Lukewarm? - By John Lysaught - https://www.raptureready.com/2019/11/03/lukewarm-john-lysaught/
There are two misconceptions that Satan puts on the world. One is that Heaven is available to unbelievers that lead good lives. The second is that hell is only reserved for the worst of the worse. So, the people of the "world" feel comfortable with their generalized beliefs in heaven and hell. How sad. Even when faced with the truth of the Bible and the need for salvation in Christ, they still believe the lies of Satan. I see that there are three types of people. The first is those living for themselves, believing the lies of Satan. The second is the lukewarm believer, and the third is the true believer. The first is the easiest to see. These people are selfishly living their lives for themselves without accepting Christ. The second are those who have one foot with Christ and one foot in the world, wanting the benefits of both living for self and Christ. The last, the true believers, are living each day for God, not themselves, and are heaven- focused. I've been all three, in the order listed above. I've lived for myself and myself only. I accepted Christ but had one foot in the world, living a lie to myself. And now? And now, I do my best to live for Christ each day with serving Him and being heaven-focused. I want to focus on those that are lukewarm in their relationship with Christ. Being hot or cold is pretty easy to discern in ourselves, but being lukewarm can be a challenge. Regardless of what you may think, or if you disagree with me, I believe that each person falls into one of the categories I listed above. I want people to know that if they live in the world or are lukewarm, change is possible. What is important is that if you are living lukewarm, you can be all-in for Christ. Colossians 3:2 tells us to "Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth." We need to focus on the things above (God) and not this world. We can do this by keeping our eyes on God and not man or the things of man. When we have Christ in our hearts, our eyes will be on Him and not the things of the world. This has to be constant, not just when we feel like it. It doesn't take that much effort, but really, it just takes a change of heart. Matthew 6:21 tells us that where are treasure is, is where our hearts are. The question to ask yourself is what is your treasure? If you want your treasure to be Jesus, then work for that each day. Don't give up on yourself. The Holy Spirit will lead you and convict you to do this if this is what you really want. Don't lie to yourself though. Examine your heart to see where it is. Psalm 139:23-24 tells us, "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Conduct a thorough exam of your heart; and if there is something in there that needs to be cut out, pray for this to happen. Psalm 51:10 says, "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me." Only with a clean heart and a renewing of our spirit can we fully seek Christ's marvelous grace and power in our lives. We need to have right hearts to live fully for Christ. Anything less is questionable. We can't love and hate at the same time. We can't love parts of the world and love Christ at the same time. We need to turn our backs to the world and turn our faces to Christ. If we don't, we are falling short. We can't be lukewarm Christians. Revelation 3:16 says, "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." This statement is very clear and concise. If you are lukewarm, be wary of what you are doing, and change now. Not tomorrow or when you are older or down the road sometime; do it now. I use this verse to remind myself of the importance of not being lukewarm in my faith. Have I? Yes. Do I still? Sometimes. But when I catch myself being lukewarm, I quickly repent and refocus my mind to Him. To me it's a heart thing. If my heart is set on the things above, how can they be muddied by the things of the world? They can't. It takes a conscious effort to put the things above to the side to satisfy the lusts of the flesh. Satan wants us to think it is okay to be lukewarm. He wants us to believe we can have the best of both worlds. We can't though. We need to choose one or the other, and this takes an honest appraisal of ourselves. Don't believe Satan's lies. Don't get tripped up by lukewarm messages at church or lukewarm justifications from others. Open your Bible and see for yourself what it says about being righteous and doing the will of God. Being lukewarm in our faith is believing the lies of Satan. If you are just floating through life with faith in one hand and serving self in the other, it is wrong. 1 John 3:10 tells us, "In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother." Ok, so what is righteousness? If you are unsure, it is living justly and is doing the will of God (definition found on Biblestudytools.com- click here for a full definition). What is the will of God? John 6:40 sums it up this way: "And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day." And, if you believe in Jesus, you will need to follow Him and follow His example in life (1 Cor. 11:1). Here are a few examples of what following Jesus means: Matthew 16:24, "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." John 13:35, "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." Galatians 2:20, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." A lukewarm believer does not practice righteousness and is not doing the will of the Father. A lukewarm believer is trying to live in the world and with Christ at the same time. Eternity is not something to mess with or take lightly; and when living a lukewarm life, this is exactly what is happening. Being all-in for Christ is how we should live. From our waking moments until we go to bed for the night, our thoughts need to be on Him, not self, or in between. This can take effort at first if you haven't been practicing this, but with a little self-discipline, it will happen. It takes every moment of your day having Christ in the forefront of your mind. It takes keeping Him in the background of your thoughts. After a while, it becomes natural to do this - it becomes a habit. Brothers and sisters, search your heart of hearts for your standing with being lukewarm. Let the Word reach into your innermost parts to show you where you are. If you are lukewarm, change, and change now; for we don't know when Christ will take us home. 154 Nations Reject Israel's Biblical Connection to Temple Mount - By David Sidman - www.breakingisraelnews.com "But I have installed My king on Tzion, My holy mountain!" (Psalm 2:6) The United Nations gave preliminary approval for a resolution that calls the Temple Mount by its Muslim name exclusively: Haram al-Sharif reports JPost. The resolution passed at the UN's Fourth Committee in New York City in an overwhelming turn-out of 154-8. The vote featured 14 abstentions as well as 17 absences. It was one of eight Anti-Israel resolutions approved last week. An expected 15 more anti-Israel resolutions are anticipating approval as well. The UN General Assembly will commence its final vote on the resolution next month. Ironically, the resolution reaffirmed "the special significance of the holy sites and the importance of the City of Jerusalem for the three monotheistic religions." Although only Israel and the United States were the only ones to vote against all eight resolutions, Australia, Canada, Guatemala, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, and Nauru joined them in voting against the Jerusalem texts. All of the twenty-eight EU member states backed the resolution Some of the resolutions related to both past and future Israeli ambitions to annex territory in Judea and Samaria reading: "The occupation of a territory is to be a temporary, de facto situation, whereby the occupying power can neither claim possession nor exert its sovereignty over the territory it occupies," a resolution stated. That same resolution recalled "the principle of the inadmissibility of the acquisition of land by force and therefore the illegality of the annexation of any part of the Occupied Palestinian Territory." It also stated "grave concern at recent statements calling for the annexation by Israel of areas in the Occupied Palestinian Territory." Acting US Deputy Representative to the United Nations Cherith Norman Chalet responded to the resolution saying: "We are disappointed that despite support for reform, member states continue to disproportionately single out Israel through these types of resolutions". She added that"it is deplorable that the United Nations - an institution founded upon the idea that all nations should be treated equally - should be so often used by member states to treat one state in particular, Israel, unequally." Nearing Midnight: Catholicism's Conundrum - Terry James - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ Let me start by saying I have family and friends who are Catholics. I believe most of these I love and know well are genuine believers -that is-they Know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. But these are "in Christ" in spite of their Catholic beliefs, not because of their Catholicism. Let me make a case for the above opening. Pope Francis is at it again. Some months ago he declared on several occasions that there are many ways to God and Heaven. He later pronounced that there is no place called Hell and even more recently the Catholic pontiff proclaimed that even atheists will be in Heaven. Now he is putting forth that Christ didn't resurrect from death-at least not in the way the Bible tells us He arose. Some of the Catholic clergy call these pontifications by this prelate heresy. Heresy, of course, is any teaching that varies from doctrinal positions to any major extent. While Catholic doctrine certainly is, in a great many cases, far from fundamental, evangelical, Protestant doctrine, we agree with those traditional Catholics that these declarations by Francis are heresy according to any fundamentalist, Christian teaching. That is, the pope's expressed thoughts on these matters are not only unbiblical, but, I would say, they are anti-biblical. CNS News reported the revelations made by an apparent friend of Pope Francis. Eugenio Scalfari, a left-wing atheist journalist, published the remarks in the periodical La Repubblica. Scalfari also wrote about the pope's declarations in a new book. Scalfari states in the November 5 edition of La Repubblica and in the introduction to his new book that Francis said: "He [Jesus] was a man until he was placed in the tomb by the women who recomposed his body. That night, in the tomb, the man [Jesus] disappeared and came forth from the grotto in the semblance of a spirit that met the women and the Apostles while still preserving the shadow of the person, and then he definitely disappeared." When asked about the strangeness of Francis' variance from Catholic doctrine, the true nature of the Roman Catholic Church became overwhelmingly apparent. The Catholic Church's PR/information establishment gave a ring-around-the-rosaries answer. The response said: "As already stated on other occasions, the words that Dr. Eugenio Scalfari attributes in quotation marks to the Holy Father during the interviews he had cannot be considered as a faithful account of what was actually said, but rather represent a personal and free interpretation of those who listened, as appears completely evident from what is written today regarding the divinity of Jesus Christ," the Holy See statement said. I.e., the official Vatican response was NOT a denial, rather was a confutation filled with gobbledygook that left it open to interpretation to the reader or hearer of the pope's words. According to CNS News, there has been "no clear denial, no demand that Scalfari correct his article or retract it, and no denial by the Pope himself." CNS News reported further that the Vatican's response was similar when Scalfari reported that Francis told him in 2018 there is no Hell and, recently, when the journalist claimed the pope told him that once Jesus Christ became incarnate, He was a man, a "man of exceptional virtues," but "not at all a God." Now, we are seeing some extremely combustible possibilities seeping from the once seamless confines of the Vatican walls. Most distinct among these is the question: Just how Christian is the Roman Catholic Church? If this Vicar of Christ has an infallible side, as claimed of popes down through the history of that supposedly Christian body, where does that infallibility fit within this pontiff's statements denying the very words of Jesus Christ? Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the father but by me" (John 14: 6). Yet Pope Francis says there are many ways to God. Pope Francis declares that there is no place called Hell. Despite the biblical truth that Jesus Himself talked about that infernal place even more than He talked about Heaven (Mark, chapter 9, for example). This pope says Jesus didn't resurrect in bodily form as Jesus claimed. Yet Jesus proved on many occasions after the resurrection that He rose from the dead bodily, not merely spiritually. Remember, for instance, His confrontation with doubting Thomas. (And, Jesus is the Word, John 1:1, so He cannot lie. ) This pope has proclaimed that even atheists will be in Heaven. By doing so, Francis nullifies the very reason Jesus came to die on the cross, be buried, and resurrect to life so that the lost who accept God's grace offer can be redeemed. All of that said, the Catholic Church's conundrum, as implied in this commentary's title, goes much deeper than the heresy of this particular pope. That religious body is faced with the truth in God's Holy Word that is completely antithesis of what the Vatican has always proclaimed. The conundrum could not be more starkly presented or illustrated than with the following Scripture: "For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). One evangelist who came out from deep within Roman Catholicism to preach the solid Word of God on every issue affecting humanity writes the following: "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness" (2 Tim. 3:16). This verse establishes the supreme authority of God's inspired, infallible, inerrant Word, which can be used to correct and reprove the teachings of Catholic bishops and religious traditions.... Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins; but He (Jesus), "having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God" (Heb. 10:11-12). When the Lord Jesus finished His perfect, all-sufficient work of redemption, He cried out in victory, "It is finished!" (John 19:30). Catholic priests, who continue on altars what Jesus finished on the cross, are leading their congregations in the idolatrous worship of the Eucharist. (Mike Gendron, "God's Word Continues to Set Catholics Free," [email protected], November 2019) Neither the lost nor the saved need go to a priest, who then goes to Mary, and then who goes to Jesus, who then goes to the Heavenly Father. When the Temple veil rent from top to bottom at the very moment Christ gave up His life to death, Heaven's throne room-following Christ's resurrection on the third day-was open to all who repent, who seek reconciliation through the Lord Jesus Christ. Mike Gendron writes further: "Not only is Mary not a mediator, she was also a sinner who needed a Savior (Rom. 3:23). She said, 'My soul exalts the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior' (Luke 1:46-47)." A growing number of Catholic theologians are beginning to question whether Pope Francis might be the second beast of Revelation chapter 13. I, personally, don't think he is. The apostate pronouncements he consistently makes, though, are certainly in alignment with those things that one called the false prophet will espouse. Catholicism's real conundrum, however, isn't having to deal with a rogue pope. Its most pressing conundrum is having to strive to confute the very Word of God. Will Artificial Intelligence Create Pathway To The Antichrist? - By Britt Gillette/End Times Bible Prophecy - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=3610 In the Hollywood blockbuster The Terminator, humans create a powerful network of computers, an artificial general intelligence named Skynet. Skynet develops the ability to think for itself and decides to eliminate humans. War breaks out between humans and "the machines" - with an advanced artificial intelligence in control of the machines. Is this our future? Some say yes. For example, speaking at MIT in 2014, Elon Musk called artificial intelligence our "biggest existential threat." He also said "with artificial intelligence, we're summoning the demon." In the same year, Stephen Hawking told the BBC, "The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race. It would take off on its own, and re-design itself at an ever increasing rate. Humans, who are limited by slow biological evolution, couldn't compete, and would be superseded." Is all this true? Is artificial intelligence humanity's greatest threat? No. In my mind, it isn't. Artificial intelligence won't destroy the human race. While it's certainly possible, that doesn't make it likely. No doubt, artificial intelligence will be extremely powerful. But what is greater? The creator or the created (Isaiah 45:9-10)? Stephen Hawking thinks it's the created. He foresees a future where machines advance at an ever-increasing rate while humans are left behind. But I don't think that will happen. As humans, I don't believe we'll allow our own technology to surpass us. Our collective ego is too big. Our pride is too great. Instead, we'll simply merge with artificial intelligence. Think about it. What's more powerful? Artificial intelligence or humans augmented with artificial intelligence? I argue it's the latter. Think it's absurd to believe people will merge with technology? It's not. In fact, it's been happening for a long time. People already merge with technology to improve their health or natural abilities. Examples include pacemakers, artificial heart valves, cochlear implants, and prosthetic limbs. In the near future, people will continue to merge with technology. But the technologies they merge with will be far different. They'll include devices to implant artificial intelligence in brains and connect humans to wireless networks. Artificial intelligence won't be a threat to humanity, and the reason why is simple. Artificial intelligence and humanity will be one and the same. Artificial Intelligence as a Tool If artificial intelligence isn't a threat to the human race, we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief, right? Not necessarily. Even if it doesn't try to destroy the human race, the world won't morph into a utopia anytime soon. In a way, the doomsayers are right. Artificial intelligence will conquer the world and dominate the human race. But it won't do so alone. It will have help. Humans will use it to conquer the world. It's inevitable. Why? Because the emergence of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies will end the era of mutual assured destruction (MAD). When MAD becomes obsolete, the threat of nuclear war will disappear forever. But this won't lead to peace on earth. Why? Because a new threat will take the place of nuclear war. That new threat is an arms race between nations with post-MAD weapons. Such an arms race will be highly unstable - much more volatile than the nuclear arms race. When it erupts into war, it will destroy the entire planet. So while the threat of nuclear war will end, the threat of global destruction will not. In fact, the odds of global destruction will increase. But such a war is not a certainty. As an example, consider this. What if Germany had been the first nation to develop the atomic bomb? Do you think Hitler would've used his advantage to conquer the Allied Forces and dominate the globe? On the other hand, the United States was the world's first nuclear power. The United States could've used its advantage to prevent other nations from acquiring nuclear weapons. It could've used its position to create an impregnable world empire. In a similar fashion, the first nation to develop artificial intelligence and post-MAD technologies will have the option to create its own global empire. With its first mover advantage, it could prevent other nations from developing such capabilities. The path would be clear to conquer every nation on earth. In a post-MAD world, many people will recommend this path. They'll see only two options: 1) An unstable arms race ending in global annihilation, or 2) Global government Think I'm wrong? Vladimir Putin doesn't. In September 2017, he said, "the one who becomes the leader in this sphere will be the ruler of the world" (emphasis mine). Putin was talking about artificial intelligence. He understands the stakes. He knows a race is on. It's a race to create artificial intelligence and post-MAD technologies. The second place nation gets nothing. The first place nation gets the whole world. I'm sure Putin imagines he'll win the race. But regardless of who wins, the nation that does will draw the same conclusion he did - global government is inevitable. The Worship of Artificial Intelligence The power of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies will be enormous. As Putin said, those in possession of artificial intelligence will rule the world. The processing speed and knowledge base of artificial intelligence will be so great, it will seem all-knowing to most. Linked to a global network of cameras and audio devices, those in control will seem all-knowing, all-seeing, and all-powerful. Made of non-biological materials and having already conquered the earth, artificial intelligence will also seem immortal. These are all characteristics typically used to describe God. So it should come as no surprise some people will seek to worship it. In fact, it's already happening. In 2015, a former Google and Uber engineer named Anthony Levandowski, created a new church called "Way of the Future." Its stated purpose is to create "a peaceful and respectful transition of who is in charge of the planet from people to people + 'machines'." Way of the Future church activities will focus on the worship of "a Godhead based on artificial intelligence developed through computer hardware and software." In March, a Buddhist Temple in Kyoto, Japan made headlines all over the world. That month, they unveiled a sutra-chanting android named Mindar. The robot has a human-like silicon face and hands, and it's pre-programmed to recite The Heart Sutra - a revered Buddhist text. Temple visitors can ask the robot questions, and using artificial intelligence, Mindar answers in Japanese while English and Chinese subtitles appear on a wall behind it. With built-in cameras, Mindar makes eye contact with questioners, creating the illusion it's alive and interacting with people. It's so life-like, people worship it. That's right. You can see the video here. People are actively engaged in the worship of a robot idol. Why It Matters So why do I bring all this up? I bring it up because the speed with which AI will come to dominate our world will come as a shock to many people. A world ruled through artificial intelligence isn't a futuristic dream. It's an imminent event. According to Ray Kurzweil, a computer will pass the Turing Test in 2029. This means a computer will develop the ability to exhibit intelligent behavior equivalent to, or indistinguishable from, that of a human. In that same year, Kurzweil estimates $1,000 worth of computing power will equal one human brain. This means a company such as Apple (which sits on a cash reserve of over $100 billion) could effectively "hire" 100 million "employees." This is forty times as many employees as currently work at Wal-Mart, the world's largest employer. But these "employees" will never go on vacation. They'll never take smoke breaks. They'll work 24/7, and they'll never get tired. They'll also become ever more productive as they re-design themselves to be faster and more efficient. Billions of humans deploying billions of super intelligent machines will create a world of profound and rapid change. The world is fast approaching a time when global government is certain. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. Without global government, a post-MAD arms race is certain. And such an arms race will destroy the world. So whether it's for noble purposes or selfish reasons, the first nation to develop artificial intelligence and post-MAD weapons will gladly choose global empire over global destruction. For those who read the Bible, this comes as no surprise. This is exactly what the Bible foretold centuries ago. Is this a coincidence? I don't think so. We're on the threshold of the end times. All the signs Jesus and the prophets said to look for are present: The Jewish people are back in the land (Jeremiah 23:7-8) and back in Jerusalem (Luke 21:24-28)... The Gospel is being preached throughout the world (Matthew 24:14)... Travel and knowledge are rapidly increasing (Daniel 12:4)... And enemies surround Israel on every side (Psalm 83:4-12)... The coming arrival of artificial intelligence is just one more sign pointing to the soon return of Jesus. Why? Because the Bible says one man will come to dominate the globe (Revelation 13:7). He'll be so powerful, no one will be able to oppose him (Revelation 13:4). He'll control every aspect of global commerce (Revelation 13:17). The world will even worship him (Revelation 13:12-15). For centuries, these events seemed impossible. Outside of the supernatural, they probably were. Now, our generation is on the verge of a world where such global domination is not only possible, it's imminent. Daily Jot: Snuffing out the darkness with truth and light - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com The headlines around these days are alarming. The narrative seems to be full of fear mongering such as predictions of economic disruption, government disruption, political disruption, social disruption. Disruption on all levels, according to the news media. There is no rest from disruption. It is so, because the media and the disrupters make it so. So there they are making their noise, accusing others of what they are doing, judging people from the content of their own hearts, spewing forth hate, derision, suspicion and darkness. What is it to us? Why do we have to allow them to occupy the battlefield of our minds? Does their darkness overcome the light of Christ and the Holy Spirit in each of us? I stand to say "NO." In John 8:12, Christ said, "I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." In Matthew 5:14-16, Christ affirms this transfer of light, saying, "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Philippians 2:14-15 says, "Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world." Proverbs 4:14-18 says, "Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall. For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence. But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day." Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." There is a pattern here that there is a path we all travel, but we do not have to travel in darkness because Christ is the light for the just. He transfers it to his disciples that they might also be the light of the world. As you engage with friends and family during this upcoming holiday season, you do not have to take part in the darkness around us. You can be that light to others, that joy in the midst of sorrow. Everyone seems to be at everyone else. Peace is but a fleeting moment like an insincere greeting. Remember, though, that as the light of the world, you are also an ambassador of Christ, an emissary of the kingdom of God. We don't have to enter into the darkness because it already has been defeated by the King of Kings. Renew your mind. Have a perspective of light. As is written in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love and of a sound mind." So, in truth, let your light shine. Daily Devotion: Fearful or Confident? - by Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org So also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.-Hebrews 9:28 Imagine if Jesus were coming to your house for lunch today. He texts you ten minutes out and then five minutes out. And then He pulls into your driveway. Would you welcome Him with excitement? Or would you dread His arrival? I think it all comes down to your relationship with God. If you're walking with God, you won't fear Christ's return. Remember when you were a kid and your mother would use these ominous words: "Just wait until your father gets home"? Remember how you felt when your dad pulled into the driveway? On the other hand, if you hadn't done anything wrong, you had nothing to fear. In the same way, your reaction to the fact that Christ could come back at any moment is an indicator of where you are spiritually. I think when we're right with the Lord, we will say along with the apostle John, "Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!" (Revelation 22:20 nlt). But if we're not right with the Lord, we probably wouldn't say that. If we really believe that Jesus is coming back, it should affect us in the way we live. For example, when you're going somewhere, ask yourself this question: This place where I'm going, these people I'll be hanging out with, this thing I'm about to do, would I be ashamed or embarrassed about it if Christ were to come back again? If the answer to that is yes, then change your plans. Hebrews 9:28 tells us that Christ "will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him" (NLT). Let's live in such a way that we're in a state of readiness for His imminent return. And not only should we be ready for His return, but we should be anxiously awaiting it. FROM THE HEART
