An Assessment of Attitudes and Actions - By Gene Lawley - http://raptureready.com/featured/lawley/lawley130.html
There has never been a time in the 240 years of our nation like this time. We are now at a turning point where an election will drastically decide the future of the nation. The shroud of secrecy surrounding the reality of a planned New World Order is remarkably denied, either from ignorance of the fact or knowingly and intentionally hiding the truth. Just recently I responded to an article by a guest columnist in our local paper, questioning his utter uselessness for Donald Trump when a vote for Hillary Clinton is most certainly a vote for a New World Order. He sent back this response: "New World Order? Just grow up!" So I sent him this link to a video that shows many well-known and high level national and international figures promoting just that and with great expectation. [1] So was that writer belittling me as an ignorant jerk from the backwoods, totally out of touch with reality, or was he pointedly denying the truth that is swirling around in the undercurrent with great intensity at this point in time? The memoirs of David Rockefeller, who has been a leading banker in the scheme of controlling America's money system for international interests, reveal a very open and defiant, even, admission. First published in 2002, he admits this: "For more than a century ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents ...to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure--one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." David Rockefeller, Memoirs Another of the Rockefeller family makes this astounding admission in an interview: "The end goal is to get everybody chipped, to control the whole society, to have the bankers and the elite people control the world." -Nick Rockefeller [Aaron Russo interview] That one smacks of the "mark of the beast," coming right out of the despised and rejected Word of God! Other similar quotes can be found easily on the internet. [2] Thus, we come to this assessment of attitudes and actions that have accumulated over the decades of many generations. First, let's recognize something that the writer mentioned above is not aware of and cannot comprehend, considering his attitude that defines the unreality of his world. It is this: There is a God in heaven, Sovereign of the universe, and He has set apart over these centuries a people called by His name. These people have insight into the spiritual realm where knowledge of the future is told in Bible prophecy. It was so promised: "Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets" (Amos 3:7). Those secrets are revealed in the Holy Scriptures and are available for those who would search them out. One of these truths that bears upon this discussion is in 1 Thessalonians 5:4, where Paul writes that believers who are in touch with the Lord will not be surprised as events having to do with the Day of the Lord unfold: "But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief." If it turns out that some believers are "taken by surprise" when the Lord comes to take away those whom He has bought with the price of His own blood, at least they will have been "taken," so how can you lose by turning your life over to Him? There is another Scripture that is a New Testament parallel to the promise quoted from Amos above: "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come" (John 16:13). In consideration of attitudes and actions, let's go back for almost two hundred years when Nathan Rothschild reportedly declared, "Give me control of a nation's money supply, and I will not care what its laws are!" The Rothschild dynasty has laid in place a regime for international finance that now envelopes the whole world. The Federal Reserve System, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the Bank of International Settlements-all designed, in my opinion, to interrelate and coordinate an international money supply. The Federal Reserve System is neither federal nor a reserve-it is not owned by the United States, but by private, international bankers; it is not a reserve where actual funds-wealth-are held as backup for currency in circulation. Notice the five dollar bill in your wallet-it is identified as a Federal Reserve Note and is legal tender for all debts, public and private. Paul Warburg, (1868-1932) was a Jewish German-born American banker, and an early advocate of the U.S. Federal Reserve System. He and two others of the Rothschild dynasty were each, at the same time, heads of national finance in the United States, Brittan and Germany. You can bet that there were more international financial schemes than there were of independent national interests. Warburg is said to have declared at one time, "Whether you like it or not, you are going to get a New World Order!" Looks like the idea never ever fell through the cracks, as my news respondent tried to get across. So I point you, again, to that link at the end of the article. [1] Over a century ago, in 1913, President Woodrow Wilson made this observation: Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it. That a fear of reprisal existed in those days indicates the deadly intent of the perpetrators of plans to rule the nation without regard to the cost, even of human life. Even more awesome is the magnitude of unanswered questions regarding the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963. The very clearly fraudulent and corrupt Warren Commission investigation with its "conclusive" crooked bullet theory belies all common sense and demands that we totally discard reality in favor of protecting the perpetrators and their reasons why. When President Kennedy authorized the Treasury to issue certain bills as U.S. Treasury notes, he actually signed his death warrant, for he violated the tight-fisted control of the nation's money supply by the Federal Reserve and its ability to create our national debt. Kennedy's currency was called "silver certificates," backed by the U.S. Treasury. You may recall them, but they were quietly taken out of circulation during those years after his death. That Executive Order is still on the books, I understand, but it lies dormant, and for good reason. (Does the memory of Abraham Lincoln and his Treasury-issued "green-back dollars" also bring to mind some unanswered questions as well?) Eleven days before his assassination, President Kennedy made a speech that, as the tag shows on the video, probably cost him his life as well because he was very forthright in his plan to expose the hidden secrets of the shadowy agenda of the New World Order proponents. Certainly this, with the silver certificates, would have been enough to trigger that fateful event. [3] That was early in November, 1963, and on November 22, JFK became history. In order to have a New World Order and its intended offspring, a one-world government, no nation can retain its individual sovereignty. When Barack Obama campaigned for the presidency in 2008, his cry of appeal was, "Come join me in fundamentally transforming America forever!" [4] Along with the backdrop the thought of having "the first black president" and "change" and a good amount of behind the scenes maneuvering and intrigue, many voters were drawn to him, for two terms. After his 2008 win Henry Kissinger, an assumed conservative, lauded his arrival with the exclamation, "He has been primed to lead us into a New World Order!" That video has been removed, but others indicate that same sentiment. [5] No one was allowed to properly vet him; his background was kept secret, even at great legal expense to insure that details of his life were not open to the public. The mainline media has made sure that any attempt at revealing his true background is met with contempt and disdain, even public ridicule. Yet, Obama stated in his campaign that his administration would be more transparent than any other ever had been. He also blasted the former President George W. Bush that it was treasonous to have allowed the national debt to reach $9 Trillion, then managed to more than double it in his two terms. Now, a nation that once maintained an annual Gross National Product (GNP) growth rate of three to four per cent, sees the rate at barely one percent. Its military is depleted, its unemployment, if truthfully told, over ten percent, and much higher among some segments of the population. Truly America has been fundamentally transformed. Obama recently casually declared, in a speech at the annual Correspondents' Dinner in Washington, D.C. on April 30, 2016, "The end of the Republic has never looked better!" [6] Strangely, the media has made no mention of that surprising comment-or is it so strange, after all? That statement essentially says America is just about finished, in his view. The planners for world takeover know what it will take to accomplish that goal, a one-world government. It is not without a corresponding purpose that there has been a decided push to topple dictatorships in northern Africa and the Middle East region. When Egypt military leaders took over their government in a coup a few years ago and ousted the Muslim Brotherhood, President Obama sent Secretaries Hagel and Kerry over there to try to convince the new leaders to allow the Muslim Brotherhood to have a part in the new government. (The article reporting this action once appeared on the Internet but seems to have been removed.) While national sovereignty cannot be permitted, neither can a dictatorship in a scheme for a New World Order. It is clear in Bible prophecy that a New World Order and its one-world government is also God's plan, for that seventh head of the beast in Revelation 13 has not yet formed, even today, as John described it there and in Revelation 17. Those heads of the beast are identified as prior kingdoms, or one-world governments, so the undercurrent of news events about a New World Order are telling us that the seventh head is being viewed as an imminent reality. Ezekiel 38-39 reports a coming war wherein Russia (Gog) of the far north will join with Iran (Persia) and others and come upon the land of Israel to destroy and plunder, but God will intercede and those nations will be destroyed upon the mountains of Israel. Thus, that number of sovereign nations will lose their sovereignty. Likewise are the results of other efforts of nations to conquer and control, namely the battle of Armageddon. All of these eliminations of national sovereignties become a gift-wrapped package to be handed to the Antichrist when he completes that seventh head and then takes over as the eighth head of the beast, as record in Revelation 17. Then he is indwelt by Satan as the latter is cast out of heaven (see Revelation 12) and the attempt to take over the throne of God happens (Daniel 9:27b and 2 Thessalonians 3:3-4). That perdition he is headed for is the lake of fire where he will burn forever (Revelation 19:20). How are the events progressing? Are attitudes and actions falling into place? Consider this: In the 12th century a Jewish Rabbi in Germany, named Judah Ben Samuel, a prolific writer at the time, made three prophetic declarations, sealed them with instructions not to open them until his death. When that time came, these were the prophecies [7]: 1. When the Turkish Ottoman Empire conquers Jerusalem (they were a powerful force even in his day), they would hold the city for eight Jubilee years-50 years multiplied by 8 times, equaling 400 years. The Turks conquered Jerusalem in 1517 and held it until 1917 when the British took control at the end of World War I-400 years. 2. Rabbi Ben Samuel then wrote that the city would be a "no-man's land" (under international control) for the ninth Jubilee, when Jerusalem would once again return to Jewish control. In the June, 1967, Six Day War, Moshe Dayan, with the black patch over his right eye, and his troops took back the city of Jerusalem, exactly 50 years from 1917. 3. That would mark the beginning, the Rabbi predicts, of the "Messianic End Time" for the duration of that 10th Jubilee, ending in the year 2017 when the Messiah would come. Of course what I have cited above is not Bible prophecy, and is not recorded in the Scriptures. But is it merely coincidental that two of the three predictions have come to pass right on target? It compares to another similar non-scriptural prophecy, the one by an Irish Catholic Cardinal of about the same vintage as that of Rabbi Ben Samuel. While visiting the Vatican, he predicted that there would be 116 popes in the future and that the 116th one would be the last pope. The intrigue surrounding the strange retirement of Pope Benedict that made way for the appointment of Pope Francis, now that 116th pope, seems to give much credence to that age-old prediction. It is especially thought-provoking, in light of the pronouncements and actions of Pope Francis as he attempts to draw together, apparently, all religions into one in subsequent months. These two sets of prophetic statements could well be included under the heading of "Signs of the Times," along with the four blood moons in 2014 and 2015. As we mark off the recurring days of 2017, and even before that year begins, with understandable concern for the obvious warfare among peoples of the earth, it would be very good for us to remember the words of Jesus in Luke 21:28: "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near." The mystery of the seven feasts of Israel that God gave Moses (Leviticus 23) may hold some clues of us in relation to the 2017 target predicted by Rabbi Ben Samuel and which the four blood moons alluded to when they occurred on the first and last of the seven feasts in both years, Passover and Tabernacles. (If those were coincidental, only an act of God could have made them so!) The feasts have respective portrayals, as demonstrated in the events that have occurred already on the first four feasts-Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits and Pentecost. Three remain unfulfilled, Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles. Trumpets clearly pictures the Rapture of the believers in its festive observances each year since the days of Moses. Atonement follows on the tenth day afterward and depicts the recognition of Jesus as the true Messiah by the Jews and their atonement (Zechariah 12:10). This does not mean that the timing on a calendar is that their fulfillments will be in that same immediate timeframe. It has been centuries since those first four feasts were fulfilled. In the seven-year tribulation period those final two feasts will be fulfilled, with Tabernacles, which pictures Christ's return to dwell on earth, the Second Coming (Zechariah 14:4). Of the seven feasts, only one has no certain beginning day or hour, the Feast of Trumpets. It can only begin when a designated person physically views the new moon and reports back to the religious leaders that fact. Otherwise, the beginning is delayed until the following day, after sunset. It remains to be seen if this is what Jesus was alluding to when He said, "No man knows the day or the hour of His coming." Will that day and hour come in 2017? As other corresponding end-time events are fulfilled, we must wait on lathe Lord and be prepared. Finally, the parallel of man's end target and God's plan for His plan of judgment raises the question of what should a Christian do? Help the formation of a New World Order which opposes God so His judgment may come quicker? That would be contradictory, like sinning to produce righteousness. Actually, God does not need believers to help Him with His judgment, neither its timing nor its application. We must do what we can to display God's glory in our prayers and actions, as Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 2:2-3, "...that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior." And be a source of hope with the gospel for those without hope. With that, we must agree with the apostle John, who wrote at the end of his Revelation, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus!" The Temple Institute is unrelentingly pulling out all the stops via a multi-faceted approach to ensure that the 3rd Jewish Temple will finally be built. If sheer zeal and commitment alone could accomplish the project, it would certainly have been accomplished a long while ago. But as Andrew Tobin for the Times of Israel recently reported, the problem for proponents of this project is that the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem is sacred not only to Jews but to Muslims and Christians too. The site includes the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, two of the most significant shrines in Islam. The Temple Institute's growth has coincided with increased mainstream support for Jewish access to the Temple Mount. A large minority of Israelis now opposes the restriction on Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount, according to polls. The ardent drive to build continues to manifest in various ways. The Temple Institute, dedicated to rebuilding the ancient holy site, is now using new internet tools to bring its message to the masses. A new YouTube video message titled "It's Time To Build" was released ahead of the Jewish fast day of Tisha BAv (which commemorates the Second Temple's destruction in 70 CE by the Romans) as part of the Temple Institute's strategy of using the new tools of the internet to bring its ancient message to the masses. The phrase encapsulates the group's controversial mission to rally Jews to reconstruct the temple that was the heart of their religion until its destruction 2,000 years ago. Tobin further notes that over much of those two millennia, mourning the loss of the temple and longing for its restoration has been central to Jewish thought and practice. Our goal is to raise the consciousness of the Jewish people and all humanity toward the central role that the holy temple plays in the life of mankind, Rabbi Chaim Richman, the Massachusetts-born co-founder and the international director of the Temple Institute said. We're very much focused on getting the message out on all the channels of social media and all the things people are into today. Most of my work is internet related. The Temple Institute focuses on preparing the objects and skills needed for the sacrifice of animals and the esoteric rituals that were carried out by Kohanim, or priests, in front of crowds of Jewish pilgrims before the last temple's destruction. All its work is led by a rabbinical council and based on meticulous analysis of Jewish scripture and academic research. The institute has reconstructed nearly all the sacred vessels needed to perform the services in a rebuilt Temple, including the High Priest's breastplate featuring the 12 precious stones of the tribes of Israel, the half-ton golden menorah and the musical instruments of the Levitical choir. The group also works to build support for its mission and itself, which is where the internet comes in. After his cable television show that aired in Texas was canceled in 2006, Richman found an audience for his temple-centric scriptural exegesis online. These days, his weekly TV and radio shows are among the 914 videos that appear on the Temple Institute's YouTube channel, which has more than 17,000 subscribers and 4.6 million views. The group's Facebook page has more than 186,000 followers. The Temple Institute email newsletter, which you can sign up for on its website, lands in 24,000 inboxes every week. Most content is in English, to maximize reach, including to the many evangelical Christians who support the group, many through tax-exempt charities in the U.S. For many evangelicals, the construction of a third Temple fulfills a prophecy about the Second Coming of Jesus. In a further demonstration of commitment to re-establishing the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, the Temple Institute announced it is opening a school for training Levitical priests for their eventual service in a new temple, based on a recent jta.org publication. The institute ran several pilot programs in recent years and now is embarking on a mission to teach Kohanim all the practical skills required to serve in the Third Holy Temple, it said in a statement. According to the Institute, the curriculum at the Nezer HaKodesh Institute for Kohanic Studies will include courses on the Temple service, theory and practice and the role and application of modern technology in the Third Temple. In a separate report, David Israel for jewishpress.com noted that the curriculum at Nezer HaKodesh will also include courses such as The Sacred Temple Vessels Aspects of Engineering and Design; and The Mathematics of the Holy Temple. We are extremely excited to announce this new step toward the restoration of the Holy Temple service. We call first and foremost upon Kohanim worldwide to support this special project, which signifies a return to their birthright. We have chosen to use IndieGogo as a tool to enable as many people as possible to be a part of this historic initiative, Rabbi Chaim Richman, international director of the Temple Institute, said in a statement. Meanwhile, many Jews and Christians await with great anticipation the rebuilding of the 3rd Temple. For Jews, a long-held passionate desire to see the temple restored will finally be fulfilled. For Christians, although there is some debate on the timing of the rebuilding of the temple the overall focus is more on the exciting impact of this eschatological event on God's prophetic time-clock. It will signal the imminent return of Jesus Christ as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and the fulfillment of the new Heaven and the new Earth under His divine righteous and eternal rulership. (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:1) Balfour Declaration, November 2016 - by Richard Kemp - https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/9273/balfour-declaration
This week we enter the centenary year of the Balfour Declaration. This document, signed on November 2, 1917 by the British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour, was the first recognition by one of the world's great powers -- in fact at the time the greatest power in the world -- of the right of the Jewish people to their national homeland in Palestine. It was the single most significant step taken in restoring Jewish self-determination in their historic territories. Under the San Remo Resolution three years later, the Balfour Declaration was enshrined in international law, leading inexorably to the 1947 UN partition plan and ultimately to the proclamation of the State of Israel by David Ben Gurion on May 14, 1948. As Britain, Israel and the free world begin to mark this monumental anniversary, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas demands an apology from the UK. The man whose constitutional tenure as Palestinian leader expired seven years ago, yet remains in place. The man who raised funds for the 1972 massacre in Munich of 11 Israeli Olympic athletes. The man who misused millions of dollars of international aid intended for the welfare of his people. The man who dismissed as a "fantastic lie" the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust. This man demands an apology. Of course he does. And in demanding that Britain apologize for a 99-year-old statement supporting a national home for the Jewish people, he exposes his true position, and the true position of all factions of the Palestinian leadership: that the Jewish people have no right to a national home; the Jewish State has no right to exist. According to Abbas, Palestine, from the River Jordan to the Mediterranean Sea, belongs to the Arabs and only to the Arabs. At a dinner held by the Zionist Federation in London on April 12, 1931, Sir Herbert Samuel, British High Commissioner in Palestine from 1920 to 1925 and the first Jew to govern the historic land of Israel in 2,000 years, said: "In time the Arabs will come to appreciate and respect the Jewish [standpoint]". Unfortunately, as Abbas's demands demonstrate only too clearly, he could not have been more wrong. It is sometimes claimed that Arab violence towards the Jews began with the Balfour Declaration, which created in their minds a feeling of betrayal by the British and an apprehension of Arab subjugation under Jewish governance. This ignores the murder and massacre of Jews by Arabs in the Middle East, including in Jaffa and Jerusalem, throughout the 19th Century and in the 20th Century in the years before 1917 -- just because they were Jews. Arab Jew-hatred certainly did not start with Balfour. But it did intensify after Balfour. It was this intensification, with its accompanying slaughter, revolt and rioting against both British and Jews that caused Britain to falter and fail over her 1917 declaration of support for a Jewish national homeland. It caused the British government to introduce White Papers in 1922 and 1939 that sought to appease Arab violence and resistance by imposing restrictions on Jewish immigration into Palestine and the development of the millennia-old Jewish presence in their historic homeland. It caused Britain to deny Jewish immigration into Palestine even as Jews were being butchered in the millions in Europe. It even led Britain to send survivors of Auschwitz back to the lair of the Nazi murderers. And it caused Britain to behave in a way that precipitated agonizing Jewish violence against the British in Palestine in the 1940s, when it was the last thing the Jews wanted to do. It caused Britain to abstain from the 1947 UN General Assembly resolution that brought about the re-establishment of the Jewish state in 1948. And even to appoint a British general -- Sir John Glubb -- to lead the Arab Legion's invasion of Israel immediately afterwards. It has caused Britain up to the present day to sometimes fail to condemn Arab aggression against Israelis, and to find excuses for their violence. All in the name of appeasing the Arabs and their supporters in the Muslim world and even at home. Despite all of this, with Britain sometimes sinking into moral weakness over its subsequent failure to support the state that it incubated, the country can be intensely proud that Britain alone embraced Zionism in 1917. And it was the blood of many thousands of British, Australian and New Zealand soldiers that created the conditions that made the modern-day State of Israel a possibility. These men fought and died in the Palestine campaign to defeat the Ottoman Empire that had occupied the territory for centuries. One month after the Balfour Declaration, on December 7th, the British Empire forces under General Allenby drove the Ottomans from Jerusalem. The day the last Turk left the Holy City was the first day of Hanukkah, the celebration of the Maccabean liberation of that city 2,000 years earlier. Those soldiers were above all the instrument of the will of one of the greatest Prime Ministers in British history: David Lloyd George. There are many arguments about the motives for his actions over Palestine. But not only was he the true motivating force behind the Balfour Declaration; he also ordered and drove the defeat of the Ottomans in Palestine that breathed life into his Foreign Secretary's words to the Zionist Federation. Thirteen years later, at the Zionist Federation dinner in 1931, mentioned earlier, David Lloyd George was present as guest of honor. He said: "The Jews surely have a special claim on [Palestine]. They are the only people who have made a success of it during the past 3,000 years. They are the only people who have made its name immortal, and as a race, they have no other home. This was their first; this has been their only home; they have no other home. They found no home in Egypt or in Babylon. Since their long exile they have found no home as a people in any other land, and this is the time and opportunity for enabling them once more to recreate their lives as a separate people in their old home and to make their contribution to humanity as a separate people, having a habitation in the land which inspired their forefathers. Later on it might be too late." Later on it might be too late. These prophetic words became a devastating reality for millions of Jews in the years to come. Within five years, the Arab Revolt had begun, in protest at the influx of Jews into Palestine, desperate to get out of Europe before it was indeed too late. The Arab Revolt in turn led to the White Paper of 1939, severely curtailing Jewish immigration into Palestine at their hour of greatest need, as the British government attempted to appease the Arabs. The White Paper was described by Lloyd George in Parliament as "an act of perfidy" and by the Manchester Guardian as "a death sentence on tens of thousands of Central European Jews." The words of the Peel Commission, which investigated the Arab unrest, apply as much today as they did in 1937 when they were written: "The hatred of the Arab politician for the Jewish national home has never been concealed and... it has now permeated the Arab population as a whole." The Arabs rejected the British proposals for partition of the land in the 1930s and again rejected the 1947 UN partition plan. Since then they have had numerous opportunities for the creation of a Palestinian state. All have been rejected. They have preferred to attempt Israel's annihilation by terrorism and war, rather than find an opportunity to live side by side in peace. Depending on his audience, Palestinian Authority (PA) President Abbas claims to desire a two-state solution. But his actions speak louder. How can it be possible to bring about peace with a country or a people that you constantly vilify and attack? Hatred of Jews and denial of their rights permeate PA speeches, TV shows, school-books, newspapers and magazines. Murderous terrorists are glorified by naming football teams and sports stadiums after them. They are incentivized to violence by salaries and payments to their families -- funded of course by the American and European taxpayer. Everywhere there is incitement to hate. Only a few days ago we saw the consequences of failure to hate for four hapless Palestinians who dared to fraternize with the "Zionist enemy" when they entered the Mayor of Efrat's succah. As we know only too well, the violent attacks against Jews, seen so frequently in the 19th and early 20th Centuries, continue unabated to this day. The latest just last week when three Israeli soldiers were shot and wounded by an Arab gunman near the Jewish town of Beit El. In recent weeks, we have seen the Palestinian Authority's efforts to expunge Jews and Judaism from any connection with their undeniable history and holy places via grotesque and nonsensical resolutions at UNESCO. Nothing has changed in the Arabs' attitudes and actions from Balfour's day to our own. Yet we have seen a miraculous and untold transformation over those 99 years within the State of Israel. Even as far back as that dinner in 1931, years before the re-creation of the state, Lloyd George was able to declare: "Zionism has brought to an old land, a renowned but a ruined old land, new wealth, new energy, new purpose, new initiative, new intelligence, a new devotion and a new hope. Zionism has not finished its task, far from it, but it has already accomplished so much as to demonstrate that the land flowing with milk and honey was no baseless legend." Even he would be astonished to see just how much further Israel has ascended in the intervening 85 years. But despite Israel's seemingly boundless progress, she remains under attack not just from the Arabs of the Middle East but also in the West, in Europe and in the UK. Despite a myriad of their own dire problems and the ongoing bloodbath in the Arab world, the Europeans, led by the French, seem hell-bent on trying to impose the so-called 1967 borders on Israel through the UN Security Council -- lines described by legendary Israeli Foreign Minister Abba Eban as the "Auschwitz borders." Flying in the face of the long-standing US bipartisan policy of rejecting these borders, there is increasing concern that President Obama's parting shot at Israel might be to either endorse such a resolution or fail to veto it. Such actions would have incalculable consequences -- not least a flare-up in violence and the prospect of global sanctions against Israel, which would rightly be unable to accept such a resolution. In the home of the Balfour Declaration the pressure is also on. Increasing anti-Semitic abuse is directed against the Jewish community in the UK and against those who dare to support the State of Israel, including politicians. Abuse aimed of course at undermining their support and isolating the Jewish State. Only a few days ago we saw despicable scenes of anti-Semitic hatred and lies at an event in the House of Lords in support of Abbas's absurd demand that we apologize for Balfour. In the same week, we witnessed another vicious outbreak of anti-Semitic abuse at University College London, where Jewish students were forced to seek refuge in the face of an aggressive effort to shut down their freedom of speech by so-called supporters of Palestine. Even 99 years after the world-changing Balfour Declaration, we still have our work cut out for us in supporting the Zionist project, which owes so much to the unequaled historic backing of Great Britain. But as Lloyd George said of this great venture: "Can you recall any movement worth prosecuting that has not encountered obstacles? Can you recall one persevered in with courage and faith where such obstacles have not been overcome in the end?" David Lloyd George, as in so much else, was of course right. And the words of this Welshman who saw so much in common between his own tiny country and the homeland of the Jews, whose nonconformist upbringing gave him a feeling of familiarity with the Holy Land, are words that should guide those of us who support the State of Israel today: "This Mandate [for the Jewish national home] must be carried out not nervously and apologetically but firmly and fearlessly." "Global Messiah Happening" as Saudi-Iran Conflict Presages Prophesied Nuclear War - By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz - http://www.breakingisraelnews.com
"And when ye go to war in your land against the adversary that oppresseth you, then ye shall sound an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before Hashem your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies." Numbers 10:9 (The Israel Bible™) The aftershocks of the US-brokered deal with Iran concerning their nuclear program have left many political analysts stymied, but one ancient Jewish source presents a scenario, unthinkable just a few years ago, which is now a strong possibility: a nuclear war between Saudi Arabia and Iran that leaves Israel untouched and makes way for the coming of the Messiah. So much is still unclear about Iran and the Middle East, but the Yalkut Shimoni, a collection of Biblical teachings believed to have been arranged in the 13th century, predicted a scenario that is is becoming more relevant as time goes on, anticipating our present political reality. Rabbi Yizchok said: "The year that Melech HaMoshiach [Messiah the King] will be revealed, all the nations of the world will be provoking each other. The King of Persia (Iran) will provoke the King of Arabia (Saudi Arabia), and the King of Arabia will go to Edom (the West) to take counsel, but the King of Persia will in turn, destroy the entire world. The nations of the world will be outraged and panicked. They will fall on their faces, and they will experience pains like birth pangs. Israel too will be outraged and in a state of panic and ask, where do we go? But say unto them, 'My children, do not fear, the time of your redemption has come. And in the last redemption will be different from the first which was followed by further bondage and pain. After this last redemption, you will not again experience any further pain or subjugation.'" The Yalkut Shimoni predicted a global conflict involving all of the nations. The focus of the conflict, though, will be Iran pitted against Saudi Arabia, resulting in total apocalypse which, in light of today's weapons technology, would likely be nuclear. With radical Islam stoking the flames, and the opposing sides of the Islamic world arming up, the nuclear showdown prophesied by the Yalkut Shimoni now looms closer than ever, especially in the wake of a recent clue that Israel and Saudi Arabia may be approaching an unlikely partnership. Just a few weeks ago, Salman Al-Ansari, the founder and president of the Washington DC-based Saudi American Public Relation Affairs Committee (SAPRAC), made waves when he published an article in The Hill suggesting that Israel and Saudi Arabia form an alliance. Al-Ansari noted many mutual interests (financial, technology, water engineering), claiming that "it is common knowledge that Saudi Arabia and Israel have committed to rational and balanced foreign policies over the past 70 years, never seeking any provocative or hostile actions against each other." Al-Ansari stated that the basis of this revolutionary coalition would be a shared threat: "The totalitarian government of Iran which is classified internationally as a global sponsor of terrorism." Implicit in Al-ansari's article is that the catalyst for this new era of cooperation between Israel and the leader of global Sunni Islam is the looming threat of a revived Iranian nuclear program. Until recently, conflict with Saudi Arabia would not have included a threat of nuclear escalation, since they were not known to have a nuclear weapons program and were a member of the coalition of countries demanding a Nuclear Weapon-Free Zone in the Middle East. This changed as a result of the P5+1 agreement brokered by US President Barack Obama last year. In May 2015, The Sunday Times of London reported that the Saudis had "taken the 'strategic decision' to acquire 'off-the-shelf' atomic weapons from Pakistan amid growing fears of a nuclear-armed Iran." Professor Ze'ev Maghen of the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic studies agreed that the situation is close to exploding. "Iran and Saudi Arabia are indeed poised with knives at each other's throats," he told Breaking Israel News. "This can certainly explode, as Saudi Arabia is the leader of Sunni Islam and Iran is the leader of Shi'ite Islam." However, he expressed doubt at the idea of an Israeli-Saudi alliance. "I've heard reports of cooperation between Israel and Saudi Arabia, but I am not sure how far that can actually go." Rabbi Yosef Dayan, a member of the nascent Sanhedrin who can trace his lineage back to King David, think that that current events fit perfectly into the Yalkut Shimoni. "The Yalkut Shimoni emphasizes that Messiah is a process that includes the entire world, not just Israel. It involves the entire world," explained Rabbi Dayan to Breaking Israel News. He emphasized that the prophecy is a prediction of modern, tangible events. "It is not a supernatural process, brought about by angels coming down from heaven," he said. "These things we hear about in the news, happening between nations, this is the Messianic process unfolding in front of our eyes." Rabbi Dayan connected the prophecy to non-Jews outside of Israel who see Biblical prophecy coming to life in the headlines - whether for better or worse. "Many non-Jews are waking up to this, and are turning to the tiny State of Israel, some wanting to connect with us in a positive way, others seeking to prevent Messiah, even if it means self-destruction," he said. "Many non-Jews are calling for us to build the Temple, while others, against all logic, are claiming there never was a Temple. It is all in the guise of politics, but it is a global Messiah happening right now." Watchman Warning: Daniel In the Culture's Den - Part Two - Hal Lindsey - http://www.hallindsey.com/ww-11-4-2016/
In Part One of "Daniel in the Culture's Den," we looked at the story of Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah - four adolescent boys among the thousands of captives stolen from Israel by their Babylonian conquerors. I wrote, "We in America haven't been taken to a new country, but we have watched as a new country has formed around us." In this strange new America, our children are being taught to kneel before wicked kings and worship strange gods. Their minds are being reordered by sinister forces out to remove God and His word from their way of thinking. Many of our churches and Christian families have chosen to compromise with the brainwashing. Be it premarital sex or mind-altering drugs, they act like it's to be expected, and must simply be managed. But a condom does not shield young people from the perils of promiscuity. The Bible consistently condemns drunkenness - another word for "getting high." And that's the single purpose of recreational marijuana. Churches determined to be "cool," primarily entertain their youth, while mixing in a few life-affirming messages. I'm all for fun. But with the fun, we must give them an understanding of God and His ways. It's like having a school that lets the kids stay all day on the playground. They need to play, but they also need to study. Churches and Christian families have an urgent need to teach Jesus and His Word. They say people under twenty-five can't listen for more than a few minutes. But some of the most effective ministries to young people feature teaching sessions over an hour long. The best antidote for error is the truth. Families and churches must build their communications around the Bible. We don't know what the kids will face outside of homes and churches, but we can introduce them to Someone Who will keep them throughout this life and beyond. We can't always be there for them, but He can. It's the same with you and me. We live in perilous times. To be ready for what awaits us, we need a lively faith in God. Romans 10:17 says, "Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ." (NASB) The Babylonians used intense training and immersion into their culture to try to cut Daniel and his friends off from God and their memory of God. They wanted to remove these young men from themselves - to cut out the core of their beings and replace it with someone made in the image of Babylon and her gods. They put the boys into a rigorous school for four years. There, they were taught and brainwashed day and night. They received food from the king's table, but it wasn't to make sure they ate well. It was part of the process of breaking down their religious roots. Even today, Judaism and food are tied closely together. In those days that was true of all religions. The meat served at the king's table was first sacrificed to pagan gods. This was strictly forbidden for a Hebrew. "But Daniel made up his mind that he would not defile himself with the king's choice food or with the wine which he drank; so he sought permission from the commander of the officials that he might not defile himself." (Daniel 1:8 NASB) Imagine a 13-year-old doing that. His life hung by a thread. He knew he could be put to death for a little bit of nothing. Yet this kid had enough commitment to the Lord, enough desire to please God, and enough faith in God to stand against the tide. Compromise was the order of that day, just as it is today. Go along to get along. But for those who remain true to God and His word, amazing things will happen. Today's young people face peer pressure and brainwashing like no generation in the history of the world. Help them build, not on the sand of fun and games only, but on the solid rock of God's word. More than that, we need to introduce them to the Author of that word. One of the miracles of our day is that the Jewish people remain intact. Spread across the world and across cultures for millennia, somehow they remained a distinct people. This great miracle took the hand of God. But like so many miracles, God did His work through people. Daniel was pivotal. By example, he taught generations of Jews how, not just to survive in other cultures, but also to thrive. The Chaldeans controlled Babylon when Daniel arrived. The young man had great favor with their king, Nebuchadnezzar. But when King Neb died, Daniel was largely forgotten... until a great hand wrote a message on a wall one night, and they needed someone to tell them what it meant. Daniel interpreted the message. They had been weighed in the balance and found wanting. In that very hour, another kingdom was overtaking them. When Babylon was taken by the Meads and the Persians, Daniel - by then an old man - again rose in favor and power. But it was not easy. Nebuchadnezzar threw Daniel's friends into a fiery furnace. Daniel was thrown into a den of lions. And it would not be easy for the Jewish people across the centuries. But when they followed Daniel's example, they thrived. For Christians between now and the rapture, things may get very tough. We may face our own fiery furnaces. If so, may we and the young people we raise be as strong and wise as Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah (better known today by their Babylonian names, "Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego"). When we face a fiery furnace, may we be able to say with them, "Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up." (Daniel 3:16-18 NASB)
My Review of "Rapture Ready...Or Not?" Over the last 35 years, I have literally read hundreds of books on Bible Prophecy and End Time signs. I especially enjoy books on the Rapture, and I have read almost every Rapture-related book published. In all those years, devouring thousands of pages, and millions of words, I have not read a better book on the Rapture than, Rapture Ready...Or Not? Terry James might be physically blind, but he is spiritually sharp and well discerning beyond most authors. In "Rapture Ready...Or Not?" Terry has nailed the pre-trib Rapture, and removed any doubt what so ever about the Church going through the Tribulation. With great insight and Godly discernment, Terry explains with simple, yet profound words, why and how that he has come to believe the ways he does about the Rapture, the Tribulation, and the End Times scenario. I think after reading "Rapture Ready...Or Not?" you too will believe as Terry does, and be Ready for the Rapture like never before! - Randy Thomas - Publisher / Editor - Prophecy Update For more information and or to get your copy of "Rapture Ready...Or Not?" use this link: http://www.raptureready.com/terry/book35.html Nearing Midnight: Prayer Wars - Terry James - http://raptureready.com/rap16.html
Never in American history has there been in presidential politics a time that more fits within the descriptive given in Ephesians 6:12 than the time we are currently experiencing. That spiritual battle describes succinctly, in my opinion, the time that has led up to Tuesday, November 8, 2016. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. " For decades it has been as if the dark, hellish forces of the ages have been turned loose against this nation, which has been so openly blessed by Heaven. The cultural and social "progress" thought to have been made, according to those who want to detach America from the Judeo-Christian mooring the founding fathers provided, are threatened by a significant challenge. We the people of God just might have decided we don't wish that progressive agenda to proceed further. Thus, the war is on in a way perhaps unseen in the annals of U.S. presidential elections. We as God's people are told how to fight such warfare as that which we are presently engaged. We are to "put on the whole armor of God" (Ephesians 6:11). The Bible provides a description of that spiritual armor with which we are supposed to adorn ourselves in order to wage war against this most powerful and wicked enemy force. Once we are fully, spiritually armed, we are told we are to be "praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints" (Ephesians 6:18). How well most Christians these days have fully armored up is in question. The dumbing-down by the godlessness of the secular world and--even more troubling--by the compromising churches of recent times, has taken a heavy toll. However, the one weapon mentioned in the apostle Paul's spiritual battle preparation of Ephesians chapter 6 is in play during this war for the survival of this once-great republic. I am believing that the core of the people in this nation who hold to the truth of the Word of God--the Bible-- are "praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit" that the Lord will intervene in this war that is raging. It is a "prayer war" to be sure. I'm aware of the seminary and other positions that say 2 Chronicles 7: 14 was only for Israel and doesn't apply to America. But, the God of Heaven does not change. Jesus Christ, who is God, is the same yesterday, today and forever, the Scripture tells us. I am trusting, therefore, that that great promise given to Israel during their direst time of need applies equally to those of this day and time who are "called by His name." Although the nucleus of God's people who hold fast to the Heavenly Father's precepts and promises might be a dwindling number, we are still here in the hundreds of thousands, if not millions. We are engaged in this Prayer War for a restoration of sanity in America's government, society, and culture. We are praying specifically that the evil forces that are raging to make this nation into a state totally apart from all godliness will be, at least on an interim basis, kept from their luciferian goal. I say "on an interim basis" because Bible prophecy plainly foretells that the satanic, globalist forces will for a time one day achieve establishment of a one-world order as Antichrist's platform of power. It will happen. It's just a matter of time. Meantime, however, while the Church of Jesus Christ is here, thus the Restrainer (the Holy Spirit) resident within that Body holding back evil, it is right and proper--and I believe expected--that God's people, called by His name, are to pray the prayer of 2 Chronicles 7:14. "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." Millions, I'm convinced, are even at this late hour just before this presidential election praying this prayer to the best of our ability. I believe movements and revelations of corruption within the political processes of late reflect directly the Lord's attentiveness to the genuine prayers of His spiritually attuned prayer warriors. If America is to be so blessed by a positive answer to those prayers by Heaven's throne room, I believe it will mean that the battle like that described in Ephesians chapter 6 will, after the election, intensify even more than if God's answer is otherwise. And, it will, in that case, be this nation's final dispensation of liberty, if there is not a turning back to God in a major way. Very shortly after this commentary is posted, we will know God's answer to those prayers--and, perhaps the nation's disposition with regard to personal liberty for whatever time is left in this Age of Grace. The war of the ages as this Church Age dispensation moves into its final stages will be fought most effectively by God's people in the prayer closets of America. Let's be sure to put on the whole armor before engaging in the battles we face. Daily Jot: Time to Pray and Act - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com
I don't think there is much more to say about this election or your civic duty to act. Throughout the Bible, there are many examples where God's people, as a nation, had bad leaders and suffered much as the consequence. There were times when there were good leaders and the people prospered. There seems to be this individualistic, self-centered gospel that is being preached that your relationship with YHVH is the only thing that matters and the rest of what is going on really is of no import. Certainly your relationship with God through the Messiah is the most important one of your life, but as life is complex, so is God. It is not an either/or kind of thing. Your actions have impact. They will have great impact today. Only a loving god would choose to act through His people as does God. Ever notice how you can pray and pray about something, but when you act in accordance with that prayer, it becomes answered before your eyes? Ever notice how our Father in Heaven sees and knows our needs and supplies them? There is no place in the Bible that says "God helps those who help themselves." But there are many examples where God works through men and women who take that first step of faith. Hebrews Chapter 11 is full of examples. Name after name is mentioned from Abraham through David--all had faith; all took some action. Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me." I have heard all the arguments about why we as Christians should not vote. You do what you will. But I know this in my heart of hearts--this is my very personal opinion--we do not have ideal candidates from a Christian world view. Nonetheless, we do have a clear distinction. Yes, I know all the globalist underpinnings of both, and recognize them for what they are. Here's the thing: God will choose the leader. He will work through each of us to do so. He knows our hearts. He knows what we deserve. He is merciful beyond measure. Yes, evil is evil. There is the type of evil that cannot be redeemed; and there is evil that can be redeemed. We have seen the heart of the former. We have not, the latter. It has got to start somewhere. We as a nation, as a people, are on a downward spiral. As Christians, we are the light of the world, the salt of the earth. As Jesus said in Matthew 5:13, "...but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men." God said in Ezekiel 22:30, "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none." I know that there are going to be a lot of Christians writing me today justifying their action or inaction or chastising me for encouraging political action. Fine. I will stand before the LORD for my actions. So will you. Go do the right thing. Daily Devotion: Empty Net Syndrome - Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org
Simon Peter said, "I'm going fishing." "We'll come, too," they all said. So they went out in the boat, but they caught nothing all night. -John 21:3 It was déjà vu time for the disciples. They had been fishing all night on the Sea of Galilee and hadn't caught anything. The Lord had risen and had already appeared to some of the disciples. There were no clear marching orders, so they thought they would go back to what they knew how to do: fish. Now it was early in the morning, probably still dark. They saw a figure standing on the shore. "He called out, 'Fellows, have you caught any fish?'" (John 21:5). Throughout the Bible, God often asked probing questions when He wanted a confession. In the same way, Jesus was asking His disciples, "Did you catch anything? Have you been successful? Have things gone the way you had hoped they would go? Are you satisfied?" Why did Jesus want them to admit their failure? So He could bring them to the place where they needed to be. When they cast the net on the right side of the boat as Jesus told them to, their net became so heavy with fish that they couldn't pull it in. The Lord was teaching the disciples an important lesson: Failure often can be the doorway to real success. We need to come to that point in our lives as well. We need to come and say, "Lord, I am not satisfied with the way my life is going. I am tired of doing it my way. I want to do it Your way." If you will come to God like that, He will extend His forgiveness to you. Then He will take your life and transform it in ways you couldn't imagine. FROM THE HEART
