lord!
Israel will be okay. God has promised.
Jacob's Sheep: Living Letters Spelling Out the Story of Return From Exile - By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz -
"I will pass through all thy flock to-day, removing from thence every speckled and spotted one, and every dark one among the sheep, and the spotted and speckled among the goats; and of such shall be my hire." Genesis 30:32 (The Israel Bible™)
Any lucky soul who gazes at the sheep will witness a most miraculous phenomenon: the characteristic spots and speckles that give the sheep their name are not always entirely random. When viewed a certain way, the distinctive markings form letters, hinting at prophecy come alive in the hills of Judea.
The story behind the sheep is no less than miraculous. Jenna Lewinsky and her flock of Jacob's Sheep is celebrating three years since their hooves first touched the Holy Land and exactly one year since the flock found their very special home in the hills of Judea. Originally from South Africa, Lewinsky was living in western Canada. She had no background in animal husbandry but when soring feed prices forced the local zoo to put some of the unique sheep up for adoption, Jenna was intrigued. The connection with Israel compelled her and she took the sheep in, connecting with them immediately, She felt a calling to return the sheep to the Jewish people and the land of Israel.
Jacob's sheep are no longer found in the Mideast. Israeli flocks today are made up of Awassi sheep which originated in Syro-Arabian desert and are white, with brown or black faces. Experts believe the unique breed, originally raised by Jacob, accompanied the Hebrews into slavery in Egypt and spread from there to North Africa. The Moors traded them to Spain, and then to England. Collectors have since brought them to North America. Considered a 'heritage' breed, meaning the sheep retain many of their genetic traits, they thrive in desert climes and have four horns.
Their name comes from their striking speckled appearance, conforming to the description of the flocks that Jacob took with him when he left the house of his father-in-law, Laban. In the story, Jacob demands his wages for working for 14 years, claiming the speckled and black sheep that would be born. He removed all the speckled and black sheep and placed poplar, plane, and almond branches in the troughs of the stronger sheep, with the bark stripped off in stripes. He separated out the striped and speckled sheep as his own.
And the flocks conceived at the sight of the rods, and the flocks brought forth streaked, speckled, and spotted. Genesis 30:39
Three years ago, Jenna and her former husband Gil, began the long journey, the first stage being to transport 119 sheep 1,200 miles by truck from one side of Canada to the other. The trip was accompanied by a tremendous lightning storm much like the pillar of fire that led the Children of Israel through the desert. Israeli law prohibits the import of livestock but the Israeli ambassador was so taken with the sheep and the shepherds that he arranged a special permit. The sheep were then airlifted with eleven flights bringing them to Israel. after which they sat in quarantine in a farm in the south of Israel. The sheep steadfastly endured mortar fire and winter flooding.
But as Biblical Joshua could attest to, arriving in the promised land is the beginning of a new stage of the journey. The sheep moved eight times before Jenna was offered a plot of land in Judea, adjacent to Bethlehem and the city of Efrat. The sheep now have a home and as of last month, Jenna has a roof over her head.
Of all the amazing aspects of the sheep and their journey home, perhaps the most amazing is a phenomenon that Jenna discovered during the birthing season. As expected, each lamb was born with a unique pattern of spots and speckles. But Jenna became convinced that the patterns were not random. Many of the spots and speckles appeared to form Hebrew letters. Jenna accepted these letters as hints and named the sheep in accordance.
Daily Jot: The impeachment smoking gun - Bill Wilson -
Let's boil this impeachment down to some basics. Donald Trump, the man, is not who the deep state and the leftists in politics want running the show. They will do anything they can to get rid of him even though he won the vote of the people. This is one of those strange times when the unelected bureaucracy is openly working to remove someone they believe to be unfit for office. The reason for impeachment is what? Trump asked Ukraine to investigate corruption of Democratic Party political opponent Joe Biden's son. They claim Trump asked a foreign country to investigate someone to benefit himself politically. Is this a high crime or misdemeanor? The answer may be found in a simple Senate document.
On November 10, 1999, President Bill Clinton presented to the US Senate the "Treaty Between the United States of America and Ukraine on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters" that was signed on September 30, 1999. Clinton's note to the Senate read: "The Treaty is one of a series of modern mutual legal assistance treaties being negotiated by the United States in order to counter criminal activities more effectively. The Treaty should be an effective tool to assist in the prosecution of a wide variety of crimes, including drug trafficking offenses. The Treaty is self-executing. It provides for a broad range of cooperation in criminal matters."
He continued, "Mutual assistance available under the Treaty includes: taking of testimony or statements of persons; providing documents, records, and articles of evidence; serving documents; locating or identifying persons; transferring persons in custody for testimony or other purposes; executing requests for searches and seizures; assisting in proceedings related to restraint, confiscation, forfeiture of assets, restitution, and collection of fines; and any other form of assistance not prohibited by the laws of the requested state." These are all things that come with corruption investigations and are part of Trump's request to Ukraine's President regarding Hunter Biden. By the way, Joe Biden (D-DE) was a Senator at the time of this treaty.
President Trump was making--how would he say it, "a very, very legal request"--of Ukraine's president. That the Democratic Party leadership is sore that one of their presidential candidates could be implicated in corruption in another country is not Trump's fault. It is yet more proof that the coup-makers here are accusing those who disagree with them of exactly what they are doing. This Jot is written to equip you in discussing impeachment with others. You are the last line of defense for protecting all of our Constitutional rights, especially of free speech and religious freedom. As Paul writes in Ephesians 6:19, "And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel." In this case, speak boldly to expose this charade. With impeachment, public opinion counts. Your opinion counts.
Daily Devotion: God Never Forgets - by Greg Laurie -
You number my wanderings; put my tears into Your bottle; are they not in Your book?-Psalm 56:8
My wife, Cathe, and I often joke that between the two of us, we have one complete brain. I'll remember something that she forgets and vice versa. So we help each other out.
Sometimes I'll have an interesting experience that I can't wait to tell her about. "Cathe," I'll say, "guess what happened to me today?"
As I'm telling the story, she'll ask me all these weird details, like what color shirt someone was wearing. Meanwhile, I just want to finish my story.
Then a week or so later, I might tell the same story to someone else, and Cathe will say, "That's not the way it happened."
"Excuse me, but you weren't even there."
"But that is not the way you told the story to me the first time," she'll say.
And you know what? Cathe is right. She remembers things that I forget.
I'm glad that God never forgets anything. He remembers everything. And that is very important for us to understand.
God, being eternal, lives in the eternal realm. All of life is a continuum to Him. The past is present and the future is past.
On the other hand, we live in the moment. We remember the past, we somewhat recall the distant past, and we anticipate the future. Yet God sees it all as one duration. He has neither beginning nor end.
God knows the future with complete accuracy, as well as we might know the past-and even better-because He doesn't forget things. Every tear is in His bottle. Every day of sorrow is written in His book. One day, God will make it up to you. Whatever you have lost, He will give you something greater in its place. And you'll understand why things happened the way they did.
