The Rapture, the Revelation, the Bell and the Egg - Pete Garcia - http://www.omegaletter.com/articles/articles.asp?ArticleID=8340
However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. From the very beginning, mankind has been in a continuing series of resets. Think of these resets as 'revolutions' in that they transform the way man operates and functions here on earth. We Dispensationalists liken these 'revolutions' to dispensations as far as naming-conventions go, but what will be addressed here, goes with, and within what we would classify in biblical terms, as a dispensation. There is not the room for it in this brief, but for an in-depth explanation of what constitutes Dispensationalism and its sine qua non, see here. But in summarized form, the late Dr. Charles Ryrie describes it as- Dispensationalism views the world as a household run by God. In His household world God is dispensing or administering its affairs according to His own will and in various stages of revelation in the passage of time. These various stages mark off the distinguishably different economies in the outworking of His total purpose, and these different economies constitute the dispensations. The understanding of God's differing economies is essential to a proper interpretation of His revelation within those various economies. Traditionally speaking, Dispensationalists recognize between four to seven distinct periods of time in which God has ordained change for mankind. The seven eras and primary audiences, in keeping with a literal, grammatical, and historical interpretation are; Innocence (mankind), Conscience (mankind), Human Government (mankind), Promise (Israel), Law (Israel), Grace (the Church), and the Kingdom (Israel). These would be the major events that really transform and govern how we function on earth. However, the revolutions (both macro and micro) only really align with four of the Dispensations-the first three and the last two. The first Dispensation/revolution came at the fall of man when Adam and Eve were cast out of the Garden of Eden into a world in which they (and by extension-we) would by the sweat of the brow, and in pain and toil try to survive (Gen. 3:16-19). This was a reset. 1. Sin followed by death entered the human domain 2. Man goes from immortal to mortal 3. The physical, geographical, (natural) world begins to work against man The next Dispensation/revolution occurred some 1,600 years later, when God destroyed the antediluvian-world with a global flood (Gen. 6-9). This was a reset. 1. Man's life span is greatly reduced 2. The veil between the natural and supernatural is closed 3. God allows mankind to govern themselves 4. The escalation of the natural world's revolt against man intensifies as spilled blood accumulates (see Gen. 4:10-12; 9:5, Romans 8:20-22) The next reset happened in place called Babel, (Gen. 11:1-9) where God scattered the post-flood descendants of the survivors (Noah and family) across the face of the earth. He did this because they (Noah's descendants) rebelled against God's wishes that they spread out across the earth (Gen. 9:1), but chose rather to congregate themselves in single location to make a great city. This was a reset. 1. Man is forcefully evicted from the plains of Shinar at Babel, to all corners of the earth 2. Man is separated by both genetics and language 3. Man is no longer united in purpose So these three are all the macro (large scale) events that had global impact on all of humanity. Then we come to the revolutions within the form in which we can liken them (an analogy) unto Ezekiel's awesome, heavenly vision of 'wheels within wheels' (Ezekiel 1:15-21). These 'wheels within wheels' don't change the nature of the wheel (it is still a wheel), but very much changes its mobility and direction. So we have the mandate in Genesis 9 for man to govern himself (the exception being the nation of Israel pre-Saul) by which governments, kingdoms, dynasties, empires, etc. operate here within the human domain in any number of types and directions. Keeping in mind that since the days just after the flood, we've had many forms of human government. God reveals the final forms of human government to the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar by way of a troubling dream of a multi-metallic statue. God then used His Jewish prophet Daniel to explain exactly what the statue represented, and it represented actual, physical, kingdoms of varying weight, density, and strength. (See Daniel 2) God later reveals this again to Daniel, but instead of the statue, the kingdoms are represented by chimeras (different animals blended together) (See Daniel 7-8). Assessment Some things that are done can't be undone. You can't un-ring a rung bell. You can't unscramble a scrambled egg. It is physically, theoretically, and mathematically impossible. Likewise, there are events occurring, and that have yet to occur, that when they happen, will transform the human domain forever. God makes the permanent resets, but man, as turbulent and restless as the sea, is in a constant state of fluctuation. (Luke 21:25-26; Revelation 13:1-2) Speaking only to the institution of human government, the aforementioned three events fundamentally changed how man would live and function here on earth. Likewise, there are two more events that will fundamentally change how man lives and functions here on earth...the Rapture, and the Revelation. We humans are finite beings. We are mortal and are limited in both time and space. We can only be in one spot at any given moment, and we can also only exist in the present. That is not to say we didn't exist in the past, or won't in the future, but we can't travel back in time nor can we travel (or even see) into the future. This promotes a strong tendency within us to become 'creatures of habit' and rest comfortably within the boundaries of our 'normalcy bias.' Since we only exist in the present, we tend to think that the way things are now are the way they will always be. The Apostle Peter, in speaking on the subject of the end of the world says this: Knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation." He goes on to conclude that man is 'willingly ignorant', choosing to believe in a revisionist-history model where they discount/neglect/ignore historical facts for what they wish had happened. For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the Day of Judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 2 Peter 3:3-7 We now live in a world in which most people are grossly deluded about the world's true history. What caused this? The passage of time, language changes, competing ideologies, and events that happened far from where most of us live have caused most people to be mentally disconnected from what happened a few thousand years ago. The world resets itself after a worldwide flood or the dispersion at babel. Eyewitnesses grow old and die, generations pass on, and soon events that happened only yesterday (relatively speaking) become events of myth and legend. The world has come to "willfully forget" that God in fact not only created the earth, but also purged it once before. The Bible say 'willfully' because man refuses to accept the bountiful evidence that proves it true, and rather accepts their own version of events like Darwinian Evolution and the Big Bang Theory. Furthermore, revolutions within form (constant regime changes) seem to constantly reset the driving narratives of the day. Add to that, the 'bells' and 'eggs' that transform humanity in a way that keeps propelling us forward. Things like geographic discoveries (the Americas, landing on the Moon and Mars, etc.), technological advancements (harnessing electricity, airplanes, steel, atomic and nuclear power, the Internet, etc.) make things impossible to go back to the way they were before. Conclusion In regards to the prophetic word, many within Christendom argue incessantly over a picture that is not fully drawn in yet, because we currently see thru a glass darkly (1 Cor. 13:12). What Satan has attempted to do, since he also doesn't know the specifics, is to get Christianity divided over how this all ends. In other words, he seeks to exploit the unknowable, and divide us up into camps all busy being pitted against each other. But when we look at Scripture, look at the big picture and you will see that there are two distinct take-a ways; 1. The passages discussing the Rapture are directed to the believer only. (John 14:1-3, 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1st Corinthians 15:51-55, Revelation 3:10) 2. The Second Coming passages are directed to the world at large. Approximately twenty major references are found in the New Testament alone (Matt 19:28; 23:39 ; 24:3-25:46; Mark 13:24-37; Luke 12:35-48; 17:22-37 ; 18:8 ; 21:25-28 ; Acts 1:10-11; 15:16-18 ; Rom 11:25-27; 1 Cor 11:26; 2 Thess 1:7-10; 2:8 ; 2 Pet 3:3-4; Jude 1:14-15 ; Rev 1:7-8; 2:25-28 ; 16:15 ; 19:11-21 ; 22:20 ). (Source) There are numerous distinctions between the Rapture of the Church and the Second Coming of Jesus and are easily seen if one simply compares the two events. If you think back to Christ's First Coming, the OT prophets foretold when, how, where, and through whom the Messiah would come from...yet, the people largely either didn't know, or didn't care. Throughout Christ's ministry here on earth, He repeatedly spoke about things which would come to pass, particularly surrounding His coming crucifixion, but even those closest to Him didn't understand. Even after His resurrection, there was confusion about the coming of His Kingdom, as some expected it to come right then. But as it is, God has the absolute perfect way to both get the message out there, while also selectively choosing who, when, where, how, and why the message impacts to accomplish His goals. (Galatians 4:4-5) The Rapture will occur prior to the seven year period of hell on earth known either as Daniel's 70th Week, or simply "the Tribulation." Once the Rapture happens, it will change everything and be the perfect crisis the world has been waiting on in order to create the new world order it needs for this man Antichrist to rise to power. At the conclusion of the Tribulation, Christ returns with His saints and His angelic forces to overturn Satan (bound and cast into the abyss), Antichrist and the False Prophet (cast alive into the Lake of Fire), and commences the judgment of the nations. At the conclusion of the judgment, Christ ushers in His 1,000 year reign known as the Millennium, or the Kingdom age. (Rev. 19-20) But both the Rapture and the Revelation (2nd Coming) will be the final processes that upends man's tragic and bloody history on the earth. One will begin to liberate the earth from bondage, and the second will be purged by fire, and remade to usher in the eternal order of the ages. Paul was witness to (2 Cor. 12), and says about these things...But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." (1 Cor. 2:9) And remember, the end of this world, only marks the beginning of glory given by Christ (John 17:22) to those who are in Christ. So remember... ...but God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:4-7 Even so, Maranatha! Secret Israel-Jordanian-Syrian border talks begin - http://www.debka.com/article/25789/Secret-Israel-Jordanian-Syrian-border-talks-begin
Israel, Jordan and Syria have embarked on secret discussions for the stabilization of their borders in southern Syria by restoring the status quo ante that reigned on the Golan prior to the outbreak of the Syrian civil war in 2011. This is reported exclusively by debkafile from intelligence, Washington and Moscow sources. The incoming Trump administration in Washington and Russian President Vladimir Putin are in the picture; so is the United Arab Emirates ruler, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Although still at a preliminary stage, the talks have produced their first tangible result: A vanguard of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) has arrived on the Syrian side of the Golan. It has taken up position at its former Fawwar Camp base 4km east of Quneitra, which it evacuated during the Syrian fighting. The main body of the force, around 1,000 UN soldiers and 70 observers, is expected soon, to take up the task of reconstituting the former demilitarized zone that separated Israel and Syria under the 1974 armistice agreement. This DMZ runs 80km along the Hermon range up to the Lebanese border in the north and down to the Israel-Syrian-Jordanian triangle in southern Syria up to the Jordanian border. In the 25km long Golan strip, between half a kilometer and 10 deep, the IDF and Syrian army were originally limited as to the number of soldiers and types of weaponry they are allowed to maintain. The strip will revert to Syrian civil administration under UNDOF control, and the Israeli-Syrian border crossing point will be reopened in the Quneitra area under the joint supervision of UN, Israeli and Syrian officers. The military arrangements are still in discussion and changes may be introduced to this format. The main obstacle to the return of pre-Syrian war conditions to this sensitive border region is the presence of radical Syrian rebel forces in southern Syria, mainly the Khalid bin Walid Army, whose leaders have sworn allegiance to Islamic State commander Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. These forces will face the option of accepting the authority of the Syrian army or fighting a win-or-die battle. Israel has an additional, compelling interest in restoring the disengagement zone with Syria in that it leaves no room for the grab for a military presence opposite Israeli Golan and Galilee that was made in recent months by Iran and its Lebanese proxy, Hezbollah, for the purpose of opening a new front for terrorist attacks against Israel - as debkafile was first to reveal. . An indirect clue to the secret diplomatic talks ongoing came from the Syrian ruler Bashar Assad in an interview he gave on Nov. 16 to a Portuguese radio station, when he said: "If -if - he [Trump] fights the terrorists, it is clear that we will be a natural ally, together with the Russians, Iranians and many other countries who want to defeat the terrorists." The parties with varying degrees of involvement in the restoration of the UN-controlled DMZ on the Golan border are, therefore, the incoming Trump administration, Moscow, Damascus, Amman, Abu Dhabi and Jerusalem. Russia, Jordan and the Emirates have gained relevance for the first time as a result of changes in the strategic balance engendered by the Syrian war. John Bolton Warns Obama May Divide the Land of Israel at U.N. Before the Inauguration - http://www.charismanews.com/opinion/61394-john-bolton-warns-obama-may-divide-the-land-of-israel-at-un-before-the-inauguration
Is Barack Obama about to make the most catastrophic decision of his entire presidency? Former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton is warning that there is "a lot of speculation" over at U.N. headquarters right now about "resolutions that recognize a Palestinian state or that try and set a boundary for Israel based on the 1967 ceasefire lines." Of course, this would have to happen before the inauguration of Donald Trump on Jan. 20, because Trump has already made it quite clear that he will not support any U.N. resolution of such nature. Knowing that Trump is about to take office, advocates of the "two-state solution" are putting an immense amount of pressure on Obama to support a U.N. Security Council resolution that would permanently divide the land of Israel while he is still in the White House, and at this moment, we do not know what Barack Obama's final decision will be. Most Americans have no idea that this drama is playing out behind the scenes, but those in the know are very much aware of what is happening. The Wall Street Journal recently published an article titled "Obama's Israel Surprise?" that discussed the possibility of Obama supporting a U.N. Security Council resolution that would permanently divide the land of Israel, and the New York Times editorial board has formally endorsed such a resolution. The rest of the U.N. Security Council is ready to agree to such a resolution, and at this point, the only obstacle is getting Barack Obama's approval. That is why it was so exceedingly alarming to wake up on Sunday morning and read former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton's very chilling warning about what could soon happen at the U.N. The following comes from an article on the website of The Hill: Former United Nations Ambassador John Bolton warned Sunday that President Obama should not take any actions before leaving office that could hurt Israel at the U.N. Bolton said during an interview with radio host John Catsimatidis that there is "a lot of speculation over in Turtle Bay at U.N. headquarters about resolutions that recognize a Palestinian state or that try and set a boundary for Israel based on the 1967 ceasefire lines." "I think that'd be very inadvisable for the president to do that," he said. John Bolton is still very tied in to the international community, and Donald Trump is reportedly actively considering asking him to serve as secretary of state. Needless to say, I would take what he is saying very seriously. So what would this potential U.N. Security Council resolution look like? It would likely accomplish three historic things. 1. It would give formal U.N. Security Council recognition to a Palestinian state for the very first time. 2. It would grant East Jerusalem to the Palestinians as the capital of their new state. 3. It would establish the 1967 ceasefire lines as the basis for final negotiations for borders between the two states. Up until now, the U.S. government's veto power on the U.N. Security Council has always blocked anti-Israel resolutions from passing, but earlier this year, the Obama administration said that such a "parameters resolution" was now "on the table." And at this point, we still don't know what Obama is going to ultimately decide, but the Trump transition team is so concerned about this they recently warned Obama "against making moves on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in his last months in office." But no matter how much they object, the truth is that Trump and his team cannot actually do anything to stop Obama. If Obama decides to betray Israel at the U.N., it is going to happen. And of course the Israeli government is extremely concerned about what might take place as well. According to the New York Post, the Israelis asked Secretary of State John Kerry if the Obama administration would promise to veto any anti-Israel resolutions at the U.N. for the remainder of Obama's term, and Kerry flatly refused to make such a promise. Israel faces a unique window of danger from Nov. 9 to Jan. 20: What might President Obama do in his final days in office to slam the Jewish state? Start with Secretary of State John Kerry's recent flat refusal to promise a US veto on any upcoming anti-Israel resolution in the UN Security Council. On Saturday, Haaretz reports, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Kerry he's counting on Washington to stick to its policy of nixing anti-Israel resolutions. Kerry's reply: The administration has yet to make a decision on the matter. Perhaps equally as alarming is what Obama told the Palestinians. In October, Obama reportedly told them to wait until after the election for any action at the U.N. Security Council. On the surface, the latest message to the Palestinian Authority from the Obama administration is no different from the past two decades of American policy: the U.S. will veto any resolution attacking Israel or demanding Palestinian independence without them first making peace with the Jewish state. But, as Haaretz reported, there was one significant caveat to the warning. They were told not to push for any such resolution until after the presidential election next month. So why would it be so catastrophic if Obama decides to support a U.N. Security Council resolution that permanently divides the land of Israel? John Kilpatrick, Shane Warren, Bob Jones and many others have warned that when we divide the land of Israel, our land will be divided too. Whether it is Barack Obama, Donald Trump or some other president that does it, someday this will happen. And when this happens, the floodgates will open and judgment after judgment will hit this nation. I have warned about many of these events in my latest book, and I hope to write much more about what is coming in the months ahead. So right now we are in "the danger zone" until Jan. 20, 2017. If we can get to Jan. 20 and Donald Trump is peacefully inaugurated and the land of Israel has not been divided, perhaps we can all breathe a little bit easier for a while. But if the land of Israel is divided between now and then, the consequences for this nation are going to be more severe than most people would dare to imagine. Ancient Secret of Daniel's 70 Weeks Predicts End of Days Will Come This Year - By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz -
http://www.breakingisraelnews.com "Seventy weeks are decreed upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sin, and to forgive iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal vision and prophet, and to anoint the most holy place." Daniel 9:24 An obscure 300-year old interpretation of the Book of Daniel presents a precise calculation which indicates the prophet spoke of this year as bringing the end of days. One rabbi agrees, believing that Daniel's ancient, hidden secrets are being revealed now as never before. Certainly one of the most prominent sources for prophecies concerning the end of days, Daniel's prophecy of 70 weeks clearly refers to the end of times, but it is enigmatic and difficult to understand. One explanation was recently offered by a blogger known as Yeranen Yaakov, who refers to an esoteric source called Aggadat Ribbi Yishmael (the fables of Rabbi Ishmael), written by 17th century Rabbi Meir Halevi Horowitz. Rabbi Horowitz collected teachings about the end of days and formulated a theory about the Book of Daniel. And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he lifted up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by Him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when they have made an end of breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. Daniel 12:7 Rabbi Horowitz interpreted a 'time' as 700 years. He based this on three reasons: 1) It corresponds to the number of years that Israel angered God from the time Joshua brought the Israelites into the land, which, according to Rabbi Horowitz, totalled 700 years. 2) According to the Talmud, non-Jews were given 1000 years to subjugate the Jews. Rabbi Horowitz subtracted the 300 years of exile in Babylonia, Greece, and Persia from the total that Israel should have suffered. 3) Rabbi Horowitz also interpreted the seventy weeks described in the Book of Daniel as a total of 50 cycles of double shmittah (sabbatical) cycles. One cycle is seven years. A double sabbatical is 14 years. 50 cycles of 14 years equals 700 years. Rabbi Horowitz then did a calculation based on the phrase from Daniel, "time, times, and a half", adding "time" (moed), meaning one, "times" (moadim), meaning two, and then "a half" of one. This is a total of 3.5 times. Rabbi Horowitz calculated this as meaning 700 multiplied by 3.5, or 2450. Rabbi Horowitz calculated the beginning of the exile from the first stage of the Babylonian Exile, which began in the Hebrew year 3327 (434 BCE). He added 2,450, the result of his calculations for "time, times, and a half" from the Book of Daniel, and arrived at the result that the Hebrew year in which the Messiah should arrive is 5777 - the current year. Yeranen Yaakov goes on to bring another verse which refers to the Babylonian Exile using the expression moadim (times), similar to the Book of Daniel. The prophecy in Jeremiah contains a hint that this year, 5777, will be the final year before Messiah. It describes a prophetic vision that after the exile, there will be a return to the Land of Israel. Hashem showed me, and behold two baskets of figs set before the temple of Hashem; after that Nevuchadretzar king of Bavel had carried away captive Yechonyah the son of Yehoyakim, king of Yehudah, and the princes of Yehudah, with the craftsmen and smiths, from Yerushalayim, and had brought them to Bavel. Jeremiah 24:1 The gematria (numerology) in Hebrew, of the words of the verse, beginning with the words "before the Temple", equals 5777. Biblical scholars have struggled with the Book of Daniel for thousands of years, so what makes these interpretations any different? Rabbi Yosef Berger, rabbi of the Tomb of King David on Mount Zion, explained why ancient prophecies like Daniel are being studied with new understanding today. "What Daniel wrote about the End of Days, our greatest sages have been trying to understand for generations. But the real meanings were intentionally hidden. Daniel himself said that these things will remain hidden until the end," he told Breaking Israel News. And he said: 'Go thy way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed till the time of the end.' Daniel 12:9 Rabbi Berger noted that Rabbi Moses Ben Maimon, the preeminent medieval Sephardic Torah authority known by the acronym Rambam, forbade attempts to figure an exact date for the arrival of the Messiah. But Rabbi Berger believes that this does not apply to our times. "It is written in the Zohar (the foundational source for Jewish mysticism) that in the days preceding the Messiah, all secrets will be revealed, and even small children will be able to explain explain prophecies and the most obscure sources," Rabbi Berger concluded. "Now, in our day, everything is being opened up. We are discovering these sources that hint at the Messiah that have existed for generations, and only now can we interpret them properly. This is a clear sign that they are now being intentionally revealed." Prophecy and Trump - By Daymond Duck - http://raptureready.com/featured/duck/dd254.html
The Bible clearly teaches that God raises up kings (and leaders), and God brings down kings (and leaders; Dan. 4:17). If this is true, and it is, then it is not unreasonable to ask, "Why did God raise up Donald Trump?" I was recently asked this question and I cannot be dogmatic about the answer, but here are some interesting possibilities: One possibility for the election of Donald Trump is Jerusalem. On Nov. 2, 2016, Mr. Trump signed a document committing himself to the implementation of the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995. If he keeps his promise, this means he will move the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Doing that would amount to official recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. On Nov. 9, 2016, the day after Donald Trump was elected to become the 45th President of the U.S., a Trump adviser said, "It (moving the U.S. Embassy) was a campaign promise and there is every intention to keep it." The Creator of the heavens and the earth said He will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling and a burdensome stone for the whole world at the end of the age (Zech. 12:1-3). America's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel will dramatically energize the controversy over Jerusalem. It is a controversy that won't end until the terrible battle of Armageddon takes place. A second possibility for the election of Donald Trump is the Jewish Temple. At least four Scriptures teach that the Jewish Temple will be rebuilt at the end of the age (Dan. 9:27; Matt. 24:15; II Thess. 2:4; Rev. 11:1-2). On Nov. 11, 2016, DebkaFile reported that Vladimir Putin has sent Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to visit the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem. Mr. Medvedev reportedly told the Jerusalem Post, "Russia never denied Israel's or the Jewish people's rights in Jerusalem and in its holy sites." Put another way, Russia recognizes that the Palestinians are not the only ones that have rights on the Temple Mount. Russia believes Israel also has rights on the Temple Mount. The next day, Nov. 12, 2016, Breaking Israel News (BIN) reported that Vladimir Putin visited the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem in 2012. BIN said Mr. Putin told a soldier "he came there to pray for the Temple to be built again." The Jewish Sanhedrin quickly sent letters to Trump and Putin asking them to support Jewish efforts to rebuild the Temple. A third possibility for the election of Donald Trump is a Psa. 83 war. Psa. 83 was written by Asaph who was both a prophet and a priest (II Chron. 29:30). Asaph asked God to protect Israel from neighbors that want to take possession of the Jewish holy sites (Temple Mount, etc.). Not all prophecy teachers believe Psa. 83 is a prophecy, but some including this one believe it is. It was written by a prophet and there is no proof that all of it has ever been fulfilled. Israel's neighbors have always rejected any nation's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Their hatred for the Jews and their satanic lust for the Jewish holy sites will surge if Mr. Trump moves the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. They will most surely try to destroy Israel and repossess the Temple Mount. With God on Israel's side and a strong ally in the White House the days of world leaders restraining Israel's all-powerful military are probably over. The gloves will come off. Israel will quickly drive her enemies back and greatly expand her borders. A fourth possibility for the election of Donald Trump is Syria. Escalating events in Gaza, Egypt and Jordan could bring Syrian and Hezbollah troops into the fray on Israel's northern border. Northern Israel would likely come under attack and suffer heavy damage. Damascus would likely be destroyed in one night (Isa. 17:1-14). A fifth possibility for the election of Donald Trump is the Battle of Gog and Magog. Mr. Trump doesn't like the agreement that Pres. Obama and others signed with Iran relative to that nation's nuclear weapons program. As a candidate for President of the U.S. Mr. Trump called it "the worst deal ever negotiated." He said he would use force if necessary to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear bomb. Iran has violated the agreement twice and Pres. Obama has done nothing. If there is violation under the Trump Administration, some think Pres. Trump will respond (Jer. 49:34-39). Russia and Iran keep moving troops and weapons into Syria. Iran wants to attack Israel. Russia has pledged to protect Iran's nuclear reactor. This writer doesn't really know why God raised up Donald Trump or what will happen, but Bible prophecy will be fulfilled and some or all of these events could drag Russia, Iran and others into the Battle of Gog and Magog. My Review of "Rapture Ready...Or Not?" Over the last 35 years, I have literally read hundreds of books on Bible Prophecy and End Time signs. I especially enjoy books on the Rapture, and I have read almost every Rapture-related book published. In all those years, devouring thousands of pages, and millions of words, I have not read a better book on the Rapture than, Rapture Ready...Or Not? Terry James might be physically blind, but he is spiritually sharp and well discerning beyond most authors. In "Rapture Ready...Or Not?" Terry has nailed the pre-trib Rapture, and removed any doubt what so ever about the Church going through the Tribulation. With great insight and Godly discernment, Terry explains with simple, yet profound words, why and how that he has come to believe the ways he does about the Rapture, the Tribulation, and the End Times scenario. Are happy days here again? I am sensing that even Rapture-watching believers, some anyway, now think that event is delayed while America returns to prosperity. Thanks to the 2016 election results, we may now return to the role of international leader. Is America about to be great again with a return to prosperity? A report on Friday said that in the wake of Brexit and Donald Trump, the European Union may fall apart. Have prophecy watchers been proven wrong? Neither of these fit into the presumed agenda. An Election or a Revolution? It's true that an eight-year national nightmare is ending. It's been a time where Christians have been targeted, America has declined, lawlessness has abounded, corruption has been the norm, and aberrations have been celebrated. It would be difficult to explain to a Martian why putting children at risk in transgender bathrooms is cool. So, millions of righteously indignant Americans got fed up with heavy-handed government telling them how to behave, what to believe, and what light bulbs to buy. They were sickened that the values of Jay-Z, Beyonce', Katy Perry, and Madonna were not just celebrated but pushed on the average American. They wept at the future for their children and grandchildren and went to the polls to bring sanity back. The media had told them Hillary Clinton was the slam-dunk winner. So had the polls. Clinton fireworks were set for election night. But few could afford healthcare, Americans were at risk in every big city and small town, and jobs had gone to foreign countries. Voters were ordinary people chipping away at our own Berlin Wall. They were sick of the glory going to "Black Lives Matter" when it was obvious that middle American lives didn't matter. We didn't have an election back on November 8, we had a revolution. What About the Globalist Agenda? The globalist agenda has hit a road block because President-Elect Donald Trump is not one of them. How can that possibly fit with end-time eschatology? The opposite should have happened. The ardent globalist, Hillary Clinton, should have won November 8 to keep that freight train on the tracks and the end-time clock racing. But Donald Trump's election is the single largest setback to the one-world aspiration of modern time. This even dwarfs Brexit. Brexit is in the little leagues compared to our election result. Surely the global cabal won't allow this to stand. Then there is Israel. As predicted in Zechariah 12:3, she had become friendless. Now America is circling back to be her staunch ally. How does this line up with end-time scripture? Does this perhaps delay everything? America in Prophecy Online prophecy writer Matt Ward states, "Trump's promise to 'make America great again,' is, I believe, a genuine aspiration. His nomination may be a reprieve, a last chance type of situation for repentance and the renewal of a once great nation and power. "But I am not sure that America, or the world, have that kind of time left. When I look around today, I can see the obvious convergence of end-time Bible prophecy in a way never witnessed before. This convergence is coupled by the clear speeding up of prophetic events. We are careening toward a point of no return. These two facts alone clearly point to the lateness of the hour." Ward continues, "If the assumption that we are rapidly approaching a point of no return is correct, a presidency that involves at least four or perhaps eight years of 'making America great again,' led by a man who genuinely wants to affect this change, would, therefore, seem to be incongruous with Bible prophecy." Business as Usual Let's say for the sake of discussion that America and even the world go back to "business as usual." Is that not what the climate will be at the time of the Rapture? As Bill Perkins writes in his Compass publication, "The Trump victory does seem like it fits better with Matthew 24 and Luke 17. Those verses say things should be normal before the Rapture. They specifically mention 'planting and harvesting,' 'eating and drinking,' 'building,' and social events. In other words, normal things in life. If Trump rights our sinking ship a bit, it would fit scripture like a glove." Perkins says, "Contrary to what was predicted, the stock market is rallying. The money people think Trump will do better than Obama on managing the economy. By His grace, God has given us our own Brexit moment--maybe even a Nineveh moment. Maybe this is God's answer to our prayers by temporarily slowing the progress towards the Biblically prophesied 'one world order.' He may have amazingly given us a reprieve from the illegal and unchecked madness of those in power." Imminency still reigns The important thing to remember as it concerns Rapture timing is "imminency." This suggests any moment. It's why the early church greeted each other with "Maranatha." From the earliest days of the church, the apostles and first-generation Christians nurtured an earnest expectation and fervent hope that Christ might suddenly return at any time to gather His church to Heaven. The writers of the Bible suggest nothing has to precede it. "Be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door." (James 5:7-9) Paul was convinced he himself might be among those who would be caught up alive to meet the Lord! That's imminency. A solid conviction that Christ could return at any time permeates the whole New Testament. Perhaps we have more time to delay the decay. We are to "occupy until He comes," be salt and light, and rescue the perishing while there is time. Many believe it is the Rapture of the Church that will devastate the world. Once this small but powerful remnant of believers is removed, all hell breaks loose. It matters not who is president, king, ruler, or emperor. False Teaching Alert Bill Koenig alerts readers in his weekly e-newsletter that, "There are people in the Kingdom Now/Dominion Theology community who believe that President-elect Donald Trump will have a major role in establishing the Kingdom on earth beginning in the United States and expanding worldwide." Koenig also says, "There will be many prophecies by self-appointed prophets in the days ahead who call President-elect Trump the modern day King Cyrus. They did the same when President George W Bush was elected and took office. However, his fate changed dramatically when he called for a Palestinian state and then pushed for it." Perhaps today The spirit of the Antichrist seems to reign even in America. The progressive left is rioting, burning, and behaving as though they cannot wait for the man of lawlessness to arise so they can worship him. I believe he is still waiting in the wings. Nothing has changed. The birth pangs will continue to reverberate around the world. As for Europe, the more it destabilizes the more it sets the stage for the Antichrist. The coming together of the ten kings that shall arise shall do so AFTER the Rapture. What is taking place now in Europe is not all that important. The Rapture is not delayed. The theme of the Bible is perhaps today. Don't grow weary in waiting. Keep watching expectantly. Jesus Christ will soon take His own to the Father's house (John 14:1-3). We are awaiting our "blessed hope" (Titus 2:13) and it is imminent. Daily Jot: The war for our very soul continues - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com
The ones who accused anyone who supported President-Elect Donald Trump to be haters, deplorables, unredeemables, bigots, racists and xenophobes are the very same people who are conducting violence, threatening lives and, well, hating fellow Americans. This is a clear indication of their hearts. They accuse people of being what they are. The news media and the Democratic Party had a significant role to play in this terrible division in our country. By shaping a narrative of bigotry, racism and hate and continuing to press it because the left was losing on the issues, they have caused a disgraceful and dangerous emotional response to the election. The war for our nation's soul did not end with the election. The Democrats have sown the seeds of suspicion and hatred to the point that they are now using it to paint each and all of President-Elect Trump's cabinet appointees that must be approved by Congress. First, they will use this suspicion and bigotry as leverage against anyone under consideration. Already, communist Democratic Senator Charles Schumer is questioning whether Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions can execute the office of Attorney General because of his stance on immigration, and of course, that Trump would select him. Instead of disagreeing politically, but understanding their loss, the Democrats are trying to undermine the entire Trump presidency before it gets started. Already, no matter who you are, if you supported Trump, a large number of so-called Americans label you as a bigot. The Democratic Party has done nothing to call for unity, but rather has poured gasoline to this fire. The apparent strategy is to continue to divide America down lines of race, immigration, and Islam, and claim anyone who disagrees with the Democratic Party platform is a racist or bigot or worse. The Democratic Party, by not promoting and demanding unity, is fomenting a kind of civil war that strikes at the heart of judging people for who they are perceived to be. The "party" of anti-bullying is the bully; the party of inclusion, is dangerously exclusive. They are attacking the heart and soul of America. We are at war. It is not subsiding. The very soul of who we all are as a people is under attack. The sooner we recognize it, the sooner we can deal with it. The election was only a speed bump, a rallying point for those who hate the American ideal-of which Christianity is the foundational keystone. As the Lord said in Jeremiah 17:9, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" And Jesus said in Matthew 7:16, "Therefore by their fruits you shall know them." Romans 14:6 says, "Let not then your good be evil spoken of." Stand up against those who sow hate among us and call you a bigot. Do it firmly, but with love that they might see the fallacy of their accusations. Daily Devotion: For He Is Good - Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org
Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. -Psalm 30:4 It seems as though merchants today don't really know what to do with this holiday called Thanksgiving. When it comes to other observances, like Halloween, they make a lot of money from their marketing efforts. And of course, Christmas is a financial windfall. But Thanksgiving? Well, they sell more turkeys than they usually do. But they don't really know what to do with this holiday, which is spiritual in its origins. In 1863, President Lincoln designated November 26 as a day of national Thanksgiving. We celebrated it annually on that day until 1942, when President Franklin Roosevelt designated Thanksgiving as the fourth Thursday in November. And just so we aren't fuzzy about which God we should give thanks to, this is what the pilgrims wrote in the Mayflower Compact, in 1620: We whose names are underwritten, the loyal subjects of our dread sovereign lord King James, by the grace of God, of Great Britain, France, and Ireland King, Defender of the Faith, etc. Having undertaken, for the glory of God, and advancement of the Christian faith, and honor of our king and country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the northern parts of Virginia. . . . They were not just coming to our fair shores to simply bring European civilization; they were coming to bring the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. It's very easy during our feasting to forget about the One whom we are celebrating. The primary reason we are put on this earth is to glorify God and to give Him thanks. Yet praise and worship are a sacrifice sometimes. The Bible doesn't say, however, to give thanks to the Lord because we feel good. Rather, it says, "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!" (1 Chronicles 16:34). He is worthy of our praise. FROM THE HEART
