One, the Bible says rain will return to Israel at the end of the age (Isa. 35:1, 7), and on Dec. 15, 2020, a winter storm moved through Israel, dropping as much as 4 ½ inches of rain in the lower Galilee and Jezreel Valley. Flood warnings were issued for the southern deserts, and flooding occurred across the country and in several coastal cities. Two, the Bible says there will be persecution of believers at the end of the age, and on Dec. 15, 2020, NY Gov. Cuomo signed a bill that outlaws selling or displaying “symbols of hate” (this includes symbols of alleged white supremacy, neo-Nazi ideology, the Confederate Battle Flag, and more) on state property, including fairgrounds and parks. Hating people is a sin, but the problem with this is who gets to decide what is a “symbol of hate”? Some communities already outlaw Bibles and flags at nursing homes, gated villages, etc., some liberals call Christians Nazis, racists, white supremacists, homophobes, etc., and some gays call the Bible hate literature. This law will lead to more persecution of Christians if the wrong people are in control. Three, on Dec. 18, 2020, it was reported that an influential group called Secular Democrats of America (SDA) sent a 28-page document to former Vice-Pres. Biden’s transition team urging Mr. Biden to eliminate the political clout of the religious right (white Christians that do not want to surrender the sovereignty of the U.S.). SDA is an anti-Christian group that calls the religious right a national security threat, it wants the Dept. of Justice to restrict indoor gatherings even in houses of worship, and it is supported by several elected Democrats in Congress (Jamie Raskin, Jared Huffman, Jerry McNerney, and at least 11 others). The idea of eliminating the political clout of Christians from government is another sign that the Tribulation Period is close. The Bible says, “And he [the Antichrist] shall speak great words [blaspheme] against the most High [God], and shall wear out [persecute] the saints of the most High [Tribulation-Period believers], and think to change times and laws [get God’s influence out of government and society; change our calendar; drop BC and AD because they are about Jesus]: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time” (Dan. 7:25). Just a few years ago, who could have imagined that one of the two major political parties in the U.S. would eliminate all references to God from their party platform, place restrictions on church attendance, and call for the removal of those that have Judeo-Christian values from our government? But the Bible says, “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness” (II Thess. 2:7-11). Following the Rapture, God will allow the Antichrist to deceive those that have refused to believe the Bible; God will send them strong delusion, causing them to believe the lies of the Antichrist; and their delusion will cause them to be damned. This attempt to define Bible-believers as an enemy of government so liberals can establish a godless New World Order is leading the world toward other things that the Bible says will happen: Persecution, the Mark of the Beast, and their own eternal damnation. I say it often, but it cannot be said too much: every individual needs to make their salvation sure because the Rapture and Tribulation Period are drawing near. Four, concerning corruption, evidence is piling up that several members of the Biden family (including Joe) have been profiting off Hunter’s influence-peddling schemes, and there are growing calls for an investigation. Five, in the Dec. 18, 2020, issue of “Koenig’s Eye View from the White House,” William Koenig reported that: Stronger evidence of voter fraud will soon be coming forth. There is a real possibility that Republicans will challenge the election on Jan. 6, 2021. It has been reported that when Texas and several other states sued Pennsylvania, Chief Justice John Roberts and the liberals refused to hear the case, not because Texas was wrong, but because they were afraid that a Trump victory would tear the U.S. apart (should I say Antifa, Black Lives Matter, etc., in Democrat-run cities and states will become violent). There is no guarantee that the U.S. Supreme Court will hear the cases with stronger evidence of widespread voter fraud that are coming forth, but if they do not hear the cases, it will be a clear indication that the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Constitution are now worthless. We are fighting for our future and the future of America’s freedom.” If the U.S. Supreme Court is so corrupted and intimidated that it will not take a case that involves the freedom of the U.S., what choices do honest citizens have? Six, concerning deception and lying at the end of the age, on Dec. 19, 2020, Rev. Franklin Graham said, “In 2016, when Trump told Americans the government was spying on him, the media said that he was paranoid. The Obama administration and the Democrats said that this was an absolute lie and that Donald Trump was not fit to be president, only for us to find out later that the U.S. government did spy on Donald Trump, and what he had said was, in fact, true.” Graham said, “President Donald Trump has been right on many issues about how he has been treated during his presidency, and when he says the election was rigged or stolen, I tend to believe him.” Seven, the list of prophecy teachers that believe that the U.S. must decline or fall before a world government can be established is long and impressive. As stated above, several Democrats are calling for Christians to be removed from the U.S. government and church attendance to be regulated; the U.S. could soon have an illegally elected president whose son sold out our nation; the U.S. Supreme Court could be so corrupted it will not act; and many political and media heads have been lying to us about the Trump administration. Some prophecy teachers believe the Supreme Court was right to believe that doing the right thing and overturning the election could lead to rioting in America (wickedness as in the days of Noah), and it could also lead to Russia, Iran, Turkey and others thinking it is a good time to attack Israel (the Battle of Gog and Magog). It is easy to see how America can decline and a world government can rise just as the Bible says. Eight, the Bible says there will be an evil world government after the Rapture of the Church. From Jan. 25-29, 2021, a very rich and powerful group of government leaders, international business leaders, media giants, and others (including several in the U.S.) will meet in Davos, Switzerland, for the “Davos Dialogues” (a UN World Economic Forum discussion of ways to reset or change the world’s government, economies, societies, etc.). They plan to submit (actually, they will just be lining up support because they already know what they plan to do) recommendations to the “Great Reset” meeting in May 18-21, 2021 – to replace Capitalism with Socialism, replace cash with a digital currency, replace the U.S. with a handful of nations or leaders from groups of nations, redistribute the world’s wealth (your wealth and property), place all wealth under their control, eliminate freedom of speech, eliminate freedom of religion, eliminate private property, and more. The “Great Reset” meeting will approve this diabolical plan and call for action by the IMF, World Bank, G-7, and G-20 nations at their fall meetings. If elected, Joe Biden will do more than approve the plan; he will try to make it happen. U.S. support will probably bring it to fruition and help the UN accomplish its goal of having a world government in place by 2030. Netanyahu’s approval) and said, “Step-by-step, Israel is getting closer to the Temple.” Mr. Halevi appeared to be saying Israel is moving toward a rebuilt Temple, but not necessarily that it will be rebuilt soon. The Bible says it will happen, and I believe the Temple will be rebuilt after the Rapture of the Church, in the first few weeks of the Tribulation Period, and Israel’s current normalization treaties with several Arab nations will lead to a seven-year covenant that will allow a rebuilt Temple on the Temple Mount. Finally, God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this. But what kind of review is in order for such an uncommon year, as 2020? An uncommon review. If you are at all Biblically familiar, you have heard the popular phrase: 'last day's'. And while many may argue that we are indeed in that period of human HIStory, few would suggest that we are in the last of the last days known as The Great Tribulation, which is characterized in part, by a global leader with world-wide dominance, who demands full submission from the peoples of the earth. The intent of this review will be to examine what may potentially be a precursor, a global set up if you will, for those dreaded final years. Therefore, this will be a review of 2020 which will focus on a series of very provocative 'what if' questions, designed to encourage us to think Biblically, critically, yet outside the box. It will not be the purpose of this article to attempt to answer any of these questions. Rather, to suggest that we each examine the Word of GOD and look about us with a Biblically discerning eye, inquiring of the LORD to accurately connect the dots between what He has said and what our eyes see. In other words, to 'Watch and Pray', to be 'sober minded' in order that we be able to discern the will of the LORD and to not be caught unaware by the schemes of the Enemy. And so ... What if - • This period we are in is being used by Holy, Righteous GOD, as a judgement against all of the innocent blood that has been poured out over the whole earth, by allowing the 'enemy to come in like a flood' to set the stage for the final period of human HIStory known as The Great Tribulation/Time of Jacob's Trouble? • The use of a global threat of a killer virus - has all been deliberately planned: (1) To collapse the US economy by the unprecedented, prolonged closing of businesses? (2) To force as many Americans as possible to become dependent upon the government for their: food, housing, medical care & transportation - so that the truth of the scripture which says "The borrower is slave to the lender" will reach its full application and the vast majority of Americans will have no choice but to come crawling to the almighty provider: The Government? (3) To erase the lives of the most vulnerable among us, those who cannot contribute to society but are merely a drain on the resources of Government - the elderly, those with multiple 'co-morbidities', the disabled and the poor, allowing the young and healthy to be relatively unaffected? • There is a speedy ('miraculous') development of a vaccine just in the nick of time to 'save' the human race from a virus with a 99% survival rate? • This vaccination is accompanied by bold calls for the forced vaccination of the entire population? • The refusal to be vaccinated would result in the inability to hold a job, freely travel, receive an education, attend public gatherings or receive other medical treatment? • Your extended family and friends forbid personal contact, unless you've been vaccinated? • Your church family requires proof of vaccination? What would you do? Perhaps it would be wise to consider such potential realities - before - we have the pressure of being faced with such decisions? Furthermore, knowing that it is always in the heart of our loving Father, to bless and not curse, that He desires for His bride to 'return to her first love' to refine His own like pure gold and that He delights in taking what the enemy has intended for evil and using it for the good of those who are the called according to His purposes might it be possible, even likely that our Sovereign GOD is accomplishing two dramatically opposite things at the same time? We need only reflect on the way in which He used the enormously trying experiences of Joseph's surrendered life, to refine and prepare him for the calling placed on his life as a young boy. And what of the shepherd boy called to be King? With a surrendered heart, God was able to prepare David for the Throne. The Word of GOD is replete with examples of how adversity and even judgement could be used to accomplish profound transformation and blessing in both individuals and nations - at the same time - for those willing to surrender to Him. So, what if - • 2020 is not the storm, but the calm before the storm? • This year long 'time-out' which may have been orchestrated by the Enemy of man's soul, is also being used by the Most High GOD, the lover of mankind, as a Divine gift? • He allowed this gift of time, to remove all that has distracted us? • He has allowed this gift of a quiet time, in order to remove all of the 'noise', that humanity might ask some really important questions about the purpose of life and what really happens after death? • He is using what was intended by worldly forces for evil - to invite humanity to seek Him, the source of life and hope? • He is calling His own to put away 'the sin that so easily entangles' that we might know Him on a deeper level, in order to strengthen us to 'run and not grow weary' in the real fight that lies just ahead? What if - you knew that the 'night' is nearly over and 'day' is almost here, would it spur you on to get serious with the LORD, would it give you courage to keep on keeping on? What if - you knew you only had a short time left to reach someone dear to you, with the love of Christ and the hope of forgiveness and newness of life? What if - you have become spiritually sleepy, and continued to hit the snooze button when your Heavenly Father has sounded the alarm to you again and again: 'Wake up, oh sleeper! Arise!' What if - you have grown spiritually lazy and fat and you only had now to get into spiritual shape for the fight before you, remembering that 'the weapons of our warfare are not carnal' and that 'we do not fight against flesh and blood, but spiritual force of wickedness...'? What if - 2020 is your last warning from your loving Heavenly Father to return to your first love? And what if - the Lord of Glory would want to use you, to be a light in this ever-darkening world, to allow others to draw near to the source of your peace and hope, Jehovah Shalom? It is my sincere prayer as we approach this year end, reflecting upon the uniqueness of 2020, that we will do so with an air of solemnity, of deep contemplation before the LORD, because He is absolutely speaking. May we each have 'ears to hear what the Spirit is speaking...' and hearts that surrender, willingly. Knowing God’s Intention - By Terry James - https://www.raptureready.com/2020/12/24/knowing-gods-intention-by-terry-james/ While we make the journey from 2020 to 2021, I’m getting incoming (verbal mortar rounds) that bombards my temperament, which, according to my late friend Tim LaHaye, must be “Spirit-controlled.” That was the book he wrote –The Spirit Controlled Temperament—that, Dr. LaHaye once told me over lunch, really set his influence in ministry on the pathway the Lord wanted for him. It’s a real test, and I depend on the Lord completely to keep my temperament at a level it’s supposed to be. Otherwise, I would lose it while I’m confronted with things attributed to our God from self-authoritative voices and word processors that grate on my spiritual senses. Now, I must say that much of the grating comes from my own, admittedly, sometimes intransigence—i.e., I’ve been told by some closest to me that I’m hard-headed once my thoughts are set. It is with full admission of that human frailty that I approach this commentary. A number of emailers have in recent days sent messages that, to me, come just short of saying God is wrong in His dealings with the election, America, and, in effect, with His people. Others, whose articles I’ve read, proclaim, as if the writers were personally briefed by the Lord, that God has determined to judge America and dismantle the nation. And, one such writer says, 2 Chronicles 7:14 is for Israel only, not for Christians of today. God has only made covenant with one people, and that is the nation Israel, not with America or any other people. I agree that the Lord has made a covenant only with one nation, but I disagree vehemently that He has made covenant with only one people. —Well, maybe I shouldn’t say “vehemently,” as that doesn’t sound “Spirit-controlled.” But I do disagree strongly. The Lord of Heaven has most certainly made a covenant with Christians, and we are people called by His Name. The prayer of 2 Chronicles 7: 14 is for people called by His name. I am one of those, and He hears and acts upon those prayers. His answers aren’t always what I think is best. As a matter of fact, His answers are, more often than not, different than those my hard-headed ways would have it. But His answers are ALWAYS the very best. And this brings me to perhaps the central point of the commentary. Emailers, as I’ve mentioned, have sent numerous messages saying similar things. They express—usually skirting coming right out and saying God is wrong—that they wonder why the Lord has now decided to abandon America and us (His Christian people) by allowing the election to go in a different direction than the emailers believe to be right. These aren’t rebellious children of God, I realize, once my temperament is controlled. They’re genuinely worried and want to vent their frustration. We all feel that way about the events of the last months and years, regarding the American governmental, societal, and cultural turbulence. So, I will use a Christian brother’s email to illustrate how it bothers me when people imply that they know God’s intentions and disagree with those intentions. Why did the Father allow this combination of human and demonic wickedness to steal this election? He has not allowed it before in my understanding of our history. He has allowed man to exercise his free will in our elections, and man has made the wrong choice most of the time in recent decades. He allowed it to go beyond just man exercising his free will this time. Why did He do so? He intervened miraculously in 2016 to put Donald Trump in power. I thought He would do so again this time if necessary. But He chose not to. I don’t understand why He would not give Donald and Mike another four years, barring the Rapture event, to continue being His positive instrument for righteousness and good, and for our very supportive relations with Israel. I believe the country has been on a stay of execution from the Father since the 1960s. So He has been patient with our wickedness for a long time. I don’t understand why another brief four years of patience was not possible. Again, this brother, I believe, is simply expressing his frustration, and I mean no severe criticism by using this excerpt as illustration of my own frustration with people who seem to think they know God’s intention. Those who do that bother me considerably. We, as His creatures—His creation—should, as people indwelt by the Holy Spirit, seek to, as Tim LaHaye wrote, have our temperaments controlled by Heaven’s governance. This includes seeking not only to refrain from anger without just cause, but to be dedicated to realizing that God is in complete control at all times. We can’t fully know His intention. We can understand what the ultimate outcome will be, because He has told us through His prophets in His Word. But the steps He will take to arrive at the destiny He has determined is within the purview of His omniscience exclusively. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8–9) Let us trust Him in these troubling yet exciting times. I say “exciting,” because He must even now be preparing our heavenly dwelling places He has promised to take us home to in the Rapture. There you are to go.” Deuteronomy 12:5 (The Israel BibleTM) A new Member of Knesset, a resident of the Golan, firmly established his political path with a powerful act of faith by praying on the Temple Mount. NISSIM VATURI: CONNECTING THE GOLAN TO THE TEMPLE MOUNT AND THE KNESSET Likud won 36 seats In the last elections but recent infighting led to longtime Likudnik Gideon Sa’ar breaking away to form his own party. Rather than weaken the party, the move allowed new and enthusiastic members to step into the breach. Nissim Vaturi, as the 40th candidate on the Likud list, stepped up, representing a unique and necessary voice in the government. Sworn in two weeks ago, Vaturi made a bold declaration of his intentions by ascending to the Temple Mount on Sunday and praying. “This was my first time on the Temple Mount,” Vaturi told Israel365News. “I wanted to go sooner, but since I was sworn in two weeks ago, I haven’t had a free moment. I felt it was important for my new function to connect to the source, the basis of our sanctity as a nation. The Knesset is based in the Biblical mandate to establish an assembly of leaders. It is, of course, different than what we had in the Bible but someone who represents Israel cannot be disconnected from the Creator. We are all anticipating the Redemption. This is far more important than anything material.” Vaturi, religiously observant, admitted that the experience was powerfully personal but he took the opportunity to make a nationalist expression. “I was fortunate to pray and to also say the shema (the one-line declaration of God’s kingship). I don’t know if they allowed it just because I am an MK but to cover my eyes and to recite that basic and all-encompassing prayer. Nonetheless, it is disturbing that we are not really expressing our rights as was hoped when we first returned to the site in 1967.” BEFORE ASCENDING, VATURI RECITED A SIMPLE PRAYER OF INTENT: “In the Holy Name and for the Holy Presence, in His mercy, and for the sake of all Israel, behold, we are about to perform the Mitzvah (Torah commandment) of turning to the Temple, as it is written, ‘There you are to go’.” This is taken from a verse in Deuteronomy: But look only to the site that Hashem your God will choose amidst all your tribes as His habitation, to establish His name there. There you are to go. Deuteronomy 12:5 “On the merit of this act, may we merit full Redemption and may we merit redeeming this place for the Shechina (holy presence) to dwell, and to build the Holy Temple quickly and in our days.” NOT THE ONLY ONE Vaturi is the second Likud Knesset member to not only enter the Temple Mount, but to call for the construction of the third Temple this month. Earlier in December, Israel365News reported that fellow Likud parliamentarian Amit Halevi lit Chanukah candles on Tuesday outside of the Temple Mount and said that step-by-step, Israel is getting closer to the Temple. Vaturi then recited the ‘Shehecheyanu” blessing which is recited upon auspicious and joyous occasions. “It is the right of every Jew to be able to go anywhere in the Holy Land, especially in the Holy city of Jerusalem, this place where we were before anyone else.” VATURI’S VISIT TO THE SITE RUFFLED THE FEATHERS OF SOME OF HIS NEW CO-MKS. “I was told that I should have coordinated it with various offices but I am a simple Jew and did what I believe a Jew should be allowed, even required, to do,” Vaturi said. Vaturi lives in the Golan and has personally experienced how difficult it is to operate a business in the region referred to by Israelis as “the periphery.” “I am hoping to bring attention to this as a member of the Knesset,” Vaturi said. “I have done business all over Israel but the obstacles that stand in the way of the Golan flourishing are substantial. The region is essential to the security and the society of Israel.” IN HIS INAUGURAL SPEECH TO THE KNESSET, VATURI SUGGESTED A NOVEL SOLUTION TO AN OLD PROBLEM. “Has any one of us thought about what is happening with the Arabs? Why should the Arabs not be obligated to perform National Service?” Vaturi asked the plenum. “The Arabs can volunteer in order to prevent violence in Arab society. Have them serve in their society; have them serve their society. Let them [improve] their society, so they won’t come here and whine about having a violence problem. They need to learn how to manage through National Service. No National Service, no social security.” VATURI IS A STRONG SUPPORTER OF NETANYAHU WHO HE COMPARED TO FORMER PRIME MINISTER MENACHEM BEGIN. “I want to ask the left-wing here: Is there a Likud leader whom you respected?,” Vaturi asked the gathered Knesset Members. “Is there such a leader? There is one leader whose name was used by parties in this house, that say ‘Netanyahu should act like Menachem Begin,’ my mentor. I grew up on his doctrine. But what did you say to Begin? You called him a murderer, you called him a Nazi, you counted the number of fallen outside his home. You managed to break him.” “You defeated us in ’92 with ‘we are fed up with you corrupt people,’ but this time it will not happen. Netanyahu is strong, Netanyahu does not break, and this kills you. What’s another $2.3 Trillion among friends, right? The window dressing on this socialist venture is that the president can go back to Congress and demand that wasteful spending be removed from the bill, that voter fraud be investigated and looking into holding liable big tech companies for content censoring. It also was agreed that every person receive $2,000 and $5,200 for a family of four to offset financial difficulty experienced because of COVID. I know I’m going to get a lot of pushback from this, but the president should have never signed this bill. It is just another gear-tooth locked into socialism and godlessness. Many Americans are angry and upset that Democrat bureaucrats and Democrat-majority court systems in swing states have suppressed evidence of changing election laws without the consent of the legislators in those states. Many more Americans are troubled by reports of widespread voter fraud while media, politicians and court systems refuse to even consider the evidence of such. Still Americans are distraught about ongoing lockdowns, privacy invasion, and the possibility of being forced to take an unproven vaccination for the COVID flu. All these issues, and Congress elects to throw untold billions at foreign interests while providing so-called stimulus checks to businesses and individuals. It is untold billions because the bill itself is nearly 6,000 pages. Who really knows what is in it? Point is: Americans truly no longer have a say in their nation’s business. We are not confident that our votes count. Quasi-elected officials break the law by changing it on their own and suffer absolutely no consequences. And the politicians we ostensibly vote into office just spend money they don’t have, give businesses and individuals a little money, and send the rest overseas to who knows what purpose. This, my brothers and sisters, is nothing short of socialism. It crosses the lines. We are no longer a Constitutional Republic except in name. The Congress is out of control. The Courts are out of control. Government accountability is out of control. Have we lost what it is to be American? Have we lost what it is to be Christian? It is one thing to say that we are Americans or Christians, it is still another to actually live it. We have become such a large nation of diverse interests, that socialism is welcomed by many. Many say they are Christian, but their deeds say otherwise, and their doctrines and beliefs belie the tenets of the faith. The two together have created a difficult situation. As we look toward 2021, we need to do a deep self-reflection of what we believe it means to be an American and a Christian, and begin to speak and act as such. Otherwise, the nation has no moral, ethical or fiscally responsible compass. As Christ said in Luke 12:48, “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required.” The ultimate gift of salvation comes with responsibility–showing love and respect, holding accountability, and leading others as Christ would have us lead. The most important time is when you lay the foundation and put in the wiring, the plumbing, and all those other important features of the house that will support everything yet to come. In the same way, the most important time in life is at the beginning, in the time of our youth, when the foundation is being laid. It’s when we’re developing our habits and forming our attitudes. It’s during our youth that we make decisions on things like careers and marriage that affect us for the rest of our lives. We sow seeds that we’ll reap in the years ahead. That’s why we’ve always had an emphasis on reaching out to each new generation on our church campuses and through our evangelistic events. When we started Harvest Christian Fellowship, we were a church of young people. But times have changed. Our kids have grown up. And now they have kids. Time is passing on, and that is fine. But I’m not interested in living in the past. I’m interested in what God is doing today and what He will do tomorrow. I’m interested in pressing forward and reaching new people. However, it doesn’t mean that in the process we should neglect people who have faithfully attended over the years and are growing old with us. Nor does it mean that we stray from the ways of the Lord to which we’ve committed ourselves. But we do want to continue to reach the next generation. If we can give our kids the message of the gospel so they’ll turn their lives around and lay a proper foundation, then they will be the leaders of tomorrow.
