There has been and will always be the great eschatological debate on the end-time topic of the "Rapture" or removal of the Church prior to the Tribulation Period or "Day of the Lord." This of course is the theme, if you will, of the RR site to get the message of the Gospel of Salvation in Jesus Christ out to as many souls as possible - that Jesus is coming back one day to take the believers out of the world before his wrath or judgment comes on the unsuspecting earth. Are you going? This is a warning to lost souls so they would see what's prophesied in the Bible concerning the coming judgment, and repent of their sins to Christ to get saved. Of course, there are believers and non- believers that have a different opinion on "how all this end-time stuff will take place, and in what order." The primary message is that you give your life to the Lord and become a child of God and inherit eternal life with Him. The word "rapture" comes from the Latin word rapturo, which is a translation of the Greek verb "caught up" that is found in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. Read "The Origin of the Concept of a Pre-Tribulation Rapture" at this link. This event is not the "Second Coming." You can research more of this in detail. So, if this is possibly true and going to take place soon, what are the Bible scriptures that show this, you might ask? I'm going to present a few of them, but this is where the big debate comes in. Each person has their opinion on which ones apply, which ones are not that clear, and which ones definitely do not. Some believe there will be no such event as a Rapture. All I can do is give you my opinion and add a comment as to why. Remember, each word and verse is there for a reason, and we always want to back up scripture with scripture. I believe "context-and cross-reference" is the key component to validating what a scripture is stating. 1 Corinthians 15: 51-52 "Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." [The Apostle Paul is revealing the mystery to the Corinthian church in A.D. 57, which has been revealed five years earlier to the Thessalonians - that, in a millisecond, something is going to take place and your body will be changed when the last trumpet sounds, with the dead being raised up in new bodies also. They won't know when, but something dramatic is going to take place]. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 "For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the Trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." [So here for the first time in A.D. 52-53, Paul is revealing his mystery to the church in Thessalonica, that Jesus is coming back one day to take them up in the clouds to meet him in the air and go to heaven. But the dead believers will precede them first, and there will also be a shout and the voice of an archangel. Paul is trying to bring comfort to them evidently regarding a conversation of someone dying back in verse 13. Also, in verse 18, Paul tells them to comfort one another by his words. Talk about hope for us now - we will escape death if we are here when Jesus comes back for us!] 1 Thessalonians 5: 9-10 "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him." [Paul is continuing his discourse on the removal of the church and is now reminding them of the coming "Day of the Lord" that is not known also. It comes as a thief in the night (Chp. 5:2). Again, he is emphasizing that the saints alive at the appointed time will not go through the judgment that's coming. Notice, he states whether we are awake (alive at his coming) or dead, we will be with Jesus. In verse 11, Paul brings up comfort again: peace and hope.] Revelation 3:10 "Because thou has kept the word of my patience, I will also keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them them that dwell upon the earth." [This is a letter to the church of Philadelphia showing their spiritual condition at the time. We believe that Jesus is revealing that, before he comes back the second time, he is returning to deliver his church from the wrath or Tribulation that's coming, and the church is not going to go through that. Thus the Rapture, in the air, to the clouds, taking us out of harm's way.] Here are some verses that just shout out: use your common sense and think about it. 1 John 3:2 "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." [John is saying that the Father loves us so much, we as believers are called the sons of God. How awesome is that? The world doesn't know us or God. They don't care, but God does. Here, God is revealing again in the Scriptures that He has something special for us that are living when his Son comes back. When "He shall appear" we will be like him, for we will see him as he is. Now, we know that when we go up with Jesus to heaven, we will come back "with him" to earth at his Second Coming (Revelation 19:14). Look at what it's saying! "When he shall appear," and out of Revelation, "following him on white horses, clothed in white linen" are two separate events separated by seven years at least. See the significance. It's not hard. Scripture is plain and clear.] Hebrews 10:25 "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching." [The writer of Hebrews is encouraging the brethren here in many ways in the faith and love of others. Hey, continue to meet and assemble for the edification of the church and comfort one another as the "day the Lord" draws near or approaches. It is extremely unlikely that the writer is speaking of the Tribulation period here due to the severity of it, thus he would be warning them of what's coming that they already knew of, from knowing the Old Covenant prophecies.] In finishing up on this, I wanted to bring up one more reference that is well known. It is from Luke Chp. 21, one of the three End-Time discourses that Jesus explains, with the other two coming from Matthew and Mark. In this one from Luke, Jesus is telling them about the conditions and judgment that will take place at the end. "It appears" that Jesus himself could be referring to the Rapture because of the following verses: Luke 21:37-42 "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour are your Lord doth come." [Many of us prophecy believers consider that this passage on Noe and the Ark refers to the time we are in due to the way the world conditions are. But this time, the saints will be removed to safety instead of destruction. Therefore, look right after that; verses 40-41 show the metaphor of "one taken," and the other person left. This resembles the rapture in that some will be taken and the others (the non-believers) will not. I consider this a high probability that Jesus is the "first" giving the church a clue of the Rapture, before Paul and the others.] So these are a few verses to show you what God's word states on this subject that is so much written about here at R/R. It is so highly controversial now, even among believers. All of this is my opinion from studying the Scriptures for a long time. We will wait and see how it turns out...sooner than later. I believe this will be my last article on the Rapture, as I have covered this enough in some of my previous articles. God Bless You, Clay All Scripture is from the King James Bible [email protected] Why Iran Funds Palestinian Terrorists - by Bassam Tawil - https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/13361/iran-funding-palestinian-terrorists In keeping with its long-standing policy of funding anyone who seeks to destroy Israel or kill Jews, Iran has decided to pay stipends to the families of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip who were killed during attacks on Israel. The decision refers to the Palestinians who were killed while attacking Israeli soldiers during the weekly Hamas-sponsored riots along the Gaza-Israel border; they began in March 2018 under the banner of the "March of Return." What are the implications of the Iranian decision? The message that Iran is sending to Palestinian families is: "If you want money and a good life, send your children to die on the border with Israel." In other words, Iran is telling Palestinian families that the best way to improve their living conditions is by sending their children to kill or injure a Jew. This is a message that is likely to reverberate far and wide among Arabs, well beyond the Palestinians. The expansion of Iranian influence to the Middle East in general and the Palestinian arena in particular began during the Obama administration, which turned a blind eye to Iran's aggressive intentions, and later embarked on a policy of appeasement toward its mullahs. Under the Obama administration, the Iranians must have felt they had a pass to do whatever they wanted. That is evidently why, today, they are sitting not only in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, but also in Syria, Yemen, Libya and Iraq. Recently, Gatestone reported how Iran was planning to take over the Gaza Strip. The article pointed out that the Iranians were strengthening their ties with Hamas and Islamic Jihad to ensure that the two terrorist groups maintained their tight grip on the Palestinian population there. One should probably not have expected anything different from the Iranians. In fact, the decision to fund the families of the Palestinians killed in attacks on Israelis is consistent with the anti-Israel and anti-Semitic policies of the rulers of Tehran, as well as others. The Iranians are even boasting of this decision. They are hoping that the move will bolster Iran's standing in the Arab and Islamic countries and allow it to continue meddling in the internal affairs of countries in the Middle East. It is no coincidence that the decision was announced shortly after Iran's purportedly "moderate" president, Hassan Rouhani, called Israel a "cancerous tumor" and a "fake regime" established by Western countries to advance their interests in the Middle East. Rouhani's remarks are further confirmation of Iran's openly declared goal of destroying Israel Iranian leaders and their Palestinian allies deserve credit for being honest and straightforward about their intentions. Earlier this year, Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, called Israel a "rabid dog" and said the Islamic world should arm itself against the Jewish state. Last year, the Iranians unveiled a digital countdown showing 8,411 days to what they say would be the "destruction of Israel." The prediction of based on a statement made by Khamenei in 2015, in which he said there would be "nothing" left of Israel by the year 2040. The decision to fund the families of Palestinian terrorists was announced during a conference of The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, a forum established in 1990 by order of Khamenei for the reconciliation of different Islamic schools and branches. The man who announced the decision was Mohsen Araki, the leader of the forum. Iran, he said, has decided to "adopt" the families of the Palestinians killed on the Gaza-Israel border. When the Iranians talk about "adopting" someone, they mean that Tehran will look after the families of those who targeted Jews and provide them with everything they need, including money, healthcare and education. Iran's Palestinian proxies, Hamas and Islamic Jihad, were quick to applaud the decision. They called it a "positive step toward unifying Muslims." In the words of Islamic Jihad leader Khaled al-Batsh, "The Islamic nation has no choice but to be united. We hope that the rest of the Arabs and Muslims will follow suit and support the marches and the lifting of the blockade [imposed on the Gaza Strip]." The Iranians even invited senior Hamas officials to the conference, thereby further signaling Tehran's continued support for the Gaza-based terrorist group that also seeks the elimination of Israel. The Hamas delegation was headed by Mahmoud Zahar, regarded in the Gaza Strip as the "commander in chief" of Hamas's military wing, Izaddin al-Qassam. The declared goal of the conference is to forge unity between Muslims. For the Iranians and their proxies, Islamic unity is a prerequisite to advancing the ultimate goal of removing the "cancerous tumor" (Israel) from the face of the earth. Iran has been doing its utmost to achieve this goal. Were it not for Iranian support, the Lebanese Shiite terrorist organization, Hezbollah, would not be aiming tens of thousands of rockets and missiles at Israel. Were it not for Iranian military and financial backing, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other terrorist groups would not have been able to fire more than 400 projectiles at Israel in 24 hours, as they did last month. Iran supplies the means to anyone who shares the Islamic Republic's objective of eliminating Israel. Hezbollah has been receiving billions of dollars from the Iranians in order to prepare for the next war against Israel. Hamas and Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip have been receiving political, financial and military aid from Iran in order to continue their attacks on Israel. Iran's actions are not only directed against Israel, but also against the US. As Hussein Sheikh al-Islam, a senior official with the Iranian Foreign Ministry, explained: "The latest decision [to fund Palestinian families] is aimed at supporting the Palestinians in the face of American conspiracies to eliminate the Palestinian cause and rights." To set the record straight: Iran cares nothing for the Palestinians; Iran seeks to obliterate Israel, and if it could, obliterate the US, as its expansion into South America suggests. It seems that some mullahs in Iran cannot wait for Khamenei's prediction of Israel's destruction in 2040. The Iranian money promised to the families is meant to encourage other all Arabs and Muslims to send their children to launch rocket attacks on Israel and throw stones and firebombs at Israeli soldiers. The money is not going for the building of medical clinics or schools in the Gaza Strip. Iran is prepared to pursue its fight against Israel and the US to the last Palestinian or Arab or Muslim. In fact, the mullahs might well like to see more Arabs and Muslims die in order to promote the jihad against Israel and the US. The question is, will the international community allow this plan to continue, or will it wake up to the fact that Iran has much more than Israel and the US in its sights? Getting Anxious - By Daymond Duck - https://www.raptureready.com/2018/12/02/getting-anxious-daymond-duck/ In Sept. 2015, delegates from 193 nations unanimously approved a UN document called "Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development." The preamble of the document called it a "New Universal Agenda." The goal is to establish a world government, a world religion and a world economic system by 2030. The Bible clearly teaches that a satanic world government is coming. But God is in control and He is not bound by UN goals. He can speed it up, slow it down or let it take its course. Having said this, 2030 is slightly more than 11 years away, and the globalists appear to be getting anxious to start the ball rolling on their so-called "New Universal Agenda." In a speech at the Paris Peace Forum (on Nov. 11, 2018) that was held to observe the 100th anniversary of the end of WW I, German Chancellor Angela Merkel attacked "nationalism" and "destructive isolationism." She was clearly attacking Pres. Trump and his "America First" policies. She said, "We know that most of the challenges and threats of today can no longer be solved by one nation alone (by the U.S.), but only if we act together (as a world government). That's why we have to stand up for this kind of collaboration" (why we have to oppose Pres. Trump's "America First" policies). She added, "Close international cooperation (globalism) on the basis of shared values (one-world religion) that are enshrined in the UN charters (included in the UN documents): This is the only way to overcome the horrors of the past and pave a new future" (their New Universal Agenda). Also, in Nov. 2018, it was reported that the UN Human Rights Committee has drafted a memo that calls for abortion to be made a human right and all laws that oppose abortion to be declared illegal all over the world (global laws that supersede national laws). This is very similar to the recent report that the UN Refugee Agency commanded Pres. Trump to let the people in the caravan that is approaching the U.S.-Mexico border into the U.S. These UN agencies do not have the authority to decide what is illegal in the U.S. or to command the President of the U.S. to comply with their UN orders. Nevertheless, the UN Human Rights Committee has called for a global law that every nation on earth will be required to obey (one law that supersedes the laws of every nation on earth, including the U.S. Constitution). It is easy to believe that the UN has changed its tactics and declared war on the U.S. and any nation that disagrees with its desire to establish a one-world government and a one-world global ethic. The UN is now demanding a worldwide crackdown on nationalist populism (those who oppose globalism, LGBT rights, open borders, Islam and more). The UN believes national populism (what is popular with the people of a nation) is an evil and growing threat to world government and world religion. They want opponents of world government and world religion to be prosecuted for violations of international law. International laws are an effort to silence enough of the opposition to world government and world religion to meet their goal of a global takeover by 2030. This is no less than a UN demand for the persecution and prosecution of people that oppose world government and world religion. It will lead to a demand for people to support world government by taking the Mark of the Beast. In addition to calling for the opposition to be prosecuted for violating international laws, the Antichrist and False Prophet will order the death of those who oppose it. Trying to force people all over the world to believe what the UN believes (that LGBT, Islam, and abortion are good, but criticizing it should be outlawed and prosecuted) is also a major step toward a global ethic (one-world religion); and the UN appears to be getting anxious to bring it in. Incidentally, on Nov. 23, 2018, German Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke at an event called "Parliamentarianism between Globalisation and National Sovereignty," and she said, "In this day, nation states must today-should today, I say-be ready to give up sovereignty." A satanic world government that will persecute and kill billions of people is rising, and there is widespread concern that many in the Church are asleep and not praying. Such upheaval will further destabilize an already unstable world. For those of us in the United States, precursors to those end times movements of people are beginning to hit close to home. Right now, thousands of migrants continue to mass along the Mexico-USA border. The Department of Homeland Security says that historically only about 10% of those seeking asylum will be found eligible for it. But it may be even lower this time because people still in the caravans have already been offered asylum by Mexico and refused it. Refusing asylum indicates that asylum is not their main goal. On the news, we see close-up pictures of women with children. But in wider shots, you can see that the vast majority in the caravans are young men. The DHS has confirmed this obvious fact. Letting these young men into the country is problematic because of the difficulty in investigating their past. Are they drug dealers or members of a gang? Are they trying to get into the US in order to escape the consequences of a criminal history in their home countries? It's difficult to get solid information. DHS has verified that at least 600 people in the latest caravan to arrive at the border are known criminals. But we don't know the total number of criminals because so many of these people cannot be properly vetted. On November 26th, DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen issued a statement regarding the violence at the San Ysidro Port of Entry just south of San Diego. "The violence we saw at the border was entirely predictable. This caravan, unlike previous caravans, had already entered #Mexico violently and attacked border police in two other countries. I refuse to believe that anyone honestly maintains that attacking law enforcement with rocks and projectiles is acceptable. It is shocking that I have to explain this, but officers can be seriously or fatally injured in such attacks. Self-defense isn't debatable for most law-abiding Americans." Before the election, the media told us that the caravans heading toward the US border were fake news - an idea drummed up by the President to scare people. The day after the election, talking heads on CNN were telling their audience that Fox News had already dropped the caravan story. At that very same moment on Fox News, they were discussing the increasing dangers of the caravan. DHS says the first caravan wound up being larger than expected, with some 8,500 already gathered in Tijuana and Mexicali. But there are other caravans on the way. Most of the people in those caravans have been sold a bill of goods. They've been lied to at every turn. For the most part, they want to come to America for the good life. That's understandable, but not the same thing as a quest for asylum. There are ways to enter the United States legally. But an assault on the border is not one of them. Daily Jot: The theft of a republic - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com If Americans continue to allow states with Democratic majorities in their statehouses to systematically pass laws legalizing voter fraud, the American experiment of a Constitutional Republic will be handed over to revolutionary communists and socialists without a shot fired. California, for example, passed a law in 2016 that allowed third parties to collect ballots and deliver them to polling stations without the voters themselves ever showing up to vote. Experts are pointing to this law as evidence why Republicans who won on election day were defeated several days later after ballots postmarked by the election date arrived after election. California's voter harvesting law caused the flipping of several Congressional seats. Government Accountability Institute research director Eric Eggers told Breitbart News that what was once considered voter fraud in California, for example, is now legal. When people apply for drivers licenses, they are automatically registered to vote, despite whether they are legal citizens. Eggers said, "the political campaigns now have free license to go find you, and essentially even if they don't find you, just turn in a ballot in your name." Brietbart News Senior Editor Joel Pollak concluded that several California congressional seats were stolen. He said, "The practice explains several mysteries about the 2018 election, such as: why mail-in ballots caused massive shifts toward Democrats in races Republicans thought they won on Election Night; why Republicans won the turnout battle in the primary, but lost it in the general election..." As a veteran of political consulting for 16 years, I experienced vote tampering at Congressional-level and above campaigns. Chicago, for example, is notorious for dead people voting. This Voter Harvesting law in California only legalizes what has been done for decades. Without having to show identification, and nowadays proof of citizenship, there is open season for voter fraud. Campaigns and political party machines can keep track of who has voted during election day by checking the voter rolls. If someone doesn't vote, they can send someone in the place of the registered voter to cast a vote. With voter harvesting, campaign operatives can present ballots days later when they know the initial outcome of the election. The dead, illegal aliens, or others who didn't vote can then vote. Many Christians do not understand why this is important. Communist rule, which is what can happen when votes are harvested or otherwise tampered with, is dictatorship beyond any American's imagination. It is the replacement of God with government. Now that may not affect your private beliefs, but it will affect your freedom of speech and the freedom to worship. In this, it also impacts your ability to conduct the commandment of Christ in Mark 16:15, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." The Communist Manifesto calls for abolishing all religion and all morals. Ever wonder how communist countries and dictatorships have elections and the dictators stay in power? Look at California. That's how. Daily Devotion: When God Built a Hero - By Greg Laurie - www.harvest.org But while his brothers were jealous of Joseph, his father wondered what the dreams meant. -Genesis 37:11 The life of Joseph has all the earmarks of a real page-turner. It's the story of an over-indulgent father, a somewhat spoiled son, jealous brothers, and an international food crisis. But it's also a story that shows the hand of God at work in every scene, ruling and overruling the decisions people make. In the end, God built a hero. He saved a family and created a nation that became a blessing to all the earth: the nation Israel. You see, Joseph wasn't just a world changer. Joseph was, quite literally, a world saver. Because of the decisions he made, thousands of people had their lives changed and saved. Joseph's story is a classic rags-to-riches tale as he faced constant setbacks and rose from complete obscurity to become the second-most powerful man on Earth. Joseph was a man who used his faith. While we see some heroes of the faith in Scripture struggling with doubt or experiencing momentary lapses of faith, we cannot find a single shade of doubt in the life of Joseph. Faith is like a muscle. It needs to be put into practice and applied. Joseph certainly did that. In his story, we learn how to overcome adversity, how to face envy from others, how to resist sexual temptation, and how to lay hold of and have faith in the promises of God. Interestingly, Joseph himself appeared to be someone with little promise. He was a simple shepherd boy, the twelfth of thirteen children. He also was a spoiled young man, given to visions of grandeur in some ways. Joseph had dreams, but in his case, his dreams came from God-and God preserved him and blessed him. If you want to be a world changer, you need to be a man or woman of faith.
